GIFs That Show Soni Nicole Bringas Might Be the Best Thing About Fuller House
Kimmy Gibbler's daughter, Ramona, might be the best thing about Netflix's Fuller House. The character is full of spark, but it is all about 14-year-old Soni Nicole Bringas's perfect delivery of the lines and on-point body language.
We see a bright future for the ubertalented actress - whose mom was born in Barcelona, Spain, and whose dad was born in Montevideo, Uruguay - not only in acting but also dancing. So now that the show has been renewed for a second season (thank you, Netflix gods!), we thought it was only appropriate to round up the best GIFs of Ramona's first few episodes. Keep reading to see all the times she was simply perfection.
Daenerys Targaryen Would Totally Rock This Braid - and You Can Too
Since gaining popularity in the past few years, the romantic waterfall braid has become a staple of hair tutorials, perhaps due to the fact that it is a slightly intimidating hairstyle. A recent tutorial, however, is taking the traditional waterfall braid a step further by creating a dual-sided braid that beautifully ties together at the crown of the head.
One hair vlogger broke down the look in a recent video that's growing with over 20,000 views. In it, she braids a substantial section of hair on one side - using the waterfall method, of course - and secures that braid with an elastic as she repeats the process on the other side. Once the braids are able to meet in the middle, she simply brings them together with another elastic. The result is an intricate look that would make Daenerys Targaryen jealous.
8 Secrets of a Chinese Restaurant, Revealed by an Employee
If you've always wanted to know what really goes on inside a Chinese restaurant, you're in luck. A restaurant employee recently did a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) entitled Your Typical Chinese Restaurant Employee, and he answered a lot of users' questions that touched on everything except the exact recipes (some things have to remain a secret!). He wrote, "I am Chinese. Parents are Chinese. Parents own a typical take out Chinese food restaurant. I have worked there almost all my life and I know almost all the ins and outs." Curious about his insider secrets? Read on for some of the standout questions and answers, and then catch up on the whole AMA here.
1. The secret to authentic Chinese food is the sauce.
Someone mentioned that they try to make Chinese food at home but it's never nearly as good - not even "as good as the worst Chinese takeout." Turns out, the major difference is the sauce.
2. Using a wok makes a difference.
Another reason your homemade stir fries and lo mein might not taste authentic is that using a wok is far superior to a regular skillet. "The ability to flash cook in a wok makes a big difference believe it or not."
3. North American Chinese food is cheaper.
4. The secret to the chicken in dishes like General Tso's is the breading.
5. Yes, many restaurants really do use the same images for the menu.
6. Don't believe a restaurant if it says it doesn't have MSG . . . it's already in soy sauce and many other sauces.
7. The best thing to order is anything Mongolian style. At least, that's this guy's personal favorite.
8. The one thing you should NEVER order is . . . fries.

Dolce & Gabbana Takes You to the Tropics, Covered in Lace, Sequins, and Opulence
It's never about one piece, or one outfit at Dolce & Gabbana. The Spring '17 show will tell you that much - a parade of opulence - sequins, megawatt prints, fringe, and endless embellishment packed into every look. True to form, this runway, too, was a spectacle that began and ended with a dance on the catwalk. To be fair, the clothes would make you want to dance, too. The range of suiting, sheer black lace dresses - a sexy signature of the brand - and jewels on everything from pencil skirts and turbans to jeans, is all playfully ornate, classically over-the-top. The fun surprises come in the form of cheeky new prints - fish, ice cream cones, and pasta - that overwhelm you with the notion that dressing should be fun.
Here's Another Harry Potter Detail We Can't Believe We Never Noticed Before
J.K. Rowling always surprises us with the amount of detail she poured into Harry Potter, and it feels like every day we learn something new about the series. Reddit user SunshineallDay's fan theory provides more evidence of how much Rowling hid in her books.
It might be hard to catch when you're first reading, but look a little closer and you'll see it. The fun Easter egg shows how Hermione's character learned Wizard Baruffio wasn't the most intelligent in The Sorcerer's Stone from Professor Flitwick. Later in The Order of the Phoenix, Harry and Ron are tempted to drink Baruffio's Brain Elixir before their O.W.L.s, but Hermione clearly recalls their lesson and pours the drink down the toilet. An image from the books highlighting these two passages is below.
It's a good thing Hermione confiscated it before you could buy it, Harry from harrypotter

As if we needed another reminder of how sharp Hermione is! Really, what impressed us most about this is Rowling's memory - and that we can keep rereading the books and find more fun coincidences like this.
Victoria Beckham's Sweater Seems Totally Casual, Until You Zoom In on the Stitching
If we just got back from New York after a long week of preparing and finally debuting a new collection, we'd be tired. Truthfully, we'd probably be in flats, not pumps, like Victoria Beckham was when she popped out to visit her Dover Street store. But it's safe to say her sweater and skirt pairing hits the mark. The fitted coordinates are effortless, comfortable, and flattering all at once, and paired with dark sunglasses, they help VB pull off her favorite color combo: navy and black.
Easy to style, sure, but the pieces are not without Victoria's signature touch. Zoom in close, and you'll find the designer's initials stitched onto the corner of her top in white - hence those white heels. As expected, Victoria's outfit comes full circle in the end, inspiring us to pull off the same monochrome look. Read on for another peek, then shop the essentials. Oh, and we highly suggest you personalize your jumper before you wear it.

How to Be Sure Your Avocado's Ripe
If you purchase avocados, you probably know the proper technique for checking for ripeness. Give the flesh a soft squeeze, and it should yield to moderate pressure. However, sometimes a soft avocado is actually bruised. Since there's nothing more disappointing than slicing into a browned avocado, I've got another way of testing for ripeness. Flick the small brown stem off the top of the avocado. If it comes off easily and you can see green underneath it, the avocado is ripe! If the stem doesn't come off or if you see brown, the avocado is not ripe.
How to Prep You Skin For Your Wedding If You Have Acne, Rosacea, or Hyperpigmentation
Kate Somerville is a celebrity esthetician with a wildly successful eponymous brand and spa, located in Los Angeles. Here, she explains how to prep your skin for you wedding if you have acne, rosacea, or hyperpigmentation.
Don't stress about your skin for your wedding. There are treatments and products to help improve and control every skin condition from acne to hyperpigmentation and rosacea. Start treating your skin as soon as you are able to after you get engaged; ideally three to six months before the wedding. You may need to do a series of treatments, and most topical treatments take between four to eight weeks before you start seeing results. Three to six months will allow enough time for treatments and products to deliver the best results. At my Skin Health Experts Clinic, some of my clients even start prepping their skin a year in advance.
Keep reading to learn exactly how to get your skin in top shape, including products to use, treatments to try, and what to avoid.
10 Reasons Moms Drop Facebook Friends
Are you losing friends on Facebook, but you don't know why? Maybe you're a "vaguebooker." Maybe you share way too much information. Or could it be that you post so frequently that people can't stand you clogging up their Facebook feed? Here, moms share the top ways to go from friend to unfriended.
1. Swearing Too Much
Some people don't have a problem with profanity, but for others it's a deal breaker. Jennifer A. says she deletes friends if she sees more than two profanity-laced updates a week, while Desiree R. is so offended that she's even unfriended family members because of bad language!
2. Being a Competitive One-Upper
We all know these type of Facebook friends: the ones who always have to one-up your statuses. September W. says she can't stand it when people compete with status updates. Although she does admit she feels a little bad that they feel like they have to compete.
3. Acting Like a Drama Mama
Moms agree that being a drama queen - deliberately posting statuses just to cause drama - will get you unfriended faster than you can update your status. If you're stirring the pot to get your friends' attention, you're better off reaching out directly.
4. Posting Views That Make Other People Uncomfortable
Jane S. is clear about what types of views she won't tolerate. "I defriend people for making racist, sexist, or anti-any-whole-group statements," she says. Other moms, like Krista E., say a pet cause about which you post a "bazillion links" may not get you unfriended, but will get your posts hidden from the News Feed.
5. Oversharing Mundane Moments
Everyone has boring, mundane chores or errands to deal with, but your friends don't want constant updates about it. It may sound harsh, but Carol H. is probably saying what a lot of your friends are thinking: "I don't care that you are sitting in traffic. I don't care if you are at the dentist. I don't care that you are grocery shopping."
6. Complaining a Lot
You may not remember this Saturday Night Live sketch about a woman who always complained about everything, but hopefully you're not a Debbie Downer on Facebook. If so, then you're the person who Nikki S. says blames everyone else in the world for your shortcomings, something many people find really annoying.
7. Posting Vague Comments
This is one thing I absolutely won't tolerate from my Facebook friends. I'm of the opinion that if you have something to say, just say it. Circle of Moms member Lissa H. agrees. She says people who post vague, angry messages that hint at who it's about and then won't reveal more information need to stay quiet or deal with it privately.
8. Posting Too Much Information
Oversharing is something that is bound to lose you more than a few friends on Facebook. Moms almost unilaterally agree they don't need to know the intimate details of your life. As Becky F. so bluntly puts it, "We don't all need to know that you have wicked cramps today or that you pee when you cough or the details of your last sexual encounter."
9. Posting Too Frequently
Jurnee S. says she had to delete a friend who posted every move she made because the constant updates were filling up her News Feed. She's not alone. Another member named Nikki says, "It drives me crazy when people post something every three seconds. I usually end up hiding that person because it just becomes too much."
10. Using Facebook to Fight With a Spouse or Ex
Finally, readers Amber N. and Nikki S. point out that people having personal fights and airing dirty laundry on Facebook is cringeworthy, and Krista E. says it's just tacky. If you're willing to cross the line and make your friends spectators to your spectacular blowouts, don't be surprised if some of them leave the ring.
What You Need to Know About the Whole30 Diet
Tens of thousands of people have taken on the Whole30 program, a monthlong clean-eating program that promises a bevy of health and emotional benefits. Developed by Dallas and Melissa Hartwig, a husband-and-wife team with backgrounds in sports nutrition, anatomy, and physical therapy, the program aims to reset your metabolism and reshape your relationship with food.
After a co-worker read the essential Whole30 text, It Starts With Food, and took on the challenge, I was interested to see what all the hype surrounding this monthlong "diet" was really about.
What Can I Eat?
On the surface, the Whole30 menu looks a lot like the Paleo diet (low carb, high protein), but think of it more as an elimination diet, except there's no 80/20 balance either - no cheating, no indulgences for one month. For one month, it completely strips away "hormone-unbalancing, gut-disrupting, inflammatory food groups," considered to be grains, sugar, dairy, alcohol, and legumes. Equally as important as eliminating these groups is not to be tempted to "junkify" their old favorites - for example, a meaty "Paleo pizza" or "coconut-flour pancakes" are off-limits. For Whole30 participants, it's not about stretching the rules of the diet to their furthest limits. It's about learning to enjoy whole, clean, simple foods that fuel your body.
Things I Learned From Sabotaging My Whole30 Plan (and Why I'll Try It Again)
Power Breakfasts For Your Whole30 Diet
The Promises
The program promises a laundry list of potential benefits, such as improved body composition, higher energy levels, better quality of sleep, improved athletic performance, and a reduction of food cravings, particularly when it comes to sugar and carbs. Participants have chimed in with their testimonials, crediting the Whole30 program with everything from clearing up acid reflux to complete elimination of autoimmune disorders. Beyond the physical benefits, the Whole30 program aims to reshape "long-standing, unhealthy patterns related to food, eating and your body image."
The Verdict
While a rigid diet with no allowance for indulgences is not sustainable over time, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to push yourself for a month - sometimes drastic times call for drastic measures! The Whole30 program could be a good option for individuals looking to give themselves a healthy reset or discover what food sensitivities they might have. But before you sign on board, it's essential to read their book that outlines the program to make sure it's right for you.
Get a Glimpse of How Madly in Love Joel Madden Is With Nicole Richie
Joel Madden may have once had a reputation of being a bad boy due to his tattooed rocker image, but nonetheless, he is a devoted husband to his wife, Nicole Richie, and an amazing father to their children, Harlow and Sparrow. Joel and Nicole have been married for nearly six years now, and from the looks of it, he is still crazy in love with her. The Good Charlotte frontman constantly pays tribute to Nicole on Instagram, whether it's by posting a selfie from their date night at a basketball game, sending her a loving Mother's Day message, or simply gushing over much he loves her. Take a look at their sweetest posts, proving Joel is definitely a keeper.

Just How Much Coffee Is Too Much?
There are many benefits to drinking coffee every day - from disease-fighting antioxidants to improved memory and longevity - but when it comes to your caffeine habit, there really can be too much of a good thing.
Just how much caffeine is too much? For the average person, up to 300 mg of coffee a day, or two to four cups of the average brewed coffee, is a moderate amount that isn't harmful. But once you hit more than four cups, you may experience less-than-desirable side effects. Drinking more than 500 mg every day, in fact, can induce anxiety, insomnia, and muscle tremors and can even lead to increased heart rate and blood pressure, headaches, or digestion issues.
If you want to stay away from the caffeine jitters, then limiting yourself to under four cups of coffee per day is a perfectly reasonable plan. However, you may be surprised by how much caffeine is in your favorite caffeinated beverage; it can be much more than you think!
See how much caffeine is in your favorite drink.
| Drink | Amount of caffeine |
|---|---|
| Average 8-ounce cup of coffee | 95 mg |
| 8-ounce Short Starbucks coffee | 180 mg |
| 12-ounce Tall Starbucks coffee | 260 mg |
| 16-ounce Grande Starbucks coffee | 330 mg |
| 20-ounce Venti Starbucks coffee | 415 mg |
| 10-ounce small Dunkin' Donuts coffee | 105 mg |
| 14-ounce medium Dunkin' Donuts coffee | 178 mg |
| 20-ounce large Dunkin' Donuts coffee with Turbo Shot | 436 mg |
| 16-ounce large McDonald's coffee | 133 mg |
| Average 1-ounce espresso shot | 64 mg |
| 1-ounce Starbucks espresso shot | 75 mg |
| Average teaspoon of instant coffee | 31 mg |
| Average 8-ounce cup of black tea | 26 mg |
| Average 6-ounce cup of green tea | 20-30 mg |
Use this chart as a guide to see how much caffeine you're really consuming every day. Even if you enjoy two eight-ounce cups at Starbucks, for example, that's 360 mg of caffeine - 60 mg over the recommended limit. Also, remember that even though espresso-based drinks like lattes and cappuccinos contain less caffeine than brewed coffee, many drinks are made with at least two espresso shots, not one.

Snapchat Just Announced a New Product That Will Change Everything
Say goodbye to the Snapchat you once knew. Snapchat is now called Snap Inc., a move made to reflect that the company is no longer just an app. That's right - the company also announced a new product called Spectacles, sunglasses that can record video to upload to Snapchat's Memories section.
The company name change was announced in a blog post on Sept. 24 by Evan Spiegel, the CEO and co-founder. In the post, he writes that the name change was brought on by two reasons. First, the company is moving away from just enhancing Snapchat by creating a hardware product. And secondly, now anyone can search for new features and products specifically around Snapchat or Spectacles, as any business news will now refer to Snap Inc. "We hope this change will improve your experience with Snapchat and Spectacles, and create a structure that allows us to continue making great new products for you and your friends," wrote Spiegel. Most importantly, Snap Inc., is now a "camera company."
But let's get to the fun announcement. Spectacles is the company's first hardware product and one that looks super enticing. It's a pair of sunglasses, with a 115-degree angle lens, that with a single tap, you can record up to 10 seconds of video. Want more? Just tap again and now you can record up to 30 seconds of video. It will be available in three different colors (black, teal, and coral), reports the Wall Street Journal. Spectacles will also be "capable of taking a day's worth of snaps on a single charge," wrote the company in a blog post. You can transfer anything you record on Spectacles via Bluetooth or WiFi to Snapchat's memories section. With this device, the videos you choose to share on Snapchat will appear in a "circular video format." No need to worry about this format; everyone will be able to watch it, no matter what device or orientation their phone is in.
Spectacles will be available this Fall, in limited quantities and will cost $130, the company told us. Unlike the failed experiment of Google Glass (and its pricey cost), Spectacles may be something you start seeing your friends and even yourself buy and use. It's a device that isn't meant to be worn all the time and instead, something you save for a birthday party or a music festival.
Watch a video about Spectacles below and start saving your money now. You're going to want to get this.

DIY Your Own (Cheap!) Makeup Setting Spray With Just 2 Ingredients
Setting sprays have become a makeup bag essential, perfect for sealing foundation so that it stays in place and emphasizing the pigment in eye shadows and the like. However, they can get pricey. Thankfully, this new DIY is cutting through those costs to deliver an affordable setting spray option that still gets the job done.
Beauty vlogger Tonje of Fluke of Makeup recently shared her homemade formula that just takes two ingredients and a few minutes to make. While commercial setting sprays usually require special polymers, fragrant extracts, glycerin, and water, Tonje emphasizes that those last two ingredients are the most essential. The water adds moisture, and the glycerin acts as a glue that locks it (and your makeup!) into your skin.
You can re-create the spray by pouring four teaspoons of glycerin into an empty spray bottle and filling the rest up with water. In the video, Tonje adds a few spritzes of perfume to add a fragrance, however, we'd be wary of adding this into the mix as it could irritate your complexion. Instead, we recommend adding rosewater or a light essential oil if you'd like an added scent.

We're Already Planning Our Disney Street Style Star Halloween Costume
Most of us have channeled a Disney princess at least once in our lives. Maybe it was because you bought a turquoise embellished swimsuit reminiscent of Ariel's fins, or you wore a yellow statement dress to a wedding that looked just like Belle's ballgown. And don't even try to tell us you've never dressed as your favorite character for Halloween.
Though that may have been years ago, this Halloween, we're ready to take everyone's favorite princess looks to new heights. We're updating their wardrobes by shopping at all our favorite stores, and Ariel, Cinderella, Belle, and the rest of the gang are coming out looking just like street style stars - all with a little hair and makeup help from our friends at Beautini.
Read on to see how we elevated these bold looks using clothes we'll actually wear again, and get ready for a few head turns when you head out on Halloween. No, it's not because everyone's looking at your crown; they just want to know where you got your really cute clothes.
Why It's OK to Care About Celebrity News and "Real Issues" at the Same Time
We've all been there - you scroll through Facebook, you stumble upon an article, and before you can even click in to read and judge it for yourself, you spot it: the inevitable "Who cares?" sitting atop the list of comments like a harbinger of hostility. It's typically followed by an effusive reply: "You, since you took time to comment!," which feels like vindication but really just opens a whole new can of worms. This trifecta of passive aggression is finally rounded out with some variation of "This is news?," "Focus on the real issues!," or "There are more important things going on in the world right now."
This bothers me for a few reasons, none of which involve the fact that it's literally my job to care about and cover those so-called "unimportant" things. It is, of course, entirely possible to care about more than one thing at the same time. Our brains can process, store, and maintain an incredible amount of information; that's why you can walk and chew gum at the same time, or worry about world hunger while also wondering what you're going to eat for lunch that day. But this sentiment also implies that only hard, serious news is "important," and ignores the reality: that it's just really, really exhausting to be focused on the "real issues" all the time.
It implies that only hard, serious news is "important" and ignores the reality: that it's just really, really exhausting to be focused on the "real issues" all the time.
The past two years have been pretty rough, both mentally and emotionally, where the news is concerned: I personally am simultaneously stressed out about everyday life things like succeeding at work, paying bills on time, and maintaining personal relationships while also dealing with the added anxiety of mass shootings, police brutality, rape culture, natural disasters, and Donald Trump becoming president. On top of dealing with street harassment and the possibility of being hit by a Muni bus while walking in the city, I also have to consider the chances of my family members being racially profiled by police and my friends traveling abroad being caught in a terrorist attack. There are "real issues" that plague us every day in our families, our friend groups, our romantic relationships, and our neighborhoods. I'm well aware of the "real issues." I'm fully caught up on the "actual news." And like many other people, I'm f*cking drained.
That is precisely why, when a famous couple gets engaged or divorced, a superhot actor goes shirtless on the beach, or Beyoncé shares a cute photo of Blue Ivy on Instagram, we should let ourselves care about it. We should give ourselves (and each other) the freedom and space to get excited and express enthusiasm about celebrity news, because it offers a respite from all the completely depressing things going on - at least until another completely depressing thing happens.
As Cheryl Strayed once wrote: "There are so many things to be tortured about, sweet pea. So many torturous things in this life." Life isn't easy, and we all need something to help us through it. For some people, it's yoga and meditation; for others it's reading about all the women Leonardo DiCaprio has dated, poring over photos of Prince George, or watching the drama unfold between Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift. The best part is that there's room for all of it; you can support the Black Lives Matter movement while also hoping that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner get back together, and you can follow the presidential election with the same fervor as you follow Chrissy Teigen's Instagram account.
The next time somebody tries to make you feel bad for essentially taking a break from the "more important things going on in the world," calmly remind them that as a living, breathing, human person, you are fully capable of grasping both world news and pop culture headlines. When it comes to what you turn to for self-care (especially in trying times), you just need to do you. At the end of the day: who cares?

16 Reasons It Won't Be Strange When Millie Bobby Brown Takes Over the Fashion World
I knew it the moment I saw her walk onto the scene at Jimmy Fallon, decked out in a Burberry ensemble I wanted for myself: Millie Bobby Brown's about to take over the fashion world. Of course, it all started with her success on the new Netflix series Stranger Things. Millie proved she's got serious acting skills, and plenty of red carpet appearances followed.
She chose a tulle embroidered Red Valentino dress for the Emmys, and she's already sported the cool combination of a ballgown and sneakers. But for casual talk shows, Millie's in on the athleisure trend. Perhaps she's so stylish thanks to the front-row spot she nabbed at Coach during Fashion Week.
Millie's love for clothes and accessories runs deep, and we've got all the proof you need. Read on to see why the 12-year-old's about to make major waves in the industry, and follow her to keep tabs on where she heads next - and of course, what she's wearing.
Of All of Gigi's Runway Walks, This Is the One You Need to See
Gigi Hadid has comfortably entered supermodel territory. We knew that when she was cast in the major runway shows of Fashion Week nearly four seasons ago, and became a fashion fixture in designer campaigns, at industry events, and even collaborated with Tommy Hilfiger on her own collection. But, if there was ever any doubt in the minds of fashion fans, Gigi's walk at Bottega Veneta at Milan Fashion Week on Saturday just put it to rest. There on the catwalk for the label's 50th anniversary, Gigi and legendary supermodel Lauren Hutton walked hand in hand, giving us our favorite moment of Fashion Month thus far - and maybe, one of our favorite walks of all time. Clearly, it was a special moment for Gigi, too, who got emotional on Twitter.
Still holding back tears every time I think about it!!!!! Can't believe this happened today !!!!! 🙏🏼 #LAURENHUTTON @BottegaVeneta 💕 http://pic.twitter.com/bwexAG7TUc
- Gigi Hadid (@GiGiHadid) September 24, 2016
Read on to see Gigi and Lauren take the runway, proving with nearly 50 years between them, that beauty and grace come at every age.

While You Were Still in Your PJs, Michelle Obama Continued Her Unstoppable Style Streak
While you were probably still in your pajamas, sipping coffee, the First Lady joined President Obama for the dedication of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture on Saturday morning. Suffice it to say that while Michelle's days in the White House are numbered, she's spending them all in style. Read on for a look at the latest.
Your Clean-Eating Cheat Sheet For the Weekend
Having a healthy clean-eating weekend is a good idea for so many reasons. Sticking to a wholesome diet helps support your healthy goals, and you'll enter into Monday morning full of energy! Luckily, it doesn't have to be a confusing or hard endeavor. Follow these rules: you'll be good to go.
- Sip with a clean start: Make a cup of hot water with pH-balancing lemon juice part of your weekend morning ritual. As you hydrate with H2O, this warming, soothing drink will also aid healthy digestion.
- Cook at home: Eating out at restaurants should be a treat - not an every-meal occurrence. Cook at home this weekend to have complete control of the healthy ingredients going into every meal.
- Add produce to every meal: Bump up the nutritional value of every meal by always adding a helping of fruits and veggies. A fruit cup makes a great breakfast side, and every protein is better alongside a cup of greens.
- Say no to processed foods: Fast food, junk food, and other processed goods have got to go. If you can't pronounce an ingredient, try to avoid it this weekend.
- Keep carbs smart: Comforting staples like white bread, bagels, and pastries can result in your energy crashing through the day; support your digestion and energy levels with complex carbs.
- Don't hold out to eat: When you sit down to a meal famished, you're far more likely to overeat and overdrink - or eat whatever is in sight! Stay satisfied between meals with snacks so you don't skip out on your healthy goals.
- Skip the added sugar: Natural sugar from fruit is what you're looking for on a clean-eating plan; the white sugar that goes into baked goods or your supersweet coffee beverage is not.
- Keep snacks homemade: Plan ahead and prep a quality snack so there's no need to step into a convenience store.
- Give the booze a break: Skip the brunch full of mimosas or evening out with cocktails; booze is full of empty calories and tons of sugar, which can mess with all the hard work you put in with meal planning.
- Drink more water: One of the easiest ways to support any healthy weekend is to drink plenty of water. Keep your bottle full at all times to help rid your body of toxins and support healthy digestion.
- Kick out condiments: Ketchup, mayo, ranch dressing - whatever comforting condiment is your pick - keep it far away from a weekend of clean eats. Focus on enjoying fresh, natural flavors instead.
- Opt for organic: According to naturopath practitioner Dr. Holly Lucille, ND, RN, pesticides, herbicides, and hormones can "disrupt your endocrine system, [and] spur on weight gain and inflammation." Opting for organic goods makes steering clear of these chemicals a priority.
- Bring your own food: Eating clean doesn't mean you can't stay social! Just don't make it all about the food. Instead of meeting up at a bar or restaurant, spend time outside or at a friend's house where you can enjoy your clean food freely.
The First Photo Of Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo's Baby Girl Is Beyond Precious
Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo are officially proud parents of a beautiful baby girl! The Victoria's Secret model took to her Instagram account to introduce her first child, Dusty Rose Levine, to the world (of social media!) with a sweet black-and-white snapshot. In the heartwarming photo, Dusty Rose is pictured cradled on her dad's chest. "Words can't describe," Behati wrote.
While this baby's debut was a low-key one, for a long time running, it seemed People had a monopoly on introductory celebrity baby photos. Nicole Richie, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, and the Jolie-Pitts all turned to the well-established magazine to show off their newest family members. However, today, many celebs are turning to competitors who are doling out generous offerings to new parents. Others like Kim Kardashian are releasing their own photos - either on their own or through photo agencies - to bypass the whole magazine scenario.

Get Everyone Excited For Halloween With This Fun DIY Halloween Countdown Board
The following post was originally featured on Lolly Jane and was written by sisters Kelli M. and Kristi J., who are part of POPSUGAR Select Moms.
Halloween already?! Heck yes! We've busted out our first spooky project of the season, a DIY Halloween Countdown Board, and seriously love it! We shared the DIY with our fave duo of sisters at Eighteen25 during their month long Spooktacular September series and by popular demand, are now sharing both the printable version AND the VE/JPG file if you want to make your own board with a vinyl cutter. Yay!
This is sure to get you in the spooky mood and also help stop your littles from asking how many more days until it's time for CANDY! :D
To get started you'll need a handful of crafts + household items you may already have lying around!
Supplies:
- 3′ x 1′ Board
- Vinyl stencil (we used our industrial cutter to design/cut)
- 5 spooky hues of acrylic paint:
- Orange, green, black, purple, white
- Paintbrush (We used a sweet BB Frosch brush + cheapie foam)
- Mouse Traps x2
Free files for Vinyl Cutter::
- VE/JPG or PDF
- Click the link that will open a new window. Right-click to save then upload into your vinyl program of choice. ;)
Please note that these files are for personal use only and not to be sold for profit. Thanks for being respectful of our time that goes into designing these FREE files for your personal enjoyment! ;)
Instructions:
- First, paint your wood white. Remove the bottom hardware from the mouse trap (the long metal piece) and paint white again over the wood + remaining hardware.
- Using washi tape, tape off stripes over the mouse traps then paint over the washi tape in black.
- Apply your vinyl over the board and fill in the stencil with Halloween acrylic colors. (We removed the vinyl stencil and sanded the board down a bit to give it the distressed look we love so much.) Hot glue the mouse traps to the board in between the brackets and hang the letters from the mouse trap clips. (We have the numbers 0-9 for FREE from our Chalkboard Calendar post.)
- Once done, place on your porch and (optional) pair with foam or real pumpkins.
We have our DIY Witch Broomstick in the mix too and love the coordinating colors!
Isn't that framed skeleton silhouette we used on our Vintage Halloween Mantel hung from the door so cute? It adds a bit of spook to the whole setup. :)

These Pictures of Simone Biles and the Pretty Little Liars Cast Deserve an A+
It looks like Simone Biles might be a bigger Pretty Little Liars fan than we are. On Friday, the Olympic gold-medalist visited the show's set in LA, and judging by the pictures, it looks like she had an A-mazing time. "PRETTY LITTLE LIARS! thank you guys for letting me see the set today!" the 19-year-old captioned a photo of her and the cast doing their signature pose on Instagram.
The show first reached out to the gymnast back in August when showrunner, Marlene King, invited her and the rest of the Final Five to swing by set. Of course, this cute outing isn't the first time Simone has fangirled over celebrities. Not only did she meet her longtime crush, Zac Efron, during the Rio Olympics, but she later surprised Channing Tatum on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

How 1 Woman Transformed Her Diet in Order to Save Her Life
In 2007, a mere two months after graduating from college and marrying my high school sweetheart, I found myself in the emergency room suffering from unbearable pain in my abdomen, heavy bleeding, and a slew of other digestive complications. Until then, I had been a perfectly healthy young woman, with no family history of digestive disorders and only the occasional upset stomach as a child. The hospital discharged me without a diagnosis and prescribed medication that ultimately intensified my symptoms.
A few agonizing weeks, multiple specialists, and one lengthy hospital admittance later, I was finally given a diagnosis of ulcerative colitis - an incurable autoimmune disease similar to Crohn's disease. The prospect of living the rest of my life, through careers, motherhood, and grandchildren, with an irreversible illness was an extremely disheartening prognosis and left me feeling hopeless and alone. I had always dreamt of being a wife and a mom, and those dreams seemed to be crashing down around me. I was ushered out of the hospital with very little information as to what the disease was, how it was caused, the symptoms, or the forms of relief. I was not aware of the inexplicable episodes that were to come, which I now know as flare-ups. I also was not aware of the drastic side effects that the medications would begin to cause.
About six months later, while on a humanitarian trip with my husband, I found myself in a hospital room in Kampala, Uganda, pleading for my life as I lay precariously near death. I was racked with debilitating pain that forced me into a wheelchair, became severely anemic, and dropped 20 pounds in 10 days. I was administered a daily dose of intravenous steroids, which provoked more side effects than the symptoms they were intended to mitigate. After a weeklong stay in the two-room hospital, the doctors concluded that the 36-hour journey back to the US for a blood transfusion was imperative.
Cervical Cancer Survivor Lost 150 Pounds, Says "Cancer Helped Me Get Healthy"
This Inspiring Trainer Is Kicking Crohn's Butt and Taking Charge of Her Health
That episode was the first of many that landed me in hospitals over and over again and launched me into a world of harsh drug therapies that only exacerbated my condition. When my oldest son was just nine months old, I had an extreme flare-up that caused me to be hospitalized for 14 days and require multiple blood transfusions, and it debilitated me for nearly four months. It was the darkest point of my life thus far and still conjures a flood of emotion when I recall it. My son was not allowed to visit me in the hospital, and there were many times when I was at home in bed that I had to turn him away because I was too sick or exhausted to entertain him.
We all have a revelatory moment in our lives right before committing to an extreme lifestyle alteration. That was my moment, the point in my life when I realized that being incapacitated for months at a time was not an option now that I had a helpless life relying on me to care for him. There was a tiny human being who needed his mother, and during that final hospital stay I made the commitment to always be there for him. Left with a choice between major surgery and lifelong frequent IV treatments with harsh side effects, I began my own research to explore other options, and my diet was the first to change. Although no doctor would suggest, or even support, dietary change as a part of my treatment, I realized that I had to take things into my own hands to achieve real results.
I started working with a naturopath and began eliminating food groups that are often common triggers for some, including all grains, dairy, refined sugar, and legumes, following a plan very similar to the Paleo diet. She also suggested eliminating eggs, nuts, and nightshades for a period of time until I had recovered, and prescribed supplements to replenish the lacking nutrients and heal my gut. After seeing dramatic progress after just 48 hours, I committed to the diet wholeheartedly. It took a couple of years to heal fully, but I can proudly say that I haven't been hospitalized since 2011, have weaned off of the harsh medications, and avoided surgery and immunosuppressants.
It can be hard at times to stick to it, but what keeps me pressing onward is the knowledge that the Paleo diet allowed for such a drastic personal health transformation and how much it is benefiting those that follow it. Because of this, I dedicate my days to creating delicious comfort foods that can be enjoyed on a restricted diet and, in an attempt to ensure that no one else would have to feel as alone or lost as I did, decided to share my story and recipes on my blog, Against All Grain, and in my cookbooks Against All Grain and Meals Made Simple.
A Paleo diet has not only given me back my health, but it's allowed me to be present as a mom and wife, and given me the opportunity to impact the hundreds of thousands of people who have bought my books and read my blog. I never would have imagined, while lying in countless hospital beds, that everything I went through could be used to help bring hope to so many people. As unbearable as it was, Ryan and I both agree now that we would not change any of it for the world. To be useful in such an impactful way, and out of such misfortune, is one of the most rewarding experiences I will ever have.
For a more in-depth look at my entire journey to health, visit my blog, Against All Grain.
