According to Justin, "There was nothing starry about the way we got together. It was very un-Hollywood-esque, in fact. We met and got talking. Afterwards, I asked my friend if I could call her and ask her out. My friend called Jessica and Jessica said, 'Yes.' So, I called her."
During a press conference with the Hollywood Foreign Press in 2012, the "Can't Stop the Feeling" singer revealed the sweet reason why he decided to ask her out over the phone, stating, "That's something I learned from both my stepdad and my grandfather. That there is a thing called chivalry and it doesn't have to die with the birth of the internet. The way I see it, if you're asking a girl out on a date, it's only right to do it in a way that she can hear your voice. I had to be pretty persistent in order to get her to say yes. But I have a fair amount of tenacity and if I want something I stick to it. And in the end, she agreed."
After going through a bit of a rough patch (the couple briefly split in 2011), Justin ended up popping the question over the holidays in 2011, and the two tied the knot in Italy less than a year later. They welcomed their first child, son Silas, in April 2015, and have been making us melt with all their cute moments ever since.

Behold, the next reboot in the entertainment industry's tireless attempts to revive old classics! This week, E! confirmed a TV reboot of 1999's Jawbreaker, the cheeky cult phenomenon that is in the same vein as Heathers and other similar dark high school comedies. While it's natural to be reticent about such a development, the Jawbreakers reboot has an ace in the hole: one of the original minds behind the film is already on board. Here's all the information you'll need about the upcoming project.
1. The Story
The story follows a popular clique of high school girls known as the "Flawless Four." In the original film, Rose McGowan plays ringleader Courtney, while Julie Benz, Rebecca Gayheart, and Charlotte Ayanna play her three lackeys. Three of the girls surprise Liz (Ayanna) on the morning of her 17th birthday. They shove a jawbreaker in her mouth and kidnap her as part of a plan to take her out to a birthday breakfast. Drama ensues as they try to cover up what they've done.
2. The Original Trailer
This should give you a good sense of the tone and dark humor imbued in the story. Clearly it's got the same major tongue-in-cheek and social commentary vibes as other cult classics like Mean Girls and Heathers.

The reboot has been pursued by E! as a "reimagining" of the original movie. The best part is that Darren Stein, the film's writer and director, is on board to bring the new project to life! It's safe to say it's in good hands.

Holy Sh*t: Rey Could Be a Palpatine in the New Star Wars Trilogy
It's been well over a year since Star Wars: The Force Awakens blasted into our galaxy, and we're still processing. While there are some lingering questions about the latest trilogy, one glaring mystery seems to stick out among the rest: who the hell are Rey's parents? While there are plenty of plausible theories, one insane internet claim out there alleges the most unexpected lineage for Rey: she could be related to Emperor Palpatine. Is Rey the granddaughter of the evil Sith Lord? We're unpacking all the most prominent evidence so you can decide for yourself.
Her Fighting Style Is Similar
Rey's first move in her lightsaber duel with Kylo Ren is a forward stab. This also happens to be the exact same first move Emperor Palpatine executes in Revenge of the Sith. It's also worth noting that these are the only two Force-sensitive individuals to use this form of attack. They also share another move: swinging the lightsaber overhead and bringing it down, sledgehammer style. It can't just be coincidence . . . can it?
Rey Seems to Be Pulled Toward the Dark Side
There are a few passing moments in The Force Awakens that indicate a darkness within Rey. It's interesting to see how much she relishes telling Kylo Ren that he'll never be as great as Darth Vader. Later during their lightsaber battle, her bloodlust almost seems uncontrollable, and there's a moment near the end where she almost delivers a final deadly blow . . . until she lets him live. Could she be teetering on the edge of the dark side? Is it possible she has the power of the Sith running through her veins?
OK, Wait, Isn't Luke Rey's Father?
While Luke has been one of the most popular picks among the candidates for Rey's parents, there's a lot of evidence to suggest that it's just not so. First and foremost, it's simply just too obvious. The Force Awakens is filled with nods to a connection between Luke and Rey. There's the fact that Luke's lightsaber "calls out" to her. Then there's all of her Force-sensitivity and Jedi mind tricks, and that loaded scene with Luke himself at the end. It's so obvious! It's so heavy-handed! It would just be way too easy.
It stretches beyond that, of course. If Rey were Luke's daughter, could we really believe Han Solo and Leia Organa knew nothing of her existence? And why would Maz Kanata imply that Rey's parents were dead? If Luke is not the father, it leaves room for someone else.
The Skywalker vs. Palpatine Phenomenon
It's worth noting that this dichotomy appears in every Star Wars trilogy. In the original trilogy, Luke Skywalker faces off against Emperor Palpatine. In the next trilogy, Anakin Skywalker, still teetering on the edge of the dark side, also fights Palpatine before he becomes the deformed Sith Lord we recognize him as. In the new trilogy, Kylo Ren is a Skywalker. His mother is Leia Organa! Wouldn't it make the most sense to have another destined face-off? A Skywalker against Rey, a Palpatine? Furthermore, it would almost add a dash of poetic impact to the new movies. With a Skywalker as a Jedi and a Palpatine as a Sith in the preexisting films, this new entry is flipping everything on its head. Kylo Ren, the Skywalker, is a Sith. And Rey, possibly a Palpatine, is on the good side . . . for now.
There's so much more to unpack: the fact that Supreme Leader Snoke and Kylo Ren are obsessed with getting their hands on Rey, the fact that Rey is skewed toward the dark side on the poster for The Force Awakens, and even Luke's apparent apprehension in that haunting final scene. One of the most common desires in Harry Potter fan circles is for J.K. Rowling to write a series of books about the Marauders (aka Harry's father, James Potter, and his best friends from Hogwarts, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew). While Rowling has, sadly, shot down ideas about a Marauders prequel in the past, that doesn't mean that fans can't take things into their own hands! Enter: Severus Snape and the Marauders, a high-budget Harry Potter fan film, paid for and created entirely by diehard Potterheads.
The 25-minute film centers on Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, Prongs, and the Half-Blood Prince as they bid Hogwarts goodbye and enter the real wizarding world - and trust us, if you're a fan, you need to set aside time to watch the entire thing. The casting of Severus Snape, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew is particularly excellent, and the fan film is so high quality that you'll feel as if you're watching a brand-new Harry Potter movie.

6 Things You Didn't Know About Ed Sheeran's New Song, "Shape of You"
At the beginning of the year, Ed Sheeran emerged from from a year-long hiatus with two very different new songs. While "Castle on a Hill" has more somber vibes, the other song, called "Shape of You" has more a beat to it. Recently, the latter song seems to have gained Sheeran's favor; he sang it on Saturday Night Live, and the very next day he performed it at the Grammys. With so much attention on the song (and a fire dance video, to boot), we decided to uncover a few fun facts about Sheeran's new sound.
1. It Was Originally Meant For Rihanna
In an interview with BBC Radio back in January, Sheeran revealed that he originally wrote the song with Rihanna in mind. "We were writing this song and I was like, 'This would really work for Rihanna.'" he revealed. "And then I started singing lyrics like 'putting Van The Man on the jukebox' and I was like, 'Well, she's not really going to sing that, is she?' And then we sort of decided halfway through that we were just going to make it for me."
2. Then It Was Meant For Someone Else
In the same interview, Sheeran explained that Rihanna wasn't the only artist the song was going to go to. Once he brought the song to his label, he suggested that it go to Rudimental, a British band. It was his label, actually, that suggested he use it for himself.
3. He Probably Wrote It About His Current Girlfriend
Although Sheeran tends to keep pretty private about his relationship with Cherry Seaborn, there's evidence the song is about her. After all, Sheeran says above he was the one working on the lyrics. Of course, "I'm in love with your body" is a dead giveaway, but other hints (like the "thrifty" first date) hearken back to what might be Sheeran's younger years. And, as Sheeran has said before, he and Seaborn grew up three or four miles away from each other.
4. It Wasn't Supposed to Be on His New Album
Another fun fact from that BBC Radio interview: "Shape of You" almost didn't make the cut. "This was the last song that was finished," he said, "and I just didn't put two and two together that this was even going to be on the album. I just kind of wrote it and was like 'Oh, that was fun.'"
5. He Almost Forgot That Signature Style He Used For His Grammy Performance
After taking his hiatus, Sheeran admitted he had forgotten the words to some of his most popular songs, and he had to relearn how to use a looping station. The machine is a signature of his performance style; it lets him loop his own sounds and, in essence, to put on a one-man show. He actually just did it during his Grammys performance, if you want to get a sense of what we're talking about.
6. One of the Songwriters Has a Very Famous Girlfriend

What This Devastated Mom Wishes She'd Known Before a Friendly Dog Attacked Her Son
On Christmas Eve, two dogs that seemed friendly mauled Tracy Dowdy's child. Since that viscous attack, this devoted mom is sharing their story in the hopes that other parents will learn from her family's tragedy as her son recovers from his full-body injuries.
In a blog post describing the harrowing ordeal, Tracy says that Ethan was simply playing in his grandma's yard before the incident. She explained that her 7-year-old grew up running through the grass, climbing from the old oak tree, and playing with the neighbor's dogs, but knowing these pit bulls wasn't enough to keep her child safe.
"I want to begin by saying I've always been a 'dog person.' It is not my intention to instill undue fear through the sharing of my family's story, as I'm very much aware of the joy pets can add to a home," Tracy wrote. "It is, however, my hope that our experience will inspire parents and dog owners to exercise great caution when kids and dogs mix - no matter how well you know the dog or how comfortable the child is around dogs."
On this night, Ethan was playing by hanging from his knees and swinging from a tree branch when the dogs he's known his entire life grabbed him by the jacket. "[They] dragged him over the fence, where they attacked him, biting his face, neck and body," Tracy wrote. "A mom knows that haunting sound; the kind of wail that clearly says 'this is not just a scrape,' and sends a chill up your spine."
By the time Tracy and her husband made it over to their child, they discovered that he was at the mercy of the dogs. "My husband says I didn't just climb the fence, I cleared it. My maternal instinct kicked in, and I had to get my boy back," she described. "Our sweet boy was bloodied, with one ear hanging off and the other gone. His body was covered in bite marks, and he was in and out of consciousness."
Ethan received more 300 stitches and surgeons were able to reattach his left ear. However, they had to sew his right ear into his belly with the hope that new tissue necessary for future reattachment will grow.
As her son continues to recover physically and mentally as he battles panic attacks, night terrors, and anxiety from this traumatic event, Tracy is asking that all parents learn from her child's experience. "I encourage you to read these tips, remember our story, and share this with the parents and dog owners in your life," she pleaded.

On Feb. 8, a girl scout and her mother found themselves in a frightening situation when they were robbed at gunpoint while selling cookies outside of a grocery store in Union City, CA. Police say the alleged robber was wearing a black hoodie when he approached the two and pretended to be interested in purchasing cookies before getting away with all of their hard-earned cash. So far no arrest have been made.
Heather Burlew-Hayden, spokeswoman of Girl Scouts of Northern California, told ABC 7 News that the mother and daughter were "very emotional" following the scary incident. "Very concerned about the safety of other people doing this," she added. The shocking news not only upset locals in the area, but also members of the Union City police department.
"I mean, we see all kinds of awful things, but this is horrible. This is bad," said officer Lisa Gratez. To combat the senseless robbery, Union City police officers brought out several boxes of Girl Scout cookies in a heartwarming act of kindness. In total, the police department raised almost $600. "At that time, we did what we could to make it, loving and compassionate and healing," Graetz told ABC 7 News.

If The Walking Dead Followed the Comics More Closely, Morgan Would Be Dead

With a name like The Walking Dead, it should come as no surprise that AMC's zombie apocalypse drama features quite a few grisly deaths. In the first half of season seven alone, we saw the tragic murders of Glenn and Abraham, plus two more in the midseason finale. And with the comic books serving as source material for the TV show, we have hints about the fates of future characters like the charismatic King Ezekiel and the awful villain Negan. You know what we also have, thanks to the comics? Knowledge of deaths that could've happened but never did. And Morgan is one of them.
Morgan's story plays out in the comic books much like it does in the TV show with a couple tweaks here and there. Rick encounters him in the very first issue and leaves him as he heads into Atlanta. Much like the show, some time passes before they meet again. Rick is leading a group on a supply run to his old police station and Morgan intercepts them. He's gone a bit crazy over the loss of his son and clearly has lost partial grip on reality. Here's where things veer off, just a bit.
As you know, Rick and the gang leave Morgan behind in the TV show. Morgan eventually sets off by himself. He encounters that man who teaches him empathy and those wicked bo staff skills, and then he finds his way to Alexandria by following Rick's trail of clues. In the comic books, Morgan simply goes with the group that second time around and lands in Alexandria anyway. The comic book version of the character still seems to be deeply troubled by his tumultuous experiences, while the TV version seems to have reached a point of zen.
There's one other huge thing to note about Morgan's story. In the comic books, he sleeps with Michonne. He winds up insisting that he's not attracted to Michonne in that way, and he's still just hurting from the loss of his wife. In fact, even though she's long gone, Morgan still feels guilty and like he's committed infidelity. In the TV show, Rick shacks up with Michonne. And this isn't just any fling: they've grown this part of their relationship, they sleep together, and for all intents and purposes, they're a couple.

And then there's Morgan's death. As you might recall, there's a point where Alexandria's wall gets breached and the community gets overrun by walkers. While the TV Morgan makes it through this, the comic books aren't quite as forgiving. Morgan gets bitten on the arm, and Michonne quickly amputates it with her kitana before the infection spreads. Morgan is taken to the infirmary, and Denise patches him up. Tragically, though, he doesn't survive. During a conversation with Michonne, she realizes he's gone and kills him to stop his walker transformation.
As for the TV show? Morgan is still kicking. At the end of season six, Morgan sets off to follow Carol, who has left Alexandria. The two of them inadvertently end up in the Kingdom, and while Morgan seems to be settling in, Carol is antsy to leave. There are a few small hints that a romance might be blooming between Carol and Morgan. Then again, there are also hints she might end up with King Ezekiel. Looks like only time will tell.

Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast is nearly a month away, and we can barely contain our excitement. While the posters, stills, and soundtrack have appropriately pumped us up, we're just excited to see one of our favorite childhood movies come to life on the big screen. The adaptation is straying a little bit from the animated version, but it is staying true to a few things, including the musical aspect. We've already gotten our first listen to Emma Watson's singing voice in the trailer, but what about the Beast? Well, the short answer is yes. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the English actor revealed that Alan Menken, who penned the original score, wrote a brand-new song specifically for the Beast. Stevens's wife, Susie Hariet, even helped with his audition since she's a jazz musician and singing teacher. "We're a pretty musical household and it was lovely to have that," he said. "We've never really sung together all that much. It was a really beautiful thing to do."

3. Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen Will Join Forces
In another batch of set pictures, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen meet for the first time. This is especially crazy when you consider the fact that they're actually related! Plus, if they make some sort of alliance, it would mean the Iron Islands, the Unsullied, the Dothraki, and the North have all come together to form one massive army. Throw in the Knights of Vail and the Wildlings too, since they both played such pivotal roles in the Battle of the Bastards! All we're saying is, the Lannisters should be worried.
4. Theon Greyjoy Will Be in Grave Danger
Last year, an influx of telling set pictures showed Theon getting beat up. His assailant appears to be his Uncle Euron, which would have grave consequences in the context of the Iron Islands. But even if it's not Euron, Theon could still be seriously injured, maybe even dead.
5. Arya Will Do a Lot More Murdering
Arya may have exacted her revenge on Walder Frey at the end of season six, but there are still a few names left on her kill list. In the wake of that shocking season six finale, Cersei has officially lost all three of her children. Cocreator D.B. Weiss explained in a recent interview how this might affect Cersei going forward. While Cersei has certainly done a lot of horrible things in her life and she could be a very cruel person, the one thing that was redemptive about her was that she genuinely loved her children. Now they're all gone, and I think that is very interesting for us. Who is she without her children? The answer is something you'll find out next season." If you subscribe to the theory that Cersei will become the Mad Queen, it all lines up.
7. Jon Snow Will Likely Learn the Truth About His Parents
In season six, Bran discovered the truth about Jon Snow's parents. Seeing as they're both in the North, it's reasonable to assume Bran will track Jon down and tell him the truth. And even if he doesn't, there's always the chance that Jon Snow will find out on his own. This could cause a huge ripple in the landscape, and it could lead to a shocking realization: that Jon Snow is destined to take the Iron Throne for himself.

The Important Warning About Leaving Babies Unattended Every Parent Needs to Hear
A baby tragically died after being left alone on a changing table, but not because she fell off - Laci Lynn Taylor's 3-month-old baby passed away after suffocating on the table while unattended.
According to Des Moines, IA, police, the infant rolled over, compressed her neck on the ledge of the changing table, and could no longer breathe. Authorities have since charged Laci with child endangerment resulting in death.
Although court documents show that Laci was aware that the infant could roll over, her husband, Don Taylor, said that the child's compromised airway was a "horrible freak accident" that could happen to any parent. "I have no ounce in my body that blames my wife at all. She was actually getting my daughter a bottle, and that's what happened, and that's why she wasn't in the room at that point," Don said. "They can say whatever they want, but it was an accident."
Despite her husband's feelings, the mother-of-two has officially been charged with child endangerment resulting in death following a four-month investigation. Des Moines police Sergeant Paul Parizek commented, "The fact that she left the child alone for an extended period of time is what makes it criminal."
