Curious about the behind the scenes of one of the most budget-friendly grocery stores in America, one that attracts 32 million customers each month? Read ahead to get the scoop.
There's a reason prices are so low.
"We're obsessed with value, and by taking a simple approach to grocery shopping, we're able to keep our costs down. We don't have hidden expenses because we choose to save shoppers money rather than have nonessential grocery store services like in-store banking, pharmacies, and check cashing. We also skip the fancy shelving and keep our products right in their display boxes, which saves us (and our shoppers) time and money. We are dedicated to reducing our impact on the environment. So we ask our shoppers to bring their own reusable grocery bags or buy a few at checkout to use for all their trips to Aldi. At our stores, shoppers also pack their own groceries to keep our checkout lines moving."
There's a strategy behind the mandatory purchase of a cart for a quarter.

Here's How to Use Snapchat's 5 New Features - Including Creating Group Chats!
Group chats are finally coming to Snapchat in the app's latest update. Send snaps and messages to your friends in one chat, versus switching to text messaging to talk about what you just sent.
Snapchat's update is available today and easy to use. Start a group chat from the chat screen or after creating a snap. Like regular chats, whatever you send in a group chat will be deleted in 24 hours - whether or not everyone in the group has opened it. You can also use Bitmoji, stickers, voice, and video notes in the new feature.
Along with the group chat feature comes "Quick Chat." If you want to talk to a friend privately from a group chat, tap on their name and a new chat will start. This should help you avoid one of the greatest struggles of group chatting - talking to one person in a chat and blowing up everyone's phone.
In the same update, Snapchat is also introducing two new edit features and Shazam! The first new edit feature is the Scissors tool. Tap on the scissors icon, snip away at your favorite part in a snap, and a sticker will be created from it! With the new Paintbrush tool, turn any photo from your memories into a new photo that looks like it belongs in a museum. 1. Pack in layers:
Layer clothes, electronics, then clothes again inside a carry-on so the TSA agent can quickly see what's in there. This strategy also works better than the cram-everything-in-your-bag strategy once you unpack at your destination.
2. Wrap the cords:
A tangle of cords could look like something potentially harmful if it's viewed a certain way, which could mean a more thorough and time-consuming bag check. Wrap cords around their devices, pack chargers together in one bag (ziplocks work!), and take advantage of rubber bands and twist ties to keep them tangle-free.
3. Keep big items in your carry-on:
Not in checked bags. Laptops and DVD players have to come out of your bags at screening checkpoints, but they won't fare well in checked bags unless you're down with a TSA agent potentially digging them out.
4. But know what can stay inside:
Don't forget: tablets, ereaders, laptops, and gadgets smaller than a 13-inch laptop can stay in your carry-on. All other electronic devices need to come out.
5. Get a TSA-friendly bag:
Of course, you could just get a TSA-friendly bag for your laptop, which will glide right through the checkpoint without a problem. TSA-approved bags provide a clear and unobstructed view of the device inside through the X-ray scanner. These can be one of three styles: sleeve style, butterfly style, or trifold style. They won't have pockets, metal zippers, snaps, logos, emblems, or other branding that can obstruct the view of the laptop in the X-ray scanner, and they can only house the laptop. Other items like chargers, cables, and accessories should be packed separately.

Macarons: Don't Confuse Them With Macaroons
It's high time we set the record straight: the word "macaron" is not an alternate spelling of macaroon. In fact, the two terms refer to distinctly different things. Both macarons and macaroons are confections, and both names are derived from ammaccare, which is Italian for "to crush" - but that's where the similarities end.
A macaron specifically refers to a meringue-based cookie made with almond flour, egg whites, and granulated and powdered sugar, then filled with buttercream, ganache or fruit curd. The delicate treat has a crunchy exterior and a weightless interior with a soft ending that's almost nougatlike in its chewiness. To add to the confusion, it's often called a French macaroon.
In contrast, the word macaroon is a generic phrase that is applied to a number of small, sweet confections. Mostly, the term is equated with the moist and dense coconut macaroon, which is composed of egg whites, sugar, and dried coconut, often piped with a star-shaped tip, and sometimes dipped in chocolate. The coconut macaroon, or congolais, as it's known in France, is frequently served during Passover because it contains no flour.

Everything We Know So Far About the Nicole Guerriero x Anastasia Beverly Hills Collaboration
The team behind Anastasia Beverly Hills always has an exciting launch in the works (recent incredible products include the Holiday Glow Kit, the Makeup by Mario palette, and a full range of brushes). Claudia, the brand's president, just revealed an upcoming collaboration: a partnership with beauty influencer Nicole Guerriero.
Nicole, who has nearly two million Instagram followers and almost three million subscribers to her YouTube channel, shared a behind-the-scenes video from the campaign. "I can't wait for you babies to see the goods," she gushed to her fans.
