Demi Lovato Stands Up For Gender Equality With 1 Powerful Performance
Demi Lovato totally delivered on her last-minute headlining gig at this year's Global Citizen Festival in New York City on Sept. 24.
The "Body Say" singer has been outspoken about her support for LGBTQ rights, even canceling tour dates in North Carolina after an oppressive "bathroom law" was passed, so it's no wonder she used her time on stage to advocate for gender equality in the best way possible, as in, with a cover of Aretha Franklin's iconic song "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman."
"Thank you global citizens, especially all of you who are working toward the goal of gender equality and standing up for women and girls everywhere. This next song is inspired and it [has been] lifting up women for years, even since before I was born, and it still does," Demi told the audience before announcing her timely song choice and unleashing her always-amazing vocals. Why This Viral Video Is Convincing People to Drill Holes Into Their Brand-New iPhones
A new viral video is convincing people to drill holes into their brand-new iPhone 7 with the promise that a secret headphone port lies beneath the surface. It's definitely a prank, though it's understandable why some people don't think it is, since it uses a tech tutorial format.
The "tutorial" claims that you can re-create the iPhone's usual headphone port by simply drilling a small hole in the same location to the left of the lightning port.
By the end of the video, the finished product doesn't look the slightest bit polished. However, the fake demonstration at the end was enough for people to quickly follow suit and try it for themselves. Naturally, it didn't work and ended up ruining people's phones.
The video currently has over 10 million views. Thankfully, the comments are now more populated with people who realize that it is, in fact, a joke. Seriously - don't try it. AirPods cost a whole lot less than a new phone.

Some People Are Not Happy About Their Pottermore Patronus Results
Pottermore's highly anticipated Patronus quiz is evoking some difficult emotions for people, and it's only existed for a short time. The quiz, which reveals who your protective animal guardian is in the Harry Potter universe, gives out varied results from the cool - dolphins, dragons, foxes - to the bizarre, like salmon.
Evanna Lynch, the actress who played Luna Lovegood in the movies, was particularly upset when she found out that her Patronus is a salmon. Like many, Evanna retook the quiz after initially getting a greyhound and has since been stuck with a salmon. (Although Pottermore users are unable to retake the quiz, many are doing so by signing up with different email accounts.)
Look ahead for Evanna's hilarious rant, as well as other reactions from people who were pretty upset about their results.
Robin Williams's Widow Pens an Essay About His Final Months, and It Will Destroy You
It's been two years since Robin Williams passed away, and his widow, Susan Williams, is working hard to raise awareness about Lewy Body Disease, the brain disease that led to the actor's tragic death. On Sept. 27, Susan wrote a piece for the medical journal Neurology entitled "The Terrorist Inside My Husband's Brain." In the essay, she talks about her husband's final months and how he struggled with several symptoms that didn't fit one diagnosis, writing, "By wintertime, problems with paranoia, delusions and looping, insomnia, memory, and high cortisol levels-just to name a few-were settling in hard . . . Psychotherapy and other medical help was becoming a constant in trying to manage and solve these seemingly disparate conditions."
She then recalls their final day together and how it gave her hope that his health was improving, revealing, "As the second weekend in August approached, it seemed his delusional looping was calming down. Maybe the switch in medications was working. We did all the things we love on Saturday day and into the evening, it was perfect-like one long date. By the end of Sunday, I was feeling that he was getting better. When we retired for sleep, in our customary way, my husband said to me, 'Goodnight, my love,' and waited for my familiar reply: 'Goodnight, my love.' His words still echo through my heart today."
Susan concludes the essay by thanking the doctors, neurologists, and scientists who continue to research and spread awareness of Lewy Body Disease, penning, "Thank you for what you have done, and for what you are about to do."

If You've Ever Gone Low-Carb, This Will Make You Laugh (or Cry Your Eyes Out)
Swearing off carbs like pasta, bread, cake, cookies, and even fruit can help you slim down fast. But not only is this diet completely unsustainable, it also sucks more than dropping a freshly buttered piece of warm bread face down on the floor. If you've ever given up carbs, or you refuse to because they make life worth living, you'll totally relate to these Instagram pics.
What We Learned From 9 Days in the NICU
Our daughter, Juliet, was born by emergency C-section in May of last year. She was exactly one month early, and though her organs were fully developed, a combination of my preeclampsia and her early arrival made her small: 4 pounds 1 ounce to be precise.
Apart from the fact that I got pregnant quickly and easily - something I feel lucky about, especially considering that my wife and I are lesbian moms - nothing about my birth went as planned. I thought I'd follow in my family's tradition of out-of-hospital births with midwives, but shortly after transferring prenatal care to our local birth center, my beloved midwife was walking me to the triage unit of the hospital because my blood pressure was dangerously high. Two weeks after being admitted, when it became time to induce labor, our baby's heart rate dropped and I was rushed to the OR.
Of everything that went wrong during my pregnancy and birth, the separation from my daughter was the hardest. As I was recovering from surgery with concerns for my health still high, Juliet was in an incubator in another wing of the hospital. The sight of the empty bassinet in my room made me cry. I longed to be close to her.
But over our nine days in the NICU, we learned how to make the most of the experience.
Of the NICU parents, we were among the lucky. It was never a question of whether Juliet would come home, only when. We got to touch her, change her diapers, hold her. Our hospital advocated for skin-to-skin contact as a way of parent/child bonding, so we spent many hours each day with the curtain drawn around the incubator and rocking chair, holding our tiny daughter to our bare chests.
Our time in the hospital was fraught with worries, but when Juliet was sleeping on my chest or in my arms it was almost possible to ignore all the cords attached to her, to tune out the beeping of machines and the voices of strangers, to be at peace with the fact that we couldn't take her home yet.
Every two hours, I spent time pumping in a small, semiprivate room. I was exhausted and discouraged. My milk was coming in too slowly. I wanted to be closer to my baby. I eventually learned that turning off the lights, closing the door, and listening to music on my headphones made me feel less frustrated and more like myself. It was one small way to carve out a solitary space, and in it I allowed myself to rest.
The silver lining of being in the hospital was that so many people were there to help us. Many preemies have trouble breastfeeding right away, and Juliet was no exception. Every day I spent time with a lactation consultant to work on strategies and interim steps. Though my wife and I were comfortable with babies, the little ones in our lives now looked gigantic in comparison to our own. Suddenly we were clueless about the most basic skills: how to change a diaper, how to give a bottle, how to keep her warm, how to hold her. We learned to ask the nurses questions and to accept their guidance. We learned that even though it was painful, the NICU gave us many gifts, and by the time we finally got to take Juliet home, we really knew her. She had already grown so much over her first nine days in the world, and we had, too.

Ben Affleck on What It's Like Being a Father: "You Feel So Vulnerable"
Ben Affleck is currently promoting his latest project, The Accountant, and during a press conference on Friday, the actor revealed that his kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, have yet to watch his films. "They're like, 'When do you do a movie we can see?' They just want to know what the rating is. [I'm like] 'You can see this when you're 25,'" he said.
In the movie, which hits theaters on Oct. 14, Ben plays a math genius who struggles with autism and has a strict father who pushes him to fight his way out of conflict. Ben admitted that the character's parenting style struck a chord with him, adding, "That's what I thought was the most heartbreaking thing about the story and it was definitely moving to me as a parent. I face dilemmas that we all do everyday about what's the right way to raise children, what's the right thing to teach them? Every moment there comes a crossroad." He also said that he does his best to make the right choices for his children, telling reporters, "When you have kids, what's that expression, 'Your heart is outside your body,' all of the sudden you feel so vulnerable and this fear of a child being vulnerable is very very powerful . . . It's not easy."
Recall Alert: These Popular Chicken Nuggets May Contain Plastic
Tyson Foods is announcing the recall of more than 130,000 pounds of two of its popular chicken nuggets after extraneous hard plastic materials were found in some.
The recalled products include a five-pound bag of Tyson Fully Cooked Panko Chicken Nuggets sold at Costco since July 2016 and a 20-pound package of Spare Time brand Fully Cooked, Panko Chicken Nugget Shaped Chicken Breast Pattie Fritters With Rib Meat distributed to a wholesaler in Pennsylvania. Both products have a use-by date of July 18, 2017, and an establishment number of "EST P-13556" printed adjacent to the "Best If Used By" date on the back of the package.
The recall comes after customers reported finding "foreign material" in a chicken nugget product. "According to Tyson Foods, the plastic material ranged in size from 21mm in length and 6.5mm in diameter and may have come from a round, hard plastic rod used to connect a plastic transfer belt," the USDA said in a statement. "The firm said the products pass through a metal detector, but the plastic is not detectable to this technology."
Though there have been no reports of adverse reactions or injuries by children who consumed the nuggets, Tyson is urging customers who have the affected boxes to throw them out or return them to their place of purchase for a full refund. Anyone with additional concerns should reach out to the company directly at 866-328-3156 or email comments@tyson.com.

13 Times Keri Russell Oozed Cool, Laid-Back City Girl
It's been a long time since Keri Russell's Felicity days, but the actress is still traipsing around New York City like a breath of fresh air. These days, though, Keri primarily hangs in Brooklyn with her family: her boyfriend and The Americans costar, Matthew Rhys; their newborn baby boy, Sam; and Keri's daughter, Willa, and son, River, from her previous marriage to Shane Deary. Besides being a total fashion inspiration and bringing her sartorial excellence to the red carpet, Keri also happens to be a down-to-earth borough babe - she's often spotted riding her bike around town like any other normal, cool city girl and has been photographed doing the school drop-off, schlepping paint samples while pregnant, and picking up beer on a hot Summer day. We're paying homage to Keri's low-profile Brooklyn lifestyle and rounding up all the times she made us proud to be city girls, too.

Alton Brown Reveals the Key Ingredients to Making His Kale Salad Anything But Basic
On Sept. 27, Alton Brown released EveryDayCook ($35), his first cookbook in five years, and after stopping by TODAY to make his Not-Just-Another-Kale-Salad recipe, we can tell it was well worth the wait. Brown's recipe uses quick-preserved lemons and crispy chickpeas for a tangy twist on your usual salad mix. The recipe also calls for, gulp, anchovies, but he says, "Stop it! I know what you're thinking, and yes, you need them and no, the salad won't taste fishy and you must trust me on this." Fine, we're trusting him!
We thought we'd seen it all from the kale salad - topped with strawberries, cheesy breadcrumbs, and even Flamin' Hot Cheetos - but Brown proves we just need to perfect the basics to make the kale salad special. We never thought we'd say this, but we're craving some kale right now.
Queen Rania's Ruffled Top Is the No-Fail Way to Dress Up Jeans
Not all royals rock shift dresses at important events. Some, like Queen Rania of Jordan, opt for a good ol' pair of jeans, making sure to style them in such a way that they appear elevated instead of casual. On stage at the Global Citizen Festival 2016, Rania showed off a belted, ruffled, and slightly sheer white top, which she wore with classic flares. The combination created an on-trend yet polished look and immediately made us covet a similar shirt style for ourselves. See how Rania revamped her laid-back pants, then shop a top to master this trend yourself.
11 Examples of the "Huh Challenge" That Will Make You Shake Your Head
The teens are back at it again with a new challenge, and this one is all about bringing up your friends' embarrassing traits. The "huh challenge" involves filming yourself roasting your friend about something they wear, something they do, and anything else and ending with a high-pitched "huh."
The challenge was started by Daniel Babar, a Twitter user who posted a video of him making fun of his friends on Sept. 12. His tweet has more than 47,000 "likes" and 35,000 retweets. People are now making these videos about their friends, their family, and even their pets.
However, many Twitter users have pointed out that some of these videos are promoting bullying or worse, using offensive language that isn't funny at all.
Why is the #huhchallenge going viral?? Like I didn't realize being rude to someone and humiliating them online was soooooo funny 😒😒
- Lil Ging (@masonlamarand14) September 23, 2016
With this in mind, if you decide to participate, keep it friendly, and instead of berating someone you love, celebrate them with the huh challenge. Take a look at some examples ahead of what the huh challenge is.

This Customer Absolutely Lost It and Destroyed a Lot of iPhones
Sometimes, customer service isn't the best and you can't help but get so angry. That's the partial story behind a man in France who walked into an Apple Store and smashed up a bunch of iPhones, causing thousands of dollars in damage.
The man walked into an Apple Store in Dijon, France, and started taking the iPhones off stands and smashing them up with a "heavy steel ball used for the popular game in French game of Boules," reported 9to5Mac. You can watch a video of the madness both above and below, with a tweet from Twitter user, Quentin_IOS.
Un mec détruit un Apple Store avec une boule de pétanque PARTIE 3 http://pic.twitter.com/JGd9Ehc9IV
- Qυεηтιη (@Quentin_IOS) September 29, 2016
Did that sound make you cringe? It's pretty much the sound I hear every day when I drop my iPhone on the ground and pray it didn't crack. At one point, the man says, "Apple is a company that violated European consumers' rights. They refused to reimburse me, I told them: 'Give me my money back.' They said no. So you know what's happening? This is happening!" according to Mashable. 9to5Mac further reports that the man was eventually taken out of the store and almost fled mall security but didn't manage to do it before being taken into custody.
The lesson here? The people who work in the store aren't totally responsible for whatever Apple might've done as a company and it's not fair to take it out on the staff and their workplace.
3 (Free!) Ways Your Phone Can Help You Get Fit
Getting fit doesn't have to be impossible. You don't need to follow overly complex programs. You don't have to have the knowledge of a registered dietitian. You also shouldn't be forced to spend countless dollars on gimmicks that make a lot of promises but deliver very little to you. All you really need is effort and a little help from the one thing that's by your side 24/7. With just your smartphone you can get fitter than you'd expect without having to download a single thing. Bonus: no apps to buy, no trainers in your ear buds shouting at you and no ridiculous straps or wearables to fumble with and spend more money on. Just you, your phone and some effort. Are you ready?
1. Keeping Track
Let's get a little sophisticated and implement some forethought into your health and fitness plan. Using your note function on Sunday night, write down what you expect to eat and what your goals are for Monday. On Monday night, go back and compare your actual performance in the gym and the kitchen with your plan. This makes you more accountable and gives you just the right kick in the pants to be better on Tuesday (and every day after). Science backs this as well: A study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine found that subjects ate better by journaling their food. But you won't need a notebook. Just use the notes feature (but open a new one because that old one where you composed a sternly worded email to Bernice in accounting is better left alone).

2. Take a Selfie (and Another and Another . . .)
OK, everyone's probably taken a selfie at some point. This is a little different. Your task: Take two selfies at the gym (one before and another after your session). You may not love what you see in the first image (we're all way too critical but just do it, trust me), but the second will show the effort, sweat, and afterglow of a workout that will spur you on for more tomorrow and thereafter. Bonus: After a few weeks, this is going to be your flip book of progress showing off all your results. If a regular selfie doesn't cut it for you, consider upping your game with a cool case that lights up on the face like Snaplight. It'll ensure that you see every drop of sweat after each session and all the improvements on your body as your progress! In the end, nothing will make you want to workout more than knowing it's working, so your cellphone selfies are your true secret weapon. Don't believe us? Check out Justine McCabe, who lost an impressive 125 pounds using this method!

3. Set Some Alarms
Who doesn't use the alarm function on their phones? We can't think of anyone. What you probably don't use is the label for each alarm you set. Your task here is to set alarms for every fitness and nutrition goal throughout the day. It'll keep you on track and motivate you to follow your plan. You won't skip necessary healthy snacks, which means you won't indulge in fatty fillers when you're starving (because if you timed it right, you'll never be starving). You'll remember to drink plenty of water because your notes will be labeled appropriately ("You should have had two bottles of water by now so keep sipping!"). You'll also never skip a workout because your alarms will go off reminding you to get ready, get in there and get working ("Get your gear on!" "Are you at the gym yet?" "Ready to lift yet?" "Time to sweat it off!"). Sure you could snooze on these alarms like you do in the morning but with the accompanying orders that came directly from you, we're counting on the fact that there's no way you'll let yourself down!
Huma Abedin Stands Behind Hillary Clinton, but Her Style Is Unmissable
Huma Abedin is a well-known politician who has backed Hillary Clinton since 2008, though she was hired as her intern in 1996. Now, she serves as vice chairwoman of Hillary's campaign and makes many appearances alongside the Democratic nominee. While Huma could keep her wardrobe to neutral shifts and black pumps, she's had plenty of time to experiment. Keeping things plain is not her cup of tea.
Huma is one of those leaders who commands attention. She rarely repeats an outfit and is always fully accessorized from head to toe. When she's on the red carpet, like at the White House Correspondents' Dinner or the Met Gala, she selects designer pieces that speak to her unique style - it's polished but colorful and rarely without a flash of metallics.
For her wedding to former Congressman Anthony Weiner, Huma wore a gilded Oscar de la Renta gown that made the fashion world stir. The pair have since separated, but an image of Huma in her embellished cap-sleeve dress will always live on in our minds. That, and the 22 bold style notes we're taking from her. Read on to see why whenever Hillary's around, we look for the sophisticated lady standing behind her.

But with Google's newest app, Google Trips, planning any travel should get infinitely easier.
Google Trips, available for free on both Android and iOS, is an app that will plan and store your entire trip. Pulling information from your email, it will keep your reservations handy, let you know of the top activities to do, recommend specific dishes and restaurants to eat at, detail how and what to use to get around with public transportation, and a lot more - and that's just information you get based on where you're going.
If you want to get even more specific and figure out every detail, Google Trips will provide a ready-made itinerary (note: this only applies to the "top 200 cities of the world"). You can pick from a full day, morning, or afternoon schedule, as well as choose the day of the week (helpful in case an attraction is closed on certain days). Want to start your day somewhere specific? You can pin that point and the app will suggest a new array of activities to do based on that information. You can also save other places you're interested in seeing.
Combine this app with Google Destinations, the company's research and booking experience that provides itineraries, flight prices, and more, and every vacation should no longer be stressful. See screenshots of the app ahead, but warning: you might never want to plan another trip again without it.
18 Selena Gomez Bikinigrams That Prove She's Definitely a 10
If there's one thing we love about Selena Gomez, it's that she's always game to show off her stylish swimsuits. After all, she's hot and she knows it. In fact, when the star called the TJ Show and was asked to rate her hotness on a scale from one to 10, she said, "On a good day, I would say - like a premiere day - I would be a good nine. And then, on my every day, I feel like a six. Gosh, that sounds so bad! I feel like a six or a seven."
But from the look of Selena's sun-kissed bikinigrams, for which she changes her style based on the prints, colors, and cuts of her suit, we'd say she's a definite 10 - even when she's on the beach with no makeup on. Scroll to find 18 times Selena proved she can work a swimsuit like it's nobody's business.
1 Little Boy Is Legitimately Terrified of This Donald Trump Halloween Mask
Sometimes the creepiest Halloween costumes have absolutely nothing to do with goblins and ghosts. One little boy learned this lesson the hard way when his parents were brainstorming costume ideas for him and his twin sister. They came across Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump masks, which they thought would make a hysterical theme for the tots, but Miles didn't see the humor. The terrified child had a HUGE reaction when faced with the Trump mask, and his mom, Mary Simms, shared a video of his major "#TrumpTrantrum." Miles was immediately brought to tears, and his sheer terror proves just how scary politics can be!
This Lebanese Bride's Custom Wedding Dress Was So Magical, It Got Its Own Hashtag
Dana Wolley is a fashion influencer located in the Middle East, and she's got quite the eclectic taste. You can imagine, then, that her wedding dress was not typical. In fact, Dana didn't just have one gown, but three special pieces that she wore for various ceremonies when she married Samer Zayat. The couple's nuptials took place this past Summer, but Dana just 'grammed a throwback photo that reminded us how magical her Esposa Prive silhouette was. It wasn't white, but a champagne shade that was covered in ornate beading and complemented by Mouawad jewels.
Dana danced the night away in Nicholas Kirkwood platforms that she called "the most comfortable bridal shoe ever." Needless to say, we'd sacrifice a little comfort for a heel complete with a genuine hand-picked pearl too. As unique as all the little details might be, we were struck most by the process of designing a dress from start to finish, which Dana documented on Instagram. Read on to see how she finally arrived at her majestic look, and check out the other outfits she slipped into before the reception even began.
The Cast of Younger Reveals The Craziest Things They've Ever Done in NYC
Season three of Younger premiered this week, and with it came a whole new wave of obsession for the killer cast. Hilary Duff, Sutton Foster, Nico Tortorella, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Molly Bernard, and Peter Hermann play the hilarious and witty main characters, and POPSUGAR recently sat down with the stars to talk all things season three, their craziest NYC stories, and lying about their ages.
POPSUGAR: New York City is its own character on the show. What's the craziest thing you've ever done here?
Nico Tortorella: I got a public urination ticket once. I don't think I ever paid it, so if I got pulled over, there might be a situation. It was two years ago, right outside of my house. I ripped it up - I don't remember any of this - apparently, I ripped up the ticket and threw it at the cop and went upstairs.
Miriam Shor: I went to a bar once, a great bar. I thought, "I'm going to go into the bathroom and just take a rest. A quick rest. I'll come right out!" Maybe it took me longer than I thought. I may have snoozed a little. In that interim, when I came out, the bar was closed. You want people to still be there, the lights shouldn't be off, and the bar stools shouldn't be on the table. It's one thing to close the joint, but to be in the joint after it's closed is another. I just remember being like, "That was a poor choice, but this is going to be a good story."
Debi Mazar: Oh my God, I'm a New Yorker. I lived the disco era and the era of when things were not judged. There was no social media, no selfies, no pictures taken. I've kind of done it all. It's not really just one incident. This is where I grew up, and I learned everything in the streets. I'm watching The Get Down right now, and I was there at some of those dance halls up in the Bronx River Houses and stuff like that. I've done a lot of things that are probably embarrassing. You have to learn from your mistakes, so I have no regrets. I'm still here.
Molly Bernard: I once broke into an apartment building and had a lot of fun on a roof and stayed there until the sun rose and then snuck out through the service entrance of the building. That was pretty wild. I'm also a cyclist, so I bike all over the city. I once stayed up all night biking. I biked over every bridge that connects to Manhattan.
Hilary Duff: I'm such a neurotic! I don't know. I can't think of anything.
PS: Since lying about your age is a huge theme on the show, what's one question you would ask someone if you were a bouncer at a club and wanted to trip them up?
NT: "What sign are you?" Or asking them the main street in the town they're from.
MS: "Who is your senator?" No, I don't know. I'm also just like, "Who cares?" Just let them in! Unless they're 12, in that case, "Have you gotten your period? You cannot come into this club until you've become a full-grown woman. Have you started shaving yet? Get out of here." DM: Ironically, I have been a bouncer at a club. It was called The Roxy, and it was a roller rink. I used to have to tell huge dudes that they couldn't smoke or drink on the roller rink floor. But to trip somebody up, I could ask them about a song dated back to a certain time or a commercial that I might have seen that was about pop culture.
MB: I'd be like, "What's your apartment number?"
HD: "What year were you born?"
Sutton Foster: Oh god, I'm too old to do the math. I've seen girls who are like, 13, and I think that they're 25. It's just completely different. I'm like, "How old are you? What are you wearing? Who let you out of the house like that?" I would fail. I'd be like, "Oh, just go in."
PS: What advice would you give to your younger self?
DM: Don't smoke, and save your money.
HD: I guess just be bold, and that everything's going to be OK. If you're bold, obviously don't be reckless, but be bold because I think a lot of people get older and have regrets that they didn't do what they wanted. It's easy because it's scary to fail, and the older you get, the more you put yourself out there, the harder the fail's going to look. Just be bold.
MB: Just to calm down, and that there's no rush to have it all together.
MS: Stop being so self critical, because it can stop you from being really creative. The younger generation now feels legitimate about having a voice in a way that my generation, which is only one removed, doesn't have, which is really exciting. Especially young women. They have a voice and don't feel apologetic about speaking up. That's something I feel like, in my 20s, I would have been like, "Your voice is just as important. Think about what you're saying. You get a place at the table. Don't be ashamed, don't be afraid, and don't apologize."
Peter Hermann: Do everything. You have time. Time behaves differently than you're convinced it does now.
PS: Season two ended with that crazy twist of Thad's death. What was your reaction to that?
MS: It was real intense. We got the scripts when we were at work and we were like, "Ohhhhh my God" from different areas. We were like, "Game of Thrones isn't the only one, alright. Welcome to OUR red wedding."
HD: It was crazy. But Kelsey doesn't really break down, because she didn't really want to be with him. This is terrible to say, but I'm not sure how deep she is. I think that she has her priorities straight, which is she likes having a good time, but she's super career driven. She wants it all to look good, but maybe she just hasn't met the right person yet that brings that out in her. It definitely wasn't Thad, but Thad was the person she was told she was supposed to be with because he's successful, he's good looking, he might have come from the right family. That was her thing.
Chris Hemsworth Just Needs to Stretch, Nothing to See Here
On Thirsty Thursday, Chris Hemsworth prepared to board a plane in Australia. Before he got on, though, something miraculous happened: he took a few minutes to . . . stretch. We're used to having feelings for the actor. After all, he's sexy as hell, and he's a great dad and a loving husband. It's just nice to see a different, um, side of him. You know?
9 Doctors Who Have Redefined "Sexy" on Grey's Anatomy
Only nine? How is that possible? Grey's Anatomy is full of beautiful people! It's true, there hasn't been one unattractive person who's worked at that hospital. It's sickening. For this post, we're going to be looking at the male doctors, and we've managed to narrow it down. So, out of all the hot male doctors (aka nearly all of them), here are our top nine. Enjoy!
This Is How All Your Favorite Chefs Make Chicken Breasts
It's no secret that boneless, skinless chicken breasts aren't the most exciting ingredient, but they're certainly one of the most popular among home cooks. If you're feeling totally uninspired by your usual chicken recipes, allow these chef-approved tips to get you out of your rut. Here's how some of the best Food Network personalities and more of our favorite celebrity cooks transform their chicken breasts.
Alton Brown: Pounded Thin
Alton Brown's recipe is for chicken kiev, a popular dish that involves pounding the chicken breasts thin before stuffing them with herbed butter, coating them in breadcrumbs, and frying them. Alton's pro tip is to refrigerate the rolled-up, stuffed chicken breasts for at least an hour so they stay intact while being fried, so you don't have to worry about pesky butcher's twine.
Ina Garten: Lemon on Lemon
Ina's lemon chicken breasts recipe has a five-star rating out of more than 600 reviews, and it's easy to see why. She makes sure there's maximum lemon flavor by baking the chicken breasts with plenty of zest, juice, and wedges.
Chrissy Teigen: With a Brick
Yes, an actual brick. Once you try the technique in Chrissy Teigen's brick chicken recipe, you might never go back.
Rachael Ray: Spinach and Mushroom Stuffed
Rachael Ray's spinach- and mushroom-stuffed chicken is further proof that stuffing your food is always a good idea. A filling made of spinach, mushrooms, ricotta, parmesan, and garlic results in chicken that's anything but bland.
Giada De Laurentiis: Piccata
Giada's foolproof chicken piccata is the ultimate Italian-style chicken dinner. With a short list of impactful ingredients (butter, lemon juice, chicken stock, and capers), you can make your own restaurant-worthy chicken.
Ted Allen: Parmesan-Crusted
When in doubt, add parmesan cheese. Chopped host Ted Allen recommends baking the chicken in a crunchy crust of panko breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese.
This Is Olivia Palermo's Boldest Collection of Fashion Week Outfits to Date
It's not a surprise that Olivia Palermo turns up in the front row at Fashion Week looking impossibly chic; it's become more routine each season. We expect a stellar showing of outfits from the style setter, and that's exactly what we get, with Olivia working over time to give us multiple looks in a single day (as she jets from show to show), adding up to outfit fodder that'll last all season.
We're calling this Olivia's boldest Fashion Week to date. The trendsetter's crafted an aesthetic that manages to land in the sophisticated style camp, though one foot is firmly stepping into eclectic, almost quirky, territory. She toes the line effortlessly, balancing big designer names with bargain buys and the pieces from her own Nordstrom collection. Suffice it to say, despite the many, many stylish women flocking to the shows, we've always got our eye on Olivia. Read on to see her outfits thus far.
People Are Making Kanye West Their Lock Screen, and It's So Good
There are some memes on the internet that are so hilariously perfect, you can't help but enjoy them too. Though Kanye West is a popular celebrity figure who people have extremely strong feelings about, you can't deny that making a photo of him from Yeezy Season 3 as your lock screen is awesome.
This trend started when Twitter user michaellbutlerr tweeted the photo of Kanye at Yeezy Season 3 in Madison Square Garden and why he loved it so much.
this is the best screensaver cos whenever i get a notification, Kanye holds it up for me http://pic.twitter.com/W3bpDt82MA
- mb (@michaellbutlerr) September 29, 2016
As you can see, people liked the idea so much, the tweet itself has more than 170,000 retweets and 310,000 "likes." Of course, others started doing the same, and the notifications Kanye holds up feel a little more touching. Check out some of our favorites here, and maybe try it yourself.
Unless You're a Demogorgon, You'll Love This Stranger Things Club Night
Since its release on Netflix in July, Stranger Things is practically in every aspect of pop culture. The show's young actors attended the Emmy Awards, appeared on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, and inspired Halloween costumes, cupcakes, even lip art! It isn't surprising that a nightclub party now exists that is, also, inspired by the television phenomenon.
Strangest Things is a club night taking place in cities around the UK. The party features a vinyl DJ, plenty of '80s decor, multicolored Christmas lights, Eggos, and a necessary shrine to Barb, Nancy's forgotten best friend. Here's hoping that this party will eventually make its way over to the US.

Here's How to Trade In an Old iPhone For an Apple Store Gift Card
Got an old iPhone waiting in the wings? If you're definitely getting the new iPhone 7, turn your elderly iDevice into store credit that you can use to redeem the latest and greatest model to come.
Apple's Trade-Up Program will accept used phones and, after evaluation, you either get in-store credit to use then and there or you can send the phone via mail and receive a gift card redeemable at the Apple retail store or Apple online store. If you choose to do it at the Apple store, you can decide whether to apply the credit you receive to either the "full cost of a new iPhone or to reduce the monthly payments with your carrier." The price varies based on what iPhone model you have.
To trade in online, start by filling out the questionnaire, which will prompt you with questions about the functionality, condition, and carrier of your phone, and whether it has ever been water damaged. After completing the survey for a 16GB silver iPhone 6 in good condition, the estimate return was $200. You can also recycle your old iPhone (or any other device) for free through Apple's Renew and Recycle program.
What You Need to Know About The Walking Dead's Dynamic New Character, Ezekiel
The Walking Dead's season seven premiere is about to come crashing into our lives, and those who have caught the latest trailers are sure to have noticed the eccentric new face that appears - and with a tiger. This dreadlocked new character is Ezekiel, the "king" of the newest colony of survivors to be introduced, The Kingdom. Before he makes his grand entrance, here's a primer.
What Is The Kingdom?
Much like Alexandria or Hilltop, The Kingdom is another settlement of people and is a part of the same trading line as Hilltop that must pay tribute to The Saviors. Ezekiel is the leader of this colony, where they live within an old school that is walled off by buses and sheet metal. The people there all refer to him as "King" Ezekiel, and no visitors are allowed to be present in The Kingdom without a personal escort.
What's With the Tiger?
Not much is known about Ezekiel's past, but he states that he used to be a zookeeper and has known his pet tiger, Shiva, since she was born. Before the apocalypse, Shiva had fallen into the moat that surrounded her exhibit, badly injuring her leg. Not wanting her to bleed out before help could arrive, Ezekiel ran to her aid and tied his shirt around the wound. Mistaking him for the cause of her pain, Shiva slashed him across his stomach, leaving deep cuts. Ezekiel and Shiva both survived, and she never showed a hint of aggression towards him again.
How He Might Cause Drama for "Richonne"
When Michonne first meets Ezekiel in the comics, she is initially put off by his flashy and arrogant personality and calls him out for being another leader that manipulates his followers into treating him special. He refutes this claim by saying that people want a leader that they can look up to in order to feel safe, and by feeling safer, they are more productive and cooperative as a result. The two eventually begin to form a relationship with one another. The main difference here is that in the comics, Rick and Michonne were never in a relationship like they currently are on the show. Ezekiel's introduction has the chance of splitting them up in the future.
Why He's Important to the Future
As tensions between the Alexandria and Hilltop communities rise against The Saviors, Ezekiel and his Kingdom become major players in the resistance against Negan. The Saviors outnumber these groups significantly, and only by uniting do any of them stand a chance in overcoming their control over the smaller settlements. Ezekiel is bound to be an intriguing new addition to the cast of characters, and we look forward to seeing Shiva in action.
Daenerys Targaryen Gets Reimagined as the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo - and It's Badass
It's hard to imagine the Game of Thrones characters existing anywhere outside of their fantastical, twisted, and gruesome universe. One artist, however, is attempting to do just that by illustrating many of the core characters with all our modern accoutrements: piercings, tattoos, and graphic t-shirts.
Said artist, Hilary Heffron, uses Photoshop to create her anachronistic portrayals of everyone from Daenerys Targaryen to Jon Snow to Margaery Tyrell. The character's tattoos, in particular, are representative of that character's nickname or backstory. For example, as the so-called Mother of Dragons, Daenerys is shown with a massive dragon tattoo on her back. Hilary sells these portraits in an Etsy store called Hilarious Delusions.
Look ahead for Hilary's trippy interpretations that will make you do a double take.
This Easy Hack For Cleaning Your Makeup Brushes Is a Game Changer
The struggle is real when it comes to cleaning those makeup brushes once a week. If we're being honest, it's all too easy to skip a week or two. But don't forget: dirty brushes harbor dirt and bacteria that can cause breakouts and irritation!
That said, there are silicone brush cleansing mats on the market that make getting the job done so much easier. While they're convenient, they can cost upward of $30 or more. But you can actually DIY your very own cleaning board . . . with a clipboard!
This project will set you back only a few bucks (clipboard and hot glue included!). The plastic clipboard is a great dupe because it's waterproof, and the textured surface helps break up dirt and grime just as well as those fancy designer mats.
Would you make this at home? Tell us in the comments section below!

3 Things to Know In Order to Instantly Stop Your Kid's Tantrum
Parenting is a mindful practice that truly begins on the inside. Our friends at YourTango analyze three methods of approaching and ultimately stopping your child's tantrums.
No tricks needed when you parent a tantrum-ing child.
At birthday parties, family gatherings, and any type of social situations, you would see me and my husband trying to relax while, and at the same time, keeping track of our kids' arousal levels, never fully making eye contact with someone we were talking to. We were afraid of missing the signs.
In other words, we carefully kept watch in order to predict when our kids were going to explode, crash and burn.
We're experts in stepping in just before it happens, saying farewell in an all-around goodbye-wave and rushing to the car. We could only handle that many speedy goodbyes before we stopped going to those types of gatherings altogether.
I'm still recovering physically and emotionally from this toddler phase. I had the explosive highly sensitive toddlers!
My oldest daughter would almost implode and explode at the same time. It was pretty scary to watch this happening! She actually helped me later with some insights when her younger brother and sister were at that age.
She said, "I can still feel the total frustration and all this energy in my body that I just couldn't get out. You didn't understand me and everything felt so unfair."
That really helped me understand tantrums so much better. But what truly helped me deal with tantrums and challenging behavior of my children was the work I was doing on myself.
I realized that parenting is the best mindfulness and personal growth practice I could have chosen in this lifetime. It has helped me transform the way I show up as a parent and as a person.
There are three things we have to get in perspective when we start parenting from the inside out:
1. How we feel as a person defines how we react as parents.
If we're unclear, ungrounded, and unbalanced, our children will pick up on that and reflect it in their behavior.
When you don't fulfill your own needs, you don't have much to give to others. When you are tired and have no energy, it is much harder to deal with your children's outbursts.
Give yourself a break whenever you're not perfect, make mistakes or can't hold it all together. Forgive yourself when you do scream and yell and do everything exactly the opposite of what you knew you had to do. You are doing the best you can.
Healthy boundaries are important for your children, but they are important for you as a parent as well. You are the parent and affirming healthy boundaries is your job. Think of the gift you are giving to your children. By declaring that you are important, you mirror it to them: they are important as well.
As adults this will serve them, as it is serving you now.
Children can trigger unresolved emotions in you, causing you to feel hurt and frustrated. They can also pick up on those unresolved feelings and mirror them. And beware of the projection of your own unresolved feeling onto your children.
Embrace the parts of you that are still hurting. Acknowledge and accept your own feelings from or about you past without judgment and give that child in you all the love and validation it never got.
Practice keeping things in perspective and avoid the panic. Your child experiencing a strong emotion is not going to kill them. Your calm will show them the way through whatever they are feeling.
2. We must have age-appropriate expectations!
This is true for the toddler tantrums as well as the teenage tantrums. My youngest and my oldest are almost 11 years apart, so I had children who were all in tantrum mode at the same time. It took a lot of deep breathing and grounding for me not to start screaming and kicking just like my children.
And honestly, there were times that I did just that. I was almost jealous that I had to be the adult. But yes, age appropriate expectations, for your children and for yourself.
In a toddler, tantrums arise as they build up stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline, while coping with all the stimuli. While toddlers can already verbalize many of their needs, their brains are not able to process strong emotions verbally.
A tantrum is the body's way of restoring balance by discharging and unloading all the physiological residue of all the frustration and fears that had been building up throughout the day.
That's why tantrums usually occur when kids are tired or at very busy social settings. It's not meant to manipulate you, but children can't control it and are not enjoying it. Their outburst is usually a message, a signal, a cry for help. Look beyond the behavior and realize what lies beneath.
(On a more practical level, a quick way to calm a child who is in over-arousal mode, is to put a cold pack in their hands. This literally cools down the over-aroused brain.)
As a child's brain develops, they become more capable of verbalizing their emotions and needs. It never ceases to amaze me how behavior shifts when a child is around 6 to 7 years old. It's like everything you've been saying all these years kind of clicks in their brains.
But then, they hit puberty, and the brain gets inundated with hormones. Teenagers are literally drowning in them. The brain goes through many changes under the influence of hormones and a different stage in their lives is reached.
Ah, teenagers…they think they know everything and that we know nothing. They push and shove while figuring out who they are. It's an amazing and scary rollercoaster ride for both the teenagers as well as for the parent.
So, if we start with the knowledge that our two-year-old is not being bad or naughty but that he is a young human exploring the world, then we're seeing things from his perspective.
That empathy changes everything. It's the same with a teenager. They don't want to hurt you, they are doing their best at creating their own values. Don't worry. By the time they figure it out, their values will be pretty close to yours.
A two-year-old's job description is to explore the world, which includes throwing water around at every opportunity. A 16-year-old's job description is also to explore the world, which includes stepping out of the world they know and which you find safe.
3. The main reason that children cooperate is that they love you and want to please you.
Yes, you can beat them into submission and break their wills while calling it respect, but I trust that if you are reading this article, this is not the way you want to go. Overpowering or even abandoning your child, bribing or threatening just add to the disconnect and anxiety your child is experiencing.
Connection and love is what matters most so connect before correcting. The quickest way to connect is by getting down to eye level, making eye contact and taking a few deep breaths.
Just think about it. When you're angry and start yelling you're usually not making eye-contact. You're just venting, getting it out of your system, and kind of dumping it on the other person. When you make eye-contact you SEE the little human in front of you.
The deep breaths are not only for you but also for your child. When you relax, they relax. The connection between a parent and a child is that strong.
This one is not really easy to do but it works if you really set the intention that love and respect for each other is what you're going for. My youngest daughter has been my greatest teacher on this one.
- "I understand that you are tired, do you need a hug and a kiss?"
- "I love you and the answer is, no."
- "I understand that you are upset because you are tired, but this is behavior is not acceptable."
- "I love you and I have faith that we can find a respectful solution."
If you deal with tantrums this way, I assure you that not only your child, but also you will grow emotionally.
Parenting from the inside out is not always the easiest way. But I can guarantee you that it will be the most fulfilling way, for you and your children.

The 1 Thing You Should Never Put on a Sandwich, According to the Sandwich King Himself
Food Network chef and sandwich king Jeff Mauro spilled his sandwich dos and don'ts. Keep reading to learn his best advice.
POPSUGAR: What's the ultimate breakfast sandwich?
Jeff Mauro: Perfectly griddled sausage patty, everything bagel, veggie cream cheese, and pickled jalapeños, of course.
PS: What's the worst thing anyone could put on a sandwich?
JM: Mealy tomatoes.
PS: What's the best sandwich bread ever?
JM: The answer is NONE. Each sandwich has at least one appropriate bread to act as the vehicle.
PS: Does your son eat what you cook? How do you get him to eat vegetables?
JM: Kind of. He always eats the protein we make, and starch (usually sweet potatoes) and veggies. He's still not eating salads or asparagus, but we've always fed him well-seasoned and well-balanced food. I guess the trick is, and mind you, I only have one kid, to really not give [kids] a choice. They have to at least taste everything you make.
PS: What's your ultimate Father's Day meal?
JM: My ideal Father's Day meal is a big grilled beef tenderloin. Pair that with tons of mushrooms, something cheesy, and lots of Mark West wine.
PS: What's the most fun thing about being a chef who is a dad?
JM: Taking pride in the fact that my boy knows and respects good food and where it comes from and what it takes to make it. Now with my restaurant Pork & Mindy's in Chicago, he can come hang out with me on the weekends and see food from that end of the business. Plus, I'm proud that my boy can crack an egg like a champ.

8 Reasons This Fashion Week Is Different From All the Rest
