See All the Oscars Glamour in Black and White

Between the gorgeous red carpet gowns, poignant speeches, and audience mingling, the Academy Awards delivered on the celebrity moments we wanted to see. While we can't exactly say that the ceremony went off without a hitch, there was plenty of glamour to behold - and the best way to see it is in black and white.

We Tried Starbucks's 2 New Spring Macchiatos - and 1 Will Be Your New Favorite

Starting Feb. 28, Starbucks will have two brand-new macchiatos on the menu, and the best part is that they aren't limited edition. Once you know how each one is made, you can order them to your heart's content. Each of the macchiatos, as with all of Starbucks's macchiatos, can be ordered hot or iced, but these new ones are being featured one each, hot and iced, to show off the flavors in the drinks.

The first is the Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato. This hot drink starts with coconut milk and a white chocolate mocha sauce that then has espresso poured over it. It's topped with a caramel drizzle and a swirl of mocha sauce. The coconut milk in this drink provides a richness that you don't normally get from a macchiato made with dairy milk. While the caramel and mocha sauces provide sweetness to balance out the strong espresso, it's not overly sweet. This drink may be new for Spring, but I think it'd be perfect for a chilly day.

The second new macchiato is the Iced Cinnamon Almondmilk Macchiato, which may be my new favorite Starbucks drink. As with all macchiatos, it starts with the milk, and for this one it's Starbucks's Almondmilk. Add to that a kick of the sweet cinnamon dolce syrup, the signature espresso, the caramel drizzle, and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top and you've got a refreshing iced drink that is so full of flavor. The ground cinnamon is the real star of the show in this drink, and the almond milk provides a slight nuttiness to complement the espresso. You really can't go wrong with this order.

1 Connection Between Dumbledore's Army and the Marauders You Probably Missed

Throughout the Harry Potter series, the connections between Harry and his parents are made abundantly clear; Harry and his dad, James, look so similar that they're often mistaken for one another, and Harry picks up his dad's knack for Quidditch naturally. It's frequently mentioned that Harry has his mother Lily's eyes, and his fierce, untiring defense of what's right is also something he inherits from her.

But there are other similarities between the Potters' generation and their son's friend group, many of which are subtle . . . yet when articulated, the connections between the Marauders and Dumbledore's Army are striking. In a now-viral post, Tumblr user cameralinz connects several key characters in the series to older generation counterparts.

This is why I love HP related theories!

In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Sirius tells Harry: "Anyway, I suppose you're the young ones now." The theory reflects this sentiment, suggesting that each of the major characters in Harry's friend group is an opportunity to redeem the losses or failings of the previous generation.

"Anyway, I suppose you're the young ones now."

According to the theory, Neville Longbottom represents what Peter Pettigrew could have been if he'd made better choices. In this same vein, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Luna also act as foils to other members of the Marauders-era Hogwarts class.

But in a more fleshed-out reply to the theory, another Tumblr user challenges the initial character pairings . . . and we're inclined to agree.

Per this alternate reading, Harry and his friend correspond to different Marauders. In a shocking twist that would surely disturb each of them, Neville actually plays foil to his least favorite teacher, Severus Snape. Why? They each struggle to live up to their families' respective legacy before finding their place among a core group of friends and allies in young adulthood. Snape falls in with the wrong crowd, while Neville chooses a better crew of friends.

Similarly, Ron plays foil to a character that he hates: Peter Pettigrew. Overshadowed, jealous, and insecure in his social standing, Ron displays what Peter could have been if he had overcome his insecurities and remained loyal to his friends.

Ron displays what Peter could have been if he had overcome his insecurities and remained loyal to his friends.

Hermione, who found Sirius Black irresponsible albeit charming, acts as his generational foil: they each fiercely love their chosen families, and struggle with politics related to their blood status.

Luna and Remus Lupin are connected through their outsider status, and their knowledge of fringe magical communities. While each are often socially isolated and ridiculed because of who they are, Luna is different than Lupin due to her confidence and self-acceptance. (On another note: they both have names related to the moon!)

The theory goes on to connect Ginny with confident, sometimes-showoffish James Potter, and Harry to his muggle-raised, talented mother, Lily. The characters are undeniable in their similarities, and might even make you feel silly for not having noticed before.

So, do you agree with this assessment of the Marauders and their Dumbledore's Army counterparts? Let us know in the comments whether you buy into this version of J.K. Rowling's magical series!

13 Reasons Your Kid Is a Brat That Are Completely Your Fault

Parenting can feel like an uphill battle, no matter your child's age. Not only is there a lot of pressure, but it also feels like whatever you're doing is constantly being scrutinized by strangers, friends, and family.

If you're involved in your kids' lives, then you hear that you're a helicopter parent and you're raising a fragile child. If you leave your children alone and try to let them work things out on their own, then you're neglectful. It seems as though no matter what there's someone there to tell you that you're doing it wrong.

However, a lot of issues with brattiness are the parents' fault - or at least become the parents' responsibility to fix. Although children might pick up bad behavior by modeling what they see on TV or at school, parents are still to blame if they don't put an end to it or just attribute it to age.

"It's not really fair; it's just kind of the way it is," Elaine Rose Glickman, author of Your Kid's a Brat and It's All Your Fault, told POPSUGAR. "If we don't teach our kids a better way, nobody else is stepping up to do so."

The first step to breaking that bratty behavior is realizing what you're doing to contribute to it. Here, the 13 problematic things that parents of spoiled kids do.

See Every Gown to Hit the Oscars Red Carpet

While Fashion Month isn't officially over yet, the Oscars red carpet is the perfect place to reminisce. After all, so many of the stars wore dresses straight off the runway or experimented with new trends we've only just begun to consider.

There's no better place for bold style or a powerful political statement than the final ceremony of the year, and as you scroll, you'll find all the proof you need: 2017's Academy Awards will be remembered for the icons who made waves all season long.

From Ruth Negga to Naomie Harris, there were plenty of fresh faces we welcomed to the scene, but actresses like Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep reshaped their wardrobes right before our eyes. Put all these gorgeous, talented women together, and they make for a pretty notable crowd, don't you think?

Ryan Gosling's Sister Has Been His Date to More Events Than Eva Mendes

Ryan Gosling may not have taken his long-time girlfriend Eva Mendes to the Oscars this year, but he did bring another lady close to his heart: his sister, Mandi. The duo didn't pose together on the red carpet, but they did appear to have a good time inside the show. While everyone was buzzing about his choice of date, this certainly isn't the first time we've seen the blond beauty. Ryan has taken his big sister to multiple events over the years - he's actually been photographed with Mandi more times than he's been photographed with the mother of his two children. See some of the sibling's cutest appearances together here.

If Adele Ever Wins an Emmy and a Tony, She'll Join a Rare and Impressive Hollywood Club

Winning an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, or a Tony is nice and all, but what if you win all four? Scoring an elusive EGOT is a feat that only 12 people in Hollywood have been able to pull off so far: Audrey Hepburn, Richard Rodgers, Helen Hayes, Rita Moreno, John Gielgud, Jonathan Tunick, Marvin Hamlisch, Mel Brooks, Mike Nichols, Whoopi Goldberg, Robert Lopez, and Scott Rudin. Could Adele be next? Maybe.

There are quite a few people, like Denzel Washington and Kate Winslet, who are close to taking home the so-called "grand slam" of show business, and Adele is one of them. Unless you've been living under a rock since 2009, you know she's made a habit of sweeping the Grammys every year she puts out an album (and sometimes even when she doesn't, in one case). So far she has 15 under her belt, as well as one Oscar for "Skyfall," her song on the James Bond film's soundtrack in 2014. If she can somehow win an Emmy and a Tony, she'll be lucky number 13 on the list.

Now the real question is: how likely is it that she'll be able to win an Emmy and a Tony? Adele hasn't shown any interest in acting so far (unless you count her recent role as "Crazy Woman at Jamba Juice"), but both award shows have categories that where her musical brilliance could shine. For instance, the Creative Arts Emmys has an outstanding original music and lyrics category, and we could totally see her going the route of Elton John one day and scoring a Tony Award-winning musical. Only time will tell, but if Adele has proved anything throughout her career, it's that there's nothing she (and her vocal chords) can't do.

There's 1 Clear Difference in Jennifer Lopez's Style This Year

Jennifer Lopez isn't wasting any time - she's hitting every red carpet and stepping out to run errands in outfits worthy of your attention.

We're only a few days into the year, and she's already giving us plenty to think about. For example, has her style gotten more demure? No, seriously, is this the year J Lo chooses high necklines and classic items like pussy-bow blouses instead of lots of cleavage? Only time will tell, but it looks like so far the singer, actress, and producer is switching things up and keeping us on our toes. Scroll ahead to see her best outfits this year so far.

The Cast of Moonlight Strips Down and Shows Skin For a Calvin Klein Underwear Campaign

Hot on the heels of their big night at the Oscars, the male cast members of Moonlight star in Calvin Klein's new men's underwear campaign. On Monday, the stunning shots were released, featuring best supporting actor winner Mahershala Ali and all three of the actors who portrayed main character Chiron in the drama: Alex R. Hibbert, Ashton Sanders, and Trevante Rhodes. While 12-year-old Alex stays covered up in a black t-shirt, 21-year-old Ashton and 27-year-old Trevante strip down for the cameras and show off their fit physiques in classic CK pieces. Mahershala, for his part, was photographed peeling off a t-shirt (and we are not worthy). Check out the photos ahead now.

Look Back at Brooklyn Beckham's Stylish and Brilliant Burberry Campaign

Brooklyn Beckham might have the modeling chops you expected, given his good looks and the fact that he was raised by stylish designer Victoria Beckham. But while his younger brother Romeo Beckham poses in front of the camera for Burberry, Brooklyn took the brand's Summer 2016 campaign into his own hands - literally.

The 18-year-old played photographer for Burberry Brit's ads, snapping fresh pics of models Ben Rees, Lewis Helim, Todd Dorigo, Eliza Thomas, Liv Mason Pearson, Maddie Demaine, Carvell Conduah, and Harry Pourdjis both on the streets of London and in a skate park. The shoot was documented live on Snapchat, and Brooklyn even shared some black-and-white BTS shots on Instagram.

One look through the stunning reel of photographs ahead, and you can rest assured that Brooklyn's got his own eye for style and quite a knack for capturing it! Read on to see the outcome of the Burberry fragrance campaign, as well as Brooklyn's 'grams from set day.

Do the New Vanilla Cupcake M&M's Taste as Good as They Sound? Let's Discuss

We basically had a meltdown when we learned Vanilla Cupcake M&M's were the latest limited-edition flavor available at Target, so we had high expectations when we got our hands on a purple bag. Would they really taste like a cupcake? And would they be even better than the last stellar flavor, White Cheesecake M&M's? Read ahead to see some firsthand reviews from M&M's enthusiasts in the POPSUGAR office.

  • "They taste like Baskin Robbins frosting!"
  • "Too sweet - yuck."
  • "They really do have a vanilla flavor."
  • "VERY sweet. A little overpowering but good for a frosting craving."

Overall, we have to say we prefer the White Cheesecake flavor, as the cupcake flavoring is a little artificial (but hey, the package warned us of that, didn't it?). While we might not want to snack on a whole bag of these on their own, we have a feeling they would go perfectly as the pastel topping to an actual vanilla frosted cupcake.

The Internet Loves This GE Ad About Treating Female Scientists as Celebrities

While the Oscars aren't as known for their commercials as the Super Bowl is, one ad had the internet in tears. General Electric's ad asked what the world look like if we treated female scientists, such as the late, renowned Millie Dresselhaus, like celebrities? Of course, we'd see their faces everywhere.

The ad shows little girls receiving dolls of Millie, celebrating a Millie Dresselhaus Day, using Millie emoji, and seeing young girls aspire to be scientists. GE reveals that their goal is to have 20,000 women in tech roles by 2020 and showcases some of the women in its company.

The internet was amazed by the ad and absolutely loved it.

Millie Dresselhaus, dubbed the "Queen of Carbon" for her work on carbon properties, died on Feb. 20 at the age of 86. The ad only captures a fraction of the legacy Dresselhaus leaves behind.

Justin Timberlake Danced With Celebs at His Oscars Performance, and It Got Awkward

In one of the most joyous Oscars openings in recent years, Justin Timberlake danced his way around the Dolby Theatre in LA on Sunday night while singing his Oscar-nominated "Can't Stop the Feeling." After breaking it down on stage, the professional photobomber moved to the celebrity-packed audience to get them to join in the fun. Although Nicole Kidman and Halle Berry were happy to show off their moves, there were a few who were a little, shall we say, hesitant (*cough* Ryan Gosling *cough*). Hey, at least he got a kiss out of wife Jessica Biel for his efforts!

How to Get a Taste of the Best New Snacks Before Anyone Else, Straight From an Expert

Source: POPSUGAR Photography / Nicole Perry

Do you ever wonder who spots the craziest new junk foods, like Firework Oreos and Twinkies ice cream, on store shelves before anyone else? Turns out, there's a whole community of junk-food hunters who constantly deliver the buzziest new products to their eager followers, including established Instagram accounts like The Junk Food Aisle.

A few years ago, the Chicago-based blogger became obsessed with the idea of being the first to try the best and biggest new products before the rest of the world caught up. "With each new release it was always, "How can I get my hands on these ASAP? The real inspiration to finally sit down and make my own junk food news site came when I was introduced to the Sweets & Snacks Expo here in Chicago. After some digging I found that a media pass would be my best way in, and from there I really started to figure out what a junk food blog of my own would look like. The result was The Junk Food Aisle."

Oreo addicts that we are, POPSUGAR Food editors reached out to the anonymous person behind the ingenious Instagram account to find out the expert's secrets. Are all those photos real? How does someone manage to find the most head-turning packaged foods before anyone else? Any tips for other like-minded snack aficionados? Discover all that and more, ahead.

Look everywhere - including multiple stores.

If you strike out at one store, that doesn't mean a second store won't have what you're looking for. The key is to look carefully every time you shop, because you never know what you'll find. The Instagram expert says, "At this point, with my page, I can't just stop in a grocery to pick up milk, I first have to take a lap down each aisle and see if any new products catch my eye. It also helps to know that no two stores are the same. Just because one Walmart doesn't have any new Pringles flavors doesn't mean the Walmart two miles away won't."

Don't underestimate the power of a hashtag.

When in doubt, search your favorite brands on social to see if there are any sneak-peek announcements. "Social media and the internet in general are great resources, too - both for finding out what products are coming out and also just in helping to know where to look for certain things. It's just a matter of knowing where to look online, following junk food accounts like mine, and checking product hashtags on Instagram to know what's out there and where."

Keep an eye on the most innovative brands.

With so many new products flooding snack shelves, there's got to be at least one brand standing out from all the rest. In the Junk Food Aisle's opinion, "Hostess has a lot going on right now, between their new snacks like the Chocolate Cake Twinkie and their new ice creams and frozen dessert offerings. They've unloaded a lot of cool new ideas in the past month or two."

Some of the other most popular brands among the Junk Food Aisle's followers are Kit Kat and Reese's. "Tic Tacs do surprisingly well, too," the blogger admits.

But the ultimate leader? Oreo - no surprise there. "Oreo once again is the leader of the pack here in my mind. Swedish Fish Oreos? That's such an outside-the-box idea, and even though a lot of people thought they were gross they certainly got everyone talking. I think it's great they would try something different like that and I hope they continue to. In addition to new flavors, we've also recently seen new products like Oreo Churros, Oreo Eggs, and the candy bars. I'm always excited to see what they come up with next!"

Same, Junk Food Aisle. Same.

Here's the Secret to Raising a Safe, Smart Kid

How to be hands-on without setting too many limits, from our friends at Common Sense Media.

When it comes to parenting frustrations, nothing beats the challenges of setting screen limits, picking appropriate media, and figuring out Snapchat. We're raising "digital natives" but we're supposed to be the experts? Actually, no. It turns out, the most effective way to help your kid have a healthy relationship to media is by being their media mentor.

Many of us think we need to have all the answers. Or we just stick our heads in the sand and hope for the best. But, as so often happens, the middle road is juuuuust right. Researcher Alexandra Samuel surveyed 10,000 North American families and found that some parents put strict limits on what their kids could watch or play ("limiters"), especially when they're young, while others (especially parents of teens) let their kids control screen time and embrace the idea that more tech is good tech ("enablers").

But about a third of the parents -- whom she calls "media mentors" -- consistently engaged in media with their kids, despite their ages, and these kids had better outcomes. Kids of media mentors were less likely to access porn, chat online with a stranger, and impersonate an adult or peer online. Exactly what you're hoping for as a parent, right?

So what does it take to be a "media mentor"? Here are the steps:

Talk about media and tech
Here's where most parents are #winning. In the 2015 Common Sense Census: Media Use by Tweens and Teens, 87 percent of tweens reported that their parents regularly discussed Internet safety. These conversations can include everything from stranger danger to creating strong passwords and should be empowering rather than scary.

Play, watch, learn together
Media mentors play video games, watch movies, and download apps with their kids. They share their favorite YouTube videos and explore new music together. It's not all the time, of course -- who has time for that? -- but staying engaged and showing interest breeds comfort and camaraderie.

Teach new skills
Kids with tech-savvy parents have some advantages when getting up to speed on digital life. They can introduce kids to specialized websites and explain the ins and outs of Instagram. But that doesn't mean the rest of us have nothing to offer. Parents can show kids -- especially young ones -- how to use a mouse, do a Google search, charge a device, and so on. Children's librarians are another tech resource, too.

Follow their interests
You know what your kid is into -- whether it's dinosaurs, Minecraft, or Taylor Swift -- and you can use these interests to support positive engagement with media and tech. Find cool dinosaur apps, sign your kid up for a Minecraft coding camp, or take a digital music-making class together.

Do your research
High-quality content makes a difference in how kids interact with media. Parents who seek out good content by checking reviews, surveying friends, and exploring content themselves expose kids to better stuff.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Were Actually Dating Other People When They First Met

It's hard to imagine a world without Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's love. They're so picture-perfect together and we can't get enough of their sweet family, but they were actually dating other people when they first met. In 2010, the two played love interests in Green Lantern, and although they became fast friends on set, nothing developed romantically at the time as Blake was dating her Gossip Girl costar Penn Badgley and Ryan was married to Scarlett Johansson.

Fast-forward a year later and Blake was single and Ryan had just finalized his divorce. Even though the actress dated a few A-listers in between her breakup with Penn (hello, Leonardo DiCaprio), sparks really flew when she and Ryan went on a double date - with other people! "She was on a date with another guy, and I was on a date with another girl," Ryan recalled. "That was the most awkward date [from their perspective] probably because we were just like fireworks coming across." And the rest is history!

The Vampire Diaries Just Left Things on a Serious Cliffhanger and Fans are Pissed

Well, it's that time folks. The Vampire Diaries has only one episode left before it says goodbye . . . forever. While we certainly have a lot to look forward to next week - including the return of Nina Dobrev as Elena AND Katherine - there is also a lot of heartache in store. On Friday's episode, Stefan and Caroline finally tie the knot, but it's what happens after the ceremony that really left us on the edge of our seats.

After saying their "I dos" without any interruption from the big, bad Katherine Pierce, the happy couple makes their way to the reception where they are joined by their closest friends (and a few dozen compelled Mystic Falls residents). Everything seems to be all roses until Matt Donavan's mom gets up to make a grand speech. Apparently, she has been dead this whole time, and has made a deal with the new devil to raise some hell . . . literally.

During a heart-to-heart with Damon and her son, she reveals that Katherine plans to bring the down entire town by ringing the Maxwell Bell and causing hell on earth. And she's not alone. Since she needs a Maxwell descendant to complete the dirty deed, she got a little help - from Vicki Donovan. That's right. This whole time we thought it had been Katherine prancing around Mystic Falls, it has actually been Matt's dead sister.

As Vicki rings the bell, Bonnie and Stefan finally come face-to-face (after he, you know, had killed the love of her life) and that's when things really go haywire. Even though Bonnie manages to escape a seething fire with her rediscovered magic, her head starts pounding when the mystical bell rings. Suddenly, Bonnie faints and the last image we see is her lying lifeless on the floor, blood dripping down her nose. Is this how Elena wakes up from her sleeping curse? After eight seasons of Bonnie putting everyone else's happiness before her own, we have to admit, we would be PISSED if she's the main character that dies. While her fate seems to be hanging in the balance, one of the promo pictures shows Bonnie and Caroline coming face-to-face, so she may be OK. What are you doing to us Julie Plec?

Trust Us, This Badass Quote Will Be Your New Mantra

Taking care of yourself is easier said than done. So often we put our prescribed roles first, whether that be mother, sister, partner, or friend. We're so busy striving to be the best at each of these things, it's easy to neglect ourselves in the process.

During a recent Adidas women's panel I attended, I was reminded of how important it is to think of your own well-being and to do this often. As Robin Arzon - Adidas ambassador, ultramarathoner, and Peloton instructor - passionately told us, "Self-care is the most selfless act you can do for everyone who encounters your energy. You are going to be a better sister, a better partner, and better co-worker."

As Robin put this thought out to us, it became clear to everyone listening that you can't come close to being great in any role if you forget yourself in the process. Self-care is not an indulgence or something to feel guilty about - it's a necessary action for being and feeling our best. And as women, we shouldn't have to make any apologies for this. Be OK with posting a post-workout selfie. Be unapologetic about wearing your workout gear all the time. And don't feel the need to defend the time you take for yourself at the gym, meal prepping, or meditating.

And in those moments that the guilt creeps in or you find it hard to justify "the luxury" to yourself, remember this mantra that Robin shared with us: "You are the CEO of your body and you should be boss about that sh*t."

It's a thought I've come back to several times since that day and what has pushed me through workouts where I feel like giving up, or worst, where I beat myself up for not being somewhere else. Think of the kind of #girlboss you want for yourself or the kind you would want to be to someone else. Now say to yourself, "I am the CEO of my body and I'm going to be boss about that sh*t."
