The Simple Way to See All the Photos You've "Liked" on Instagram
Scrolling through Instagram and passively "liking" photos is nothing new. We all do it every day and probably forget about the meme we gave a heart "like" to. But as someone who follows travel bloggers or photographers on Instagram, I sometimes "like" something as a bookmarking tool. Whether you do the same or not, we've put together a quick guide on finding photos you've "liked" on the app.
Meet the Princess Who Dresses Better Than Kate Middleton
If you thought Kate Middleton had quite the fashion-forward wardrobe, perhaps you haven't been following the outfit choices of another royal: Princess Mary of Denmark. The polished dresser beat out the Duchess of Cambridge as most stylish royal - again! - in a recent poll conducted by Hello! magazine. Out of 30,000 readers, a whopping 30 percent were team Mary, a number that immediately sparked our interest.
So we went back into the archives and found plenty of Mary's chicest looks, which, truth be told, may be a bit more daring than those seen on Kate. Read on to see them all as we hold out hope for Kate this year.
7 Fashion Facts That Make Hailey Baldwin and Joan Smalls Sisters From Another Mister
Before you sit down with Hailey Baldwin and Joan Smalls on the same couch, you don't put them in the same category. Joan is a seasoned supermodel who's been walking the Victoria's Secret runway show since 2010, and she ranked No. 8 on Forbes magazine's highest-paid model list three years ago. Meanwhile, Hailey is just getting her start, solidifying relationships with big-name brands like Guess and Dolce & Gabbana. But spend five minutes with the duo, and you'll see they treat one another as if they were on the same level.
That's what's so great about the industry now: it's becoming more inclusive. Ads and magazine covers feature a wide range of women who differ in age, body type, height, and experience. I talked to Hailey and Joan about that progress before they stepped out to promote their new Karl Lagerfeld campaign at Lord & Taylor. Our conversation was positive and even eye-opening when you consider how many similarities the girls share. More than anything, it excited us for what's to come for both Hailey and Joan. Read on to start tracking their careers if you haven't yet, and get some ideas for holiday gifting too.

Hailey Baldwin and Kendall and Kylie Jenner Are Already Brainstorming Their Halloween Costumes
We can't 100 percent confirm what Hailey Baldwin and the rest of the supermodel pack's being for Halloween. We can, however, speculate. I hung out with Hailey last night while she and Joan Smalls promoted their new Karl Lagerfeld campaign. Before we chatted about the ad, we talked all things dressing up and also tossed around a few ideas.
Hailey will probably party with her best gal pals this year (that's Kendall and Kylie Jenner, FYI), and there will likely be a theme set in place. While we won't divulge all the details, we did hear Hailey mention a '90s pop-star theme, and we know exactly what outfits we'd want to see them wear based on their signature styles. Read on to see the costumes we picked out for Hailey, Kendall, and Kylie, and check back later to see what they ended up rocking on Halloween.
7 Sacrifices Your Oldest Kid Makes For Their Younger Siblings
Luckily for me, I was the youngest of four girls. They got to make all the mistakes first and "wear out" and "test drive" my parents before they got to me, the poor things. Hey, let's face it: after raising three girls, my parents were too tired by the time I came around. Truthfully, as younger siblings we don't truly give our older siblings the credit they deserve for "testing out" our parents first.
When you become a parent to more than one child, you begin to notice the way your parenting changes from one child to the next, resulting in these seven sacrifices your older child kind of has no choice but to make for their younger siblings.
1. You Hovered Over the Oldest Child and the Youngest Gets Have Freedom
Your oldest child was probably hovered over and fretted about, breaking you in so by the time the youngest kid came around, you gave your little one more freedom.
You could worry over the first kid - and maybe even the second - but by the last kid, the worrying was all done. Your youngest can thank your first child for that!
2. The Oldest Broke the Rules So You Could Learn What You Would Tolerate
Piercings? Cool.
Tattoos? Negatory.
Whatever the case may be, your older children broke the rules and in turn, your youngest child learned what you would tolerate . . . or not.
3. The Oldest Broke the Rules So Your Youngest Could Learn How to Pull One Over on You
Did your oldest get caught sneaking out because he was too loud, came back too late, or barely stuffed his bed the right way? Whatever stupid mistakes the oldest kid made, the youngest child will learn rather adeptly how to avoid making such tragic mistakes, which just means that sadly, your youngest will know how to pull the wool over your eyes!
4. The Oldest Wore You Out So You Could Become a More Lenient Parent For the Youngest Kid
Big sis didn't get to wear makeup until she was 30, yet the youngest got to wear mascara in the eighth grade?
Your little one can thank her sister for wearing you out so that by the time the last kid came around, you had no more fight left in you to care about such trivial things.
You just hoped your youngest was breathing and alive.
5. The Oldest Defended the Youngest So He or She Didn't Get in Trouble
The oldest sibling always defends the baby of the family because they can't help it. The biggest sibling never wants to see the baby in trouble (in most cases).
6. The Oldest Was the Guinea Pig Who Was Supposed to Be Perfect, While Your Youngest Could Just Be Themselves
The first child is the parents' guinea pig. We test things on our first kids and try to make sure we are the most perfect parents ever. Your oldest child was subjected to all of the "appropriate" parenting methods and pushed to do well in school and excel - by the time of the youngest's birth, you just sighed and said, "Let her be."
7. Your Oldest Will Stand at Bat For People Who Mess With the Baby of the Family Because That's Their Job
Your older kids were put on Earth to make sure no one messes with your youngest. Yep, that's their job. And even as your kids grow up, that won't change.

Every Wedding Calls For This Stunning DIY Dessert Buffet
POPSUGAR's own video host of Eat the Trend and Get the Dish had a stunning wedding in Malibu complete with the most amazing dessert table. If you're looking for inspiration for your own dessert bar complete with gorgeous cupcakes, candies, and more, read ahead for Brandi's story and see photos of every sweet treat.
My husband Chris and I both have a major sweet tooth, so when it came to choosing a dessert for our wedding, we decided to feature all of our favorite treats. It was so fun curating all of the candy and cookies we both love. Instead of using a traditional rectangle table for the display, we used a metal shelving unit from Cost Plus World Market. Not only did it make for a great way to feature all of the desserts, but it provided a beautiful backdrop for our sweetheart table.
My former business partner (we used to own Sweet Party Stix, a desserts catering company) and friend, Miranda Kelley, helped with the design and setup. She used apothecary jars, cake stands, shadow boxes, and mirrored platters for the sweets and placed them symmetrically on each shelf. I made the menu tents using one of my favorite watercolor fonts and rose gold cardstock.
We were beyond happy with how everything turned out. After our cake cutting, we opened the dessert table up to our guests, and it was like watching kids in a candy store filling their plates and to-go bags. I even got texts from family and friends days later with photos of treats they brought home.

The Most Popular Shoe of the Moment Is Actually a Flat
If you're someone who dreads the thought of slipping into sky-high heels, not to worry: the most popular shoe of the moment is actually a flat. Loafers have taken street style by storm, and are frequently spotted on bloggers, It models, and actresses while they're out and about. Better yet? This fancy-yet-comfy footwear option - which was pretty popular for Fall '16 - will still be in style come Spring, meaning it's worth it to invest in a quality pair, ASAP.
From jeans to skirts to tailored pants, there are more than a few ways to wear this classic shoe. Gather some loafer style inspiration ahead, then shop an option that catches your eye.
The 1 Piece That Will Keep Your Wardrobe on Trend All Season
I have a theory: more than anything else a woman is wearing, her jeans totally give her away. More than an It bag or the season's biggest shoe craze, denim trends quickly reveal how much you pay attention to current fashion. You could tell in 2008 who was staying up on what's in vogue when women started wearing skinny jeans and left their flares in the back of their closets, and you can tell now just as easily looking at the distressed, cropped hems, straight legs, and high rises characteristic of the new mom jeans that were popularized all over the streets during Fashion Week.
They're essentially a fashion girl calling card each season, an everyday sign of the times that puts a modern stamp on your outfit, regardless of whether you're wearing them with Fall's biggest blouse trends or your favorite years-old t-shirt. So you don't have to invest in all the trendy gear to give your look a contemporary twist - just a pair of good jeans. Read on to see the silhouette that's dominating Fall '16, then shop the styles for yourself. It's undoubtedly the easiest way to update your outfit for the whole season.

An Expert Shares What the 3 Most Common Mistakes Are With Deadlifts
Let's start with what you know: you should be doing deadlifts in your workout. Let's take that one step further with what you hate to admit: you can't stand doing deadlifts. That's common, but what you probably don't know is that you're very likely doing them wrong. And that isn't a small problem. In fact, doing a deadlift improperly could result in a serious injury or a minor recurring pain in the lower back at the very least. We asked certified personal trainer Heather Neff for the biggest deadlift problems and she gave us the solutions you'll need to be deadlifiting like a pro in no time!
1. You're Not Letting the Plates Touch the Floor
In between each rep, you should be releasing the barbell weights to the floor. You don't have to take your hands off of the bar completely, but you should be setting the weight down and releasing all tension in your body.
Why Is That Bad?
Your muscles don't have to stay under tension for long in order to see results. If you aren't releasing the weight to the floor with every rep you take for the simple fact that you want to feel the burn, you should probably add a bit more weight instead. Also, by setting the weight on the floor between reps, this will allow your back to rest and reset to neutral position, which will set you up for the next rep.
How to Fix It
Simply lower your weight all the way to the floor and release the tension completely. Allow your back to go to a neutral position and begin again.
2. You're Slamming the Bar to the Floor Between Reps
After you've come up to standing with your deadlift and then returned to the floor, if you are bouncing the weight off of the floor instead of setting it down calmly and with control, this might inhibit your strength.
Why Is This Bad?
By bouncing the weight off of the floor between reps, you're preventing yourself from getting the full tension of the entire rep. The weight, when bounced or slammed to the floor, may rebound to as far as your shins, so from your shins up, is where your strength will be and you will be weak from the floor to your shins. This also prevents you from resetting the back to neutral.
How to Fix It
If you're slamming down the weight or bouncing it off of the floor for the simple fact that you're losing strength, the best thing to do would be to lower the amount of weight on the bar to where you can perform the entire deadlift correctly from start to finish. If you are OK with the amount of weight that's on the bar, simply take it all the way to the floor and release the tension for every rep.
3. You're Leaning Back at the Top of Your Deadlift
As you lift the bar off of the floor and come to standing, you may find yourself arching your back and pulling the bar with you as your shoulders lean back behind your hips. You may see a lot of powerlifters doing this to show the judges that they've completely locked out.
Why Is This Bad
Leaning back at the top of a deadlift puts excessive squeezing pressure on your spinal discs. This can most definitely result in a herniated disc or other injury.
How to Fix It
As you come to the top of your deadlift to lock out, keep your back neutral and make sure that your shoulders are in line with your hips. Don't go any further.

Sheer Instinct Took Over When This Dad Was Forced to Deliver His Baby on the Front Lawn
When Candace Marie Bolden went into labor with her third child, she and her husband, Antonio Garland Nailing, left for the hospital. However, the Florida couple didn't make it very far.
Instead of waiting until they were settled at the hospital, their little boy, Gannicus, arrived on their front lawn. Even though this wasn't Candace's first time giving birth, she had been induced the previous two times and never experienced what going into labor naturally feels like.
She had been having cramps for a week, and when it started again one night, she assumed that it was Braxton Hicks contractions. She also attributed the severe pain to her fibroids, so she took Tylenol while timing the contractions. Candace made it through the night but told Babble that she was confused and unsure of why the contractions where becoming so intense.
Her water broke the next morning as she was calling the doctor and that's when it sunk in that she was about to give birth. "Tony's first reaction was, 'That's what I've been waiting for!' I guess you can say we were both in denial that I was in labor," Candace said. "By that point I could barely move but Tony kept saying I needed to push myself, 'We can do this we are going to the hospital!'"
Despite the pain and trouble walking, Candace made it to the front door but stopped when she thought she could feel the baby's head. "I told Tony that his head was emerging and he told me it wasn't, so because I couldn't see down there he pulled my pants down and saw as far as his eyes," she continued. "He immediately told me to lie on the grass and started coaching me to push and take deep breaths."
In just minutes of stepping outside of their apartment, Tony successfully delivered his baby boy and cradled the child on his chest until paramedics arrived to cut the umbilical cord. Instead of going into shock during this unconventional birth, Candace said that she watched her husband do something incredible: "[he] just followed his instincts."

Facebook's New Tools Will Make Buying Tickets and Getting Recommendations Easier
Facebook is trying to become the only app you need and use to plan your life - from making new friends to discovering events to attend. The social media company is taking the next step to do this by introducing a slew of new tools including mapping out any recommendations your friends make, seeing what events are happening in your city, ordering food, buying tickets to movies and events, and more.
The tools, announced in a Facebook blog post, are a strategic move to replace services like Yelp and Google. Instead of looking in Yelp for a great hair salon, you can ask your friends in a Facebook post and turn on the "recommendations" feature to see what your friends suggest, as well as a map of all the places mentioned. Or, maybe you're interested in finding out what cool events are happening in your area. Instead of googling, head to the events section and see what your friends are going to and what Facebook recommends for you. The last new features lets you buy tickets or book an appointment directly on a business' Facebook page.
It's definitely a smart move from the company to start competing more heavily with other tech giants. But, considering how scared people are to inject so much personal information into Facebook, it's unclear how much people will actually use these tools.
Each of these new features start to roll out to the US today, so you might be able to start testing them out now. Ahead, see what they look like and find out more.

Gigi Hadid's Halloween Costume Was So Good, We're Re-Creating It This Year
Look, Olivia Newton-John was a great Sandy Olsson in the movie Grease. No one could forget her rocking out in leather pants and an off-the-shoulder top at the carnival with Danny Zuko. But when Gigi Hadid walked the red carpet at Heidi Klum's annual Halloween party in 2015, the movie version of Sandy slipped our minds.
Gigi's flawless ensemble was put together by Monica Rose, the Kardashians' go-to stylist, and she pulled it off with ease. Wearing nylon high-waisted spandex from American Apparel, a crop top with a sheer panel from House of CB, and a lace-up leather jacket by Caroline Blomst, the supermodel attracted all eyes - even when standing next to Heidi or, erm, Jessica Rabbit herself!
Oh, and those striking red cutout heels that match Gigi's bright lip? They're by Louis Vuitton. Read on to see her gorgeous costume from every angle, which will remind you why you're hopelessly devoted to Gigi's killer style, then shop the pieces you need to re-create her memorable look.
Why Your Migraines Could Be Triggered By Wine and Chocolate
Though a migraine can be brought on by a combination of things, a recent study is outlining why certain foods and beverages may be to blame. In mSystems, a journal about microbiology, Dr. Brendan Davis explained the correlation between migraines and the consumption of food like processed meats, vegetables, wine, and chocolate.
Dr. Davis, a consultant neurologist at the University Hospitals of North Midland, found that people who frequently get migraines could have a different type of gut bacteria. Apparently, said gut bacteria is really efficient at processing nitrates - like those found in the aforementioned foods. While this sounds like a good thing, that efficient system actually produces an excess of nitric oxide in the bloodstream which then overworks vessels in the brain, thereby causing a migraine.
Dr. Davis arrived at these results by examining 172 oral samples and 1,966 fecal samples from people who suffer from migraines, yet are otherwise healthy. He ended up noticing that exhibited higher bacteria levels involved in their breakdown of food.
While this is unfortunate news for migraine sufferers who love chocolate, wine, and all that good stuff, these findings can at least shed some light on the painful headache disorder.

This 3-Year-Old Girl's Choice For a School Picture Outfit Is Nothing Short of Heroic
My daughter got to pick what she wore for her school pictures. Daddy approves from aww
Kaylieann is not your average 3-year-old - she's a superhero and she knows it. When her father, Austin Steinbach, asked Kaylieann what she wanted to wear for school picture day she didn't have to think twice before deciding on a Supergirl costume. In a Reddit post, Austin explained that his daughter has always loved Superman, but because she is 75 percent deaf in both ears and cannot hear the letter "S," she calls her favorite superheros "Pooterman" and "Pootergirl."
Picture day can be a nightmare no matter how old your children are, but when Austin and his wife picked out three outfit choices for Kaylieann, she had a better option in mind. "She walked up, looked over each of her choices, turned and said 'Pootergirl!' And well, I couldn't argue with that answer," Austin said.
He explained that his daughter often wears other costumes to her preschool, sometimes dressing up as Spider Man, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Anna from Frozen, and with Halloween coming up, Kaylieann definitely has some big decisions to make!
Austin has already addressed next year's school photo outfit: "I think this one is going to be hard to beat."

Skip a Skin Scare by Avoiding These Halloween Makeup Products
As a woman who loves Halloween more than Christmas, my skin has seen its fair share of horrifying moments. From prosthetics to cream makeup and everything in between, if it helps create the character I'm going for, I'm probably going to use it. But that doesn't mean my skin stops being scary after I remove the cosmetics.
I buy professional-grade theatrical makeup that is made to be safe for the skin. But it's hard to avoid picking up that paint set at your local drugstore when it's only $6, right? The thing is, it could actually be terrible for your - or your child's - skin.
Asia Vereline, master esthetician and general manager at Joanna Vargas Salon Los Angeles,
and celebrity esthetician Biba de Sousa explain how your Halloween makeup look can wreak havoc on your skin along with some alternatives to try instead. And if you still need makeup inspiration, check out our gallery of easy Halloween tutorials.
Cream Pigment
Those packs from the drugstore may be cheap, but consider how long they might have been in the warehouse. "Since it's a strictly seasonal item, it probably sits on the shelves at the Halloween headquarters for few years, and no one questions it," said Biba. They also have very little pigment, so you might not get the payoff you're expecting, either.
"They are baked on a low temperature and have low-grade ingredients that melt, and those ingredients will irritate the skin," she added. "So it's a double losing situation: the special-effect makeup not only looks bad, but it also disappears or gets misshaped quickly and stings and burns the skin."
Asia agreed when it comes to the ingredients. "Most Halloween makeup from the drugstore can have added colors that are not FDA-approved and waxes and oils that can clog your pores."
In addition to checking the FDA website to make sure the ingredients are safe, test a patch of makeup on your wrist or behind you ear to gauge if you'll react adversely or not. When it comes to picking a good cream, Biba suggested Kryolan Professional Make-Up, which is noncomedogenic; according to Asia, you can also use a primer to act as a barrier between the product and your skin.
Glitter
Glitter can go from zero to 60 real quick. It may seem obvious, but always go for cosmetic glitter, because it's made for your face. Craft glitter is pretty, but oftentimes the particles are large and sharp, which doesn't bode well if it ends up in your eye.
With the right glitter, Asia said the easy way to apply it to your face or body is to mix it with a bit of coconut oil or aloe vera, both of which are good for the skin. However, if you're putting glitter over water-activated makeup, you might want to skip the oil.
Fake Blood
Fake blood can be extremely irritating to the skin on top of staining everything. The last thing you want to do is attend a party and leave behind a bloody hand print that can't be removed! Instead, make your own fake blood. "It's better than the petroleum-based fake blood at the stores, which will definitely clog your pores," said Asia.
If you want to DIY fake blood for clothes, one option is to mix a red pigment with dish soap. This will help lift the color out of the costume if you plan on wearing it again (and not destroying it!). For the face, corn syrup and a cut of old red lipstick will do the trick. Try this nifty toothbrush trick to get the perfect splatter.
The Surprising Superpower You Didn't Know You Had
I can think of a whole list of superpowers that would help me out where parenting is concerned. Invisibility, for one thing, would allow me to discern who really "started it." Warp speed would come in handy when someone inevitably knocks over that glass of milk at dinner or when a chubby-legged toddler runs straight for the road. And superhuman strength would make carrying our bazillion dollars' worth of weekly groceries a cinch (all in one trip, naturally). Of course, I don't possess any of these - no parent does. But we do have one superpower that we don't give ourselves nearly enough credit for having: PATIENCE.
I know what you're thinking - I'm exaggerating. Patience a superpower? But stop to consider for a moment how difficult being patient actually is. And how many times a day, a week, a month that we have to drum up as much of it as we can . . . sometimes, it seems, from a nearly-depleted supply. We may consider ourselves to be generally impatient people - I mean, Amazon Prime features one-day shipping for a reason - but we need to give ourselves a collective pat on the back. We possess much more patience than we give ourselves credit for.
We possess much more patience than we give ourselves credit for.
This superpower first develops during pregnancy. Think about it: nine months is an extremely long time. We have to wait for the better part of a year to meet our babies. If someone showed me the most awesome Pinterest project ever and then said, "This will take you approximately nine months to make," I'd laugh and start searching online to buy it ready-made.
Projects are tiny facets of our lives; we work on them for a little bit when we have time, then put them aside until our next few free moments, focusing entirely on other things in between.
But pregnancy is an entirely different story - it's a "project" we literally can't put down. We're working on it, worrying about it, and trying to improve it from the time we wake up in the morning until the time we fall asleep at night. There's nothing we can do to speed up the process, so right from the start we are taught that there are some things that just can't be rushed - especially where parenting is concerned.
The demand for patience doesn't stop when the baby is born. We are patient with them as they learn to roll over and to sit up. We're patient as they learn to walk, helping them up when they fall, guiding them again and again as they wobble around on unsteady little legs. We're patient as they learn to talk, repeating sounds and words until they're able to say them; as they learn to eat, moving slowly from liquids to solids and awkwardly learning to get the food to their mouths. And that's just in infancy.
In toddlerhood, patience becomes a whole new ballgame as they enter the "I do it myself" stage. Their brains think they can handle everything; their pudgy fingers and underdeveloped fine motor skills say otherwise. But they try anyway - attempting to stuff feet into shoes, painstakingly fumbling with buttons and zippers, tugging on seat belts, wailing in frustration as they fail over and over again. (Yet heaven forbid we dare to offer assistance.)
There's potty training, where we perch them on the porcelain throne and twiddle our thumbs while they do everything but poop and pee - and then clean up seemingly endless messes as they do their business everywhere besides in the toilet, a process that sometimes drags on for months.
We patiently try to decode what they're saying when they mispronounce words or come up with unique phrases ("Exactly which one is your 'thumb toe,' sweetheart?"), and translate for them when they speak to others. We sit through yet another episode of Dora the Explorer. We slow our pace when they insist on walking, and wait for them to go to sleep through "one more story" and "one more drink" at least five times every night - even when we can practically hear the couch calling our name.
Expecting yourself to have more patience is like expecting a runner to stop mid-marathon for an aerobics class.
We look over their shoulders, biting back our tongues as they sound out words in books. We teach them to tie shoes and ride bikes. We watch as they work out math problems, erase them, and work them out again. We listen to long, convoluted stories about friends, TV shows, and Minecraft, whether we're interested in the subject matter or not. As they get older, we are patient through the attitude and eye rolls, watch them make mistakes (mostly without saying "I told you so"), and help them through the aftermath of said mistakes, even though we warned them in the first place.
Patience. You may not feel like you possess nearly enough of it. You may feel it wearing dangerously thin and berate yourself for not being better at keeping it. But if you stop to consider how much patience you actually do have - and have sustained, every single day, for weeks and months and years - it's pretty impressive. Expecting yourself to have more is like expecting a runner to stop mid-marathon for an aerobics class.
So the next time you're gritting your teeth and trying to ignore that twitch in your eye, remember this: patience is a superpower. Just give your invisible cape a confident toss, take a deep breath, and keep on being the hero you've been all along.

How to Pack Your Lunch For Optimum Weight Loss
You're feeling pretty proud of yourself, strolling into work, carrying your new Bistro Bento with a lunch you packed from home - take that, crazy calorie counts at cafes! But wait - your lunchbox is filled with an 800-calorie serving of homemade mac and cheese. Yikes! While bringing lunch from home can be healthier than heading out at noon, it doesn't mean it's automatically the magic key to dropping pounds. Follow these three tips when packing lunch to ensure you lose weight.
1. Fill It With These Two Things
While a sandwich is one of the most popular choices on the bagged lunch menu, it's not necessarily the best choice for weight loss. Carbs may fill you up, but they can also make your brain foggy and your body feel heavy - which means feeling too tired for that afternoon run and an increased craving for a sugary pick-me-up later. Instead, go for fiber and protein. The fiber takes longer to digest so hunger pangs won't cause you to reach for more calories soon after lunch ends. And the protein will sustain your energy. Aim for at least 10 grams of fiber and at least 15 grams of protein.
2. Do the Math
Since weight loss is a matter of calories in vs. calories used up, it's important to count calories to make sure you're not exceeding your daily limit. Have a specific number in mind for each meal and snack so you don't mindlessly pack lunch - remember that even healthy foods can be high in calories. Depending on your daily calorie intake, this midday meal should be between 400 and 500 calories. Use a website such as Calorie King to help you add up your food, Calorie Count for recipes, or a trusted calorie-counting app to help you keep track of the rest of your meals and snacks.
3. Open Up and Smile
There's already a lot to consider: lunch needs to be healthy and filling, it needs to be low in calories, but it also has to taste good so that you want to eat it and feel satisfied when you're done. You have the best intentions when packing a baby kale salad, but if your taste buds aren't into it, your cravings will convince you to find something better. Speak to your specific desires, and find healthy ways to quench them. That may mean finding ways to lighten up your favorite comfort foods or throwing in a few squares of dark chocolate to satisfy your postmeal sweet tooth.
Here's a sample lunch that utilizes all three of these tips. In the vegan lunch shown in the photo above, the salad is packed with grapes for added fiber and topped with chickpeas and sunflower seeds for additional protein. On the top right is quinoa mixed with black beans, which offers even more fiber and protein. On the bottom right, there are fresh apple slices (more fiber) smeared with homemade mixed nut butter (more protein plus healthy fats) to satisfy dessert cravings. Here's the breakdown:

- 2 cups baby spinach: 14 calories, 0.2 grams fiber, 0.3 grams protein
- 10 carrot slices: 12 calories, 0.8 grams fiber, 0.3 grams protein
