You'll LOL Until It Hurts With Selena Gomez's Funniest Interviews

Selena Gomez has a serious sense of humor. If you don't believe us, simply scroll ahead. You'll find 11 moments she made an interview funnier and, therefore, way better by being irreverent, totally honest, and straight-up adventurous.

We could never forget that time she made her carpool karaoke session with James Corden on The Late Late Show a literal rollercoaster. Or that other time she seriously opened up about her hair being, er, totally fake. And believe us when we say, that's not even the best of it.

Octavia Spencer Went Commando at the Golden Globes and Shared That Info With Casey Affleck of All People

Octavia Spencer is currently celebrating having the No. 1 movie at the box office, and the actress paid a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show during what we imagine has to be a very exciting week. Not only did Hidden Figures, the true story of three brilliant women who worked at NASA during a crucial moment in history, blow past the new Star Wars film in theaters, but Octavia also attended the Golden Globes on Sunday and had a real blast - mostly because she wasn't wearing any underwear.

Octavia told Ellen that because she chose to wear a tuxedo to the event, she got to be "freer," cheekily adding, "Less underwear." She then recounted how she told Casey Affleck (of all people) about her "freedom," and Ellen blessed us with a photo of the exact moment that Octavia shared the news with him - and both of their reactions are gold. Can we party with Octavia, please?

We've gathered some soul-gratifying must haves for you, which give you the best of both worlds.

If You Have a Toddler, These Are the 10 Commandments of Food That You Must Follow

Image Source: Flickr user David Goehring

Food - perhaps one of the touchiest subjects to the parent of a toddler. One day you kid loves all of the foods, one day they hate certain-shaped foods, and other days they just can't get on board with their plate color, which means the entire meal is ruined. It's an ongoing battle trying to get a toddler to eat regardless of whether they're picky or not - it's just one of those things . . . it's like they make their own rules.

Read through for the food rules - or ten commandments of food, if you will - according to a toddler.

  1. Thou shalt not cut my sandwich into triangles preemptively, even though that's how I always like it. You never know when I'm going to go rogue and want squares.
  2. Thou shalt not dare poke the straw into my juice box. If you do this, I will ask you to get me a fresh one so that I can do it myself, spill it everywhere, and cry about it.
  3. Thou shalt not let anything green touch my other food. I will make you cook me a new meal, and I will throw the green things onto the floor.
  4. Thou shalt not judge my food pairings, no matter how conventionally gross they are. If I want to dip my grapes in mustard, no sensible type of rationalization is going to change my mind. (And I will not tell you that you were right when I then spit the grapes out all over the clean kitchen floor.)
  5. Thou shalt provide me with a snack no matter what time it is, when I've last eaten, or where in the world we are. If you do not have the exact snack that I ask for, when I ask for it, there will be hell to pay in the form of a blood-curdling scream and an on-the-floor, limbs-flying tantrum.
  6. Thou shalt not attempt to hide vegetables inside bites of my macaroni and cheese. I will notice, and I will develop trust issues, thus refusing to eat another bite of anything you prepare for me.
  7. Thou shalt not develop a false sense of security by believing I'll continue to eat my favorite food from day to day. If today's the day I hate pizza - the meal I ate my tiny body's weight in last night - deal with it.
  8. Thou shalt not assume that just because I ask for my milk in the red cup, that I really mean the red cup. I might actually want it in the green cup, but I'm not actually paying attention to you. Basically, read my mind.
  9. Thou shalt accept the fact that if I see something slightly different from usual (read: wrong) with my food - i.e. a burnt corner of my grilled cheese - that the whole meal is ruined. There's no coming back from something like that.
  10. Thou shalt adhere to the binding contract set forward from my birth that any food that sits upon your plate actually belongs to me in every way, shape, and form. Even if it's the exact same meal. Oh, and it doesn't work the other way around, either - my plate is mine, too.

May the odds be ever in your favor (but probably not).

15 Foods to Help You Sleep

If you rely on sleeping pills for a good night's sleep, take note: a recent study found that those who took sleeping aids like Ambien and Lunesta had a higher risk of dying sooner or developing cancer. If you're a restless sleeper, try eating any of these foods a few hours before bedtime and be ready for a personal visit from Mr. Sandman.

Here's How Naked Jamie Dornan Will Get in Fifty Shades Darker

If you needed just one more reason to get excited about Fifty Shades Darker, we've got it right here. There's a lot of information about the sequel out there, from the loads of set pictures to the sizzling set of trailers. Even so, there's one question that has yet to be answered: if Jamie Dornan didn't show his penis in the first film, will he go full frontal this time around?

In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dornan didn't exactly confirm that we'd see him in his birthday suit in the film . . . but, well, he didn't really deny it either. When asked about the issue, he replied, "The truth is that I don't know the answer to that. You'll have to wait and see. [Laughs.]" If you really pick apart the phrase, the fact that Dornan is unsure might mean it's all up to the final cut. As in, perhaps he shot some nude scenes and he's just not sure if they made it into the film. Luckily, we don't have to wait too much longer to find out: the film's release is set for Feb. 10, 2017.

How to Talk to a Friend Going Through IVF

Fertility issues are an emotional landmine, often full of sadness, stress, hope, and disappointment - even when you're not the one going through them. When it's a close friend who's dealing with infertility, it can be almost impossible to know how to be supportive through the rounds of Clomid, IUI, egg retrievals, and IVF.

I, like most of my friends, waited until my early 30s to get pregnant, and I was one of the lucky ones who was knocked up about five minutes after I decided I wanted to be. Unfortunately, a few of my closest friends had a much different experience. The stark opposition of our roads to baby (mine = positive test on the first try; theirs = years of hormone injections, miscarriages, and medical procedures) has made it hard for me to know how to show my support to my girlfriends, when we both know that I can't really relate to the process they're going through at all.

My way through was doing the only thing that felt natural to me (a certified over-sharer, over-communicator, and sometimes big mouth): I asked my brave friends how to navigate our discussions, and they were incredibly honest about the questions that helped and the ones that hurt. If you have a close friend in your life who's dealing with infertility, here's how to be supportive and keep your friendship strong while they're going through their journey.

Respect their privacy.

Although every person is different when it comes to how much they want to share, I've found that most women going through fertility treatments are careful about the information they reveal and to whom they reveal it. Just because your friend has trusted you enough to share her fertility issues does not mean they're giving you permission to pass along their struggles to mutual friends. Respect your friend's privacy, and let them take the lead on what they talk about and to who they talk to.

Express general support without asking specific questions.

I found that my friends responded better to general comments of support, like, "Just want you to know I'm thinking about you, and I'm here if you ever want to talk," rather than specific questions like "Hey, when's that next egg transfer?" One friend going through IVF said that when people asked her too many detailed questions it felt like they were being more nosy than supportive. My guess is that those friends were just really trying to understand the process, but those questions should be a job for Google, not someone who's going through such an emotional, complicated experience.

Don't be offended if they shut down communication for a while.

Anyone who's trying to get pregnant knows that the weeks between ovulation and a potential positive pregnancy test can be stressful. Add months or years of hormone injections and medical procedures and thousands of dollars to the experience, and the stakes only get higher. In my experience, my friends would lock down communication when waiting for to see if a procedure had produced a pregnancy, and the best thing I could do was keep my fingers crossed, send a couple of vague, nice text messages, and wait.

Listen when they're ready to talk.

It's true for most things in life, and it's even more so for this situation: when your friend is ready to open up, just listen. Injecting your own stories about other people's fertility struggles or your own awful pregnancy isn't helpful. Their journey is theirs alone, and the best thing you can do is just listen.

Understand that the stress might not end even when they are pregnant.

If you've ever had a miscarriage, you know that your next pregnancy can feel precarious, and the same is true for a pregnancy after infertility. Respect that your friend might not want to shout the news from the rooftops or even have a traditional baby shower. Consider offering to throw her a smaller shower with only her closest friends or a sip and see after the baby's born. Her baby, after all, is something to be truly celebrated.

These Dove Vintage Ads From the 1950s Will Make You Want to Call Your Mom

As skin and body care continues to innovate with crazy formulas (like snake venom!) or unique textures (such as gels), one thing remains the same: people will always love their simple Dove beauty bars. Now that the iconic drugstore product is turning 60 (it launched in 1957!), the brand is celebrating its heritage by releasing vintage ads. And POPSUGAR has a first look!

Ahead you'll see how much advertising has changed since the 1950s, when most ads ran in print. Now campaigns can appear anywhere from social to digital media to TV and of course on printed paper, as well.

"Dove has been providing the same superior care and championing real beauty for generations of women since the Beauty Bar launched 60 years ago," Kathy O'Brien, the vice president of skin and marketing services, told POPSUGAR. "It is incredible to see this demonstrated through our Dove Beauty Bar ads featuring real women, which date back to 1957 when the Beauty Bar debuted as a revolution in personal care."

But since you can't go back in time, Dove is giving you something new to covet. The brand is releasing a collector's edition beauty bar engraved with the word "care." Snag it this month for $7 at a drugstore near you.

Enjoy the nostalgic ads here and then call your mom. She'll tell you all about women in the '50s!

Once You Spot the Details, You'll Realize Kendall Jenner Isn't Wearing an Ordinary Bikini

For her first swimsuit snap of 2017, Kendall Jenner chose a bikini she could wear for days. Instead of wearing a bathing suit in just one color, the model chose a colorblock option. The cream-and-black top was a simple, no-frills halter style while the black bottoms were high-waisted.

A peek at this dual-color detailing reveals the most interesting part of the bikini. The model can easily mix and match the top and bottoms with other swim pieces to create new looks. We say it's a genius call on Kendall's part. Read on to see her first bikini snap in the new year, then shop similar two-colored swimsuits ahead.

If Any of These Photos Look Familiar to You, It May Be Time For a Mommy Timeout

Houses get messy, food gets spilled, things get broken - that's just how life is. But once kids are in the picture, those once infrequent incidents seem to become so much more commonplace - and further escalated - that it could feel like you're living inside a raging tornado at all times. If any of these photos look familiar to you, just remember, sometimes it's OK to take a step back (to laugh, to cry, whatever you need. We support you).

Read through to see 15 pieces of photographic evidence that prove it may be time for you to take a "mommy timeout."

Keurig Will Soon Be Able to Brew Something Much Stronger Than Coffee

Making a cup coffee from a pod in under a minute is already pretty amazing, but soon, your Keurig will be able to make alcoholic drinks. You read that right: beer, cocktails, and spirits will be able to flow out of your Keurig like the nectar of the gods thanks to a partnership between Anheuser-Busch InBev and Green Mountain. The two companies "entered into a joint venture focused on the research and development of an in-home alcohol drink system," according to the press release. Basically, they want you to become your own personal bartender.

Before you get too excited, know that there's no release date yet (masterpieces take time), and you won't be able to add IPA pods to the Keurig you already have in your kitchen - you'll have to buy a new machine entirely. This new Keurig will "build on the Keurig KOLD system," the soda-making Keurig that was discontinued last Summer. If the machine lives up to the hype, it will be completely worth the price and could change the at-home entertaining game forever. Imagine being able to serve your friends a "homemade" cocktail with just the press of a button! For now, we'll stick to our Keurig coffee, but we'll be dreaming about the possibility of whipping up our own "draft" beer without the tap. Stay tuned for more details as the CEO of the project, Nathaniel Davis, releases them. "We can't wait to get started," he said.

Kendall Jenner's sister Kim Kardashian may get lots of attention for her famous curves, but the model also knows a thing or two about flaunting her body in skimpy swimsuits. From her sexy bikini selfies by the pool to her trips to the beach in tiny two-pieces, Kendall has (almost) started to outshine her older sister in the hotness department. Neil Patrick Harris Licks James Corden's Face During Their Intense Broadway Riff-Off

If you're obsessed with all things musical theater, then you better sit down for this one. On Monday night, Tony award-winner Neil Patrick Harris stopped by The Late Late Show to challenge host James Corden in a special edition of "Broadway Riff-Off." While the A Series of Unfortunate Events actor lit up the stage with his sparkling personality, we have to admit, James really blew us away with his rendition of "On My Own" from Les Misérables. Of course, the best part of the whole segment had to be when they busted out some rhymes from the Broadway hit Hamilton. Watch the whole thing above to see if you can decide on a winner.

20 Ways Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events Is Different From the Books

Avid readers generally remain steadfast in their belief that the book is always better than the movie or TV show, but this isn't to say that some adaptations can't be good. In fact, the Harry Potter film series and The Lord of the Rings trilogy are excellent. Even Game of Thrones fans seem to acknowledge that the HBO series as a worthy adaptation. One of the reasons fans have doubts is because making a book into a movie or television show usually means that things get lost in translation. Favorite characters disappear, the sequence of events is shifted, and the setting is usually changed to a more cost-effective filming location. Fortunately, Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events is a tried-and-true replica of the books . . . except for these changes. Major spoiler warning!

The Bad Beginning (Episodes one and two)

  1. The Baudelaire parents are alive . . . or, so we thought. No bodies are recovered in the fire, so we assume that Mother (Colbie Smulders) and Father (Will Arnett) are the children's parents. They escape their kidnappers, fight off a drunken mob and angry refrigerator repair man, and survive a plane crash all the while hoping to reunite with their children. Towards the end of episode seven, however, viewers learn that they are actually parents to the Quagmire children, not the orphaned Baudelaires. Despite this meaning that the Baudelaire parents most likely did perish in the fire (which is true to the books), the events surrounding the Quagmire parents are unique to the TV series.
  2. On the show, Mr. Poe introduces Eleanora as his wife. In the books, Eleanora is actually Mr. Poe's sister, and his wife is named Polly.
  3. On the show, Mr. Poe's secretary Jacqueline is a secret VFD member who tries to keep the children safe from Count Olaf's clutches. However, her character doesn't exist at all in the books.
  4. Unlike the books, the meaning of VFD and the secret society are hinted at almost immediately. When Lemony Snicket enters into the remains of the burnt Baudelaire mansion, he says, "Neither the official fire department nor the volunteer fire department arrived in time to stop the blaze." The reference was quick, but it was there.

The Reptile Room (Episodes three and four)

  1. In the TV series, when the Baudelaires arrive at Dr. Montgomery's house, they continue to share a room (though luckily not a bed!), despite each getting their own rooms in the books.
  2. Excluding the final reveal that Stephano is Count Olaf in disguise, the Baudelaire trio doesn't spend a lot of time in the Reptile Room in the TV series. In the books, each child is given a specific job to do. Violet is responsible for inventing new snake traps, Klaus must read up on the species, and Sunny has to bite rope into manageable sizes.
  3. When Uncle Monty receives the coded message at the movie theater, it reads: "Hello Monty. Danger! Take the children on the SS Prospero to Peru." In the books, not only does the Sebald code work differently, the message read: "Attention! Hidden in the snowman is a survivor of the fire. Meet us in the town where this film takes place. Bring the three children. Your new assistant is not one of us. Beware!"
  4. In the TV series, Uncle Monty doesn't plan a trip to Peru until he receives the secret message instructing him to do so. In the books, he had been planning on doing it all along as a fun trip for the family.
  5. In the books, Uncle Monty confronts Stephano and tears up the tickets so that no one will be able to go to Peru. In the series, the tickets remain in tact, and when Stephano gets his hands on them, he plans to kidnap the children and take them away. Even though his plan fails, he boards the ship himself, but is confronted by Jacqueline . . . which is another thing missing from the books.
  6. In the TV series, Stephano blames the Incredibly Deadly Viper for Uncle Monty's murder and the Baudelaires use Sunny as bait to prove that the snake isn't dangerous at all. In the books, the children use Sunny's relationship with the Viper as a distraction, while Violet snoops for proof that Stephano is Count Olaf. Furthermore, in the TV series, the Viper slithers free, whereas in the books, he's captured along with the other snakes.

The Wide Window (Episodes five and six)

  1. In both iterations, Aunt Josephine gives all of the Baudelaires gifts when they arrive. However, Klaus receives an electric train in the books, unlike the deck of cards he receives (and later re-gifts to Sunny so that she can play poker) in the series.
  2. In the books, the children accompany Aunt Josephine to the market and are there when she first encounters Count Olaf disguised as Captain Sham. In the series, the children stay behind and Aunt Josephine later surprises them by bringing Captain Sham home.
  3. In the books, Captain Sham calls Aunt Josephine on the phone to make their date. Terrified of being electrocuted, Aunt Josephine refuses to answer the phone so Violet does so instead. Realizing it's Count Olaf on the phone, Violet pretends it's the wrong number and that he's reached the Hopalong Dance School by mistake. Aunt Josephine finds Violet's answering the phone to be very brave, which gives her courage to answer herself when Count Olaf calls back. This entire sequence is missing in the TV series.

  1. In the TV series, a waiter (and secret VFD member) at the Anxious Clown suggests that the children eat peppermints to induce an allergic reaction that will free them of Count Olaf. In the books, eating the peppermints is Violet's idea.
  2. In the books, the gates to the docks are locked and the keys are in the hands Count Olaf's henchman, who is standing guard. The children concoct a plan and battle the henchmen, barely escaping his grasp. This is entire sequence is missing from the series, where the children get onto the docks and steal a sailboat with ease.
  3. In the TV series, Count Olaf rescues Aunt Josephine and the Baudelaires from their sinking sailboat by letting them board the ferry. When he threatens to throw Aunt Josephine overboard to the leeches, she finally becomes the fierce and formidable woman she once was and stands her ground to protect the children (but is thrown overboard anyway). In the books, Aunt Josephine is much more spineless. She eagerly lets Count Olaf have the children, and even vows to change her appearance, switch identities, and leave town forever if he will spare her. He agrees, but then pushes her overboard when she corrects his grammar.
  4. In the books, after Captain Sham is exposed as Count Olaf, he locks Mr. Poe and the children behind a gate so that he and his henchmen can escape. In the series, the children hide in the back of a truck when no one is looking, escaping from both Count Olaf and Mr. Poe.

The Miserable Mill (Episodes seven and eight)

  1. In the books, Dr. Georgiana Orwell is killed when she falls into the buzzsaw. Potentially too graphic for television, this is adapted so that she burns in a furnace.
  2. In the books, Violet and Sunny sneak into Sir's library to read a book that Dr. Orwell donated, and discover that secret words are used to hypnotize and control subjects. In the series, all three Baudelaire children learn this when they sneak into Dr. Orwell's office and overhear her discussing secret words with Count Olaf (disguised as Shirley the Secretary). Furthermore, Violet and Sunny sneak into the Mill's library to read up on the history of the town fire, not hypnotism.
  3. At the end of episode eight, Count Olaf and his henchmen escape the Mill before Mr. Poe arrives, causing him to disbelieve the children when they tell him of Shirley and Dr. Orwell's evil plan. Even Sir escapes the angry, un-hypnotized mob and his partner, Charles, leaves the Mill to find him. In the books, Shirley and Foreman Flacutono are locked in the library and the adults (including Sir and Charles, who never flee the Mill) discover the left ankle tattoo, exposing them to be Count Olaf and his henchmen in disguise.

If you love drinking wine as much as the Lannisters do, this Game of Thrones themed pop-up bar needs to be on your bucket list. The Daylight Robbery bar in Edinburgh, Scotland, transforms its basement into a candlelit medieval pop-up bar called The Blood & Wine and is filled with Game of Thrones-inspired drinks, props, and posters that every super fan of the series will definitely obsess over.

Your Favorite Gossip Girl Stars Fell Victim to These Early-2000s Trends Too

Before your favorite Gossip Girl stars became onscreen style icons, they wore some questionable outfits. A look back at what Blake Lively and Leighton Meester wore in the early 2000s (tube tops and wide belts) confirms that they fell victims to cringe-worthy trends of that time. We don't completely blame them, however, because we too had a few of those pieces in our closets.

Though both stars have gone through dramatic style transformations since then, we'll have fun reminiscing about their old outfits. We do hope some of the trends ahead never make a comeback in 2017.

Why Didn't Anybody Tell Me: There Is No Postpartum Care

Ever heard of a sitz bath? There is one thing I wish I had known before I left the hospital with my first baby - that once you leave, there is no postpartum care. Yes, you have a checkup at six weeks, but it's after most of the discomfort has passed. The shock of what has happened to your body may not have passed.

By the time I got back to my OB at six weeks, I'd figured out that my tailbone was probably broken from childbirth and was told - by a doctor I had really liked - a broken tailbone is a broken tailbone. As in, there's really nothing to do except let time heal it. It was discouraging. I had mistakenly been looking for a little help. In those crucial early weeks of nursing and bonding with my child, sitting was unbearably painful. I quickly bought a doughnut ring to sit on and became very choosy about chairs, but it didn't change the fact that I had to sit down to feed my baby every other hour, and that discomfort, even with all of the meds and padding, made nursing my infant feel something like torture. I wasn't fully healed until five or six months postpartum. This might be why many women shell out for those seemingly overpriced gliders. No price is too high for a little comfort at that stage.

A friend of mine was discharged postpartum only to have her newborn readmitted a day later for jaundice. In their city hospital, all the rooms with space for parents with newborns were full. This new mother had to sleep in the waiting room and sit there during the day in between nursing and pumping for her newborn. During this time, her stitches came out and she contracted an infection, so she had to be readmitted and treated. She said that recovery was far more painful than labor itself.

While her story is unusual, it seems fairly common that the pain new mothers experience is overlooked or unseen by the medical community. Care between mothers and newborns is not well coordinated. In the hospital, you'll be given some info about postpartum bleeding - called lochia - and a nurse might talk to you about the baby blues or postpartum depression. Once home, you can call your doctor or clinic for some advice, but in between figuring out your new baby, nursing, and being physically limited, you may not have the wherewithal to get yourself to the doctor. I found it strange in retrospect that the baby's health is checked every week or two in the first months, whereas your own body is supposed to magically take care of itself. Yes, it does heal, but it's better to inform yourself beforehand and be prepared.

Ask your friends, doula, or physician what you might need to care for yourself after you leave the hospital. You might find yourself in significant pain, especially while sitting, either from bruising during labor, from healing stitches, or painful hemorrhoids. You may have strong contractions, called afterpains, or have trouble using the bathroom from a stressed bladder and perineal muscles. You may pass blood clots as your uterus heals or be so sore and tired that you experience deep body aches. If you've had a C-section, you may not be able to hold and lift your baby well or without pain. Your body has a lot of healing to do even while you are giving much of your energy to the newborn.

In many cases, rest, pain medications, and frequent baths will be most important. The time it takes to heal is one reason people talk of organizing help or meals after baby arrives. Instead of thinking, "I can do this," think, "I'll take all the help I can get." Don't minimize your pain. Make sure you communicate about how you are feeling with your spouse and with your doctor. Take time getting back to your usual speed. I think I took my first walk outside the apartment a full week after my first labor. I was pushing a stroller, confused by the actual sunlight and roaring traffic and investigating dogs, all of which seemed dangerous to my child. But it wasn't - she slept through the noise and sidewalk bumps, and so we just kept going.

We walked a lot in the early months, with a sling or the stroller, and while it was slower than my solo pace, it was also refreshing to feel my legs stretch and gather strength, week by week. The body I knew returned but very slowly, and my memory of that painful recovery still shadows my experience of having children.

All the Fifty Shades Darker Movie Set Pictures You Could Possibly Want

Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed were filmed back to back in Vancouver last year, which means Jamie Dornan did plenty of smoldering once he returned to set. During the months of filming, sexy star Dornan and Dakota Johnson filmed tons of scenes that of course included a fair share of steamy makeout sessions. But even after all that, we're still hungry for all the details about the sequel, and of course, the Feb. 10 release date. We have just the thing to tide you over: get an insider's look at the upcoming films in the way of countless set pictures.

L'Oréal Featured a Transgender Model For the First Time in Its New Campaign

Whenever a beauty company does something to expand beauty diversity, the world takes notice. L'Oréal's latest campaign for True Match Foundation, "Your Skin Your Story," debuted during the Golden Globe Awards featuring transgender model Hari Nef.

In the ad, women (and a man) from different backgrounds discuss their heritage and how there's a True Match shade for their unique skin. Hari utters the brand's slogan, "Because I'm worth it," toward the end of the clip. Each member of the True Match ad ensemble also has their own short True Match ad, and Hari shared her video on Twitter.

You might recognize Hari from the show Transparent, where she plays Gittel, Maura's (played by Jeffrey Tambor) great-aunt. She was also the first openly transgender model to be signed by IMG models in 2015 and even walked in Gucci's Fall Menswear show last year.

This is a huge step forward for the beauty industry, and it's important that other brands follow suit. Creating this ad proves that L'Oréal understands that there isn't just one type of person who wants to enjoy makeup and that it's important to make sure that people of all skin tones and gender identities can appreciate and use its products. Transgender models are rarely seen in beauty ads, and Hari's debut is a wonderful step in the right direction for inclusivity within the beauty industry.

Read on to see gorgeous photos of Hari and her reactions to starring in the ad.

Emma Stone Talks About That One Time She Had a "Meltdown" While Filming With Ryan Gosling

Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling may be garnering attention for their celestial dance moves in La La Land, but Emma wasn't always the graceful dancer she is today. While promoting the film overseas, Emma and Ryan stopped by The Graham Norton Show, where the actress revealed that their Dirty Dancing lift in Crazy, Stupid, Love didn't initially go as smoothly as they hoped. "I had an internalized phobia about being lifted six feet in the air and it all went horribly wrong," she explained. Emma then admitted that she had a "full meltdown," to which Ryan added, "I've never had this experience, but I can only imagine if a possum fell out of a tree, landed on my head and tried to scratch my eyes out it would be something similar!" Can these two be any cuter? Watch the scene in question below.

Thylane Blondeau Will Be the Next Big It Model by the Time You're Done Reading This

We wouldn't be surprised if you've already heard French model Thylane Blondeau's name. The 15-year-old covered Vogue Enfants when she was just 6, and two years before that, she was walking down the Jean Paul Gaultier runway. If you're assuming this caused a stir in the fashion industry, you'd be right - many people felt she was being objectified in the 2011 issue of Vogue Paris. But fast forward a few years, and Thylane scored a major spot on Jalouse and contracts with IMG Models and L'Oréal.

After she made her debut on the Cannes red carpet, mastering a look that was both playful and sophisticated, we were sure of it: Thylane is following in the footsteps of your favorite It girls. Read on to get to know her killer sense of style, then follow her feed so you don't miss a beat. We promise that when it comes to Thylane's career, things are about to move very fast.

The Scary Reason Hostess Recalled These Twinkies

If you treated yourself to a box of White Peppermint Twinkies over the holidays, it's time to return them ASAP. Hostess is voluntarily recalling the treats after learning that Blommer Chocolate Company (who made the coating on the Twinkies) has recalled milk powder ingredients included in the coating due to a concern about a possible salmonella risk.

The recall only applies to the "White Peppermint Hostess Twinkies" (UPC 888109111571) and were sold in packs of nine. Although no reports of illness have been reported and none of the Twinkies have tested positive for salmonella, it's always better to be on the safe side.

Salmonella is a serious illness that can sometimes lead to fatal infections in children and the elderly. According to the FDA healthy people can experience "fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain."

Check your cupboard and make sure to return the products to where you purchased them for a full refund.

Prince Royce and Emeraude Toubia Don't Pose For Photos Often, but When They Do, It's Too Cute

Prince Royce and Freeform Shadowhunters' actress Emeraude Toubia like to keep their relationship private, but when they do bless us with the occasional Instagram selfie or red carpet appearance, it's obvious their chemistry is off the charts. The Dominican-American bachata singer and the Mexican-Lebanese beauty laugh together, look unbearably hot, and gaze into each other's eyes with pure love. Keep reading to see what we mean - you'll for sure audibly go "aww" at least a couple of times.

5 Things La La Land Gets Right About LA

Though your attention might be drawn to the romance between Sebastian and Mia (or just Sebastian - no shame), La La Land's real romance is with the city of Los Angeles. It's the city where the sun is always shining and your barista is probably an aspiring actress. Or singer. Or something. What else did La La Land get right? Well, for starters . . .

1. The Traffic

The film takes its sweet time before getting you to the glitz and glam of Hollywood. The opening scene takes place in bumper-to-bumper traffic on the EZ pass lane connecting the 110 and 105 freeways, which was actually shut down twice for the cast and crew's use (imagine how happy Angelenos were those days). Time and time again, Los Angeles has claimed the top spot for worst traffic in the country. Studies revealed that residents in the LA/Long Beach/Santa Ana region spent more than 81 hours in idle traffic in the year 2015, and 2016 lived up to such expectations. It's no wonder those who live in SoCal named traffic their top concern over housing, retirement, and, oh, personal safety. Yikes.

2. The Weather

Or, well, lack thereof. If it weren't for the seasonal titles throughout, you'd have no idea how much time is passing between scenes. And although sprawling "Winter" out over a sunny, palm tree-filled backdrop is meant to be funny, it's seriously true. 75 and sunny year-round? Probably why Mia's almost exclusively in darling dresses that are reminiscent of the '50s. Just another day of sun. And another . . . And another . . .

3. Diversity

Although the film received some criticism for having a white male lead attempting to revive jazz (a primarily African-American genre), overall there's a large amount of diversity within the cast. The opening musical number alone explores this exciting and truly cosmopolitan aspect of Los Angeles. The "anyone can make it here!" message might be a tad stale, but the key here is that it includes anyone.

4. The Griffith Observatory

Partway through the movie, Gosling and Stone's characters take a romantic stroll through the Griffith Observatory. Though the planetarium in the film was recreated on a set, the rest of the location is entirely real, and it's a major attraction for both tourists and locals. Open to the public, it includes an observatory, planetarium, and exhibition space. This, unsurprisingly, helps make it the most-visited public observatory in the world. You may not be able to dance through thin air with Gosling, but you'll get some of the best and most famous views in the city.

5. The Rich Cinematic History

Director Damien Chazelle said it best in an interview with The Verge: "Living in LA, you live in a city that is full of movie history. Everywhere you turn, there's an echo of this glorified movie past." Whether it's Sunset Boulevard, Venice Beach, or Runyon Canyon Park, Los Angeles is a city immersed in the glory days of movies past.

Who IS Lemony Snicket? Here's the Man Behind A Series of Unfortunate Events

Any YA fan worth their salt knows the name Lemony Snicket. It's a name that will forever be associated with A Series of Unfortunate Events, the popular book series that is now a Netflix show. While the author of the books is billed a Mr. Lemony Snicket, the man behind The Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room, The Wide Window, and all the other novels in the series, is Daniel Handler. Here he is at a screening of the Netflix show in January:

This is his favorite pose, although he did treat the photographers on the red carpet to a little "wandering eye" look during a photo with the cast:

Is addition to the series, Handler has written several childrens books under the pen name, including The Latke Who Couldn't Stop Screaming: A Christmas Story, The Lump of Coal, and The Dark. He's even written an entirely separate YA series, called All the Wrong Questions.

The way Handler discusses his pseudonym is different than how most authors would; he refers to Snicket as a totally different person, with whom he merely has an "arrangement." Here's a 2012 interview with Publishers Weekly, in which Handler talks about how he represents Snicket in all "legal, literary, and social matters."

Fascinating, isn't he? Handler, who lives is San Francisco with his wife and son, has also written a number of books for adults under his own name, including We Are Pirates, and Why We Broke Up. His latest, All the Dirty Parts, will be released in August.

Why I Ditched the Baby Monitor - and So Should You

When my baby was first born, I started out with not one but two baby monitors. The first was a traditional audio monitor, and the other was a fancy video device that synced with our iPhones. As someone who is always "connected" (hi, I'm the mom who texted during labor - nice to meet you), why wouldn't I want the same level of attachment with my newborn baby?

The only thing - it took less than a month to viscerally hate them both. Here's why.

You know what's a good baby monitor? A baby.

Sure, this might not apply to those families in big houses where there can be plenty of square footage between you and the nursery room, but for this apartment-dweller, having a baby monitor was not just useless, it was synonymous with crappy surround sound. I didn't, it turns out, need to use a speaker system to amplify the combination of static with my child's wails on a 1.5-second delay.

Not all noises are created equal.

Babies are loud. In addition to crying, the most stereotypical of annoying baby sounds, they also do the following: snore, sneeze, cough, wheeze, hiccup, yawn, grumble, gurgle, grunt, sigh, squeak, snort, inhale, and, of course, exhale. (Yes, their very act of breathing in and out is audible.) Being awoken in the middle of the night by every single one of my newbie's 37 sneezes, as adorable as they are, is not ideal.

Babies make for insanely addictive (yet incredibly boring) reality TV.

You put your baby to sleep and slink out of the room. You breathe a sigh of relief (one that, for the record, is patently quieter than anything that baby's done all day) and plop down on the couch. If the next thing you do is grab your phone to scroll your Facebook feed, scarf potato chips by the handful, or zone out to some terrible Lifetime original movie, you pass. Congrats!

If, however, you pull out that damn video monitor and stare at your baby's every move - of which (news flash!) there aren't many - you've truly failed.

You spend so much of your time with your baby that you really should not be spending time when you aren't with your baby with your baby. (Go ahead, read that sentence again until it begins to make sense.)

No sane person wants to spend their free time "troubleshooting."

The modern-day take on Murphy's law? The more expensive the gadget, the more likely it is to break. I can't tell you how many sleep-deprived, passive-aggressive arguments my husband and I got into trying to figure out why our WiFi connectivity was weak, why our login wasn't working, why the camera was frozen. . . . As new parents, the only troubleshooting you should be doing involves dirty diapers.

It will always, always turn on you eventually.

One week, we had family in town. Not to say they overstayed their welcome, but my husband and I would need to help each other with "that one thing" in the nursery room, which was well-orchestrated code for huddling together on the floor and whisper-complaining about how so-and-so said this and how you-know-who did that. Then, all of a sudden, the faint green light of the baby monitor station, just a few feet away from us, caught my eye. It was transmitting to the receiver, which was smack dab in the middle of our living room.

We'd just been made.

Who can say if they were listening? It made no difference because, let me tell you, having to walk into your own living room and collectively pretend no one said or heard anything amiss is not how anyone should spend one minute of their already stressful maternity leave.

You will even use it for evil.

For reasons I am certain were valid at the time, I was convinced my husband wasn't wiping our baby girl correctly. "It's imperative you only go front to back," I'd remind him pre-diaper change. In lieu of having faith in my life partner, I opted to fire up the video monitor and used my distant background in investigative journalism to uncover the cold, hard truth that . . . oh, would you look at the time? I am going to be late for that thing!

So, in one of my surest parenting decisions yet, I turned off both monitors for good. (And, you know, started to trust my husband.)

There are certainly times, however, when I do consider plugging them back in.

One night, I heard my now-toddler coughing. It only lasted for a second, but it sounded slightly different than other coughs she's made. Something wasn't quite right, but I thought better of going in and possibly waking her up for no reason. An hour later, it happened again. I trusted my gut and went into her room. There, on the crib mattress were two small piles of vomit - one a little more dried up than the other.

In my grief over being a terrible mother, I hypothesized that if we'd still had the video monitor, I would have been able to act faster - but, as I try to remind myself, the monitor wouldn't have made her not puke all over her sheets. And if we're going to point fingers, it's really the puke we should be pointing at.

Another cause for second thoughts?

Based on what YouTube has proven time and again to be true, toddlers are hilarious. Thanks to many a viral baby monitor recording, parents have captured their children doing some pretty memorable stuff when they are supposed to be in their beds napping.

I'll never be able to watch my kid attempt a headstand while singing show tunes to her stuffed monkey, which - based on noise alone - is my best-educated guess for what's happening in there. Without a monitor mounted on the wall, I'll never know what she's really up to when no one else is looking.

But maybe it's better that way.
