23 Whole Foods Staples For Busy People
I may or may not have chosen my apartment based on its one-and-a-half-block proximity to a Whole Foods . . . What can I say? I'm a native Texan and have been a fan for life, having grown up going to the second-ever location in Houston. Admittedly, I sometimes do feel like I'm shopping at Whole Paycheck, but I know I'm investing in my health and in high-quality brands. When it comes to the staples in my life, from milk and butter to berries and yogurt, I buy them all from Whole Foods. These are the products that always end up in my basket.
10 Stellar Songs Ed Sheeran Wrote For Another Artist

Over the years, he's written tons of incredible songs for other artists, and we've rounded up some of our favorites.
This Cats the Musical Dancer Gets Real About Being a Ballerina
You might assume that because ballerinas encapsulate all that is graceful and ethereal they're all cut from the same cloth, but we just watched a video that makes us think otherwise.
In a scene from Knock Knock, Rachel Antonoff's new series from POPSUGAR and Watchable, Cats the Musical dancer Georgina Pazcoguin says she sees herself as more of a "rogue ballerina." After giving Rachel a backstage tour of Broadway's Cats - a musical revival that tells the story of a tribe of cats - and inviting her to dress up as a performer (seen in the image above), she shares a bit about how she identifies with her craft. "I [don't have] the quintessential ballerina personality. I'm super outgoing, I'm a very strong woman, and I just decided to embrace the differences."
Pazcoguin's willingness to portray the feminine dancer is a nice reminder that feeling rogue can be a good thing. What's important is being true to who you are, and not focusing on fitting the mold.

Expectation vs. Reality: My Experience Ordering Starbucks's New "Pink" Drink
Starbucks's Pink Drink is so 2016, so it's only natural that there's a new secret-menu drink taking over. The Matcha Pink Drink, which is a combination of the Pink Drink and matcha-infused coconut milk, reveals an eye-catching ombré effect in the clear cup . . . well, maybe. Instagram user dailyfoodfeed shared the first image of the vibrant Starbucks ombré drink, leaving us wide-eyed and dying to try it ourselves. Would it really look as beautiful as the neon pink and green drink we hoped to re-create? As you can see in the photo above, the short answer is "not really."
As I entered my closest Starbucks, I braced myself before approaching the counter - I know that ordering off the secret menu is discouraged - but what can I say? I really wanted that Instagram. I showed the cashier the original photo of the Matcha Pink Drink and explained that it's one part matcha coconut milk on the rocks and three parts Pink Drink. To my relief, she knew exactly what I was talking about and passed along the notes to the barista as he nodded. Because a bigger drink would look the prettiest, I ordered a Venti that rang up as a little less than $6. When I received my finished drink, however, my enthusiasm waned - it was all green! At the risk of being the most annoying customer in the store, I politely asked if the poor guy could make it again. I realized his mistake: he mixed the whole drink together rather than first mixing the matcha drink before pouring the Pink Drink on top. The second time around was more successful, and I walked out with my version of the drink slightly ombré drink.
While the drink may not look exactly as I'd anticipated, there's no denying how refreshing and flavorful it tastes. "It tastes like melted sorbet," one of our editors thought, while another pointed out that the flavor is strikingly similar to the Strawberries and Creme flavor of Creme Savers. Overall, it tastes exactly like the original Pink Drink - which is to say, like a pink Starburst - with just a subtle aftertaste of matcha. Matcha fans were left wanting more of the bitter taste, so they appreciated the last few drops that had the most green powder. If your Starbucks motto is "the sweeter, the better," opt for this fun upgrade to your average afternoon tea. Just don't get it if you're only in it for the perfect ombré effect.

The movie is available on Netflix, and in celebration, we've rounded up the best quotes, which, incidentally, you can still use in your everyday life.
7 Reasons Betty Is the Murderer on Riverdale
Betty Cooper is not to be trusted. During our short time with her on Riverdale, we've clocked her borderline obsession with Archie Andrews, her infamously "crazy" family, and her role as the resident good girl. It's clear that nothing is as it seems in the small town; secrets beget secrets, and crime and discord lurk constantly in the shadows. Oh, and Jason Blossom, one of the most popular students at Riverdale High, is dead. We have plenty of murder suspects to keep us busy, but I'm not fooled by one of the most innocent-seeming characters in the bunch. You guessed it: I think Betty Cooper is our cold-blooded killer, and I have more than a few reasons to help explain it.
1. She Has a Motive
By now, it's no secret that Betty has a vendetta against Jason Blossom. She believes he's the reason her sister, Polly, landed in the mental hospital. It's true that Jason's sinister involvement in Polly's break doesn't come to light until the group finds the football team's "playbook," but it's clear that Betty had blamed Jason long before his involvement with Polly was confirmed. We learn that in the very first episode.
2. She Doesn't Have an Alibi (That We Know Of)
Granted, details surrounding Jason's murder are very sparse. At this point, we only know the whereabouts of a handful of people on that day: Archie, Ms. Grundy, and Cheryl. We'll probably get more as the weeks roll on, but for the time being, we don't know what Betty was up to.
3. She's So Easy to Write Off
You mean Betty? The cute, blond girl-next-door type who's all sunshine and rainbows? Betty seems sweet. In fact, of the whole group, she's the person I'd probably suspect the least. And, well, isn't that always the person you should suspect the most?
4. She Has a Bad Temper
There have been a few Betty outbursts in the show so far, but one in particular sticks out. Remember when Cheryl Blossom is casually hanging at the Cooper residence? Cheryl says something about Polly that sets Betty off, and Betty fully snaps, then tells Cheryl to get the hell out of her house. With a temper like that and an easy trigger, there's no telling what Betty may or may not have done in the heat of the moment.
5. She Has a Dark Side, Is Possibly Crazy
We can't pitch Betty as a suspect without bringing up her "full dark, no stars" moment. In "Chapter 3," she and Veronica plan to get back at the captain of the football team after learning about his slut-shaming history. They concoct this plan to make him confess to what he's done, and Betty goes all in. She has an entirely different look, complete with a jet-black wig - like full Velma Kelly in Chicago! It's like she's another person. Later, she takes the torture a little too far by amping the jacuzzi heat up to 115 degrees and pouring maple syrup all over the victim. She seems to believe she is Polly. Veronica gets super uncomfortable and begs her to stop. Isn't this ringing any major alarms for anyone else?
6. She's Trying to Find Someone to Blame
In "Chapter 4," Betty seems almost desperate to believe that Ms. Grundy murdered Jason, so much so that she goes to great lengths to implicate her. If Betty were the killer, it would make even more sense that she'd take it upon herself to find a scapegoat. Then she doesn't have to face the consequences of what she's done.
7. Her Family Clearly Is Hiding Some Dark Secrets
Let's hone in on that telling scene in "Chapter 4." Betty, her mother, and Archie's dad all find Archie and Ms. Grundy together, and all the drama unspools from there. But it's Betty's words that cause the most concern. If her mother tells anyone about Archie's secret, Betty vows to say she robbed Ms. Grundy and made it all up. "It will be like I finally snapped," she says. "Like Polly. It will prove what everyone thinks about us. Crazy runs in that family. Like mother, like daughter."
The Theory, in Conclusion
So, here's what I think. Maybe Betty's little alter ego is more than just a fun disguise for torturing football jocks. I think she has a split personality - one that she's not even aware of - that may have developed from the trauma of her sister's breakdown. I think there's a chance Betty doesn't know she murdered Jason. She blacked out on the Fourth of July, then Dark Betty took hold and murdered Jason Blossom. It's crazy, but it's exactly the kind of twist a soapy teen drama like Riverdale could pull off.
There's a Remake of Selena's "Si Una Vez" With Becky G - and It'll Be Your New Jam

Why Working Moms Are Amazing
I recently sent a shout-out to all the stay-at-home moms saying how amazing they are. And indeed, they are! I used to be a stay-at-home mom who taught part-time on evenings and weekends, and I cherished my time at home with my little one so much - although some days I went nuts without adult time. In the past two years, though, I went back to the workforce and am going through divorce proceedings, and so my life has changed so much. I've been both a SAH mom and a working one, and both have pros and cons, but for all my ladies working the full-time, part-time, and overnight shifts whether on location or at home, this love letter is for you!
Sisters Are Doin' It For Themselves
Every time you bring home a paycheck, working mama, you are showing your children how crucial you are to not only making their lives run smoothly but also for keeping that roof over their heads! Sure, at age 3 they don't realize what bills and a mortgage or rent are, but when they're older, they'll understand that Mom isn't just the daily chef, cleaner, and entertainer. She's a moneymaker and quite possibly the breadwinner.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, "The percent of the population working or looking for work - for all mothers with children under age 18 was 70.1 percent in 2014." That's a lot of working mommies! We are a huge part of the workforce, ladies. That's right! America's workforce relies on us. Pat yourselves on the back for contributing to our economy, not just your home's economy!
Multitasking Diva
It's not easy being a mom, and when I went back to work, I realized how crucial for my sanity and my daughter's it would be to be on-point when it comes to organizing my life. Multitasking is a part of any mother's life, and when you throw work into the loop, it simply gives you one more thing to juggle. Working moms are trying desperately or not so desperately to manage their homes, their children, and their lives at work. It usually means sacrificing time with your kids and sometimes, certain career goals. Balance is unachievable in so many ways. Sure, we talk about it and put our energies into hitting that red bull's-eye, but it's rare to achieve for more than a brief period of time.
Working moms are the masters of multitasking. From home duties to school duties for the kids to work duties, we know how to shift gears and priorities like nobody's business.
Passion and Possibilities
When a mom heads out or hunkers down at home to work for the day, she is showing her kids what it is like to have a passion outside of her children. Sure, many women aren't working their dream jobs, but a lot of us are or at least reaching to make it to our career dream. By putting in the time at work, you're showing your kids what it means to want something for yourself so much that you put in the elbow grease to make it happen. This will encourage your little ones to reach for their own goals, even if they're difficult goals.
Commitment
When you tell your child, "Sorry honey, Mommy has a meeting today and can't play," it stinks, but your kid is learning what it means to honor your commitments. This is crucial. So many people can't commit to anything whether it's a job, goal, or relationship, but you, my working mommy friends, show your kids every day that you have responsibilities and commitments that cannot be ignored.
Enjoying the Minute
When I went back to work, I started to enjoy the minute with my child - yes, the minute. Or minutes. My quality time with my child was drastically reduced, especially once her dad and I separated, and so time was of the essence. When I was at home, if the morning was spent cleaning, then at least I had the afternoon to play with her - but now that I work, I have set times to interact with my child. Suddenly, the minutes really matter. I put other things aside or I beyond multitask, which means that sometimes, the kitchen is clean but not as clean as I want, and occasionally, things get pushed aside.
Working moms cherish the time they're getting with their children because they know that once the weekend is up, it's back to work, and those park playtimes and craft sessions will be gone. We seize the day!
We Never Win, but We Keep Going
Because we have to be all things to everyone in so many ways - co-worker, perhaps boss, homemaker, mother, teacher's helper, etc. - we often find ourselves frustrated at what we can't do to the best of our ability simply due to limited time and energy. Despite that, we still keep on going and try our best even though we can never "win" at everything and we often lose - but is it really losing? I don't think it is. It's just that in our "mom minds" we view it as failure when really we're doing a kickass job!
To all the mommies: whether you're at home or hanging out in your office, you're doing a great job. It's not who the better mom is or who has it the worst - it's about supporting each other in order to raise happy, healthy kids while keeping our sanities intact.
Amen!
Fifty Shades Freed: All the New and Returning Cast Members
Now that Fifty Shades Darker has come out, we're all about Fifty Shades Freed. The third and final film in the trilogy is due out on Feb. 9, 2018, and since it was shot in tandem with the second movie, the cast has already been announced. While it was previously reported that Hugh Dancy would appear in the second film as Dr. John Flynn, he has denied the casting. Around the same time, news that Tyler Hoechlin would play Boyce Fox surfaced. Though he did confirm the role, his character doesn't appear in Fifty Shades Darker, meaning he may have been cut from the films. Until we get confirmation either way, we're leaving him out of our roundup. Here are the returning and new cast members we'll definitely see in the upcoming film!
24 Talented Women Who Swept Award Season
We're nearing the grand finale of award season: the SAG Awards and the Oscars. Last year, Brie Larson emerged as a triple threat after her stunning performance in Room; Larson got all three big awards under her belt (gown?). On the actor side, Leo had a similar story when it came to his role in The Revenant. It's an impressive accomplishment, but these two are hardly the first ones to take home the Oscar/Golden Globe/SAG Award triple crown - it's happened more times than you might think. Just check out these famous ladies who walked away triple winners.

These Adorable Illustrations of Geeky Villains Will Totally Change Your Perception About Them
It's easy to paint villains from comic books and movies as soulless people who care about nothing. But one artist wanted to look past this perception, so he created adorable illustrations of villains getting hugs from the heroes that try to destroy them.
Created by Spain-based designer Nacho Diaz, the "Villains Need Love" project is about showcasing these characters in a different light - and in a book. Diaz's Kickstarter campaign to put his illustrations in a book and on stickers, prints, and even phone cases was successfully funded.
Diaz chose villains because of how much he enjoyed drawing them and changing the message of who they are. "Most of the time [the villains] are the way they are because they had a hard time in the past, so I thought . . . Would they be different with some love in their lives?" Diaz wrote on the Kickstarter description.
You can check out some of our favorite illustrations ahead.
These Peeks of Jason Momoa as Aquaman Prove That He's the Perfect Casting Choice
In case his crazy Justice League workout regimen or the first look behind the scenes didn't convince you that Jason Momoa is perfect for the role of DC Comics' Aquaman (a trident-wielding half-god also known as Arthur Curry), we've rounded up all the peeks we've gotten at the highly anticipated Atlantian hero. Momoa's hulking stature, no-nonsense gaze, and ability to rock tattoos lend him the perfect look for embodying director Zack Snyder's new take on the beloved hero, and the actor's pioneering attitude and respect for the sea mean that he's inwardly suited for the role also.
Both interviews with Momoa and social media snaps about about his new role reveal that he's ridiculously excited to pick up Aquaman's trident - especially because he'll be able to portray his Polynesian heritage in the role. Check out these incredible moments from the filming of Justice League: Part One and Aquaman's brief appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Once you see how powerful, passionate, and intimidating Momoa appears in the role, you'll barely be able to wait for next year's Justice League premiere! (If that is indeed the case, then here are all the shots you need of him from the Justice League trailer.)

You're About to Be So Into the Theme Song For Big Little Lies
Everything about Big Little Lies is addictive, and you'll be consumed from the moment you hear the opening bars of the theme song. The tune that plays over the moody credits is called "Cold Little Heart," and it's by an artist named Michael Kiwanuka. Fans of Parenthood will be familiar with the sound (and maybe even the name), because he provided a few songs for the NBC series! Listen above; it's just one of many great songs utilized by the show.
Has Millie Bobby Brown Joined the Cast of Avengers: Infinity War?!
Avengers: Infinity War is currently filming at Pinewood Studios down in Fayetteville, GA, and directors Anthony and Joe Russo shared an unlikely peek behind the scenes on Friday. It's a picture of the two of them with "guest director" Millie Bobby Brown. So, uh, what is Eleven doing on the set? There's no real explanation yet, but since Stranger Things also films in Georgia, it's probably safe to assume the Russo brothers are fans and invited Brown to check out their set. Still, we'll be spending the next few days writing Stranger Avengers fanfic.
6 Things We Already Know About The Vampire Diaries Series Finale
The end is near, you guys. In less than one month, we will have to say goodbye to The Vampire Diaries - forever. There are still a few episodes left of the eighth and final season, but the cast is done filming the series finale. Even though it will be hard to let go (who can forget all those shocking moments and sad songs?), we can't help but feel a little excited for the final chapter. If you're curious about what's to come, keep scrolling for everything we know about the last episode of TVD.
The Title
The series finale is titled, "I Was Feeling Epic," Lexi's famous line during episode eight, season one. Seeing that she was actually giving advice to Stefan about his love for Elena, we're wondering if that means Stelena could be the end game.
Who Will Be in It?
Nina Dobrev's character, Elena, has been showing up in flashbacks this season, but now the actress, who famously left the show after season six, confirmed that she's officially returning for the finale! She did make a promise to Julie Plec to come back and be part of the goodbye, after all. While it's safe to assume that the rest of the season eight cast will appear, Plec also teased that we will see even more returning faces from past seasons. In fact, David Anders, who played Uncle John on the series, recently teased his return by tweeting that he's heading to Atlanta where the show films.
There Might Be Another Flash Forward
Seeing that Kai put Elena into a potential 60-plus year slumber by linking her life to Bonnie's, the return of Dobrev could mean a time jump. Of course, that's assuming she actually returns as Elena and not Katherine!
Caroline and Stefan Could Get Married
Even though Caroline and Stefan are facing some difficulties this season (she basically calls off their engagement because of his ripper ways), Steroline fans should still hold out hope. When we sat down with Plec during Comic-Con, she sounded pretty optimistic that the two would get their June wedding by the end of the season. As fans recall, in the first episode of the series, Caroline told Bonnie that she and Stefan (whom she had just met) were planning a June wedding.
Someone Will Die
Entertainment Weekly broke the terrible news that one of the main characters will die in the finale. We know Elena survives (they say she's the one saying goodbye in the cemetery), but who is in the grave?
The Air Date
You can catch all the madness when it airs on March 10.
What Not to Say to a Working Mom
Heading back to work after baby is never easy. However, the hardest part for women is not adjusting to a new schedule but having to hear comments about how they should be stay-at-home moms. While some questions are well-intentioned, others are just flat-out rude. Make these comments to a working mom, and she's bound to shove her briefcase where the sun don't shine.
Let's Break Down the 3 Big Mysteries at the Heart of the Big Little Lies Book
The highly-anticipated Big Little Lies miniseries is about to premiere on HBO, and already people are buzzing about the show's central mystery: who died, and who's the killer? After watching the first six episodes that were made available to the press, we can confirm that the show stays mostly faithful to Liane Moriarty's novel of the same name, but there are still a few big differences to both the general plot and the characters. Could the ending be one of them? While we weren't given access to the final episode, we have a feeling that the characters at the heart of the novel's mystery will be the same ones in the TV adaptation as well. If you've yet to finish Moriarty's suspenseful novel, you might want to turn back now, because spoilers abound.
MAJOR SPOILERS for the end of the Big Little Lies novel below!
Let's get to the basics first, shall we? The book begins by introducing its first mystery right off the bat. Various parents of students at Pirriwee Public School are giving statements to detectives about an incident that occurred during a trivia night fundraiser at the school; someone died, but no one seems to know who did it or how it really happened (although they have plenty of catty ideas about who might have committed the crime). Then, we go back in time to six months before the trivia night to meet young, mild-mannered single mom Jane, who moves to the small, charming town of Pirriwee on the Australian coast with her son, Ziggy. She enrolls him at Pirriwee Public, which is where she's befriended by fellow kindergarten moms Madeline and Celeste. On orientation day Ziggy is accused of trying to strangle a little girl in his class, Amabella, which Ziggy adamantly denies, setting into motion another big mystery: if it's not Ziggy, who is the true culprit behind Amabella's bullying?
The third mystery also concerns Ziggy. In a vulnerable moment, Jane reveals to Madeline that her son was conceived years earlier during a drunken, violent one-night stand that went incredibly awry. The man was charming at first, and introduced himself as Saxon Banks. When they got to the hotel room, however, he began calling her awful names while they had sex, and the situation quickly devolved into something much more abusive. Jane later admits that the reason she uprooted her life to Pirriwee was because on the night she met him, he told her he might be moving there soon. She'd hoped that one day she could confront him for what he'd done in person, but unfortunately she was never able to find a man by the name of Saxon Banks living there.
Meanwhile, Celeste, a former lawyer-turned stay-at-home-mom, is married to successful businessman Perry and they have a seemingly perfect life. They're both Hollywood-levels of attractive, rich beyond belief, and parents to rambunctious twin boys, Max and Josh (who go to school with Ziggy). Although they're the envy of everyone in Pirriwee, Celeste is hiding an awful secret: Perry physically abuses her (but never in the face, so she can hide the bruises). The night of the trivia fundraiser, Josh comes to his mother and tells her that Max, not Ziggy, is the one who's been bullying Amabella (and another little girl, Skye) at school, because he picked up on what his father was doing. Celeste, crippled with guilt, vows to tell Jane as soon as she and Perry arrive a the fundraiser. Just before they walk inside the school, Perry discovers that Celeste is planning to leave him and take the twins with her, and starts to seethe with anger.
Inside the trivia night, the parents are all drunk because the event's food never arrived, and begin fighting amongst each other. Madeline, Ed (her husband), Jane, Renata, Bonnie, and Nathan (Nathan is Madeline's ex-husband, and Bonnie is his new wife) all step outside on the school's balcony for a breather, when Celeste and Perry join them. Jane, laying eyes on Celeste's husband for the first time, realizes that he is Saxon Banks (Perry used his cousin's name on the night he assaulted her). She confronts him and he brushes her off, prompting Celeste to yell at him. He immediately smacks Celeste hard across the face in front of everyone, much to their horror. Bonnie, who grew up with an extremely abusive father, starts screaming about how Perry is the reason why Max has been bullying Amabella and Skye (her daughter), and pushes him backward out of anger. Because of the slippery floor on the balcony and the height of the railing behind him, Perry tumbles backwards and falls to his death.
Right as this happens, a fight between a few dads in the other room comes crashing out onto the balcony, knocking into Jane and Madeline, leaving them with badly broken bones. Celeste begins to scream, and that's when the police are called to come handle the situation at Pirriwee Public. Madeline, Jane, Renata, Celeste, and Nathan initially agree to cover for Bonnie, saying that were all looking the other way and didn't see her push Perry, but eventually she confesses to the police herself and is given a few hundred hours of community service as punishment. Celeste moves away from Pirriwee with her boys, but sets up a generous trustfund for Ziggy with Perry's money.
Pretty dramatic, huh? Although the show has gone in a few different directions than the book, we have a feeling it will totally live up to its source material's ending.

When I saw my Puerto Rican grandmother after returning from a trip to Thailand last Fall, I showed her the bracelet a monk had blessed and tied around my wrist. She wrinkled her nose and shook her head. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree: After telling my mom about spending time in Buddhist temples during the trip, she seemed perplexed. I quickly gave up talking to them about that aspect of my getaway, realizing that in their minds, as a Catholic, participating in anything even remotely connected to another religion is essentially blasphemy.
This was a familiar narrative throughout my life. Despite the fact that we mainly just went to church on holidays, it was always ingrained in me - like it is in many Latino children - that I had been baptized Catholic and would always be Catholic. It never even occurred to me until after college that I had a choice in my own beliefs, that just because my mother practices something doesn't mean I have to.
The majority of Thai people are Buddhist, a creed I wasn't very familiar with before visiting. Throughout the trip, I paid close attention to their religious practices: amulets on a cab driver's dashboard, covered shoulders while entering a temple, bows of reverence in front of Buddha images. It was worlds away from the rosaries and crucifixes of my upbringing. I found myself curious, wanting to learn more about this belief system. But I also felt guilty, imagining God or (almost as bad!) my grandmother could hear my thoughts. Knowing that more than half of Latinos in the US are Catholic, I wondered: Would considering another faith make me less Latina? How do you know what you believe, vs. what you've been told to believe?
Inside the 150-foot tall Big Buddha temple in Phuket, I saw people approaching a monk on their knees. Instinct led me to follow suit. As I kneeled before him, he smiled, whispering something as he tied a bracelet around my wrist. I walked away in a daze, climbing the stairs to check out the temple's 360-degree views of the island. The panorama left me breathless; I pulled my shawl tighter around my shoulders to cover the goose bumps forming on my arms. And then, I heard the lightest whisper, so quiet I was sure I'd imagined it: "Peace." I looked around, but I saw what I already knew. My friends were on the other side of the shrine, and I was alone. I closed my eyes and held the gold cross around my neck - the one my grandmother gave me when I was a baby - and thanked God for that moment.
Since, the word peace keeps nudging its way into my brain, whether I'm in mass or running 20 minutes late to work because of subway delays. For now, I still consider myself Catholic, and I 110 percent believe in God. But exploring a completely different culture taught me that my beliefs don't have to be so black and white. I can be a practicing Catholic who receives Communion, meditates, and accepts messages of peace from monks. That doesn't make me any less Catholic or Latina. It just makes me, me.

81 Fashion Icons Take a Stand on Immigration in This Powerful Video
Following Donald Trump's failed immigrant ban from seven major Muslim countries, fashion industry leaders came together during New York Fashion Week to show their support. In the video made by W Magazine, 81 models, editors, designers, influencers, and photographers proudly proclaim, "I am an immigrant."
It shouldn't come as a surprise that the fashion industry is deeply upset with the decisions coming from the White House, given how many foreign designers and models work in the business. At New York Fashion Week, many brands like Mara Hoffman, Tome, Jonathan Simkhai, and Prabal Gurung decided to take a stand by centering their shows around political issues such as feminism and immigration.
It's hard to think about what American fashion would be like without these incredible designers, editors, and other industry experts. They've brought their own unique world view to their art, and just like the rest of the US, they've made American fashion a beautiful melting pot.
The political statements made within this video and at Fashion Week are indications that the industry isn't going to take the next four years sitting down. Keep reading to watch the incredible video and see behind-the-scenes photos.

In This Powerful Video About Body Image, 2 Friends Share Their Greatest Insecurities
As terrible as it is, we all have some things we hate about our bodies. In the movie Mean Girls, queen bee Regina George complained about her huge pores, but was grossed out when the only negative thought Cady Heron had about herself was her morning breath. The truth is, we are so much harder on ourselves than we are on the people closest to us. We don't treat our friends harshly the way Regina George did, but somehow we manage to treat ourselves worse.
Producers from The Scene wanted to bring attention to the horrible way we treat ourselves by recruiting two best friends to sit next to each other and write down things they don't like about their own bodies. Alyssa has struggled with anorexia and her best friend Tiffany struggles with body image, but hearing their negative thoughts out loud takes their relationship with each other and their relationships with themselves to a new level.
In the video above, originally shared last year, the women read through their lists, depicting their biggest insecurities and it's painful. It's painful for Alyssa and Tiffany, and it's incredibly eyeopening for the viewers. "Wow, I am hurting myself so much all the time," Alyssa told her friend a week after recording the video.
The girls hold hands and agree that moving forward they need to pretend they are talking to each other while thinking these negative thoughts. The video ends with a final note and a powerful point: "Why do we say things to ourselves that we wouldn't ever say to (or think about) our best friends? Be a best friend to yourself."

The '90s It Girls You Wanted (and Still Kind of Want) to Be
Ahh, the '90s. A time of Sassy and Jane magazines, MTV playing actual music videos, and devastatingly overtweezed eyebrows. We've brought back many of the decade's biggest trends, from Doc Martens and babydoll dresses to chokers and Lisa Frank - we've even rebooted some of the classic shows, like Boy Meets World, Full House, and The X-Files. In addition to the fashion, beauty, and entertainment highlights that have made their way back, there are lots of celebrities who had a huge '90s heyday and are still serving serious style now. Stars like Liv Tyler, Halle Berry, Drew Barrymore, and Winona Ryder have continued to inspire us, just like they did when we idolized them as teenagers.
Yes, we can sing the praises of Beyoncé, Jennifer Lawrence, Gigi Hadid, and Emma Watson all day, but before them came a crop of impossibly cool women who paved the way and showed us that there were so many different ways to be strong and smart and not take any sh*t.

5 Theories That Could Explain Who Rey's Parents Are in Star Wars
We came away from watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens with more questions than we can count, but the one that hasn't ceased to stop itching our brains since we left the movie theater is the matter of Rey's parents. While the character, played by Daisy Ridley, is unquestionably the hero of Episode VII, much of her past and familial lineage is shrouded in mystery. J.J. Abrams shed some light on the topic during an appearance at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2016 that seems to have ruled out the biggest theories about Rey's parents, saying, "Rey's parents are not in Episode VII, so I can't possibly say in this moment who they are. But I will say it is something that Rey thinks about, too." Is Abrams just trying to throw fans off the scent of Rey's real parents? Now that the title of Episode VIII has been revealed, we're revisiting our major theories. major spoilers below!
These Are the Top 10 Trending Haircuts For Spring, According to Stylists
It's around this time that the "new year, new you" chants have exhausted themselves. If, like us, you're feeling a little burnt out at work or at trying to keep up with your fitness resolutions and clean-eating regimen, then you're probably also looking for something to look forward to.
Spring is in so many ways symbolic of a reawakening. It's this seasonal rebirth that affords us our own personal renaissance, one that we're intensely happy for, especially if - and, let's be honest, when - those resolutions have become a little worse for wear. With the upcoming change in seasons, we're most excited for what's trending in hair.
Hairstylist Tracy Rasmussen from Brooklyn-based salon Bull in the Heather believes (and we can't disagree) that a haircut can define your entire look. "It can boost your confidence and be the finishing touch that pulls your style together," she said.
Expect natural texture to be back in full force, for next season's cuts to feature modern twists on past favorites, and an abundance of streamlined bobs-to-lobs. Keep reading to learn more about the styles you'll be requesting when the leaves return to the trees.

You Might Have "Mommy Brain" If . . .
From the sleep deprivation and the stress to the constant multitasking, "mommy brain" is very real side effect of motherhood, and it strikes when we least expect it. This phenomenon turns highly intelligent women into hot frazzled messes once they bring children into this world. If you suffer from "baby brain drain," join the club - it's nailed nearly every mama I know, and like with most things in life, all we can do is laugh. I personally curse the mommy brain daily.
Curious if you've got it too? Well, you might have mommy brain if you've ever done any of the following . . .
