Google's Year in Search Video Will Give You Hope For 2017
Get the tissues ready - Google's done it again. The company released its annual year-in-search video that recaps some of the year in two minutes.
This year's video starts off with different tragedies that occurred this year from the Nice attacks to the Orlando shooting to the crisis in Aleppo. It then switches over to moments where people around the world came together to help one another and, most importantly, to remind each other there is love in the world.

Is Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life Season 2 Happening? Here's What We Know
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life was supposed to be cut-and-dry. One season for Amy Sherman-Palladino to properly wrap up the series she started and for fans to get closure with their long-lost friends. Instead, those infamous Last Four Words opened new doors in a way that we didn't expect, leaving us with even more questions that we came in with.
Warning: major spoilers below!
Rory is pregnant, so what does that mean for the series? If this were a regular show, it would just be a cliffhanger until we find out who the father is next season - but it's not just a regular show anymore. Is it Logan's baby? A Wookiee child? At no point in the series did she seem to long for a child; did she enlist Paris's help to be a surrogate for Lorelai and Luke? Will this haunt us for the rest of our lives??
That certainly seems to be Sherman-Palladino's intention. Before the new episodes premiered on Netflix, she teased the ending to Entertainment Weekly. "We got the ending that weirdly was supposed to be the end of the series. They could've done something in season seven that would've changed our ending and that would've been OK, but they didn't . . . I knew it from the very beginning, I really did. And it was only because I knew where I wanted the show as a series to go."
Netflix currently has no plans for a second season of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. But hey, that doesn't mean that it definitively won't happen. We'll keep you posted!

The newest trend in YouTube makeup tutorials is unexpected voiceovers, and if you liked this dad-joke-filled version, you'll crack up at vlogger Casey Holmes's take. She opted to enlist her charming boyfriend Davis for the task, but he took the challenge one step further by pregaming with some moonshine. The result is a charmingly tipsy narration.

Wondering What Happens to King Ezekiel in The Walking Dead's Comics?

We've only just met the charismatic King Ezekiel on The Walking Dead, but he's already made a pretty huge impression. In the second episode of season seven, Carol and Morgan meet the leader at a new community called the Kingdom. This settlement is a little more rose-tinted than Rick's Alexandria or Negan's Sanctuary. In fact, Carol insists Ezekiel is selling his people a fairy tale. But as we know in the universe of The Walking Dead, nothing stays pristine for too long. If you can't wait to see what becomes of the show's newest addition, we're outlining everything that happens in The Walking Dead comic books.
Now, we know from this week's episode that King Ezekiel is well acquainted with the Saviors. In fact, he's already participating in Negan's infamous "arrangement," where his men come and take a share of nearby groups' supplies on a frequent basis. In the comic books, King Ezekiel becomes romantically entangled with Michonne. He also teams up with Rick and the members of the Hilltop community to take Negan and the Saviors down. Together, they launch a massive attack on the Saviors' main compound, but they're quickly overwhelmed by Negan's men. After the attack, Ezekiel attempts to overtake another Savior compound and tragically loses Shiva to a hoard of walkers.
As the casualties pile up in the brutal war with the Saviors, Ezekiel loses his footing as a leader. He spirals into a depression. He eventually recovers in time to help everyone fight off the Saviors when they attack Hilltop. This is the last big battle between all the groups once Negan is finally taken into custody. King Ezekiel returns home to the Kingdom, and Michonne goes along with him.

So, how does King Ezekiel meet his tragic end? At one point, Michonne leaves him, and upon hearing that her feelings for him are still there, Ezekiel goes after her. Ezekiel eventually encounters Alpha, the leader of a terrifying new group called the Whisperers. Alpha decapitates Ezekiel and puts his head on a wooden stake. He's later discovered by Rick and the rest of the group.
As a side note, the Whisperers might be coming to the show sooner than we think. They're actually pretty far off in terms of the comics, but as we've learned, the show sometimes does things differently. Diehard fans were quick to call out the connection when the show's official Instagram posted a snap of a severed head on a stake just before the season seven premiere. What's more, doesn't the snap look eerily like the frame of Ezekiel's head in the comics?!

If you thought that was the end of Ezekiel's nightmare, there's just a bit more. Perhaps the most tragic part is that Ezekiel's head reanimates while it's on the stake. So, when everyone encounters him, his head has become that of a walker's. Michonne, overwhelmed with emotion, can't bring herself to finish him off. So, Andrea (who's still alive in the comics) steps forward and does it instead. So, there you have it! King Ezekiel may be selling a fairy tale now, but there's a high chance his death will be just as bleak as the rest of the apocalypse.
A News Anchor Debuted Her Repulsive Homemade Dip on Live TV, and It's Beyond Hilarious
The world's worst artichoke dip just debuted on live television, and the results were both hysterical and cringe-inducing. Leslie Horton, a traffic reporter for Global News in Canada, took a break from stoplights and car crashes to cook up a homemade holiday dip for her co-workers. From the moment the camera zoomed in on her concoction in all of its mushy, lumpy glory, the news anchor was up-front about the fact that something was off about it. Lion: How the Movie Stays True to The Real Story
Lion, a film you should see with your family, is earning critical buzz and award season love for its stellar performances, but also because of the incredible true story at its core. The film is based on the life of Saroo Brierly (played by Sunny Pawar and Dev Patel), who was separated from his family in India as a child and subsequently adopted by an Australian couple and relocated to Hobart, Tasmania. As an adult, Saroo couldn't shake the memories of his birth mother and siblings, and became fixated on finding them. The film stays fairly true to the real Saroo's story (which is also documented in his memoir, A Long Way Home), but there are always a few changes when a true story comes to life on film; here are a few of the key differences (spoilers ahead!).
- Saroo's birth father isn't seen or spoken of in the film, and in real life he left his family two years before Saroo's disappearance.
- Saroo had another brother, Kallu, in addition to his sister Shekila and his brother Guddu (who passed away shortly after Saroo went missing). Kallu is not mentioned in the movie. Currently, Shekila is a schoolteacher and Kallu is a factory manager.
- In the movie, Saroo's girlfriend is named Lucy (played by Rooney Mara). In real life, her name was Lisa.
- Upon their reunion, Saroo's mother was able to recognize her son partly due to a scar he earned as a boy after hitting his head on a rock while being chased by dogs. In the film, he gets the scar trying to carry a watermelon and is hit by a motorbike.
- As well as Google Earth, social media also played a role in helping the real Saroo put the pieces together. He used the social media sites to connect to Indian people and ask questions about his background. It was the administrator of a Facebook group that ultimately confirmed where his hometown was located.
- Saroo's mother had met with a fortune teller who told her that she would find her son someday. At that point, she gave up her exhaustive search for her son, and left their reunion to fate.
- Saroo still lives in Hobart, but communicates regularly with his family in India.

6 Exciting Albums We Can Count on in 2017
The countdown to 2017 is on, and that means new TV shows, exciting movie releases, and lots of fresh music! There are tons of artists who are rumored to have new albums on the way - Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Jay Z, and Justin Timberlake, to name a few - but there are a handful who have already confirmed new albums within the year. We don't have specific release dates for all of the albums yet, but here are six musicians who will definitely be releasing their next albums in 2017!
I Tried Making Poke Cake For the First Time and Here's What Happened
One day, the Fitness senior editor, Michele Foley, stopped me in the hallway to tell me about poke cake. "Have you ever had it? It's the best. cake. I've. ever. eaten. Cherry Jell-O and yellow cake mix with Cool Whip as the frosting. Total Midwest appeal. It came out light and airy and the Jell-O gave it tartness." Poking a cake and filling it with Jell-O sounded terrible to me and boggled my mind that two seemingly opposite textures could EVER work out together. Nonetheless, if the fitness editor vouched for something so passionately, I couldn't blow it off! I had to conduct a group taste test. Despite my initial bias, I gathered the ingredients anyway and hoped for the best.
I am the biggest fan of yellow box cake, even more than homemade cake, because it's moist and ultra vanilla-y without fail. The experiment started off happily. I whisked the cake mix, melted butter (I used Trader Joe's Cultured Salted Butter, because I was feeling fancy), and eggs together and transferred the batter to a buttered casserole dish. When I pulled the cake out of the oven, the air around me smelled like the '90s and childhood birthdays. I got drunk with nostalgia before my stomach tightened with the realization that I could screw up this perfectly good cake by dumping a whole bunch of Jell-O on top of it.
As the cake cooled by the window, I turned my attention to the next step. At this time, I should probably admit that I didn't go for brand-named Jell-O. I opted for a raspberry-flavored jel dessert, since that's all my closest grocery store carried. I dumped the contents in boiling water, stirred it around, and tasted it, just to see how bad I was about to ruin my cake. Only . . . the naturally flavored jel dessert tasted like raspberry Sweetarts (if that ever were to exist) with no funny aftertaste. I relaxed a little. This experiment might go over well!
I poked the cake a little too excessively on top, because I really wanted to let that jel dessert seep into the cake, even though Kraft recommends 1/2-inch intervals. Unlike Jell-O, which sets in the fridge, this product practically gels up within minutes. Despite my best intentions, as soon as I poured it over the cake, some of it seeped into the holes, but a lot of it set on top of the cake in a thin layer. I panicked, before thinking, "Whatever! I'm just going to ice this sucker anyway and see what happens."
As I cut into the cake and took out the first slice, I did notice how moist the cake turned out. However, as you can see, this particular poke cake doesn't have the stunning fluorescent streaks that make poke cake recipes famous. I was devastated, but only for a second, because I took a bite and became a poke cake believer. First off, unlike most cakes, this one isn't sweet. It's light and refreshing, almost like you are eating clouds. Until, like me, you have two huge slices and need to loosen your belt a notch. There's no odd Jell-O consistency in the cake. All you get is the semisalty vanilla cake combined with the slightly tart raspberry flavor. The whipped topping (found in the freezer section of most groceries) offered more of a textural component than flavor; it's remarkably fluffy.
Every taster at POPSUGAR gave it rave reviews, though there was one complaint and that's the cake doesn't have any textural contrast. If you need a little crunch in your cake, add some sprinkles on top! I may have missed out on the beautiful streaks this round. I'll keep practicing until I get that skill down, because I definitely intend to make this cake again and again. I'm convinced there's no better crowd-pleaser than this "recipe."

As you can see, not even a calculator can help you, as it will read the problem wrong and arrive at the answer of 9. To solve it correctly in a calculator, you need to write it out like this: 9-3/(1/3) + 1, which will lead you to 1 as the correct answer. The problem tests your knowledge of PEMDAS, the order of operations formula, which says you must get to the answer by following these steps in this order: parentheses, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction. There is so much we don't know about autism, which unfortunately leads some people to label and make snap judgments about children with the spectrum disorder. The Santa Claus at RiverTown Crossings Mall in Michigan, however, looks past those labels completely - his positive encounter with a little boy with autism has gone viral as a result.
For Landon, having autism is sometimes a struggle because not everyone accepts him or his personality. Landon's mom, Naomi Johnson, posted a photo to Facebook of her son's sweet encounter with Saint Nick, who told him that "he has been a very good boy being who he is," despite getting in trouble at school because people don't always understand that he has autism.
Naomi wrote that the exchange melted her mama heart: "My child is a great advocate for himself. But this day was different. He opened up to this person about who he was and he was accepted. He wasn't a science experiment, like he gets treated when most people find out he autistic. He was Landon, sitting with Santa and being told that it was OK to be himself."
This man spent just five minutes with the boy - calming him down, listening to his every word, offering positive feedback and encouragement - and those are five minutes that will stick with this family forever. For Landon and his mom, it seems that maybe Santa has already given them the best gift he can: acceptance.

I don't know when or if Miley Cyrus is getting married. Maybe she doesn't even know. But in my imaginary world, she walks down the aisle in a pretty spectacular wedding dress. You see, ever since I was young, I looked at Miley as someone who represented versatility. She played two different characters on Hannah Montana, and my younger sister plastered posters of Miley all over her walls, some in which she was dressed up like Hannah, others in which she was just herself, in jeans and a three-quarter-sleeved tee. But even when she was just being Miley, the actress and singer looked unique and a little bit quirky.
She's gone through many stages, but there has never been a time when Miley's paid attention to trends. During her rise to fame, she wore flares and cowboy boots, maybe because they were representative of where she came from: Franklin, TN. Post-breakup with Liam Hemsworth (the two have recently rekindled their relationship), Miley kind of went HAM with her wardrobe. And I liked it. What she wore, or didn't wear, was all a part of her personal revolution.

It might be neon, a mix of colors, or come with an inflatable skirt. Miley might not wear a wedding dress at all, should she get married. Maybe she'll go naked. She recently revealed on the Today show that she prefers to stay out of the fashion conversation: "I don't want people to talk about what I'm wearing. That's usually why I don't wear too much," she said.

Could This Theory Explain Why Dementors Are So Drawn to Harry Potter?
Throughout Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry is consistently pestered by the deathly cloaked guardians of the wizard prison: dementors. After his first few encounters with dementors cause Harry to black out and recall the sound of his mother's murder, he asks his favorite teacher (and arguably the best character in the series), Remus Lupin) why his reactions to the dementors are so strong.
Professor Lupin explains that Harry has more dark moments in his past than most people, so there is more pain for the dementors to drudge up. However, there's also another explanation for why the soul-sucking prison guardians can't seem to get enough of Harry.
