14 Terrifying Things About Your Baby That Are Totally Normal

If you were to ask my husband on the day my daughter was born, he would have told you that she wasn't the adorable baby I saw. To him, she was an eight-pound bundle of medical emergencies. From the look of her, he swore she had two different forms of skin cancer, and if we ever gazed at her for too long, he'd find something devastating to point out: "Why are her legs curved like that?" "Her eyes - they're crossed again!"

Thankfully, all of those horrific things he discovered about our baby turned out to be, well, normal baby stuff . . . as weird as some of it is.

To calm your nerves, here are most of the strange but perfectly safe physical attributes of your newborn baby.

12 Very Real Things That Happen When You Give Birth to a 10-Pound Baby

Well, you've made it through nine months of growing your little human only to discover that your baby isn't so little - turns out, according to your doctors, you're on track to deliver a baby whose poundage is in the double digits! But have no fear - plenty of women have delivered a nine-pound or even 10-pound baby and have lived to tell the tale . . . and commiserate with fellow mamas. So sit tight, and prepare for these 12 very real things that can happen when you give birth to a big baby.

31 Real-Life Moms Tell the Dumbest Things Their Partners Said in the Delivery Room

Everyone reacts to stress differently. Some get quiet, some crack jokes, and others just can't seem to stop talking. And while there's nothing more nerve-racking for a new dad than being helpless in the delivery room, that's just no excuse for some of the asinine things that come out of their mouths.

We asked real moms, "What's the most ridiculous thing your partner said in the delivery room?" and some (if not most!) of the comments had us wondering how these dads ever made it out of the hospital alive.

  1. "'There it is! There it is!.... Nope, you sucked it back in!'" - Jen
  2. "They brought a doctor in to manually massage my uterus, which means that a woman I had never met was quite literally elbow deep in my hoo-ha. He said, 'Normally I'd be jealous of someone getting that deep in my wife, but since you saved her life and all, I'm going to let it go.'" - Jacey
  3. "With my firstborn, the ex asked the doctor no more than an hour after delivering when I could start working out to get back in shape. Yeah, he was a special kind of stupid." - Amanda-Rae
  4. "The baby was crowning and the doctor said, 'Look at this Dad.' He looked, then looked at the nurse and said, 'Man I'm so hungry.'" - Melissa

See the Shocking Surveillance Video That Caused a Special-Education Teacher to Resign

Teacher arrested after knocking over child

71-year-old teacher Amelia Stripling was arrested and charged with 2nd degree cruelty to a child after knocking over a pre-K special needs student in Georgia. http://cnn.it/1UwMn9W

Posted by CNN on Monday, March 28, 2016

Parents should feel safe dropping their children off at school every day - especially parents of children with special needs - so when Sarah Patterson dropped her 4-year-old son off at school last Thursday, she was not expecting to see a surveillance video of his teacher harming him later that day.

Amelia Stripling, 71, worked as a special-education teacher within the Tift County School District in Georgia for over 20 years, but this video showing her thrusting her knee into a 4-year-old's back, sending him flying through a door, has caused her to resign from her position at Tift County Pre-K Center. Though the young boy with special needs wasn't injured, the district reported the incident to the Division of Family and Children Services.

Stripling turned herself in to the police after a warrant for her arrest was issued and has been charged with second degree cruelty to a child. See the shocking surveillance video above.

This Hysterical Newborn Photo Proves That Babies Just Don't Care About Your Own Agenda

So .... This happened today! In case anyone wants to know what really happens during a newborn session.

Posted by Abbie Rogers Photography on Thursday, March 3, 2016

When parents plan a picture-perfect photo shoot with their newborns, they hope to leave with priceless images that show the special bond between parent and child. Luckily for one couple, their talented photographer managed to snap all of the intimate moments - including the exact instant their precious baby boy started peeing on Mom and Dad.

Considering that this little one was warm and naked for an extended period of time during this photo shoot, it shouldn't come as a surprise that he ended up relieving himself. But Abbie Rogers from Abbie Rogers Photography managed to catch an epic snapshot that showcased the baby boy midaction along with his parents' hysterical reactions.

Abbie told the Daily Mail Australia that this sort of thing happens during almost every newborn shoot but she's never caught it on camera before. "I had stepped down because he had started squirming and as soon as I did it happened so I snapped one quick image," Abbie said. "When you have little boys this happens a lot and this was the couple's third boy so it wasn't really a shock. We all had quite a good laugh."

While this image shows the less glamorous side of parenthood, it's a real and relatable moment that's bringing a good chuckle to many parents across the world.

A Gust of Wind Sent a Bouncy Castle Flying 500 Feet, With a Little Girl Still Inside It

The first time a bouncy house was carried away - with children still inside it - by heavy winds, it was deemed a freak accident. But because it has happened again . . . and again, it's no longer just some tragic fluke. It's a genuine cause for concern.

During an Easter Fair in Essex, England, this weekend, 7-year-old Summer Grant was playing in a Toy Story bouncy castle when a strong gust of wind swept up the dome-shaped inflatable structure, carrying her over trailers and caravans in the park before landing 500 feet away.

The incident - horrifically witnessed by her father, who chased after the house, and younger sister - left the girl seriously injured when the castle finally crashed to the ground on a hill, and she later died of those injuries at a nearby hospital.

"It was a sudden gust," Ray Smith, a representative of the Showmen's Guild of Great Britain, told the BBC. "Had it been a consistent wind they would have closed down all the inflatables."

However, other operators opted not to even open their inflatable attractions due to the weather forecast for that day. Smith was confident the fair's organizers properly staked out the castle, but a man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter by gross negligence.

Police are investigating the incident and urging any attendees with video of it to come forward. Meanwhile, others are calling for an all-out ban on bouncy castles at public events, particularly considering a similar incident - in which a giant inflatable suddenly collapsed - at the same venue just last year.

Robert Halfon, the Conservative MP for the town, implored such a law, saying all bounce houses "should be banned from town fairs, until we can be sure that they are completely safe, so such a horrific tragedy never happens again."

10 Things to Never Say to Pregnant Women

Pregnant women constantly receive well wishes and positive remarks about the new chapter in their lives, but unfortunately they also find themselves the recipients of some unflattering zingers. This Ikea Hack For Families Who Cosleep Is Truly Genius

If your kiddos are the type to wake up in the middle of the night and crawl into your bed, or you got sick of that and already started cosleeping so that everyone can get some shut-eye, this incredible Ikea hack may just be the solution to making sure everyone's limbs are kept to themselves while still having the security of all being together in one bed.

Mama and professional photographer, Elizabeth Boyce, has six kiddos - five of which are under 11 years old - and when sleeping in one bed with toddlers and tripping over older kids on the floor in the middle of the night got to be a bit much, she used her craftiness and some materials she already had to create this cosleeping masterpiece from a couple of Ikea Kura beds and a ton of comfy mattresses.

Elizabeth shared the steps to creating this bed that has room for two grown adults and five children on her blog, but really, the setup was simple. She used the two Kura beds to create pseudo bunk beds for her four middle kiddos, and placed a giant king-size mattress in the middle for her and her husband, and their youngest, Elijah.

So far everyone is loving the bed - the idea was to give everyone enough space to sleep better, and it seems to be working out well for them. Though the bed is one cohesive unit, each child has their own space to sleep with their stuffed animals and pillows, and Elizabeth says, "They are staying in their own beds, which is a miracle!"

This is the bed every cosleeping family didn't even know they needed. Send your thank you notes to Elizabeth, because she is a true genius.

To see where everyone sleeps and how they make it all work, see the photo below.

These Kiddos Caught on Camera at Weddings Are Hysterical - and So Typical

Whether you've already had a wedding, are in the process of planning one, or are so far from getting married that you can't even imagine what the world will be like when you finally get there (me), you will undoubtedly have a bunch of kiddos at both the ceremony and reception. But don't let these pint-size wedding guests fool you - yes, they look great in their tuxes and tulle-lined party dresses - they're still kids, and they're not afraid to prove it.

Let the nose-picking, funny faces, and messy eating commence.

Why TV Reboots Are Pointless, and We Should Just Let Go

Fuller House premiered on Netflix this year, after nearly 12 months of rumors, reunions, and official teasers and trailers. Most of the original cast returned for the reboot, and the updated storyline - D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure) is now a recently widowed veterinarian with two boys and a new baby, and her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and BFF Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) move in to their original San Francisco home to help her care for her kids - seems to be a hit with fans of the original show, so much so that it was renewed for a second season. Fuller House seems like a fun time, and it's clear that there are people out there who have enjoyed getting to find out where all these characters have ended up - but I haven't watched, and likely won't ever. I actually won't be watching any of the upcoming TV reboots, because I can't seem to understand why they keep happening.

Gilmore Girls is about to become a Netflix series, the X-Files revival is currently airing on Fox, and there's going to be a Baywatch movie starring Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson. There were reports last year that Will Smith was in talks to revive The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The Boy Meets World spinoff, Girls Meet World, is in its second season - it brought back original stars Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel and introduced us to the wise-beyond-her-years actress Rowan Blanchard. Cult classic Twin Peaks will be rebooted next year, as will Bewitched, MacGyver, and The Tick - who asked for a reboot of The Tick?!

Trends are cyclical, so it makes sense that the things that were cool 25 years ago would be cool now - and that the fashion and entertainment industries would capitalize on it. We've gone back to wearing overalls, backpacks, and Birkenstocks and find ourselves pining for the things that brought us so much joy "back in the day." It's the reason why Nickelodeon created their all-'90s TV block, The Splat, and why Hulu lets you stream shows like Daria and My So-Called Life. While I love and appreciate all things nostalgic - especially the pop culture moments that shaped me as a kid - it does seem like networks are falling back on reboots and spinoffs more than they need to, either out of laziness or for an easy profit. In a greater sense, this trend of resuscitating TV shows and movies that we grew up with speaks to our inability to let go: it's one thing to see the casts of our favorite bygone shows reuniting at high-profile events or doing group interviews to reflect on the fun they had while filming, but the fact that we so strongly feel the need to be updated on their (fictional) lives and make sure that they're aging in the same ways we are says a lot about how we embrace adulthood and perceive getting older.

One of my favorite shows growing up was Clarissa Explains It All. I lived for Clarissa (Melissa Joan Hart)'s wit, wisdom, and wardrobe, and have spent many recent evenings rewatching the show. Even as an adult, I can appreciate her clever one-liners and the ridiculous storylines - remember when she tried to attach giant balloons to her brother Ferguson so he'd float away forever? - but not once have I thought, "I need updates!" or wished there was a way to find out whether Clarissa and Sam moved to Brooklyn together or if Ferguson ever became a Republican senator. Cory and Topanga went to college and got married. We were there; we all saw it. We could safely assume that they would have a couple of kids and that Cory and Shawn would remain best bros. Did we really need confirmation of that in the form of a Disney Channel spinoff? Who was losing sleep at night worrying about D.J. Tanner's life path? Is it absolutely necessary to be brought up to speed on these characters' lives, instead of just living our own? Shows end for a reason, and fortunately many have made sure to tie up any loose ends before going off the air (even if they've dragged on past the point of being watchable). We got our happy ending between Ross and Rachel when she "got off the plane" and teared up when Mr. Feeny said, "Class dismissed." Breaking Bad wrapped up with a heart-wrenching death, as did Parenthood and Six Feet Under - the latter not only killed off all of its characters in a time jump but showed us exactly how they all died, too.

It makes complete sense to me why Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen would turn down the chance to reprise their role as Michelle Tanner in Fuller House. Not only do they - ahem - not need the money, but they've both made it clear that their acting careers are behind them, and they likely don't see any point or value in reestablishing them. I truly hope the cast of Friends also continues to decline offers for a reboot and - even though I'm a huge fan - that there isn't a third Sex and the City movie. Whether you want to call it holding on to the past or beating a dead horse, this culture of resurrecting TV shows from the grave is desperate and unhealthy. It's impeding our creativity and essentially cheapening the memories we have. Nostalgia is exciting because it's over, and we get to reminisce about it, for better or for worse. If everything we loved when we were younger just came back, where would the fun be in remembering it for what it was and how it made us feel?

I won't be watching any upcoming reboots, not because I'm some sort of television purist, but because I'd rather hold on to the feeling of staying in on Friday nights to sit in front of the TGIF lineup and waking up early the next morning to watch my favorite cartoons. I'm not tuning in to Fuller House because I want to remember D.J. and Kimmy as awkward teenagers, Uncle Jesse as the hot aspiring rock star, and Stephanie as the attention-seeking middle sister dancing to "Motown Philly." I don't need to know if Danny Tanner and Aunt Becky are still trying to wake up San Francisco, and watching Joey Gladstone doing a Popeye impression and saying, "Cut it out!" is never going to be as funny as it was in 1991. That's what reruns are for.

Beyoncé's Love of the Number 4 May Be a Major Key to Her Album Release

Pictured above: Beyoncé Knowles, not at all concerned about the anxiety she's given me.

I was having some trouble sleeping recently. I turned onto my back and stared at the ceiling for a few minutes, thinking about my to-do list at work and what to buy a friend for her upcoming birthday, when my mind drifted to something I believe most well-adjusted people lose sleep over - the release date of Beyoncé's next album.

The Beyhive hasn't been the same since she dropped her self-titled 2013 album in the middle of the night, and when it comes to her announcements, most of us now live by the doctrine of "If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready." Whether she's ruining my brunch plans and errand runs by releasing the "Formation" video on a Saturday afternoon or announcing a world tour right after slaying me with her Super Bowl halftime show performance, Beyoncé's antics have caused irreparable damage to my life - but that night, while pondering the potential ways she could destroy my existence with the release of her sixth album, it hit me: maybe Beyoncé's love of the number four is the key to finding out when it'll drop.

There are obvious reasons Beyoncé's album will be coming out in April, chief among them being that her tour kicks off in Miami on April 27. While it wouldn't be unheard of for her to tour without new material, it would be a pretty huge bummer for concertgoers (myself included). So my theory is that Beyoncé's sixth album will drop on April 4, 2016; the fourth day of the fourth month of a year that is divisible by four, a day that also happens to be her eighth wedding anniversary with Jay Z. Stay with me on this.

Any Beyoncé fan will tell you the significance of the number four in the singer's life. Her mother Tina was born on Jan. 4, Beyoncé was born on Sept. 4, and Jay Z was born on Dec. 4. They tied the knot in a secret ceremony on April 4, 2008 (divisible by four!) and got matching tattoos on their ring fingers of the roman numeral four, IV. When their daughter was born in 2012, they named her Blue (four letters) Ivy (the Roman numeral), and this year, their daughter Blue turned four years old. Beyoncé also named her fourth album 4 - and it was released on June 4. This is all evidence.

I believe that we will be blessed with Beyoncé's next album on April 4. That's my theory. Do I worry about being wrong? Kind of. Am I aware that Beyoncé could still pull the rug out from under me and release it unexpectedly, when I'm at my most vulnerable? Absolutely. But no matter what happens, I'm still pretty impressed with myself for coming up with all of this in the middle of the night (and through a Tylenol PM haze).

10 Steps to Finding Your Dream Job in 2016

You know that feeling on Sunday night. The weekend is coming to a close and you dread work tomorrow. Or, maybe you're just hitting the job market, and the pit in your stomach comes from the lack of compelling job openings out there. It doesn't have to be this way. Make 2016 the year you find your dream job. No, they aren't just for the movies. With these 10 simple steps, you'll be on the path to a fulfilling career. Are you ready?

  1. Be honest. What really is your idea of a dream job? Not working at all? Well, think again! That's called vacation. A dream job ideally makes you feel rewarded and recognized for your hard work, passion, and skills, and it keeps you challenged, learning, and engaged. A simple definition: a job you look forward to come Monday. As you think about what this looks like for you, consider: What type of people you like to work with. Extroverts or introverts? What type of product or industry excites you? Tech? Nonprofit? And consider the process or day-to-day qualities of the job you're looking for. Do you value downtime after work, or are you looking for a job that's also a hobby? One that will let you travel, or one that gives you more time with your friends and family?
  2. Think loosely not literally. Don't limit yourself to your major or past experience. Maybe you were a math major, but that experience crunching numbers will help you grow a start-up as a product manager. Or that English reading and writing degree will help you become a journalist. If you worked in accounting, you can use those finance skills to start your own business.
  3. Do some research. Are you missing something crucial from your résumé? Research online, talk to people, and spend some time brainstorming how you can make yourself ready for your dream job. Maybe it's just a matter of spinning the experience you have. And hey, it can't hurt to pick up a Magazine Publishing For Dummies book like Jennifer Garner's character in 13 Going on 30 if that's what you're trying to break into.
  4. Invest. Once you figure out how you can make yourself a more attractive candidate for your dream job, get working on it. Take a class, join a professional association, or volunteer or intern in your desired industry.
  5. Assess the opportunities in front of you. There might be a dream role for you at your current company. You should also take a sober look at your current job if you have one. Is there something you could change about it to make it better? Do you need more support? Ask for it. More recognition? Tell your manager. Help people help make your life better.
  6. Update your résumé, LinkedIn, and other social media accounts. Make sure they reflect your most recent skills and accomplishments, as well as your passion for your desired field and role.
  7. Write a draft cover letter. It's always easier to edit and tweak something. So get cracking on a draft letter tailored for your desired job. Once you're ready to apply for a position, you'll be happy you aren't starting from scratch. And this will help you act more quickly. Check out these seven cover letter tips for inspiration.
  8. Network. With everything ready to go, start asking for referrals. Think about people who work for your dream company, and reach out to them. It's good to be on the radar, even if there isn't a position available right at the moment. Keep an open mind in general and cast a wide net when it comes to industry events, coffee dates, or email pitches.
  9. Prepare, prepare, prepare. Once you get an interview, be sure to give it all you got. Research the company. Have examples and experiences to speak to. Try to get in the hiring manager's mind and figure out what the company needs and how you can meet those needs. If this is your dream job, make sure the passion shines through! And of course, nail the basic interview dos and don'ts.
  10. Stay hungry. Every job can get old, even your dream job. Revisit your goals and what you were looking for in your original job search from time to time. After reflecting on what makes you fulfilled, work with your colleagues to find more ways to make those dreams a reality every day.

The Ultimate Guide to Planning a Baby Shower

Why I Hope Not to See Pretend Pregnancy Announcements on April Fools' Day

The following post was written by Becky Thompson at Scissortail SILK, her blog that speaks on hope, healing, and faith for women. Becky lives in NW Oklahoma with her husband, their three young children, and whatever critters wander in from the wheat field behind their house. Look for her first book scheduled for release this Spring. Here, she writes about disappointment when trying to conceive.

Last year, I wrote this article - and it spread like wildfire. I heard from people all across the globe who agreed, and others who used some pretty strong language to tell me how much they disagreed. But out of all of it, I noticed one thing. It started a discussion. And sometimes? All it takes for change and hope and forward thinking to take place is for one person to say, "Sure lots of people do it, but that doesn't make it right."

And that is why with April 1st here, I feel it necessary to speak about this once again.

We have all seen them - a happy couple posing with a picture of a sonogram or a pair of little shoes, a smiling woman holding her tummy, a shock of disbelief on a man's face gripping a pregnancy test. They are pictures that lead us to believe that there is a baby on the way. We have also seen the status updates on social media. "I'm expecting!" We are to assume that someone we know is pregnant. Only around April 1st, it's not often true. Once we read the comments, we discover that what is expected is actually a tax return, or a great day, or something other than a baby.

And all of these are done for the sake of a few laughs and a great April Fool's Day prank.

But here's the deal. I'm asking you not to, and beyond that, I'm asking you to ask your friends not to either. Because the truth is, we all have friends who are suffering silently.

It's true. We all have friends who would love to have a baby, and month after month, they find themselves still waiting… still hoping. It is what they think about constantly. It is what they hope for endlessly. And deep down, they face the often relentless fear that they might not ever naturally have a child of their own.

See, after sharing a little of our own struggle to maintain a healthy pregnancy, I have learned that those who face infertility rarely discuss it openly in casual conversation. There will be plenty of status updates about babies and toddlers and children. Moms to be will discuss pregnancy cravings and appointments and ailments. It's easy to see the journey of those who are currently or soon will be parents.

But those who wait? Those who have gone for months or years hoping for a baby of their own? Well, let's be honest. You likely have no idea.

After all, you won't see many status updates that say something along the lines of, "Still not pregnant. #whenwillitbemyturn" …because for many, the journey to pregnancy it is a deeply emotional process. It's not something that comes up in everyday discussions. And yet, with each photo of a happy couple who is expecting, those who struggle will fear that they might not ever know that joy.

So, my request is simple. Let's not make a joke of it this year… or ever. Not because I'm trying to censor you. Not because I'm trying to steal away your fun. But because I want to remind you that there are people that you know… people that you care about… people that you love, who you might be hurting with a simple prank without ever realizing it.

I'm asking you to not make a joke of it for their sake. I'm asking you to spread on this message… for them.

So, yes. I do understand that there are many who do struggle with infertility who would not be bothered by this joke. There are many who are walking out this road who are full of hope and joy and laughter, and they might say, "Don't let my story, stop your fun." But I'm asking on behalf of those who aren't in that place. I'm asking on behalf of those that you love, who might be fighting daily for hope… who might be hanging onto hope by a thread.

Let's decide together that this April Fool's Day will be different, and maybe together? We will start a discussion about why we want it to be…

This Is What Happens When You Leave a 6-Year-Old Boy Alone With the Grocery List

When you're a 6-year-old, any chance to talk about butts is an opportunity you'll want to take - especially if it involves messing with your parents. When one couple left their grocery list unattended, their little boy decided to spice up the note with some classic potty humor. The first-grader's proud aunt posted a snapshot of the new and improved list that now includes seven butts and two farts in addition to the milk, butter, and pears. According to his aunt, the sassy kiddo's parents loved it, and she claims he happens to be an artist of all things butt. "My nephew's whole life is one big gross-out party," Anne tweeted. "He's living like there's no second grade."

The 1 Thing That Seriously Better Not Happen on The Walking Dead's Season Finale

We're on the precipice of what is sure to be TV history: the season six finale of The Walking Dead. Going into the episode, we've already gotten tons and tons of hints about what to expect. We know that we're going to finally meet Negan, a character who is frequently touted as one of TWD's more notorious and ruthless villains. We know plenty about him, based on a new interview with one of the showrunners and all the other commentary from the cast. With all the information we've received in the last few months, though, there's still one mystery that hanging ominously over our heads.

Who will Negan kill on the season finale?

We have plenty of ideas for who will die when season six concludes. The biggest suspect, of course, is Glenn. He might be the one to go, mostly because he's the one Negan kills in the comics. We've floated other theories, too; we thought maybe Maggie would be a tragic choice, and we've had the strangest feeling that the show has been setting up Carol for an awful fate.

Here's the thing, though: we've gotten so lost in which major character will die, we haven't acknowledged one glaring possibility. It's something that would be far worse than any grisly murder the writers could concoct. The finale may be a full 90 minutes, but we don't really know when in the episode Negan is set to arrive. That begs a very grave and unsettling question.

What if we don't find out who dies until season seven?

Think about it. The Negan reveal has been teased for months. The cast has talked about how awful the finale was, and how they had such a hard time filming it. None of them have directly mentioned death, though. And even so, even if they do know who meets the business end of Negan's bat Lucille, it doesn't mean we'll find out right away. Imagine Negan has all of our favorites lined up in a row. There are seconds left in the finale. He raises his bat, and just as he brings it down for that first mighty blow, the screen cuts to black. We don't see who he hits. We don't even seen who he intends to hit.

We know, we know. We're already angry. We're already as angry as you're probably starting to feel right in this very moment. But think about it. The showrunners had us thinking Glenn had died for a good three or four weeks! They are not above messing with our hearts. And what would be more devastating than watching the brutal murder of one of the main characters? Having to wait until October and then watching that brutal murder.

Don't get us wrong, we're really, really hoping this doesn't happen. We're hoping no one has to experience such exasperation and devastation at the hands of a show that continually leaves us feeling emotionally drained. But, well, we're trying to prepare for the worst. One way or another, we're getting our answer on April 3. Let's just cross our fingers that it really is just that: an answer.

What This Sweet Dad Is Doing For His Son Who Loves Makeup

Makeup is a form of artistic self-expression, and like art, there are no boundaries for who can participate, be it a girl or boy.

If you love something, do it.

At least that's the motto for one family. In a heartwarming blog post, "Real Dads Let Their Sons Do Their Makeup," one father opened up about his youngest son C.J.'s passion for makeup and even lets C.J. practice his skills on him.

"A couple of years ago, C.J. asked if I would allow him to do my makeup. Of course I said yes," wrote the dad. "Why wouldn't I? Why wouldn't I want to be a part of something that brings joy to my son's life?"

The rock-star father even shared photos from their playtime when C.J. had all his eye shadows and lipsticks out, ready to give his father a glamorous makeover. Apparently, C.J. knows exactly what shadows will bring out his dad's baby-blue eyes. Though the dad admits he personally has no interest in beauty or fashion, if that's what his son loves, he will participate because it's about respecting his child's interests. And instead of discouraging C.J.'s feminine side, the whole family has chosen to embrace it, with the mom even writing a book on raising a non-gender-conforming child.

"My son doing my makeup is the same as a dad throwing a football with his son. It's not about what you are doing together; it's about doing it together," he said. "It's about encouraging your children to engage with you. It's about spending time with your child doing something they enjoy doing."

The dad acknowledged that one day C.J. may have a career as a makeup artist . . . or, as we're hoping, his very own beauty vlog.

Trying To Keep Your Toddler From Falling Asleep In The Car

This is me trying to keep my toddler from falling asleep in the car.

Posted by Bunmi Laditan on Monday, March 21, 2016

Every mother knows that nap time is the best time because it's "me time" for mama. But when sleepiness strikes on a 10-minute car ride from the grocery store or nursery school pickup, and you just know that your kid isn't going to sleep through being carried in the house to their bed, car-bound nap time becomes a mom's worst enemy. In that situation, you'll do just about anything to keep them awake in their car seat, which usually - like this hilarious video showcases - makes you sound like an absolute lunatic.

Own it, embrace it, and know that we have all been there. Watch the video for a laugh and to mentally prep yourself for when this happens again to you (later today, probably).

Leonardo DiCaprio Reacts to "Boo Boo" Jennifer Lopez's Hilarious Carpool Karaoke Prank

During Jennifer Lopez's appearance on James Corden's much-loved Carpool Karaoke segment on Tuesday night, James stole the "Booty" singer's phone and ended up sending a text to Leonardo DiCaprio. After asking Leo if he knew of any places where J Lo could "cut loose" that evening, the Oscar winner had an unintentionally hilarious response. "You mean tonight, boo boo? Club wise?" Well, ladies and gents, we finally know how he reacted to the prank.

"I did have to explain it [was James Corden's prank] to him," Jennifer said during an interview with reporters after American Idol's Thursday night episode. "He was a great sport about it . . . he's great. He's a friend and it was nice. He was totally like, 'Do whatever you want, I don't care.'" The singer did admit, however, that she explained the mix-up before the prank aired and isn't sure how he feels about it now. "I don't know if he'd say that today!"

Kaley Cuoco Is Not Just Horsing Around - There's a New Man in Her Life

On Thursday, Kaley Cuoco more or less confirmed what we've already begun to suspect: there's a new man in her life! The Big Bang Theory actress posted a new throwback Thursday snap with her rumored beau, who is an equestrian named Karl Cook. (Side note: how cute is it that they share the same initials?) Kaley divorced from Ryan Sweeting, her husband of 21 months, in September 2015. Since then, she's moved on by buying herself a horse, making sizzling red carpet appearances, and shutting it down on Lip Sync Battle. Keep reading to see the pictures of Kaley's rumored new boyfriend, then check out her impressive Hollywood evolution.

This Red Carpet Was Not Ready For the Combined Perfection of Kerry Washington, Gabrielle Union, and Zendaya

Kerry Washington's HBO film Confirmation, which is about Anita Hill's journey for justice against the Supreme Court nominee who sexually harassed her, has been getting plenty of buzz, and its LA premiere brought out some of Hollywood's brightest stars on Thursday. After Kerry shared a few laughs with pregnant costar Erika Christensen on the red carpet, she linked up with Gabrielle Union and Zendaya, who - with their combined levels of sheer physical perfection - shut it down.

The positively ageless Gabrielle posed for photographers in a ridiculously sexy, off-the-shoulder black gown, Zendaya flashed a bright smile in her colorful two-piece set, and Kerry finished things off with her dramatic floral number. Keep reading to see their gorgeous appearances together, then check out what Kerry had to say about her personal life at SXSW!

Tom Hiddleston Did the Weather, and It's Not Even an April Fools' Joke

Tom Hiddleston could turn up at Starbucks to make your latte on a Tuesday and make it seem totally normal. The actor is currently promoting his new film, I Saw the Light, which is probably how he ended up at a local Chicago news station. What's less clear, however, is how they convinced him to give an actual weather report. "The god of thunder has brought his skill set to bear on the local weather," he said while explaining the rain. "There's a huge storm front coming in, and all that means is Chris Hemsworth has taken his hammer and smashed it on the surface of the sky and it's going to rain a hell of a lot. So good luck with that." What we wouldn't pay to make this his regular gig. Check it out above, and then find out why Tom's butt has its own hashtag.

This Insane Watermelon Skinning Trick Will Make Your Jaw Drop

We all know how to cut watermelon into cubes and slices, but how many times have your guests really been impressed with those shapes? One former NASA engineer, Mark Rober, figured out the coolest party trick that presents the fruit in a way you'd never imagine.

Rober takes two watermelons close in size - the first he skins completely by removing outer slices with a knife, then smooths its surface out with a dish scrub. The second watermelon is cut into two equal halves and then gutted entirely. Place the skinned watermelon into the empty vessel, and you've got yourself a twist-apart melon.

Netflix Comedy The Ranch Is Your '70s Show Reunion Dream Come True

The Ranch is now available to stream! The new series, one of Netflix's many new shows this year, should have already piqued your interest because of its two stars: Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson, who last starred together on beloved Fox sitcom That '70s Show. It's about a family that is trying to make ends meet on their ranch in middle America, and Kutcher and Masterson are playing brothers. While it may seem that the throwback to That '70s Show would simply end with the casting, you'd be wrong - pleasing fans everywhere, the actors revealed that their characters are reaching back to Hyde and Kelso while talking at Netflix's Winter TCA day.

Masterson said that, after eight years of doing the show together and then subsequently working on other projects, he and Kutcher had always talked about working together again. "Our fave stuff on '70s Show was the Hyde/Kelso relationship of domination and abuse," so the plan for the brothers on The Ranch was "let's find adult versions of those guys [but] a little more realistic."

Kutcher said that Masterson is "one of my best friends in the world" since working together on their Fox sitcom and added that, since they're acting as family members, "in a lot of families, brothers are best friends." Kutcher said that he and Masterson "get to play a lot of our personal dynamic in the show, which is so much fun. . . . When we sit down and shoot scenes together, it just feels like we're just shooting the sh*t."
