You're Going to Want Every Item in Hot Topic's Fantastic Beasts Clothing Line

If you're counting down the days till Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them arrives in theaters, you can celebrate a bit early with Hot Topic's newest clothing line focused on the film. Hot Topic will sell coats, tops, and dresses inspired by the movie - perfect to wear to the premiere!

The clothing line includes nine pieces, with sizes ranging from XS-2X and plus for women, XS-3X for men. The entire line will only be available to purchase at HotTopic.com or at stores beginning Nov. 8. However, these clothes will look a little different from previous collections; since Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them takes places in the 1920s, the clothing line was also inspired by that era.

It's a pretty affordable collection, with prices starting at $29 for a shirt and one of the most expensive items costing $80 for a Newt Scamander coat. The coat includes a special, sewn-in wand pocket - to easily access your wand, of course!

Check out some of the collection ahead, and start buying your favorites on Nov. 8.

How to Decide If Your Baby Should Be Eating Organic Food

Discover organic baby food for healthy growing, from our friends at Fatherly.

Your kid might soon be ready to start eating something that does not come out of a boob or a bottle. Welcome to the new era: an era of weird baby faces, jacked-up floors, and anxiety about why they'll only eat things that are brown (which may include furniture, BTW). But, among all of the things you'll have to decide about your baby's new nom-ing habits, whether or not to buy organic is one you can knock out pretty easily. It's at least easier than deciding if you should just cover your kitchen in visqueen for the next several years (yes, you should).

What Does Organic Even Mean

The United States Department Of Agriculture (USDA) is responsible for defining organic for American food production. Interestingly the rubric says nothing about how many culturally appropriated white-dude dreadlocks the organic farmer must have. Instead, organic foods must be:

  • Free of synthetic pesticides
  • Produced without added hormones
  • Grown without synthetic fertilizers or sewage
  • Brought to market without irradiation or bioengineering

Interestingly, just because a farmer can't use synthetic pesticides, doesn't mean they can't use pesticides made of natural ingredients. Which means that organic produce probably didn't get protection from pests thanks to a hippy chick hanging out in the field saying "shoo!" between massive bong rips.

Is It Healthier?

The thing is, organic foods don't contain any additional nutrients or vitamins. However, they're more likely to contain crappy chemicals and additives you might not want around your baby's sensitive developing system. Even the American Association of Pediatrics (AAP) agrees that having your kid eat a variety of good fruits and veggies is way more important than whether or not they're organic. So it really does come down to personal choice. And budget. Because while organics might not be healthier they are hella pricey.

How To (Kind Of) Eat Organic

If you don't want to spend a bajillion dollars, there is a solution that totally allows you to split the difference in organic eating and money saving. The good news is that your pesticide problem is found largely in fruits and veg that require you eat the skin. That means there are plenty of things you don't need to buy organic. Here are 10:

Avocado: Your guac rocks

Pineapple: Nature's grenade

Onion: Who cares if those are organically produced tears. Not you!

Cabbage: Because it just kind-of grows without help

Sweet Peas: Remove the pod for your pea. All safe.

Sweet Potatoes: An important baby food group unto itself

Mango: As long as you figure out how to cut the damn thing

Kiwi: Down with the fuzz

Eggplant: Though why anyone is planting eggs is anyone's guess

Asparagus: What's that smell? Oh, it's your kid's pee.

Of course, for younger babies only a couple of these make sense. However, you can definitely build a cheapo sweet potato puree diet and kids go bonkers for mangos, kiwi, and avocado, which are super simple to mash for early gumming / spitting.

As your kid gets older, you can start thinking about whether or not you want to give them organic milk or meats. That's a whole other animal. (You get it.)

The Reason Chrissy Teigen Never Wears Flats Is More Complicated Than You Thought

Chrissy Teigen may be quite the jokester, but one thing she never kids about? Her outfits, which are always sleek, on-trend, and something to covet, especially when it comes to her footwear. But as fans of the stylish star, we've started to notice a little something: she's always in heels and hardly ever rocks flats. It wasn't until earlier this year that Chrissy even dared to wear sneakers outside of the gym.

So when we met up with Chrissy to discuss her Stella Artois partnership and "Host One to Remember" campaign, we asked her about her heel obsession and if she did, indeed, have a favorite pair of flats.

"I only wear heels," she told us, going through a list of reasons that support her decision (and bringing back memories of the old, stiletto-loving Victoria Beckham).

"I'm very uncomfortable in flats. My calves are actually abnormally tight, [and I'm] flat footed and very relaxed in a 6-inch heel. It's very bad for your lower back, and I have to see a chiropractor twice a week because of it, but, yeah. I can't even wear Havaianas flip-flops because I don't like things in between my toes. Ballet flats look goofy on me because you can see the shape of my foot through them."

But as for sneakers? Chrissy would make an exception - if they were trendy enough.

"I'd say unless it's a Yeezy or something that just makes me feel cool, that's pretty much the only thing that's going to happen. Those or Common Projects. You know how some people get away with those cute white [sneakers] with their little shorts? I look so silly. I look like I'm playing dress up as Skipper or something."

Scroll through to see some kicks that have Chrissy Teigen's approval, then check out her impressive heel collection.

The Best Dieting Advice You'll Hear This Thanksgiving

For anyone on a diet, Thanksgiving can be a pretty stress-inducing holiday. Anxiety sets in as you wonder if your plate has hit the 2,000-calorie mark or if you should to take that second helping of mashed potatoes, knowing they contain butter and cream. Guess what? It's OK to take that second helping.

Thanksgiving is a one-day event, which means it can be sandwiched between a routine of healthy eats and workouts. While you shouldn't treat the day as an eating competition, it's definitely the time to let go of any guilt you may have based around food. So take a breath, give yourself a break, and enjoy the holiday. The last thing you want to do is deprive yourself, which can often be a catalyst for overeating later.

Our advice? Start the day off with one of these healthy, high-protein breakfasts, fit in a morning workout if you can, and then enjoy all that homemade goodness when dinner rolls around. Come Friday, if you're feeling like you went a bit too overboard, you can always find simple, safe, and healthy ways to give your body a little detox.

This Little Ballet Flat Is the Season's Hottest Shoe

Lace-up flats have become almost a staple part of our wardrobes, but Miu Miu changed the whole game with a pair that will make you feel exactly like a ballerina, and a very cool one at that. If you had a love affair with your ballet slippers as a girl, these will make you feel like you're stepping back into your old shoes, only reimagined with a punky set of buckles and mismatched black and grosgrain straps that tie up the ankle. Like the Chanel slingbacks of last season, this trend is quickly becoming iconic, popping up on the streets on the heels of fashion bloggers and influencers everywhere (and inspiring plenty of copycats along the way).

We've likewise fallen for the look, which manages to be both nostalgic and fresh, tough, and totally feminine. It might just be Fall's perfect statement shoe. Read on to see how the style set's wearing theirs, then take the plunge and grab a pair while you still can.

The answers are mixed, but one particular point stands out: Jared Padalecki, aka Dean, is on Team Jess! Say what?! Give the video a watch to see which side your favorite characters are on, and you might find yourself reconsidering your own choice. (Unless, of course, you're already on the right team. Anyone Can Hack Into Your iPhone Using Siri - but There's 1 Way to Stop It

Our phones are never truly safe, and one security expert and YouTube video are proving that. Both the expert and YouTube user have found a new way someone can hack into your iPhone and access your photos - just by using Siri.

Graham Cluley discovered the hack and detailed it on the blog Hot For Security. To access your photos and contacts, all someone has to do is ask "Siri who am I?" and Siri will show your phone number and a series of options. The hacker then calls your phone from a different one and selects to answer the phone call via text message. Once you're on that screen, you can ask Siri to turn on "Voice Over." At this point, to access your private photos, all the hacker has to do is go back to the text message screen and tap on the area where your contact's name is and then tap on the keyboard right after. Once that's done, you can create a new contact, and by selecting "add photo," you can see all of the photos on the iPhone.

However, Cluley states you can avoid this for now by going to Settings > Touch ID and Passcode > Disable Siri on Lockscreen. If you're curious about how this hack works, watch the video by YouTube user EveryApple Pro below.

This isn't the first time someone found a way to hack into an iPhone using Siri. Hopefully, Apple releases a security update soon that addresses this issue. For now, turn off Siri on your lock screen and take as many steps as you can to prevent any type of hacking.

What You Need to Know About the Whole30 Diet

Tens of thousands of people have taken on the Whole30 program, a monthlong clean-eating program that promises a bevy of health and emotional benefits. Developed by Dallas and Melissa Hartwig, a husband-and-wife team with backgrounds in sports nutrition, anatomy, and physical therapy, the program aims to reset your metabolism and reshape your relationship with food.

After a co-worker read the essential Whole30 text, It Starts With Food, and took on the challenge, I was interested to see what all the hype surrounding this monthlong "diet" was really about.

What Can I Eat?

On the surface, the Whole30 menu looks a lot like the Paleo diet (low carb, high protein), but think of it more as an elimination diet, except there's no 80/20 balance either - no cheating, no indulgences for one month. For one month, it completely strips away "hormone-unbalancing, gut-disrupting, inflammatory food groups," considered to be grains, sugar, dairy, alcohol, and legumes. Equally as important as eliminating these groups is not to be tempted to "junkify" their old favorites - for example, a meaty "Paleo pizza" or "coconut-flour pancakes" are off-limits. For Whole30 participants, it's not about stretching the rules of the diet to their furthest limits. It's about learning to enjoy whole, clean, simple foods that fuel your body.

The Promises

The program promises a laundry list of potential benefits, such as improved body composition, higher energy levels, better quality of sleep, improved athletic performance, and a reduction of food cravings, particularly when it comes to sugar and carbs. Participants have chimed in with their testimonials, crediting the Whole30 program with everything from clearing up acid reflux to complete elimination of autoimmune disorders. Beyond the physical benefits, the Whole30 program aims to reshape "long-standing, unhealthy patterns related to food, eating and your body image."

The Verdict

While a rigid diet with no allowance for indulgences is not sustainable over time, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to push yourself for a month - sometimes drastic times call for drastic measures! The Whole30 program could be a good option for individuals looking to give themselves a healthy reset or discover what food sensitivities they might have. But before you sign on board, it's essential to read their book that outlines the program to make sure it's right for you.

This Time-Saving Hack Will Forever Change the Way You Chop Vegetables

Chopping vegetables is one of the most tedious, time-consuming, and messy cooking tasks. Thankfully, there's an ingenious shortcut you can take using a tool you probably already have: a food processor. When making recipes that call for veggies with a fine or rough chop, like onions, carrots, celery, and mushrooms, you can throw them in your food processor, pulse a few times or until they reach your desired size, and voilà. You've chopped your vegetables within a matter of seconds, and there's no knife or cutting board to clean. This method works especially well for chopping garlic, too. If you don't want to get your hands sticky and smelly by mincing garlic with a knife or grating garlic with a microplane, simply toss the peeled, whole cloves into a food processor, and pulse on high until they're pulverized into perfectly tiny pieces.

The Dress That Works For Every Holiday Party You Have Planned Is Not an LBD

LBDs may be timeless. They may be "chic." They may work for every occasion and all that good stuff. But this holiday season, we've got something different and slightly statement-making in mind: a tea dress. The style is equal parts feminine, power woman, and modest, meaning it'll work for any type of event you've got planned. Plus, the added bonus? It was also pretty popular on Spring '17 runway, so if you snag one now you'll be way ahead of the curve.

Scroll through to for a bit of runway inspiration, then shop the options your in-laws, best friends, and even Kate Middleton would approve of. Then add a pair of boots and be on your stylish, merry way!

Newt Scamander Totally Appeared in a Harry Potter Movie, You Just Didn't Know Him Yet

This weekend, you'll be getting to know a new lead character in J.K. Rowling's wizarding world: Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), the wizard at the center of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Though the film takes place several decades before the events in the Harry Potter series, Newt's story still references Harry's world heavily - but did you know that the character of Newt made an appearance in one of the original films, 12 years before Fantastic Beasts?

In 2004's Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Fred and George Weasley memorably gift Harry the Marauder's Map. As they explain how to use the massively-useful tool, which shows you where anyone in Hogwarts is at any given time, a strange name appears. Yep: Newt Scamander.

Obviously, it's just his name and not Redmayne himself, but the connection is now mind-blowing. What else is weird is that this bit of movie trivia was noticed by eagle-eyed fans years ago, before the Fantastic Beasts franchise was even in development (Warner Bros. announced plans for the films in 2013).

Of course, Scamander was a character of sorts as the author of the Hogwarts textbook of the same name as the new film, but was Rowling planting the seed for him to play a larger role in the universe, even then? And considering how much earlier Newt's story takes place, he'd be pretty elderly as he's hanging out at Hogwarts. Still, it makes us even more eager to see where Newt's story goes after this first installment.

14 Ways The Crown Gets the Royals Wrong

Ambitiously lavish and costing a rumored $130 million to make, new Netflix drama The Crown has won fans around the world since the first 10 episodes dropped on No. 4. The jewels are painstaking replicas of the real thing, the filming locations include 10 stately homes around the UK, and there are over 20,000 costumes worn. But how much of what we see on screen is fact and how much benefits from a little sprinkling of showbiz fiction? The production has been scrupulously researched and much of what is depicted is true to life, but as with any great retelling, it also benefits from a little dramatic embellishment.

  1. In the opening scenes, we see King George VI coughing up blood into the toilet, but given the series opens in 1947 and the king wasn't diagnosed with lung cancer until four years later, it's unlikely he was exhibiting symptoms at this point. However, the king was in poor health for much of his later reign, so this is an effective device to depict that.
  2. At Princess Elizabeth's wedding, assorted floral displays are positioned around Westminster Abbey, whereas in real life, there were only two floral displays used - one either side of the altar - because of postwar austerity.
  3. Princess Elizabeth is portrayed as being very nervous on her wedding day, stumbling over her vows and needing to be prompted. However, a real-life letter from the king to his daughter afterward reads, "You were so calm and composed during the service, and said your words with such conviction."
  4. Princess Elizabeth's and Prince Philip's wedding was attended by his mother, but although she is depicted in the show wearing a nun's habit, that is not how she attended in real life. She did wear her habit to the queen's coronation, however.
  5. Cine-camera footage marking the one-year anniversary of Princess Elizabeth's and Prince Philip's wedding is captioned, "Twelve months later, eight months pregnant," when in reality, the princess celebrated her first wedding anniversary with a six-day-old Prince Charles.
  6. When King George had his lung removed, his anxious family is shown all gathered in the room next door, when in reality it was just his wife who was present. Queen Mary was at Marlborough House and visited afterward, Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip were at Clarence House and came in the evening, and Prince Charles and Princess Anne were in Scotland.
  7. When the king knows he is dying and calls for his daughter Elizabeth to sit with him as he works, she asks what paperwork is sent over by the government. However, it seems unlikely that at the age of 25 she wouldn't already know this. This is, after all, a young woman who has always been conscientious and aware and on her 21st birthday gave a speech where she showed a deep understanding of her future role.
  8. There is no record of Prince Philip making insensitive remarks to the Kenyan dignitaries he meets on his first royal tour. It's likely this is used as a way of portraying how he has become known over the years for making diplomatic faux pas.
  1. In the wake of the king's death, Princess Margaret's married lover, Peter Townsend, is cautioned by his senior about the affair, saying that everyone is talking about them. However, it was reported in the royal biography Snowdon that at that time, the affair was not common knowledge.
  2. A dramatic moment in the show comes courtesy of a letter written by Queen Mary to her granddaughter the new queen, advising her of her role and responsibilities. In real life, however, there was no such letter. Queen Mary did have a close relationship with her granddaughter though and had always taken a great interest in her royal development.
  3. When Prime Minister Winston Churchill advises the new queen to move from Clarence House to Buckingham Palace and retain the surname Windsor instead of her husband's Mountbatten, she resists. Later she seeks the counsel of her uncle the Duke of Windsor and changes her mind on both issues. The general consensus is that the queen is not likely to have sought his advice in this way.
  4. In the episode featuring the great fog, we're drawn into the intriguing relationship between Winston Churchill and his secretary, Venetia Scott, but in real life Venetia didn't exist. It's likely the government scenes could have come across as a little flat, and so a fictitious character was brought in to add more emotional depth to this part of the story.
  5. The great fog didn't create as much of a panic as was depicted either, because Londoners were used to thick fogs. A doctor who was alive at the time recently said, "there was no sense of drama or emergency." The impact on mortality was only realized afterward, and there is no record it caused conflict between Churchill and the queen.
  6. One of the biggest plot points that has been refuted is Prince Philip's reticence to kneel before the queen at her coronation, as there is no record of it happening. Philip did struggle with his own life taking a back seat, but he came from royalty himself and understood how is worked as a concept, so it seems unlikely that he would have had a problem with this.

Kayla Itsines Just Broke 5 Guinness World Records With a Massive Boot Camp

It really feels like 2016 was the year of Kayla Itsines - replete with a world tour, jaw-dropping client before-and-after transformations, and amassing a multimillion-person fan base. Itsines ended November by breaking five Guinness World Records. And how? With squats, of course.

The BBG founder and trainer and her partner Tobi, CEO of the Bikini Body Training Company, hosted a boot camp today with over 2,200 members of the BBG Community at the Melbourne and Olympic Park in Australia. Together, that group broke records of the most people performing different exercises at once. Here are the official stats:

  • Most people performing jumping jacks – 2,192 participants
  • Most people running in place simultaneously – 2,195 participants
  • Most people doing sit-ups simultaneously – 2,005 participants
  • Most people performing lunges – 2,146 participants
  • Most people performing squats – 2,201 participants

"Working as a team to not just achieve our fitness goals, but also to break these records today really proves that we are the largest and most influential fitness community in the world," Itsines said in a press release. According to UK outlet Burton Mail, an attempt was made to break the squatting record earlier this year with 900 to 950 people, which Itsines and the BBG community easily surpassed with their massive crowd. Guinness World Records official adjudicator Solvej Malouf came out to verify the new records set by Itsines, Pearce, and the community. The records were some of many broken today as part of the 12th annual Guinness World Records Day.

And if you've ever wondered why her fans are so loyal and dedicated, look no further than this example: in true BBG fashion, Itsines celebrated the moment by giving "an inspirational and moving BBG Community member" a $5,000 check to be donated to her charity of choice, as well as a $5,000 travel voucher for her to spend with her family.
