1 Mom Is Fuming Over This Sexist Toy Aimed at Girls

"It's 2016 people. Fisher-Price needs to step it the F up and show women working in all types of fields and in leadership roles," writes Gina Zuk Gerber in a post to Facebook sharing a photo of a Little People toy aimed at young girls. The toy, a pink-and-white SUV, comes with a "a clearly mom-looking figure" and the tagline, "Time for yoga and a smoothie!" - and Gerber isn't very happy about it.

My son's favorite toys growing up were Little People. I always just grabbed the fire truck or barn and didn't think much about it. Today when shopping for toys for Anna I was disgusted to see the "girl" versions of Little People. The only ones with all girl figures were all smothered in pink and purple, they worked in interesting places like the "home," and they all lacked the multiple educational elements the "boys" toys had.

After publicly sharing the post to Facebook, it's clear that Gerber isn't the only person who feels so strongly about this line of "girly" toys - her commenters are just as riled up. "Because all women do is yoga and sip smoothies," one wrote. "Oh, Fisher-Price, you screwed up big time!"

Why the Liquid on Top of Your Yogurt Matters

You sit down at your desk, grab a yogurt container from your lunchbox, carefully pull back the foil lid, and see a familiar sight. A thin layer of clear liquid is sitting on top of the creamy goodness below. You have two options here: pour it out or mix it in. So what do you do?

Although it may gross you out, what you should do is grab that spoon and stir it all together, and here's why. That liquid is known as whey (yes, like Little Miss Muffet's curds and whey). Although it consists mainly of water, whey also contains a little bit of protein, potassium, and calcium. Stirring in the whey not only adds nutrition to your yogurt but also offers a creamier consistency.

If you don't like seeing the whey separated at the top, try this instead. Before pulling off the lid, shake the container, like you do with orange juice. Then when you open it, the whey and yogurt will already be mixed up for you. This is also a good trick if you prefer yogurt with fruit on the bottom. Then just scrape the lid on the edge of the container to avoid wasting any yogurt.

17 Forgotten Jennifer Lopez Outfits That Will Overwhelm You With Nostalgia

Jennifer Lopez doesn't just wear trends, she creates and propels them. This can especially be said about her over-the-top, glamorous and oftentimes gaudy style in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Though she went through many sartorial phases, her velour tracksuits, hoop earrings, and crop tops defined the era. J Lo's style has since evolved, naturally, but we can't help but feel nostalgic about some of her forgotten outfits. Ahead, we've rounded up our 17 favorite ones.

Nut-Free Snacks For Moms Who Buy in Bulk

With a lot of schools making moves toward being completely nut-free, it's getting harder for parents who aren't already conscious of nut-free snacks to find alternatives to send their child into school with - not to mention having to bring in individually wrapped foods with the nutrition label on it for safety reasons.

If your child has a nut allergy, you know the drill, but if you are new to this nut-free lifestyle, we've compiled a list of various packaged snacks for you to consider throwing into your child's lunchbox this school year. And the best part? They can all be bought in bulk from wholesale stores* like BJ's, and Sam's Club - buy-in-bulk-moms rejoice!

*Not all varieties are available in each of these stores - check the websites for local listings and more information. And remember, always check the label just in case for the warning "Manufactured on equipment that processes products containing nuts," or something similar.

Gigi Hadid's Halloween Costume Was So Good, We're Re-Creating It This Year

Look, Olivia Newton-John was a great Sandy Olsson in the movie Grease. No one could forget her rocking out in leather pants and an off-the-shoulder top at the carnival with Danny Zuko. But when Gigi Hadid walked the red carpet at Heidi Klum's annual Halloween party in 2015, the movie version of Sandy slipped our minds.

Gigi's flawless ensemble was put together by Monica Rose, the Kardashians' go-to stylist, and she pulled it off with ease. Wearing nylon high-waisted spandex from American Apparel, a crop top with a sheer panel from House of CB, and a lace-up leather jacket by Caroline Blomst, the supermodel attracted all eyes - even when standing next to Heidi or, erm, Jessica Rabbit herself!

Oh, and those striking red cutout heels that match Gigi's bright lip? They're by Louis Vuitton. Read on to see her gorgeous costume from every angle, which will remind you why you're hopelessly devoted to Gigi's killer style, then shop the pieces you need to re-create her memorable look.

Why This Little Boy's Luke Skywalker Costume Is Unlike Any You've Seen Before

While many Star Wars fans are either looking to The Force Awakens or the highly anticipated Rogue One for Halloween costume inspiration, one young fan is going with a classic option.

On YouTube, Clint Case shared his son's Luke Skywalker costume that is a pretty perfect replication of Luke sitting atop a tauntaun, the lizard creatures introduced in The Empire Strikes Back.

The proud dad - and likely maker of the DIY costume - initially shared the video on Facebook. The accompanying caption read, "In tough times like these, all the world needs is a boy and his tauntaun." After receiving many shares and comments, Clint then uploaded the video to YouTube, where it's gone viral. It now has over 22,000 views, 500 "likes," and 56 comments, and counting!

We Have a Lot of Questions After Listening to President Obama's Workout Playlist

In his recent gig as a guest editor for Wired, President Obama shared his 10-track workout playlist on the magazine's Spotify account. After listening to it in its 45-minute entirety, however, we've got some questions.

The playlist starts off with The Black Eyed Peas's encouraging "Let's Get It Started." The playlist then takes on a more laid-back tone with Nina Simone's "Sinnerman." Perhaps this is his stretching song?

The following two songs from Sting and The Isley Brothers, respectively, are upbeat and groovy and sound like the ideal playlist of dads across the nation. Then there's Icona Pop's "Emergency." A recommendation from his teenage daughters, Sasha and Malia, maybe? The president then shows off his hipster side with a song from New York-based Brazilian band Forro in the Dark.

Then there's Beyoncé. No workout playlist is complete without Beyoncé. The high-energy "Get Me Bodied" is followed by a Jay Z and Drake collaboration, "Off That," and two positive cooldown songs: Bob Marley's "Could You Be Loved" and Courtney Barnett's "Elevator Operator."

Listen to President Obama's unexpected playlist.

Chocolate Mauve Is the Delicious New Color Trend You Should Try This Fall

As we seek out dye inspiration for our next salon appointment, we're keeping very specific characteristics in mind. The style should be luminous, blend well with our natural hair hue, and flatter our complexion. Bonus points if the color verges on subtle, making it appropriate to rock in the workplace. We've just found the Fall color trend of our fantasies: chocolate mauve hair.

Instagram user @HannahThePainter aka Hannah Edelman, who owns the Bushwick-based studio Brush In Hand, took to Reddit to flaunt the above color masterpiece.

Using colorful hues of Pravana Vivids, she re-created natural brown tones mixing purple, orange, pink, and other shades. "The darkest brown started with red, yellow, and green. Then I added orange and purple and other random sh*t until I liked what I saw," Edelman explained.

Her client (Marlena) is naturally a brunette and had the roots to match, so the colorist custom-blended five different tints: dark brown, a warm medium brown, mauve, and two different pink tones.

"I took irregular sections of her hair, always on some kind of diagonal, and painted them. Most of them are color melted," Edelman told POPSUGAR via email. By melting the different brown hues into mauve, or mauve into pink, she created delicate variations of the original five shades. "That gave this look a subtle dimension, almost an iridescence," she said.

As for the placement of the color, Edelman painted light brown around Marlena's face per her request, then painted mauve and light pink on her top layers of hair, concentrating darker colors on lower layers. "Even though the color is unnatural, following the light/dark placement that occurs naturally is always a good idea," she shared. "I think that's what makes this toe the line of natural and unnatural."

That said, you may need some prior color experience to achieve this look. (Edelman noted this color would work well on "lucky people who are naturally light blond.") Otherwise, you'll need to transition your strands to a paler shade. Edelman had lifted the majority of Marlena's hair to a level 10 blonde, the lightest possible hue. After the client had grown about three inches of dark roots, Edelman used the balayage technique to connect her natural color to rainbow hues.

"The balayage transition makes this color low maintenance," she told POPSUGAR. "She won't have to worry about roots for at least three months." Edelman remarked that this type of look will fade back to blond in about this amount of time, making it ideal for someone who always wants to switch up their style.

According to Edelman, her client was looking for a "toned-down but not totally normal" hue as she'll soon be job hunting. We think she totally nailed it! If you're now on a quest for a salon that can dye your hair a similar color, this colorist advises that you search for someone who specializes in using Pravana Vivids. "Vivid work isn't something many people care to specialize in because it's a niche," she noted. Alternatively, you can ask your colorist for a full head of balayage, then a mauve toner or a color melt using semi-permanent light brown and mauve tints. Keep reading to see this gorgeous look from all angles!

The Ultimate Guide to Color-Correcting For Your Skin Tone and Concern

Color correctors aren't exactly what we'd call "self-explanatory" when it comes to figuring out what shade to apply where. That's why many of us opt for a simple, flesh-toned concealer instead. However, while concealer is an awesome complexion perfecter, color-correcting products can actually work more effectively at erasing any skin woe, from acne to dark circles and hyperpigmentation.

The theory behind it is simple: contradictory shades cancel each other out. Remember the color wheel you learned about in grammar school? Well, it actually applies to your makeup routine in this case, because hues from the opposite end of the diagram work together as a power camouflage duo.

Though color correctors are miracle workers for unmanageable skin, it can still be hard to decipher the exact placement when applying. So we tapped celebrity makeup artist and beauty expert Neil Scibelli to help us create this handy face map to effectively outline how to color correct your way to looking #flawless. The next time blemishes or under-eye shadows plague your look, use this guide to cover up like a pro.

25 Selfish Things Moms Should Do For Themselves

Today's parents have it easy, according to those who went before us. Modern conveniences like video baby monitors, iPads, double electric breast pumps, and toys that do just about everything for you are designed to make our lives easier. But we are also living in the age of the child-centered home, where so much of what we do is dictated by our children's needs. So much so that mommy guilt prevents us from doing so many of the things we would want to do - acts that seem selfish when there are kids in the picture. "Shouldn't you be spending quality time with your kids instead of going for a manicure?" a little voice in our heads screams. "Shouldn't you be spending that money on an educational toy instead of a double latte?" it says.

It's hard to drown out the little voice, but we're here to tell that it's OK to be selfish. It's OK to do things for yourself. It's OK to do something that doesn't benefit anyone but Mom. Here are 25 things you should do for yourself (maybe not all at once, but over time) and never feel guilty about.

  1. Go out with the girls.
  2. Hire a babysitter so you can get some sleep.
  3. Keep the "good" cookies for yourself.
  4. Hurry the kids to bed so you can catch your favorite show (before your friends on Facebook start spoiling it).
  5. Skip the PTA meeting to get your nails done (just once, but it's OK).
  6. Forgo Kidz Bop in favor of the real thing so Mom can enjoy it too (just make a lot of noise during the bad words).
  7. Make your favorite foods instead of your kids'.
  8. Call on the grandparents (or friends or neighbors) for a sleepover so you can get a good night's sleep.
  9. Lock your bedroom door so you and your partner can get some much-needed private time.
  10. Lock the bathroom door so you can pee in peace.
  11. Notice there is only one scoop of ice cream left and pretend it is all gone so you can eat it.
  12. Spend your free time reading something that interests you - not a parenting article, not a news article, but something you want to read.
  13. Take time to exercise daily.
  14. Swap said exercise time to sit at a coffee shop and watch the world go by.
  15. Buy yourself a piece of jewelry instead of 10 pieces of junk jewelry for your kids.
  16. Take a vacation day from work for some retail therapy - for yourself.
  17. Sit in your empty home and enjoy the quiet time, not thinking about cleaning up.
  18. Delete your kids' shows from the DVR to make room for your shows.
  19. Send the kids outside to play so they don't mess up the rooms you just cleaned.
  20. Enjoy that business trip because it includes a quiet night of dinner and sleep by yourself.
  21. Get a massage just because.
  22. Scrap your plan for dinner and order a pizza when you've had a long/bad day.
  23. Ignore the to-do list for an hour and enjoy the peace and quiet of their being at school.
  24. Find an excuse to go out and wear your "pre-mom" clothes.
  25. Find time for a hobby that has nothing to do with work or your kids - just because you enjoy it.

11 New Slang Terms to Memorize If You Want to Stay Cool

Tumblr, YouTube, and Twitter have been leading the slang game recently. "Snatched" is officially the new "fleek," "sis" is the new "bro," and adding "boots" to the end of any adjective is totally a thing. Read on to learn all the new slang words the cool kids on the Internet are using.

The 1 Piece That Will Keep Your Wardrobe on Trend All Season

I have a theory: more than anything else a woman is wearing, her jeans totally give her away. More than an It bag or the season's biggest shoe craze, denim trends quickly reveal how much you pay attention to current fashion. You could tell in 2008 who was staying up on what's in vogue when women started wearing skinny jeans and left their flares in the back of their closets, and you can tell now just as easily looking at the distressed, cropped hems, straight legs, and high rises characteristic of the new mom jeans that were popularized all over the streets during Fashion Week.

They're essentially a fashion girl calling card each season, an everyday sign of the times that puts a modern stamp on your outfit, regardless of whether you're wearing them with Fall's biggest blouse trends or your favorite years-old t-shirt. So you don't have to invest in all the trendy gear to give your look a contemporary twist - just a pair of good jeans. Read on to see the silhouette that's dominating Fall '16, then shop the styles for yourself. It's undoubtedly the easiest way to update your outfit for the whole season.

Kendall Jenner Inspired Me to Go Braless - and I'll Never Look Back

There isn't a ton that Kendall Jenner and I have in common: I'm not a top model, my family isn't rich or famous, and I definitely don't have people - fans, paparazzi, the media, etc. - dying to know my every move. But one thing KJ and I do share? The fact that genetics have blessed us with fairly small chests. Only I wasn't as happy about it as she was.

Growing up, and especially in high school and most of college, I was obsessed with wearing a bra, solely because I hated the way my clothes - and maybe my body in general - looked without one. A quick trip the store? I "needed" to wear a bra. Sleepover with friends? That baby wasn't coming off. I didn't own a single piece without padding because life and my outfits looked "better" with cleavage.

Even after gaining confidence as I got older, you'd rarely catch me without a little something to give me a little something. But then, in 2014, something changed: Kendall Jenner truly exploded onto the fashion scene, rocking a fully sheer top in Marc Jacobs' Fall '14 show - and it turns out the girl, small chest and all, didn't care a bit that she was exposed. Later that year, she showed up at Coachella in a sweatshirt that said "I Have No T*ts," and was soon (and still is) speaking out about her love of going braless and showing her nipples. She admittedly thinks it's a sexy look.

"I really don't see what the big deal is with going braless," Kendall wrote in a blog post on her site called "Free the Nipple". "I think it's cool and I really just don't care! It's sexy, it's comfortable, and I'm cool with my breasts. That's it!"

Perhaps it's because I frequently write about the model for work, but slowly, I've started to see what Kendall is talking about. Through street style alone, she and other women have shown me that a variety of outfits do look good sans that extra support, even more so if you have small breasts. More importantly, Kendall seems supercomfortable and confident with her body, and I've started to feel silly worrying about how I looked in certain shirts or whether or not someone can see my nipples. (The no-nipple thing has truly started to seem weird to me - it's just a body part!)

It's strange to type, but Kendall going braless and then talking about it inspired me to do the same. Bodysuits that show some side-boob? I'm down. Dresses where even a strapless bra will stick out? It's time to go au naturel. I'll now take trips to the store, meet up with friends, and even spend date-night dinners without a bra, and it's a lifestyle/trend I've grown to love.

So if you're addicted to your bra like I was, dare yourself to ditch it for a day. I promise, once you try it, you might just feel freer, more confident, and - just like Kendall - a bit sexy, too.

This Is How You Can Get Selena's Amor Prohíbido Look Using Her MAC Collection

When I heard MAC had partnered with Suzette Quintanilla to launch a collection inspired by Selena's most iconic beauty looks, I could barely contain my excitement. All I could think about was re-creating her gorgeous brows and superpigmented lips from the Amor Prohíbido album cover - my favorite Selena album as a child - and a few days before all 13 products in the highly anticipated collection hit maccosmetics.com on Oct. 1 and MAC stores around the US on Oct. 6, I got the chance to do it.

The MAC team allowed me to try the products ahead of the launch and sent its senior artist Chantel Miller to coach me through the whole thing. Straight ahead, you'll find the step-by-step that'll allow you to create Selena's beautiful makeup if you got your hands on the products, too. If you didn't, don't worry - we got a list of shades that will serve as replacements.

Victoria Beckham Just Set an Industry Record With Her New Target Collaboration

For the first time ever, Victoria Beckham is trying her hand at children's wear. But that's not the only reason we're amped up for her Target collection, which will debut April 9, 2017, and includes 200 items for ladies and kids in a wide range of sizes. Victoria chose to base her new pieces off the playfulness in her Victoria, Victoria Beckham line. That means a range that's equally as wearable as it is bold and hopefully splashed with recognizable prints. (We're sure there will be a few mommy-and-me styles available too.)

But before we get to see the clothes, we've got every reason to consider the collab's inclusivity. For the first time ever, every size will be available in stores and online, ranging from XS to 3X for women and New Born to XL for babies, toddlers, and girls. Victoria even plans to sell select designs on her own site, so customers can shop internationally.

"I can reach so many more women through working with Target. It's not just because of the price point but because of how many stores that they have, located all around America. These are women that I haven't been able to reach out to in the past, and I always say that I want to empower women and make women look like the best versions of themselves. That shouldn't be only people who can afford to spend a certain amount of money," Victoria told Business of Fashion.

Read on for a first look at the new logo and announcement, then check out our predictions for the new pieces you'll be adding to your closet come Spring. You might want to get in line right now - the limited-edition collection will only be available for one month or until supplies last.

This DIY sugar scrub recipe incorporates real roses to give it a gorgeous pink color and rose essential oil for antiaging benefits. Plus, it smells amazing! Try using day-old roses for the best results.

This Insane Halloween Prank Would Probably Make Us Move to a Different City

One man's Halloween prank is terrifying residents of his town and yet absolutely delighting the people of the internet. For his prank, the man attached a Grim Reaper-inspired Halloween prop to a flying drone and gave the prop a leisurely tour of his (formerly) quiet town.

The man's nephew recently shared the prank on Twitter with a caption that read, "So my uncle got a drone now he's f*cking with people." That tweet now has more than 120,000 retweets and 220,000 favorites.

While the prank feels a tad cruel for innocent pedestrians and passersby, we have to admit, it's pretty freaking hilarious.

A Bride Danced to Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" as a Stormtrooper and It's Amazing

Some weddings involve a beautiful rotation of gorgeous dresses, and others include a full-on first dance with stormtroopers and Beyoncé. For Kathryn Holloway and Philip Wood's wedding, the pair asked the dancing group Boogie Storm to don their stormtrooper outfits and perform a routine for the first dance. If you're unfamiliar with Boogie Storm, they are well known for competing on Britain's Got Talent and impressing Simon Cowell so much, he hit the gold buzzer. The group did a similar routine to the one from the show for Holloway and Wood's wedding, except with one surprise: Holloway was a stormtrooper herself and danced with the group as a wedding present to her husband.
