7 Things You Never Thought You'd Do . . . Until You Had Kids
Before I had kids, I was sure I knew what having kids would look like. I pictured tucking them in at night, kissing them sweetly on their foreheads, snuggling over stories, tickling and laughing, enjoying family meal time, and taking walks hand in hand. Sure, they'd cry sometimes, but I would patiently soothe them like the wonderful mother I just knew I'd be.
Let's pause for a moment to get the laughter out of our systems, shall we? Because I'm pretty sure you know what happened to all of those maternal fantasies once I actually gave birth to offspring. When the reality of being responsible for another human being sets in, so does real-life parenting - which can differ wildly from your pre-kid illusions. You find yourself doing things that you never in a million years would have dreamed of doing before. Things you would have laughed at the mere thought of.
Things like:
- Sniffing someone else's butt. The phrase, "Did you poop?" will come out of your mouth numerous times during early parenthood, which in itself is depressing. But then comes the inevitable follow-up: confirming the dump via direct inhale. What else are you gonna do, though - stick your finger in to check? Sniffing is, unfortunately, the lesser of two evils.
- Picking someone else's nose. Speaking of sticking your finger in, there will come a time when you're forced to remove a booger for someone who isn't able to do it unassisted. Not only will you be picking someone else's nose, but you'll be restraining that person as they struggle against your efforts. Lucky you!
- Eating someone's table scraps. Cold chicken nuggets, bitten sandwich halves - this is the stuff of a mom's diet (and much of the reason behind that extra 10 or 15 pounds parenthood makes you gain). Thought you'd never be hunched over another person's plate, scarfing down their discarded dinner? Think again, my friend. Think again.
- Spending all your money on someone else. Before kids, you probably had a little something called "expendable income." Sure, you may have sprung for a few drinks with your bestie or picked up the tab at dinner - but by and large, that money was yours alone. And if you spent most of it on, say, a freeloading boyfriend, your friends would quickly provide you with a harsh reality check. Post kids, though, you're out here spending the bulk of your money on another person, rocking clearance-rack fashion while they're running around in stylish clothes they don't even appreciate.
- Cleaning up someone else's bodily fluids. People with no kids are responsible for the excrement of exactly one person: themselves. (And naively unaware of just how wonderful that is.) Then you become a parent, and you find yourself choking back sobs while you pick chunks of half-digested macaroni out of your carpet at 3 a.m.
- Being concerned about someone else's toilet habits. While we're on the subject of excrement, consider this: did you ever think, as a young, idealistic nonparent, that you'd actually be worried that someone else is a) not pooping enough or b) pooping too much or c) pooping out the wrong color/consistency/smell? Or that a tiny turd that finally landed in the potty chair could literally make you giddy? Probably not; yet, here you are.
- Considering 7 a.m. "sleeping in." Remember when you had to wake up at 7 o'clock and thought it was brutally early? Remember when "sleeping in" meant it was damn near lunchtime when you finally rolled out of bed? Remember when nobody woke you up by crying or prying your eyelids open or simply standing creepily by the bedside like a heart attack waiting to happen? When you're a parent, waking after the sun feels like you've won the lottery.
Yes, there's nothing like parenthood to lead you into territory where you never thought you'd tread. But possibly the strangest "I-swore-I'd-never-do-that" thing? Doing every single one of those weird, disgusting, demeaning tasks . . . and not being able to imagine your life any other way. Because those labors of grossness are actually labors of love - and that might just be the most surprising thing of all.

23 Pictures of the Royals Laughing That Will Make You Spit Out Your Tea
The British royal family is a lot of things - graceful, well-mannered, and tight-knit - but one thing about them we can't help but love is their desire to cut loose sometimes. We know that Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and even Queen Elizabeth II haven't been shy about showing off their dance moves. We even know that Kate can shamelessly have a drink in the middle of the day. And we also know that they probably exchange a few funny comments while attending long (and probably boring) events together. But nothing is quite as entertaining as looking at photos of them all hysterically laughing. In addition to the funny faces they make, you can almost hear them saying, "I have actual tears in my eyes! Look at them! Actual tears." Keep reading to see some of their best LOL moments.
The 1 Fashion Fact About Emma Roberts That Will Make You VERY Jealous of Her BFF
Chanel Oberlin might not be too keen on sharing what's in her wardrobe, but luckily, Emma Roberts is nothing like her Scream Queens alter ego. We've spotted the star swapping pieces with her stylist and BFF Brit Elkin on more than one occasion, and even her little sister, Grace, has rocked some of her stuff. So when we caught up with Emma at a dinner for Reed Krakoff's Kohl's collaboration, we couldn't help but ask: does Emma have any rules when it comes to borrowing clothes?
"I'll always share," Emma revealed, pointing out that Brit was currently wearing her jacket and skirt. "I'm very like, 'Everyone take whatever they want.' But I have some friends who have hunted me down for a white t-shirt that I borrowed and didn't give back. So some people are really strict about it. But I'm very much like, 'If you're my size, wear whatever you want. And then I get to wear whatever I want.'"
That seems fair, if you ask us. Check out a few examples of Emma, her stylist, and her sis sharing clothes ahead. Hey, can we join this stylish squad, too?!

This Is What Valentine's Day Cards Would Say If Parents Wrote Them
Valentine's Day changes after you get married and have children. What was once a flower-filled, champagne-sipping love fest turns into filling out tiny valentines for children you don't know and buying your own candy. It can be hard to celebrate your undying love for your spouse when you are so tired you can barely keep your eyes open due to chronic sleep deprivation. With that in mind, I would like to recommend a few greeting cards you can give to your significant other if you have been married a while and have young kids.
Hallmark, feel free to contact me if you would like to purchase any of these romantic, swoon-worthy lines for your giant corporation.
- I know it looks like I hate you, but I love you. Most of the time . . . I think. Happy Valentine's Day.
- Dear sweet yoga-pants-wearing Baby Mamma . . . I've got your lovin' right here! (Points to crotch) Happy Valentine's Day.
- Husband, oh husband. If you love me and want to show it, do the dishes without being asked, seriously. Happy Valentine's Day.
- I love you more today than I did yesterday, mostly because divorce is really expensive and dating seems like a lot of work. Happy Valentine's Day.
- How do I love thee . . . Let me count the ways: one sock NOT in the hamper, underwear on the floor, dishes on the counter, shoes in the hallways, and ah, yes, urine on the toilet seat. Happy Valentine's Day.
- Hey, Baby! Let's drop the kids off at the sitter and go home and nap like we are 5 again. You know you want to. Happy Valentine's Day.
- You had me when you whispered "Netflix." I love you, too. Happy Valentine's Day.
- Roses are red, violets are blue, it's your turn to change this diaper, or I swear there will be no lovin' for you. Happy Valentine's Day.
- Nothing says I love you like remembering to take out the trash. Happy Valentine's Day.
- If I had to do it all over again, I would. I would just do it with a condom - these kids are killing me. Happy Valentine's Day.
So if you want to make sure your spouse knows how you feel, send them one of these message on Valentine's Day. They will feel your love.

3 Reasons to Find Out Your Baby's Gender and 3 Reasons You Shouldn't
A friend of mine, already the mom of two little boys, recently announced she was expecting her third. Because she'd found out her babies' genders during her previous two pregnancies, I figured she'd do the same with this one. Wrong. When she told me that they were letting this baby's gender be a surprise, I assumed it was because it was her last baby and she just wanted to mix things up. Wrong again. "If I find out this is a third boy, I know what will happen," she corrected me. "Everyone I tell will get a sad look on their face and ask if I'm disappointed, or say 'good luck with that' or 'man, your house is going to be crazy,' or something else equally annoying and offensive, and I just don't want to deal with it."
She had a point. As a mom who's firmly in the camp of finding out all information as early as possible (I even paid for a 14-week ultrasound with my second because I couldn't wait until 20 weeks to find out if he was a boy or a girl), it was the first time not finding out a baby's gender in utero actually made sense to me.
After talking to dozens of moms about their decision either to find out their baby's gender or to keep it a surprise, here are the best reasons we discovered for each decision. Still debating whether you want to know what you're having or fighting your spouse about that decision? Ask yourself if you fit into any of the categories below and the scales may just tip one way or the other.
- PRO: You're incredibly Type A (we feel you). Your registry was completed before your first ultrasound, you started a "nursery" board on Pinterest months before you conceived, and your baby is already on the wait list for a night nurse, nanny, and nursery school? Then, yeah, finding out whether that babe is a boy or a girl is probably the best way to keep yourself sane.
- PRO: You're totally into pink or blue everything. You're a shopper, and you need to know in which section to unleash your baby-gear buying beast. Will it be tutus, bows, and pink heart blankets or rocker tees, high-tops, and mustache-topped binkies? Either way is fine with you, but you need to know ASAP.
- PRO: You don't want to feel disappointed in the delivery room. If you have your heart set on one gender, finding out early might be your best bet. No one wants disappointment to be the first emotion they feel when they see their new baby, so give yourself time to process before the delivery.
- CON: You don't want to hear annoying condolences. People are crazy. This has long been established. So if you can't take hearing "you can always have a third" a hundred times because you are expecting your second boy or girl, or "hope you don't have any nice furniture" when you announce you're having your third boy, then a surprise is your way out. Once the baby arrives, people will still make comments, but you'll love your newborn so much, you won't care.
- CON: You don't believe in assigning gender. We're in a whole new world when it comes to gender roles and assignment, and you're as progressive as they come. Gender isn't important to you, so why place a label on your child before you even meet them?
- CON: You love surprises. Parenthood is full of revelations (who knew a 3-year-old could eat $6 worth of strawberries every single day? Or that sleep deprivation isn't a stage but a lifestyle?), but you'll never get a better one than meeting your new baby for the first time, so why not add even more surprise to that awe-inspiring experience?

Here's Why Tracking Calories During a Workout Isn't as Accurate as You Think
With fit tech being more popular than ever, it almost feels like you can't exercise without tracking your workout in some way. Sort of like, if you didn't log your workout on your Apple Watch, did you even really work out?
But what's the best way to track your exercise and how "good" of a workout you got? Is there one particular metric to measure exertion? It seems like many of us base a "good" workout on how many calories we burned - but do you realize how relative calorie burn actually is?
I personally wanted to know more about the best metrics for quantifying exercise to make sure I'm getting the most out of every gym workout, bootcamp class, and cycling session. I chatted with some experts - physiologist Nicole Aurigemma, M.Sc.; Erica Stenz, Barry's Bootcamp trainer; and Michelle Opperman, director of group fitness for Crunch - to see what they thought of my tracking, what they think of calorie burn as a metric, and their favorite way to measure a workout.
Do You Track Your Burned Calories?
When you're working out and using a tracker, do you focus on the calories you've burned as your key metric? This might not be the best approach.
"When you start to base it on calories, I think it can lead to kind of obsessive behaviors," said Nicole. "Like, 'I burned this many calories so I can eat this!' or 'I haven't burned enough calories to eat this meal.' It's a slippery slope."
There are so many nuances to calorie burn - how tall you are, how much you weigh, your level of fitness, your temperature, your resting metabolic rate; you could be working just as hard (or harder) as the person who's next to you in class, but unless your bodies are absolutely identical, your calorie burn will be different. It doesn't mean you didn't get a great workout if you burned fewer.
Combine all those factors with the possibly inaccurate tracking on a Fitbit or an Apple Watch and you've got yourself some pretty useless data.
There are also so many ways that you're bettering yourself through exercise that can't be quantified with calories. "I think hard work can mean so many things when working out," said Michelle. "For example, mastering a skill or skills could equal hard work that has nothing to do with calories burned."
Do You Use a Tracker?
I love my Apple Watch, but when I started looking at my heart rate data, I was a little thrown. During an exceptionally challenging Barry's Bootcamp class, the Watch reported that my heart rate dipped to 47 during my weight training. FORTY SEVEN. My resting heart rate is in the 60s. How was it possible that when I was lifting weights, my body was moving, and I was sweating like crazy and breathing heavy that my heart rate could be so insanely low?
I ran this by Nicole, who said, "If you are moving around, there is no way your heart rate should be as low as 47. I could believe it was 47 after sleeping eight hours in supine position, but not during an exercise."
And while it's not news that wrist trackers aren't the most accurate, it led me to second-guess my watch's tracking abilities for the first time - how am I supposed to quantify my workouts with an unreliable tracker? Do I need a chest strap? How do I crush my brother and dad (my only Apple Watch friends besides The Fitness Marshall) in daily calorie burn? (Spoiler alert: I can't.)
So How Should You Track Your Workouts?
"For me, I measure how hard I work out by how much I am sweating and how fatigued I feel after," said Michelle. "I used to use my Fitbit. But for me I almost got more focused on the number than the intensity of my workouts and decided I preferred to just go by how I feel."
Erica had similar advice to Michelle - base it on how you feel. "The best way that I determine if I've had a great workout is perceived rate of exertion," she said. "For example, on a scale of one to 10 (10 being the hardest workout ever) how did that feel?" Similarly, you can use the talk test as a means to measure how hard your body worked.
She said it's important to keep in mind that calorie burn occurs after your workout, too. "Even if you burn more calories doing cardio, when it comes to strength training, you will experience EPOC - is exercise postexercise oxygen consumption - which means after your strength-training workout, you will continue to burn calories and increase your metabolism!"
If you still need some kind of number, Nicole recommends a chest strap - she uses one from Polar. "I would base your workouts on heart rate as opposed to calorie burn," she said. "The data is more accurate." So much so that she's using her Polar tracker in a study at Penn State.
But all three women emphasized that exertion doesn't always need to be quantified. While I love my data, I also know that even if I don't track a workout, I still get an incredible high from exercise and a mental release that can't be quantified. We so often get caught up in numbers, the decimal points on the scale, the calories on a nutrition label . . . the heart rate on our tracker! While these numbers do serve a purpose, it's best to look at the total picture.
It reminded me of an experience I had at a boutique studio, when the instructor said "this move burns the most calories, and that's the best thing you can get out of a workout," while two women after class told each other that they "earned" their cocktails. That mindset isn't healthy and exercise is all about being healthier, so it's pretty counterintuitive.

Matt Damon "Almost Started Crying" When George Clooney Told Him About Amal’s Pregnancy
George and Amal Clooney gave the world quite a (happy) shock on Thursday when it was confirmed on The Talk that they're expecting twins. Although we're sure George and Amal's family is over the moon, close friend Matt Damon recently revealed that he got especially emotional over the exciting news. "I was working with him last fall and he pulled me aside on set and I mean, I almost started crying. I was so happy for him," The Great Wall actor told Entertainment Tonight Canada about his longtime pal. "And I was like, 'How far along is she?' And he goes, 'Eight weeks.'" Matt then teased George about telling people before Amal was at least 12 weeks along. "'Are you out of your mind?! Don't tell anybody else! Don't tell anybody else! Don't you know the 12-week rule?'" he joked with him. "Like of course he doesn't. [He said] 'just shut up, man.' And then four weeks later, I'm like, 'We're good right?' [He said] 'We're good.'"
The 55-year-old superstar and his 39-year-old wife - a highly accomplished human rights lawyer - are reportedly expecting their bundles of joy this June. The pair had a whirlwind courtship before getting married in Venice, Italy, in September 2014. Matt, who attended their gorgeous ceremony, couldn't help but gush about George and Amal's connection."I'm thrilled for him. She's amazing. He hit the jackpot. Just on every level," he added. "She is a remarkable woman. They're gonna be great. They're gonna be awesome parents. Those kids are lucky."
10 Celebrities Who Love Tequila So Much They Have Their Own Brand
What is there not to love when it comes to tequila? (Unless you had a serious run-in with it in college, then our serious apologies.) The smoky taste of the spirit pairs well with juices to create margaritas, can be sipped alone, and even adds a touch of flavor when added to cheesy dishes. Stars agree with us - some so much so that they decided to endorse the Mexican spirit by creating their own line. From George Clooney to Adam Levine to Jenni Rivera, scroll ahead to see which stars support tequila and mezcal all the way.
Marcia Gay Harden Wants You to Know About the Lesbian Couple in Fifty Shades Darker
You might think Fifty Shades Darker is all about the reconciliation of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, and in a sense, you'd be right. Even so, there's a reason we've got a whole cast of characters to contend with, not to mention the handful of new faces that will emerge in the second film of the Fifty Shades trilogy. With this in mind, it's clear that the films are not just about Christian and Anastasia. Rather, the people around them tell a story and really enrich the narrative as a whole.
While examining the relationships of Fifty Shades Darker, there's one that Marcia Gay Harden thinks might go over your head. We caught up with the actress at the LA premiere for the film, and she clued us into the lovely relationship Christian Grey's assistant has with another woman. We asked Harden what we as the audience might miss if we weren't looking for it, and she said, "The wonderful lesbian relationship of the woman who works for him, for Mr. Grey. She and her lover, I think [the audience] might miss that." So there you have it. All eyes will be on Christian and Ana - I mean, hello, have you watched that sexy elevator clip? - but if you turn your eyes elsewhere, you just might get an ever better story.

Could Mace Windu Be Supreme Leader Snoke? This Theory Is Very Convincing
When it comes to the newest Star Wars trilogy, so much is still shrouded in mystery. Since watching 2015's Episode VII (The Force Awakens), our primary focus has been on the main character, Rey. The world at large couldn't stop theorizing about the identity of her parents. Now that we know Episode VII has been titled The Last Jedi, our minds are spinning even more trying to figure out who the title is referring to. Among all these, one even larger mystery seems to linger: we're talking about the identity of Supreme Leader Snoke. As we consider the suspects, one new theory has come totally out of left field. What if Mace Windu, played by Samuel L. Jackson in Episode I, Episode II, and Episode III, is the mysterious new villain? Let's break down the logic behind the claim.
Mace Windu Might Still Be Alive
As Jackson stated in a Twitter Q&A in June 2016 that he thinks Mace Windu is alive. "In my mind, he's alive. [Jedi] can fall incredibly high distances and not die." It's worth noting that Mace Windu loses a hand and experiences the full impact of Palpatine's Force lightning before he's flung out a window to his death. That said, so Jedi has ever died in the series from any of those three types of injury. In fact, some characters have survived falls of even greater distances. If Mace Windu doesn't die in Episode III, there are unlimited options to where he could be.
But How Could Mace Become as Disfigured as Snoke?
As is clearly evidenced in that very same scene, the reason Palpatine becomes so deformed is because of his own Force lightning, deflected back at him. It stands to reason that Windu could develop the same horrifying scars and pallor from Palpatine's attack. Snoke's huge head scar could be from Windu's great fall. And, hey, they're both bald. It's worth noting.

Wouldn't He Be Old as Hell, Though?
Yes, but that doesn't mean his survival up through the new trilogy is out of the question. After all, Snoke does say he witnessed the rise and fall of the Galactic Empire. Meaning he was around during the first two trilogies. This means he could very well be Mace Windu.
Mace Windu Is in Touch With the Dark Side
Mace Windu notably harnesses the power of the Dark Side, even in spite of the fact that he's a Jedi knight. Even his purple lightsaber is an indicator that he straddles both sides. The trademark blue of the Jedi could mix with the red of the Sith to get this very color.
Mace Windu's Motive For Revenge
So, why would he turn to the dark side? Well, the fact that he's betrayed by Anakin Skywalker may be reason enough. We know Snoke is determined to find Luke Skywalker, and using Anakin's betrayal as a motivating force, it would explain why. Plus! If you subscribe to the theory that Rey is actually a Palpatine, it strengthens the argument and explains why Snoke is so obsessed with her. After all, Mace Windu would want to get back at Palpatine for everything he does in that supposed death scene.
There are even more layers to this, but that's the gist. If you're interested in Mace Windu's signature lightsaber move, his connection to Finn, and the further involvement of Kylo Ren, this video outlines everything in much more detail:

Here's Jamie Dornan's 50 Shades, 100 Push-Up Workout
Jamie Dornan might be starring in Fifty Shades, but his on-set life was all about the number 100. Ramona Braganza, the on-set trainer for Fifty Shades Darker, celebrity trainer to Michael Weatherly (star of CBS's "BULL"), and owner of the 3-2-1 Training Method, shared the behind-the-scenes warmup workout she did with Jamie Dornan to get him camera-ready. Spoiler alert - this is a lot more than a "warmup."
Though this warmup was designed for a guy, it totally works for a woman's body, too. Classic jump-roping ups the heart rate while working the legs, and push-ups target the chest, core, back, and arms. You're going to be fifty shades of sore for the next few days.

6 Unintentionally Funny Moments in Fifty Shades Darker
Ana (Dakota Johnson) and Christian (Jamie Dornan) are back for Fifty Shades Darker, and moviegoers are certainly in for an interesting ride. Even though the film is categorized as a sexy drama, there are funny moments here and there - whether they were intended or not. While some scenes are meant to make you chuckle - like Johnson's nod to her mother's movie Working Girl - others aren't necessarily intended to make you laugh. But with so much melodrama, how can you not? If you haven't caught the movie yet, there are some spoilers in here, but these are the moments that made us and our fellow audience members crack up.
1. When Ana Draws Christian's "Boundaries" With Red Lipstick
Christian has a rule of not letting people touch him, but when his relationship with Ana becomes more serious, he starts to let down his walls. As the two talk about being honest and opening up more with each other, Christian tells Ana to outline his chest with lipstick to differentiate what part of his body is fair game and which she should never touch. First, it's already weird enough that he would have Ana draw on him with makeup (they didn't have any markers around the house?), but the most cringeworthy part is his reaction. He actually looks like he's in pain as she touches his skin with the red tube of lipstick.
2. When Christian Still Has Said Lipstick on in the Shower
After attending his parents' charity ball, the two find that Ana's car has been completely destroyed when they return home. They proceed to hide out in his boat (because that's totally the safest place to go) for the night. Following their stressful evening, Christian jumps in the shower with the red lipstick on his chest still intact. Did he seriously wear that under all of his clothes? There's no way that didn't smudge or immediately wipe off in the shower. Come on, guys.
3. When Ana Tells Her Co-Worker She Doesn't Expect Her to Get Her Coffee
OK, so this was actually meant to be funny, but if you haven't seen Working Girl, the reference probably went right over your head. When Ana takes over for her boss Jack Hyde (Eric Johnson) at work, her co-worker asks if this means she's her new boss, to which Johnson mimics her mother Melanie Griffith's famous line from the movie, telling her, "I don't expect you to fetch me coffee unless you're getting some for yourself."
4. When Christian Tells Leila to Kneel
For most of the movie, Ana feels like someone is stalking her, and this eventually turns out to be true when Christian's ex-submissive, Leila (Bella Heathcote), confronts her in her apartment. She pulls out a gun and attempts to shoot Ana before Christian bursts into the apartment to talk her down. With just one look, he gets her to put down the gun and tells her to kneel. Reverting back to his BDSM ways, he strokes her head like a dog and barks at Ana to leave. Um, OK?
5. When Christian in Turn Kneels For Ana
Following the previous incident, Ana finds herself even more confused about their relationship, knowing that she will never be able to give Christian what he wants: a submissive partner. But Christian is still willing to fight for what they have, and to prove it, he literally gets down on his knees to show that he is capable of submitting to Ana. Not romantic. Just odd.
6. When Christian Bursts Through the Door After His Accident
The two are finally in a good place - and even get engaged - before Christian goes missing in a helicopter accident. Ana is obviously overcome with fear as she waits with his family in his apartment, but all is well when he finally returns home. Of course, how it all goes down is pretty comical. Just moments after the news announces that he's been found on the TV, Christian bursts through the doors completely unharmed. Seriously, how did he manage to escape a burning helicopter without so much as a scratch? Because he's Christian Grey, duh.

Donald Trump Tweeted in "See You in Court" in All Caps and the Internet Lost It
After the 9th Circuit Court of Federal Appeals ruled not to reinstate Trump's travel ban, the president did the one thing he knows best: angrily tweet about it.
SEE YOU IN COURT, THE SECURITY OF OUR NATION IS AT STAKE!
- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 9, 2017
I'll admit it - when I get angry, I sometimes yell and get upset about it as well. However, I'm not the leader of the free world, so I think there's a difference here, but oh well. The internet, of course, could not handle that Trump gave them yet another golden meme opportunity, so they went at it. Check out some of the best ones ahead.
1 Fifty Shades Darker Detail That Will Make the Ending Seem Kind of Hilarious
When it comes to a movie like Fifty Shades Darker, the devil's in the details. For instance, according to our interview with Bella Heathcote, the key to figuring out just how crazy Christian Grey's ex is is noticing the one small prop she wears for the entirety of the film. When we attended Fifty Shades Darker's premiere in LA, we couldn't help but wonder what other fun might be hiding in between all the sexiness and danger of the highly and anticipated sequel. Luckily for us, Eloise Mumford, who plays Anastasia's best friend, Kate, had one fun fact for us that makes the ending seem so much funnier.
When we asked the actress what the audience might miss during a preliminary viewing of the film, she shared a fun piece of behind-the-scenes trivia: "The fireworks scene at the very end, we shot it in the middle of the night. And imagining fireworks is maybe one of the most fun acting things you can do." I mean, it totally makes sense. Launching actual fireworks into the air take after take sounds expensive and tedious. Even so, you can't help but crack a smile imagining Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson, and the rest of the cast looking at the sky and marveling at nothing. And now, that's all you'll be able to do. Sorry and/or you're welcome.

22 Photos That Prove Moonlight's Andre Holland Deserves Your Gaze
While Moonlight is inspiring many newly discovered crushes on actor Trevante Rhodes, I was delighted to discover that The Knick's Andre Holland also stars in the Oscar-nominated movie.
Holland plays surgeon Algernon Edwards in the Cinemax series The Knick, set at a 1900 New York hospital, and he pretty much steals the show. In Moonlight, we're treated to several scenes of Rhodes and Holland together. Though Holland tends toward period pieces, he looks great in any historical era. Here are 22 photos that prove it.
Here's How the Big Proposal in Fifty Shades Darker Goes Down
Warning: spoilers ahead!
Fifty Shades Darker is out this week, and we have a feeling that fans of Ana (Dakota Johnson) and Christian (Jamie Dornan) will be pretty happy with the latest installment. After a rocky start, the two decide to give their relationship another shot, this time with no rules and absolutely no secrets. Sure, they hit a few speed bumps on the way, but the end is definitely satisfying.
It all goes down when Christian has a nightmare about his tortured childhood. After Ana wakes him up, the two cuddle in bed and he asks her to marry him. That's right, he proposes! It's not really all that romantic, but just wait. Even though she doesn't give him an answer, she does give him an early birthday present. The only catch is that he has to wait until his actual birthday to open it - delayed gratification, if you will. He obliges and proceeds to go on a business trip to Portland. All seems well between the two lovebirds until Christian's helicopter goes missing.
As Ana waits with Christian's family in his apartment, she is emotionally distraught, realizing she doesn't want to live her life without him. And because this movie isn't a tragedy, he eventually bursts through the doors, completely unharmed. Now that it's actually his birthday (around midnight to be exact), Ana makes him open her present: a Seattle keychain. While he doesn't seem particularly impressed at first, upon further inspection he realizes the back reads "YES" in glowing letters.
The two announce their engagement to family and friends at his birthday party. Excited to finally have a "sister," Mia (Rita Ora) insists on seeing the ring before Christian assures her that they're going to pick one out together. After mingling with guests, he eventually steals Ana away for one last surprise. He takes her to the pool house, which has been covered with hundreds of colorful flowers. As Ana takes it all in, she turns around to find Christian kneeling on the ground with a huge diamond ring. "Share my life with me," he says with a sexy smolder. "Be mine. Marry me." To which, of course, she says, "YES!"
