Emily Ratajkowski Has Her Eyes Set on 1 Very Specific Item For Spring
Emily Ratajkowski's known for her sexy bikini 'grams, but don't be fooled; her fashion savvy goes beyond swimsuits. We caught up with the actress at an H&M event in NYC, where she was on hand to chat about the brand's first see now, buy now collection.
"It's amazing to see something you like and get it right there," Emily said.
As if to drive home the point, the star was dressed in pieces from H&M Studio's Spring '17 line, which had only debuted hours before in Paris. Wearing a silky, sheer tank and cotton trousers with a ruffled hem, Emily basically sold us on her entire outfit (I immediately purchased the same top). And with only five minutes to chat, I knew she would have plenty to say about style and shopping, so read on for some helpful tips.
Michelle Obama's Dress Will Tell You Exactly Where She's Going
When Michelle Obama's on business, she chooses designs that are tailored. You'll find her accessorizing with a structured leather bag and perhaps a strand of pearls. But when she's headed on vacation, Michelle lets loose. Forget the tidy hairstyle - she's rocking a wide headband and oversize shades. And when it comes to her dresses, they've all got a bit more movement, a bit more color, and a casual touch.
Whether they're made of linen or lace, or extend to the ground like some of her boho-style maxis, Michelle's vacation looks are bold enough to put a smile on your face. What might make you even more ecstatic, however, is shopping similar silhouettes ahead of your next getaway. Though you might not be jetting off to Honolulu on Air Force One with the Obamas, choosing a breezy outfit that's been FLOTUS-approved will always be on point. Scroll to get started.
Gigi Hadid Made History - and Sparked Controversy - With This Vogue Cover
Gigi Hadid just made history as the cover star for Vogue Arabia's first-ever print issue. Starting with this debut issue, the magazine will highlight style and cultural trends pertaining to the Middle East.
For the 23-year-old supermodel, this exciting opportunity is also tied to her own family background, as her father is Palestinian-American. Shortly after the cover was announced, Gigi took to Instagram to share her thoughts. She wrote, "Being half-Palestinian, it means the world to me to be on the first-ever cover(s) of Vogue Arabia." Adding, "I hope that this magazine will show another layer of the fashion industry's desire to continue to accept, celebrate, and incorporate all people and customs."
In a statement, the magazine's editor-in-chief, Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz, spoke about her decision to cast Gigi. "The collage of countries across the Arab world are long-deserving of a place in fashion history and there's no better first 'face' to lead the charge for Vogue Arabia than Gigi - a model who defines tomorrow's entrepreneurial and dynamic generation."
Since news broke, the shoot has stirred up some controversy. For starters, many people felt as though the stylists used the hijab simply to make a fashion statement, even though many women are ostracized for wearing it. Additionally, others felt as though the model has not been outspoken enough about her background and thus didn't deserve to grace the cover of such a historic issue. At press time, Gigi nor Vogue Arabia has addressed the negative feedback.
Look ahead to see pictures from the inaugural issue.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Just Took Her Maternity Style Up a Notch
When Rosie Huntington-Whiteley confirmed she and fiancé Jason Statham are expecting a baby, she did it with style. The supermodel posted a bikini shot taken on the beach by Jason on Instagram. While we can't say we didn't notice her chevron-print triangle bikini, it was hard to miss her growing belly and obvious glow.
Rosie brought that right along with her when she stepped out at the Vanity Fair Oscars bash, flaunting her new figure in a custom Atelier Versace dress that featured a single sleeve and very high slit. From there, she took it to the streets in her new Paige bomber jacket. With Rosie's clear handle on fashion, we can only expect so many more great maternity looks in her future.

Charlize Theron's Oscars Dress Was Considered Too Sexy For TV in Iran
At the 2017 Academy Awards, Charlize Theron presented the category for best foreign language film while wearing a glimmering Dior gown with a deep neckline. Interestingly, the gown originally had a more revealing neckline when it made its debut during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, however, it was altered to look more modest for Charlize's appearance. The Iranian Labour News Agency, however, didn't think it was modest enough.
While airing the big show, producers at the agency decided to alter Charlize's dress using several shoddy techniques. When Charlize first announced the category alongside Shirley MacLaine, the ILNA censored her shoulders and chest using a blurry black drawing. They later covered her entire upper body using the more traditional gray censor box.
What's more, the agency also blurred out a sliver of skin shown by Anousheh Ansari, an engineer who accepted the award on behalf of the category's winner, Asghar Farhadi. She was wearing a gown with an asymmetrical neckline and a shawl.
Review the highly questionable edits in the video below, and see Charlize's dress on the red carpet and its original debut on the runway.

Turns Out, the Queen Is Technically a Binge-Drinker
We've gotten to learn quite a lot about Queen Elizabeth II over the course of her 90 years, but this latest fact is especially fascinating to us. According to Esquire UK, the monarch is a pretty impressive day drinker, so much so that by UK government standards she's technically a binge-drinker (same, to be honest).
She gets started right before lunch, enjoying a gin and Dubonnet (a wine-based liqueur) with lemon and lots of ice, then a glass of wine with her meal. A few hours later, she has a dry martini, followed by a glass of Champagne in the evening (there are eight different Champagne producers at the palace including Bollinger, Krug, Lanson, and Pol Roger, which was also served at William and Kate's wedding).
Now, size-wise, Elizabeth's intake is the equivalent of six drinks per day and 42 drinks per week (assuming she doesn't go crazy on the weekends), though the Queen's government recommends 14 drinks a week as a healthy measure of alcohol consumption. What can she say? She has a monarchy to run.

Alton Brown and Bill Nye Are Joining Forces to Make Your Geekiest Dreams Come True
We're beyond excited for the premiere of Bill Nye Saves the World on Netflix and for one reason in particular: Alton Brown makes a guest appearance.
In the trailer for Bill Nye's new show, out April 21, we get a glimpse of fellow science geeks Alton and Bill up to something in a laboratory setting. As they toss their heads back in cackles of laughter, mysterious liquids in hand, we can only imagine what they're concocting. If this episode is anything like a hybrid between Alton's Eat Your Science tour and Bill's classic performances, we're in for a wild ride.
This news comes on the heels of Alton Brown's announcement that Good Eats is returning, kind of. The Food Network host is bringing back a show similar to Good Eats but called something different and available only online. In a tease to his fans, Alton mentioned his relationship with Bill Nye - once calling him his "hero" - admitting, "I'm not the Bill Nye of food. He is way smarter and has more bow ties than I do."
Me and my hero. http://pic.twitter.com/V9fe1Jm4p0
- Alton Brown (@altonbrown) April 21, 2015
Whether Alton is the Bill Nye of food or not, there's no denying that the reunion between the two is exciting. We're ready for a lesson in nitrogen, crazy chemical reactions, and whatever other educational recipes these two have up their lab-coat sleeves.
Food nerds, unite! Watch the full trailer below.
We Found Your Next, Easy Go-to Uniform on the Valentino Runway
The next time you can't decide on what to wear, look back at Valentino's Fall 2017 collection. Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli created the ultimate go-to uniform: shift dress with patent leather boots. Easy, right?
The designer sent billowy long-sleeve dresses in shades of red, blush, teal, and chartreuse down the runway and every model wore identical beaded, red necklaces. Boots were the shoe of choice, partly concealed underneath the hem of these every-day gowns. It's clear Piccioli has a penchant for romanticism, a quality the fashion house embodies, as almost every garment in the collection featured a high-neck collar and soft, lace details.
Though the dresses were impressively beautiful, the outerwear also shouldn't be missed. Coats with split panels flowed away to reveal silky trousers and patterned dresses underneath. Several of these pieces featured abstract hand prints with mathematical equations. It was a funky design for the fashion house, though the pastel colors stayed true to the collection's aesthetics.
For the girl who loves black, however, do not worry because Piccioli covered his bases by offering a mix of dark sheer and silky gowns (paired with boots of course) that were delightfully delicate.
All of Kim Kardashian's Future Dresses Just Came Down This Runway
The Balmain army always comes in strong. Models marched down the runway in look after look, in a seemingly endless line. For Olivier Rousteing's Fall 2017 collection, he focused on strength, darkness, and power. This was evidenced by the show's soundtrack of heavy rock and the designer's signature colors of black, dark browns, and golds mixed with reds. We heard Olivier loud and clear: the Balmain girl is tough, edgy, and ready to conquer the world. In other words, while the Balmain crew might have shed its armor last season, it's back up for Fall.
We spotted tough leather tops and skirts, animal prints (including his signature snakeskin), wide corset belts, and even shirts with fiery flame designs. There were subtle nods to the wild west, as studs and fringe were the designer's choice for embellishments. Each look was more intense than the last. We even saw some netted and feathered dresses that will no doubt show up in Kim Kardashian's closet or on the red carpet. Read on to see the collection and then you will truly understand why no one messes with the #BalmainArmy.
SJP Just Pulled the Style Move We Always See From Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham's known for wearing her collections before they're shown on the runway. And it appears Sarah Jessica Parker pulled the exact same move. The star test drove her new line of handbags by sporting them all over the city during Fashion Week, and likely no one noticed. That's because the collection, The Seven Essentials, only recently became available to shop via preorder.
The line features seven styles in wearable shades like black and beige with brass hardware, while prices range from $395 to $695. The bags, in a sense, are meant for power women who are always on the go. They match with all your outfits - as evidenced by SJP - and fit the necessities every busy woman needs. Though they're only available on Bloomingdale's website for now, they'll be rolling out to shoppers on Amazon and Zappos, too. Read on to see all the styles and make sure to have your credit card on hand. You have some shopping to do.

It's a simple process, but keep in mind, it may take a while for the request to go through. Here's how it's done in three quick steps.
Amanda's Secret to Losing Over 100 Pounds Wasn't a Diet
Our next Before & After story comes from Amanda Fraijo-Tobin, who blogs about life after losing 130 pounds on her blog Friday Love Song, which is part of our POPSUGAR Select Fitness network. Below, she shares how she lost the weight and how she keeps it off.
Amanda: Before
Growing up, I wasn't severely overweight - sure, I had a pudgy stage, but a lot of people did! My weight wasn't something I thought much about being a kid (as it shouldn't be). My parents had good intentions, like most, but we certainly did not grow up eating very healthy. Snacks, soda, meals prepared without nutritional aspects considered. Soda became a very bad habit for me, especially as I got into my teens and didn't have anyone stopping me from drinking so many.
Fast-forward to high school - like most high school girls, I thought I was fat. Even though, in retrospect, I clearly wasn't. I didn't let it consume my life, though I was a little on the chubby side (so I thought) and I was OK with that. Looking back, I think senior year is when the trouble began for me. Stress, changes in my life, poor eating, and not exercising (hello, gym-class-not-required-after-ninth-grade!) led me to pack on some weight. Again, I already felt like a "fat girl," so I kept going with the mind-set of "This is me - this is who I am." I was married young, had my first child at 20, and of course, packed on more weight. Divorced, remarried, and two more babies later - more weight.
My weight wasn't something I paid attention to. I never weighed myself. The only time anyone took my weight was maybe once or twice a year when I had a doctor's visit - and even then, I didn't think much about it. This is me - this is who I am . . .
Amanda: Before
My husband is a type 2 diabetic. He had already been on tons of medications for several years to control his blood sugar and other problems associated with the disease. He got to the point of having to add insulin injections to his enormous list of meds. His doctor kept urging him to consider weight-loss surgery, telling him that, if he lost some weight, there was a possibility he may be able to stop taking some of his medications. This seemed like a great solution to my husband - I, on the other hand, disagreed. I told him repeatedly, this wasn't the solution. If you don't break bad habits that got you to a certain point, you could not possibly make a real change.
Insert light bulb moment. Pot calling kettle black. Even though it wasn't something I monitored, I was surely at the heaviest point of my life. I was waking up to get my son to school and collapsing on the couch for a nap once he was off. I was having random pains in my foot. I felt gross. I knew I needed to start making changes. I needed to make changes for myself, but also for my husband, for my kids. I needed to be a better example. This wasn't about vanity. This was about life, making a better life for myself and my family.
I knew this wasn't going to be easy. I had packed on the weight over the course of 10 years. I knew it was going to take some time to take it back off. I knew there would be times I would feel like quitting. But from the start, I adopted a "Today I will do what I can" kind of attitude. This went for exercise as well as eating habits. I knew all my bad eating habits were not going to disappear overnight. Slowly but surely, I made mental lists of things I was doing that were awful for my body and thought of ways to change them. Drink more water, read labels of items I was eating, etc. I had been having such severe pains in my heel that some days I could not even walk on it. Some days, I may not get through an entire workout like I wanted to - that's OK. Today I will do what I can.
Amanda: After
I chose not to be vocal about my weight-loss journey from the start. I didn't mention it to friends. My husband and my father were about the only people who knew what I was trying to accomplish. There were many days of whining on my part to my husband about aches and pains from making my body do things it wasn't used to doing. I admit I have no idea for sure what my starting weight was. I have a general idea based on the last time I had been weighed at the doctors - but my journey began about six months, and what I'm guessing, may even be more pounds later. I did not start out with a goal weight in mind. I didn't want one. I wanted to be healthier. Period. Healthy is not pounds on a scale. This is not a short fix; this is a change I will continue to make for the rest of my life.
How Did I Do It?
This is common sense, things we have heard a million times again and again. Change the way you eat. Exercise. Repeat. It's amazing to me when people want to know my "secret." I have no secret. And I find it even funnier when people feel let down by my answer. There is no magic pill. I have not dieted. I have not counted calories. I knew from the start that was not the way I wanted to live my life. This is a lifestyle change. Know that it's going to be challenging, but have faith that you can make the changes you want to.
Amanda: After
About two years later now and around 125 to 135 pounds down, here I am. Still chugging along. Still making it part of my life to make better decisions for my own as well as my family's health. Honestly, I still feel a little silly writing this. I have had people tell me that they think I am an inspiration, which blows my mind. But I am here to tell you: if I can do this, you can do this. All it takes is a true commitment. Am I a superfit person? No, of course not. But every day, I strive to be a little better. I am a real person who did this. I am a mom to three children with a full-time job, a husband, two dogs, and a million other things going on. It takes work. It takes time. But you can do this. Start today, one small change at a time. This is me - this is who I am. Today I will do what I can. Will you?

Fred Armisen Parodies Chef's Table on Portlandia, and It's Seriously Spot On
Leave it to Portlandia to deliver the perfect parody of Chef's Table, one of Netflix's hottest food shows. In the skit, Fred Armisen stars as chef Francis, owner of the trendy restaurant Kūkō. His specialty? Airport-style sushi. Describing how the inspiration struck at a layover in Chicago, the "chef" says, "As [the sushi] fell apart in my hand, I thought, 'Ahhh, what is this city missing?'" And a couple years later, Kūkō, Portland's restaurant specializing in airport sushi, was born. You won't be able to stop giggling at how the actor managed to perfect the look of a hipster chef, complete with an undercut hairstyle and arm tattoos, including a slotted spoon.
"We are proud to serve the most borderline not-sushi sushi in the whole world," the chef says in the video. Complete with the dramatic orchestral music in every Chef's Table episode, the video shows off some of Kūkō's most impressive dishes, like edamame in a styrofoam cup. "I want this to be the unifying sushi that anyone can eat . . . but nobody wants to eat," chef Francis says. You truly have to watch Fred Armisen in all his glory in the skit above, and if you're a true Chef's Table fan, you won't be able to contain your laughter.
15 Photos of Mahershala Ali That Will Make You Question Everything You've Ever Known
When it comes to celebrity crushes, there are the Hemsworth-lovers, the royal worshippers, and the Pratt fanatics. You know who there should be? Mahershala Ali mavens. Mahershala Ali maniacs? Whatever. The bottom line is that the supremely talented actor, who you probably know for his memorable role as Remy Danton in House of Cards, is not only one of Hollywood's biggest up-and-coming stars, but also a total smokeshow. We're going to be seeing a lot of his gorgeous face come award season thanks to his work in Moonlight (which won him an Oscar!), so there's no better time to reacquaint yourself (or get acquainted, period). The 42-year-old is happily married to artist and composer Amatus Sami-Karim, but there's no harm in drooling just a little bit over a few photos of him, right? Right.

His Teacher Asked Him to Finish the Phrase "I Am," But This Boy With Autism's Response Will Move You to Tears
When 10-year-old Benjamin was given a school assignment to write a poem entitled "I Am" - using 18 prewritten prompts such as "I see," "I hear," and "I feel" - he could have written just about anything to fill in those blanks. However, Benjamin has autism, so his poem turned out to be an eye-opening look into what it feels like for him to be different. He wrote how it feels to be "odd" and out of place, to feel "like a boy in outer space." His mom posted the honest and vulnerable poem to the National Autism Association's Facebook page to share with the world what it's like to be a young child with ASD.

18 Selena Gomez Bikinigrams That Prove She's Definitely a 10
If there's one thing we love about Selena Gomez, it's that she's always game to show off her stylish swimsuits. After all, she's hot and she knows it. In fact, when the star called the TJ Show and was asked to rate her hotness on a scale from one to 10, she said, "On a good day, I would say - like a premiere day - I would be a good nine. And then, on my every day, I feel like a six. Gosh, that sounds so bad! I feel like a six or a seven."
But from the look of Selena's sun-kissed bikinigrams, for which she changes her style based on the prints, colors, and cuts of her suit, we'd say she's a definite 10 - even when she's on the beach with no makeup on. It's one of the great mysteries in life: what do our pets get up to when we're away? If you have an active, intelligent dog, chances are he's not just lying around all day. You might even find yourself coming home to piles of shredded paper, chewed shoes, and other signs of mayhem. If you're facing the challenge of a bored or lonely dog, we've got great tips for helping. These simple solutions will keep your dog happy when you can't be home.
A tired dog is a well-behaved dog
It's all about prevention. If your dog is showing signs of pent-up energy while you're away, morning exercise will help. In fact, one of the best things you can do is give your dog a walk before you go. A game of fetch will also help settle her. It's not just about the physical exertion; it's also about giving her some extra stimulation so she doesn't get bored as easily.
Mental workouts count, too! Engaging in a quick, focused training session in the mornings helps calm dogs down. Try working on simple commands and then slowly ramping it up to more advanced tricks.
The power of distractions
Many dogs enjoy the sounds of the TV or of your favorite music. If you're dealing with excessive daytime barking, leaving music on can help mask the outside noises that set off your dog's alarm system. There's even a TV channel just for dogs: the aptly named DogTV plays dog-friendly content all day long.
Additionally, leaving the blinds open onto a yard or interesting view can provide your dog with visual stimulation. However, this can backfire if you live on a busy street and have a territorial pup - he'll likely bark at people passing by.
Break up the day
When possible, popping by your house at some point during the workday gives your dog a break from solitude. Even if it's just for 10 minutes, your dog will appreciate the company, attention, and quick game or activity.
If your schedule makes it difficult to do this, consider booking a trusted pet care provider. You can opt for a full doggy daycare experience, or simply have someone swing by for a drop-in visit. Rover.com offers the nation's largest network of pet sitters and dog walkers - and they're only a tap away on your phone.
Puzzle toys
Puzzle toys are ideal for smart dogs that need plenty of mental stimulation. One of the most popular options is the Kong, which can be stuffed with cheese, peanut butter, or other treats to keep your dog busy. Freezing the Kong increases the difficulty level for advanced pups. You can find a list of more puzzle toy recommendations here; they range from simple to complex for the canine Einsteins of the world.
If you're feeling crafty, DIY puzzle toys are a fun project. Try simply putting kibble into a clean, empty milk jug with a hole on the bottom. Or freeze small dog toys in a bucket of water overnight for a homemade "ice lick" that has the added benefit of keeping your pooch hydrated. Just be sure to put down a tarp or blanket, or otherwise give it to your dog on a surface you don't mind getting wet.
Crates and other secure spaces
For anxious dogs, high-energy dogs, or puppies, crate training can be especially helpful. Once they learn to love their crate, many dogs will relax there during the day, rather than knock over the trash can or pee on your shoes. Crates provide dogs with a special "den" where they feel secure. Put chew toys and treats in there, and you're golden. Not sure how to get started with crate training? Check out these simple tips.
For bigger dogs or dogs who've moved beyond the crate, you can still create a space just for them. This should be a secure area of your home, whether it's the living room, a bedroom, or a section of the kitchen. All it takes are baby gates to construct a "dog zone" of your very own, complete with your dog's bed, food, and water bowls. And again, treats and toys are helpful!
Separation training
It's hard to leave when your dog is crying or whining. If your dog is upset every time you shut the door, there's a solution! You can teach him it'll be OK. It takes some time, but a training routine to help with separation anxiety is effective. Change happens gradually when you're patient and consistent about it.
Here's how it works. Begin by asking your dog to "stay" in one room while you're home together. (It's nice if this room has plenty of treats and toys just for your pup.) Slowly extend the distance and time of your separation until you can leave him alone for 15-plus minutes without incident.
Eventually, your dog will learn to trust that everything will be OK - even when you're not around.
Emma Watson's Jumpsuit Was Plain Black, Until You Spot the Enchanted Rose
Emma Watson has been traveling around to promote her highly anticipated film Beauty and the Beast and her press tour outfits, which she documents in detail on Instagram, are magical. Her latest look, a black Oscar de la Renta jumpsuit, came straight from the Fall '17 collection and featured a tiny symbolic detail: a rosebud pin.
The star made a tiny tweak, however, to the runway look. She changed the position of the gold adornment from the center to the side of her jumpsuit, which still highlighted its beauty from all angles. Beauty and the Beast fans will instantly recognize this subtle nod to the enchanted rose in the movie. At a previous premiere, Emma even braided her hair to mimic the flower from the film. Scroll on for a closer look at the hidden symbolism in Emma's outfit - it was a genius move.
Pizza Hut Makes It Dangerously Easy to Order With Its Pie Top Sneakers
Pizza Hut has made ordering pizza dangerously easy with its newest innovation, Pie Tops. Yes, the punny shoes are actual high-top sneakers that allow you to order pizza by pressing a button with Pizza Hut's logo directly on your shoe. The only catch is the shoes aren't for sale, because availability is limited. Only 64 pairs of the shoe have been created - in correlation with the NCAA tournament - and each one is made from scratch, according to a Pizza Hut spokesperson. Get a glimpse of how the high-tech shoes work in Pizza Hut's video with NBA star Grant Hill, which shows how they're connected to Bluetooth (genius!).
The button connects the actual Pie Tops shoes to your phone and the Pie Tops app, allowing the user to press the button and instantly submit a pizza order. While you might not be able to wear the shoes yourself, Pizza Hut says, "These special-edition shoes are designed as a creative expression of how easy it now is to get a Pizza Hut Pizza," like on its apps, mobile site, or Amazon Alexa. We don't know about you, but we plan on using these magical powers to get a grilled-cheese-stuffed-crust pizza delivered to us as soon as possible.

Warning: Balenciaga's New Couture Gowns Are Heavy Duty
It was a long walk for the models at Balenciaga, who carried their oversize handbags and packed totes across a ginormous room, the floor printed with the brand's name in big block letters. Demna Gvasalia was celebrating Balenciaga's 100th anniversary, and that called for couture gowns only he could dream up: bunched black tulle that looked like a tower of car tires and one strapless bodyconscious number that was simple, save for the tremendous bow affixed to the front, doubling as a hand muffler for the model.
As for the more wearable, everyday items, there were plenty. But it's the way these clothes are worn that make them wonderfully inventive and even a little bit uncomfortable - that has become Demna's signature. Cocoon coats in plaid and fur are buttoned across the body at the tip of the shoulder, so the outfit appears unbalanced and pencil skirts are folded at the waist before they're belted.
This season, plenty of chunky jewels, silk scarves, and floral minis come into play, and ladies are doubling up on mid-size satchels, a new runway trend that's been Demna approved. Finally, his car mat skirts in leather and neoprene will be must-haves. Pair them with a vintage T-shirt, candy-colored tights, and the new Balenciaga material pumps, and that's automatic street style.
J.K. Rowling Said THIS Is Her Favorite Harry Potter Theory
The first Harry Potter book came out almost 20 years ago, but not a day goes by where new theories and plot coincidences don't shock us all (and make us want to reread the entire series). J.K. Rowling keeps up with them too and she recently answered a fan's question about which is her favorite.
@jk_rowling what's you favourite fan theory??
- Abbie Louise (@AbbieLou24601) August 21, 2015
Dumbledore as death. It's a beautiful theory and it fits. https://t.co/QqTQm2QnI0
- J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) August 21, 2015
That mind-blowing revelation comes from Tumblr user harryjxmespotter, who compares Dumbledore to death in "The Tale of the Three Brothers."
If you remember, the tale was about the Peverell brothers, each possessing one of the Deathly Hallows - the elder wand, the invisibility cloak, and the resurrection stone. The long-standing Internet theory is that Harry Potter, Snape, and Voldemort are modern-day representations of the three brothers.
Voldemort is associated with the older brother, who was obsessed with power. Snape is basically the middle brother, who can't let go of his past love, Lily, and dies a sad death still loving her. This leaves Harry to take on the role of the youngest brother, and Harry himself literally possessed the invisibility cloak.
The only piece of the puzzle that makes this theory even more plausible is that Dumbledore himself is death. "He greeted Harry at King's Cross and was the one behind Snape and Voldemort's death," harryjxmespotter wrote. See the entire post below:

This Bride Married a Walking Dead Star in a Wedding Dress Few Would Dare to Wear
Purple isn't a color we come to expect from a wedding dress, which is why our eyes landed on bride Joana Pak who married The Walking Dead's Steven Yeun. As the couple posed for a wedding snapshot, our eyes immediately zoomed in on the soft lavender hue of Joana's strapless gown. In a simple and minimalist move, she chose to forgo accessories and kept her hair pulled back in a loose fishtail braid.
This isn't the first time a bride has ditched the traditional white wedding gown, which is why we wouldn't mind seeing a few more brides slip into more colorful pieces. Though we only have this one snap of Joana's dress, we luckily found five purple dresses for daring brides-to-be. If you're feeling a wedding dress with a little more flair and excitement, shop the picks ahead.

Things Got Awkward When 1 Girl Told Her Teacher Her Dad Has "Lots of Weed" at Home
When Skylar told her teacher that there's "lots of weed at home" and that her dad even grows it, she technically wasn't lying. However, as parents of little kids know, they often say the darnedest things, and even when they are speaking the truth, you can't always take what they say at face value. Although Skylar was correct in her innocent observations about the abundance of green plants at her home, it was her delivery that left her dad and teacher having an awkward conversation.
"Weed is not good for you and we have a lot of it," Skylar said in a video captured by her dad, Dax Holt, as they discussed the incident. Dax shared the video of their chat on Facebook with the perfect caption.
My child's teacher: "So Skylar tells me you guys have a ton of weed at home."
Me: "Umm."
Teacher: "She said you're growing it."
Me:
When Dax asked Skylar if she told the school that they have a lot of weed at their house, she very seriously replied, "Yeah, a lot of it. Weed is not good for you because weed is stuff that is grass, but it's not grass because it's weed."
To clear the air, Dax asked her to explain what she meant and to show the camera. With a simple nod of her head, she headed outside and began pointing out weeds in the garden and all around the lawn. Kids certainly have a knack for putting parents in awkward situations!

The Truth Behind the Chicken From Subway
Update: Subway has responded to the following claims in an email to POPSUGAR. According to the email, Subway has tested its own chicken products in both the US and Canada and found that soy protein in the chicken made up less than 1 percent of the poultry. Subway president and CEO Suzanne Greco reassured customers that the CBC Marketplace findings are incorrect.
"The stunningly flawed test by Marketplace is a tremendous disservice to our customers. The safety, quality and integrity of our food is the foundation of our business. That's why we took extra caution to test and retest the chicken. Our customers can have confidence in our food. The allegation that our chicken is only 50 percent chicken is 100 percent wrong."
Dave Theno, the Chief of Food Safety at Subway, maintained that the chicken is 100 percent chicken, saying, "Our chicken is 100 percent white meat with seasonings, marinated, cooked, and delivered to our restaurants. The chicken has no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Through years of testing, we've never seen results like the program claimed."
Original post:
If you order a chicken sandwich at Subway, you're not eating exactly what you think you're eating. In a shocking investigation, a CBC Marketplace analysis of poultry from six popular grilled chicken and sandwich wraps found that the chicken at Subway isn't entirely made of chicken. A DNA researcher at Trent University Wildlife Forensic DNA Laboratory tested the meat and found that the "oven-roasted chicken" was only 57 percent chicken, while the "chicken strips" contained only 43 percent chicken. The rest of the meat was made up of mostly soy.
When you buy chicken from the grocery store, you're most likely eating a product with 100 percent chicken DNA. According to the study, that percentage decreases when the meat is processed, seasoned, or marinated, making it likely that most fast food chicken contains a lower percentage of chicken DNA. However, other fast food chains' chicken offerings scored significantly higher on the tests than Subway. McDonald's Country Chicken scored 85 percent, A&W's Chicken Grill Deluxe 89 percent, Tim Horton's Chipotle Chicken Grilled Wrap 87 percent, and Wendy's Grilled Chicken sandwich 89 percent.
Subway responded to the investigation disagreeing with the findings and claiming that the company's chicken recipe "calls for one percent or less of soy protein." The popular chain has assured customers that it will "look into this again with our supplier to ensure the chicken is meeting the high standard we set for all our menu items and ingredients."
Even If You Don't Watch The Vampire Diaries, You'll Fall in Love With the Bride's Dress
Some of the best type of relationships begin as friendships. This was the case for Caroline and Stefan AKA Steroline on The Vampire Diaries. We've been waiting eagerly for the couple's wedding ever since they shared their first kiss and then (finally!) got engaged. And now, we have our first look at Caroline's dress. Delicate lace embroidery runs all over the princess style ballgown. The soft tulle bottom flares out while the bodice is slightly more fitted. A pendant necklace hangs from Caroline's neck and the only other accessory is a bridal headband.
Even if you don't watch the show anymore, you'll appreciate the bride's gown. It doesn't distract from the main event - which is that she's marrying the man of her dreams - and it's sweet and fitting for a Summer wedding. Before you watch the penultimate episode, scroll on to see close ups of Caroline's dress and then scoop up similar versions.

The extremely private star, who opened up about being famous in the March issue of Vanity Fair, has always had an extremely level head in Hollywood. She decided to spread her knowledge of all things when she gave life advice to strangers at New York's Grand Central Station in exchange for $2. While Emma wasn't actually there in person, she was on video chat and happily answered people's questions. Every Parent Should Use This Dad's "X-Plan" to Give Their Teens a Way Out of Pressure Situations
Being a teen can be difficult; you're learning to navigate a more adult world full of sometimes uncomfortable social situations, which may or may not include peer pressure, while also trying to "be cool." To alleviate some of the stress that comes with these instances, one dad is sharing an invaluable code he uses with his own kids, which acts as an out for them during any awkward social situation - and it's something you and your kids should adopt ASAP.
"As a teen, forcing down alcohol seemed a whole lot easier than offering myself up for punishment, endless nagging and interrogation, and the potential end of freedom as I knew it," Bert Fulks, a father and youth minister, shared on his blog. "For these reasons, we now have something called the 'X-plan' in our family. This simple, but powerful tool is a lifeline that our kids are free to use at any time."
Here's how it works:
"Let's say that my youngest, Danny, gets dropped off at a party. If anything about the situation makes him uncomfortable, all he has to do is text the letter 'X' to any of us (his mother, me, his older brother or sister). The one who receives the text has a very basic script to follow. Within a few minutes, they call Danny's phone. When he answers, the conversation goes like this:
'Hello?'
'Danny, something's come up and I have to come get you right now.'
'What happened?'
'I'll tell you when I get there. Be ready to leave in five minutes. I'm on my way.'
At that point, Danny tells his friends that something's happened at home, someone is coming to get him, and he has to leave. In short, Danny knows he has a way out; at the same time, there's no pressure on him to open himself to any social ridicule. He has the freedom to protect himself while continuing to grow and learn to navigate his world."
Pretty genius, right?
Bert continues his post, highlighting one important component to the plan. "Once he's been extracted from the trenches, Danny knows that he can tell us as much or as little as he wants . . . but it's completely up to him. The X-plan comes with the agreement that we will pass no judgments and ask no questions . . . This can be a hard thing for some parents (admit it, some of us are complete control freaks); but I promise it might not only save them, but it will go a long way in building trust between you and your kid."

The True Purpose of the Drawer Underneath Your Oven
You know that drawer below your oven? While many people use it to store baking dishes, that's not necessarily its purpose. The truth is, it could be a broiler drawer, warming drawer, or storage drawer depending on the type of oven you own. Here's how to figure out the purpose of this often misunderstood oven feature.
Broiler Drawer: If you have a gas stove and the heating unit is on the bottom of the oven, chances are, the drawer is a pull-out broiler drawer. Be sure to keep the drawer rack set in place and put the food in an oven-safe container before placing in the drawer. Use the broiler drawer to brown the top of a casserole, roast marshmallows for a s'mores dip or sweet potato casserole, or broil peppers or other veggies (for say, a roasted salsa). Since there's usually not a window, open the drawer every few minutes to make sure you don't completely burn the items as they cook quickly! Keep in mind, you probably don't want to store anything in this drawer (at least, not when the oven is on) as the heat radiates from the bottom and over time may warp metal baking trays, etc.
Warming Drawer: If your electric oven contains a "warming drawer" button, then congrats, that's what the drawer is used for! According to a video from GE, set it to low for pies, medium for casseroles, and high for meats. A warming drawer is especially helpful when your dish has finished cooking but you're not ready to eat just yet and for holiday seasons when oven space is scarce. To prevent the food from drying out, keep it wrapped in foil or an oven-safe lid.
Storage Drawer: Some electric ovens simply have storage drawers and in that case, you've been using it correctly all this time! Pots, pans, baking sheets, and casserole dishes can be tucked away here.
If you're still not sure of your oven drawer's purpose, do a quick search for the oven model online and read the product features. Those details will usually include whether the drawer is for broiling, warming, or storing.
Why 1 Handbag Is No Longer Enough
Last season, we were tightening our handbag straps, lifting them to chest level to make a statement. But for Fall 2017, we're seeing a new trend take hold. From the runways to the street, bag layering is the name of the game. Whether it's by affixing a change purse to a larger satchel or simply coordinating two different totes, more is definitely more.
In Milan, Gucci debuted a new connector strap which hooks together three different pouches. The following day, Fendi revealed the new Run Away double-handle bag, along with a classic "F" key fob that comes with an accordion of clutches. Finally, Lanvin made a case for swinging two crossbodies around the shoulder in Paris. While we'll have to wait until next season to get our hands on those designs, a scroll through some IRL inspiration will leave you full of ideas for mastering the look.
Aside from its obvious allure - this is an easy way to add an extra dash of color and extra dimension to your outfit - the move allows for better organization, too. Credit cards in the tiniest compartment, phone or iPad in the largest - and you can say goodbye to that worn-out canvas tote. Ahead, we have some quick tips for bag layering and our shopping picks to help you accomplish the task at hand.
