Here's How to Meal Prep Without Getting Bored by Day 2
I recently decided to take charge of my life, my food, and my bank account. After taking a peek at my finances and realizing that $9 a day on avocado toast isn't a sustainable way of life, I knew there was only one thing to do: meal prep.
But here's the caveat - I get bored eating the same thing every day (yeah, even avocado toast), and in general, I hate leftovers. I assumed that with meal prep, I'd be stuck on a glorified version of a leftover meal plan, and that sounded pretty miserable (OK, I'm whining, not miserable but also not awesome). Then it dawned on me: meal prep doesn't mean making a bunch of the same meal for the whole week . . . and I discovered that added variety doesn't always mean added prep time. Let me explain.
It's all about mixing and matching - what, and how much, can you make with your pre-cooked, portioned ingredients? I just prepped a bunch of chicken and quinoa, in separate containers. I'm not going to have the same chicken quinoa bowl every day - I think I'd hate that by day two, and end up chucking my pre-made food and walking across the street for my overpriced toast. To keep the variety (it really is the spice of life), I picked a few different recipes from my arsenal (read: Pinterest) that use chicken and quinoa - and they're all totally different.
I can also make quinoa bowls that don't have chicken (hello, maple cinnamon breakfast porridge!) and chicken recipes that don't use quinoa, like an arugula chicken salad. But my chicken is cooked and portioned out, and my quinoa is in Tupperware ready to go. Same amount of cook time, but I have flexible ingredients that work for multiple recipes, allowing for a varied weekly menu.
Setting up portioned-out packs is essential to maintaining variety throughout the week. Cooked grains can be used in things like salads, bowls, and hot meals for dinner. Portioned veggies can be tossed into a salad or smoothie, or served up as a side. Sliced up fruit can go on salads or chia pudding, or be blended into a quick smoothie, too.
That's how my meal prep started, actually; at any given moment, you can find at least four or five bags of frozen banana chunks in my freezer (I make a lot of smoothies, honestly). But it's never the same smoothie - I make protein shakes, fruit and cream smoothies, and green drinks. Just apply this to other foods and voilà: you've gone from setting your money on fire weekly via takeout, to meal-prepping goddess.
Paleo blogger Cassy Joy Garcia - and author of the cookbook Fed + Fit - can back me up on this. Mixing and matching is actually one of her favorite tips for meal prep - she recommends portioning out individual packs for the freezer. When "your proteins, starches, and veggies are all frozen in individual servings, you can mix and match at mealtime," she said in a blog post.
So take it from both of us, a Paleo prepping pro and a layperson just trying to figure out the meal prepping world, one freezer pack at a time: having an arsenal of prepped ingredients to mix and match not only will make your meal prepping easier, but will also give your more exciting variety and tastier meals during the week.

For Better Sleep, Do These Things 20 Minutes Before Bed
We spend about a third of our lives in slumberland, but many people complain of not sleeping well. If you have a tough time falling asleep or you toss and turn in the middle of the night, try exercising during the day and limiting alcohol and caffeine a few hours before bedtime. But if you are doing this already and still have troubles, here are three things to do immediately before hitting the hay to calm your body and mind and help you get the restful night of sleep you crave.
- The power of water: Twenty minutes before bedtime, dim the lights in the bathroom, turn on some relaxing tunes on your iPhone, and take a warm shower or bath. The heat soothes achy muscles, and the steam clears your sinuses, which is essential if allergy symptoms prevent you from sleeping well at night. It's also a great way to wash away germs and prevent you from getting sick, which can also make it difficult to sleep.
- Bye-bye pains: After your 10-minute warm bath or shower, slip into your PJs and do five minutes of stretching to ease any pains that prevent you from sleeping. Lower back pain is common for many, so if yours bothers you, here's a yoga sequence to offer back pain relief. If a sore neck and shoulders are your woe, do these soothing stretches. A little self-massage can also ease muscle tension, or apply a heating pad or one of those rice pillows you warm up in the microwave to sore areas.
- Get bored: Now slip into bed, not with a riveting, can't-put-it-down book, but one that has a dull, monotonous, stale topic that's bound to have your eyelids drooping in minutes. Be sure to read from an actual book, not a laptop or iPad, as the lights cue your brain to wake up.

Proof You May Have Gotten the Healthy Memo All Wrong
With so many people sharing health and fitness advice, it can't all be right! Here's some advice you probably should never follow.
8 Things You Need to Do Before Selling Your iPhone
Ready to trade in your old iPhone for the new one? Before you do, take a look at this checklist to make sure you've deleted all important data from your iPhone. Don't leave anything behind!
- Back up your iPhone.
- Remove photos from Camera Roll. Connect the device to your computer and open Image Capture or iPhoto. Select all photos and then click Import All. In iPhoto, choose to "delete photos from your iPhone" after importing. In Image Capture, if the "Delete Items After Downloading" option no longer appears, try this: turn off "Photos" in iCloud on your Mac and iPhone, then restart both devices, and you should see the delete button.
- Turn iMessage off. Open the Settings app > Messages > iMessage > switch to off.
- Turn FaceTime off. Open the Settings app > FaceTime > switch to off.
- Disable your iCloud account. Open the Settings app > iCloud > tap "Sign Out."
- Log out of Apple ID. Open the Settings app >App and iTunes Stores > tap Apple ID and sign out.
- Restore to factory settings. Open the Settings app > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
- Unregister your device at supportprofile.apple.com.
- Call your carrier and ask them to disassociate the device from your account.
An important tip! Whatever you do, don't manually delete contacts, photo streams, calendars, or reminders while logged in to your iCloud account. This will also delete the content from the iCloud servers and your iCloud-connected devices (like your iPad or laptop).
Another important tip! If your phone accidentally runs out of battery during the "restore to factory settings" step, use iTunes to erase data. Connect the device to your computer, then restore the backup. Connect your phone to power, go to Settings app > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings again.
OK, but seriously, this is the last important tip! You can erase your device remotely. If you set up Find My iPhone, sign into icloud.com/#find, then click on All Devices and select the phone you want to erase. In the info window, click "Erase iPhone." You'll need to enter your Apple ID password.

Severus Snape Is Kind of an Assh*le (Dodges Tomatoes)
Snape was . . . a huge assh*le. He was cunning, and brilliant, and dynamic, and he was a HUGE assh*le. I love him, yes. He is one of my favorite characters in the Harry Potter series. But I also have never quite understood the ease with which we all went from hating Snape to raising him up on a pedestal that he simply doesn't belong on. Here's the thing: no one belongs on one, Snape least of all.
Severus Snape teaches us the ultimate lesson: that just because we've done bad things, it's never too late to seek and find redemption and forgiveness. His unwavering love for Lily is a testament to the power of the sentiment, to the mountains it can move, and to the lasting effect it can have on one person, and on the world as a whole.
But Snape was also a bully. He was cruel to Harry. He spent most of his childhood and adolescence on a dark path that culminated in his initiation as a Death Eater. Part of why he lost Lily's friendship in the first place is because he sought the company of future Death Eaters at Hogwarts.
In the epic Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Prince's Tale chapter, so much about Snape's past is revealed, and not all of it is pretty. This conversation from Lily and Snape's days at Hogwarts showed their friendship unraveling.
". . . thought we were supposed to be friends?" Snape was saying, "Best friends?"
"We are, Sev, but I don't like some of the people you're hanging round with! I'm sorry, but I detest Avery and Mulciber! Mulciber! What do you see in him, Sev, he's creepy! D'you know what he tried to do to Mary MacDonald the other day?" Lily had reached a pillar and leaned against it, looking up into the thin, sallow face.
"That was nothing," said Snape. "It was a laugh, that's all -"
"It was Dark Magic, and if you think that's funny -"
Harry kept his distance this time . . . He watched as Lily joined the group and went to Snape's defense. Distantly he heard Snape shout at her in his humiliation and his fury, the unforgivable word: "Mudblood."
This moment still makes my stomach turn. Yes, Snape was hurt, and yes we all say and do things that we don't mean in that state. But his deep-seated disrespect for "lesser" people wasn't present only in his moments of frustration; it showed in the countless choices he made as he grew up, and in who he chose to cultivate relationships with - as in, future Death Eaters and Voldemort himself.
He took out his hatred for a grown man (who was long dead) on his son - an 11-year-old boy who was completely innocent. Neville Longbottom's boggart was Snape, for god's sake. He laughed in Hermione's face when she was cursed and openly belittled her intelligence for years. He constantly allied himself with the likes of Slytherin students like Malfoy whose sole purpose was to make others miserable. He sat idly by while Voldemort murdered Professor Burbage for the crime of teaching Muggle Studies. You can't tell me that we can blame all of this on the mere fact that he had it out for James Potter. Nor can you convince me that all of this was to maintain the guise that Snape was indeed still loyal to Voldemort. No, Snape wasn't a terrible person, but he certainly had darkness within him, and without someone like Lily Potter to keep it in check, that fire was fueled further. Snape's hatred of James and his friends coupled with his utterly unrequited love for Lily twisted him into something that, in many ways, was terrible. Even when he knew that Lily's entire family - a baby included - was targeted by Voldemort, he thought only of Lily, and in turn, only of himself:
"You disgust me," said Dumbledore, and Harry had never heard so much contempt in his voice. Snape seemed to shrink a little, "You do not care, then, about the deaths of her husband and child? They can die, as long as you have what you want?"
Snape said nothing, but merely looked up at Dumbledore.
"Hide them all, then," he croaked. "Keep her - them - safe. Please."
And so Dumbledore did keep Harry safe. And so Snape used his love for Lily as a reason for protecting Harry, and he put everything he had into doing just that. His devotion to this promise is incredibly admirable, and it is this service to her memory that often paints him as a martyr of sorts among fans. But this doesn't mean he was kind. It doesn't mean he did what he did happily, because Harry was, after all, James Potter's son. He begrudgingly, and yes, bravely, upheld his bargain to Dumbledore and to the woman he loved. More than anything, Snape was very brave.
"Karkaroff intends to flee if the Mark burns."
"Does he?" said Dumbledore softly, as Fleur Delacour and Roger Davies came giggling in from the grounds. "And are you tempted to join him?"
"No," said Snape, his black eyes on Fleur's and Roger's retreating figures. "I am not such a coward."
"No," agreed Dumbledore. "You are a braver man by far than Igor Karkaroff. You know, I sometimes think we Sort too soon . . . "
The idea that Hogwarts Sorts too soon is important, because I really believe that a lot of who Snape became is due to where he came from and who he fell in with in Slytherin. Maybe if he'd been in Gryffindor with Lily's goodness to guide him, everything would have been different. But he wasn't, and who he was is due in large part to this. Maybe he never really had the chance to foster the part of him that could love the way he loved Lily. Maybe, like Tom Riddle, Snape is yet another character who proves that had someone given them love they so desperately needed (and deserved), something else entirely would have come to pass.
Whatever his reasons for protecting Harry were, he didn't waver in his task once he agreed to it. Above everything, I think this is what I admire most about him. He did whatever it took to keep Lily's son alive. And in the end, I do believe he cared for Harry. Somewhere along the way, Snape was able to throw off the cloak of cold hatred he had wrapped himself in years before and objectively see that Harry wasn't so much like James after all, at least not in the ways he always expected to find, and therefore saw. The moment I realized that it wasn't only about Lily anymore was when he found out Dumbledore's devastating plan.
"I have spied for you and lied for you, put myself in mortal danger for you. Everything was supposed to be to keep Lily Potter's son safe. Now you tell me you have been raising him like a pig for slaughter -"
"But this is touching, Severus," said Dumbledore seriously. "Have you grown to care for the boy, after all?"
"For him?" shouted Snape. "Expecto Patronum!"
From the tip of his wand burst the silver doe. She landed on the office floor, bounded once across the office, and soared out of the window. Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears.
"After all this time?"
"Always," said Snape.
Stubborn until the bitter end, Snape still couldn't bring himself to admit that what he did was for anyone but Lily. And maybe that's true. Maybe his motives were selfish, and maybe he's an overall sh*tty guy whose attempt at fulfilling a promise in honor of the memory of a woman he loved just happened to, by default, have wonderful results. I don't think so. But maybe it doesn't really matter why he did what he did.
No, I don't think Snape was a great person, but I certainly think Snape did great things. Snape is one of my favorite characters because he was so imperfect. His motives were never pure, he was majorly flawed, he was born and raised in darkness and could have clung to it - and in many ways did. But somewhere deep down he realized - I think in part because of his relationship with Dumbledore - what it truly meant to fight on the side of good. Despite everything he'd been through in his rather bleak life, he was capable of a love so deep, it literally changed the tide of a war. He played his part in saving Harry's life, and in turn, he played his part in saving the wizarding world from something far more terrible than the decades-old grudge of a sad and lonely man.
I think we romanticize Snape, we raise him up on that pedestal - one he can't ever live up to because the stains of his past will always be a part of him. But I love Snape, stains and all, because he epitomizes what these books stand for. The strength of bravery, the reality of failure and the hope of forgiveness, the importance of perseverance, the beauty of unwavering loyalty, the reassurance that light can and will drive out the darkness. And most of all, the monumental power of love. Always, love.

Meet the Podiatrist Behind the Line of Gorgeous Heels You'll Want to Live In
Any wedding guest can attest to the fact that by the end of the night, there's hardly a woman still standing in her shoes. A long day in heels is a nightmare - forget trying to dance in them at the end of it. So, when we caught wind of a new luxury shoe collection designed to emphasize wearability, we were intrigued. And, when we found out there was an experienced podiatrist behind the beautiful lineup, we had to meet her.
Enter Marion Parke, the savvy foot-doctor-turned-designer behind her eponymous shoe label that's now being sold at Moda Operandi, your first indication that the debut collection is already kind of a big deal. Marion would be the first to admit that. She's come a long way from experimenting with arch supports and pads to designing a prototype that finally addressed the gap most women have in their wardrobes. "I said, 'I can do this. I can take what I know as a podiatrist and very tastefully and discreetly incorporate it into a luxury shoe.' So that was my moment. I was standing in front of my shoes and recognizing a void." From there, she simply got to work on the technology.
OK, simple isn't exactly the word that comes to mind when describing Marion's quest for more comfortable shoes. In this business, as she puts it, "literally millimeters count." So her attention to detail is crucial. You can't pile on the padding, because it actually changes the volume, and consequently the shoe gets tighter on your foot. Or on the flip side, the padding can move around a lot. Marion's solution builds these "functionality and wearability points into the shoe and then covers them with the same beautiful materials as the upper, so it blends seamlessly with the rest of the [body]." Of course it's not just how the shoes are covered, but with what.
When Marion first connected with factories in Italy to build her prototype, she learned that the traditional insoles used in Italian dress shoes has been the same model for decades. "It's basically a flat piece of cardboard, wrapped in leather. A little bit of material for cushioning, and that's it. The sole is flat." No wonder our feet hurt. Marion's model goes much, much further to create arch support and actually redistribute the weight from the ball of your foot. "I took that insole and turned it into an orthotic," she explained. Additionally, she's crafted cupping to the heel to help focus the heel of the foot over the heel of the shoe and create more stability. But the real kicker is this: medical-grade material that was developed to have similar properties to soft tissue. According to Marion, "it's like adding another layer of soft tissue to the bottom of the foot, and instead of bouncing back like the runner that most brands use, it molds to your foot over time."
Still, when all that's said and done, the real point is that you don't even realize that all of that is going on. "Nobody wants to advertise that they're wearing arch support. That was my whole idea." Marion explained, "All of this can be done on a very tasteful level. It can be done discreetly." Still, you should know, Marion is designing covetable shoes, not comfortable shoes. That was a distinction she was careful to make during our sit-down.
"I don't want anyone to be confused or misunderstand that we don't make shoes that are extra wide, for people with bunions, or extra deep for hammer toes; it's not something that can prevent shoes from having an injury or help your knee problem. That's not what it is. It's beautiful, handmade luxury shoes - it just has this intelligent design incorporated into a very discreet and tasteful way."
But if you're looking for a balance between beautiful and wearable, that's exactly what you'll find. You'll find pumps, mules, and even sheer booties, but nothing with a heel height over three and a third inches - that's Marion's magic number that's functional but gives you the look and the feel of a four inch. It's not an exact science, but Marion's attention to pitch and style sets these heels apart. She seems truly fascinated by tinkering with the pieces and getting the silhouette and the feel just right, as she did with her d'orsay model, one that required constructing two separate molds to get the fit on the toes and the heel just right.
That's the kind of painstaking attention to detail that's gotten her into Moda Operandi's trunk shows and earned her rave reviews from customers, but the fact that Marion herself is eight months pregnant and rocked her own heels for 11 hours at an event was all the convincing I needed to try a pair. I felt like a girlfriend had just confided her best kept style secret, and now, it's my duty to pass it on.
Read on to see a selection of the beautiful Marion Parke collection and to learn a bit more about the design process and her favorite pairs, straight from the designer. Then, when you're ready for your own pair, click on over to shop at Marion Parke.
THIS Is the Bikini That'll Be Blowing Up Your Instagram Feed All Summer
I didn't discover Kiini through a market appointment or press preview; I fell in love with the bikinis on Instagram. Through the filtered vacation photos of fashion bloggers and style-savvy girls pictured on sandy beaches, I became obsessed and finally bought one of my own. When we met face to face, my love only grew. The bright crochet was eye-catching and different from all the swimsuits my friends had, and the elastic held me in all the right places without any ties or buckles. As a bonus, I seemed to collect compliments with each wear.
Like I said, I'm not the only one. The Kiini love is practically contagious - and all over your feed, probably since last Summer. Maybe you didn't know it yet, but this could very well be the best bikini you ever buy. I really do believe the brand when it says: "[these suits] unleash superpowers such as supreme positivity." It's always sunny when I slip mine on. Keep looking to see how this hot little suit is taking over, and shop it before it flies off the shelves this season.
While You Were Distracted by the Drama on Pretty Little Liars, We Were Looking at This
On Pretty Little Liars, nothing is ever as it seems: when you think this crew's in the clear, a new killer's on the loose. When you think someone's dead and buried, they come back - or their long-lost twin emerges from out of nowhere. But something we can always, without a doubt, expect from this show? Really cute outfits, ready to inspire tomorrow's look once the episode ends.
Plus, since that five-year flash forward, the outfits are way less "cute and quirky high schooler" and more chic and on-trend - which basically means we'd have no issue breaking them out for, say, the office or date night. Scroll through to see what your favorite liars have been wearing for season seven, then look back at all the style that's happened since day one.
14 Runway Gowns So Exquisite, They Might as Well Be Disney Couture
Some of the most exquisite gowns are unveiled at Paris Haute Couture Week, so it's only natural we'd imagine them on our favorite Disney princesses. While these intricately hand-stitched pieces are mesmerizing enough to be appreciated on their own, we can't deny their subtle influence.
Giambattista Valli sent a crop-top set down the runway that looked like it belonged on a magic carpet ride. And Alexis Mabille's ballgowns were just the right shades of yellow and blue for Belle and Cinderella. Meanwhile, Karl Lagerfeld's fur-finished black and white Chanel design was so edgy, we could only see it on Cruella de Vil, and you'll find even more villain-appropriate outfits when you scroll. Just read on to admire Fall 2016 Couture Week through a very magical lens.

It's safe to say Olivia packed pretty lightly for this trip, filling her suitcase with items she know she'd get more than one wear out of. The 1 Mediterranean Spice That's Completely Worth the High Price
Image Source: POPSUGAR Photography / Susannah Chen
"A gram of saffron is like a gram of gold," I overheard while visiting winery and organic farm Fattoria Poggio Alloro in Tuscany, Italy. If you've ever passed by the Mediterranean spice in the store and cringed at the high price, you know that statement is not far off. I've always shied away from buying it for recipes that call for a few threads of saffron, like paella and risotto, but after learning some background about the flavorful spice at that Italian farm, I've changed the way I think about it and cook with it. Here are the three simple reasons it's so expensive - and worth it.
- The weather. Growing saffron is not easy. It thrives in extreme temperatures, both cold and hot, so every variation in the climate can affect its growth. It grows well in areas that have cold Winters and warm, dry Summers.
- The harvest. Saffron grows inside crocus flowers, and it has to be handpicked - a very difficult, time-consuming task.
- The scarcity. For one gram of saffron, you need almost 400 flowers! Long, deep-red threads have the most flavor, too, so chances that every flower delivers a perfect product are slim. Now that I understand the work that goes into that small jar at the grocery store, I appreciate it a lot more. Plus, an ounce will last you a long time, so it's 100 percent worth the buy.

6 Cliffhangers From the Game of Thrones Season Finale That Still Have Our Stomachs in Knots
GIANT SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON SIX FINALE BELOW!
The sixth season finale of Game of Thrones managed to be a slow, tortuous burn while also packing in some of the most insane plot twists we've seen in the fantasy series thus far. The final episode has more deaths than we can possibly count, important confirmations of some of the biggest fan theories, and one disgusting, toe-filled meat pie. "Winds of Winter" is an intensely satisfying episode, but like all Game of Thrones finales, there are still quite a few plot lines that have been left open. Take a look at the season finale's biggest cliffhangers below, and then see what the cast will be up to while the show is on hiatus.
Shonda Rhimes Just Clapped Back at the Protest to Get Jesse Williams Off Grey's Anatomy
Jesse Williams is an actor who, until recently, was most known for starring on Grey's Anatomy and his work as a human rights activist. On June 26, Jesse Williams accepted the humanitarian award at the BET Awards, giving a rousing speech considered by many to be the show's highlight. He began by addressing the injustice of police brutality:
"What we've been doing is looking at the data and we know that police somehow manage to deescalate, disarm, and not kill white people everyday. So what's going to happen is we are going to have equal rights and justice in our own country or we will restructure their function and ours."
And he went on to mention Eric Garner, Sandra Bland, Tamir Rice, Rekia Boyd, and Darrien Hunt, all people who were killed by police and have become names associated with the Black Lives Matter movement.
"We've been floating this country on credit for centuries, yo, and we're done watching and waiting while this invention called whiteness uses and abuses us, burying black people out of sight and out of mind while extracting our culture, our dollars, our entertainment like oil - black gold, ghettoizing and demeaning our creations, then stealing them, gentrifying our genius and then trying us on like costumes before discarding our bodies like rinds of strange fruit. The thing is though . . . the thing is that just because we're magic doesn't mean we're not real."
Here's the full speech:
Here's where the controversy begins. Days after the speech aired, a woman by the name of Erin Smith started a petition at Change.org aimed at getting ABC to fire Williams from Grey's Anatomy. "Jesse Williams spewed a racist, hate speech against law enforcement and white people at the BET awards," it reads. "If this was a white person making the same speech about an African American, they would have been fired and globally chastised, as they should be, but there has been no consequences to Williams' actions." So far, the petition has over 6,000 supporters.
Things heated up further when former Clueless star Stacey Dash spoke out against Williams in a blog post on June 29, calling him a "plantation slave." Aside from a series of GIFs, some more obviously pointed than others, Williams only tweeted one verbal reply:
Do not promote empty people & their tantrums. Pure clickbait to gain followers, attention & money, for themselves, not you. Never you.
- jesseWilliams. (@iJesseWilliams) July 3, 2016
Thankfully, a handful of celebrities have pledged their support to Williams, most notably his showrunner, Shonda Rhimes, who tweeted about the issue on July 4:
Um, people? Boo don't need a petition. #shondalandrules

That brings you up to speed. We'll let you know if there are any developments, but honestly, let's all hope this just fades away forever.
This Professor Made a Carrier to Swaddle His Student's Fussy Baby During Class
This professor does what it takes to help his students learn - even if it means soothing a crying baby during class.
Honoré Kahi, a communications professor at Université Alassane Ouattara in Bouaké, Ivory Coast, not only allowed one mom to bring her baby to class but also offered to carry the crying infant on his back. After the mom left class three times in fruitless attempts to calm her child, Kahi unexpectedly stepped in with much needed assistance.
The understanding professor took a wrap and made a carrier for the baby, and his pacing immediately soothed her. He continued to rock her as he taught the rest of the class, and she quickly fell asleep as soon as she was settled in his DIY carrier. "My student told me she was very touched by this gesture, and that she was very surprised because there is generally some distance between students and teachers," Kahi told France 24, according to the Huffington Post.
Although Kahi credits social expectations and "male chauvinism" for many people's surprise over his actions, he believes that young mothers deserve an education no matter what. "I'm the teacher, and teachers are human beings - we are not robots," he told BBC.
Let the Dior Haute Couture Models Be Your Ultimate Cat-Eye Inspiration
Despite our prowess with a felt-tipped eyeliner pen, we often stick to the same old cat eye: a thin swipe across the lash line, ending with a tiny tail at the outer corner. It's classic, sure . . . but after a while, we get bored of our signature look. However, Peter Philips, creative and image director for Dior Makeup, is inspiring us to shake up our go-to feline flick.
For the Dior Haute Couture Fall 2016 show, he created more than 40 different takes on the iconic cat eye. There were designs that spotlighted the models' incredible bone structure, while others were so dramatic that they covered the entire upper eyelid. Philips started with two color frameworks - black and gold - before creating graphic, sculpted lines with his medium.
For black, he alternated between Diorshow Pro Liner Waterproof ($32), a gel pencil, and liquid formula Diorshow Art Pen Intense Professional Felt-Tip Eyeliner ($32), finishing each eye with mascara on upper lashes only.
The gold masterpieces were even more stunning. On a select few models, he painted the limited-edition Dior Addict Fluid Shadow in #545 Phenix ($32) on lids using broad strokes. He then opted to skip mascara, making for a foiled statement eye.
The looks varied from punk-rock chic and mod majesty to full-on Cleopatra-like styles, but they were all gorgeous - and they will all motivate you to update your own makeup routine. See our favorite runway moments when you read on.
Is Fergie's New "M.I.L.F. $" Video an Empowerment Anthem For Moms?
Well if she wanted to come back in a big way, that's exactly what Fergie did with her new "M.I.L.F. $" video that debuted over the holiday weekend. A celebration of sexy moms everywhere who are cashing in on their success, in Fergie's case, M.I.L.F. stands for Mother I'd Like to Follow (a hat tip to the power of social media), rather than the traditional definition of the term. The 1950s housewife-themed video is chock-full of celebrity mom cameos doing mom-like things like pushing a stroller, getting their kids buckled into a minivan, setting up a lemonade (or, in this case, a milk) stand, and breastfeeding.
Yup, the video features Chrissy Teigen breastfeeding her 2-month-old daughter, Luna, while a milkman gawks at her.
It also shows Kim Kardashian taking a milk shower (though, not in the traditional sense) and Fergie taking a milk bath (a popular trend for new baby photos).
While the video shows a bunch of beautiful moms in some powerful positions, some think the "mom power" message is lost in all of the sexiness. "Changing the acronym to 'Moms I'd Like To Follow' is about empowering women who do it all," Fergie told Entertainment Weekly. "They have a career, a family, and still find the time to take care of themselves and feel sexy. With a wink of course." But some moms are calling foul on that message, saying the video is sexualizing breastfeeding and idealizing the "perfect body."
I, for one, am not sure that either is the case. Is it empowering? Probably not. The women in the video aren't doing anything that screams girl (or mom) power - with the exception of Alessanda Ambrosio who poses with her daughter for a "Got Milk"-like photo shoot. Otherwise, it is nothing more than a fun and overtly sexy video showing that moms don't lose their sex appeal once they have kids. And as for the breastfeeding shot? I wouldn't expect anything less of Chrissy Teigen at this point - she's single-handedly making new motherhood funny again.
When It Comes to Fresh Summer Style, No One Can Beat Queen Letizia of Spain
If there's one thing we should all learn from Queen Letizia of Spain, it's to follow no fashion rules. The royal, who is often photographed in the same outfit again and again, has been totally ignoring weather lately, wearing whatever she wants even if it doesn't quite fit the hot temperatures of the season.
After wearing a tweed-like skirt and ombré blazer just last week, Queen Letizia opted for a long-sleeved silk dress from Zara to attend a scholarship ceremony in Madrid, Spain, with her husband, King Felipe VI. But don't get it twisted; the dress was far from wintry, featuring a tulip print in tones of white, pink, purple, and green that made the look a perfect fit for Summer. Keep scrolling to see the royal's fun look and to find a few options that'll help you copy her look this Summer.

Alicia's as big a sensation in the fashion world as she is in film. Since her red carpet debut, she's developed an unrivaled style, combining daytime boho chic with high-octane evening glamour. A fan of printed day dresses, Alicia has no fear, mixing them up with daring leather boots. 1 Mom Wants to Use Her Late Daughter's Frozen Eggs to Give Birth to Her Own Grandchild
One mother in the UK is fighting for her right to use her late daughter's frozen eggs so she can give birth to her own grandchild. The woman, referred to as "Mrs. M," lost her daughter to bowel cancer in 2011 and says it was her child's dying wish for her to use the eggs that were frozen before her death.
The court ruled against Mrs. M in the original trial, which was believed to be the first of its kind. The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) claimed that there wasn't enough evidence that her daughter gave permission for Mrs. M to use the eggs, but on Thursday the high court's original ruling was overturned, giving her a chance to appeal.
Mrs. M says that her daughter told her right before her death, "I want you and Dad to bring them up, they will be safe with you." The case is being reconsidered as soon as possible, and if the HFEA releases the eggs, Mrs. M plans on traveling to New York to seek IVF treatment using donor sperm.
Jamie Dornan Looks Devilishly Handsome During His Appearance in the Czech Republic
Jamie Dornan looked 50 shades of fine over the holiday weekend when he hit up the 51st Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic. The actor donned a black suit and tie as he walked the red carpet at the opening ceremony on Friday, smiling and waving to photographers along the way. And the hotness didn't end there! The following day, he looked too cool in a blue suit and sunglasses as he attended a press conference for his new film, Anthropoid. He even stopped to sign a few autographs for some lucky fans waiting outside.
Jamie has certainly been busy these past few months. Aside from filming the highly anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey sequels, he also recently welcomed his second child in March. If you just can't get enough of his good looks, see more pictures from his latest appearance below.
Nick Jonas Talking About His Sexual Fetishes Will Absolutely Make You Blush
Nick Jonas hasn't been shy about sharing juicy and hilarious details about his personal life lately, and we hope he never changes. The "Under You" singer stopped by Watch What Happens Live last month and opened up to host Andy Cohen about some of his sexual experiences and fetishes. In addition to revealing that he is absolutely not into feet or getting tied to a bed ("It happened one time, and it didn't end well"), he is totally down for being spanked and possibly watching others get busy. The revealing interview came shortly after the handsome actor talked to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show about a "NARB," or "nonapparent reason boner," he once got at an award show. Watch the video above to get to know Nick on a very personal level.

Prince William Takes a Stand Against Bullying in This Touching Video
Prince William is standing up against bullying in the first-ever National Stand Up to Bullying Day campaign in honor of The Diana Award. During a round-table discussion about his late mother's foundation, the Duke of Cambridge filmed a video to raise awareness for the antibullying campaign. "Bullying is an issue which can affect any one of us, regardless of age, background, gender, sexuality, race, disability or religion," the famous royal explains. "It can happen for many reasons and is often stupid and cruel and can take many forms."
William also touched on how it is up to us to stop it, adding, "It is our collective responsibility to be alert and to be ready to challenge the behavior we see around us . . . and put a stop to bullying." This message is just one of the many ways William has spoken up about important causes recently. Aside from honoring the victims of the Orlando shooting in June, he has also openly talked about mental health and has been an important advocate for the LGBTQ community.
