The Benefits of a Mason Jar Baby Bottle Will Honestly Shock You
To say that mason jars, once used solely by farmers and home canners, are everywhere would be a gross understatement. Thanks to Pinterest, they're now ubiquitous at weddings (particularly those located inside a barn), restaurants, and high-end home goods stores. Walk into any hipster's house, and you're sure to see one being used as a terrarium.
Despite their overwhelming reach, we just never expected they'd also find a much smaller demographic: babies.
Laura and Sebastian Belmar, parents who sought a nonplastic alternative to baby bottles but found safer glass ones to be prohibitively expensive, decided to create a prototype of a nontoxic baby bottle using a mason jar.
But before you assume that this is just another gimmick to steal money away from DIY-loving hipsters, the Mason Bottle - which won't go into production until the couple's Kickstarter campaign raises $25,000 - really does serve many surprising time-saving (and cost-effective!) purposes for new parents.
- The wide mouth of mason jars makes them easy to clean, without the need for special bottle brushes or pipe cleaners.
- Because mason jars are temperature-resistant, extra breast milk can be stored in the same bottle you used to serve the baby - in both the fridge and freezer.
- Breastfeeding parents won't have to deal with plastic milk storage bags that are messy, prone to leaking, and single use.
- The width of the jars makes them a natural fit for a baby's hands.
- Parents who already own mason jars - which happen to come in the standard four-ounce and eight-ounce bottle sizes - only need to purchase the nipples!
- The nipple can invert into the jar for easy storage and sterile transport so that you don't even need a cap, which makes the bottle completely plastic-free.
- When the jars are done serving as baby bottles, they can be repurposed into containers for baby food or as sippy cups.
Or, of course, for your holiday centerpiece, or to make candleholders, or as a cocktail shaker, or to mix salads, or for . . .

Hearing Jennifer Garner Telling Kids to Go the F*ck to Sleep Will Be the Highlight of Your Day
When it comes to celebrity moms, no one epitomizes the role quite like Jennifer Garner. The mom-of-three (Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Sam, 4) personifies the role of the modern mom both on screen and off. But sometimes, even celebrity moms really just want their kids to go to sleep. And they're just as likely to lose their patience as we are, begging their kids to just go to sleep already.
Which is probably why hearing the star of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day and the upcoming Miracles From Heaven read Adam Mansbach's expletive-filled children's book Go the F*ck to Sleep for Vanity Fair is a video made in heaven.
Lounging poolside, Garner, who's been extremely candid about her split from Ben Affleck recently, uses her trademark sugary-sweet voice to implore her children to go to bed with lines like, "I know you're not thirsty, that's bullsh*t, stop lying. Lie the f*ck down, my darling, and sleep."
Watch the video and enjoy, knowing that you're not alone in your expletive-filled nightly routine!

11 Netflix Hacks to Make Binge-Watching So Much Better
Source: POPSUGAR Photography / THEM TOO
Calling all Netflix fans! Whether you binge-watch or just occasionally browse, your streaming experience is about to get so much better. Sure, sitting back and watching all your favorite shows is easy enough, but you can also sync up and watch with a friend, improve what Netflix suggests, and much more. Read on to see how you can improve the experience and make your next Friday night in an amazing one.
- Clear your history: Are you embarrassed about giving into nostalgia and watching an old episode of Gilmore Girls? You can easily shake that by heading into "Your Account" on the top right corner and clicking on "Viewing Activity." From there, just tap the "X" to clear whatever it is you watched.
- Improve Netflix's suggestions: If you want Netflix to give you better ideas of what to watch, click "Personalize" at the top of the Netflix homepage and you'll be guided through a series of questions. The answers you choose will help Netflix pick out better shows and films to watch.
- Use only high-quality playback: Some of us just want to watch in the best resolution possible when we're at home and it's super easy to set that up. Head to your account again, tap on "Playback Settings", and set your preference to high.
- Save your data plan: Watching Netflix on the go has its perks, except when it comes to your data plan. In order to use the least amount of data possible, head back to "Playback Settings" and set it to low.
- Change the size (and color!) of your closed-captioning: You'll find this setting in your account, under "Subtitle Appearance". Click on that and you can change the size, font, shadow, and color of the text.
- Kick your ex off your account: It's no secret that we all share passwords for streaming services, but sometimes those relationships end and it's time to get back what you pay for. To kick someone off your account, head to "Settings", tap on "Sign out of all devices", and boom - now that person can't get back into your account!
- Memorize all the keyboard shortcuts: There are several, but the most useful ones are hitting "F" for full screen, "M" to mute, "Enter" to play and pause, and using the up and down keys to adjust the volume. For more advanced users, hitting shift and the left arrow will rewind a show, and holding shift and the right arrow will fast forward.
- Get a slew of extra information about shows and movies: With the NEnhancer, a Google Chrome extension, you can see IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes ratings, trailers, and plenty more that will help you pick out a great movie or show. If you don't want to download the extension, Rotten Tomatoes has a section devoted to what you can watch on Netflix (and other streaming services).
- Watch with your friends: Thanks to a handy Google Chrome extension, Showgoers, you can sync up and watch something with your friend at the same time. Both of you just need to install the extension and pick a film or series, and it should sync flawlessly.
- Pick something to watch without trying: It's always hard to choose a single movie or show, but two websites exist to solve that. Flix Roulette lets you set a preference and it will choose a movie for you. A Good Movie to Watch has movies you might not have heard of to watch on Netflix.
- Skip those pauses: Indulge in your binge-watching and use Netflix Pause Removal, a Chrome extension that lets you skip the 15 seconds in between episodes.
Looks like "Netflix and chill" just got a little easier.

Never Lose a Family Memory Again With Google's New Photo-Scanning App
There might be nothing I love more than going home to my parents' house and looking through old photos from my childhood. The only problem? I now live 3,000 miles away from them and I can't exactly take all these photos with me. That's where Google's new app, PhotoScan, comes in; the new app will scan and digitize old prints - without the glare and hassle that comes with a scanner.
PhotoScan, which is available for free on iOS and Android, is easy enough to use. Place the photo in the frame and take one photo. The app will then guide you to move the camera around three different dots. The end result is a photo that's stitched together and eliminates glare. You can also edit the photo and make adjustments before saving the photo to your Camera Roll and the Google Photos app.
The app should save you countless of hours scanning photos or teaching your parents how to do it properly. Plus, you can carry these photos in your phone - easy enough to use for a quick #TBT photo on Instagram. Watch the video above to see how it works.

10 Big Questions We Need to See Answered in the Gilmore Girls Reboot
There's about one month left until the Gilmore Girls reboot, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, airs on Netflix, and the plot speculation seems to get wilder every day. While there have already been a good number of details released about the reboot so far, there's still plenty to theorize about. Fans likely have many questions about what they'll see on Nov. 25, and these are just 10 of the biggest ones. So grab a slice of pizza, make like Rory Gilmore, and keep reading.
1. What's going to happen with Luke and Lorelai?
Ah, Luke and Lorelai. They tortured us for so long. The series finale in 2007 left us hopeful that these two would stay together after finally reuniting, but hardcore fans definitely need more reassurance - especially after Lauren Graham's unsettling comments about the couple's future earlier this year. Since the relationship between these two has always been such a central part of the show, it seems only logical that it will be a main plot point of the reboot. Will we see Luke and Lorelai in another unsteady journey to the aisle? Or maybe we'll be strung along until the last moment in agony?
2. Will Rory go back to an old flame?
We already know all of Rory Gilmore's Big Three boyfriends - Dean, Jess, and Logan - are making appearances in the reboot. Who knows what they've all been up to since the finale, so perhaps one (or more, knowing this show) of them will recapture the younger Gilmore's eye again. (Show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino stands firmly on Team Jess by the way, haters!) Then again, maybe Rory will end up with someone completely new, or she could simply stay a strong, independent woman all on her own.
3. What happens with Rory's writing career?
The series finale sees Rory about to hit the road to cover Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign, so clearly she is destined for quite a career path. While a production photo of the reboot suggests that Rory might be teaching at her alma mater Chilton, an Instagram snap from another cast member points toward Rory writing for the Stars Hollow Gazette. Either way, this seems far from the path she was headed toward, so what happens in between? Does she just miss Stars Hollow too much? Time will tell.
4. How have the Gilmore girls been affected by Richard's death?
One thing Gilmore Girls fans could always count on was the tumultuous relationship between Lorelai and her mother. Just when it looks like things are going well, something happens to drive a wedge between them again - and many times that wedge is Rory herself. But since the finale, one major thing has changed the lives of all the Gilmore women forever: the passing of Richard Gilmore (which was worked into the reboot due to the passing of actor Edward Herrmann in 2014). Sherman-Palladino has revealed that Richard's death will have a significant affect on Lorelai, Emily, and Rory. Will Lorelai and Emily be brought closer together by their loss? Has the tragedy put even more strain on their relationship?
5. Did Sookie and Jackson really end up with four kids?
Sookie and Jackson are the definition of #relationshipgoals in the original Gilmore Girls, but when Jackson tells Sookie that he wants to have "four in four" - that's four kids in four years - she balks at the idea. When Sookie does end up having two kids later on, however, she of course ends up being a fantastic mom. At the end of the show in 2007, Sookie is pregnant again, so perhaps by the time we return to Stars Hollow the couple will have gotten to number four!
6. What's happening with all the Stars Hollow regulars?
One of the best parts of Gilmore Girls is without a doubt the large cast of iconic minor characters: worldly and provocative Miss Patty, uptight and unrelenting Taylor Doose, and of course, the ever-quirky Kirk, just to name a few. The reboot just wouldn't be the same as the show we remember if it didn't give at least some insight into how those characters are faring in Stars Hollow - even if they're just the same as always.
7. How is business at the Dragonfly?
Opening an inn of their own had been Lorelai and Sookie's dream for years, and when they finally achieve their goal with the Dragonfly Inn, it's a huge success. Stars Hollow has the perfect kind of small-town charm that draws tourists, but has the inn kept up its momentum over the years? Are there more horses? Yanic Truesdale is confirmed to return as Michel - has he lost his mind over annoying guests yet?
8. Is Hep Alien ever getting back together?
Let's face it, Lane's band is one of the best parts of Gilmore Girls, and no doubt the coolest band to come out of small-town Connecticut. Not only does it feature some of the most entertaining guest characters on the show (*cough Gil cough*), but it's also how Lane meets the love of her life, Zach. We know that Keiko Agena is returning as Rory's BFF Lane Kim, so we can only hope that her bandmates will make an onstage appearance.
9. Are Paris and Rory still close?
We will always love Lane Kim, but one of the most significant friendships in Rory's life is the one with Paris Geller. From competing in high school to competing in college and all the arguments in between, they always come back to each other in the end. While it's pretty much a given that Paris goes on to kick some serious ass as a doctor after the show ended, it's less likely she does it while being a social butterfly. Rory is there whenever Paris needs someone, whether she likes it or not. Perhaps in the reboot, Paris will end up on Rory's doorstep midcrisis once again, to seek the advice of her best frenemy.
10. What are those final four words?!
The reboot will end with four words (like Sherman-Palladino had originally planned for the show, before she left following the sixth season), and Lauren Graham revealed those words will be spoken by Lorelai and another character. And sure, you COULD skip to the end of the last episode when it comes out on Netflix and find out right away. But why would you do that to yourself? Oy with the poodles already, people!
The Best, Most Chilling Horror Movies of 2016
We're nearing the end of 2016, so it's time to look back and take stock. As avid fans of the horror genre, one of the most exciting parts of each new year is the slate of upcoming horror movies (a few of which have come out this Fall). Scott Hoying Teases Plenty of Holiday Cheer in Pentatonix's Christmas Special
Pentatonix has certainly been at their top of their game this year. Aside from taking home another Grammy, they have been nonstop busy performing across the globe. While they recently wrapped their tour, they still have plenty of projects in store, including their upcoming NBC Christmas special, which airs on Dec. 14. As part of their partnership with Ricola, POPSUGAR recently had a chance to sit down with Pentatonix's Scott Hoying, and he got in the holiday spirit by talking about his favorite Christmas song, why Kelly Clarkson is a true saint, and how he's been blessed this year.
POPSUGAR: What has been the most memorable moment from this tour?
Scott Hoying: That's really, really hard to say. We've been to 25 countries this year and done 81 shows, so there's been a lot of very memorable moments. One memory that really sticks out, because it was so much fun, was when we went to New Zealand for the first time this year. All of us on the crew and in the band took this little road trip to the middle of nowhere and went to Hobbiton, where they filmed The Lord of the Rings movies, and I just remember everyone was in such a good mood and we were having so much fun, but honestly, that's just one of dozens of incredible moments that have happened this year.
PS: I also love your new Christmas album, A Pentatonix Christmas. Which song did you have the most fun recreating?
SH: I think that "Hallelujah" was a very special song to us. That particular arrangement and recording process was such a journey because there were so many changes we kept making to it, but I'm really happy with how the final product came out. To see that song particularly doing really, really well is really fulfilling and exciting.
PS: What is your favorite Christmas song to perform?
SH: We recently sang "Oh Come All Ye Faithful" for our Christmas special, which was really fun. "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays" was also a really fun one to perform. Anything upbeat and Christmas-y that puts me in the Christmas spirit is definitely my favorite.
PS: I'm also really excited for your NBC special! Have you already taped it?
SH: Yes, we've taped most of it. We are really, really excited about it, too. It went so well and the fans were amazing. We just taped some more stuff yesterday and I think people are really going to enjoy it.
PS: What was it like reuniting with Kelly Clarkson?
SH: It was so great! We picked up right where we left off. She is the most humble, sweet, genuine, hard-working artist in the business. When we went to her house, she was so welcoming and she just brought us in. She just had so much energy and was so fun. She loves to talk and catch up. She's just so easy to be around.
PS: Does the band have any special holiday traditions?
SH: You know, it's funny, we don't as a band because Christmastime is the only time we make sure that we don't have a gig. So, our Christmas tradition is to not be together. It's our time to relax and be with family and relax and recharge.
PS: Going off the holiday spirit, how would you say you've been blessed this year?
SH: The fact that we won a Grammy this year is still hard to totally process. That was such a blessing. Also, the fact that our entire Pentatonix camp is full of really kind, loving, hard-working people has been such a positive experience. Every single person, from security to hair and makeup, is really getting along and it's such a happy environment. That's really rare with an artist or a group, so we are really blessed to have that.
PS: What are you most looking forward to about the new year?
SH: As a band, we've really found how we click as a group and musically. All of our voices are getting stronger and better and we're all maturing. It's definitely been a huge growing year for us. So, I'm just excited for the next year, and the year after that, to see where we head, because I feel like we're going in a very positive direction.

This May Be the Absolute Cutest Holiday Collaboration of 2016!
Every year, Shu Uemura (the cool L'Oreal beauty brand, currently only available in Canada or via e-commerce!) puts out one of the most festive holiday collaborations of the season. Past collections featured French fashion house Maison Kitsuné and Karl Lagerfeld's famous cat, Choupette.
However, this year may be our favorite yet! Shu teamed up with contemporary Japanese artist Takashi Murakami to outfit some of the brand's most beloved products (such as the cleansing face oil and eyelash curler) as well as newbies (like lipsticks and colorful palettes) in his iconic psychedelic flowers.
The 25-piece collection ranges from $24 for an eyeliner pencil that won't smudge for hours to a $450 makeup trunk. Keep reading to see every image of the new goods, and then shop it at shuuemura-usa.com. If this doesn't give you some early holiday cheer, we don't know what will.
Do NOT Roast Your Turkey Without Trying This Foil Hack
When I visited Butterball to participate in turkey-roasting training, I learned a fascinating trick: this "coil of foil." As a turkey roasts, you want all that hot air circulating around as much of the bird as possible, so the bird cooks faster and more evenly. To do that, the turkey needs to be elevated off the bottom of a roasting pan. While some seasoned cooks may own a roasting rack to get the job done, I, like many, don't. But that's OK because it can be hacked with a "coil of foil."
Simply take a large piece of heavy-duty foil, crunch it into a long tube shape, and press it into a ring shape. Then place it inside your roasting dish. Be sure to spray it down with cooking spray or oil (along with the tray itself) before placing your turkey on top. Hello, golden skin and perfectly cooked turkey!

If you don't have a meat thermometer and would rather not buy one just for Thanksgiving, there are a few steps you can take to make sure your turkey is fully cooked and not overcooked. According to the experts behind the Turkey Talk-Line at Butterball, this is exactly what you need to do to ensure a fully cooked yet still moist bird.
1. Find out the cooking time based on the weight of your turkey.
Using the turkey-cooking calculator is the easiest way to find out how long your turkey will need to cook based on its weight. A 20-pound turkey will take three and a half to four hours to cook at 325°F.
2. Don't peek!
Although it's tempting to check on your turkey, opening the oven only lowers the temperature and prolongs the process, potentially screwing up your initial estimated time. Keep the oven closed until you're about two-thirds of the way through to check on it for the first time. If the turkey breasts are getting too browned too quickly, cover the turkey in a tent of foil. If they don't look browned, feel free to skip that step.
3. Keep your eye on the thigh.
The deepest part of the thigh muscle is the very last part of the turkey to be done. The internal temperature should reach 180°F. To check for doneness without a thermometer, pierce the thigh and pay attention to the juices: if the juices run clear, it's cooked, and if the juices are reddish pink, it needs more time. Put the turkey back in the oven and check again after a short time.

There's Officially Game of Thrones Wine, So You Can Drink and Know Things
The wise Tyrion Lannister once said, "Everything's better with some wine in the belly." And now the folks from Game of Thrones are making sure that fans can always have wine in their bellies with a brand-new line of officially licensed wines, made in collaboration with Vintage Wine Estates. So whether you aspire to become "the god of tits and wine" or simply aim to "drink and know things," take a page out of Tyrion's book and grab yourself a bottle (or three) of these Westeros-worthy varietals.

The wines will be available in Spring 2017, which means they'll be on shelves nationwide in time for the show's seventh season return. According to HBO's press release, the three wine options are Chardonnay ($20), a red blend ($20), and Cabernet Sauvignon ($40) - so they may not be Tyrion's favorite Arbor gold, but these Sonoma wine-country varietals sound like the next best thing.
See the gorgeous bottles and label details, then start planning your King's Landing-inspired wine cellar. It's what Tyrion would want.
