Don't Worry, Guys - Prince William Totally Winged His Proposal Too

Prince William and Kate Middleton have been together for almost 14 years now (despite that one little breakup), and we have been loving all of the memories they've made in their time together so far. We've seen a wedding, two beautiful children, numerous trips around the world, and adorable PDA. But while so many wonderful things have happened for the couple since they tied the knot in April 2011, everyone always loves to relive a good proposal story. So how exactly did William pop the question? During the pair's vacation in Kenya in October 2010, the prince asked Kate to marry him in their secluded log cabin, where he presented her with a 12-carat oval blue Ceylon sapphire ring, the same one worn by his late mother, Princess Diana.

The beautiful location was also extra special, as it holds a dear place in William's heart. He opened up about why he chose to do it in Africa during an interview with CNN, explaining, "I regularly daydream. Africa is definitely one of the places I go to. It does completely settle me down. [Kate] understands what it means to me being in Africa, and my love of conservation." But while it all came together perfectly, William also admitted that he sort of winged the whole thing. "I didn't really plan it that far in advance," he continued. "I just knew I wanted it to feel comfortable where I did it and I wanted it to mean something, other than just the act of getting engaged." And it turns out that Kate didn't see it coming either. "We were out there with friends, so I really didn't expect it at all," she told Britain's ITV News. "It was a total shock when it came. Very excited!"

6 Tips For Potty Training Boys

Although many potty-training tips apply to boys and girls alike, potty training boys does pose some unique challenges. Whether you're wondering when to start potty training boys, whether to teach sitting or standing first, and how to encourage good aim, readers have offered great toilet-training tips to help you potty train boys with confidence.

1. Be Patient

As eager as you may be to ditch the diapers, many moms stress the importance of delaying toilet training until your son is ready. Amanda G. shares, "There really is no right age. Just keep your eyes open for signs of readiness." Jessica D. agrees: "My little boy is a little over 3-and-a-half, and he just now decided he wanted to potty train. . . . He will do it when he is ready; just be patient and give lots of encouragement." Common signs of potty-training readiness (which generally appear between age 2 and 3) include asking questions about the bathroom and toilet, staying dry for longer periods of time (indicating stronger bladder control), wanting to wear "big kid" underwear, or telling you when he's soiled a diaper.

2. Try Sitting First

"Start out by sitting, and then move to standing," advises Michelle L., one of many moms who recommend first teaching boys to urinate while sitting before graduating to standing lessons. In addition to simplifying the learning process, Melissa V. shares that starting with sitting can minimize messes: "There are little toilet seats that fit onto the regular toilet seat. It makes it smaller so he won't fall in, and there's a little cup on the front so he can't miss the toilet." Tarsha D. adds that sitting may also be the most practical option based on the height of your little one. "I'm a mom of four boys, and I taught all of mine to sit first (especially my second son; he was so short he coudn't even reach the toilet bowl)."

3. Let Him Watch Dad

The standing element is an obvious challenge for potty training boys. When your son is ready to learn to pee standing up, several readers, including Alicia O., recommend having an older male relative set an example. "Let him follow daddy around or older siblings; seeing other boys like him use the toilet might motivate his interest."

4. Give Him a Target

In addition to having another male demonstrate, one trick many moms share is to toss circle-shaped cereal into the toilet and have your son take aim. "We put Cheerios and Froot Loops in and let them target-practice. This was fun for them, not to mention a great way to teach a boy how not to pee on the seat or rim," says Jennifer A. Other moms, like Katie S., a mother of two children in England, suggested using a ping-pong ball for the target (don't worry, it won't flush away).

5. Take It Outside

With five sons, Lisa B. definitely speaks from experience when she suggests incorporating outdoor time into potty training boys. "I think potty training boys is easiest when done in the warmer months of Spring and Summer. Pick a tree in the backyard and have fun! They learn quite quickly."

6. Motivate Your Child

Continual motivation and reminders are very important for potty training boys, as active toddler boys may not want to stop what they're doing in order to use the toilet or stay on the toilet long enough to relax and go. Tips from readers for motivating boys include buying "big-kid" underwear that he'll want to keep clean, having special toys and books for potty time, and offering plenty of praise and prizes. "[We] made a chart with stickers so whenever he would use the potty we would let him put the sticker on the chart, and at the end of the week, if he had 10 stars we would take him to the store and buy him a little toy. It didn't take long to have him completely potty trained," says Cassie J. "Try using temporary tattoos! That's how I got mine to like going to bathroom. Then when [he] saw the tattoo, it reminded him and he was proud to show them off!" offers Carol G.

6 Guilt-Free Times You Should Take a Rest Day

To work out or not to work out … sometimes that's a legitimate question you have to ask yourself.

Much of the time the answer lingers somewhere in the gray area but with experience you get better at figuring out what the right answer is for you. However, there are circumstances when you absolutely should prioritize rest over a workout.

While I fully endorse consistent badassery as a means to reach your goals, here's a breakdown of a few times when less is definitely more.

I'm not sure if this is a cold or if I've contracted the plague. With colds, I generally follow the "above-your-neck rule" - if your symptoms are all above your neck (runny nose or sneezing), you should be fine to do low- to moderate-intensity exercise, but if any of your symptoms are below your neck (chest congestion, fever, etc.), rest. Higher intensity workouts have been shown to negatively impact immune system functioning, which could mean that you're sick for longer. Also, no one else wants your cold, so maybe skip spreading your germs by showing up for a group class or touching all the gym equipment.

I'm so tired I can't even. It may seem noble to drag yourself out of bed every morning to go to your workouts but sometimes it's counter-productive. Whether your exhaustion is due to work, home stuff or overtraining, dragging yourself through workouts is a recipe for disaster and places your already stressed-out body under more stress and that's just mean. Chronic fatigue can be an important signal that something's wrong - either with your health or your schedule. Light movement can be helpful in getting your energy levels up, but skip the high-intensity stuff … your body will thank you. Not wanting to get out of bed because it's so cozy under your blanket that you don't want to move is an excuse; not wanting to move because you can't physically pry your eyes open is a completely different thing.

Lunch? Ain't nobody got time for that. Look, stuff happens. We all have those times when lunch hour is a luxury we just don't have. Maybe you've been running all over, barely eating or drinking for the better part of the day. You're not doing yourself any favors by taking a starving, depleted and dehydrated body to a workout. Instead, use the time to replenish so you can get back to your workouts tomorrow. The same applies for times when you've had a stomach thing that prevents you from being able to eat properly and stay adequately hydrated - even after the nausea and squirrelly stomach go away, your essential organs (heart and lungs) need calories, nutrients and water to operate efficiently. Cut the intensity of your workouts way back for a while to allow your body to catch up.

I've got this "knee (or other body part) thing" happening. If you've got an injured or tweaky body part, it's time to rest it. There is nothing to be gained from pushing your injured parts through yet another workout. They aren't going to suddenly and spontaneously heal because you insisted that they keep going when they don't want to. Take a few workouts off (or do something that doesn't require that part of your body to work for a while) so that you don't have to be out of commission for weeks later on. My general rule of thumb is that if three days of rest doesn't make it feel better then it's time to see a doctor.

I've been totally killing it in the gym lately. In order to maintain higher intensity during your workouts, you need to rest so that your body can rally for the next workout without breaking down. If you've been following a progressive program, increasing your training volume or smashing PRs in the gym, it's important to cut back every few weeks to give your body a chance to catch up and adapt to the work. Without a lighter week in there every once in a while, the risk is that you'll eventually out-train your body's ability to self-heal - which can lead to frustrating plateaus, burnout and overuse injuries.

Ouchie, my everything hurts. It's totally normal to experience some delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) a day or two after a tough workout. But if you can't move your joints through their full range of motion smoothly and without pain, skip it. Doing otherwise can cause you to compromise form which wreaks havoc on your joints, ligaments and tendons. Use the time to let your body repair and rebuild so it gets stronger rather than breaking down - risking longer stretches of time off due to an injury.

Remember That Time Thalia and Becky G Owned the Premio Lo Nuestro?

When the queen and princess of Latin pop join forces for a song, you get excited. When they perform together at one of the biggest music award shows, you totally lose your cool. That's exactly what happened to us two years ago when Thalia and Becky G took the stage at the 2015 Premio Lo Nuestro with their catchy song "Como Tú No Hay Dos."

In metallic leotards and dresses, the two stars sang and danced to choreography that included sexy dance moves and lots of hair flipping. It was a moment we will never forget, and we're looking back at it in honor of Thalia's performance at the 2017 Premio Lo Nuestro on Thursday, Feb. 23, at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami.

Around the same time, news that Tyler Hoechlin would play Boyce Fox surfaced. What Our Kids Need to Learn From Trump Now That He's President

For roughly half of the nation, the morning after Election Day wasn't the what they'd envisioned for themselves or their families. But for parents, there's an obligation today, for the weeks to come, and for the next four years, to talk to their children about what lies ahead.

How do you begin? We spoke with Dr. Stephanie O'Leary, a clinical psychologist who specializes in families, about how to introduce your young kids to President-elect Donald Trump.

"Regardless of which box you checked on Election Day, facing the reality of a Trump presidency means taking a firm stance on respect," she tells POPSUGAR. "It will be more important than ever to step into the spotlight and demonstrate respectful behavior."

She urges parents, particularly those feeling defeated by a Trump victory, to choose respectful words and a dignified tone when sharing their thoughts. "Then, if and when your child hears disrespectful commentary, it will register as feeling wrong," she says. "It will feel inappropriate, and at the end of the day, that's exactly what you want as a parent."

It's unclear if Trump will depart from his unfiltered communication style when he takes office in January, so O'Leary looked back at Trump's heated campaign to deliver a handful of lessons impressionable children can actually learn from it.

1. It's not just what you say, but how you say it that matters.

Throughout this presidential race, Trump has come under fire for acting in an unpresidential manner. Meanwhile, parents try to send the message to their children that they'll get more of what they want if they speak respectfully (for example, "Ask nicely," and "What's the magic word?"). O'Leary's advice is to "point out to your child that even good ideas may be overlooked if they're delivered aggressively." She adds: "Remind kids that name-calling is never OK and that the best way to be heard is to listen first, then share your thoughts without being on the attack."

2. You're responsible for actions . . . even if you think no one is watching.

Both Trump and Hillary Clinton saw backlash for private exchanges made public. "You're responsible for your words no matter what, so choose them carefully," advises O'Leary on what parents should tell their kids. "This is critical in today's world of technology where texts written to one person can be shared at will and smartphones can record virtually anything, often without bystanders knowing. Saying, 'I didn't know you were going to hear that,' is not going to get you off the hook, so encourage your child not to say things they can't stand behind."

3. "I'm sorry" isn't a magic eraser.

Trump and Clinton have both had issues to own up to, but even when apologies have been made, kids are smart enough to recognize that those words don't necessarily wipe the slate clean. What we've seen in this campaign is that simply apologizing is not enough. "It takes far more effort to recover from an error than it does to make one," O'Leary says. "Remind your child that the only way to truly regain trust is to accept responsibility and change your behavior moving forward. Discussing this concept will teach your child to value their credibility and help guide their future decisions."

4. You can't make everyone happy all of the time.

At one point during election night result-tallying, O'Leary's own daughter asked her, "why are so many people against Hillary Clinton?" She used the question as an opportunity to talk about the unavoidable risks of taking a stand for things you believe in. "Say what you want about Trump and Clinton, they both have strong opinions and they're not afraid to share them," O'Leary adds. "It's important for kids to know that being brave enough to voice your ideas publicly means you will likely have to tolerate judgment and criticism from those who don't agree with you."

5. Just be honest!

Your child can learn a lot about what not to do by observing how Trump talked in circles and dodged questions during the debates. "Teach your kids the value of being direct, even if their answer is, 'I don't know,' or 'I'm not comfortable answering that question,'" O'Leary says.

6. We're all on the same team.

Everyone is sad when they lose, but following Trump's "let's work together" victory speech, the call to unify was a sentiment echoed today by Clinton in her concession speech and by President Barack Obama in his address to the nation. O'Leary agrees that, win or lose, we must all stay encouraged in the same way that we remind our kids to brush themselves off and keep trying when they lose a soccer game or perform poorly on a school test. And in the end, it's vital, O'Leary says, for parents to remember their position over the next four years: "You are your child's most important role model . . . you have a tremendous impact on them regardless of who lives in the White House."

6 Things Every Set of Twins Can Relate To

Being a twin is something I've always been proud of. For as long as I can remember, it's been the two of us against the world and I'm fortunate that as we've grown older, our unbelievably close relationship has turned into a friendship of epic proportions. I do wonder every now and then how different my life would be if I had a younger sibling to look out for or an older sibling to look up to, but I wouldn't change a thing because my sister, Nicole, is my person. No matter the combination (two girls, two boys, a boy and a girl), every set of twins can identify with these six things:

  1. Learning to share very early on. I'm not just talking about materialistic things like toys and clothes. As a twin, my life as a whole has been shared from day one. From birthday parties to my Bat Mitzvah to my bedroom (yes, we had a short stint with a bunk bed), being a twin has taught me the true meaning of "sharing is caring."
  2. Answering the same questions over and over. "Are you identical or fraternal?" That's generally the first of many questions you're asked after revealing you're a twin. Another common inquiry is if we share the same group of friends. I've always found this to be somewhat of a strange question, only because I can't imagine having two separate social lives. Many sets of twins do branch off into their own crews, we just weren't one of them. Don't get me wrong, we each have had friends over the years that never overlapped, but our closest friends are shared (see above).
  3. Icebreakers are a breeze. Having to announce a "fun fact" about yourself in a room full of people may be intimidating to the average person, but for twins it's quite the opposite. I shouldn't generalize, but I personally am always excited to share the news. I never have to think twice about what to say or worry that it isn't compelling enough. Overall, it's a pretty convenient anecdote to have in my back pocket.
  4. Keeping a picture of your twin on file. Once people find out you're a twin, they always want to see a photo for comparison. We were never one of those sets of twins who could switch places and fool everyone around us. People who know us can differentiate with ease, but we have gotten some perplexed faces from acquaintances and distant family members who only met us as babies.
  5. The conscious effort to set yourself apart. Although it's truly awesome to be a twin, I've also found it important to foster my own individuality. My sister and I have innately different personalities, so this was never a huge challenge. Whether it was participating in different Summer activities when growing up or deciding to attend different colleges, we've made many decisions as individuals instead of as a unit.
  6. Having a built-in best friend. Imagine growing up having your closest pal right down the hall every night. Imagine having one person who's going through exactly what you're going through at every stage of your life. That's what it's like to be a twin. Having a twin is like having a constant soundboard to bounce ideas and questions off of. My twin is my first and unwavering source of advice, because she understands me to an extent no one else does.

So if you've ever wondered what it's like to be a twin, yes - it's freaking awesome. Being a twin has taught me so much about life and it's become a part of my identity. So thanks, Mom and Dad, for giving me the best partner in crime a girl could ask for.

In her initial letter, Chloe spoke about her love of technology, computers, and robots before asking about Google's job listings. In his response, Sundar wrote, "I'm glad that you like computers and robots, and hope that you will continue to learn about technology. I think if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to - from working at Google to swimming in the Olympics." Read the letter in its entirety, below.

Chloe's father later proudly shared the letter on Twitter and thanked Sundar. The tweet currently has more than 600 retweets and nearly 1,000 "likes."

Watch Angelina Jolie Cook and Eat Spiders and Scorpions With Her Kids

Angelina Jolie has been an open book during her recent trip to Cambodia. The By the Sea actress flew to the country with her six children - Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8 - to promote her new film, First They Killed My Father. While spending time with BBC World News journalist Yalda Hakim, Angelina opened up about how she's coping since her split from Brad Pitt, calling the time "difficult" but insisting they will "forever be a family." She also had some lighter moments when she cooked and ate tarantulas and scorpions with her kids, giving people a lovely glimpse into their everyday banter. Knox's reaction? "[It tastes like] dry chips. Yeah, like, flavorless chips." Watch the whole exotic dining experience above (if you can stomach it).

How to Detox Your Skin Like a Pro

If you're experiencing any of these issues, it might be time to take a few steps toward seriously detoxifying your skin. We consulted with pros to learn the best - and most affordable - ways to purify your complexion so you'll always look healthy and radiant. Read on!

If You've Dealt With Setbacks Trying to Lose Weight, Chrissy Metz Has an Important Message For You

Chrissy Metz has been anything but shy about her weight-loss journey, and now she's opening up about how her struggle on This Is Us has motivated her in her real life. Chrissy was recently stopped by a TMZ reporter where she was asked about her character Kate's "failure" to lose weight, and she responded with some motivational advice for anyone who's had setbacks while trying to shed pounds.

"I don't think that she's [Kate's] failed at losing weight," Chrissy said. "I just think that she has to make it more of a concerted effort and that's what she's trying to do."

Her struggle on the hit show has been well documented, most recently at weight-loss immersion camp, but Chrissy's message to the viewers and anyone trying to lose weight is important: not shedding pounds does not mean you've failed, it's all part of the journey.

She said that her character's storyline is not meant to discourage anyone trying to lose weight, in fact, it's the opposite. "I think it inspires people because we're all on different journeys and we all progress differently," Chrissy said. "So, when we're all in it together, it's a little more inspiring in that way."

While we're still waiting to see season two of American Crime Story, Ryan Murphy is busy at work casting the third season. As previously announced, the third installment will focus on the death of fashion icon Gianni Versace. The designer was shot dead on the steps on his Florida mansion in 1997, the fifth and final victim of spree killer Andrew Cunanan.

It was rumored that Lady Gaga would be playing Donatella Versace, but sadly that proved not to be true. However, we do now have two confirmed actors in the lead roles. Take a look at them next to the real people.

You Won't Believe This Collection Comes From Burberry

By this point, we thought we knew what to expect from a Burberry show. Wearable shapes, timeless coats, and English heritage classicism. After all, this is a brand that just celebrated 160 years of history. Oh, how wrong we were. On Monday night, Christopher Bailey delivered a collection that seemed to take the label in a whole new direction; one that was more experimental, edgy, and contemporary.

The Burberry DNA was still there, in trench coats, leather bags, and seemingly classic shapes like collared shirts and cable knits. But each came with a twist; knits were asymmetrical, shirts had extra-long sleeves, coats had extra panels and rolled cuffs, bags were tiny and cylindrical. With a colour palette that barely deviated from black, white, and beige, Bailey ushered in a new era for the brand.

Last season's Elizabethan influences were touched on again at this show, in leg-o-mutton sleeves, ruffled collars, and capelets in hand-looped rope (perhaps not the most wearable creations but definitely some of the most striking). There was also a nautical feel to the twisted rope trims and breton stripe knits. But it was art that played the biggest part in the show, from the Henry Moore sculptures that lined the show space, to the recreations painted on cotton shirt dresses, and the the swirled piping on casual sweaters.

Though established Burberry fan may struggle to come to terms with this new direction, it will do wonders to introduce the label to a new audience. And if you look at the key pieces in seclusion, away from the experimental runway styling and the couture capes that closed the show, you are left with plenty of wearable pieces for the modern wardrobe: loose artists' shirts, chunky knits, chic capes, statement coats, and lacy dresses. All of which can be shopped right now.

Just Hours Old, 1 Newborn Helped Pull Off the Ultimate Surprise For His Mom

After Susan Medina and Darick Mead welcomed their first child, the new mom had no idea that there was about to be another reason to celebrate.

At just hours old, Darick enlisted his newborn's help in pulling off the ultimate surprise proposal, which left the new mom stunned. The Nebraska couple has been together for two years and Darick always teased Susan that he didn't want to get married for 40 years.

However, this new dad had a much sooner date in mind and worked with hospital staff to make their newborn's birth even more memorable. A month before Ryder's birth, Darick bought an engagement ring and let the hospital in on his idea. Shortly after Susan's C-section, nurses came in to "check on" Ryder but were actually slipping him into a personalized onesie that said, "Mommy, will you marry my Daddy?"

When they brought the baby back over, Darick was waiting by her bedside with a cushion-cut engagement ring. "I didn't expect that at all. I thought I was going to be changing the baby's diaper, looked up, and everyone had their phones out, so I was confused," Susan told POPSUGAR. "But I was super, super happy!"

This Haunting Cover of "The Scientist" Is 1 of the Best Parts of Fifty Shades Darker

Even if you don't care about Fifty Shades Darker, you have to admit that the soundtrack is fantastic. There's Zayn and Taylor Swift's collaboration, Halsey's "Not Afraid Anymore," and this gem of a cover from Corinne Bailey Rae. The singer puts her own spin on Coldplay's 2002 hit, and it's a gorgeous version of a song that, to be honest, we already loved. Check it out!

My Husband Dressed Me For a Week, and It Changed the Way I Dress Myself

As a woman admittedly preoccupied with fashion for as long as I can remember, surrendering a week of outfits to my husband's whims for a styling experiment sounded like torture. Let me preface this by saying that my husband, Thomas, is pretty stylish. He grew up with a fashion-savvy mother and two sisters, so he really does get fashion, or at the very least, has been exposed to great style for much of his life. Add to that that we've been together for 11 years, so he knows me and my taste.

Still, like most men he has some strong feelings about what he thinks I should be wearing and most of the time it skews a whole lot sexier than I'm comfortable with. I assumed inappropriately tight silhouettes and revealing necklines would feature prominently in the week to come, and I immediately resolved to wear a sign at the office with the disclaimer: "My husband dressed me today." Read on to see how the week evolved with my husband playing stylist.

Why Lin-Manuel Miranda Will Be Making History If He Wins an Oscar

On Jan. 24, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced this year's highly anticipated nominations. Among the nominees was Lin-Manuel Miranda, who scored the nod in the best original song category for his song "How Far I'll Go" from Disney's Moana.

The Hamilton creator collaborated with fellow songwriters Opetaia Foa'i and Mark Mancina for the Moana soundtrack, which includes songs both in English and Tokelauan, a Polynesian language. The song that's up for a nomination was performed by Auli'i Cravalho, who voiced the movie's title character, in addition to Alessia Cara, who sang a version that plays during the end credits.

If Lin-Manuel wins the Oscar on Feb. 26, he will officially become an esteemed EGOT winner. Let's break it down: he has an Emmy Award for outstanding original music and lyrics for his opening performance at the 67th Tony Awards, three Tony Awards for Hamilton and In the Heights, and two Grammy Awards for the respective Hamilton and In the Heights studio albums.

Not only would the win grant him EGOT status, but it would also make the 37-year-old multihyphenate the youngest person to receive the honor. (Robert Lopez currently holds that title after he won an Oscar for Frozen in 2014 when he was 39.) Not only that, but Lin-Manuel would be the fastest person to do it! He won his first Tony Award in 2008, so that means he would have achieved his big EGOT win in just nine years.

Following the big announcement, Lin-Manuel took to Twitter to share his thoughts. While his first tweet just included a stunned emoji, he later responded to radio personality Lin Brehmer, who pointed out that Lin-Manuel would technically reach GEMPOT status since he is also a Pulitzer Prize and MacArthur Genius Grant winner.

While it would be so exciting to see Lin-Manuel make history, he's in a tough category that also includes two songs from the wildly popular La La Land. We'll all have to just tune in on Feb. 26.

Solve the Brain-Teaser That Is Driving People on Facebook Insane

Hmm... Can you solve this? I honestly have NO clue! I hope you guys can tell me 󾌻☆ SHARE and see if your friends Can! ☆FOLLOW ME! ☺☺☺

Posted by Lisa Woelke on Friday, January 29, 2016

Facebook user Lisa Woelke shared a brain-teaser that has been driving the Internet nuts. The post - which has been shared by more than 170,000 users - depicts a math equation with fruit items in lieu of numbers. For example, it can be deduced from the first line that one apple is equivalent to the number 10. Harmless enough, right? Wrong.

The most common answer for the remaining final line was 16 - and you shouldn't be discouraged if that's the answer you arrived at . . . it just isn't the correct one. The final answer is actually 14. You might be asking yourself, "What the what?" as you ponder the degeneration of your math skills, but it's OK. We can work through this together.

So yes, one apple equals 10, one banana bunch equals four, and the coconuts equal two. However, the final line alters the coconuts and bananas so that they are each missing one, respectively. In the case of the last line, there is only one coconut - equaling one - and three bananas in the bunch, which equal three. So one apple (10) plus one coconut (one) and three bananas (three) equal 14. Voilà!

This Photo Tribute to Famous Afro Latinas Is So Powerful

Puerto Rican photographer Linda Nieves-Powell is celebrating six powerful Afro Latinas in a new series for her project "Latina Icons," and saying the pictures are too damn stunning is an understatement.

"I had been thinking for some time about creating a photography project to feature Latinas and by chance I came across an old photo of Rita Moreno on the cover of Life magazine on my Facebook timeline. That picture sparked the idea to create a tribute to trailblazers," Linda told POPSUGAR over email. "The first series I worked on was a tribute to Selena, Carmen Miranda, Frida Kahlo, Rita Moreno, Iris Chacón and Maria Montez. It was a beautiful re-creation and the response was phenomenal. Latinas do love to see themselves in this way."

For Black History Month, Linda decided to dedicate an entire section of her project to Afro Latinas. "In my research, I noticed that Afro Latina musicians, at least the ones that I had found, possessed an incredible sense of style and seemed to revel in their individuality - Celia's blue wigs, La Lupe's makeup and eyebrows," Linda said of finding the subjects for her second photo series, which also include Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, La India, Amara La Negra, and Esperanza Spalding.

So why is this Afro Latina series so special? It's all about representation. "As a child, growing up in a predominately white neighborhood, I was bullied for looking different. I had thick black curly hair, an olive complexion, and thick thighs," says Linda. "When I had the opportunity to see photos of women who resembled me, it validated me." Scroll ahead to see Linda's amazing work.

Sorry, Guys, but Evan Rachel Wood Doesn't Go For Dresses on the Red Carpet

Evan Rachel Wood is a pantsuits type of lady. So far, the star has popped up at every award show this year wearing sophisticated suit sets, ditching the notion that ladies have to wear poufy, princess-like gowns on the red carpet. Though there is nothing wrong with the latter (Evan even said so herself), the actress's current mission is to show there's more to dressing than just floor-sweeping dresses.

"Just be yourself," Evan said on the Golden Globes red carpet.

The star revealed that she once felt pressured to dress a certain way, but now that's no more. In fact, the star's been rocking pantsuits since 2015. By wearing a more androgynous look, the actress proves women can still be sexy, edgy, and beautiful without dressing in accordance with prescribed gender norms. And with fashion houses like Altuzarra dressing her, you know Evan will own the red carpet every time. Read on to see the star's pantsuit collection, which we feel would rival Hillary Clinton's, then watch for more of Evan's coolest pantsuit moments this season.

Christopher Kane Isn't Done With Crocs Just Yet

If you weren't a fan of Christopher Kane's controversial Croc collaboration last season, look away now. The Scottish designer is back with an Autumn twist: an added fur trim. But that's not all we were treated to at his London Fashion Week show on Monday. As the likes of Katy Perry, Derek Blasberg, and Alexa Chung took a pew, Kane served a collection of deconstructed dresses, iridescence, and oversized sequins. With his signature flair, the designer made florals oh-so groundbreaking by embellishing oversized flowers across gowns and using ornate floral prints on origami style dresses, adding new structure to an otherwise tame ensemble. He truly has flower power.

For those who are still struggling to get on board with the Croc trend (we have to admit, he's swaying us), accessories featured otherworldly buckle bags and trainers, which had just been launched into outerspace prior, and tied in perfectly with UFO prints. If you're planning a trip to the moon, then this is the wardrobe you should take.
