Kendall Jenner's Airport Pants Will Replace Your Favorite Pair of Sweats

When deciding on a travel outfit, comfort typically comes first, and Kendall Jenner's latest jet-setting look - a Vetements pullover paired with silky, striped track pants from Morgan Lane - fits right into that category. The model was spotted rocking the ensemble at LAX, keeping accessories to a minimum and finishing her look with a pair of white sneakers.

Kendall may be onto something with her on-the-go look, as Hailee Steinfeld - who was at LAX the very same day - wore a pair of Adidas track pants with a crop top for her own flight. The coincidence definitely left us wondering: are these bottoms the new, more stylish airport sweats? Scroll through for proof that this might be the case, then shop some track pants ahead to nail the look.

If You Have a Daughter, Please Spend 3 Minutes Watching This Video For Her Sake

"This is Ellie. She is 5 years old."

That's how this video starts, but if every mom simply substitutes their own daughters' names and ages, it's as if the next three minutes were made just for them.

Because, like Ellie, there are certain things your child knows and some things she doesn't. She knows she's smart, fast, and strong. She knows anything is possible. She doesn't know, however, that the world can be a difficult place for girls. For instance, she doesn't know that:

  • Only 11 percent of practicing engineers and one-fifth of head chefs are female
  • Women make up just 5 percent of the artists in the New York Metropolitan Museum's modern art section
  • By middle school, girls earn higher grades in science but feel less confident than boys
  • By age 11, 30 percent of girls will try a diet
  • 60 percent of girls give up doing something they love because they don't like the way they look

Before you start feeling defeated, the thing to remember is . . . she doesn't know those things yet, and maybe she won't have to.

The video - made to introduce Kazoo, a "new kind of magazine" for girls, on Kickstarter before its launch this Summer - should be mandatory viewing for any parent of a daughter because it reminds us all that, in this ever-changing world, the possibilities for her are endless if we keep it that way.

The Cutest Pictures of Jennifer Lopez and Her Adorable Kids

Over the past couple years, Jennifer Lopez has offered fans a glimpse into her life as a mom with supercute snaps of her twins, Max and Emme. She and her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, welcomed the kids in February 2008, and since then, she's shared more than a few adorable pictures of the pair on Instagram. Back in May 2015, Jennifer opened up about motherhood when she sat down with Ellen DeGeneres. "I love my kids," she said. "I wish I would have four or five more." She added, "The fact that you get to love somebody unconditionally in that way and not even care if they love you back - you just love them so much. Like that relationship, that's the biggest blessing in the world." So sweet! Keep reading for some of Jennifer Lopez's best family snaps on Instagram, then check out her sexiest snaps since the '90s.

Everything We Know About Fashion We Learned From the Mary-Kate and Ashley Movies

There is one undeniable similarity that all fashion girls share: we are all die-hard Mary-Kate and Ashley fans. Not only are they the CFDA award-winning designers behind The Row and Elizabeth and James, they're also street style savants who totally gave rise to the grungy-cool look we've all tried to emulate. But the truth is, we've been seeking inspiration from Mary-Kate and Ashley for quite a long time. We watched the duo's every film, from To Grandmother's House We Go to New York Minute, and we grew up stealing their style secrets from the screen.

Whether you begged your mom to buy you a printed bandanna because Maddie Parker totally rocked one in Our Lips Are Sealed or you collected butterfly clips to wear with your velvet spaghetti-strap cocktail dresses thanks to Passport to Paris, Mary-Kate and Ashley have been steadfast fashion icons since you were watching them on VHS.

Read on for 50 times you wanted to look like both Mary-Kate and Ashley all at once, even when they were both wearing totally disparate looks. They weren't kidding when they said, "it takes two."

Does Melania Trump Have What It Takes to Master First Lady Style?

Image Source: Getty / JEWEL SAMAD

When I woke up the morning after Election Day to find that Donald Trump would be the next president of the United States, I cried. Then I signed online and covered the latest Instagram trend: DIY crop tops made from an old pair of tights. Then, obviously, I cried some more. I had just witnessed one of the most heartbreaking and important elections in history, at least in my opinion. How did I muster the strength to write about a passing fashion trend on a day like that?

After that, it was admittedly hard to keep working. I talked to my sister, who also felt devastated, and I texted my boyfriend, who is one of those people who, political views aside, always reassures me I am worrying before I need to be. Then Hillary Clinton gave her concession speech wearing a purple-lapeled Ralph Lauren blazer, and instantly, I was inspired to write again. She was most likely wearing that shade because it was a blend of red and blue, the Republican and Democratic parties unifying right there on her outfit.

I don't think that Hillary's pantsuit was more important than the powerful words she spoke, a recognition of defeat but a promise she won't stop fighting for women, minorities, and our nation's progress. I do think that Hillary hammered her point home with that blazer, and in that moment, I felt it my duty to explain why. For the time it took me to crank out that post, my job had purpose again.

Every time I have written about Michelle Obama's dresses, since I began my career as a fashion editor, I have felt a sense of pride. It has been remarkable to track Michelle's style during her time in the White House, watching her thoughtfully support American designers with each appearance.

Image Source: Getty / Chip Somodevilla

I don't think she started to wear Brandon Maxwell (he dressed her for the Singapore state dinner and for the cover of InStyle) because he was Lady Gaga's stylist. I don't think Michelle was trying to resonate with pop culture, but rather to rally behind new art and its artists.

With every outfit choice Michelle makes, she tells a story. Michelle rotates between her favorite London fashion houses when she's in the UK, and she wore a Narciso Rodriguez dress to meet with Melania Trump for the first time. First, because Rodriguez is a Cuban-American designer whose family came to the country before he made a name for himself; an immigrant's success story like those Michelle and the Obama administration have often championed. Second, I'm sure, for its color palette: a purple dress, again marrying blue and red, but with a fiery orange stripe, a blaring, shocking wink: "Melania, can you handle this?"

But Melania can handle this. She has been in the public eye for many years, and when CBS's Lesley Stahl stared her down during the Trump family's 60 Minutes interview, warning her that first ladies have been famously scrutinized and that they must present themselves "with not a hair out of place," Melania didn't bat an eyelash. Throughout the entirety of her husband's campaign, Melania has worn a lineup of sophisticated looks that are nothing short of appropriate. They are what you'd call modern FLOTUS attire: well-tailored, modest, sleek, but with a bold twist thanks to an ultrasaturated color or a trendy sleeve.

Image Source: Getty / DOMINICK REUTER

These pieces got her noticed; these pieces sold out instantly, right after she debuted them. Melania already possesses the allure of a first lady. It might even be more uniquely exciting that Melania is shopping for these looks herself and counts covetable designers like Roksanda, Gucci, and Antonio Berardi as her favorites. Time will tell whether fashion houses begin to dress her (perhaps for the Inaugural Ball), but if they choose not to, I don't think any woman in America, Democrat or Republican, will knock her gown.

What I will miss, ultimately, is a lady like Michelle, and maybe even one like Hillary, who uses her clothes to tell a story or to convey a mood. Throughout her period in the White House, Michelle mixed high and low. She wore a J.Crew studded belt with a long Thom Browne plaid coat because it was fun and it felt right, and she was learning about what she liked.

Once she did, she selected designs that did all the right things: they flattered her figure by showing off her toned arms or they recognized the holiday season with the mixing of two festive colors. They purposefully showed support for certain cultures or countries. Michelle's outfits did not always look perfect. Sometimes her skirt blew up in the wind or she had to fight a hair out of place. But Michelle's outfits were fairly thought out, brave, bold, and irrefutably American. Melania, are you ready?

We Need to Talk About Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell's Son, Wyatt

When it comes to Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell's adorable family, you're probably much more familiar with their oldest kids, Kate and Oliver Hudson. But we're not here to talk about them. Instead, we're here to discuss another member of their family that isn't getting far enough attention, in our humble opinion: Wyatt Russell. Usually sporting a lumberjack beard that would make Mark-Paul Gosselaar proud and a smile that we're happily blinded by, the up-and-coming actor - who is currently dating Search Party actress Meredith Hagner - has been charming the pants off of audiences in small (but memorable) film roles over the last few years. Whether the 30-year-old is making you laugh in comedies like 22 Jump Street and Everybody Wants Some! or scaring the sh*t out of you in Black Mirror, we can probably all agree that he's top-tier crush material.

Choose a Healthy Affirmation as Your New Year's "Resolution"

If you know now that you're going to forget about your resolution by February 2017, then it's time for another plan. Why not choose an affirmation or mantra for your year instead of a resolution? Instead of one hard goal, try making this affirmation your theme for the year. Repeat it to yourself daily, and do your best to live each day with the intention of representing your mantra.

Maybe your affirmation is "I am strong," and whether you go to a workout or push through an emotionally trying day, you'll be living out your year's affirmation. If you need more guidance, try making your affirmation "I'm making the best choices for my body," so with every dietary, physical, and mental choice, you'll be reminded to take care of yourself and make a specific and conscious choice for what you need. No one else's diet or workout plan - just yours!

And if you still want to make a fitness resolution, these affirmations will help you keep to your goals all the way through next December. Try any of these 10 suggestions to empower and enable your health, or create your own.

  1. I am strong.
  2. I love my body.
  3. I am healthy.
  4. I am getting better every day.
  5. I am free to make my own choices.
  6. I am growing.
  7. I am enough.
  8. I am moving forward daily.
  9. I'm making the best choices for my body.
  10. I am not controlled by stress, fear, or anxiety.

Don't Worry, Guys - Prince William Totally Winged His Proposal Too

Prince William and Kate Middleton have been together for almost 14 years now (despite that one little breakup), and we have been loving all of the memories they've made in their time together so far. We've seen a wedding, two beautiful children, numerous trips around the world, and adorable PDA. But while so many wonderful things have happened for the couple since they tied the knot in April 2011, everyone always loves to relive a good proposal story. So how exactly did William pop the question? During the pair's vacation in Kenya in October 2010, the prince asked Kate to marry him in their secluded log cabin, where he presented her with a 12-carat oval blue Ceylon sapphire ring, the same one worn by his late mother, Princess Diana.

The beautiful location was also extra special, as it holds a dear place in William's heart. He opened up about why he chose to do it in Africa during an interview with CNN, explaining, "I regularly daydream. Africa is definitely one of the places I go to. It does completely settle me down. [Kate] understands what it means to me being in Africa, and my love of conservation." But while it all came together perfectly, William also admitted that he sort of winged the whole thing. "I didn't really plan it that far in advance," he continued. "I just knew I wanted it to feel comfortable where I did it and I wanted it to mean something, other than just the act of getting engaged." And it turns out that Kate didn't see it coming either. "We were out there with friends, so I really didn't expect it at all," she told Britain's ITV News. "It was a total shock when it came. Very excited!"

10 Things You Probably Don't Know About Gilmore Girls Star Alexis Bledel

Alexis Bledel first captured all of our hearts as the bookish, whip-smart Rory on Gilmore Girls, and she's been enchanting us ever since with roles in Mad Men and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, as well as making sweet red carpet appearances with husband Vincent Kartheiser. With the Gilmore Girls reboot fresh in our minds, and the possibility of another Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie on the way, there's no better time to get to know the actress.

  1. She's Latina. Much like Cameron Diaz and Bella Thorne, Alexis is another Latina actress whose pale complexion confuses people sometimes. "Most people think I'm Irish," the Argentinean star told Latina Magazine in 2005. "It's the only culture my mom knows from life, and my father as well, and they made the decision to raise their children within the context they had been raised in, so we speak Spanish in my parents' house, and my mom cooks amazing Mexican food."
  2. English wasn't her first language. Due to her Argentinian roots, Alexis - who was born in Houston - spoke fluent Spanish before she learned English in school. In other words, that Gilmore Girls scene of her speaking stilted Spanish to one of Emily's maids is totally fake!
  3. Her first job was modeling for Seventeen magazine. While most of us were scooping ice cream or lifeguarding as teenagers, Alexis was booking modeling gigs, which eventually led to her interest in acting. Her first one happened to be in Seventeen, which she opened about in a later interview with the mag, saying, "I ended up taking senior year off because I traveled a little bit for my modeling career - Seventeen was actually my first job!" Full circle, you guys.
  4. She originally wanted to be an architect. Although she took acting classes as a way to overcome being shy when she was younger, the acting bug didn't hit until later on. Instead, she wanted to do something totally different. "I went through a phase where I wanted to be an architect," she told Seventeen. "Then I realized there was a lot of math involved in that so I ruled it out completely."
  5. Her name isn't really "Alexis." Her first name, anyway. She was actually born Kimberly Alexis Bledel before ditching her first name, a move many Hollywood stars have done as well.

  6. She was a film major at New York University. Although she didn't attend Rory's alma mater Yale, Alexis still has a pretty incredible college on her resume: NYU. It was while studying there that she ended up scoring the role of Rory in the first place, kickstarting her Hollywood career. "I always thought that I would work behind the camera, because it's a more comfortable place for me to be, really," she told IGN about studying film at the university. "I went to college at NYU, and I was working there as a model, and I started auditioning for some pilots around that time." As luck would have it, Gilmore Girls ended up being one of them.
  7. She was sick with the flu when she auditioned for Gilmore Girls. On top of that, it was her first-ever acting audition! Alexis scored the role while still enrolled at NYU, even though she couldn't stop sniffling during the network screen test. "Luckily, we had videotaped one of her early auditions," casting director Jill Anthony revealed. "We popped that in, and they saw her on camera and she just jumped off the screen, you know. Those blue eyes."
  8. She hates coffee. Rory Gilmore basically has a coffee IV hooked up to her arm, but Alexis can't stand the stuff. During filming, her mug was usually filled with soda, instead.
  9. She loves renovating houses. Apparently Alexis is a Fixer Upper fan. "I tend to renovate properties when I'm not working," she told Nylon magazine in 2015. "It's fun for me, because it's creative and I can kind of control it. My job is very out of my control a lot of the time, because I don't want to get into, like, producing movies, although we are trying to make another Sisterhood movie."
  10. Rory's boyfriends became Alexis's boyfriends. The onscreen chemistry between Rory and Dean (Jared Padalecki), and later Rory and Jess (Milo Ventimiglia), ended up translating off screen as well. Although plenty of people know Alexis dated Milo, casting director Mara Casey claimed she also dated Jared in an interview with Life & Style. "We did have a joke about casting all of Alexis' [real-life] boyfriends," she said. "She dated Jared and Milo. And she also dated a young New York actor named Chris Heuisler, who played a guest role. Real sweet kid."

Bask in the Glory That Is Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell's Relationship Evolution

Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn are undeniably one of Hollywood's most inspiring and well-loved couples. They began dating in 1983, share four children - Kate and Oliver Hudson and Wyatt and Boston Russell - and have become a picture-perfect example of the contemporary blended family, eschewing marriage in favor of a non-formal commitment. When asked about why she and Kurt haven't tied the knot, Goldie said, "The question is, 'Why (get married)?' It's not, 'Why not?' We love each other. We fight the way people are supposed to fight. We love our lives together."

In addition to building a family, they've both established storied separate careers and have also starred together in three films - The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band, Swing Shift, and Overboard, which they recently watched for the first time ever. Goldie tweeted out about the date night, saying, "Kurt n I snuggled up and watched Overboard together. The first time we have seen it all the way thru since it came out. Now that's Romance." In honor of their epic relationship, we've roundup up the best pictures from Kurt and Goldie's decades-long courtship - scroll through to see them all now.

How My Love of Animals Led Me to Become a Vegetarian

My name is Daisy Fuentes and I'm a vegetarian.

I grew up in a home with a Spanish mother and Cuban father. Until I was three, I lived in Cuba, and we later moved to Spain when I was eight. During those years, I ate Spanish and Cuban foods, which were cooked in a traditional way: usually fried, then refried if they were being served as leftovers. I didn't like to eat much of it, especially the meat or seafood based meals that were 99 percent of what my parents served. Later, we moved from Madrid to New Jersey, where I was introduced to pepperoni pizza lunches - almost every day - as well as Twinkies and milk, cheeseburgers, mac and cheese, Doritos . . . you get the point. I was a junk food junkie. My parents still tried to get me to eat "protein" or "real" food often. Vegetables were never a real option or very important.

Eventually I grew up and started modeling, traveling the world, and enjoying more sophisticated flavors. I became a foodie. I cooked and created healthier versions of my favorite recipes. I started enjoying dinner parties, great restaurants, quality organic food, and wine pairings. But vegetables were never the stars of my show.

So you can imagine how unexpected and weird it was for my family and friends when I announced that I was a vegetarian.

I'd never really known any vegetarians. I always thought the whole vegan, hippie, yogi thing was interesting - but definitely not a lifestyle for a jet-setting foodie fashionista. But I was becoming more health conscious.

I'm now passionate about plant-based diets, for two main reasons. The first is that I have been reading, researching, and watching films regarding health, fitness, and anti-aging for many years. I was particularly inspired by the documentary Forks Over Knifes, which suggested that food could be used as medicine for major diseases. I was motivated to try an organic, plant-based diet for health purposes.

There is a second reason I became a vegetarian, and that is because I am an animal lover. I've always been subliminally aware of the horrors in the meat industry. For a long time, I was not able to face the fact that my consumption had consequences. But about a year ago, the day finally came when I could not turn away any more. We have all seen the images of terrified pigs and mistreated cows on factory farms. The horrors are engraved in my mind, and I can no longer look away.

Instead of the food, I now see the animal and what it went through to get on my plate. It's a choice. And some things you just can't unsee. I haven't had a piece of meat or fish since I made the decision to become a vegetarian. I can't - and amazingly, I don't even want to.

The most fascinating part of my decision has been the reactions. People seem shocked, even offended, that I made this change. Some even become defensive, as though I suggested they're doing something wrong. Perhaps my choice reminds them of something they're trying to avoid.

Many comments and responses I hear are outright wrong. When I suggested on social media that a turkey-free Thanksgiving is something to consider, I was attacked. Users asked how I could dare ruin such a tradition. But the truth is that I don't care what anyone eats. I have made my choice - and by the way I had a lovely and festive meat-free Thanksgiving.

I am, though, often asked for my fitness, health, and beauty advice. I love sharing all the wonderful, cutting-edge secrets I've learned from the best experts in the world. I always emphasized that a plant-based diet is the most important thing. Beauty and anti-aging happens from the inside out. I believe that eating a plant-based diet is essential to long term health and wellness.

I can still go to my favorite restaurants, but my choices are different. In fact, when I had the vegetarian menu at the world-renowned French Laundry, everyone I was with wished they'd done the same once they saw and tasted my dishes. When there are no vegetarian options, politely asking if the chef could whip something up for me has always worked. And I've learned how to make delicious vegetarian meals at home.

But I do struggle with some parts of this new life. I'd like to follow a vegan diet - but I still have the occasional cheesy pizza.

Fashion is also something I'm navigating and working out. I know I won't buy a fur and I don't want to buy leather again. I still have my old leather jackets and shoes. (It's been very interesting to learn that there are not many other vegan-friendly shoe options, at all.)

I've struggled with writing this because many people in my business are so judgmental. Some talk about following a plant-based diet as if it's all or nothing. If I say I'm vegetarian but get photographed wearing a leather jacket, I know to prepare for a sh*t-storm from the "vegan police." No one wants to be called a hypocrite; I'm a work in process. I'm understanding that this doesn't have to happen all at once. I know it will happen, though.

Changing a lifetime of habits disguised as tradition takes time. I don't know if I'll ever be completely vegan, but I do know I won't eat any type of meat or fish again. I get plenty of protein, and my B12 from shots or supplements. I've checked all my stats with my doctor. I'm healthy - and I feel good.

I'm not trying to preach or convert anyone, but I encourage you to research for yourself. Try the vegetarian and plant-based diet if you'd like, whether half the time or most of time. I want to inform and inspire people to live a healthier, more compassionate life.

Just one thing: if you run into me and want to talk about diets, let's not discuss protein or why animals were put here on earth.

Also, don't ask me why I'm a vegetarian. Instead, ask yourself why you are not.

The Ultimate Mac and Cheese Throwdown: Chrissy Teigen vs. John Legend

In the Chrissy Teigen and John Legend family, Chrissy is the master chef, except - according to John - when it comes to mac and cheese. John's famous macaroni and cheese recipe has over 600,000 shares, so you know he's doing something right, but when I came across Chrissy's own recipe in her cookbook, Cravings, I was immediately struck by the hilarious dis only she could deliver with an equal dose of sass and love:

This is MY mac and cheese, dammit. Everyone is allllllways asking, begging John to make his mac and cheese and if I may be frank here for a moment: I DON'T GET IT.

I will admit, I like it too, but I prefer a creamy, saucy mac. Mac and cheese that you give to your friends to take home in Tupperware, not sliced and wrapped in foil like a brick.

OK, so maybe I'm bitter. Every single time he makes his mac and cheese, people lose it, like he literally invented mac and cheese. Why? It's because he is a brilliant, handsome, kind, wonderful f*cking human being who is incredibly talented and famous who happens to make a good mac and cheese. It's one more talent and whoa we did not see this coming. AMAZE.

I'm sorry, John. I love you so, so much and you are absolutely perfect. My dream man. You write songs about me, love me endlessly, you clean, you help me unpack, and you are a wonderful dog father.

But my mac is better. If you want to try his, google it. These pages are expensive.

Damn. Here at POPSUGAR Food, we take macaroni and cheese very seriously, so we knew what we had to do: a Chrissy Teigen vs. John Legend mac and cheese taste test. Based on the recipes I've already tried from Chrissy (lemony arugula spaghetti cacio e pepe and chicken pot pie soup), I'm a believer in everything she says (I'm also kind of obsessed with her, so I might be a little biased), but I decided to pull for her recipe from the beginning. My editor took on the task of making John's recipe for the first time, and we brought both into the office for a blind taste test with tons of co-workers.

Meet the Contenders:

John Legend's Macaroni and Cheese

What makes it special: A huge amount of milk and cheese (psst, there are two cans of evaporated milk in here) makes this elbow mac ultrarich and cheesy. It's more of a traditional casserole-like macaroni and cheese that you can slice into squares (hence Chrissy's "brick" comment). A combination of cheddar, Monterey Jack, garlic powder, and paprika make it flavorful while letting the simplicity shine. This is like the mac and cheese you would find at a potluck that everyone would eat and really enjoy, but they wouldn't be talking about it the next week.

Chrissy's Mac and Cheese With Cheesy Garlic Breadcrumbs

What makes it special: Hellooo, cheesy garlic breadcrumbs that I am now going to make regularly and put on everything! If you're into more-classic mac and hate garlic, this might not be the recipe for you, but if you are into flavor overload and perfection, I suggest you find the nearest copy of Cravings, turn to page 90, and make this immediately. Not only is the top golden brown and crunchy, but the center is oozing with a smooth cheese sauce made of a combination of sharp cheddar, gruyère, and American cheese (trust me, I was skeptical about that last cheese, but it really works here). There's also a dash of cayenne pepper that yields just the right amount of spice. This is what you would make for a dinner party with your closest friends, and no one would leave without asking you for the recipe.

The Taste-Off

Spoiler alert: Chrissy's is the clear winner. While no one could deny that John's basic macaroni and cheese is good, it just doesn't stand a chance against Chrissy's elevated flavors and cheesy shells. Here's a sampling of some of the comments on each.

Chrissy's:

  • "OMG!! Life is complete."
  • "I think I levitated a little and heard the hum of an angel when I had it."
  • "The texture, spice, flavor, and large shells really make this mac the winner."
  • "Garlic cheese explosion - those breadcrumbs are a perfect complement. The cheese sticks in and around the shells to make a ravioli effect."
  • "WTF. Everything . . . especially the garlic breadcrumbs and sharp cheddar sauce."
  • "Perfection."

John's:
  • "Super cheesy and rich; very traditional. Sort of wish there was more spice."
  • "Standard. Very classic."
  • "Typical mac and cheese you'd find at the Thanksgiving table."
  • "Classic mac. Nothing special."
  • "This would make an awesome side dish. I want it with some spicy fried chicken and collard greens."
  • "This is pretty standard mac and cheese. Nothing too life-changing but great."

And the people have spoken. Crunchy, garlicky, cheesy perfection wins over tradition. John, you can have your Grammy awards, but Chrissy Teigen 100 percent wins the mac and cheese award.

We've decided there's only one last thing to do: combine the two. We're going to call it John and Chrissy's mac and cheese baby - baby Luna mac and cheese, if you will (stay tuned).
