This Smart Man Just Proposed to His Fiancée With a Box of Chicken Nuggets
Chicken nuggets are the key to most people's hearts, am I right? That's why it makes total sense that one man decided to propose to his now-fiancée on Valentine's Day with a box of crispy chicken nuggets. "Her love for chicken nuggets, I'm sure, is more than she loves me," Kristian Helton told WAND 17 news station about his fiancée Karsyn.
"I know it sounds bad, but I go to McDonald's a lot!" Karsyn admitted. "And I always get chicken nuggets. I won't get anything else." With that in mind, Kristian knew he had to incorporate her love for nuggets in his epic marriage proposal. Kristian inserted the engagement ring inside of a chicken nugget and also used the McDonald's chicken nugget box to ask, "Will you McMarry me??"
The newly engaged couple met almost two years ago on the Fourth of July and revealed they already have plans to officially tie the knot next year on Valentine's Day. Sounds like a happy ending to what might be the best Happy Meal ever.

That's probably why she's been a model for Balmain, Maybelline, and Versace and is the Victoria's Secret Angel with the most years under her belt. Read on to see Adriana's amazing evolution, and prepare to say "that can't be her; is it?" at least a few times.
Oscar Hall of Shame: 13 Movies the Nominees Probably Want You to Forget About

The Singing Shaq Meme Is Exactly What You Think It Is and It's Hilarious
The internet is moving beyond the howbow dah girl and instead using an image of Shaq singing as their new favorite meme. The meme is simple: use this particular photo of Shaq looking like he's singing and pair it with a part of a song that digs deep.
This meme, while incredibly popular, originally started with a screenshot of Spongebob Squarepants singing "Sweater Song." People used it to describe a part of a song that tries to prove the artist's vocal range, which also happens with the Shaq singing meme.
See some of the funniest ones ahead and prepare to giggle for days.

This Is That Trendy Coffee You're Seeing All Over Instagram
Chances are, you've heard of and probably seen Bulletproof coffee. In person, in cafes, and most recently, all over your Instagram feed. It's popular in the health world, and the subject of many artsy food photos and social media posts lately. What's the deal with it? Is it actually good for you? What's all the fuss about? Let's get into it!
What Is It?
Bulletproof coffee is frothy, oily, fatty coffee. It's essentially putting oil and fat (in the form of grass-fed butter, typically) in your coffee. And although it's currently quite trendy, the truth is that some cultures have been doing this for centuries. Spiced butter coffee is a longstanding Ethiopian tradition! Dave Asprey, the founder and CEO of Bulletproof, found out about putting butter in coffee from his travels in Tibet, where he tried "yak butter tea."
Why Is Everyone Obsessed With It?
Because of the benefits of healthy fats, really. The MCT oil - medium-chain triglycerides - plus the high omega-3 content - can create a satisfying and nourishing combo, and people are losing crazy amounts of weight. Because MCTs are metabolized quickly in the liver, they're used as fuel before being stored as body fat.
- Weight loss
- Suppressed appetite (thanks to feeling full from the fats)
- Improved brain function and mental clarity
- More energy, less fatigue
- Anti-inflammatory benefits (from omega-3s), including better gut health
- Improved mood (also from omega-3s)
Is It Actually Good For You?
With a higher calorie count than a tall Frappuccino at Starbucks and an exceptionally high fat content, this is a polarizing subject - just as the Keto diet is a hotly contested health trend as well.
Dave Asprey is an obvious advocate of incorporating healthy fat into your diet. "For decades, we've been bombarded with one of the most pervasive myths in nutrition and marketing - that fat is bad," Asprey said in a post he wrote for POPSUGAR. "Fortunately, modern science shows us that the right fats make us strong, lean, and vibrant. Fat is the foundation of the Bulletproof lifestyle based on years of research. I've learned which fats turn off cravings, fuel the brain, and support our hormones and overall wellbeing to kick ass every day."
Asprey lost 100 pounds by swapping breakfast for bulletproof coffee . . . so something is working for him.
Health mogul and naturopath Dr. Andrew Weil says this buttery coffee is "a worthwhile experiment for the sake of both taste and health if you are inclined to try it." He recommends using fats in moderation as part of an anti-inflammatory diet, saying "blending a tablespoon or so of high-quality, unsalted, organic butter into your morning coffee or tea is unlikely to do you any harm."
Some registered dietitians beg to differ. "There's all this commotion about [these drinks] because a celebrity or blogger endorses it, but the reality is, saturated fats still - from a supported, evidence-based perspective - have a negative impact on your health, especially your heart and weight," said Lisa Eberly, RD, MPH. "Plus, drinking your calories is a great way to gain weight and slow your metabolism. I have had tons of clients come to me [drinking this kind of coffee] whose hearts look like an obese elderly person's."
Registered dietitian Lori Zanini, CDE, simply says to consider your macros - how are you getting your sources of protein and carbohydrates? "I think the consideration with bulletproof coffee is to understand it is not nutritionally complete; it does not contain protein or carbs, so cannot be a stand alone breakfast."
How Do You Make It?
The recipe is simple, but calls for some ingredients you may not have laying around. If you're following the brand's own Bulletproof coffee recipe, you'll need grass-fed butter, Bulletproof "clean" coffee beans, and "Brain Octane" MCT oil.
You blend your hot coffee, butter, and oil in a blender, and that's it! Blend up a hot frothy cup of joe (some people are even using collagen in their coffee, too), and you're good to go. If you don't have MCT oil, you can alternatively use coconut oil. If you don't have Bulletproof beans, try using organic beans and using a French press - it's what the site itself recommends!
Spoiler Alert: Peeps Oreos Are on Their Way to a Shelf Near You!
It's not even Spring yet, but we have our mind on one very important springtime task: finding Peeps Oreos. They're real, and they're exactly as you'd image: golden Oreos filled with bright-pink Peeps marshmallow creme that appears to be speckled with sanding sugar, just like the exterior of a Peep. The packaging has no shame in admitting these cookies are artificially flavored, and we have no shame either - we can't wait to dig into a package of this limited-edition Easter snack. Instagram user thejunkfoodaisle spotted Peeps Oreos on Walmart's website, meaning they're sure to be available on store shelves soon. If these marshmallowy Oreos are anything like the Marshmallow Crispy Oreos of 2014 (arguably the best limited-edition Oreo flavor of all time), we're in for a treat. Better than an actual Peep? We think so.

Robert Pattinson and Fiancée FKA Twigs Take the Red Carpet Together in London
Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs hit the red carpet together for the London premiere of his new film, The Lost City of Z, on Thursday. The engaged couple looked stylish as they posed for photos - Robert cut a suave figure in a blue suit while Twigs rocked a black zippered jumpsuit - before Rob linked up with his costars, Sienna Miller, Tom Holland, and Charlie Hunnam, who also wore a blue suit for the occasion. It's been a while since we've seen Rob and Twigs in an official capacity - they last attended the Dance Project Gala together in December - but we did catch them on a romantic date night in London just last week.
All the New Faces You'll See in Fifty Shades Freed

How Supreme Leader Snoke Could Be the "Last Jedi" in Star Wars
Now that Star Wars: The Last Jedi is officially in a galaxy not so far away, we're revving up our engines and trying to figure out what will happen next. In January, the official title reveal for the film sent us into overdrive. Upon initial inspection, eagle-eyed fans have noted that the titles form a sentence. Then, of course, there's the larger and simpler looming question: who, exactly, is this last Jedi? Even though we've mostly been looking at the good guys as candidates, one internet theorist has turned to the dark side. Enter Reddit user AnakinKardashian (lol). According to the theory, Supreme Leader Snoke is the last Jedi.
The Strange and Recent Focus on Jedi History
Recent installments of the franchise have been drawing our attention to Jedi history. In Rogue One, we see the planet Jedha, which is where the nature of the Force was first explored and where the Jedi religion was essentially started. In The Force Awakens (this includes the movie and its novelization), we learn that Luke is in search of the original Jedi temple.
OK, So, What Does That Have to Do With Snoke?
It's no secret that Snoke is very, very ancient. In The Force Awakens, he says he witnessed the rise and fall of the Galactic Empire. This means he's been around since the Anakin Skywalker trilogy (Episode I - Episode 3), at the very least. But hey, there's nothing confirming or denying that he's older. It's aso worth noting that Kylo Ren's lightsaber is of a very ancient design. And guess where it came from? Snoke himself. If Snoke's aware of ancient lightsaber designs, his experience could stretch farther back than we think. Plus, his knowledge of lightsabers also would tie him, even if tangentially, to the ancient Jedi Order.
How This Could Tie Into The Last Jedi
AnakinKardashian posits that we could be venturing into Jedi history because the ancient order of the Jedi is much, much different from the Jedi as we know them in the present. "What if what we know as Jedi are not really Jedi after all?" the post asks. "What if Snoke is the last Jedi, in its original form?" If Snoke really is that last living member of the original Jedi order, it connects this new obsession with Jedi history, Snoke's age, Kylo Ren's ancient lightsaber design, and Luke's quest for the first Jedi temple. What's more, if the theory that Snoke appears in Rogue One holds up, it strengthens the argument even more. In the Star Wars universe, anything is possible, right?
5 Theories For How American Horror Story Will Tackle the Election
On Thursday, Ryan Murphy revealed the theme of the seventh season of American Horror Story. In a move completely out of left field, Murphy is going to bend the events of the new season around the 2016 election. In spite of the fact that we had our own theories and were keen on collecting sparse details as they trickled out, we did not see this coming. After all, none of the previous seasons have been particularly timely or topical, and they veered pretty hard into classic horror movie scenarios. Now that we know how close to reality this installment will hew, though, we can still do a little brainstorming. Let's figure out how the season might take shape.
1. A Hyperbolized Version of the Events
In this version, we'd get a pretty cut-and-dried iteration of the 2016 election. That means Murphy would cast the fictional character versions of all the major players, including the Trump family, the Obamas, and the Clintons. Of course, to make it a horror story, Murphy would have to heighten the reality. Maybe there's a Russian murderer trying to silence the election whistle-blowers. Maybe the Trumps are literally brainwashing members of Middle America to follow him like an army of drooling zombies. Maybe the Obamas have been hiding a mythological monster in the White House basement for almost a decade and it gets loose. Maybe aliens are behind it! Things could get weird.
2. Some Sort of Dystopian, Warped Version of What Happened
There's always the chance the season will take a more subtle approach. We might not see a Donald Trump and a Hillary Clinton, per se, but maybe we'll see a version of America in the not-too-distant future with similar figures and similar results. America would have to be crumbling more emphatically. There would be obvious and alarming signs of corruption in the government. Murder and theft would be happening left and right, every hour, in broad daylight. Think of it as a dramatized world, kind of along the same lines as something like The Purge. It's not necessarily reality, but it's not far off.
3. An Allegorical Approach to the Characters and Results
With an allegory, the story itself would serve more as a metaphor for what happened during the election. Instead of Donald Trump emerging victorious over Hillary Clinton, we'd see some other sort of scenario where the "bad" guy prevails over the "good" guy. Certain characters and storylines could represent the obvious adversity faced by the black, Muslim, and LGBTQ communities.
4. A Microcosmic View of What the Election Inadvertently Caused
If Ryan Murphy wants to avoid being too on the nose, there's always the chance he won't center it around the election at all. This kind of falls in line with the above mentioned "allegory" theory, but on a much smaller scale. Maybe we zoom in on one tiny neighborhood to see how the election has changed America. All the same things might be present: the persecution and murder of anyone considered an "other," the dramatic constriction of what one might perceive as a "totalitarian regime," and so on. What small and gargantuan effects might this administration have on the average American?
5. Apocalyptic and Large-Scale Mayhem, Discord, and Destruction
Instead of looking at the effects through a microscope, maybe Ryan Murphy will just blow everything up. Literally. A huge, Trumpian monster will attack New York City, Godzilla style. World War III will send the world into a nuclear apocalypse. The devil himself will rise from the ground and lay waste to humankind. What if American Horror Story just levels the world as we know it, leaving nothing in its wake? I mean, it'd probably make for a pretty insane season.
If The Walking Dead Followed the Comics More Closely, Morgan Would Be Dead
With a name like The Walking Dead, it should come as no surprise that AMC's zombie apocalypse drama features quite a few grisly deaths. In the first half of season seven alone, we saw the tragic murders of Glenn and Abraham, plus two more in the midseason finale. And with the comic books serving as source material for the TV show, we have hints about the fates of future characters like the charismatic King Ezekiel and the awful villain Negan. You know what we also have, thanks to the comics? Knowledge of deaths that could've happened but never did. And Morgan is one of them.
Morgan's story plays out in the comic books much like it does in the TV show with a couple tweaks here and there. Rick encounters him in the very first issue and leaves him as he heads into Atlanta. Much like the show, some time passes before they meet again. Rick is leading a group on a supply run to his old police station and Morgan intercepts them. He's gone a bit crazy over the loss of his son and clearly has lost partial grip on reality. Here's where things veer off, just a bit.
As you know, Rick and the gang leave Morgan behind in the TV show. Morgan eventually sets off by himself. He encounters that man who teaches him empathy and those wicked bo staff skills, and then he finds his way to Alexandria by following Rick's trail of clues. In the comic books, Morgan simply goes with the group that second time around and lands in Alexandria anyway. The comic book version of the character still seems to be deeply troubled by his tumultuous experiences, while the TV version seems to have reached a point of zen.
There's one other huge thing to note about Morgan's story. In the comic books, he sleeps with Michonne. He winds up insisting that he's not attracted to Michonne in that way, and he's still just hurting from the loss of his wife. In fact, even though she's long gone, Morgan still feels guilty and like he's committed infidelity. In the TV show, Rick shacks up with Michonne. And this isn't just any fling: they've grown this part of their relationship, they sleep together, and for all intents and purposes, they're a couple.
And then there's Morgan's death. As you might recall, there's a point where Alexandria's wall gets breached and the community gets overrun by walkers. While the TV Morgan makes it through this, the comic books aren't quite as forgiving. Morgan gets bitten on the arm, and Michonne quickly amputates it with her kitana before the infection spreads. Morgan is taken to the infirmary, and Denise patches him up. Tragically, though, he doesn't survive. During a conversation with Michonne, she realizes he's gone and kills him to stop his walker transformation.
As for the TV show? Morgan is still kicking. At the end of season six, Morgan sets off to follow Carol, who has left Alexandria. The two of them inadvertently end up in the Kingdom, and while Morgan seems to be settling in, Carol is antsy to leave. There are a few small hints that a romance might be blooming between Carol and Morgan. Then again, there are also hints she might end up with King Ezekiel. Looks like only time will tell.

- Geez, kid, you're burning up!
- Let me take your temperature to see what we're dealing with here.
- Just let me put it in your ear, it only takes a second.
- Please sit still, I'll let you watch Caillou.
- Just kidding, no I won't.
- That number would have probably been more accurate if you sat still, but you definitely have a fever.
- Well, this day is going to go differently than I thought.
- Please don't get your brother sick.
- Or your father.
- Shoot, or ME.
- This is going to be a long day.
- Or three.
- I do think her sneeze is adorable though.

- Oh, you sneezed on my neck.
- Not surprisingly, that was anything but adorable.
- How long is it going to take to teach a 2-year-old to sneeze into the crook of her arm?
- I guess you're not going to nursery school today.
- I guess I'm not going to work today.
- Let's relax and rest up since you're not feeling well.
- What do you mean you want to play with Play-Doh?
- I can't disinfect Play-Doh when you're done with it, so no.
- Wait, I hate the Play-Doh, and now it will be ruined!
- Alright, Play-Doh it is.
- Oh come on, kid, sneeze into your arm!

- That goes for coughing too!
- There aren't enough Clorox wipes in the world for this day.
- Wait, did I ever call the school?
- Here's a tissue, wipe that -
- NO. My sleeve is NOT a tissue!
- Looks like I'll be doing several loads of laundry today.
- Look! There's Paw Patrol on the DVR, let's watch some of that.
- (And nap?)
- Please let her nap. Pleasepleaseplease.
- She must be the only child who can be wide awake while this sick.
- The remote is not a tissue either!

- Let's have some lunch.
- You're not hungry at all?
- Alright, well, maybe just a string cheese before you take medicine?
- No, ice cream is not the same as string cheese.
- Ew, this medicine smells disgusting.
- Don't let her see you gag.
- OK, let's take a sip of this delicious "cherry" cough medicine!
- Please swallow that.
- No, don't spit it out!
- Please -

- It's alright, I was thinking of Jackson Pollock-ing our stark white kitchen floor anyway.
- Why did we put a white floor in here?
- Ah right, we didn't have kids back then.
- Yes, that is a mess, thank you for letting me know you made it.
- Let me just clean this up really quick.
- You don't look so great, kid.
- Well, that went from zero to 60 in about three seconds.
- Let me mop up this puke while you sit on the couch.
- OK, the kitchen is finally clean. Ish.
- You finally look sleepy, let's snuggle for a little bit.
- I'm feeling pretty exhausted myself.
- Wow, that was a big sneeze.

- Oh gosh, I just sneezed.
- And I feel a little nauseated, come to think of it.

A Martial Arts Instructor Actually Made a Video Called "The Defense to the Donald Trump Handshake"
Image Source: Getty / Drew Angerer
If we can agree on anything about President Donald Trump, it's definitely that the man does not know how to do a proper handshake. He cradles fingers, holds on for too long, and sometimes even pulls you toward him. People find it so strange that the internet's made several memes about it.
If you ever find yourself about to shake hands with Trump, you can do the following: run or use this martial arts technique to free yourself. That's right, martial arts academy Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Columbus, OH, posted a quick tutorial on YouTube on how to defend yourself against the Donald Trump handshake. The instructor teaches you how to pull a "goose neck" maneuver to release your hand from the shake. You can watch the short video here.
The instructor doesn't necessarily encourage you to do this to the president, but if you ever find yourself in need of getting your hand back, you know what to do.
Charlie Hunnam Looks Dapper as Hell While Charming Fans on the Red Carpet
Charlie Hunnam looked as handsome as ever at the UK premiere of The Lost City of Z on Thursday. He attended the event in London with his costars Robert Pattinson and Sienna Miller, and at one point, he ran into yet another sexy star, Rami Malek, who gave him a big hug as they walked the red carpet. Throughout the night, Charlie took some time for his fans, too, stopping to sign autographs and smile for selfies.
The cast's UK stop comes after a trip to Germany, where Charlie and Robert linked up and stole hearts the at 67th annual Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin. Meanwhile, as Charlie makes the press rounds for his new film, he's been opening up about his personal life a bit, mentioning marriage and kids as he talked to Total Film about his "incredibly understanding girlfriend."
Why There's So Much to Love About the Instant Pot
Everyone has been talking about the Instant Pot ($130 at Walmart), from busy moms to food bloggers to The New York Times. It's currently a top-selling kitchen item on Amazon. Despite its widespread popularity, is the multifunctional cooking device worth it? For a while, I scorned the Instant Pot like a unitasker. I already owned a rice cooker, pressure cooker, and slow cooker, after all. So why would I spend the cash for another appliance? Despite my initial judgments, I still felt pulled to try the cooker out and determine if it's a gimmicky fad or not. Let's just say, the results really surprised me and greatly exceeded my expectations. If you're wondering if an Instant Pot is for you (or IP, as seasoned users call it), here's a list of awesome things to know about the Instant Pot.
- Cook all the things in record time. The Instant Pot is essentially a pressure cooker that also has sauté and slow-cooker functions. Pressure cookers reduce cook time significantly. We're talking steel-cut oats in 10 minutes and chicken breasts in eight minutes. Most, if not all, dishes can be prepared in 20 minutes or less.
- The sauté function is truly awesome. You can adjust the heat, but I found it caramelizes veggies and meat faster and more uniformly than even stovetop cooking. As a bonus, nothing caked onto the bottom of my IP.
- You can switch between functions. Sear meat in the sauté function, then pressure cook or slow-cook it! Pressure cook something, then keep it warm. Changing up the functions allows you to create complex dishes in one pot.
- It's easy to use. Though there are lots of buttons on an Instant Pot and seemingly random beeps, the user manual and recipe guide (that come with the cooker) break each one down quickly so you can dive right into cooking with your device. Just be sure to read them! You shouldn't go rogue with this device.
- It does it all. While there are obvious things like making broth, soups, shredded chicken, and chili, the cooker does some extraordinary things. Make a big batch of eggs (frittata style). Steam up cake and cheesecake. Use it as a rice cooker. Defrost and cook frozen-solid meat in minutes. Forgo soaking dried beans and cook them in about 20 minutes. Make mac and cheese and other pasta dishes in only one pot. The list goes on . . .
- Cleaning is a breeze. I laughed as I lifted the IP pot and rinsed it in record time. The lightweight pot seems to be nonstick (in my experience), so all it needs is a fast, sudsy scrub-down, no exertion required.
- There's endless learning. Instant Pot's website and Pinterest's results for Instant Pot are two awesome sources of recipe inspiration and tips. There's also Facebook's Instant Pot Community that's very active (over 300,000 users), where you can post or read troubleshooting questions and recipes.
All right, I love my Instant Pot. It's the ideal cooking appliance for busy people who are on a budget and want to cook homemade meals but lack one crucial thing: time! While I'm sure there are downsides to the Instant Pot, I haven't discovered them yet.
Fifty Shades Darker: What You Missed If You Left Before the Credits
Fifty Shades Darker isn't a Marvel movie (which are notorious for after-credits scenes), so it's understandable if you packed up and left the theater once the screen turned to black. Unfortunately, that means you missed a very exciting teaser for the next film, Fifty Shades Freed! As momentary flashes of scenes from the third and final movie appear on the screen, you can hear Christian declaring, "I solemnly vow to keep you safe for as long as we both shall live." We get to see Ana with her wedding veil on, Christian shirtless on the beach, and Ana running down a corridor.
Of course, if you've read Fifty Shades Freed, you already know what's about to happen, but it's still exciting to see a sneak peek! The final film is due out in February of next year, and since the second and third movies filmed back to back, we already have all the set pictures - check 'em out.

Fifty Shades Freed: All the New and Returning Cast Members
Now that Fifty Shades Darker has come out, we're all about Fifty Shades Freed. The third and final film in the trilogy is due out on Feb. 9, 2018, and since it was shot in tandem with the second movie, the cast has already been announced. While it was previously reported that Hugh Dancy would appear in the second film as Dr. John Flynn, he has denied the casting. Around the same time, news that Tyler Hoechlin would play Boyce Fox surfaced. Though he did confirm the role, his character doesn't appear in Fifty Shades Darker, meaning he may have been cut from the films. Until we get confirmation either way, we're leaving him out of our roundup. Here are the returning and new cast members that we'll definitely see in the upcoming film!

We've long been bemoaning the lack of new romantic comedies, but now it's time to celebrate the ones that are coming. 4 Theories About Kylo Ren and Rey's "Strange Connection" in Star Wars
If you think the Force has awakened in the Star Wars universe, just wait until you catch wind of this. Recently, it seems the official Star Wars website made two seemingly tiny changes to the bios of Kylo Ren and Rey. On Kylo's side, it says, "A mysterious connection seemed to link the two." Meanwhile, on Rey's side, it says she was "captured by the dark side warrior Kylo Ren, with whom she shared a strange connection." Hold up. Strange? Mysterious? It's true, we had an inkling that there was more to their relationship than meets the eye, but maybe we're not going deep enough. So we came up with some theories.
1. They're Related
One of the most common theories about Rey's parents is that she's a Skywalker. Sure, it's obvious. But Rey does find Luke's lightsaber by sheer power of the Force. She shows obvious Force sensitivity and enhanced abilities out the gate. Then there's the fact that Kylo Ren sees the island Luke's on while reading Rey's mind! Kylo Ren is obviously a Skywalker: he's the son of Leia Organa. If the two are related, it's a crazy showdown of brother and sister, of Luke and Leia, and of the dark side and the light.
2. They're Destined For the Classic Skywalker/Palpatine Model
Another popular theory out there is that Rey is a descendant of Emperor Palpatine. This would set her and Kylo Ren up for a Star Wars face-off that occurs in every single trilogy: a Palpatine vs. a Skywalker. In the first trilogy (numerically), Anakin Skywalker faces off against Emperor Palpatine. In the second, Luke goes up against the same villain, who has since become even more evil. This would create a sort of destiny between the two names. Rey, a Palpatine, going against Kylo Ren, a Skywalker. What's more, the Palpatine bloodline has shifted to the light side, while a Skywalker has gone dark. Who knows how it could turn out?
3. They Mark the End of the Jedi and the Sith
In this new trilogy, there are no Jedi or Sith . . . yet. On the good side, we have Force-sensitive individuals like Maz Kanata and Lor San Tekka and Rey and even Finn. They all demonstrate Force skills in varying degrees, but none of them are Jedi knights. Kylo Ren, of course, is a member of the First Order, but neither he nor Snoke identifies as a Sith lord. Now that we know Episode VIII is called The Last Jedi, it seems we're coming to a real turning point. Regardless of who the last Jedi is, what if Rey and Kylo Ren represent the future of the galaxy? What if everything changes once they both harness their power? It's hard to say what this would mean, but it's certainly interesting to consider.
4. Their Connection Will Result in Insane Consequences
We know Kylo Ren is very troubled. It's clear his journey to the dark side has been tumultuous, and Han Solo very nearly draws him out of it. Rey, on the other hand, seems to have a darkness in her. There's that moment during her lightsaber duel with Kylo Ren, where she very nearly delivers a deadly blow and kills him. Furthermore, Kylo recognizes this darkness in her as well. He offers to train her! What if they switch spots? What if Kylo pulls Rey to the dark side just as he finds himself drawn to the light? What if all the heroes are actually villains and vice versa? It could change the whole trilogy as we know it.
The Last Jedi hits theaters on Dec. 15.
9 Books That Are Becoming TV Shows This Year
There are tons of exciting new TV shows on the horizon this year. From the dark and twisty spin on the Archie comics to the highly anticipated Twin Peaks reboot, there's plenty of entertainment ahead to keep us on the couch in sweatpants for months on end. Of all the impending excitement on the horizon, it should come as no surprise that a good handful are actually just adaptations of beloved books. Much like the movie industry likes to cull literary hits for the big screen, it seems TV networks have started to take a page from the same book . . . literally. Check out all the 2017 TV shows that started out as chapters and words.
5 Things to Crush, Crumble, and Smash With Your Citrus Squeezer
A citrus squeezer is one of those tools that you can get a lot of mileage out of just in its intended use. Think of all the dishes, sauces, and beverages that call for citrus juice - salad dressings, micheladas, and, of course, fresh-squeezed lemonade - the humble citrus squeezer makes it all happen. However, citrus fruits aren't the only food that you can fit snugly in the bed of a citrus squeezer and violently squish with glee.
In fact, there are items that are neither citrus nor fruit that can use some squeezing in order to yield something useful for cooking. Here are five completely unexpected foods that you can transform with a citrus squeezer.
Hillary Clinton Made a Style Power Move You Should Try Next
On Thursday, Hillary Clinton spoke at Oscar de la Renta's Forever Stamp Ceremony at Grand Central Terminal's Vanderbilt Hall in NYC. The series of US Postal Service stamps for 2017 commemorate the famous designer, who passed away in 2014.
The former secretary of state and Democratic presidential nominee spoke fondly of the late designer, saying, "Oscar de la Renta was an immigrant . . . and aren't we proud and grateful that he was." She recalled memories she'd shared with him, including traveling with him to his native Dominican Republic for humanitarian work. Clinton was close to the designer, attending the CFDA Awards with him and wearing his designs to a number of events, including her husband's second inaugural ball.
For her speech, Clinton wore a bright fuchsia pantsuit (her signature look) with bold gold accessories. Her outfit included a large, gold statement necklace that we can't take our eyes off of - fittingly, the feminist icon wore a statement necklace while making a bold political statement about a remarkable immigrant. This is a power style move we're going to remember.
The 6 Biggest Differences Between the Big Little Lies Novel and TV Show
When news broke that HBO was taking the reins in adapting Liane Moriarty's beloved mystery novel Big Little Lies, many wondered how the resulting miniseries might turn out - would the casting be on point? Would it still take place in Australia? Would the story still end with a shocking, twisted death? After watching the first handful of episodes (provided to the press by HBO), we can confirm that the show is not only exceptionally entertaining, but mostly faithful to the book. There are some key differences, though, which range from fairly minor to pretty major. Check them out below, and watch the show when it premieres on Feb. 19.
1. It's no longer set in Australia.
Perhaps the biggest difference is that Big Little Lies has been uprooted from the small, coastal Australian town of Pirriwee to posh Monterey, CA, though the core story is still the same: Jane Chapman (Shailene Woodley) moves there with her son, Ziggy, from Santa Cruz to start a new life. Monterey is also a seaside town, and each episode is full of gorgeous ocean shots and lush, green and blue tones. Celeste Wright (Nicole Kidman) might have been the only one with real wealth in the book, but in the TV show, everyone who lives in Monterey (with the exception of Jane) also seems to have boatloads of money, which you can't miss thanks to the reels and reels of house-porn footage we're treated to in each episode (seriously - everyone who lives there has an oceanfront mansion?!).
2. Pirriwee Public gets an update.
Pirriwee Public is the school at the root of all of the events that go down in the novel, but in the show, it's Otter Bay Public. Don't worry, though, because there's still just as much (if not more) drama between the kindergarten parents and teachers at the ritzy public school to keep you entertained. The only big thing to note is that the vicious "Blond Bobs" (a group of rude, gossipy kindergarten mothers with matching haircuts) didn't make it into the show (Harper is still there to cause trouble, only she does it with long, brown hair).
3. Madeline doesn't have a son.
Incredibly girlie and dramatic, Madeline Martha Mackenzie (Reese Witherspoon) makes for one of the book's most interesting main characters. She's married to Ed (played by Adam Scott in the miniseries), and on top of her daughters, Chloe and Abigail, she also has a mischievous son named Fred. Unfortunately for him, his character doesn't exist in the miniseries.
4. Fringe characters in the book are more fleshed out.
Renata Klein is a high-powered career woman and mother of a little girl in Ziggy's kindergarten class at Pirriwee Public and also Madeline's main nemesis throughout the book. We only ever view her through the eyes of the book's main three characters - Jane, Madeline, and Celeste - but she gets a big makeover in the show. Laura Dern plays her, and she's a major character with her own backstory and scenes that make her a much more sympathetic figure, cluing us into her motivations and family life. Ed, Nathan (Madeline's ex-husband, played by Revenge's James Tupper), and Bonnie (Nathan's chill, yogi wife, played by Zoë Kravitz) also get more time in the spotlight. This works to varying effect, since you might find yourself itching to get back to the main drama surrounding Jane, Madeline, and Celeste in the scenes focusing on the others. Overall, it gives us a much more well-rounded set of characters.
5. Madeline's job with the community theater is a big part of the show.
In the novel, Madeline references her part-time job helping out in the marketing department of the local theater a few times in passing, but we don't really get to see her in action. The show turns that small part of her life into its own full-blown storyline, with her fighting against fellow kindergarten mom Renata for the right to put on a controversial production of Avenue Q.
6. Ed and Madeline's relationship is much more strained.
Although Ed and Madeline seemed to be comfortable in their suburban family rut in the book, their marriage faces quite a few more ups and downs in the miniseries. Scott and Witherspoon work well together on screen and really sell the rougher, realistic bumps their relationship stumbles over, but any fans of their loving romance in the book might come away from the show disappointed.

This Designer Is Sending a Powerful Message on Immigration
Anniesa Hasibuan is a name you should be very familiar with by now. The Indonesian designer garnered the public's attention in September 2016 for showcasing an NYFW runway where every single model wore a hijab. While her first collection was full of breathtaking statement pieces and delicate, shimmery colors, her return to NYFW was all about drama. Much like her 2016 runway, Hasibuan's sophomore appearance didn't shy away from making a strong political statement. In an effort to highlight the beauty of diversity in the United States, every model cast in the Fall/Winter 2017 runway is a first- or second-generation immigrant.
Hasibuan, who's been championing new ways of looking at modest fashion on an international stage, spoke with us before her show about the importance of tolerance and diversity. To hear her thoughts, check out the video above.

These Details Will Actually Make You Excited About the Jawbreaker TV Reboot
Behold, the next reboot in the entertainment industry's tireless attempts to revive old classics! This week, E! confirmed a TV reboot of 1999's Jawbreaker, the cheeky cult phenomenon that is in the same vein as Heathers and other similar dark high school comedies. While it's natural to be reticent about such a development, the Jawbreakers reboot has an ace in the hole: one of the original minds behind the film is already on board. Here's all the information you'll need about the upcoming project.
1. The Story
The story follows a popular clique of high school girls known as the "Flawless Four." In the original film, Rose McGowan plays ringleader Courtney, while Julie Benz, Rebecca Gayheart, and Charlotte Ayanna play her three lackeys. Three of the girls surprise Liz (Ayanna) on the morning of her 17th birthday. They shove a jawbreaker in her mouth and kidnap her as part of a plan to take her out to a birthday breakfast. Drama ensues as they try to cover up what they've done.
2. The Original Trailer
This should give you a good sense of the tone and dark humor imbued in the story. Clearly it's got the same major tongue-in-cheek and social commentary vibes as other cult classics like Mean Girls and Heathers.
3. The Reboot
The reboot has been pursued by E! as a "reimagining" of the original movie. The best part is that Darren Stein, the film's writer and director, is on board to bring the new project to life! It's safe to say it's in good hands.
4. The Slight Tweak
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a few changes to the story have already been made. Instead of the "Flawless Four," the reboot boasts a "new clique," which could mean some kind of shake-up. Also, in lieu of a birthday surprise, the murder will take place at a bachelorette party. Does this mean there will be more witnesses?! We'll have to wait and see.
American Crime Story: The Season 3 Cast Next to Their Real-Life Counterparts
While we're still waiting to see season two of American Crime Story, Ryan Murphy is busy at work casting the third season. As previously announced, the third installment will focus on the death of fashion icon Gianni Versace. The designer was shot dead on the steps on his Florida mansion in 1997, the fifth and final victim of spree killer Andrew Cunanan.
It was rumored that Lady Gaga would be playing Donatella Versace, but sadly that proved not to be true. However, we do now have two confirmed actors in the lead roles. Take a look at them next to the real people.
The Author of Girl on the Train Wrote a New Thriller - and It Already Has a Film Deal
Back in 2015, a new murder mystery thriller hit book stands. Called The Girl on the Train, the novel was hailed as "the next Gone Girl," and it wasn't long before it skyrocketed to the same worldwide takeover. The book yielded a truly twisted movie adaptation - one that got the sign-off of author Paula Hawkins herself - with stellar performances from a star-studded cast that included Emily Blunt, Justin Theroux, and Jennifer Lawrence lookalike Haley Bennett. Now that The Girl on the Train is in the past, though, it's time to look forward at what's to come. More specifically, it's time to talk about Paula Hawkins's next big mystery novel.
The new book is called Into the Water, and according to a press release, it's about a small riverside town in which a mother and daughter both turn up dead, just weeks apart, at the bottom of a local river. Into the Water doesn't hit bookstores until May 2, 2017, so that should give you plenty of time to prepare yourself.
But wait, that's not all! Even though we've got months to go until the book's release, it's already been optioned for a movie. Dreamworks has snagged the rights, and Hawkins herself will executive produce. If it's got any of the intense bravado that Girl on a Train delivered, we're in for a dark ride.
This College Student's Mom Just Won the Internet With This Epic Care Package Prank
Connor Cox, an 18-year-old student at Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA, received a care package from his mother, Terri, that he'll definitely never forget. While most moms send their kids care packages full of candy and treats, Connor's mom did the complete opposite.
Thought my mom was sending me a care package... but instead she sent me a box of trash i was supposed to take out. http://pic.twitter.com/UetdT5UoVP
- Connor Cox (@thedeal_5) January 30, 2017
"My first reaction to the package was pure excitement because there's nothing better than getting mail from home," he said to POPSUGAR. "But then I opened it and realized my mom sent me the trash that I neglected to take out."
Connor says he believes his mother's package was supposed to be "a lesson regarding responsibility," but also noted that he would expect his mother to pull this kind of prank because she has a great sense of humor. "That's how her sense of humor is, always ready to play a joke."
Although his roommate, Nick, thought the epic prank was hilarious, Cannon says Nick soon realized they would be "out of luck" for snacks. Terri, 1; Connor and Nick, 0.
