Outraged Mom Speaks Out After 1 Elementary School Removed Her Child's Teeth
Shanda Flemming had no idea why her child came home from school crying, but when she discovered that it was because of something adults did to him rather than a fellow child, the mom was enraged.
Shanda's son, Michael, thought he was getting a routine teeth cleaning at school that day, but instead, the dentist extracted three of his teeth - and his mom wasn't notified before the procedure. After the school's visiting dental program finished the oral surgery, they sent the 9-year-old boy home without any pain medication, according to his mom.
"I just don't understand how a school or a company can take it in their hands to do something like this to a child," she told WJZ. "I'm angry about this. I don't think that it should have happened like that."
The Baltimore, MD, school has not yet commented on the incident, but Shanda acknowledges that she signed a permission slip at the beginning of the school year to allow Michael to receive dental work. However, she was under the impression that this was for routine cleanings, not oral surgeries.
This left her child unprepared for these extractions and his mom without the option of getting a second opinion or being there to comfort the third grader. Shanda also stated that Michael already had a scheduled appointment with a family dentist for later in the week and is outraged that the school didn't even bother to call her.
To make matters worse, the extractions took so long that Michael missed his bus and had to walk the mile from school to his home. "He walked home alone after having three teeth extracted from his mouth. He could have fallen over," Shanda said.
Even Diamond Experts Are Excited by the Size of Kirsten Dunst's Engagement Ring
Kirsten Dunst proudly showed off her engagement ring from Fargo costar Jesse Plemons, sitting front row at Couture Week, no less. It's no wonder she's excited, given the jewel's unique traits. The oval-shaped diamond is mounted in flashing yellow gold, and it's played up by complementing stones on each side of the band. Some editors and diamond experts estimate the piece to be a full three carats, ringing in around $80,000.
There's really no better place to compare notes on your most prized jewel than at Paris Haute Couture Week, and Kirsten did just that, as she and Arizona Muse caught up at the Ralph & Russo show. Read on to see Kirsten's ring shine against her romantic ivory dress, shop similar designs if you're so inclined, and check out how Kirsten recycled her old Oscars dress just a few nights back. It seems like right now, Kirsten's having quite the memorable style moment.
Emma Watson's Belle Dress Is Going to Be Different, but in a Good Way
We all patiently waited for it: the reveal of Emma Watson's Belle dress in Beauty and the Beast. Judging from the photos, the yellow princess ball gown is better than we imagined. Made with silk, the dress has a satin finish that glows for the camera while the layers of organza give the dress a light, bouncy lift. Though parts of the costume has a cage, one specific constricting piece was left out of the new design.
Beauty and the Beast's costume designer Jacqueline Durran revealed in an interview that Belle's dress in the live-action film would not have a corset, a change Emma pushed for herself.
"For Emma, it was important that the dress was light and that it had a lot of movement," Durran said. "In Emma's reinterpretation, Belle is an active princess. She did not want a dress that was corseted or that would impede her in any way."
Given that the actress is a proud feminist and supporter of HeForShe, it's not surprising she spoke up and did away with a tight-fitting bodice in the name of comfort. Scroll through for a glimpse of Belle's updated gown and other outfits before the film comes out March 17.

Gabrielle Union Is Creating a Hair Care Line With Textured Hair in Mind
I've always turned to Gabrielle Union for inspiration when I need a new hairstyle. (In fact, I recently asked stylist Andre Rodman at Rita Hazan to re-create the star's signature shoulder-length cut on my hair.) In my opinion, the actress easily has one of the most covetable manes in Hollywood, whether she's sporting braids, waves, or her gorgeous natural hair.
Like many black women, Gabrielle spent years chemically straightening her strands. She told WWD that after years of damage from chemical perms, she decided to go natural but never found a full range of products that catered to her specific needs. As a result, she decided to create her very first line of hair care products, Flawless by Gabrielle Union, to fill that void.
"I want women with textured hair to have great hair days," she said.
Flawless is a 10-part range that includes shampoo, conditioner, shine spray, treatment masks, and even edge control gel (gotta love a good edge control product!). Each formula was made with a variety of textures in mind and can be used on both curly and straightened styles. The line was also developed with marula, argan, and avocado oils to solve common natural-hair woes, including frizz, dryness, and split ends.
"I've made it my mission to make sure everything from the formulas to the packaging are just right. I myself have suffered from one too many bad hair days and have never found one range of products that met all of my needs. I wanted to change that! This line is all about healthy hair and versatility - so you can change up your styles without compromising the condition of your hair. I want women to be able to express themselves, flawlessly!" Gabrielle shared in a press release.
The collection will be available in March at Flawlesshair.com (just in time for your Spring beauty revamp) and in April nationwide at Ulta Beauty and Ulta.com. Get a better look at the products ahead, and start thinking about which one of Union's trademark styles you'll be trying out once you snap them up!
Do These 6 Things on Sunday to Lose Weight All Week Long
You know you should be eating right and exercising all week to reach your weight-loss goals, but when you're so rushed between work and family responsibilities, it's tough to have time to make it happen. A little planning goes a long way, so here are some things you can do on Sunday to ensure you stay on a healthy path all week long.
Plan Your Workouts
Don't just think to yourself that you'll squeeze in a run here and a trip to the gym there - plan it out. Sit down with your weekly calendar and jot down every workout just as you would doctor's appointments and meetings. Use this time to call your fitness buddy or trainer to make dates, check out studio schedules to find classes you want to take, and check the week's weather to figure out which days will be best for outdoor workouts.
Hit the Hamper
Nothing puts a damper on a workout more than not being able to find a clean sports bra, so do a couple loads before Monday, making sure you have everything you need, from your running tights to yoga tops to the towel you use to wipe sweat from your brow. Lay out your outfits for each day's workout so you're not running around the house Tuesday morning trying to find your missing sock.
Gather Your Gear
Collect whatever you need to work out - a yoga mat, sneakers, or earbuds - and make sure everything is set so you can easily grab the items throughout the week. Pack your gym bag, and put it by the door or in your car so you won't forget it when you leave for the day. If you exercise at home, put your favorite fitness video in the DVD player and lay out your dumbbells and resistance band. Sunday is also a great time to make a couple new playlists to inspire your kick-ass workouts (if you don't have time, subscribe to our workout playlists on Spotify).

Plan Your Meals and Snacks
Sit down and write out a weekly eating plan including all meals and snacks for the week. If you need a little inspiration, check out these healthy recipes. After making out a grocery list to include everything you'll need to whip them up, hit the health food store and stock up for the week. Since produce is best enjoyed within a few days of purchasing, note what fruits and veggies you'll want to pick up halfway through the week.
Make things even easier by prepping in advance: wash, cut, and store veggies to be used in dinner recipes, cut up fruit for smoothies or snacks, and cook up some whole grains and store them in the fridge. Cook some of these make-ahead breakfasts in advance, like a week of overnight oats, or turn on the crockpot to make something you can eat a few nights that week, like these under-400-calorie meals.
Pack It Up
If you'll be away from home during the day, cut down on the temptation to go out to lunch or grab a cookie by packing lunches and snacks from home. Making five salads for the week is easy and healthy, or you can whip up a big pot of soup and freeze small portions in glass containers to grab for lunch. Also set aside 10 snacks for the week (two per day), such as Greek yogurt, cheese sticks, and containers of carrots and hummus, or measure out 100-calorie portions of trail mix, whole-grain crackers, or cereal. It'll probably take about an hour to get it all ready, but it'll end up saving you time during the rest of the week.
Hit the Hay
Once everything is all set, take a nice hot bath, slip on your PJs, and hop into bed early. Unwind with an evening yoga sequence or a calming book, and you're more likely to have a good night's sleep and wake up refreshed for the week ahead.

Thanks to This 1 Strange Ingredient, Exfoliating Sensitive Skin Just Got So Much Easier
If you have sensitive skin, you fully understand the struggle that is exfoliating. A light scrub here and there somehow always causes a face full of inflamed and irritated patches - not a great way to start the day, if you ask us. But one New York City dermatologist just discovered an interesting ingredient that could save your skin: salmon egg enzyme.
Dermatologist Anne Chapas recently published a study that delved into how effective this enzyme - which is naturally released by salmon during birth - is in mildly exfoliating sensitive skin. The study found it could be the secret to preventing flare-ups or flakiness, as it "gently dissolves dead skin cells on the surface of the skin to improve skin tone," Chapas told Allure. It simply gets down to business by naturally removing dead skin cells, but stops working once it comes in contact with living ones.
The study pits the enzyme against other popular exfoliators, such as acids and scrubs that generally inflame sensitive skin. "Our study showed that products containing the enzyme were better tolerated than glycolic-acid-containing creams," Chapas explained to Allure. Full disclosure, though: the study was funded by skin care brand Restorsea, which uses this ingredient in many of its formulations under the name Aquabeautine XL.
If your go-to face peels just aren't doing the trick anymore and you're ready to switch things up, it looks like salmon egg enzyme might be the next big thing in all-natural exfoliation. There's nothing fishy about a smooth complexion.

This Is What Date Night Looked Like at the Oscars in 1997
As we prepare to celebrate films like La La Land and Hidden Figures at the Oscars in late February, it's important to remember the historic award show's roots (and let me tell you - those roots are covered in a hell of a lot of satin). Two decades earlier at the 1997 Academy Awards, the red carpet was crawling with celebrity couples. From enduring Hollywood duos like Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn to some short-lived flings (Vivica A. Fox and Dennis Rodman, anyone?), the Oscars that year were a hotbed of PDA, hand-holding, and some very . . . um . . . interesting fashion choices. Bask in the glory of all of these late-'90s couples ahead!

This Sailor Moon Sheet Mask Smells Just Like Tuxedo Mask's Roses
I never thought that being a Sailor Moon fan would pay off at work, but when the beauty world fell head over heels for products inspired by the series, I volunteered as tribute faster than Katniss Everdeen hyped up on espresso. First, I put Sailor Moon liquid eyeliner to the test . . . then I discovered sheet masks from the same line.
As a self-professed mask addict, I snatched a pack of the Creer Beaute Miracle Romance sheet masks up as soon as I spotted them at Candy Doll Beauty in San Francisco. I was unable to read any of the ingredients on the Japanese-language packaging, but I was willing to risk it in order to feel like a Sailor Scout - or Sailor Senshi, for other series purists like myself - for 20-30 minutes!
I was willing to risk it in order to feel like a Sailor Scout for 20-30 minutes!
Luckily, after purchasing the masks, I learned that they contain a soothing combination of primrose oil, avocado extract, vitamin B3, katsuma flower extract, prune extract, hyaluronic acid, and collagen - none of which irritate my sensitive skin. Evening primrose oil lends the skin beneficial fatty acids that can aid with skin care issues like acne and dry patches, and the collagen element of the masks helps fight wrinkles. I thought "sign me the hell up!" as soon as I saw the translated ingredient list.
In a cute nod to Tuxedo Mask, the mask sheets are rose-scented. The light fragrance isn't some afterthought buried by chemical aromas, like plenty of other masks I've tried. After half an hour with one of the sheets on my face (in a bubble bath with Sailor Moon playing on my laptop, obviously) my skin not only smelled like Tuxedo Mask's favorite flower; it felt petal-soft, too.
There is a problematically named "whitening and brightening" version of Creer Beaute's mask that focuses on complexion, but I would highly recommend the moisturizing version pictured in this post. They're a little tough to track down if you don't have easy access to Asian-import beauty stores, but thanks to eBay you can get your hands on the sheet mask sets (prices vary) if you're willing to pay international shipping.
Read on for pictures of the mask, then let me know which Sailor Moon product you want to see in action next!
18 Healthy Slow-Cooker Recipes That Basically Cook Themselves

But healthy living doesn't have to mean spending every spare second in the kitchen or gym! These nutritious slow-cooker recipes can be prepped ahead of time so there's a hot meal ready whenever you are. Whether you have a hard time carving out time for breakfast or spend your entire evening preparing dinner, these healthy recipes are worth trying - they basically cook themselves!
"Hair Dusting" Is the Easiest Way to Achieve Healthier Strands Without Sacrificing Length
If you struggle to grow out your hair, you likely often have to face a difficult decision: keep the length you've been working so hard to achieve, or sacrifice it in favor of hair health. But according to Refinery29, a technique called "hair dusting" will allow you to keep your mane long and healthy.
Los Angeles stylist Sal Salcedo explained that the method consists of slicing off the very tips off your strands (where the damage is). "Think of it in terms of removing fuzz from clothes," he told Refinery29. "You want to smooth the hair out the best you can first, because you need to allow the bad hair to pop up."
It's by no means a new technique. In fact, it's quite similar to velaterapia, which uses an open flame to singe off split ends (but is definitely safer, obviously). The only reason you've not experienced hair dusting yourself is because it's a time-consuming process that's more about grooming than an actual cut. See for yourself when you read on.

9 Well-Known Commoners Who Married Royals
Although royals often marry other royals, some princes and princesses have found love with commoners. There's Prince William and Kate Middleton, of course, who famously met in school. And more recently, Sweden's Prince Carl Philip tied the knot with Sofia Hellqvist, a former model and reality-TV star. Over the years, royals have fallen for all sorts of people, including a journalist, a Hollywood actress, an Olympic athlete, and a gym owner. With a look at royal couples past and present, see some of the well-known commoners who became royalty through marriage.
Dan Stevens Is 1 Sexy Beast and It's Time We Acknowledge It
Dan Stevens is perhaps best known for playing Downton Abbey's lovable (but not exactly sexy) leading man Matthew Crawley, but a lot has changed since he left the show in 2012. Since then, the 34-year-old English actor has been focusing on his Hollywood film career and is set to play the coveted role of the Beast in Disney's new, live-action take on Beauty and the Beast. This will likely introduce us to a whole new side of Dan, and in real life he's also had a very noticeable transformation since his Downton days - shedding his softer, more posh look to become a scruffy, messy-haired hottie. Keep reading to see how Dan has changed over the years.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Were Actually Dating Other People When They First Met
It's hard to imagine a world without Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's love. They're so picture-perfect together and we can't get enough of their sweet family, but they were actually dating other people when they first met. In 2010, the two played love interests in Green Lantern, and although they became fast friends on set, nothing developed romantically at the time as Blake was dating her Gossip Girl costar Penn Badgley and Ryan was married to Scarlett Johansson.
Fast-forward a year later and Blake was single and Ryan had just finalized his divorce. Even though the actress dated a few A-listers in between her breakup with Penn (hello, Leonardo DiCaprio), sparks really flew when she and Ryan went on a double date - with other people! "She was on a date with another guy, and I was on a date with another girl," Ryan recalled. "That was the most awkward date [from their perspective] probably because we were just like fireworks coming across." And the rest is history!
Rebecca Minkoff Makes a Political Statement at Her Los Angeles Show
Make the world your runway, they say. In a sense, Rebecca Minkoff did. She brought her Spring 2017 "See Now, Buy Now" Fashion Show to Los Angeles, one of the select few designers who have decided to jet away from New York during Fashion Week. (Tommy Hilfiger, Rachel Zoe and Tom Ford are all swapping coasts as well.) But instead of setting up shop in a studio, she took over The Grove, a signature LA landmark.
Throughout the day, Rebecca had a presence at the outdoor mall with a variety of activities for the public, specifically with her millennial consumer in mind: yoga, Essie manicures, a wine tasting, Keke Palmer's book signing, The Little Market pop-up shop and even a chance to be a spectator during the runway show. Similar to her Fall 2016 RTW show, her beguiled fashion brigade included top influencers like Aimee Song and Chriselle Lim, models like Coco Rocha and Pyper America Smith, and actresses like Jamie Chung and Victoria Justice. Celebrities like Lauren Conrad, Camila Alves and Keke all attended the show.
Choosing Los Angeles as the show location was partly due to the theme of her collection, which is heavy with SoCal influence. "I was vintage shopping and I saw terry cloth tank top from the 70's that said 'California,' and I thought, 'That's my sign. Let's do this,'" Rebecca told us. The hair, provided by GLAMSQUAD, was "triangular" and meant to be big, voluminous and reminiscent of the 70's. "The hair is airy and fluffy. Lots of wave in there, but we want to see frizz. We don't want it to be too perfect or polished," said Giovanni Vaccaro, Creative Director of GLAMSQUAD. Rebecca instructed Lori Taylor Davis, Global Pro Lead Artist at Smashbox, to create a makeup look reminiscent of the California sunset, so for the eyes, warm, magic hour shades we used on the models with light-to-medium tones; deeper skin tones were gilded with red and oranges shades. The nails were anything but basic, opting to take the nail art approach. "We're doing nail art, rainbow nail art," said celebrity manicurist Michelle Saunders. "It feels very young, very 70's. Rebecca wanted to do a monochromatic rainbow, not traditional colors, so reds, pinks and peaches," said Michelle.
The show was an experience. And it was meant to be: it took over an expansive portion of The Grove, as mentioned, and several activations were available afterwards, giving the public a chance to interact with their favorite influencers. Perhaps the most compelling and touching part of experience, though, was during the show's final walk.
Upon the last look, worn by Coco Rocha, the sound was cut. Not abruptly - the song had ended. But it was cut before she reached the end of the trolley runway; it was a long enough silence that it made you wonder, "is someone getting fired?" It was then that "Quiet," the song many consider the anthem of the Women's March, was sung acapella. LA-based performer and writer of the song, MILCK, along with 7 other women, closed the show by walking the runway, followed by the models.
We saw Jamie Chung become emotional during that moment. "It was so cool. I was turning the corner and I like, 'I think I might cry.' It was just beautiful," said Jamie. "I mean, you can't be quiet. You have to stand up for what you believe in. I think especially during these really scary times, it's important to have your voice heard."
Victoria Justice, who walked the in show along with younger sister, Madison Reed, mimicked those sentiments. "It's such an important time for women, and to have all of those women singing was a beautiful, special moment," said Victoria.
As for the collection, there were various flirty and whimsical silhouettes, floral prints, woven details, a few LA-centric tees and statement bags with sayings like "Woman Up!" and "Love is love is love," pushing both the laid-back California aesthetic and female empowerment.
Rebecca's Spring 2017 collection is available for purchase now.
Oops! Kristen Stewart Drops the F-Bomb During Her SNL Opening Monologue
And here's Kristen Stewart dropping an f-bomb during the SNL monologue. It's great. http://pic.twitter.com/C7snwPV8Lu
— Mike Ryan (@mikeryan) February 5, 2017
Kristen Stewart is doing if not outspoken, and she has a habit of using a certain four-letter expletive to get her point across. While hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time this week, the former Twilight actress gave an opening monologue that went along swimmingly - until it was time for her to do the whole "We've got a great show tonight" thing before going to commercial. "We've got a great show, and I totally care that I'm here because it's the coolest f*cking thing," Kristen said, before immediately covering her mouth and spinning around. After the slip-up, Kristen composed herself, saying, "Oh my god, and I'm sorry and Alessia Cara is also here and I'll never come back." Meanwhile, cast members Aidy Bryant and Kate McKinnon couldn't hold in their shock (or laughter). Never change, Kristen.
These Pictures of Kate and Leo Holding Hands Will Melt Your Iceberg of a Heart
Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio may not have ever been a couple in real life, but they will forever be one of our favorite duos. Their special bond started when they starred in Titanic together in 1997, and their friendship has only grown from there. In addition to sharing the screen again in 2008's Revolutionary Road, Kate and Leo also hit red carpets together, share backstage embraces, and gush about their love for each other in interviews. Oh, and Leo also gave Kate away at her 2012 wedding to Ned Rocknroll. One thing the duo does on a regular basis that perfectly reflects this closeness is hold hands. Keep reading to see what we mean (while listening to "My Heart Will Go On," obviously).
15 Telenovela Costars Who Found Love Off Screen
Growing up with Univision and Telemundo constantly playing in the background means that I fell in love with telenovela romances more than I fell in love with any Disney princess fairy tale. Looking back, relationship goals for me were all about that Mia and Miguel love - minus the Gossip Girl-esque drama that surrounded that Rebelde romance.
And because novela love is just sooo deep, we swoon every time a TV duo crosses over to become a couple IRL, immediately picturing their wedding and happy future, just like we do with their characters. For some, it works - just look at Sebastián Caicedo and Carmen Villalobos - but for others, the passion off screen just doesn't live up to the novela standards. Either way, we loved them then, and we love them now.
Why Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel Broke Up Before Tying the Knot
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have one of the most enviable romances in Hollywood, but their relationship wasn't always sunshine and daisies. Before famously tying the knot in Italy in 2012, Jessica and Justin hit a bump in the road and briefly split in 2011 after four years of dating. At the time of their breakup, the couple's reps released a joint statement to People, saying, "Addressing the media speculation regarding Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake's relationship, we are confirming that they mutually have decided to part ways. The two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other."
So what exactly went wrong between Justin and Jessica? A source told People that their romance had simply run its course, adding, "It really was mutual. There really wasn't a final straw. They're just two people who realized they wanted different things in life and were headed in different directions. It was just easier to end it now rather than later." As for those Justin cheating rumors, the source said, "There was never any proof. When you're in a relationship, you have to choose to believe the person or get out."
The "Can't Stop the Feeling" singer later talked about the "hurtful" breakup to Vanity Fair, calling Jessica "the single-handedly most significant person in my life" and stating that he didn't want to discuss it any further because "I have to protect things that are dear to me." Fortunately, Jessica and Justin ended up patching things up and got engaged in January 2012. They got married in October of that year, and are now parents to nearly 2-year-old son Silas. They are one of the handful of celebrity couples who've proven that giving love a second chance is worth it.
Did Santa Clarita Diet Just Take a Swing (Pun Intended) at The Walking Dead?
At first glance, Santa Clarita Diet doesn't seem like a zombie TV show, but it totally is. While there's no epidemic, no apocalypse, and the main character Sheila isn't a drooling, groaning shell of herself, she does fit the textbook definition of the term. More specifically, she's definitely dead and needs human flesh to survive. Once you acclimate to what's going on, it's easy to see where Santa Clarita Diet follows in the footsteps of its undead predecessors, with a humorous twist. Perhaps even more delightful, though, is the slight nod to that other zombie show on TV, The Walking Dead.
Here's how the scene goes down: in the season finale, Sheila and Joel are waiting for Dr. Wolf to come and help develop a cure for the virus. Sheila is convinced her zombie virus might cause her to deteriorate past the point of no return, which would require her husband to put her out of her misery, so to speak. She bugs Joel incessantly, asking how he would kill her if given no other choice:
Joel: "Fine. I'd bash your brains in with a baseball bat."
Sheila: "Oh my GOD, are you serious?! You'd kill me with a bat?"
Joel: "I didn't want to play!"
Sheila: "And bash my brains in? That is SO angry, where is that coming from?"
Joel: "I don't know! That's how they kill the undead in movies!"
Sheila: "But I'm your wife, you love me!"
It may be kind of a stretch, but as an avid fan of TWD, I couldn't help but have vivid and horrifying flashbacks to last Fall's season premiere, when Negan brutally beats Glenn to death with a barbed-wire-wrapped baseball bat. Not only does Joel bring up the very same weapon, but it also seems like Sheila's strong reaction mirrors the abject horror and disgust fans expressed back in October after Glenn's graphic murder. It's so small, it's like a sympathy card to those that happen to notice it. And hey, while we're in the business of extremely subtle references, you may also have missed the Broad City moment from earlier in the season. Oh, and for the record, Sheila's right: the ones you love most do deserve better than a bashed-in head from a baseball bat.

6 Sexy Reasons You Should Date a Funny Guy - ASAP
The following post was originally featured on Love Sujeiry and written by Sujeiry Gonzalez, who is part of POPSUGAR Select Latina.
I was once addicted to hot men. Chiseled jaw and abs, a Roman nose, a fully formed goatee, and a luscious head of hair - these physical features got me every time. The thing is, men that are hot and simultaneously sweet and thoughtful are few and far between. Hot men get everything they want, because they're hot. They rarely think of others because they're hot. And if they ever show consideration it's only because they want something in return. Their hotness often makes them selfish and self-absorbed. I mean, have you tried sharing a mirror with a hot guy?
So I promised myself: no more hot men! At 30 years old, I rejected any dude who looked like he just walked off a catwalk. Instead, I focused on meeting men who were good looking but not GQ-cover-of-a-magazine hot. That way they had a fully formed personality. Ladies, personality trumps physical appearance every time.
Speaking of personality, funny men are way better than hot ones, and not just because they will keep you in stitches. Here's why you should forgo the Adonis and date a funny guy.
He Is Better in Bed
A new study revealed that men who are funny are better in bed. That's because women have more orgasms when they consider their partner to be funny. You'll get your fill of Big Os with a silly lover.
He Makes You Feel Good in Your Skin
Funny men aren't as pretentious as hot guys. That's why you feel good in your skin when you're with him - morning, noon and night. He doesn't pick at your body. Funny guys are less about what you look like and more about who you are. And that's just sexy.
He Lightens the Mood
Relationships can feel like work. Complications arise and so do arguments. When dating a man who is funny, he will know how to lighten the mood every time.
He Is Social
Most funny people are super social, where as super attractive men and women are kind of stuck up. Leave the guy with the Resting B*tch Face, and date the guy who will smile and engage with your friends and family.
He Is Creative and Witty
To be funny, you have to be creative and witty. You have to be quick on your feet. The fact that your guy is funny means he has all these extra amazing qualities.
He Has a Desired Personality Trait
Do you know how many people wish they were funny? Tons. And a funny guy is just humorous naturally. It truly is a wonderful personality trait (and one that you can enjoy when you choose him).

The Details About Princess Diana's Untimely Death Are Still Shocking, Almost 20 Years Later
Image Source: Getty / Anwar Hussein
Princess Diana passed away in a tragic car accident in August 1997, and it's hard to believe that she's been gone for almost 20 years. The fascinating royal, whose beautiful legacy is constantly carried out by her two children, Prince William and Prince Harry, was only 36 years old when she died. After vacationing with her partner, Dodi Fayed, on his father's yacht on the French and Italian Riviera, the couple stopped in Paris on their way back to London. They had only planned on staying for one night, but everything changed shortly after midnight on Aug. 31, 1997. Diana and Dodi left the Hôtel Ritz and were being driven to Dodi's father's nearby apartment by Henri Paul, the hotel's deputy head of security. In order to avoid the paparazzi, Diana, who was one of the most photographed people in the world at the time, had a decoy vehicle leave from the hotel's main entrance while the black 1994 Mercedes-Benz S280 she was in left from the back of the hotel. Diana and Dodi sat in the back, while Trevor Rees-Jones, Dodi's bodyguard, was in the front passenger seat.
Just three minutes after leaving the hotel, Henri entered the Alma underpass, the embankment road along the River Seine, to avoid approaching paparazzi. He then lost control of the car, which was reportedly traveling at 65 mph (the speed limit inside the tunnel is 30 mph), and smashed into the 13th pillar of the tunnel. None of the passengers were wearing seat belts. Dodi and Henri were killed instantly, Trevor suffered serious facial injuries from the air bags (he is the sole survivor of the crash), and Diana was extracted from the car and treated at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital. After undergoing surgery, doctors discovered massive internal injuries, including a large tear in her superior pulmonary vein where it enters the heart. She was pronounced dead less than two hours later. It was later revealed that Henri, the driver of the car, had a blood-alcohol level three times the French legal limit at the time of the crash.

Since Diana's tragic death, the public's love for her hasn't wavered. In the years after 2.5 billion people tuned in to watch her funeral, Prince William and Prince Harry have continued their mother's charity work. In addition to opening up about how "angry" they were after her death, the two royals have made sure that her policy of caring for those who need it most is still met. Prince Harry has also said that he hopes his mother is proud of the work they're doing, and we're sure she is.

24 Easter Eggs You May Have Missed in Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events
It's a fact: everyone loves Easter eggs. I'm not talking about the Cadbury chocolate you eat in the Spring, although those are great, too. No, the Easter eggs I'm talking about are little inside jokes created by people behind the scenes and hidden in films and TV shows. Most of these references would go over the head of the average viewer, but true fans will spot them in names of characters, fleeting images, and pithy dialogue. Season one of Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events has a ton of Easter eggs peppered throughout its eight episodes. Most are from the books, but some are more obscure. Did you catch them all? Take a look at some of the ones you may have missed. Warning: there are major spoilers, a word that here means "look away if you haven't finished watching the series"!
The Bad Beginning (Episodes one and two)
- As Lemony Snicket walks through the tunnels, signs can be seen behind him that lead to different directions. Each sign is named after a character from the book including: Montgomery, Anwhistle, Orwell, Strauss, Fernald, Quagmire, Snicket, Julienne, Remora, Spats, and more.
- Not only do the lyrics of each opening sequence change, but the images shown do as well. They often allude to future plot events. For example, in the opening sequence of the third episode, a movie poster for Zombies in the Snow is seen. The children see this film at the movie theater later in the episode. However, this image isn't seen in previous episodes.
- When discussing wedding cake flavors, the hook-handed man warns, "The other's a little lemony." Count Olaf replies, "I told you never to use that word." Lemony obviously refers to the author, Lemony Snicket.
- Count Olaf performs The Marvelous Marriage, a play written by Al Funcoot. Al Funcoot is an anagram of Count Olaf.
- At the play, Mr. Poe's assistant, Jacquelyn, informs Justice Strauss that she cannot adopt the Baudelaires because their parents stipulated in their will a "vigorously fixed destination." It's just one of the many nods to the secret VFD organization.
- When having his morning coffee, Count Olaf tells Klaus, "I can't seem to find my sugar bowl." Also known as the "vessel for disaccharides," the sugar bowl is an object from the books that is stolen multiple times by various characters.
- Cobie Smulders' role is credited as Mother. She is best known for her role as Robin Scherbatsky in the long-running series, How I Met Your Mother, in which she co-starred alongside Neil Patrick Harris (Count Olaf).
- When the children ask to use Justice Strauss's library, she tells them she has books on "everything from Italian cuisine to the world's most threatening fungus." This fungus is medusoid mycelium, a mushroom developed by Gregor Anwhistle, Aunt Josephine's brother. It's referenced numerous times in the books.
- Right before Gustav is killed, he says, "the world is quiet here," which is the motto of the VFD.
The Reptile Room (Episodes three and four)
- When Uncle Monty takes the Baudelaires to the movies, the attendant gives him the "verified film discount."
- The film they watch, Zombies in the Snow, is directed by Gustav Sebald, creator of the Sebald code and Uncle Monty's murdered assistant. Verified Film Distribution produced the movie.
- After Uncle Monty is killed, Mr. Poe arrives and calls the authorities. Arriving in a van marked "Corner," the coroner (a disguised henchman) introduces himself as Nurse Lucafont. In the books, Dr. O. Lucafont is an alias of the hook-handed man and is also an anagram of Count Olaf.
- At the end of the third episode when the parents are escaping their kidnappers, Mother asks where the tunnel they are in leads. Father responds, "somewhere south of Winnipeg." In the books, the Duchess of Winnipeg is revealed to be a member of VFD.
- There is a teepee shown inside of the Reptile Room that has the name Raymond Ditmars written on it, the name of Monty's iguana. Raymond Ditmars was a famous 19th century herpetologist.
- When the children first arrive to Uncle Monty's house, he shows them a photograph of their parents . . . but really it's just a photo of a piano. Apparently, according to both him and Count Olaf, their parents are inside of the piano. In the books, Esmé Squalor sold a rare piano at the In Auction.
- At the end of the fourth episode, Count Olaf's escape on the SS Prospero is thwarted when Jacquelyn arrives and threatens him with a harpoon gun. In the books, Count Olaf is ultimately killed with a harpoon gun.
The Wide Window (Episodes five and six)
- When Aunt Josephine shops in the market, a woman is selling "very fresh dill."
- As the children order at The Anxious Clown, their waiter says, "I didn't realize this was a sad occasion," which is a code phrase of the VFD.
The Miserable Mill (Episodes seven and eight)
- Foreman Flacutono is an anagram for Count Olaf.
- The eye chart in Dr. Orwell's office reads VFD over and over in different sizes.
- Violet and Klaus use the "Verified Functional Dictionary" to find the code word that controls the hypnosis.
- While Lemony Snicket is watching a zombie film (created by Gustav Sebald), he mentions Nero, an untalented violinist. Nero is the vice principal of the Prufrock Preparatory School - the future home of the Baudelaire children.
Bonuses
- In the trailer for the series, a wooden shipping crate can be seen that is stamped "Very Flammable Dandelions." This is actually an Easter egg to a secret website for the Netflix series. Check it out here.
- Netflix itself is hinted at throughout the series as well. For example, Count Olaf mentions the benefits of commercial-free television. Also, towards the end of the eighth episode, when Mr. Poe is explaining that the children will be attending boarding school, he says, "It's the end of the season, er, semester, so you're going to have to work very hard to catch up." See what they did there? There's no fooling us! There are a few more fun references to the streaming site, but we'll leave those for you to discover!

5 Things I Wish Someone Had Told Me Before I Started Running
When I first got into running, I experienced everything from painful blisters to chafing to unsupported bosoms - no wonder I hated it. I wish someone had sat me down and told me these basic tips and tricks to help smooth my transition from nonrunner to runner. If you're just starting out on your own journey pounding the pavement or treadmill belt, here are things you should know about running.
It Gets Easier
As with most things, the more you do it, the easier it becomes. To strengthen your muscles, acclimate your heart and lungs, and increase your endurance, run at least three times a week. Start off with a doable distance such as two miles. Once that distance feels good, gradually increase your mileage. The key is to move at a comfortable pace for a reasonable amount of time. If you do too much too soon, you could end up with an injury or a deep hatred for the sport.
You Don't Have to Wear Two Sports Bras
If you're well-endowed, running can be painful. I wore two sports bras for the longest time because I couldn't find one that prevented the uncomfortable bounce. A cheap cotton sports bra from Target just won't do. You might have to spend $50 or more, but it's worth it when you only have to wear one bra you trust.
Don't Skimp on Gear
For my first run, I picked up a $25 pair of sneaks and a pack of cheap cotton socks and wondered why I had screaming blisters. You don't need a ton of gear, but what you do need, you shouldn't skimp on. Spring for a trusty pair of well-fitting sneaks ($60-$120), a good pair of wicking socks ($10-$15), a super supportive sports bra ($30-$70), a seamless tank and long-sleeve to prevent chafing ($20-$40), and a lightweight pair of running shorts or tights to avoid wedgies ($20-$40). Technical gear specifically designed for running makes a huge difference and could make or break your new running career.
There Are Apps to Chart Your Run
I often drove running routes in my car to figure out mileage until my hubby introduced me to the wonderful world of iPhone running apps. The GPS not only keeps track of your distance, but it'll also chart your workout time, pace, calories burned, and elevation and give you a map of your run. Being able to track your workout might motivate you to keep going so you can beat your personal records.
Running Outside Is Harder Than the Treadmill
My power was out one morning - meaning no treadmill time for me - so I decided to run outside instead. It was so much harder! The real hills, the uneven terrain, the wind, the sun, the heat - it all makes running tougher than it already is. But I'll tell you, once I started running outside, I saw a huge improvement in my strength and endurance. I even lost the five extra pounds I could never quite shake, and my muscle definition was noticeable to others ("Damn, look at your calves!"). I know people are in love with their treadmills, but I wish someone suggested I run outside because the difficulty made me a better runner.
