Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Reunite With Beyoncé and Jay Z For Blue Ivy's Birthday

After a tumultuous few months, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are diving back into their normal daily routines. On Friday, the couple visited Beyoncé and Jay Z at their home in LA. While their kids, North and Saint, were noticeably missing, the duo reportedly stopped by to celebrate Blue Ivy Carter's 5th birthday, which is on Jan. 7.

Kim and Kanye's visit comes nearly two months after the rapper called out Beyoncé and Jay Z during his Saint Pablo concert in Sacramento, CA. During his rant, Kanye said that Beyoncé only agreed to perform at the 2016 MTV VMAs if she won video of the year over him. He also slammed Jay Z for not calling him after Kim's terrifying Paris robbery, saying, "You still ain't call me! Jay Z, call me! Jay Z, I know you got killers, please don't send them at my head." Less than a week later, Kanye was hospitalized for exhaustion and sleep deprivation at UCLA Medical Center. No word on whether or not Beyoncé and Jay Z reached out, but it looks like they're putting the past behind them.

The Photo of This Baby Will Make You Do a Jaw-Dropping Double Take

Source: Reddit user bretstar

Why, oh why, is this beautiful baby squished into a tube?!

Your first thought upon stumbling onto this photo might very well be, "This has to be a photoshop joke . . . " But it's not a joke at all - this baby is sitting in a very real contraption called a Pigg-O-Stat, and it leaves a lot of room for questions about life, the world, and everything we have come to understand about modern medicine.

The Pigg-O-Stat is an X-ray machine for babies, designed to position and hold infants during the scan without significant complications and to attempt getting a clear image the first time, resulting in less exposure to radiation.

Although the idea is kind of genius, the photo, which was submitted on Reddit, has elicited a lot of confused - and hilarious - comments. Our favorites: "It looks like that baby is about to be sent through the tubes at the bank drive through," and, "Augustus Gloop: The Early Years," a casual Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory reference.

So what do you think about the Pigg-O-Stat? Would you let your baby in one?

See the Gorgeous Photos That Tell a Tragic Birth Story

Photographer Amber Fife tells her clients that she is available at any time, should the mom-to-be go into labor earlier than expected. Families who are expecting hope for the best - to go to full term and deliver a healthy baby - but that isn't always the case, so the birth photographer makes herself available.

When Amber's friend Sarah received news at 23 weeks pregnant that she'd needed to be on bedrest until her December due date, Amber hoped for the best - that she wouldn't get a phone call about an early delivery any time soon. But Sarah went into labor the next night, and the doctors gave the baby a five percent rate of survival rate. Sarah's baby boy was delivered via C-section, and two hours later, Amber and Sarah's husband, Bryan, were able to see him.

His tiny one pound, five ounce body was tangled up in wires, with doctors surrounding him, trying to keep him alive. Amber left to give the family alone time while they waited the night out, and hoped, once again, that she wouldn't get another phone call - but again, the phone call came.

Sarah and Bryan's sweet little boy lived for six-and-a-half hours, and Amber photographed his last minutes, with his mom and dad holding and kissing him. Though this story is truly tragic, Amber - and the family's - wish in sharing the photos is that "they bring compassion, hope, gratitude, and healing for anyone they can."

The Viral Story of an Abandoned Dog Found in a Garbage Bag Will Make Your Heart Cry

Malissa Sergent Lewis was driving through her hometown of Harlan, KY, when she noticed a black garbage bag moving along the side of the road. Curious, Lewis went to inspect the bag only to find an abandoned puppy inside of it. Though the puppy had a collar, it didn't have a tag.

In an interview with The Dodo, Lewis explained the unexpected and horrifying discovery. "I could hardly wrap my mind around that," she said. "Something was alive in that bag, and I just knew I had to get whatever it was out." As one might imagine, the dog was relieved to be found. "As soon as I opened it up, and he saw light, he just started wagging his tail. He knew he was OK," she said.

Lewis has yet to figure out the circumstances surrounding the dog's abandonment, but investigators are reportedly looking into it. Lewis did share the miraculous story on Facebook in a series of videos that have gone viral with close to 20,000 shares. Accompanying the videos is a caption that states, "If this is your puppy, let me know. If you are the scoundrel who put it in a garbage bag and tossed it on the side of the road . . . you're a sicko."

Lewis is currently trying to find a permanent home for the dog, but she will continue to foster it until that happens. Perhaps one of those 20,000 viewers might be interested?

This Is How All Your Favorite Food Network Stars Make Chicken Noodle Soup

It's hard to screw up classic chicken noodle soup. But whether you're making it for the first time ever or are a seasoned pro looking to switch it up a bit, look no further than these popular recipes from some of our favorite Food Network hosts. Paula Deen adds a creamy touch, Tyler Florence goes the extra mile with homemade stock, and - naturally - Giada de Laurentiis puts an Italian spin on the traditional soup. Keep the chill away and cozy up with a steaming bowl of comfort food, courtesy of the following pros.

Tyler Florence: Make Your Own Stock

Tyler Florence doesn't cut any corners, and especially not when it comes to chicken noodle soup. The homemade stock in Tyler Florence's chicken noodle soup is what sets this soup way, way above a canned version. Don't be intimidated - all you need is a whole chicken, a few fresh vegetables, and herbs, and you've got homemade stock for a batch of this soup and beyond.

Paula Deen: Don't Skimp on the Cream

There's no shame in adding a little fat to chicken noodle soup, making it creamier and even more comforting. Paula Deen's chicken noodle soup calls for heavy cream, parmesan, sherry, and mushrooms, so it's a bit more bulked up than the traditional brothy soup you're probably used to. Served with crusty french bread for dipping, it's the ultimate wintertime comfort food.

Giada de Laurentiis: Swap Spaghetti

You know Giada is going to put an Italian spin on just about anything, especially anything with the word "noodle" in it. Instead of egg noodles or small pasta, Giada's chicken noodle soup calls for spaghetti broken up into two-inch pieces. Giada also recommends adding a parmesan rind (the rind adds tons of flavor), lemon juice, and grated romano cheese.

Alton Brown: Add an Aromatic Herb

Sure, you're used to thyme and parsley in chicken noodle soup, but try Alton Brown's chicken noodle soup with finely chopped tarragon. The aromatic, anise-like herb adds an incredible depth of flavor that will leave you slurping up spoonful after spoonful.

Rachael Ray: Chop Parsnips

Along with the classic mirepoix of onions, carrots, and celery, Rachael Ray's quick chicken noodle soup calls for an unexpected vegetable: parsnips. The root vegetable adds substance and subtle flavor and pairs perfectly with the rest of the diced veggies.

Anne Burrell: Sprinkle Cinnamon and Nutmeg

When you're feeling really creative and need something out of the box, try Anne Burrell's chicken noodle soup. With ingredients you'd never expect - cinnamon, nutmeg, chickpeas, and cilantro - this isn't your average chicken noodle soup, but in a good way. The recipe has a five-star rating for a reason, and people can't get enough of the spiced, soul-warming soup.

The Story of This Dog Rescued From a Meat Farm Will Absolutely Stun You

Image Source: Facebook user The San Francisco SPCA

In mid-February 2016, Humane Society International was able to shut down a Korean dog-meat farm - cold, exposed to the elements, and stuck in cages for their entire lives, the dogs who were rescued had never experienced human kindness. Sixty-four of them were transported to the San Francisco SPCA to begin anew, but what happened when they arrived stateside was unlike anything rescuers had ever expected.

From Cage To Couch: Casey's Story

One of the rescues, a Golden Retriever named Casey, had a much different reaction to her newfound freedom than any of the other meat farm rescues. While her furry peers were frightened and unsure about life outside a tiny cage, Casey responded well to humans, leashed walks, and even a regimented bathroom schedule. Rescuers at the SFSPCA realized that Casey had likely been somebody's pet before ending up at the Korean meat farm. They weren't sure how she ended up being raised for slaughter, but Casey's new handlers were completely stunned - and so are we - by her sweet temperament and playful attitude despite everything she'd been through.

You can read Casey's full (mostly happy!) story in the above Imgur gallery, then keep up with the rest of the Korean pups and their rehabilitation journey on the SPCA's Facebook page.

3 Signs Your Preschooler Is Gifted

Thanks to standardized tests, it's somewhat easy to tell whether a grade-schooler has above-average aptitude. But curious parents of preschoolers may have a more difficult time determining whether their children are "gifted," having fewer benchmarks against which to measure them. "Although I suspect my daughter is gifted, I am still waiting [until] she can be tested to call it officially," says Maggie J.

Nisreen V. also says her 3-year-old son shows signs of being a gifted child - he has an adult vocabulary and asks lots of questions - but she can't really compare him to other children his age because he's not yet in school. Once she does start sending him to school, she wonders, will the school help her figure it out?

Some readers with children who've been deemed gifted by their schools say parents of preschoolers indeed might need to wait until their children start grade school before they are labeled "gifted" (which often occurs in first or third grade). Yet they nevertheless suggest moms keep an eye out for the following three signs that a young child is gifted - and offer advice on how every child's talents can be nurtured.

1. Your Child Learns Language Quickly

"My son, not quite 3, recognizes all the letters, has most of the sounds, knows his colors, knows his numbers, counts objects, is starting to read words like 'rattlesnake,' has a huge vocabulary … and has incredible logic and reasoning skills," says Laura P. "I'm wondering if he is a gifted child, and if so, do I encourage this or let him be a little kid?"

Many mothers of gifted children say Laura's suspicion that her son is gifted is not off track. One of the first indications of their children's above-average abilities was the speed at which they learned letters and vocabulary. Deborah C. says her daughter was the poster child for highly gifted kids and had advanced language skills. "Her first word was 'elephant,' right before she turned three months old. She spoke in sentences by six months, and by 18 months, her language skills were that of a four or five-year-old," she says. Additionally, her daughter knew all her colors, shapes, ABCs, numbers, opposites, and left from right before she was 2.

Alicia T. says her son stood out as gifted because at 3 1/2 years old: "He pretty much taught himself how to read phonetically. He also learned the alphabets of at least four other languages and how to count in several of them as well."

2. Your Child Has a Love For Learning

Gifted children sometimes experience frustration when they're not learning, Alicia T. adds. For example, she says while the rest of her family may happily "zone out" watching a TV show, her gifted son prefers to watch YouTube videos on how to write letters in Hebrew or how to count in Japanese. Because of her experience, she suspects "a gifted child isn't happy unless he or she is learning something."

A gifted child's inquisitive nature to learn new things often requires constant conversation and attention. Denise M. says it's hard keeping up with her 4-year-old son's interests. Michelle D. calls her son a sponge for knowledge. She says he loves to learn anything and as a result believes gifted children learn in a different style and thus need more enriched activities.

3. Your Child Exhibits Other Talents

Even if your preschooler doesn't exhibit academic gifts, she could still be gifted, say Jami L. and Tegan D. Jami shares that her son didn't learn to read until he entered kindergarten, but then he excelled by leaps and bounds. In nine months, he was able to read at a first-grade level.

Tegan says her 3-year-old daughter can't read yet, but she is emotionally gifted, sensing when her baby brother is nervous or frustrated and exhibiting empathy toward animals. "Gifts come in all different shapes and sizes," Tegan says, "but the key difference is it's the ability to think beyond and differently to other children of that age."

Whether your preschooler is gifted or not, Hayley M. says you don't need to raise your children any differently. "If he is gifted, then you don't have to encourage it; it's who he is!" she says.

Megan W. and Debora C. agree, saying moms should encourage their children's love for learning but not push preschoolers to excel academically. "It is easy to think they need to get out into school ASAP," Megan says, "but three- and four-year-olds need comfort, stability at home, and opportunities to improve their play and socialization skills during the day."

Megan sends her son to preschool part time to socialize. "I'm aware that he won't learn anything new there," she says, "but being around a group of kids his age and getting used to the 'class' structure is a good idea before formal school."

Praise your child for how hard he works, rather than for being smart, clever, or good, Cathy M. advises. "That will help your preschooler to be more hard working, rather than give up as soon as things start getting tough," whether your child is gifted or not, she says.

And above all, as a reader who goes by "Flower Girl" says, a parent should respect the qualities that her child has. "Just because some children do not have a higher IQ doesn't really mean much. We should love our children for who they are."

All the Drama That's Gone Down Since Mariah Carey's Disastrous New Year's Eve Performance

This post has been updated with new information.

Thanks to Mariah Carey's iconic Christmas hit, "All I Want For Christmas Is You," the music legend is practically synonymous with the holidays. It seemed like a no-brainer, then, that she was asked to perform a slew of her biggest singles during Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve in NYC on Saturday night. Unfortunately, all did not go according to plan thanks to a number of technical difficulties, which revealed Mariah was lip-syncing and led to her walking off the stage (you can watch the performance here). "Trying to be a good sport here," she told the crowd about the glitch, explaining, "We didn't have a check for this song . . . we're missing some of the vocals, but it is what it is. I'm just going to let the audience sing. We didn't have a sound check for this New Year's baby, it is what it is." Unsurprisingly, people on social media quickly went in on the singer.

It seemed like it would all blow over soon enough, but since the incident, Mariah's team and ABC have been in a savage back and forth about who is to blame for the bad vocals. It doesn't seem like the drama is going to die down anytime soon, so check out a timeline of everything that's happened below.

  1. Mariah laughs off the incident on social media. A few hours after the performance, she posted a GIF of herself shrugging on Instagram along with the caption, "Sh*t happens 😩 Have a happy and healthy new year everybody!🎉 Here's to making more headlines in 2017 😂."
  2. Her camp reportedly claims they were sabotaged. Despite her seeming to have a sense of humor about it all, TMZ reported on Jan. 1 that Mariah and her team felt she was purposefully sabotaged by execs at Dick Clark Productions to score higher ratings and that her earpieces weren't working.
  3. Mariah's manager releases a statement blaming ABC. "We told them [the stage managers] that the in-ears were not working 10 minutes before the performance," Mariah's manager, Stella Bulochnikov, told Billboard. "They then changed the battery pack, and they were still not working on the frequency four minutes before the show. We let them know again, and they just kept counting her down and reassuring her that they will work as soon as they go live, which never happened - at which point she pulled them out but could not hear the music over the crowd."

On top of accusations about the technical difficulties, Stella also decried ABC's choice to air the botched performance on the West Coast despite her request for them not to. "After the show, I called [Dick Clark Productions'] Mark Shimmel and I said, 'What the f*ck happened?' He said, 'Let me call you back,' then called me back and confirmed the in-ears were not working and asked if I would make a joint statement. I said, 'No way.' I asked him to cut the West Coast feed. He said he could not do that. I asked him why would they want to run a performance with mechanical glitches unless they just want eyeballs at any expense . . . It's not artist-friendly, especially when the artist cut her vacation short as a New Year's Eve gift to them."

  4. Dick Clark Productions denies any involvement in sabotaging the performance. "As the premier producer of live television events for nearly 50 years, we pride ourselves on our reputation and long-standing relationships with artists," they wrote on Jan. 1. "To suggest that DCP, as producer of music shows including the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, New Year's Rockin' Eve and Academy of Country Music Awards, would ever intentionally compromise the success of any artist is defamatory, outrageous and frankly absurd. In very rare instances there are of course technical errors that can occur with live television, however, an initial investigation has indicated that DCP had no involvement in the challenges associated with Ms. Carey's New Year's Eve performance. We want to be clear that we have the utmost respect for Ms. Carey as an artist and acknowledge her tremendous accomplishments in the industry."
  5. Mariah thanks her fans. As accusations flew between both parties, Mariah took to Twitter to send a message to her "lambs": "I always always love seeing #Lambily members in the audience. Thank you for all your love and support. #LYM 😘❤️"
  6. DCP reportedly continues to pin the blame on Mariah. According to TMZ's sources, the singer "refused to personally do a sound check" and there was more than enough sound on stage for her to properly hear the music.
  7. Mariah's team apparently wants an apology from DCP. A source at E! News revealed on Jan. 2 that she "went through vocals and her team ran through sound" and that "all was well at rehearsal" but that "DCP knew her ear piece wasn't working and sent her on stage regardless." "It was sloppy and unprofessional on their part. Their statement says they didn't intentionally sabotage her, which [her team] agrees with. It doesn't apologize for failing to do a good job producing her performance, which is what happened. Her team knows that there are sometimes technical issues with live performances. All her manager asked DCP for was an apology for the poor job that they did producing and support of Mariah."
  8. Mariah gives her first interview since the performance. While chatting with Entertainment Weekly, Mariah opened up about her awkward performance and also praised the late Dick Clark, saying, "All I can say is Dick Clark was an incredible person and I was lucky enough to work with him when I first started in the music business. I'm of the opinion that Dick Clark would not have let an artist go through that and he would have been as mortified as I was in real time." She also revealed that the incident wasn't going to stop her from doing any future live TV events, adding, "It's not going to stop me from doing a live event in the future, but it will make me less trusting of using anyone outside of my own team." As for her reaction, Mariah says, "My true fans have been so supportive and I am so appreciative of them and everybody in the media that came out to support me after the fact because it really was an incredible holiday season that turned into a horrible New Year's Eve."
  9. Mariah parts ways with her creative director. ET reported on Tuesday that Mariah is no longer working with her creative director and tour choreographer, Anthony Burrell. A source close to the star told the publication, "He's not being brought back [in 2017] for a number of reasons." The insider also claims that Anthony's departure is due to a decision he made about moving Mariah's backup singers off the stage during her performance to make room for the dancers, leaving Mariah "without any support," as backup singers help artists pick up cues if their earpieces fail or they can't hear the music.
  10. Mariah's manager speaks out. Mariah's manager, Stella Bulochnikov told E! News, "The country deserved better than that." "It's disgusting that they wouldn't edit a better performance for west coast and say, 'Hey, listen we're so sorry that we had a mechanical problem but we love you Mariah, we're grateful to you Mariah, we're going to do anything we can to give America the right performance.'" She then accused Dick Clark Productions of not cutting the west coast feed to score higher ratings, adding, "No one even ran out to say to us, 'Hey would you please reshoot? Can you hang back for a few minutes? And can we shoot something else?' And we would've stayed on that stage and shot it, but nobody ran out . . . There's not a human being on the planet that could change my mind that they didn't do this for a viral moment for ratings and that's my problem."

Fingers crossed they can come to an agreement and put this mess behind them ASAP.

This Student Managed to Turn His 5-Day Mumps Quarantine Into a Snapchat Masterpiece

When freshman Yale student Tarek Ziad found himself quarantined with mumps for five whole days he decided to do what any other millennial would: document his struggles on Snapchat. In the 6 minute clip he uploaded onto YouTube, the witty 18-year-old turned the boring duration of being locked in Yale Health's infirmary room by himself into an exciting one.

While lamenting over how he forgot to bring his phone charger, Tarek recorded a short mock commercial about how Yale Health provides patients with "the world's smallest phone charger." He also joked about how those infamous pink hospital jugs look eerily similar to mini-trash cans. "No, this isn't a trash can. It's a water bottle," he said.

Tarek also quipped about being disappointed when Yale Health nurses showed up without wearing nurse hats as shown on the nurse call button. "Frankly, I feel cheated and lied to." Watch the humorous Snapchat video in its entirety above and see for yourself why everyone can't stop laughing at it.

Award Season Just Started, but Nicole Kidman Already Showed Up in the Most Popular Dress

It's not uncommon for stars to start plucking dresses from the runway as soon as they're debuted. But there has been no collection so exciting to choose from as Dior's Spring 2017 line. Jennifer Lawrence and Bella Hadid have already selected more than one look from designer Maria Grazia Chiuri's first show for the fashion house. Perhaps it's because these stylish, sensible celebrities like what the clothes stand for: a marriage of feminist phrases on graphic tees with pretty tulle skirts. Every outfit proved that a lady can look girlie, but be strong as hell in her ways.

In 2016 alone, 17 of these Dior ensembles have been shown off twice - once on the catwalk, and later on the red carpet. Though some have seen minor tweaks in colorway, straps, or embroidery patterns, these designs are clearly causing a craze. We predict it will extend far into award season, so don't be surprised when the actors gather at the upcoming ceremonies, and Dior dresses are all over the place. Nicole Kidman just kicked off award season in one of the iconic gowns, after all. Scroll to see them all.

Chris Pratt Gets Real About Love Scenes (With His Wife!) and Being "Too Fat" For a Role

Chris Pratt has been on quite the hot streak since he left the world of TV - we'll always love you, Andy Dwyer - for the big screen. His recent blockbusters, like Zero Dark Thirty, Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World, and Passengers, have made him a household name, but that doesn't mean he's afraid to speak candidly about his past career flops and failures. Chris is the star of Vanity Fair's February issue, and in addition to letting his eyes pierce your soul from the cover, he also talks about being called "too fat" for a role and what it's been like to reunite with wife Anna Faris on set, specifically about how much fun the couple, who met on the set of the '80s comedy Take Me Home Tonight, had while filming love scenes during his cameo on Anna's CBS show Mom. Read his quotes below.

  • On what motivated him to lose weight: "[After auditioning to play Oakland A's first baseman and catcher Scott Hatteberg in 2011's Moneyball] That was the first time I heard someone say, 'We're not gonna cast you - you're too fat.' So I decided to drop the weight, like in wrestling. I couldn't afford a trainer, so it was all running and crash-dieting and cutting alcohol."
  • On Zero Dark Thirty convincing him he could be an action hero: "That's the first time I bulked up, got into great shape because I was playing a navy SEAL. [After watching the movie] I was like, My God, I buy that guy. I'm SEAL Team Six in that movie, and I felt like it was real. I can do this. I can play those roles."
  • On President-elect Donald Trump's controversial Access Hollywood comments: "'When you're a star, you could do anything' - the offensive thing to me about that was Trump calling himself a star. It's like 'Come on, dude.' It's not because I consider myself a star, but if I ever heard someone say that, one of my peers, I'd instantly lose respect for them."
  • On what he looked like when he first came to Hollywood: "I looked exactly like Heath Ledger. I had long blond hair, still bleached out, Hawaiian . . . That's what people were always saying: 'Man, you look just like Heath Ledger.' Then I saw Heath Ledger on the cover of Vanity Fair and I thought, 'Hey, I do look just like that guy.'"
  • On playing wife Anna Faris's love interest on Mom: "Normally, when you do a kissing scene, it's awkward, and when it's done you say, 'Are you OK?' But this was different. After they yelled 'Cut,' we laughed and just kept on kissing."

8 Reasons Eating Sweet Potatoes Is the Best Thing You Could Do For Your Health

Ever wondered why ancient South and Central American civilizations had a soft spot for sweet potatoes? Sure, the delicious taste of the root vegetable is almost irresistible, but we have a feeling those early inhabitants of what's now Latin America knew a thing or two about its many benefits.

Did you know, for example, that the spuds are a great source of vitamin A? Or that if half of your diet was purely made of the veggie, you would still be getting enough nutrients? Scroll ahead for these and even more fascinating reasons you should add more of the tuber to your meals.

  1. They're low-calorie and naturally sweet, so you can eat them more frequently without feeling guilty.
  2. Forget about oranges - one sweet potato contains 35 percent of your daily dose of vitamin C, which might help to cure a cold as well as skin wounds, bones, and teeth.
  3. Because they are high in fiber, sweet potatoes are filling and reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
  4. According to the USDA, a medium-size sweet potato contains more than a day's worth of vitamin A, which plays a role in immunity, cell growth, eye and skin health (beauty bonus!), and preventing heart, lung, and kidney problems.
  5. The low-to-moderate glycemic index number of boiled or steamed sweet potatoes means they don't significantly raise your blood sugar levels, and you know what that means: no sugary cravings in the middle of the day. Keeping this index balanced also prevents diabetes and weight gain.
  6. Sweet potatoes are rich in antioxidants, particularly polyphenols and vitamin C. These free-radical-fighting particles are basically little wonders with studies saying they could play a role in the hindering of cancer and aging.
  7. Ever heard that slicing sweet potatoes and putting them under your eyes can reduce the look of puffiness? There's some truth to that. A study showed that purple sweet potatoes have high anti-inflammatory powers.
  8. Believe it or not, sweet potatoes have more potassium than bananas, meaning they're better at fighting strokes, guaranteeing good digestion, and even helping you avoid muscle cramps.

Sound the Alarms: Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield Reunite at the AFI Awards

The annual AFI Awards luncheon rolled through LA on Friday, and while we expected Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling to stick together, we didn't see the reunion between exes Emma and Andrew Garfield coming. After posing for pictures on the red carpet with her La La Land costar, Emma made her way inside the venue and approached Andrew at his table. According to Us Weekly, the two chatted for a bit and were very happy to see each other. Andrew introduced her to everyone at his table and Emma was very friendly. Once the event was over, Andrew dropped by Emma's table and said goodbye before heading out. He even showed her a bracelet he was wearing and Emma seemed to approve.

Emma and Andrew officially ended their three-year relationship back in October 2015. Following their breakup, sources close to the pair said, "They still have a lot of love for one another and they are on good terms with each another and remain close. It just wasn't working." More recently, both stars attended the Critics' Choice Awards, and Andrew told The Hollywood Reporter that he would want to be stranded with Emma on a deserted island, adding, "I love Emma. She's all right. She can come." While the former couple's reunion could have been awkward, it appeared to be a good night for all involved.

Nicole Kidman's Dress Is Basically Defying Gravity Right Before Your Eyes, or So It Seems

If you were hiring Nicole Kidman based on her red carpet resume, the chameleon would probably throw you for a loop entirely. Who is she? A goddess? A rockstar? A a movie star? A sex kitten? She can pull practically anything off with her modelesque stature, and so she does. She wears a range of designers, looks that are ethereal and whimsical, then slick and body-hugging. But after all that, we were starting to get the hang of it, expecting her award season style to stick to favorites like Gucci and Dior.

That's when she threw us a curve ball: a tulle creation from Rochas at the AACTA Awards, a preamble for Sunday's Globes. It gets a hint of sweetness from a hint of pink and its fit-and-flare shape, but also a hefty dose of sexy thanks to a bra-like top that looks as if it's almost a separate piece entirely, with a strapless dress hitting right beneath it, and seemingly hanging within an inch of its life. So, if upon first glance, you thought Nicole was dangerously close to a wardrobe malfunction, you weren't alone. Read on to see the look in full, and breathe a sigh of relief knowing it's all just an illusion.

We Gave 2 Dogs a Cognition Test, and This Is What Happened

When we heard about a cognition test for dogs, we really had no idea what to expect. But Dr. Brian Hare, cofounder of Dognition and director of the Duke Canine Cognition Center, assured us that he had created this entire cognition test to learn more about your dog than you ever thought possible.

Dognition is an online tool with several tests to analyze all your dog's behaviors. They're fun little science-based games that, beyond telling you about your dog, allow for a bonding experience between the two of you. Because the test is fairly lengthy, it allows for that initial bonding experience, but then once you get the results, you'll be able to understand your dog so much better. "Sometimes dogs don't listen to a command and we don't know why," Hare said when he walked me through the process. "But not all dogs learn things the same way, so maybe that dog isn't understanding your command how you're giving it."

We had two dog owners in our office try this set of tests on their dogs to see what it was really like, and both of them said that above everything else, they enjoyed the time they spent with their dogs. Keep reading to see how the tests went for them, and then try Dognition for yourself for free, courtesy of Purina Pro Plan Bright Mind.

Here's How to Relieve Period-Related Back Pain

As if pimples, emotional outbursts, cramps, exhaustion, and feeling bloated aren't enough, the PMS demons have to throw uncomfortable back pain your way too.

Lower back pain during your period, or primary dysmenorrhea, is caused by contractions in the uterus. Every month your body builds up a thick uterine lining (called endometrium) in preparation for a fertilized egg. If you don't become pregnant, estrogen and progesterone levels drop and cue your body to break down and detach the lining, and it does that by contracting. If your uterus contracts too strongly, it can press on nearby blood vessels, cutting off the supply of oxygen to the nearby muscles, which is the reason pain occurs in the abdomen and radiates to the lower back and even to the thighs.

Chances are, if you've always had similar menstrual discomfort, it's nothing to worry about. But see a doctor if you're incapacitated for more than a few days a month or if you've noticed a sudden change in your symptoms. Meanwhile, you can ease the back pain with over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen, or try a warm bath or a heating pad. Avoiding foods that contain caffeine and salt can also help. And even though you have about as much energy as it takes to plop onto the couch, women who exercise regularly often experience less menstrual pain, so keep up with your routine by doing some light cardio or these cramp-relieving yoga poses.
