Amal Clooney and Her Baby Bump Get Sh*t Done at the UN in NYC

Amal Clooney may have a lot going on in her personal life at the moment (she's expecting twins, a boy and a girl, with husband George Clooney), but she's still very much committed to her work, which includes fighting for the rights of women everywhere. The international human rights lawyer stepped out in New York City on Thursday to attend The Fight Against Impunity for Atrocities: Bringing Da'esh to Justice at the United Nations headquarters. Amal, whose growing baby bump could be seen under her gorgeous yellow dress, spoke on behalf of her client, Nadia Murad, as well as other Yazidi survivors, in her ongoing efforts to stop ISIS.

"Not one ISIS militant has faced trial for international crimes anywhere in the world. . . . Why is it that nothing has been done?" Amal asked. "Somehow we are no closer to justice today than when I addressed you last year. I'm asking you today to stand up for justice. Every conflict reminds us that there can be no lasting peace without justice. Justice is also what the victims want." Amal then asked for a call to action, saying Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi should send a letter to the UN Security Council to request an investigation into ISIS's actions. "Don't let this be another Rwanda where you regret doing too little too late," she said. "Don't let ISIS get away with genocide."

What It's Like Attending a Backstreet Boys Concert as an Adult

"I hope you're reliving your high school and teen years tonight," Brian Littrell told an auditorium full of Backstreet Boys fans at The Axis at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Twenty-four years have passed since the boy band sang their first tune together, but for the hundreds of screaming women (and men) in the audience, the formation of their favorite band feels like just yesterday.

I've been a BSB fan for as long as I can remember. Even though I can't pinpoint the exact moment it happened, I vividly remember dancing along to the "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" music video during a sleepover with my friends, belting out the lyrics to their first album with my mom in the car, and attending my very first concert to see their Black & Blue tour. At 24 years old, I guess you could say that I literally grew up with the band. So, when they announced their Las Vegas residency, you better believe I jumped at the opportunity.

Before the group even took to the stage, the venue was oozing with nostalgia. Grown women unapologetically donned concert tees as they sipped drinks and sang along to the '90s playlist streaming in the background. Some women brought their best friends, some brought their significant others, and some brought along their moms. I was the latter. As we approached our seats, we were in awe at how amazing the view was (from every angle) and took a selfie to commemorate the moment.

Once we reached showtime, the anticipation grew as the lights dimmed and a montage of Backstreet Boys music videos played on the screens. As each song came on, it was like we were actually reversing the clock and traveling back to 1993. Fittingly, the boys opened with "Larger Than Life," a hit that has always been regarded as a tribute to their incredible fans. If their choice of opening song didn't signal it, their overwhelming energy certainly did - this wasn't just any performance; it was a love letter to the fans.

The fun only skyrocketed from there as the boys brought their A game. Their voices were on par, their costumes were a perfect fit, and their dancing . . . their dancing was on point. From the jumping lights to the band's signature moves, I felt like I was actually watching one of their iconic music videos come to life.

Even though nearly every person in the room was a grown adult, I felt like I was a teenager again. As BSB performed their greatest hits, no one was too cool to dance and sing along (and scream for their favorite). Throughout the night, the band kept reiterating how thankful they were for their fans, and it felt like they really meant it. Not only did they come into the crowd for "All I Have to Give," but they even brought up one lucky fan on stage. As she appropriately lost her cool, she symbolized each person in the crowd with the lifelong dream of meeting a Backstreet Boy.

By the end of the night, I was on a nostalgia high, and I didn't want to come down. Thankfully, the boys delivered when they performed their final and arguably most iconic tune, "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)." As the crowd sang along to the chorus at the top of their lungs, I couldn't help but get a little emotional. After 24 years, the boys - now men - are still going strong, and they don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

"I hope you're reliving your high school and teen years," Littrell told the crowd. "Because I hope we have another 24 [years] in the future."

The Backstreet Boys' Las Vegas residency will be running through July 1, so quit playing games and get your tickets now.

Game of Thrones: Will Season 7 Cover Any Material From the Books?

We're already salivating over each and every detail that comes in about Game of Thrones season seven, but one thing that's nearly impossible to forecast? The plot. Fans of the books are well aware that season one roughly covered the material in the first book of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, A Game of Thrones. Season two corresponded to A Clash of Kings, and seasons three and four covered A Storm of Swords. Seasons five and six included some plotlines from A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons, along with stories that aren't covered in the books, i.e. original material. This leaves us with the upcoming seventh season.

Martin has not released The Winds of Winter, the next book in the series. In fact, we don't even have a firm release date. The only information we have is the title, and the title of the following book, A Dream of Spring. That means we're pretty much in the dark when it comes to storylines. For now, we can just speculate based on what the cast has said and the leaked set pictures.

This Is What Happened When Cancer "Messed With the Wrong Princesses"

In 2014, Rheann Franklin, Ainsley Peters, and Rylie Hughey, met for the first time but they already had something in common. Each child was battling cancer and the young girls found support in knowing that they weren't alone. The new friends posed for a powerful photo that quickly went viral because it was as heartbreaking as it was inspiring.

Since then, the girls who are now ages 9, 7, and 6 are thankfully cancer free, but one thing hasn't changed: their tradition of reuniting yearly to take photos in an effort to raise awareness for childhood cancer. "We try to do something a little bit different each year," Lora Scantling, the Oklahoma photographer who has captured their courageous photos, told Today. "[The girls] have a very special and amazing bond that is just incredible to watch! Every time we do a new updated picture the world goes crazy . . . You can see how they have changed and grown, and they look happier and even healthier each year."

At this year's shoot, the girls represented the fight against cancer with gold glitter and a gold ribbon. They also explained that while cancer is like a dragon in your body, chemo is the prince. But most importantly, Rylie clarified that, "Cancer messed with the wrong princesses."

Becky G Has Been a Fan of Selena Quintanilla Since She Was Little - and This Video Proves It

Becky G has been showing her love for Selena Quintanilla since she was a little girl. The "Todo Cambio" singer has always spoken very candidly about her affinity for the late Tejana singer. "Selena is one of my biggest inspirations. Beyond just her music, her way of being with her family and fans was so special and so relatable. Every show, interview, and song had something special. Something Selena. Thankful for the path she had created for young women like myself to be ourselves," she captioned a photo she posted on Instagram in 2015.

In the video, Becky looks like a mini Selena, wearing her iconic purple-sequin jumpsuit, long black hair, and bangs. Even though she is only lip-syncing to the song, Becky knows how to work the crowd and looks right at home on that stage. Press play above and get ready to feel nostalgic.

You Need to Listen to Ed Sheeran's "Supermarket Flowers" If You've Ever Experienced Loss

Ed Sheeran released his first album in nearly three years, Divide, in early March, and we can't get enough. In addition to blessing us with hits like "Shape of You," "Galway Girl," and "Perfect," he also gave his fans an extraordinary gift with his song "Supermarket Flowers." The extremely emotional ballad is actually sung from his mother's point of view, who Ed explained lost her mother (his grandmother) while he was making the record.

The lyrics reflect the unimaginable loss he knew she must have been feeling (and still feel), and he wanted to honor his grandmother's memory by keeping it on the album. "That's the most special song on the record for me," the singer told DJ Zane Lowe during a radio interview. "My grandfather just turned to me [at the funeral], he was like you have to put that out, that has to go on the record. It's such a good memory, that's why it's ended up on there." For anyone who has experienced loss in their life, the song is beautifully therapeutic, capturing the big sadness felt by doing the smallest of things. Listen to it now above.

Everyone Who Is Confirmed for Jurassic World 2

The untitled Jurassic World sequel is picking up steam! The movie was announced shortly after the first film blew up the box office in 2015, and since then, details have been steadily coming in. While Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard were initially the only cast members on board to return, more actors have slowly joined up. Now that we have the first image from the set, take a look at who else we're about to see - besides more dinosaurs, obviously. Lots and lots of dinosaurs.

Don't Feel Guilty Fighting in Front of Your Kids - If You Also Do These Things

It's inevitable: occasionally you will fight with your spouse in front of your kids, and most likely, you'll feel guilty about it afterward, especially if you have an emotionally aware kid like mine. "Mommy, why you and daddy so ang-wee (that's "angry" for those of you that don't speak toddler)?" my sweet 3-year-old son recently asked me. "Let's all be nice and happy, OK?"

If only life was that easy, buddy. But put together two stressed-out, exhausted parents and some superdemanding kids, and peace can't always be expected and typical, no matter how much we wish it was. Although conflict is a part of marriage and parenting that most of us can't avoid, we don't have to feel guilty about arguing in front of our impressionable children. In fact, fights can be valuable teaching lessons for our kids - when done the right way.

Although no one's perfect (admittedly, my potty mouth is in full force when I'm mad at my husband), here's what to strive for if and when you find yourself arguing in front or your kids.

  1. Keep it fair. During an argument, we can tend to say mean and hurtful things, but try your best to fight fair. Name-calling, threats, screaming, and physical interactions should be totally off limits, as should fighting about topics that are too adult or complicated for little ears, like sex, alcohol or drug abuse, or the actions of other family members whom they regularly interact with. Try to use feeling words, like "I feel frustrated because . . ." instead of accusatory ones.
  2. Let them witness the resolution, too. Think about it. Kids regularly see their parents fight, but we often wait until they're asleep or away from us to make up, preventing them from learning the most important lesson about conflict: it can be resolved. Let your kids see you make up and you'll not only make them feel more confident about your love for and commitment to one another, but they'll also see how a healthy debate works, with both parties negotiating, compromising, and reaching a solution. It's a lesson that will serve them well as adults.
  3. Follow up with a one-on-one conversation. Both you and your partner should always talk to your kids about the fight after it's over, especially if they weren't around for the resolution. Express that you're sorry that they had to witness it, but explain that it's normal for parents to argue and that it doesn't mean you love each other any less. Having this conversation one-on-one makes it more casual, while sitting your child down with both parents might escalate their anxiety if it seems too formal or preplanned.
  4. Teach them that no one is perfect. We all mess up, and we're certainly apt to do so during a fight, but you can turn your worst moments into teachable ones for your kids. It's important for them to learn that making mistakes is part of being human and that it's important to take responsibility for wrong actions and apologize for them. Role modeling the behavior will help them know what to do when they make their own mistakes in the future.
  5. Follow a negative interaction with a positive one. Take a family walk, head to the park for a game, or have a fun dinner out, but make sure your kids see you and your spouse interacting in a positive, loving way. Having some quality time will help you all get back to a happier place.

When Was the Last Time We Saw Elena Gilbert on The Vampire Diaries?

The Vampire Diaries is bringing back a lot of familiar faces for its series finale, but we're most excited about the return of Elena Gilbert. Since Nina Dobrev famously left the show at the end of season six, A LOT has changed. Over the past two seasons, the group has battled heretics, vampire huntresses, crazy sirens, and now, they've even come face to face with the devil himself. While Elena will certainly have a rude awakening (pun intended) when she comes out of her sleeping curse, we can't help but think about her last appearance on the show. As you gear up for the finale, refresh your memory here.

The last time we saw Elena was in the season six finale, well, technically - but we'll get to that in a minute. After taking the cure and becoming human again, Elena attends Alaric and Jo's wedding as a bridesmaid. Much to her dismay (and everyone else in attendance at the ceremony), Kai shows up to cause chaos for the Gemini coven. As payback for Bonnie leaving him alone in the 1903 Prison World, he decides to link her life with Elena's, where the latter will remain in a sleeping curse until Bonnie dies. Unwilling to let anyone else risk their life for hers (and because Dobrev was leaving the show, of course), Elena says her final goodbyes to her loved ones. And so the sixth season ends with Elena tucked away in the Salvatore crypt where she will stay for the next 60-something years.

Fast-forward to season seven - literally, because there's a three-year time jump - things start to go haywire. Not only does Lily, aka Mama Salvatore, wreck havoc with her annoying heretics, but by the end of the season, there is a new mysterious evil looming in the Armory's occult vault. Even though Damon was warned about not going inside, when he hears Elena's voice, his emotions get the best of him. Of course, that voice is actually an illusion by the siren Sybil, who ends up using Damon and Enzo for her own evil doing throughout season eight.

While Elena is currently under a sleeping curse, she has appeared in multiple episodes this season through flashbacks, but that's just the beginning. As the show prepares for its final episode, she will be back - in the flesh - to say one last goodbye. Not only does the teaser show her reuniting with Stefan, but Julie Plec also revealed that she will come face to face with her true love, Damon. Of course, there is just one downside to her return. She will be attending the funeral of a major character. Even though we're not ready to let go, we can already tell Elena Gilbert's return is going to be epic.

The Gigantic Ring Nicole Kidman Blames For Her Awkward Clapping at the Oscars

Turns out there was a good reason for Nicole Kidman's awkward clapping at the 2017 Oscars. During a radio interview in Australia, the Oscar-nominated actress finally addressed the viral moment that the internet could not stop talking about.

"It was really awkward," Kidman admitted. "I was like, 'I wanna clap, I don't wanna not be clapping' - that'd be worse, right? Like, 'Why isn't Nicole clapping?' So therefore I'm clapping, but it was really difficult because I had a huge ring on that was not mine - but it was absolutely gorgeous - and I was terrified of damaging it."

The "huge ring" that she was afraid of damaging was a Harry Winston cluster pear-shaped diamond ring of 13.58 carats, set in platinum. See all the closeup photos of the stunning rock on her finger at the 2017 Oscars ahead.

5 Types of Intermittent Fasting (and the 1 a Dietitian Recommends)

You've tried eating healthy, tracking your macros, monitoring your portions, and exercising like crazy, but your body isn't where you want it to be. Enter: intermittent fasting.

Although there are a variety of methods of intermittent fasting, most involve eating for a certain period of time and then not eating for a certain period of time. Certified dietitian Leslie Langevin, MS, RD, CD, of Whole Health Nutrition says that aside from a number of health benefits including lowering diabetes and other disease risks, improving blood sugar levels, extending life spans, and improving memory, intermittent fasting could be another tool in your belt to help with weight loss or to break through a weight-loss plateau.

She says, "It gets your body out of 'storage mode' and mobilizes fat stores for energy." This means that without having the constant source of food (fuel) you'd get from eating all day, your body will dip into the fat it already has stored. That's why people find so much success losing weight with intermittent fasting. There are a few different methods described below so see which one might be right for you.

16/8 or Leangains

What is It? Made popular by fitness expert Martin Berkhan, this method involves a 16-hour fasting window and an eight-hour feasting window. An example would be to stop eating at 7:00 p.m. and then fast until 11:00 a.m. the next day. During the feeding window, two to three meals are consumed, consisting of healthy, whole foods. There are specific guidelines about what to eat, but on all days, protein is pretty high.

Pros: All you do is skip breakfast and have lunch as your first meal. If your mornings are busy, this time tends to fly by.

Cons: It's tough if you're one of those people who needs to eat in the morning in order to function or if you do early morning workouts. You can change the fasting window so you stop eating at 6:00 p.m. and start eating again at 10 a.m. the next day. The specific eating guidelines could be a turnoff.

5:2 or Fast Diet

What is It? Made popular by British journalist and doctor Michael Mosley, twice a week (nonconsecutive days) you restrict calories to around 500 calories a day (600 calories for men), and for the other five days you eat as if you are not on a diet. You can eat three small meals or two slightly larger meals (lunch and dinner).

Pros: This plan is flexible, with no restrictions on what you can eat on regular days, and you can choose which days to fast based on your schedule. Some may welcome only having to restrict and monitor their diet twice a week.

Cons: Not eating a ton for a whole day can be really tough, especially if you work, exercise, or have a family (preparing food for your kids is way too tempting!). Also, insane hunger the day after a fasting day can cause you to overeat, which won't help you lose weight.

Eat, Stop, Eat

What is It? Created by Brad Pilon, this method involves fasting for 24 hours once or twice a week.

Pros: You only restrict your calorie intake once or twice a week, then eat however you want the rest of the time - no foods are off limits. The time frame is flexible - you can stop eating at 6:00 p.m. and then can start eating at 6:00 p.m. the following day, so you don't have to go for an entire day without food.

Cons: Not eating for a full 24 hours is tough for most people and may increase the likelihood of binging once the fast is over. Also, only restricting your calories once or twice a week may not result in the weight loss you're after.

The Warrior Diet

What is It? Designed by Ori Hofmekler, you fast for 20 hours each day then eat one large meal every night.

Pros: Raw fruits and veggies, fresh juice, and a few servings of protein, if desired, are allowed during the fasting window.

Cons: The strict guidelines about what to eat for that final meal can be hard to follow, and some don't like eating a large meal at night.

Alternate Day Fasting or UpDayDown Day Diet

What is It? Started by James Johnson, MD, you eat very little one day (one-fifth your normal daily calorie intake), then the next day eat your normal daily calorie intake. Then repeat! For example, on fasting days, you eat 400 calories, and on nonfasting days, you eat 2,000 calories.

Pros: Cutting this many calories per week results in weight loss.

Cons: You may find it too strict for your schedule to fast every other day. Or you might find it hard to stick to 500 calories on those fasting days, which can also increase the likelihood of going overboard on calories on your regular eating days.

One thing Leslie warns about when thinking about intermittent fasting is that if you have a history of eating disorders, it could trigger unhealthy behaviors. And although you're restricting calories at certain points, intermittent fasting doesn't give you the green light to eat crap like french fries and ice cream during your eating window. The quality of the calories you do consume is still very important. Leslie also comments that you can't increase your daily calorie amount and expect to lose weight.

Leslie wouldn't recommend the plans that restrict daily calories to 500 a day or not eating all day, unless it's for religious reasons. For women, this can stress out the body, affecting normal hormone production, and if calories are restricted too much, it can stop a woman's menstrual cycle. She says, "The 16/8 intermittent fasting plan is a safer version and can still have the boost of weight loss success you need." It's also a plan you can safely commit to on a long-term basis.

Mom's Message About All That Her Ex Does Is What Coparenting Is About

Jessica Singleton and the father of her son aren't still together, but to this mom, he is "more valuable than gold."

In a heartfelt Facebook post dedicated to her ex, Jessica detailed all the things he does for both her and her child that might seem simple but which she doesn't take for granted.

"This is a man who doesn't pay a dime through the state because when my son needs new clothes, I just call him.

This is a man who buys a bundle of kids' movies on Vudu so even I can enjoy them with my son in my own home. A man who drops off the $45 box of pull-ups at my front door so I don't have to load him up and go to the store.

This is a man who tells his son not to forget mommy's boyfriend when he lists his favorite people off the top of his head . . . A man who rushes over because we got locked out of the house or spends his evening fixing something for us.

This is a man who labeled the presents he bought his son from "mommy" because mommy couldn't get him as many. A man who still watches my sister's kids so our son can be with his cousins. One who accompanies me to meet strangers from Craigslist to ensure we are safe.

This is the diaper-bag-wearing, chocolate-milk-making, selfless, protective, generous, accomplished FATHER to my son."

Despite the "tremendous" amount of obstacles that this pair had to overcome to get to where they are now, Jessica wants others to know that they succeeded because they made the decision to. "Stop giving excuses and come together for your children. I'm the most stubborn person that I know and forgiveness came easy to us for the sake of our son. And because of that, I see my son every single day. We always welcome each other's presence."

In addition to her advice for other moms and dads, she has a message for her ex: "In case I haven't told you lately, I'm grateful for you. Most importantly for the motivated individual you are and how you provide Pierson with a phenomenal role model despite the foundation you once had. I love the amount of love my son will always have from you."

The 3 Qualities of a Good Nutritionist

It's rare that a lesser-known holiday actually means much - unless it's National Pizza Day, of course! But let's look at one of the most underappreciated dates some of us were talking about this week: National Nutritionist and Dietitian Day! Before you get caught up in the angst of eating right, relax! National nutritionist and dietitian day should be about empowering you with knowledge and support. That's why we consulted with culinary nutritionist Keisha Luke and asked her for all the pointers you need on how to pick the right nutritionist or dietitian for your needs! Ready to start your healthiest, tastiest journey ever?

Communication Is Key

If you're looking for guidance for smarter decisions in the grocery store, hiring a nutritionist or dietitian is the next logical step. According to Luke, communication is the cornerstone of a good relationship with any nutritionist: "For best results, you need to look for someone who listens with no judgments but who also provides solutions and someone who is passionate about what they do but who sees your vision, health, and wellness goals while holding you accountable."

Hands-On Is Better

If you're serious about your health and diet, the last thing you need is a nutritionist that isn't hands-on with your plan. According to Luke, you should look for someone who can offer a variety of options but can also "incorporate their training with their own life experiences to understand your needs." The key is to find a partner in your journey who will be just as invested in your success every step of the way, and not just concerned with calorie counts and projections. You'd also be better served by working with "someone who cooks their own foods for clients and who creates custom meal plans," said Luke. There is no one-size-fits-all meal plan, she said.

Focus on Health, Not Diet

You may be looking to lose weight. We get that. A lot of people who reach out to a nutritionist or dietitian are seeking diet advice to hit a weight goal. But working with a nutritionist and eating better is way more than just dieting! According to Luke, you should be looking for "a nutritionist who can take an individualistic approach to your health, and [helps to] heal your body with food." She went on to say that anyone giving you nutritional advice should "understand how whole food nutrition can help to heal, as well as the importance of the detoxification process in relation to our organs, with a focus on the mind, body, and soul."

Understanding Credentials

While it's easy to assume that a decorated nutritionist with more letters after their name might be the best bet, Luke cautions against being stuck on credentials alone. "Many people with great credentials can still lack understanding," said Luke. "[They] can be too textbook in their approach." Your best bet is to ask about credentials and education but to also ask about clients and references - never be afraid to ask to talk to a current or former client and find out for yourself how they actually work!

Spoiler Alert: All the Important Stuff That Happens in Logan

The simple fact that Logan is Hugh Jackman's final X-Men movie should raise a red flag that some massive stuff is probably going to go down in the film. The ultraviolent movie is indeed Wolverine's last hurrah, and in case you want to know how we bid adieu to the character, we can help. In fact, here's a brief rundown of how the film ends, but be warned: this is a really good movie, so if even a little bit of you wants to see it, turn back now.

You hear me? Look away.

Nah? You really want to know what happens?

OK.

Logan (aka Wolverine, but I'm just going to call him Logan because he's all worn down and not really in peak mutant condition anymore) is retired from the action-hero game. He's a sad sack of a limo driver now, living in an old warehouse with another mutant named Caliban (Stephen Merchant) and Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart). Logan is begrudgingly thrust back into danger when a woman (Orange Is the New Black's Elizabeth Rodriguez) tracks him down and he becomes the de facto guardian of Laura, a little girl (Dafne Keen) with powers suspiciously close to his own.

Are you sure you want to keep reading? Now would be a good point to quit while you're ahead.

Fine.

A antimutant mercenary named Pierce (Boyd Holbrook) and his crew are in hot pursuit of the little girl, as she's part of a grand experiment to harness mutant powers and create child supersoldiers. She's one of many kids who have escaped the evil Transigen's lab before they could be exterminated. (The project just wasn't working out, scientists wanted to work on something even crazier, yadda, yadda, yadda.) Logan has to drive halfway across the western United States to get Laura to safety. Before he can do so, several big things happen:

  1. They get an entire family of innocent people killed. It's not their fault, but it's still a major bummer.
  2. We find out Logan has an insane, angry clone. Transigen made it in a lab, and it's not messing around.
  3. Professor X dies. Logan's clone kills him. It's tragic, but luckily Logan finds Professor X in time to let him know that it wasn't really him.
  4. It's revealed that Laura is Logan's kid. Transigen creates Laura using Logan's DNA, which is why her powers are so remarkably similar to his.

Laura has been trying to get Logan to take her to a place called "Eden" in North Dakota. He thinks it's bullsh*t that one of the nurses from the lab saw in one of the X-Men comic books, but Laura (who FYI doesn't speak until the movie is nearly over) insists on going there. When they finally make it, all of Laura's friends from the lab are waiting there. Home free, right? Of course not.

In their quest to find asylum, the kids narrowly escape Pierce and the Transigen army - Logan isn't so lucky. He dies saving Laura and the kids, and the kids bury his body in the forest. All the children show incredible powers during the final battle, leading us to believe that Logan has passed the torch, and a new class of mutants is on the way. It's a poetic end to an otherwise brutal story.

15 Exciting Details We Have About Game of Thrones Season 7

Season six of Game of Thrones came to a bloody end months ago, and we're still having some serious withdrawal issues. If you're in the same boat, let's all remember that the end of one season just means the beginning of speculation about another! We have a lot to talk about, especially since the creators, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, have already given two rather interesting interviews following the season six finale. Here's what we know about what's coming up from them, the premiere date, some telling set pictures, and the show's panel at Comic-Con!

The Vampire Diaries Cast Just Revealed a TON About the Finale

After eight seasons, the time has come for us to say goodbye to The Vampire Diaries forever. Ahead of the series finale, the show's stars Paul Wesley (Stefan), Candice King (Caroline), and showrunner Julie Plec spoke to the Huffington Post about everything from Nina Dobrev's much-anticipated return, that heartbreaking death, and the possibility of a spinoff. See some of their best quotes here, and then brush up on all the details about the series finale before it premieres on Friday.

Plec Wrote and Directed the Finale, So Expect a Lot of Tears

King admitted that the last day on set was incredibly emotional. "I knew that I needed to cry . . . a lot," she said. "And luckily Julie was directing and wrote the last episode and she's a crier, so it made me feel comfortable to cry as much as I did. To be able to all stand in the Salvatore House great room set and hold hands and put arms around each other and really say goodbye to the series was a powerful moment I'll never forget."

The Finale Will Offer Closure

"We wanted to accomplish both tying it in a bow and leaving it open-ended and give a sense of the future for each character ― whether they lived or died, understand where they were heading in their lives, and what they were feeling," Plec said. "The first half of the episode is the rollercoaster ride of resolution to season eight and the second half of the episode is the emotional rollercoaster of saying goodbye to all the characters." King added that she thinks the finale will give "fans of the series everything that they wanted."

There Will Be a Lot of Returning Characters

While a few TVD alum have already been confirmed for the finale, it sounds like there is bound to be many more returning faces. "It was a walk down memory lane," King teased. "I don't want to list people because I don't want to get in trouble! But yeah, you'll see a bunch of people in the finale."

Dobrev's Return Will Be Super Nostalgic

It sounds like Dobrev's return will give us some major flashbacks to season one. "I don't want to give away the sets because I don't know what I'm allowed to say - but I just remember we were like kids and our lives were completely different," Wesley said. "I had this surreal moment where I just looked at both of them [Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder] and I just thought, 'Oh, my goodness, we're doing a very similar scene to what we did eight years ago yet the way our brains are wired and our priorities have completely shifted."

Not Everyone Will Have a Happy Ending

While King said that all your questions about the main characters will be answered in the finale, she also teased that "not everyone always ends up with what they wanted." While Wesley said that Stefan is pretty loyal to Caroline, he also admitted that the newlyweds will have some trouble ahead. "There's going to be a variety of different things that test their relationship," he said. "Look, I don't want to give away too much but it's definitely going to be emotional, that's for sure."

There Might Be More Than 1 Death

Say it ain't so! While we already know that one main character will bite the dust in the finale, it sounds like there could be more than one death. "Look, there's definitely a death coming, and potentially multiple," Wesley teased. "Someone is dying, I'll tell you that right now. It is and it isn't surprising. We've had people die and come back to life, but there's no coming back [now]. This is the final episode, so whoever dies here is dead." Plec also teased that the finale will have a lot of heartbreak. "Like Elena says, 'Sometimes you have to feel pain in order to know that you're alive.' Those are some of her words from the finale and are certainly true of the finale itself."

The Last Shot Is Damon's Camaro

"I told everybody at the read-through that we would be saying goodbye to every set, every person, and every important prop along the way," Plec said. "Literally, the last shot of Damon's Camaro." Does this mean we'll see Elena and Damon ride off into the sunset, or will Stefan being driving away from Mystic Falls (with Mrs. Caroline Salvatore) after his brother dies?

What's Next

While there is always potential for characters to crossover to The Originals, it sounds like there won't be any more spinoffs, for now. "As far as this season and this series and this version of The Vampire Diaries, it's answered," King said. "You're finally not going to end the episode with a bunch of questions, you're going to get your answers." Plec also added that while she doesn't won't to exploit the franchise, she is very aware that there are plenty of opportunities for stories left to be told.

Brie Larson on Not Clapping For Casey Affleck at the Oscars: "It Spoke For Itself"

Image Source: Getty / Christopher Polk

When Oscars presenter Brie Larson opened the envelope for best actor and revealed that controversial nominee Casey Affleck had won for his work in Manchester by the Sea, she didn't look pleased. Serious allegations of sexual harassment made against the 41-year-old actor by two women in 2010 came back to haunt him in the midst of his Oscars campaign, and the 2016 best actress winner appeared to side with the small part of Hollywood who didn't support the Academy's choice to nominate him. Although a few other celebrities in the audience also reacted with disinterest to the actor's win, Brie's choice to not clap for Casey while most of the room gave him a standing ovation spoke volumes.

While on the red carpet at Kong: Skull Island's Hollywood premiere on Wednesday, she confirmed to Vanity Fair that her actions were intentional. "I think that whatever it was that I did on stage kind of spoke for itself," she explained. "I've said all that I need to say about that topic." It's not exactly the scathing criticism that Fresh Off the Boat actress Constance Wu tweeted about Casey, but given Brie's history as an advocate for sexual assault survivors, her opinion seems pretty clear.

Maluma Asks Selena Gomez For a Collaboration - but Will She Respond?

First, they followed each other on Instagram and now they might be creating music together?! Maluma sat down with Billboard and gave us (and the rest of the world) hope that a duet with Selena Gomez is going to happen.

Selena first got us wondering what was going on between her and Maluma when she posted a photo with a mic in her hand and the caption "Vente Pa'ca" - which, for those of you who have been living under a rock, it's the title of the song Maluma sings with Ricky Martin and has garnered over 620 million views on YouTube.

On the Billboard interview, the Colombian hottie finally responded. "It's super cool that one of the greatest artists in the world knows who I am . . . and followed me. This is great news!" he said before directly asking Selena to create a song with him - do we think she saw it yet? We're already waiting for an answer. In the meantime, watch the video above.

Game of Thrones Season 7 Will Premiere On . . .

We knew Game of Thrones' shortened seventh season would air later than usual this year, but now we have an official date. HBO announced the news live on Facebook by melting a literal block of ice with fire - or at least that was the plan. The broadcast stopped after 10 minutes of the ice block not melting fast enough. The page went live again shortly after, then stopped after 13 minutes of the ice not melting. Then started back up again. People were enraged. After over an hour, it happened. Over 160,000 people tuned in to be among the first to find out the premiere date, and it is . . . July 16!

Finally! Now would be an excellent time to catch up on all the season seven details, the new cast, and season seven theories! In the meantime, check out the poster and watch some ice melt:

Mandy Moore Talks About That Sneaky Tangled Reference on This Is Us

Even though This Is Us is filled with some heartbreaking moments, there was a little bit of joy in this week's episode when the show stuck in a hidden Easter Egg. In two scenes - one in the present day and one in the past - Rebecca and her son, Randall, have a little saying. "I love you," Randall says. "I love you more," Rebecca responds, to which Randall says back, "I love you most." Not only is the exchange simply adorable, but it happens to be straight out the song "Mother Knows Best," from Mandy Moore's Disney film, Tangled!

The actress, who has been promoting Tangled: The Series, confirmed the reference during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "I have to imagine that [the show's creator] Dan [Fogelman] had a hand in putting that on the small screen," she said. "Everybody on Twitter was like, 'Was that a Tangled reference?' I thought about it while I was shooting but I didn't really bring it up. I just figured it was meant to be there." It definitely seems purposeful since Fogelman also wrote the screenplay for Tangled. "It's all full circle in this world."

What Happens in the Walking Dead Comic Books After Negan's Brutal Entrance

Negan is an unfortunate plague upon season seven of The Walking Dead. First, we watched him kill two major characters in the season premiere: Glenn and Abe. In more recent episodes, two more people fall victim to his sadistic killing streak. While we're still being gradually introduced to his world, we do know how the rest of Negan's storyline plays out in the comic book series. The Walking Dead TV series has veered from canon before, so we can't assume all of this will really go down on the show, though a lot of it already has.

At this point, you have to know that in the comic books, it's Glenn who Negan mercilessly beats to death with Lucille. So after all that ugliness, Negan and a group of the Saviors head to the Alexandria safe zone to take a bunch of stuff from Rick's people. Carl ends up hiding in the truck with Negan's men on the way back (this happens slightly differently on the show), and when he's found out, Carl uses an assault rifle to kill a bunch of the Saviors. Rather than killing him, Negan takes an interest in Carl. He shows Carl around his compound, the Sanctuary, makes a stop to torment one of his many wives, and forces Carl to remove the bandage from his eye socket. Negan even lets Carl hold Lucille while he burns the face of a man his "wife" slept with.

Days later, Negan goes by Alexandria and is approached by Spencer Monroe when Rick is gone. Spencer tells him that Rick is a bad leader and that he (Spencer) should be in charge. Negan kills him on the spot for his cowardice - RIP Spencer. Negan and Rick butt heads one last time before he leaves Alexandria, and on his way back to his compound, Negan is attacked by Rick and his crew. Negan basically laughs in his face, and Rick realizes that he's surrounded by Negan's army. There's a scuffle, but Negan ends up back at the Sanctuary to prepare for "All Out War." (This is a big deal in the comics, and it's about where we are on the show currently.)

Rick is actually the one who initiates a fight with Negan and his men. He tells Negan to clear the space of women and children, and when Negan refuses, Rick and his men open fire. Rick's army takes out a portion of the walls, allowing zombies to pour in and flood the courtyard. In the heat of battle, Negan catches one of his men about to rape a woman from Rick's side. Negan stabs him and apologizes to the woman. Despite having several wives, Negan does not approve of sexual violence. Part One of the war ends with Negan's men bombing Alexandria with grenades.

The next day, Negan comes up with a plan to cover Lucille and all of his men's weapons in zombie guts. That way, whoever they hit will be instantly infected. They attack Rick's colony, and Rick ends up getting shot with an arrow. Negan and his men temporarily retreat, and when they go to take over Rick's people, Negan is shocked to see that Rick is still alive. Rick manages to convince him that they shouldn't be fighting; they should be pooling their resources to fight the zombies - then he slashes Negan's throat. Don't freak out; Negan doesn't die.

Two years later, Carl goes to the basement in an unknown house and talks to a shadowy figure about a girl who showed him her boobs. (I'm not making this up.) The man asks Carl if he still wants to kill him, and Carl says, "Yes, Negan. You know I do." He's been living in the basement for two years! He and Rick have some loaded discussions about mercy and why Rick is really keeping Negan alive. Negan ends up escaping with a character named Brandon Rose. He's still alive in the comics, but he's missing in action.

And there you have it! That's Negan's storyline as far as we know. Let's see how closely the show sticks to the books.
