Kate Middleton and Prince William Stop and Smell the Roses at the Chelsea Flower Show

Kate Middleton is on a roll! Just days after her sailing lesson in London, the Duchess attended the Chelsea Flower Show in England with Prince William, brother-in-law Prince Harry, and Queen Elizabeth II on Monday. It was the first time that William and Kate - who was clad in a bright kelly-green coat dress from Catherine Walker - had visited the event, which has been running since 1913. However, Harry has been involved in previous years, as his Sentebale charity often designs a garden. Next month, the family is scheduled to attend the Trooping the Colour parade, where Prince George made his debut last year.

You Won't Believe the Sexist Prizes Girl Scouts Get to "Win"

It's the Girl Scout mission to build courage, confidence, and character, so when it comes time to reward these young girls for their service, what better way than with "nail wraps," a jewelry box, or a spatula?

Those are just a selection of the sexist prizes Girl Scout troops in Colorado were able to choose from in a survey of 2017 cookie reward options. Of the 20 products listed, the only ones related in any way to physical activity were a kickball and a water bottle.

"We are Scouts - why can't the incentives for participation have at least a balance of camping, outdoors or activity-themed prizes," Jennifer Rotar asked in a petition on Change.org. "Why must girls be offered a majority of items that emphasize traditional feminine appearance, fashion, cooking . . .? Please stop pigeonholing girls into traditional roles and give them choices that reflect their wide range of interests that have nothing to do with gender."

Instead of stuffed animals and bracelets, Rotar suggests binoculars, pocket knives, star charts, Legos, compasses, or card games.

The petition - which will be delivered to the CEO of the Girl Scouts organization, Anna Maria Chavez - has already received more than 2,500 signatures toward its goal of 5,000 since it was posted last week.

The comments from supporters, ranging from Girl Scout juniors and cadettes to organization volunteers and concerned parents, proved that the prize structure has been a longtime issue and that a need for more scout-oriented incentives was overdue:

Tired of "made in China" landfill-destined prizes. Let's practice what we preach here and make the prizes more experience based . . . admissions to local museums and such.

How about First Aid kits, travel kits, sewing kits, STEM kits, chemistry sets, a nice flashlight, a mess kit and I go on and on. My daughter sells a ton of cookies and this year one of her incentives was a FitBit. Please explain to me why a 9 year old needs a Fitbit? Are we creating body issues?

I don't want to have to choose between earrings or a coffee mug for a 5-year-old who loves science, art, and the outdoors. We need more and better options. Yes, they love stuffed animals and girly stuff, but those shouldn't be the ONLY choices.

Girl Scouts need their own brand of affordable camping essentials, and offering it would be awesome! Even bug jars or ant farms or worm boxes. The opportunities are endless for fun – educational, scientific, physical, Girl Scout fun!

What do you think of the prizes currently being offered to girls?

Adele's New Video Is Great, But Let's Talk About That Dress

Yes, Adele's new video for "Send My Love (to Your New Lover)" is amazing. The song is great, and Adele is striking - and then, of course, there's that dress.

The centerpiece of the stripped-down video is Adele's stunning long-sleeved maxi, which was designed by Dolce & Gabbana. The Dolce & Gabbana Evening Pussy-Bow Sequined Printed Silk-Chiffon Gown ($7,995), from the designers' Spring 2016 collection, is a true centerpiece of the video. Throughout the stark piece, the colors of the floral print stand out, as do the embroidered embellishments along the bodice. Toward the end of the video, Adele dances and sways with the dress's voluminous, gorgeous skirt.

Adele worked with the stylist Gaelle Paul, who told Billboard this is actually the first time the singer has worn the label. Gaelle spoke about how she, Adele, and the video's director, Patrick Daughters, decided on the D&G look. "It was really about what [Patrick] needed from the dress," Gaelle said. "It was quite dark, the background, and we needed something that would show up against that."

Miranda Kerr Just Pulled a Very Kate Middleton Style Move

Kate Middleton's done it, Michelle Obama's done it, and now Miranda Kerr's on board with repeating a full, superchic ensemble - and boy, did she choose a good one to rewear. On Tuesday, the model stepped out in a denim-on-denim outfit, which included a 7 For All Mankind top, that was pretty similar to one she wore back in 2014. And just like the first time we saw it, we swooned, taking note of how well she pulled off this tricky-to-style look.

While Miranda added a duster coat this time around, giving her outfit a 2016 twist, she still rocked simple heeled sandals and carried a black bag, proving that if something ain't broke, definitely don't fix it. See her looks back-to-back ahead, then discover more ways to pull off denim on denim.

This Teen Silenced Her Teacher by Wearing a Stunning African Print Dress to Prom

When Makalaya Zanders wanted to wear an African printed dress to her high school prom, a teacher made the hurtful comment that it "wasn't really something you wear to prom."

Instead of listening to the negative remark, the 18-year-old showed up to Garfield Heights High School's prom in a gorgeous royal-blue Ankara print strapless gown. The mermaid style, created by designer DeAndre Crenshaw, hugged Makalaya in all the right places, and she accessorized the look with a dramatic gold belt and choker.

"My dress was to make a point. That African style is beautiful. That I am comfortable with my Melanin and roots," she wrote on Instagram, though her account as since been made private. "There's nothing like Black girl Magic."

Makalaya added that her inspiration for the dress came from an Ankara gown Nigerian model Jessica Chibueze had worn to a gala. Upon hearing her story, Jessica even gave a shout-out to the high school senior on social media for embracing the African style.

"I was told when I was younger that I was too dark, too this, too that," Makalaya said to ABC News. "I didn't grow up with black Barbies besides Brandy. As a young girl, I thought I didn't fit that standard, traditional definition of beautiful."

After the dress went viral, the teacher has since apologized to Makalaya. Her beautiful gown proved that everyone has the right to embrace their own cultural style. Keep reading to see the stunning Ankara print silhouette from all angles.

I Got a Sexy Designer Dress Tailored and Delivered For My Birthday - For Just $300

I was in the mood to do something crazy for my 24th birthday. It's not a particularly special age; I just wanted to throw myself a party - and I wanted a special dress to go with it. Being from New Jersey, I hilariously ended up in Atlantic City with all of my friends. (I like a good round of blackjack. Sue me.)

While I could have easily taken a quick shopping trip to the mall, I had recently stumbled upon a new app called Armarium. It's a quick and easy runway rental service and I had to try it. Based in New York, Armarium invites its clients to a showroom filled with a very select handful of dresses.

While you might be picturing flouncy pastel maxis fit for a wedding, the Armarium customer is more of a risk-taker. Unlike Rent the Runway - a site that offers similar services but more modest, playful brands like Monique Lhuillier and Kate Spade - Armarium's labels are cutting-edge. They're a bit more high-end and ultimately veer on the sexy side. The Armarium girl is going for a daring designer look. She might even want to flash some skin. She's going out, or in my case, straight to the casino after a fancy dinner.

I immediately booked an appointment with the team after scrolling through Armarium's available products. I had already eyed so many options for the upcoming weekend, and I wanted to try them on. Luckily, I got to preselect styles that were hanging in a dressing room for me upon arrival. But first, I talked fashion with the company leaders.

Armarium is brand new (its official launch date was in April 2016). Right now, the small team of stylists, called the Style Brigade, helps women walk through some of the most coveted and well-known designer pieces, most of which debuted on the runway just a couple of seasons ago.

These women, all well-versed in fashion, cater to the event you plan to attend, helping to accessorize your outfit with a clutch or jewels. And, if the dress you love needs to be tailored, your measurements are recorded in the showroom and your design is temporarily tweaked by the seamstress, free of charge, before being sent to you for wear. (I took advantage of this service, which we'll get to later.)

You hang onto your standout look for four nights before it's due back via messenger service. But remember: you're getting to wear a truly unique ensemble for a fraction of the retail price. I'll spoil the end of the story right now and let you know that it's worth it.

Read on for a full look at my Armarium experience - it's filled with high-slit, cutout dresses so sexy, I was afraid to walk when I tried them on. And of course, the romantic tale about how I arrived at my perfect match: a Fall 2015 Anthony Vaccarello number that made me feel like I'd just won a million bucks on my fabulous birthday at the Jersey shore.

You had every intention of getting up and getting out on time, but the clock seems to be ticking kinda quickly and - gah! - you're still not dressed. Not to fret. There's a lesson to be learned from Queen Letizia of Spain, who stepped out at a journalism seminar in La Rioja wearing an easy, breezy outfit that'll take mere seconds to style yourself. Pairing loose cropped leather pants, a black top, a statement jacket, and lace-up heels, the royal appeared polished and pulled together and well-dressed for a chilly Spring or Summer day.

As long as you have these items in your own wardrobe, you, too, can get ready in a flash, look chic, and kiss those late days goodbye. Scroll through to see Letizia's ensemble in full, then shop the pieces you need to nail it.

25+ Tostada Recipes That'll Leave You Licking Your Fingers

Tostadas really bring together the best of Mexican food. The crunchy tortilla base is small and easy to handle with your hands, which reminds us of delicious and snackable tacos. What we're saying is, tostadas are the perfect balance and there's no reason you shouldn't love them and eat them as much as possible.

You can enjoy pulled pork, tinga chicken, shrimp ceviche, chorizo, refried black beans, even veggie-only options if you look ahead for more than 25 scrumptious recipes. Once you've picked your menu for the night, find a tequila cocktail to pair it with.

Easy Braided Crown Tutorial You Can Do With Your Short Hair

The following post was originally featured on Birdie Shoots and written by Kelly Torrez, who is part of POPSUGAR Select Latina.

Talk about a productive weekend, between birthday parties and family dinners, I was able to sneak in some serious QT with the blog. Lately, I feel as though I haven't been showing the beauty and hair section of my blog enough love. Through both pin-spiration and a few Instagram screen-saves, I've been loving braided half-up styles. I love how this carefree style has an edge, while also being practical for hot Summer days.

The style itself is pretty basic, aside from knowing how to create a dutch or french braid, and this will work with either technique. For this tutorial, I'm focusing on a dutch braid, as I like the volume and texture that it gives to the crown.

  1. Start with dry hair, and part hair down the center.
  2. Using your index fingers, part your hair at the crown, separating the top section from the bottom. Keep hair tied back with an elastic.
  3. Make sure sections to the left and right of the center part are relatively even and both have a similar amount of hair.
  4. Clip one section of hair down and focus on dutch braiding toward the back of the head, in a horizontal fashion (i.e., not framing the face). Once you reach the top of the back your head, secure with a clear elastic or bobby pin.
  5. Repeat step four, again securing once you reach the end.

The Evolution of Queen Letizia and King Felipe's Love

For the past 13 years - since they announced their engagement in 2003 - Queen Letizia and King Felipe VI of Spain have shared with us more than a few sweet moments. Their glamorous wedding in 2004 was a true fairy-tale event; the birth of their two daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, a cause for major celebration; and their everyday official appearances and trips, always total treats where they look smiley and just absolutely happy.

From the way Felipe helps Letizia down the steps every time she's in heels to the mischievous looks and whispers they share at public hearings, it's pretty obvious that the affection between these two lovebirds only gets stronger as time goes by. They truly are one supercute couple - see what we mean by scrolling through their most adorable moments here.

The CDC Finds That Public Swimming Pools Are Way Filthier Than We Think

While public swimming pools haven't always been regarded as shining beacons of immaculate sanitation, a recent study from the Center For Disease Control and Prevention finds that they may be worse off than we thought.

The CDC recently published a report that looked at public swimming facilities in Arizona, California, Florida, New York, and Texas in an attempt to assess pool-related disease outbreaks and other injuries. The findings were pretty dismal: about 80 percent of the pools they looked at violated proper inspection requirements, and some of them were so egregious they were forced to immediately close until further notice.

Some of the violations included faulty fences and gates to prevent younger children from falling in deeper pools, however, some of the more alarming violations included improper pH and disinfectant levels that are meant to stop the spread of diseases relating to fecal matter and parasites. This proved to be a particular problem in smaller children's pools that didn't have the correct levels to maintain sanitation, especially considering that little ones don't always have their bathroom skills down.

We're hoping that this semi-alarming report will call for some drastic improvements so that everyone can continue enjoying this summertime activity and fitness staple.

The Best F*cking Guided Meditation You've Ever Heard

For those constantly looking for the antidote for life's daily stresses and worries, meditation can have an enormous impact on the way you view the world - and it's not just hippie bullsh*t. Study after study has shown a correlation between meditation and reduction of gray matter in the amygdala, the region connected to anxiety and emotional regulation. It's been proven to lengthen your attention span, lessen stress levels, and decrease insomnia by 42 percent. And with just two months of a consistent practice, meditation literally changes your brain chemistry, making you more resilient when difficult situations arise.

With all that said, it can be really f*cking hard to sit still for 10 minutes, and that's where this hilarious and surprisingly calming meditation video from Jason Headley comes in handy. If guided meditations have been too strange, far-out, or boring for you in the past, prepare to breathe in the good sh*t and exhale the bad sh*t with this hysterical NSFW-language-filled video.

Gordon Ramsay's Transformative Way to Scramble Eggs

Yes, there are a million different scrambled eggs techniques out there, but Gordon Ramsay's will be your full-stop method. While at a press event to promote his new game with Glu Mobile, I asked chef Ramsay to go through the proper way to scramble eggs. His unique method has a heartwarming tale:

"After training in London, I wanted to become French, so I went to the birthplace of all cuisine. I remember seeing this amazing dish with scrambled eggs and sea urchin. I tasted the sea urchin through the scrambled eggs . . . and they topped it with caviar. I thought it was wild. I had never put sea urchin in scrambled eggs. The texture was just incredible. It made it so much creamier. What was more accessible to the average person at home making scrambled eggs - I knew that was crème fraiche. I perfected that craft in France making scrambled eggs to order, standing in Guy Savoy's restaurant behind the line as a 22-year-old."

But crème fraiche isn't the only thing that makes these scrambled eggs different from the rest. It's cooked in a pot! The eggs aren't seasoned from the start! Most of the cooking is done off the flame! Are you baffled yet? Me too, which is why I had to try the method out for myself. So where to begin? Start by watching Gordon's YouTube video. He shared a hilarious story about it:

I think there's about 15 million people online who have [watched] that scrambled eggs video. And it transforms the way you eat eggs. Incredible. It's a kind of rich, sumptuous way to eat scrambled eggs even for dinner, even with all the steps. It's just delicious on sourdough bread. My video, with 15 million downloads on YouTube, I burn the f*cking toast. I'm not so far down my backside. I make mistakes. I just start again. It's funny. I'm so into my scrambled eggs, focusing away. Fire alarm is going off and I burn my toast."

Like Gordon, my first attempt didn't go off hitch-free. I'm unfortunately going to need a few more practices to end up with perfectly custardy, voluminous eggs like Gordon, but what I did make was truly exceptional and unlike any scrambled eggs I've ever had before. I can't wait to keep on practicing, and neither will you once you've memorized the steps.

Keep Bread Fresh (Practically) Forever With This Trick

Few things are sadder than tossing out a stale half-loaf of beautiful artisanal (or homemade) bread. The problem: said beautiful bread lacks the stabilizers present in commercial presliced loaves, and so it goes from rocking your world to rock-hard ridiculously fast. The solution: eat more bread a simple trick involving your freezer.

Here's what you should do:

  1. Within 24 hours (maximum) of cutting into a loaf, slice up the remaining bread. (Don't wait until it's already turned the corner; at that point, your best bet is giving leftovers a second life as croutons, breadcrumbs, or bread pudding.) Don't just stick the bread in the freezer unsliced. Unless your kitchen is equipped with a buzz saw, there's no chance you're going to be able to slice it without thawing the entire loaf first (trust us, we've tried).
  2. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment or wax paper, arrange the slices in one layer on top of that, and put it in the freezer, uncovered, until frozen solid. (The parchment will prevent the gorgeous, moist crumb of the bread from sticking to the pan, and the single layer will prevent the slices from freezing stuck to each other.)
  3. Once the bread slices are frozen, transfer them to a resealable freezer bag, removing as much air from the bag as possible.
  4. When a bread craving hits, take out just as many slices of bread as you'll eat then, and either let them thaw at room temperature, or put them directly in the toaster (they'll take about one extra minute to toast). The texture of the bread will be about 95 percent as good as fresh bread and far better than second-day, already-starting-to-go-stale bread. Stored frozen (in a resealable freezer bag), sliced bread will stay fresh and delicious for at least six months, if not longer.

This Is How All Your Favorite Chefs Cook Steak

Steak is one of those things that intimidates a lot of people but really shouldn't. If you've ever struggled with cooking the perfect steak, this list of tips should help. We've turned to some of our favorite Food Network personalities and more celebrity chefs for their steakhouse-worthy cooking methods.

Alton Brown: Pan-Seared and Oven-Baked

For pan-seared rib eyes, Alton Brown recommends two key things: bring the steak to room temperature (it cooks quicker this way), and heat a cast-iron skillet in the oven while the oven heats to 500 degrees. He doesn't use the oven until the steaks have been seared first, but heating up the skillet before putting it on the stove helps get the process started and ensure a completely heated-through pan.

Giada De Laurentiis: Add Italian Flavors

Giada's Tuscan rib-eye steak recipe proves everything is better with Italian flair. If you're into rosemary, thyme, garlic, and lemon (who isn't?), this is the best way to cook your steak.

Ree Drummond: Butter-Rubbed Grill Pan

The Pioneer Woman's first blog post to go viral was titled "How to Cook a Steak," and it's easy to see why. Her "never-fail arsenal" is just three ingredients: "Lawry's Seasoned Salt, McCormick Lemon Pepper, and a nice stick of regular (salted) butter." Ree advises coating a hot grill pan in butter before searing the steaks. In the post, she promises, "If you cook it for your friends, they'll never invite you over to their house for dinner again. Gordon Ramsay: Baste With Butter

It's no surprise that Gordon Ramsay's tip for steak is the same as his tip for burgers: baste with butter. Besides the fact that fat makes everything taste better, Gordon explains that coating steak with melted butter "gives it a nice nutty brown finish."

Ina Garten: Steakhouse-Style Filet Mignon

Leave it to The Barefoot Contessa to school us in making a restaurant-worthy dish at home. If you're feeling fancy and opt for filet mignon, you'll want to use a generous coating of fleur de sel and coarsely cracked black peppercorns to achieve a perfect crust. If you follow her recipe to a T, you'll be the one saying, "How easy is that?"

Chrissy Teigen: Soak in a Garlicky Marinade

Chrissy Teigen admits in her cookbook, Cravings, that she's normally a traditionalist when it comes to steak (page 206), but her husband John Legend's "best marinade in existence" changed her mind. A lot goes into it - soy sauce and garlic, for starters - and after marinating for eight hours, you're on your way to juicy, flavor-packed steak. "I would probably still go simple if I was staring at the most beautiful piece of beef I've ever seen, but use this tangy marinade on a nice, solid rib eye, and I promise you, it will be hard for you to have it any other way," she wrote.

Tom Colicchio: Grill on Each Side

Top Chef's Tom Colicchio recommends turning the steak a total of six times while it's on the grill (grill it for three to four minutes on each side, including the edges). He also recognizes that quality is more important than quantity when it comes to steak. In an interview with POPSUGAR, he said, "start with buying the perfect steak - you can't buy a lousy piece of meat and make it great."

Bobby Flay: Perfectly Grilled

Bobby Flay, master of the grill, doesn't bother with anything complicated for his perfectly grilled steak recipe. All you need is steak, oil, and salt and pepper - and Bobby always recommends oiling the meat itself, not the grill or pan.

The Only "Bikini-Body" Advice You Need

Before you rock your bikini and expose more skin than usual, it's natural to feel a little nervous. If you can relate to this sentiment, then forget what everyone else will be thinking and start focusing on how you want to be feeling. Looking good in a bikini doesn't necessarily mean having a rock-hard body - it's all about your confidence! If you're tired of being in a cover-up all Summer long, then take these tips to heart the next time you slip your suit on.

Your Suit

While almost no one loves to go swimsuit shopping, it doesn't have to be such a painful process. Bring a close confidant or trusted friend along for advice, and take a few moments to touch up your hair, shave your legs, and add a little self-tanner. If you feel comfortable in your appearance from the start of this shopping trip, then it will be easier to keep up your confidence once the street clothes come off. Once you're in the store, grab a variety of suits in tons of sizes and styles to find the best bathing suit for your body. This will not be a quick in-and-out trip; you're going to need to spend a decent amount of time trying things on to find out what feels best.

Your Diet

A strict, unwavering diet is not sustainable for continued success. Even nutritionist Heidi Skolnik says there's "nothing pretty [about] looking four pounds thinner because [you] starved yourself the week before." Instead of keeping a rigid list of foods you can't have before you sport a bikini, focus on what you can (and should) enjoy all the time: clean, unprocessed whole foods. If you're one day out from the beach and in a bind, then try our one-day debloating meal plan full of fresh, satisfying recipes. You can't make a huge change overnight, but choosing foods that serve your body will help you feel lighter the next day.

Your Posture

Good posture is not only essential for your spine's health, but it can also help you look 10 pounds thinner. If you know you tend to slouch, then visualize your new posture not like the letter "C" but more like the letter "S." Untuck your pelvis, engage your abs, and drop your shoulders back and away from your ears. This physical shift in your stance is a great tip not only for wearing a bikini but also for looking and feeling more confident wherever you are!

Your Attitude

If you're committed to seeing big changes in your body, then start an exercise regimen at least six weeks out. But when you're not trying to take off extra pounds, that's cool, too! Bikini season is full of certain stresses, but remember that it's also a blast. So many months out of the year we're bundled up indoors, doing our best to stay warm. Summer is all about sunshine, warm weather, and taking time to relax. With so much pressure to look perfect in a bikini, the best thing you can do is take a step back and chill. Recognize that while outside sources are sending specific messages, you are the only person who can change the way you feel about your body.

Why an Active Chill Day Feels Better Than Couch Time

Take a well-deserved rest day. After all, a day off allows your muscles to recover, rebuild, and become stronger. But chill days in the 21-Day Summer Shape-Up Challenge aren't just for lounging on the couch. To speed your recovery and get your blood flowing to help feed your weary muscles, take yourself for a 20-minute stroll, bike ride, jog, or swim, and then show your muscles some TLC with massage and stretching. Here's our simple prescription for making the most of your rest day.

Roll It Out

A weekly massage would be great for your body but not so great for your wallet. Instead, invest in a foam roller for some DIY muscle relief. Roll out knotted muscles and prime tight spots before stretching. Here are three resources to kick off your massage session.

Stretch It Out

After walking and rolling, lengthen tight muscles with some stretching. Pick one or two stretches for each body part, and hold your stretches for 30 seconds each.

Enjoy your chill day!

Pastel Hair: 5 Ways to Choose a Soft Color For Summer

Since rainbow hair first started trending in the past few years, we've fallen hard for all ways of wearing this style: colorful roots, secret underlights, and, now, pastels.

Just as one could lighten their brunette, blond, or red locks for Summer, it's possible to take a bold rainbow hue and turn it into a soft pastel. It's a subtle variation on the trend - but one that will still result in Instagram-worthy color. While the old DIY lemon juice hack works to add natural highlights, the complexities of achieving a pastel shade tend to require a professional stylist - read on for inspiration you can take to your next appointment.

You'll Never Again Go a Day Without Sunscreen After Watching This

If you're still making excuses about sunscreen, maybe this video will change your mind. Artist Thomas Leveritt had women and men of all ages view their faces under an ultraviolet lens, and the results were shocking! An ultraviolet camera is like the truth serum of skin care: it shows both your future and your past. Too much time unprotected in the sun or in the tanning bed reveals freckles, age spots, and sun damage. These spots aren't visible to the naked eye but can appear over time. On the other hand, children (or vigilant sunscreen wearers) appear flawless.

Dermatologists have told us time and time again that SPF is the greatest defense against aging. Under an ultraviolet camera, it shows up as a black barrier against UVA and UVB rays. So, the big takeaway? Put on a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher every day, not just on beach vacations or during sunny Summer Saturdays. You'll be glad you did when those brown spots never rise to the surface. In the meantime, see your dermatologist to get any moles checked for melanoma.

About eight years ago, I was clueless about all the unwritten rules (like no more shampoo, brushes, or towels.) And the commandments vary by hair type, too. A woman with waves can't live by the same hacks that I rely on day to day for my Afro-texture hair.

That's why we've called in the curly hair experts from Devachan Salon in NYC to create a beginner's bible to curls. Stylist Eladia Lebron gave three curly editors a makeover, while divulging her best tips for every hair type. This comprehensive guide explains everything from applying conditioner to pineappling (which is an overnight curly girl trick). Get ready to achieve the best hair of your life - no hot tools required.

Confession: I'm a Woman and I Shave My Face

Source: Corbis Images

I can't believe I'm putting this out on the Internet. And at the risk of never getting a date ever again in this lifetime, here it goes: I shave my face. (Never thought Caroline Manzo and I would have something in common, but alas!)

To kick things off, no, I don't stand in front of the mirror with some Barbasol and a Mach3 and get to work. (I know some of you are envisioning a pile of shaving cream on my face.) In fact, no shaving cream is used at all. Let me explain . . .

I grew up with blond lip hair. (I guess you could call it a mustache, but I try to avoid it at all costs.) I was horrified about it. As a teen, I didn't deal with terrible acne (that came later in life - yay hormones!) but instead was bestowed with a patch of blond hair on my upper lip. Sure, all gals have a little bit of fuzz on their upper lips. No big deal. But it wasn't peach fuzz - it was very noticeable. And I was ready to do whatever it took to get rid of my furry friend staring me in the face every morning.

I tried every removal process in the book, starting with Nair. I ended up burning my skin, which put my upper lip even more in the spotlight. After banning the pink cream, I tried threading and waxing, only to have my skin break out in pustules. This deterred me from wanting to remove facial hair, so I went ahead and opted to bleach the sucker. Considering it was blond, that didn't help. At 18, I opted for laser hair removal. It worked okay, but then I went off to college and didn't finish my sessions, so the hair grew back.

But one day in 2011, at the ripe age of 23, I'm perusing YouTube and see a video from Bachelor in Paradise's Michelle Money. She's a cosmetologist and posted a video about shaving her face. Have you seen this woman? She's stunning. I can't imagine she deals with any type of beauty crisis, but she and her friends explained why shaving their faces was not only fun, but also necessary, and then they showed a tutorial. Seeing their fuzz scrape right off their faces led me into an online rabbit hole.

I have to say that I disagree with the girls on one thing: if you have facial hair and it doesn't bother you, get on with your bad self. Removing facial hair isn't mandatory. For me, it was something I wanted but didn't think was possible. Was shaving my face an option? Would it grow back black? Am I about to secure the role as a bearded woman on American Horror Story? (Time travel?)

Scouring the Internet, I found that Kate Somerville was a proponent of facial shaving. You mean to tell me that the queen of clear, youthful skin is down with shaving shenanigans? She told Style.com that Elizabeth Taylor's cosmetic dermatologist disclosed that Elizabeth shaved her face, as did Marilyn Monroe and Cleopatra. It makes your makeup go on smoother, gives you a glow, and because it's a razor, you're physically exfoliating your skin - great for antiaging! Why do you think men look so youthful as they age? They shave a majority of their lives!

Here's the thing: Facial shaving for women isn't news. In fact, dermaplaning is the fancier option that spas offer to help take off a layer of dead skin. In addition to removing those baby hairs, it also helps products absorb into your skin better. It gives you a gorgeous glow and in turn, your fuzz is gone.

Michelle suggested buying a razor called The Tinkle. You have to order them online (and that name is rather embarrassing), so I ventured to Sally Beauty Supply, bought a pack of Touch N Brow razors, and went for it. I shaved my jawline, upper lip, under my chin, and my forehead. I even cleaned up the hair by my ears. And you know what? IT WAS AWESOME. I couldn't stop touching my face. (I wouldn't suggest touching your face all the time, but in this case, it was unavoidable.) I get so many compliments on my skin that when I reveal this secret, people go from pure shock to running to the store and buying their own razors.

So . . . questions. I know you have them. I'll try to cover everything I usually get asked:

1. Does it hurt?
Nope. Not a bit. Just make sure you get the right razor and hold it correctly. (More on that later.)

2. But doesn't it grow back thicker and darker?
No. Come on now, we know this is a fallacy regarding our legs - same for your face. It doesn't grow back black or stubbly! It actually comes back blond and soft. The hair on my face was never black or stubbly, thus it will not grow back that way.

3. How often do you have to do this?
I shave once or twice a week, and I don't mind - it's a part of my antiaging regimen now.

4. What products do I need?
You need one tool: a razor. I use a single-edge, single-blade razor that has a slope to the head of the razor. The Tinkle (such an unfortunate name) and the Touch N Brow ($5) are great options. If the razor is shaped straight up and down with no curve to the razor head, you risk cutting yourself. Also, some of the facial/eyebrow razors I've come across have sharp, blunt edges - so again, look for razors that are curved.

5. What about a leg razor?
Honey - no. Don't use your leg razor. Put down the Venus! I haven't tried it, and I can guarantee you won't want to dabble into it, either.

6. So . . . no other products?
Do this on dry skin. No need to wet your skin or use lotion.

7. What's the technique here?
Pull the skin taut, then start shaving downward on your skin in short strokes. You can't just drag the razor against your skin - it wouldn't do anything. Also, hold the razor at a 45-degree angle against the skin. Don't freak when it looks like you skinned a lamb. You have more hair on your face than you think!

8. Any postshaving tips?
Moisturize afterwards. Shaving means taking a layer of dead skin off your face. It's exfoliating! Moisturize afterwards so your skin doesn't get too dry.

I can't stress this enough: only do this if you're comfortable. It's like waxing or any other form of hair removal. You'll need to maintain it! If you're under the age of 18, talk to your parent before. These face razors aren't incredibly sharp, but you'll want to be safe.

So, take it from me, Caroline Manzo, and Kate Somerville: facial shaving is the new(ish) chemical peel.

The Scary Statistic That Proves Your Sunscreen Is Useless

We have bad news, and we have worse news. A recent report by the CDC found that the diagnosis of melanoma has doubled between 1982 and 2011. By 2030, the cost of treating skin cancer patients will reach an astounding $1.9 billion. We're wondering: how did this happened? Today, we are so much smarter than our mothers, who baked in olive oil while laying in the sun. The beauty industry has made amazing strides in sunscreen technology over the last three decades, and tanning beds have nearly become obsolete.

The problem may have something to do with sunscreen. A separate report by the Environmental Working Agency discovered that the majority of the sun protection products on the market are inefficient. "[Eighty] percent of 1,700 products we examined this year offer inferior sun protection or contain worrisome ingredients like oxybenzone and vitamin A," the EWG wrote. The organization even put together a Hall of Shame list with the worst offenders. If you can't rely on your sunscreen to keep you safe, what can you do?

Stay protected from UV rays by covering your skin with hats and light clothing when possible. Make sure to wear sunglasses with protection, too. When choosing a sunscreen, look for a product with SPF between 15 and 50 (anything about 50 isn't really giving you more protection). It's important to reapply product every two hours. The new facial spray and powder formulas are ideal options when you don't want to mess up your makeup. These products will help create a barrier between you and the sun, and diligent sun-safety practices can make all the difference when it comes to decreasing the melanoma numbers.

Beyoncé's Latest Outing With Jay Z Will Make You Want to Grab a Glass of Lemonade (Seriously)

Beyoncé and Jay Z just keep the sweet outings coming. After putting their love on display for a romantic date night in NYC earlier this week, the pair were spotted leaving their midtown office as they headed to a graduation party for Jay Z's niece. While the rapper opted for a casual white tee and jeans, Bey made an obvious reference to her latest album, Lemonade, with her outfit by rocking a white top, a matching blazer, and, yes, bright yellow pants. She even had a small lemon sticker on her iPhone. Perhaps this is her way of responding to Jay Z's recent Lemonade lyrics?

The Photos From Prince Oscar's Christening Ceremony Are Almost Too Cute For Words

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden welcomed a baby boy, Prince Oscar, in March, and the adorable photos of him haven't stopped pouring in since. Now, there are a few more images to add to Oscar's growing photo album.

The tiny prince was christened at the Royal Palace in Stockholm on Friday surrounded by his entire family, including his parents and sister, his grandparents Queen Silvia and King Carl Gustaf, and his uncle and aunt Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia. Oscar looked beyond cute in his lacy, cream-colored outfit (which we're sure he'll commiserate over with Prince George and Princess Charlotte when he gets older), and Victoria and Estelle matched him in their own white dresses. Check out the cutest moments from his christening here!
