How to Pack Your Lunch For Optimum Weight Loss

You're feeling pretty proud of yourself, strolling into work, carrying your new Bistro Bento with a lunch you packed from home - take that, crazy calorie counts at cafes! But wait - your lunchbox is filled with an 800-calorie serving of homemade mac and cheese. Yikes! While bringing lunch from home can be healthier than heading out at noon, it doesn't mean it's automatically the magic key to dropping pounds. Follow these three tips when packing lunch to ensure you lose weight.

1. Fill It With These Two Things

While a sandwich is one of the most popular choices on the bagged lunch menu, it's not necessarily the best choice for weight loss. Carbs may fill you up, but they can also make your brain foggy and your body feel heavy - which means feeling too tired for that afternoon run and an increased craving for a sugary pick-me-up later. Instead, go for fiber and protein. The fiber takes longer to digest so hunger pangs won't cause you to reach for more calories soon after lunch ends. And the protein will sustain your energy. Aim for at least 10 grams of fiber and at least 15 grams of protein.

2. Do the Math

Since weight loss is a matter of calories in vs. calories used up, it's important to count calories to make sure you're not exceeding your daily limit. Have a specific number in mind for each meal and snack so you don't mindlessly pack lunch - remember that even healthy foods can be high in calories. Depending on your daily calorie intake, this midday meal should be between 400 and 500 calories. Use a website such as Calorie King to help you add up your food, Calorie Count for recipes, or a trusted calorie-counting app to help you keep track of the rest of your meals and snacks.

3. Open Up and Smile

There's already a lot to consider: lunch needs to be healthy and filling, it needs to be low in calories, but it also has to taste good so that you want to eat it and feel satisfied when you're done. You have the best intentions when packing a baby kale salad, but if your taste buds aren't into it, your cravings will convince you to find something better. Speak to your specific desires, and find healthy ways to quench them. That may mean finding ways to lighten up your favorite comfort foods or throwing in a few squares of dark chocolate to satisfy your postmeal sweet tooth.

Here's a sample lunch that utilizes all three of these tips. In the vegan lunch shown in the photo above, the salad is packed with grapes for added fiber and topped with chickpeas and sunflower seeds for additional protein. On the top right is quinoa mixed with black beans, which offers even more fiber and protein. On the bottom right, there are fresh apple slices (more fiber) smeared with homemade mixed nut butter (more protein plus healthy fats) to satisfy dessert cravings. Here's the breakdown:

Salad:

  • 2 cups baby spinach: 14 calories, 0.2 grams fiber, 0.3 grams protein
  • 10 carrot slices: 12 calories, 0.8 grams fiber, 0.3 grams protein
  • 5-inch celery stalk: 2 calories, 0.3 grams fiber, 0.1 grams protein
  • 5 cherry tomatoes: 15 calories, 1 gram fiber, 0.7 grams protein
  • 1/2 cup chickpeas: 130 calories, 5 grams fiber, 7 grams protein
  • 8 grapes: 27 calories, 0.4 grams fiber, 0.3 grams protein
  • 1/2 tablespoon sunflower seeds: 23 calories, 0.4 grams fiber, 0.8 grams protein

Total: 223 calories, 8.1 grams fiber, 9.5 grams protein

Side of quinoa:

  • 1/3 cup cooked quinoa: 67 calories, 1.6 grams fiber, 2.4 grams protein
  • 1/4 cup black beans: 55 calories, 3 grams fiber, 3.5 grams protein

Total: 122 calories, 4.6 grams fiber, 5.9 grams protein

Apple treat:

  • 1/4 apple: 23 calories, 1.1 grams fiber, 0.1 grams protein
  • 1 tablespoon mixed nut butter: 94 calories, 1.2 grams fiber, 3 grams protein

Total: 117 calories, 2.3 grams fiber, 3.1 grams protein

Lunch Total: 462 calories, 15 grams fiber, 18.5 grams protein

1 Mom Is Fuming Over This Sexist Toy Aimed at Girls

"It's 2016 people. Fisher-Price needs to step it the F up and show women working in all types of fields and in leadership roles," writes Gina Zuk Gerber in a post to Facebook sharing a photo of a Little People toy aimed at young girls. The toy, a pink-and-white SUV, comes with a "a clearly mom-looking figure" and the tagline, "Time for yoga and a smoothie!" - and Gerber isn't very happy about it.

My son's favorite toys growing up were Little People. I always just grabbed the fire truck or barn and didn't think much about it. Today when shopping for toys for Anna I was disgusted to see the "girl" versions of Little People. The only ones with all girl figures were all smothered in pink and purple, they worked in interesting places like the "home," and they all lacked the multiple educational elements the "boys" toys had.

After publicly sharing the post to Facebook, it's clear that Gerber isn't the only person who feels so strongly about this line of "girly" toys - her commenters are just as riled up. "Because all women do is yoga and sip smoothies," one wrote. "Oh, Fisher-Price, you screwed up big time!"

A Letter to Everyone Who Changes My Name From Rose to Rosa on Purpose

Imagine being in class with a teacher or at work with colleagues who repeatedly mispronounce your name, even after you have verbally introduced yourself, carefully saying your not-hard-to-pronounce name loud and clear. That has been my situation way too often.

My name is Rose. I'm a third-generation Mexican-American, and I only speak and understand basic Spanish. In 1954, my tata Crescencio Ramirez, my maternal grandfather, was smacked with a ruler by his teacher for speaking Spanish in class. As a result, he didn't teach his children the language, thinking it would prevent them from experiencing the same treatment. My paternal grandmother, Eleanor Barraza, tried teaching the language to her children, but they always preferred English. Which is why I'm confused when anyone addresses me as Rosa. That's not my name, and through the years, it has made me uncomfortable and upset when someone ignores that fact. The incidents are frequent and memorable.

I can remember it clearly. I was working at a shoe store, standing behind the register, preparing for a reset. As our district manager walked in, he greeted the managers, and then we were introduced. Along with my visible name tag, he had just heard me say my name, but within five minutes of meeting me, he had already changed it. I originally thought he had misheard me, but even after correcting him, it continued.

And the cycle sustained at my next job. I was in a business meeting with my colleagues; we went around the table introducing ourselves to a new employee. It was my turn, I announced my name and position, and he responded: "Nice to meet you, Rosa." The room went silent and every facial expression declared a moment of shock. They already knew not to call me anything other than my name. It was an embarrassing moment, and he later apologized. But I always wondered why this kept happening.

As a child, I rarely corrected anyone because my parents taught me to respect and obey my elders. But over the years, teachers, bosses, colleagues, clients, strangers, and even new friends misinterpreted my name. It's not in any way that I want to disassociate myself from my Mexican heritage, I just want to answer to the legal name my parents gave me like most people in the world. It was not until I took a media literacy class in college, which focused on the intersection of race, class, and gender, that I was exposed to a different perspective.

A study by Dwight E. Brooks and Lisa P. Hébert titled "Gender, Race, and Media Representation" concluded that media shape our notions, in various ways, about certain groups of people in society. Latinas are generally portrayed as domestic workers, reinforcing existing stereotypes often seen in movies, like with Jennifer Lopez in Maid in Manhattan, Adriana Barraza in Babel, or Lupe Ontiveros in The Goonies. The study also acknowledged that Lopez tends to break the mold by playing characters that are not ethnically categorized, such as her roles in Monster-in-Law, Gigli, and The Wedding Planner, but that's not the norm. In an interview with NPR, Ontiveros said that she has played the role of a maid over 150 times throughout her career. Common names for the characters she portrayed were Rosa, María, Lupe, and Marta.

Learning these facts during the class made me question if people were addressing me as Rosa because I looked like the typical maid in media - whose name couldn't possibly be Rose. In an article published in the journal Sociology Compass titled "The Persistent Problem of Colorism: Skin Tone, Status, and Inequality" by Margaret Hunter, the author found that fair-skinned Latinas were generally portrayed as successful and sexy, while dark-skinned women were left with unwanted and labor roles. As a brown girl, I understood. I always felt invisible, insignificant, and unworthy in environments where I felt like I was being treated differently because of my skin tone. I realized that my real-world experience reflected media stereotypes.

I am glad to see Latinas creating change in media - America Ferrera in Superstore on NBC and Jenna Ortega in Stuck in the Middle on the Disney Channel - but we still have a long way to go. Bobbie Eisenstock, Ph.D, a California State University Northridge media professor, explained that "with a media culture so overpopulated with stereotypes, the effect is to normalize and perpetuate stereotypes in society, which, in turn, affect how we interact with people who fit the stereotype in our real lives, particularly if we lack first-hand personal experience knowing someone like them."

People may think I am overreacting, but our names are our identities, and stereotyping people based on physical appearance is more common than we may realize. In an interview with Makers Women, Christy Haubegger, founder of Latina magazine, shares her story about being mistaken for a housekeeper at a major hotel where she was staying on business. After meetings with advertising companies, Haubegger left her hotel room to get ice when another guest asked: "Oh, wonderful, dear, are you bringing those to all the rooms?" She replied, "No, ma'am, just my room." This event strengthened her commitment to challenge stereotypes until people recognize Latinas as entrepreneurs, lawyers, and more.

I want women like Ramona Ortega, founder and CEO of My Money, My Future, who teaches young millennial Latinas about finance; Maria Teresa Kumar, founder of VotoLatino, who involves and educates Latinos about the political process; and Nury Martinez, the only Mexican-American woman serving on the Los Angeles City Council, to be as well-known as Gloria Steinem, Sheryl Sandberg, and Beyoncé are to their communities and the world. These women inspire me every day - for them, I promise to work hard until everyone finds us worthy enough to learn our names.

14 Stars Who Have Been In on the Braless Trend For a Long Time

When Kendall Jenner posted on her app about going braless, it caused a case of internet chatter. No one was exactly surprised, since she's been baring hints of her nipple ring through sheer tops for a while, but Kendall isn't the only one.

Stars throughout history have walked the red carpet in glamorous gowns without a bra, some making for buzzy moments (see Gwyneth Paltrow at the Academy Awards in 2002), while others, like Kate Moss and Jennifer Aniston, casually showed off the look on the street in nothing but a fitted tee. One scroll through the undeniably sexy looks here, and you'll definitely understand the allure, even if you're not ready to ditch your bra just yet.

When This Child Noticed Kids Staring at Her Birthmark, She Owned it in an Incredible Way

When Kelly Wilson Bossley dropped her daughter off at preschool, she noticed some of the other kids whispering when they saw her child's face. To make matters worse, Kelly could tell that Lydia had picked up on her new classmates staring at the bruising and redness covering her cheek.

Contrary to what her mom expected, Lydia, who had just endured another treatment to keep her port-wine stain birthmark healthy, didn't get upset. Instead of becoming self-conscious and shrinking away from her peers, Lydia simply retrieved a copy of Sam's Birthmark from her cubby, handed it to the teacher, and asked for it to be read to the class.

"She isn't even 3 years old yet but her resilience and ability to self-care blows me away," Kelly shared on the Love What Matters Facebook page. "I cried nearly the entire way to work - not because I worry how her peers will treat her in the years to come, but because I know this girl is gonna do big things!"

Let's Talk About the Unbelievable Head Wraps Lupita Nyong'o Has Been Wearing

Kenyan-Mexican actress Lupita Nyong'o landed on the perfect moment to pay tribute to her African heritage. This Fall, Lupita stars in Disney's Queen of Katwe, a film about chess player Phiona Mutesi, who lives with her family in Uganda. Lupita plays Harriet, Phiona's mother, and to prepare for the role, she spent plenty of time traveling.

Lupita and her stylist Micaela Erlanger did research in Uganda, sourcing materials from African designers that would eventually inspire looks for the promotional tour. While Lupita wore a lineup of red carpet dresses by top designers like Rosie Assoulin, Balmain, and Carolina Herrera, their matching headpieces were all part of a larger collaboration.

Micaela joined Lupita's hairstylist, Vernon Francois, to create designs that sat like a crown atop Lupita's head. Why You Should Stop Believing Any Facebook Post That Guarantees Your Privacy

It feels like every year, another viral post goes around on Facebook warning users that everything is going public and that somehow you can stop it from happening. This time around, the post explains that all your private photos, messages, and more are about to become public, unless you post a disclaimer that says otherwise.

The post reads as follows:

"Deadline tomorrow !!! Everything you've ever posted becomes public from tomorrow. Even messages that have been deleted or the photos not allowed. It costs nothing for a simple copy and paste, better safe than sorry. Channel 13 News talked about the change in Facebook's privacy policy. I do not give Facebook or any entities associated with Facebook permission to use my pictures, information, messages or posts, both past and future. With this statement, I give notice to Facebook it is strictly forbidden to disclose, copy, distribute, or take any other action against me based on this profile and/or its contents. If you do not publish a statement at least once it will be tactically allowing the use of your photos, as well as the information contained in the profile status updates. DO NOT SHARE. However, none of this is true. Facebook isn't making everything public (some of it probably already is due to your privacy settings) and no matter what you do, Facebook is free to do whatever it wants with the information on your profile. See, when you sign up for Facebook, you agree to the company's Terms of Service and you can't alter that with a Facebook post.

If you are concerned about what's on your profile, we recommend doing a privacy checkup on your account and limiting what you post on social media. In the meantime, don't reshare this post - or delete it if you already have.

Kendall Jenner Inspired Me to Go Braless - and I'll Never Look Back

There isn't a ton that Kendall Jenner and I have in common: I'm not a top model, my family isn't rich or famous, and I definitely don't have people - fans, paparazzi, the media, etc. - dying to know my every move. But one thing KJ and I do share? The fact that genetics have blessed us with fairly small chests. Only I wasn't as happy about it as she was.

Growing up, and especially in high school and most of college, I was obsessed with wearing a bra, solely because I hated the way my clothes - and maybe my body in general - looked without one. A quick trip the store? I "needed" to wear a bra. Sleepover with friends? That baby wasn't coming off. I didn't own a single piece without padding because life and my outfits looked "better" with cleavage.

Even after gaining confidence as I got older, you'd rarely catch me without a little something to give me a little something. But then, in 2014, something changed: Kendall Jenner truly exploded onto the fashion scene, rocking a fully sheer top in Marc Jacobs' Fall '14 show - and it turns out the girl, small chest and all, didn't care a bit that she was exposed. Later that year, she showed up at Coachella in a sweatshirt that said "I Have No T*ts," and was soon (and still is) speaking out about her love of going braless and showing her nipples. She admittedly thinks it's a sexy look.

"I really don't see what the big deal is with going braless," Kendall wrote in a blog post on her site called "Free the Nipple". "I think it's cool and I really just don't care! It's sexy, it's comfortable, and I'm cool with my breasts. That's it!"

Perhaps it's because I frequently write about the model for work, but slowly, I've started to see what Kendall is talking about. Through street style alone, she and other women have shown me that a variety of outfits do look good sans that extra support, even more so if you have small breasts. More importantly, Kendall seems supercomfortable and confident with her body, and I've started to feel silly worrying about how I looked in certain shirts or whether or not someone can see my nipples. (The no-nipple thing has truly started to seem weird to me - it's just a body part!)

It's strange to type, but Kendall going braless and then talking about it inspired me to do the same. Bodysuits that show some side-boob? I'm down. Dresses where even a strapless bra will stick out? It's time to go au naturel. I'll now take trips to the store, meet up with friends, and even spend date-night dinners without a bra, and it's a lifestyle/trend I've grown to love.

So if you're addicted to your bra like I was, dare yourself to ditch it for a day. I promise, once you try it, you might just feel freer, more confident, and - just like Kendall - a bit sexy, too.

This Insane Halloween Prank Would Probably Make Us Move to a Different City

One man's Halloween prank is terrifying residents of his town and yet absolutely delighting the people of the internet. For his prank, the man attached a Grim Reaper-inspired Halloween prop to a flying drone and gave the prop a leisurely tour of his (formerly) quiet town.

The man's nephew recently shared the prank on Twitter with a caption that read, "So my uncle got a drone now he's f*cking with people." That tweet now has more than 120,000 retweets and 220,000 favorites.

While the prank feels a tad cruel for innocent pedestrians and passersby, we have to admit, it's pretty freaking hilarious.

20 Real Reasons You Might Wait to Tell Your Mom About Your Pregnancy

It doesn't matter if you and your mom are Gilmore Girls-status best friends or if you aren't particularly close: the day you find out that you're pregnant may not be the day that tell her about it. It may not even be that week or month for that matter, because it takes two people to have a baby, and deciding when to share the big news is up to those two - not a third party.

Whether you always imagined that your mom would be the first person you called with the news, or maybe you knew you'd have to take a few days to mentally prepare for her excitement and overwhelmingly "helpful advice," here are 20 reasons you might delay the big reveal either way.

  1. She'll be offended that she wasn't told before the baby's dad, and you don't want to deal with any drama during your happy moment.
  2. You know her stress and ability to hover will kick in.
  3. She'll tell the whole world before you've even ended the call.
  4. She'll steal your thunder and make this about her becoming a grandma.
  5. You want to be the one to share it on social media.
  6. She's awful at secrets and won't be able to wait until the second trimester.
  7. She'll start packing her bags and preparing to move in.
  8. You need time to come up with a game plan regarding boundaries, and how to explain that this is your baby, not hers.
  9. She's going to want to "help" and you're not ready for it yet.
  10. She'll start comparing and competing with the in-laws.
  11. Because who, when, and how you share the news is between you and your partner - and not up to your mom!
  12. You're superstitious and don't want to take any chances.
  13. You don't want to get her hopes up until you are absolutely positive.
  14. Telling her makes it real and you haven't processed the news yet.
  15. You're just totally and completely overwhelmed.
  16. You're in denial and still don't believe the test results yet.
  17. You haven't told your partner yet and you want that moment to be special - and first.
  18. You want to tell all of your family at the same time.
  19. You're brainstorming a creative way to share the news.
  20. You're waiting for an upcoming holiday to make it special.

In it, she gets real about everything from her hometown to her career and even her beauty favorites (she keeps how many lipsticks in her bag?!). Keep scrolling to read snippets of what Adriana had to say before you read the full thing, then admire her best outfits so far this year.

  • On Brazilian hair hacks: "We'd take our conditioner or hair mask and mix it with avocado and put that in our hair for a treatment. It leaves your hair super shiny. I'm not joking! And avocado doesn't have a strong scent, so you won't smell funny."
  • On her lipstick obsession: "I carry three lipsticks in my bag at all times - I love Color Sensational Clay Crush, it's an earthy tone, but really sexy. Then I have a pinkier-nude one that's not out yet, and Siren in Scarlet is my red."
  • On why she loves perfume: "You know what? I'm the type of person that has a strong personality, and I like to be noticed, in a good way. There are things you can do to be noticed and not forgotten, and wearing perfume is one of those things."
  • On her favorite workout: "I've been boxing since I was 19 years old. For me, it's great zen time. Some people find that in yoga or meditation, but when I'm boxing, I'm not in my head. That's why I love it. It's also great for my skin and hair because I sweat so much, which gets the circulation going."
  • On modeling: "I see modeling as a job, not as an opportunity to appear places and be a celebrity. I see it as a career like any other career, and I want to work with kind people, people with values. Now I'm at a time in my life where I'm representing more mature women. And I think women age so beautifully, and that's why I plan on modeling for as long as I can, because I want to show them - the world, the business - that a mature woman can be a model and be beautiful."

A 74 per cent increase in the number of reported suicides and serious suicide attempts inside the province's medical system is likely the result of better record keeping, said Dr. Michael Teehan, the head of psychiatry at Dalhousie University's Faculty of Medicine.

Is It Safe to Eat Raw Oats (as in Overnight Oats)?

You fell hard for the overnight oats craze, and we don't blame you for becoming completely obsessed (we did too!) Overnight oats taste amazing because you can come up with all kinds of delicious flavor combinations from chocolate coconut almond, to banana cashew, to vanilla almond raspberry. They're easy to throw together and eat on-the-go, and they're one of the quickest breakfasts you can make that keep you feeling full all morning long. The only issue is that you may have heard that eating raw oats isn't safe because they contain phytic acid.

Why is phytic acid bad? Also known as phytate, it's found in grains, nuts, seeds, and beans and binds to essential minerals such as calcium, zinc, and iron, preventing your body from being able to absorb them. So it makes sense that if you consume too much phytic acid, you can have issues with mineral deficiencies. But don't worry! Nutritionists Stephanie Clarke, RD, and Willow Jarosh, RD, of C&J Nutrition say that even though "oats do contain phytic acid, soaking them overnight will remove some of it."

Soaking oats also helps to break down the starches, so they're easier to digest (read: less bloating) than cooked oats. If traditionally prepared oatmeal made with rolled or steel cut oats have always been off-limits because it bothers your stomach, overnight oats may not.

So go ahead and eat overnight oats every morning of the week! They're safe, easy on the tummy, and a great choice if you're watching your weight because the complex carbs and fiber keep you fuller. If you really crave a warm bowl, pop your glass jar in the microwave for 30 to 60 seconds.

Let’s Raise Our Glass to This List of Wines You Should Pair With Your Kid's Homework

If you've ever done homework with your child when the numbers on their long division homework suddenly started to blur, and thought to yourself, "Wow, I could really use a drink," you're absolutely not alone. The hilarious Kim and Penn Holderness are here to help you figure out which wines you should pair with each subject of homework - well, until they get to science projects, because that's a whole other story! - by running down the list of their daughter Lola's school subjects.

"For science, try a Cabernet," Kim says. "It's complex like this packet on cloud formation that her teacher just sent home, and dense like me trying to explain it to her. After all, all the science I remember is vinegar plus baking soda equals volcano." Watch the video above to see what wine you should pair with your child's homework, but once the homework tuns into a temper tantrum, this list of pairings will help you with your child's crappy behavior. Bottoms up!

The Pros and Cons of 4 Different Kinds Baby Carriers

I love babywearing. With my first child I tried out the BabyBjorn, frequently wore him in an Ergobaby, and occasionally carried him in a fabric wrap. Now with my second, I'm loving the ring sling. No matter which baby carrying method you choose, wearing your little one can be a sweet way to bond while also being incredibly practical (hello free hands!).

But whether you're registering for must-haves for your first baby or just shopping for yourself, it can be hard to decide which carrier makes the most sense for your lifestyle without buying and trying them all. But thanks to my apparent obsession with purchasing baby gear, I already did that! Read on for tips to help you choose the best way to wear your little one and once you've found the perfect option make sure to take note of the most common baby-wearing mistakes parents make.

Queen Elizabeth II Rides a Horse at 90 Years Old Because She's a Royal Rock Star

Queen Elizabeth II continues to prove that age ain't nothing but a number to her. The 90-year-old royal was spotted riding horses with her head groom (or person in charge of the management and care of horses), Terry Pendry, along the banks of the River Thames in Datchet, England, on Monday. Dressed in comfortable riding pants, a tan jacket, and a head scarf, the queen was in her element as she appeared to enjoy the crisp Fall day. While she didn't make one of her signature funny faces during her ride, it was once again clear that her great-granddaughter Princess Charlotte is taking after her when it comes to their adventurous personalities. Stay young, queen. Stay young.

10 Big Questions We Need to See Answered in the Gilmore Girls Reboot

There's about one month left until the Gilmore Girls reboot, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, airs on Netflix, and the plot speculation seems to get wilder every day. While there have already been a good number of details released about the reboot so far, there's still plenty to theorize about. Fans likely have many questions about what they'll see on Nov. 25, and these are just 10 of the biggest ones. So grab a slice of pizza, make like Rory Gilmore, and keep reading.

1. What's going to happen with Luke and Lorelai?

Ah, Luke and Lorelai. They tortured us for so long. The series finale in 2007 left us hopeful that these two would stay together after finally reuniting, but hardcore fans definitely need more reassurance - especially after Lauren Graham's unsettling comments about the couple's future earlier this year. Since the relationship between these two has always been such a central part of the show, it seems only logical that it will be a main plot point of the reboot. Will we see Luke and Lorelai in another unsteady journey to the aisle? Or maybe we'll be strung along until the last moment in agony?

2. Will Rory go back to an old flame?

We already know all of Rory Gilmore's Big Three boyfriends - Dean, Jess, and Logan - are making appearances in the reboot. Who knows what they've all been up to since the finale, so perhaps one (or more, knowing this show) of them will recapture the younger Gilmore's eye again. (Show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino stands firmly on Team Jess by the way, haters!) Then again, maybe Rory will end up with someone completely new, or she could simply stay a strong, independent woman all on her own.

3. What happens with Rory's writing career?

The series finale sees Rory about to hit the road to cover Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign, so clearly she is destined for quite a career path. While a production photo of the reboot suggests that Rory might be teaching at her alma mater Chilton, an Instagram snap from another cast member points toward Rory writing for the Stars Hollow Gazette. Either way, this seems far from the path she was headed toward, so what happens in between? Does she just miss Stars Hollow too much? Time will tell.

4. How have the Gilmore girls been affected by Richard's death?

One thing Gilmore Girls fans could always count on was the tumultuous relationship between Lorelai and her mother. Just when it looks like things were going well, something happens to drive a wedge between them again - and many times that wedge is Rory herself. But since the finale, one major thing has changed the lives of all the Gilmore women forever: the passing of Richard Gilmore (which was worked into the reboot due to the passing of actor Edward Herrmann in 2014). Sherman-Palladino has revealed that Richard's death will have a significant affect on Lorelai, Emily, and Rory. Will Lorelai and Emily be brought closer together by their loss? Has the tragedy put even more strain on their relationship?

5. Did Sookie and Jackson really end up with four kids?

Sookie and Jackson are the definition of #relationshipgoals in the original Gilmore Girls, but when Jackson tells Sookie that he wants to have "four in four" - that's four kids in four years - she balks at the idea. When Sookie did end up having two kids later on, however, she of course ended up being a fantastic mom. At the end of the show in 2007, Sookie is pregnant again, so perhaps by the time we return to Stars Hollow the couple will have gotten to number four!

6. What's happening with all the Stars Hollow regulars?

One of the best parts of Gilmore Girls is without a doubt the large cast of iconic minor characters: worldly and provocative Miss Patty, uptight and unrelenting Taylor Doose, and of course, the ever-quirky Kirk, just to name a few. The reboot just wouldn't be the same as the show we remember if it didn't give at least some insight into how those characters are faring in Stars Hollow - even if they're just the same as always.

7. How is business at the Dragonfly?

Opening an inn of their own had been Lorelai and Sookie's dream for years, and when they finally achieve their goal with the Dragonfly Inn, it's a huge success. Stars Hollow has the perfect kind of small-town charm that draws tourists, but has the inn kept up its momentum over the years? Are there more horses? Yanic Truesdale is confirmed to return as Michel - has he lost his mind over annoying guests yet?

8. Is Hep Alien ever getting back together?

Let's face it, Lane's band is one of the best parts of Gilmore Girls, and no doubt the coolest band to come out of small-town Connecticut. Not only does it feature some of the most entertaining guest characters on the show (*cough Gil cough*), but it's also how Lane meets the love of her life, Zach. We know that Keiko Agena is returning as Rory's BFF Lane Kim, so we can only hope that her bandmates will make an onstage appearance.

9. Are Paris and Rory still close?

We will always love Lane Kim, but one of the most significant friendships in Rory's life is the one with Paris Geller. From competing in high school to competing in college and all the arguments in between, they always come back to each other in the end. While it's pretty much a given that Paris goes on to kick some serious ass as a doctor after the show ended, it's less likely she does it while being a social butterfly. Rory is there whenever Paris needs someone, whether she likes it or not. Perhaps in the reboot, Paris will end up on Rory's doorstep midcrisis once again, to seek the advice of her best frenemy.

10. What are those final four words?!

The reboot will end with four words (like Sherman-Palladino had originally planned for the show, before she left following the sixth season), and Lauren Graham revealed those words will be spoken by Lorelai and another character. And sure, you COULD skip to the end of the last episode when it comes out on Netflix and find out right away. But why would you do that to yourself? Oy with the poodles already, people!

Anthony Hopkins Was Digitally De-Aged on Westworld, and We Feel Weird About It

Week by week, we're slowly getting acquainted with the new, complicated dystopia that is HBO's Westworld. In the most recent episode, we got more fodder for a few interesting theories - namely that William will become the Man in Black and that Bernard might be a robot - but there was something else that seriously blew our minds. We're talking about that digitally de-aged Anthony Hopkins. Basically, Ford tells Bernard about his late partner at one point during the episode, and the mesmerizing moment comes in the form of a flashback. We've seen this sort of youthful digitizing before in recent years (think Brad Pitt in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), but the technology only seems to get realer and more uncanny as the years go on. Don't believe us? Look at that screenshot below and tell us it's not pure sorcery.

If you're hearing bumps in the night or experiencing any of these other telltale signs in your home, it may be time for you to relocate - or just rewatch a few of these movies to figure out how to get rid of your demons.

North West, Tiny Goddess, Rocks This Dark Kylie Lip Kit Like It's Her Job

North West is only 3 years old, but she's already pulling off beauty looks most people decades her senior are too scared to try. While attending the birthday party her aunt, Kylie Jenner, threw for Tyga's son, King Cairo, North was happy to test out one of Kylie's boldest Lip Kits. Like any good aunt would, Kylie painted the lip color - which looks like Dead of Knight? - on her adorable niece, who specifically chose the dark shade (pink is too passé for North, obviously). She then made kissy faces at the camera for Kylie's Snapchat, proving that she's come a long way from being terrified of those filters. Kylie later posted a photo to Snapchat of North holding a Lip Kit in her hand with the caption, "what happens at Auntie Kylie's stays at Auntie Kylie's." Maybe there's a chance Kim and Kanye don't follow her?

It's worth noting that this is one of the first times North has been seen with her extended family since her mother's terrifying robbery at gunpoint in Paris and production on the new season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians was put on hold. Before the harrowing incident in Paris went down, North enjoyed a fun family vacation with Kim and her baby brother, Saint, in Mexico in August, and took in a Broadway show with her cousins in NYC in September. Khloé Kardashian has since spoken out about her family's use of social media, and how they plan on "pulling back a little bit," so enjoy these sweet glimpses of North while you can.

If You Missed October's Gorgeous Supermoon, You Can Catch It Again Later This Year

Did you happen to look up at the night sky this past weekend? If you did, you were lucky enough to catch the hunter's supermoon, a full moon that illuminated the night sky and left sky gazers astonished.

This month's full moon was both a supermoon and a hunter's moon, an event that occurs in the Fall. Typically, the moon rises 50 minutes later each day. But a hunter's moon signifies that the "October moon rises 30 minutes later" instead, reports National Geographic. If you don't know, a supermoon happens when the full moon "is closer to Earth than average," according to NASA. The combination of these two events meant people saw a moon that looked larger than usual as it lit up the sky earlier in the night.

If you're sad you missed this supermoon, you can catch the next two in November and December. The Nov. 14 supermoon is both the closest full moon of 2016 and the first one of its kind in the 21st century, which we won't see again till Nov. 25, 2034. The supermoon in December will occur on the 14th, and sadly, it means you won't be able to see the Geminid meteor shower.

To see what the hunter's supermoon looked like, check out the incredible photos ahead from around the world, and mark your calendars now for the next two supermoons. All it takes is peeking out your window the night of to catch a fun and amazing astronomical treat.
