High School Grad Elle Fanning Links Up With Sister Dakota (and Ryan Gosling!) on a Big Night in LA
Elle Fanning had the support of her older sister, Dakota, at the premiere of her new film The Neon Demon in LA on Tuesday night. The 18-year-old walked the red carpet in a stunning, sequined Dolce & Gabbana gown and struck a series of poses with 22-year-old Dakota, who sported cool glitter roots. Later, at a special fan screening, Elle and director Nicolas Winding Refn were joined by none other than Ryan Gosling, who participated in a Q&A with the young actress; Ryan famously worked with Nicolas on Drive and Only God Forgives. In his latest horror thriller The Neon Demon, Elle stars as an aspiring LA model who finds herself in danger amongst the women she meets in the industry.

Prince William Urges Young People Struggling With Their Sexuality: "You Have Nothing to Be Ashamed Of"
Prince William rarely appears (willingly) on the cover of a magazine, but the Duke of Cambridge broke boundaries by advocating for the LGBTQ community on the cover of Attitude's June 8 issue. In May, he invited several members of the community to join him at Kensington Palace to learn about their experiences with bullying. In the cover story, Will spoke specifically about young adults who have faced difficult circumstances due to their sexuality:
"No one should be bullied for their sexuality or any other reason and no one should have to put up with the kind of hate that these young people have endured in their lives. The young gay, lesbian and transgender individuals I met through Attitude are truly brave to speak out and to give hope to people who are going through terrible bullying right now. Their sense of strength and optimism should give us all encouragement to stand up to bullying wherever we see it. What I would say to any young person reading this who's being bullied for their sexuality: don't put up with it – speak to a trusted adult, a friend, a teacher, Childline, Diana Award or some other service and get the help you need. You should be proud of the person you are and you have nothing to be ashamed of."
The issue went to press just days before last week's devastating shooting in Orlando, making Will's quotes story especially poignant. Will and wife Kate Middleton paid their respects to the victims and their families in a somber ceremony from London on Tuesday.

Oreo's Latest Releases Are 100 Percent Worth Trying
The latest from the Oreo flavor vault, Chocolate and Lemon Oreo Thins, didn't seem to exciting at first (especially since Oreo just released Fruity Crisp Oreos), but the taste test proved our preconceptions wrong.
Chocolate
Tasters could imagine these chocolate wafers as the ideal base for an icebox cake or ice cream pie crust. Those reviewing raved about the not-too-rich chocolaty icing and crispy, thin cookies. The ratio between the two is restrained, making them a lovely, less-gluttonous treat to enjoy.
Lemon
Even if you don't find yourself reaching for lemon-flavored desserts, these Oreo Thins may change your mind. However, our reviewers had mixed feelings about this flavor, either giving it a perfect five stars or measly two. One taster said she preferred the reduced amount of icing, because the regular lemon Oreos can be too overpowering. Some say the filling tastes like Pine Sol, while others liked the refreshing, light taste that is reminiscent of something your grandma would keep stocked in her pantry.
Chocolate and Lemon will join Original, Mint, and Golden as "permanent offerings to the Oreo Thins portfolio," according to a press release.
Starbucks's New Granitas Will Add a Refreshing Pop to Your Summer
Starting today, Starbucks will have three new frozen beverages on the menu, and they will add a refreshing twist to your Summer. These granitas are part of the coffee chain's new Sunset Menu that will be available in participating US and Canada stores after 3 p.m. Each drink starts with finely shaved ice and is topped with a variety of flavors.
The first is the Teavana Youthberry White Tea Granita, a lemonade-flavored shaved ice that is topped with a subtly fruity tea. It's really refreshing and is faintly sweet. The second is the Strawberry Lemon Limeade Granita, a lemonade base with limeade poured over and strawberries dotted in. The flavor is reminiscent of the slushies of my childhood. The third option is for loyal coffee-lovers: the Caramel Espresso Granita. This drink starts with sweetened shaved ice and is topped with espresso and cream and, of course, the caramel drizzle. This granita is perfect for those days when you want a frozen coffee but want something a bit lighter than a Frappuccino.
The new granitas and the Sunset Menu will only be available at Starbucks through the Summer, so get your fix now while you can. If these drinks aren't your kind of thing, we also recommend you take advantage of Nitro Cold Brew when it rolls out throughout the coming months.

Another Day, Another Startlingly Gorgeous Appearance From Kate Middleton
If you feel like you've been seeing a ton of the royal couple lately, it's because you have. Kate Middleton and Prince William have been out and about fulfilling their duties as duke and duchess at a handful of high-profile events this week, including continued celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II, who rang in her 90th birthday. On Tuesday, the couple arrived in style at the secretary of state's annual garden party at Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland. Kate's cream-colored Day Birger et Mikkelsen jacquard outfit is one that may look familiar, as she's worn it to three royal wedding ceremonies in the past. She and Will greeted fans and attendees and also spoke to a group of soldiers.
Before heading to Northern Ireland, Will and Kate made a visit to the US Embassy in London; they paid their respects to the victims of the Orlando, FL, nightclub shooting. The pair took turns signing a message in the book of condolence, writing, "With our deepest condolences and with our thoughts and prayers to all those affected."

The Most Important Details Surrounding Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's Divorce
In late May, news broke that Amber Heard had filed for divorce from Johnny Depp, whom she married in a lavish island ceremony in February 2015. Although the couple had seemed happy and the news came out of left field, Amber, 30, also filed a restraining order against the 52-year-old Alice Through the Looking Glass actor, which included allegations of domestic abuse. - Amber files for divorce from Johnny. Three days after Johnny's mother passed away, Amber filed for divorce on May 25 and cited irreconcilable differences in her petition. The couple has been married for 15 months, and has no prenuptial agreement.
- Johnny speaks out about the ordeal. A short statement given through his representative to Us Weekly on May 26 that said: "Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation, and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly."
- Amber is granted a restraining order from Johnny. The Magic Mike XXL actress filed a domestic violence restraining order accompanied by graphic photos of her bruised face on the morning of May 27. A source told People that the bruises aren't a rare occurrence, saying, "This was not an isolated event" and that "this was only the latest incident." Later that day, Amber was photographed coming out of court after a judge granted her request for temporary order.
- On the afternoon of May 27, Johnny was photographed fitting an elderly woman with a hearing aid during a visit to Lisbon, Portugal, with his band, The Hollywood Vampires. Later that evening, Johnny performed at the Rock in Rio festival and was pictured with his bandmates ahead of the show. While he has yet to release a statement about Amber's claims or the restraining order against him, a judge denied Amber's request for sole possession of their dog, Pistol, stating that there was "insufficient showing of need to protect pet dog."
- Vanessa Paradis and Lily-Rose Depp come to Johnny's defense. Upon hearing about Amber's domestic violence allegations against Johnny, both the actor's ex-partner and daughter penned notes in his support. On May 27, Vanessa wrote, "I believe with all my heart that these recent allegations being made are outrageous," claiming, "In all the years I have known Johnny, he has never been physically abusive with me and this looks nothing like the man I lived with for 14 wonderful years." Likewise, Lily took to Instagram and shared a childhood photo of her and her dad, along with a note that read, "My dad is the sweetest, most loving person I know, he's been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same."
- Comedian Doug Stanhope claims Amber is blackmailing Johnny. In a guest column for The Wrap, Doug - who has been friends with Johnny for years - wrote at length about how he believes Amber isn't as innocent as she seems. "Amber was now going to leave him, threatening to lie about him publicly in any and every possible duplicitous way if he didn't agree to her terms," he said. "Blackmail is what I would imagine other people might put it, including the manner in which he is now being vilified."
- Amber's lawyer slams blackmail accusations. Attorney Peter Sample was quick to shut down Doug's article about Amber with a follow-up statement to The Wrap that reads: "[The] allegations against Ms. Heard are absolutely and unequivocally false," adding that the claim she's blackmailing Johnny "has no basis in reality and is nothing but the typical celebrity muckraking for profit."
- The legal team for Amber speaks out against Johnny. Lead attorney Samantha F. Spector and cocounsel Joseph P. Koenig provided an in-depth statement to Just Jared on May 31 defending the Magic Mike XXL actress. "As the result of Amber's decision to decline giving an initial statement to the LAPD, her silence has been used against her by Johnny's team. Amber did not provide a statement to the LAPD in an attempt to protect her privacy and Johnny's career," they began, before ending the lengthy statement with, "We took the high road. Unfortunately, Johnny's team immediately went to the press and began viciously attacking Amber's character. Amber is simply a victim of domestic violence, and none of her actions are motivated by money. Amber is a brave and financially independent woman who is showing the courage of her convictions by doing the right thing against Johnny's relentless army of lawyers and surrogates. The Family Law Court is not going to be influenced by misinformation placed in the social media based on anonymous sources. Amber is the victim. Amber is a hero."

According to reports, Amber's attorney called law enforcement on June 13, when Johnny's representative showed up to their home to retrieve his belongings. Following the tragic events of the gay nightclub shooting in Orlando, FL, on Sunday that left 50 people dead and more than 50 others injured, making it the most fatal shooting in US history, there has been an outpouring of love for everyone affected. On Monday night's episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the host used his opening monologue to address the shooting with a somber, eloquent message for his audience. "I know everyone is angry right now and doesn't know how to react, and this is a time when people are looking to us as a country and how we will react," he began. "This country was built on an idea that we don't agree on everything; that we are a tolerant, free nation that encourages debate, free-thinking, believing, or not, in what you choose."
Jimmy, who is a dad to daughters Winnie and Frances, also touched on how the shooting has changed the way he thinks about being a parent. "I, as a new father, am thinking, 'What do I tell my kids?' What do I tell them about this? What can we learn from this? What if my kids are gay? What do I tell them?" In the same way that President Barack Obama and J.K. Rowling have spoken out about the shooting, Jimmy was able to close his monologue with a simple sentiment that everyone would do well to keep in mind: "Keep loving each other, keep respecting each other, and keep on dancing."

There's a common thread that unites a diverse group of Americans, but it is a thread they wish was never unspooled. The friends and family members of the victims of mass shootings in the US is a relatively small group, but it's one where members can easily find comfort in each other.
Nelba Márquez-Greene never expected to be a spokesperson for the group, but following the death of her 6-year-old daughter, Ana Grace, at the Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting on Dec. 14, 2012, she became just that. The touching Facebook page she launched in memory of her daughter is filled with poignant posts about motherhood, gun violence, and support for surviving family members. But following the Orlando massacre over the weekend, she wrote a particularly mournful post that is touching parents everywhere.
"How do I tell my son that fifty people all died the way his sister did? And in one of our favorite places: Orlando, Florida," Nelba wrote. "I am waiting for the church to be as outraged about gun violence as much as we seem to be about who pees where in a Target bathroom."
She goes on to share a message with the newest members of the club no parent wants to join:
"I am sorry. I am so, so sorry. I am sorry that our tragedy here in Sandy hook wasn't enough to save your loved ones. I tried and I won't stop trying. Don't you dare even listen to even ONE person who may insinuate that somehow this is your loved ones fault because they were gay or any other reason. Nor is it God's wrath.
They did that to us on Sandy Hook- too. And it broke my heart. You will receive love from a million places. Embrace it. Take good care of yourself. This will be a forever journey. Some ugly will come your way too. Delete. Ignore. Let it go."
Nelba also shared a number of organizations that citizens can get involved with to help prevent future gun violence in America before signing off with more powerful words:
"If you know someone who shows extreme hate of a group or individual, has access to weapons and you feel there is inherent risk of harm- please call your local police immediately. Let's be more than bystanders. Let's save lives.

If Your Neighbor Complained About Your Crying Baby, Would You Do THIS?!
Like most babies, Jessica and Karl Ronnevik's 1-year-old son cries. Unlike most parents, however, the Ronneviks have been taken to task for it by their next-door neighbor.
The couple told Fox 8 News that their neighbor in their North Carolina condominium complex - whose bedroom wall is adjacent to the boy's nursery room - has been vocal with his concerns over the "loud" and "disruptive" crying and went so far as to leave a note criticizing their abilities as parents:
Please consider buying a parenting book or consult with a child care expert. Your baby should not be crying that loudly and for that long. Try more calming techniques, music, turn on a vacuum, rocking chair, go for a walk . . . anything! Also, you might consider switching bedrooms. I have lived in The Mill for 15 years and never had neighbors as loud or disruptive. If you don't makes changes immediately, you risk being fined by the association.
For the family, who are expecting another child in a few months, this was the final straw. Late last year, because of this neighbor's continued complaints, they received a warning from their homeowner's association for a potential noise violation.
"I don't feel comfortable living here, knowing that our neighbor is so intolerant," Jessica said. "It makes me feel like we have been bullied in our own home. And I don't like to have to be the mother who is constantly shushing my baby from his happy toddler noises."
With the help of their church community, the family has gone so far as to move to a new home in a more child-friendly area, but not before their neighbor issued one final statement with Fox 8:
It is unfortunate when parents are unable to calm their children. The impact of a baby who continually cries or a toddler who continually screams can be stressful not just for the parents, but also for the community near them. This is true in restaurants, in churches, and even in neighboring homes with adjacent bedrooms.
After being awakened each morning and each night for the last several months (despite wearing earplugs), I was simply reminding the young couple of this and encouraging them to take the matter more seriously.
There are many different strategies that parents can use to minimize the negative effects of a child's meltdown.
The note was also a reminder that any excessively loud noise that interferes with the rights of neighbors is subject to possible fines, as indicated in section 4 of the HOA Rules & Regulations.
I stand by the note and it's contents. I rang the doorbell several times before leaving it. Since no one came to the door, I signed it in case the young couple wanted to discuss the matter in person.
They obviously made a different and less mature choice, as they have been doing for months now with their young child."

The Heart-Melting Story Behind This Grandfather and Grandson's Matching Scars
This grandfather and his 11-month-old grandson have more in common than just blood - they've also both endured multiple open-heart surgeries.
In a powerful black-and-white photo, Sunshine Moody captured Allen Halstead cradling Kolbie Gregware as they show off their matching zipper scars for all to see. Despite being in opposite stages of life, both Allen and Kolbie have been in and out of the hospital fighting to survive. "My dad's life is slowing ending and my sons is just being," Allen's daughter and Kolbie's mother, Brandy Gregware, captioned the photo on Facebook.
After being born with Down syndrome, a heart defect, pulmonary vein stenosis, pulmonary hypertension, chronic lung disease, and kidney disease, Kolbie had his first open-heart surgery when he was just 4 months old and spent seven months in the hospital while his twin brother was at home. His grandfather, on the other hand, has endured two open-heart surgeries, 18 stents, a pacemaker, a deflator, artery disease, diabetes, a massive stroke, multiple mini heart attacks, and has 10 percent heart function.
Brandy originally posted the photo on Facebook not only to show off her father and son's incredible bond but also as a way to inspire others that miracles do happen. "There is so much hate and violence in the world, yet you have two people fighting to be here each day!" Brandy wrote. "There were several times my dad refused to go to the hospital until his Kolbie Lee came home. Miracles happen everyday and this is my proof of two amazing fighting miracles!"
A Woman Was Verbally Assaulted For Breastfeeding in Public - and Got It on Video
Hearing stories of moms who were questioned, reprimanded, or even asked to leave places because of breastfeeding their babies in public has become commonplace on social media. For Jessie Maher though, writing an open letter to someone who shamed her for feeding her child wouldn't have been enough. When she was verbally assaulted by a man in a Target, she started recording him instead.
"Before the video started rolling he looked at me and said (very angrily), 'Can't you do that somewhere else? That's f**king disgusting. You are nasty' . . . I responded with, 'I am feeding my baby, and I have the right to do it here,'" Maher said in a Facebook post accompanying the video. After being verbally slammed by the man several more times, Maher was approached by Target shoppers and staff who came to her aid - and then she started filming.

20 Outfits That Use the Most Versatile Summer Piece: The White Tank Top
The white tank top is one of the most important pieces any woman should have in her closet. It also happens to be the one item in your wardrobe that doesn't get much credit. The rule here should really be the more, the better!
I personally own about 20 at a time, because I wear a different one almost everyday. I love them for the beach, pre-production day before styling jobs, the movies, the office, a plane, for lunch with friends, for a cocktail at night - the list is endless!
Since this is one of the most versatile pieces out there, and because it works as a simple base, creating an outfit with it allows you to express your personal style. But not every white tank top is created equal. Here are a few things to keep in mind before you scroll ahead for 20 looks to use as inspiration.
- Make sure the fit is right. Tight tanks can show every lump or bump.
- Wear a seamless or t-shirt bra under your tank top.
- Choose a tank with medium straps for the most wearability. Thin spaghetti straps make a tank look like an undershirt, which is fine for certain occasions as long as you make sure to wear a strapless bra. Skip thick straps though, as they are too bulky to layer or wear under certain garments.
- Pay attention to the neckline. Choose one that ends right above your cleavage.
- Length is of utmost importance. Your tank should hit a little past your waist so you can easily tuck it in or add a belt if you want to wear it out.
- Mind the quality. It should be soft and sturdy, since you are going to wear it so many ways, so splurge if you need to. Those made with 100 percent cotton are comfortable and fresh for hot Summer days.
- There's a place for see-through fabrics. They can be funky and sexy for night if you show a peek of pretty lace lingerie. You also add a light leather jacket for a rock look or a blazer for a little more polished style.
- For casual looks, loose fitting tanks are perfect. Complement them with ripped jeans and layered necklaces with sneakers, or leggings and a cardigan. And don't be afraid to accessorize with bold statement bracelets either.
- Own at least two tanks made of thick fabric. Wear them under a suit or with a nice pencil skirt and small jewelry for a chic, polished look you can sport to work.
- Pack at least one if you're traveling. It is the perfect basic piece to start a layered look. Weather changes constantly at airports and planes and I constantly use a sweater, scarf, cardigan, or a jacket over it.
