Julia Louis-Dreyfus Pulls a Total Mom Move at Her Son's Basketball Game

Julia Louis-Dreyfus is such a proud mom. During the NCAA tournament on Thursday, the actress couldn't help but film her son, 19-year-old Northwestern University basketball player Charlie Hall, as he played against Rutgers University. Not only did she whip out her phone like Mrs. George in Mean Girls, but she also got adorably nervous as he dribbled the ball and caught a rebound. In the words of the announcers, "Julia gets to be a mom." And in case you're wondering about her athletic son, it turns out he's just as funny as his famous mom. He hilariously interviewed a few of his teammates for the university's YouTube page.

Ginny Weasley Supports Big Brother Ron at His Premiere in LA

It's been almost six years since the last Harry Potter film hit theaters, but Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley, is still very much attached to his onscreen family. The actor had a mini HP reunion when he attended the LA premiere of his new Crackle show, Snatch, at Arclight Cinemas on Thursday night. After hitting the red carpet with his costars (and doing impressions of Salt Bae), Rupert attended the premiere's afterparty where he met up with Bonnie Wright, who played his little sister Ginny Weasley. The two, who also reunited at Universal Studios Orlando's third annual "A Celebration of Harry Potter" in February 2016, were all smiles as they posed for the cameras.

This also isn't the only dose of Harry Potter nostalgia we've received this week. Evanna Lynch, Jason Isaacs, and James and Oliver Phelps (aka Luna Lovegood, Lucius Malfoy, and the Weasley twins) stopped by the Warner Bros. Studio Tour's new Forbidden Forest expansion in Watford, England, on Wednesday. We're assuming the cast has talked about all of this in their WhatsApp group chat . . .

Emily Ratajkowski Looks Incredible During a Beach Day With Her Boyfriend

Emily Ratajkowski is no stranger to showing some skin, and we love her for it. The model and actress, who has been incredibly outspoken about women's freedom to express their sexuality however they see fit, looked amazing when she hit the beach with boyfriend Jeff Magid in Malibu on Thursday. Emily rocked a white bikini as she soaked up the sun and enjoyed a few beers with her man.

The Gone Girl actress, who frequently posts steamy photos on Instagram, opened up to InStyle for its March 2017 issue about being comfortable in her own skin. "The main criticism that I get is, 'Aren't you just conforming to a patriarchal standard of beauty?'" she said. "Well, this is just the body I was given. I didn't do anything to it - it's just my body. But even if I had altered it, that would be fine too. It's up to me to choose when and how I want to share my sexuality." Preach, girl.

Kristen Stewart Might Be the 1 Person Who Actually Wants Trump to Tweet at Her

We're all well aware that the leader of the free world spends his early-morning hours (and presumably most other waking moments) on Twitter, but long before he was sending out spelling-error-ridden missives from the White House, he let all of his followers know his true feelings on Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's 2012 breakup:

When Kristen sat down with Stephen Colbert on Thursday night, he asked the Personal Shopper actress about the tweet in question. "Well, listen, you have an honor - if I can call it that - that so few people have," Stephen joked. "You were one of the first people on Twitter that our president, Donald Trump, attacked repeatedly." Kristen diplomatically shrugged and brushed the dirt off her shoulder before saying she's actually sad the former reality star didn't respond to her calling him out on Saturday Night Live. "I did it publicly, and he didn't publicly respond. I was kind of disappointed." Kristen Stewart: the one person who actually wants to get in a Twitter fight with Donald Trump.

15 GIFs That Perfectly Describe Your Relationship With Your Mom

Growing up with a Latina mom is a bit like growing up on a roller coaster - the best damn roller coaster ever.

I never really appreciated it until I moved to New York City at 18 and realized that, even though I might've thought otherwise as she made me sit through Mass every Sunday or threatened to smack me with her shoe, my mom is actually my best friend. She raised me on her own and still managed to age like she's Jennifer Lopez (that alone deserves major props, am I right?), but no one gets me like she does - and I wouldn't trade that for anything.

Is your mom your bestie, too? Keep reading for signs she most definitely is.

Customize Your 7-Day Macro Meal Plan With These Mix-and-Match Weight-Loss Recipes

Have you switched to counting macros for weight loss? Many women are finding that it's a smarter approach to dieting than simply counting calories. With macros (short for macronutrients), you'll ensure you're getting the right kinds of calories vs. just looking at an ambiguous number.

Carrie McMahon - nutrition coach, trainer, macro expert, and author of Why You Should Count Macronutrients, Not Calories - knows first-hand how hard dieting can be and went through a horrible cycle of restricting calories. "I used to be a binge eater because I held to strict restrictions, and that tore my life apart," she told POPSUGAR.

"Now I don't see some foods as 'good' versus some foods as 'evil,' and I don't feel the need to binge and overeat on those 'evil foods,'" she said. "All foods can fit into my daily lifestyle, and I've learned how to eat my favorite treats in moderation instead of all-out cheat days." She built that concept into a weeklong meal plan for you so you don't have to stress about "cheat days" either. "I've picked macro-balanced recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and even dessert!"

These meals are optimized with the right macro distribution for weight loss, and you won't feel restricted at all. These are some of Carrie's favorite POPSUGAR recipes, and yes . . . there's pizza involved. "When life doesn't feel constricted by food, you'll feel free and alive, and your mind and body will be more connected and healthier than ever."

Tom Hiddleston Singing in Spanish Is Both Awkward and Incredibly Sexy

Tom Hiddleston stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday night to promote his movie Kong: Skull Island. During the show, the actor told the host about a hilarious encounter he had during the Mexico City premiere of the film, where a bunch of fans serenaded him in Spanish. Since he didn't know all the words, he enlisted the help of Jimmy's Spanish-speaking assistant, Guillermo, to sing along with him. Even though the whole thing didn't go over well, we have to admit, it's still pretty sexy.

This Crazy Theory About Riverdale Would Change Everything

The CW's Riverdale has us hooked, but like most reboots, there are quite a few differences from the comics. Not only are Jughead and Betty officially an item, but there is a new mystery added with Jason Blossom's murder. While we certainly have a few ideas about how the series will unfold, one of the craziest theories is that the quiet town is heading towards a zombie apocalypse.

You might be wondering, how is this even possible? Well, it actually happens in the comics. As it turns out, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa also created Afterlife With Archie, a popular comic series about the Archie gang battling flesh-eating monsters. Adding more fuel to the flame is the teenage witch, Sabrina Spellman, who will reportedly appear in the series. In Afterlife, it is Sabrina who accidentally causes the apocalypse when she tries to resurrect Jughead's dog Hot Dog, and in turn, the undead creature turns him into a zombie.

While it's pretty hard for us to wrap our minds around a zombie Jughead (let alone a zombie dog), there are a few moments from the show that could prove this theory true. In episode five, Cheryl actually has a nightmare that Jason is a zombie. Could it have been foreshadowing? She did mention taking him to the Greendale side of Sweetwater River - aka where Sabrina lives. Dilton Doiley's hardcore survivalist skills could be another possible clue. When Jughead confronts him about firing off on July 4, he coyly responds that his skills are needed because of "the way this town is going . . ." Does he know something we don't?

If we're being completely honest here, we hope this theory isn't true. Don't get us wrong, zombie shows are cool and all, but we are partial to the show's juicy plots and dramatic romances. Even though Riverdale has some striking similarities to supernatural shows like The Vampire Diaries and Twin Peaks, throwing undead walkers into the mix would be a bit much.

This Toddler Couldn't Care Less That He's in the Presence of Royalty

The British royal family stepped out on Thursday to attend a dedication service of the Iraq and Afghanistan memorial at London's Horse Guards Parade. While most the afternoon was refined in typical royal fashion (Kate Middleton looked lovely and talked about her children, Prince Harry sadly kept his shirt on, etc.), one person wasn't feeling it at all. When Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, approached 2-year-old Alfie Lun and his parents, all he wanted to do was get away. The adorable toddler wiggled out of his mom's arms while he was supposed to be presenting the queen with a bouquet of flowers. He continued to fidget and sit on the ground before his mom picked him up. Since the queen has four children, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, she kept her cool during the whole ordeal since it's perfectly normal for kids to say in their own way, "Mom, I'm done here."

Short sleeves and skirts are approaching, and I don't know about you, but my skin has seen better days. I made this amazing-smelling green tea coconut oil scrub to slough off dry Winter skin while hydrating at the same time.

There's not a lot of science about the positive effects of green tea on your skin, but it's commonly used topically in Japan to soothe and heal the skin. Sounds good to me! I use two types of green tea in this scrub: brewed green tea and matcha. You don't have to use both, but I think the matcha makes it a really terrific green color.

You can use sugar or salt in this scrub, depending on your skin type. Sugar is gentler and can be used on your face, while salt is more abrasive and should only be used on the body.

This is the perfect use for that jar of coconut oil that you bought that smells or tastes a little bit too much like coconut to use in your cooking. The coconut scent is really light and lovely on your skin.

Green Tea Coconut Oil Scrub

Ingredients

  • 1 green tea bag
  • 1/4 cup filtered water
  • 1/4 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup salt or sugar

Instructions

  • Brew a strong cup of green tea with the tea bag and the water. Let it cool to room temperature or refrigerate.
  • Combine the oil, sugar and matcha in a medium bowl and stir well to combine. Add 1/8 cup of the cooled green tea and mix well. If not using the matcha, add the remaining 1/8 cup of green tea.
  • Store in an airtight container and use in the shower to gently exfoliate your skin.

Notes

  • If using salt, please do not use as a face scrub. Use on body only. Use 1-2 times per week.
  • If using sugar, please use on your face only 1-2 times per week, and on your body no more than 3 times per week.

While we know Grande can impersonate Dion, we're glad she used her own signature sound for this. Both Legend and Grande appear in the video, along with Belle (Emma Watson) and the Beast (Dan Stevens). Compare it with the original version below!

7 Ways Your Pup Makes You a Healthier, Happier Human

You swear you can feel your stress level go down when you pet your pup, right? And you're pretty convinced your heart rate goes down when your dog is by your side. Well it's not all in your head; science actually proves what we pet parents have known forever: that having a dog is actually good for your health (like really, really good for you). Here are a few research-backed studies that prove our pups are just what the doctor ordered.

1. They lift your mood

Sad? Step away from the ice cream. Researchers from the University of Missouri-Columbia found that petting your dog releases feel-good hormones; the study revealed that serotonin, the chemical that maintains mood balance, increases when a human interacts with their dog (vs. one they don't know.) It only takes a few minutes of petting to release those hormones, so start snuggling now.

2. They increase bonding feelings

Those warm and fuzzies you get when you stare into your pup's eyes are no joke. A study published in Hormones and Behavior found that owners and dogs who shared a long mutual gaze had higher levels of oxytocin (aka the cuddle hormone) in their urine than owners of dogs giving a shorter gaze. And yes, it's the same hormone that's triggered when you hold your baby. No wonder some humans call pups "fur babies."

3. They reduce heart disease risk

It's not all warm and fuzzies, though - dogs can potentially help extend your life (and definitely improve your health). Researchers from Melbourne, Australia, found that pet owners have lower levels of blood pressure and cholesterol than non-pet owners, regardless of their smoking habits, diet, or body mass index. Dog ownership in particular may help reduce cardiovascular risk because of all the physical activity that comes along with walks and games of fetch.

4. They keep you in shape

Speaking of physical activity, a study conducted by University of Missouri researchers found that dog walkers improved their fitness more than humans who walked with other people. Perhaps that's why dog owners are 34 percent more likely than nonowners to reach their fitness goals, according to another study published in the Journal of Physical Activity and Health. If that's not motivation to walk your pup for longer, what is?!

5. They reduce your stress level

Duh, right? But pups may be more relaxing than your SO. A study published in Psychosomatic Medicine showed that when people had to do a stressful task, they experienced the lowest stress response and the quickest recovery when they did it with their pet, as compared to alone, with their spouse, or a friend. Why? Research believes it's because pups are a nonjudgmental companion (compared to some other humans we know).

6. They help fight pain

Not just any old paper cut, either. According to a study published in Pain Med, 34 percent of patients suffering from fibromyalgia reported pain relief along with less fatigue and a better mood after spending just 10 to 15 minutes with a therapy dogs, compared with those who sat in a waiting room. In a different study the following year by Loyola researchers, 28 percent of patients who had total joint replacement surgery needed fewer pain medications because they had daily visits from a therapy dog compared with those who didn't receive any puppy love.

7. They make you more social

Being a "dog person" can make you more of a people person too. Researchers at the University of Chicago found that having a pup made people feel less isolated and lonely, while other pets didn't have the same effect. Perhaps it's all those hours we log at the dog parks. Or maybe because we feel compelled to at the least say hi to the human whose pup's butt ours is sniffing.

The best way to repay your pup for all those healthy benefits? Feed them a fresh, all-natural diet like Ollie that has real health benefits for them.

What to Know About Iron Fist Before Watching the Netflix Series

On March 17, Netflix will add Marvel's Iron Fist to its increasingly popular and ever-growing superhero slate. The new series follows Danny Rand (Finn Jones), a billionaire Buddhist monk/kung fu master who, after being presumed dead for 15 years, returns to NYC to preserve his parents' legacy. However, his self-proclaimed mission is threatened when his attempts at returning the Rand name to its former glory begin to conflict with his duties as the Iron Fist.

If you haven't read the comics or are unfamiliar with the Marvel universe, you may be asking yourself, "Exactly who, or what, is an Iron Fist?" Luckily, we've got you covered! Read below to learn everything you need to know about Danny Rand and his life as the Iron Fist, according to the comics. Warning: mini spoilers ahead!

Origin Story

At just 9 years old, Daniel Rand is tragically orphaned when his parents, Wendell and Heather, are killed while on a family expedition to find K'un L'un, a mystical city that only appears on Earth every so many years. Now abandoned on K'un L'un, Daniel is apprenticed to Lei Kung aka the Thunderer, who helps Danny become a marital arts master. Ten years later at the age of 19, Danny has surpassed all of Lei Kung's other students and is given the coveted opportunity to obtain the power of the Iron Fist, a warrior with special abilities. After defeating Shou-Lao the Undying, a dragon with superhuman energy, Daniel receives the power of the Iron Fist and vows to seek vengeance on the person that murdered his father and caused his mother to die. Ten years later, when K'un L'un reappears on Earth, Danny gets his chance to do just that, returning to New York City to discover the truth.

Powers and Abilities

After plunging his fists into the molten heart of Shou-Lao, all of the Undying dragon's powers were transferred to Danny. He gained the ability to summon and channel his chi energy, which helps him enhance his strength, speed, stamina, agility, reflexes, senses, and more. He can also channel this energy into his fist; this manifests itself as a bright glow around his hand and gives it the ability to strike with superhuman force, impervious to pain. However, using the Iron Fist temporarily drains Rand of some of his power, leaving him vulnerable. Danny is also capable of self-healing and telepathy. Not to mention, he's a martial arts master with insane acrobatic skills.

Love Interest

While in New York, Daniel befriends Misty Knight (Simone Missick). At this point in the Marvel timeline, former police office Misty (spoiler alert for Luke Cage fans) has lost an arm in the line of duty. Tony Stark creates a prosthetic for her, making her a cyborg. She starts a private detective agency with her friend, Colleen Wing, before the two become a crime-fighting duo. Danny and Misty fall in love and begin a long-term relationship. However, things continue to get in the way (mainly bad guys, kidnappings, and near-death experiences), causing them to break up then get back together repeatedly. Danny also strikes up a relationship with Joy (Jessica Stroup) . . . the daughter of the man who killed Danny's father. Awkward!

Nemeses

Rand has to fight off a number of human bad guys to avenge his parents' death, but supervillians are the real challenge. Notable adversaries include Master Khan, a wicked sorcerer from K'un L'un; Sabretooth, a vicious mutant assassin (a lá X-Men) with animalistic abilities; and the Steel Serpent, a native of K'un L'un who failed to defeat the Undying dragon and resents Danny for his success.

Allies

Sometimes Iron Fist works alone, while other times he is aided by a superhero friend such as Misty Knight, Daredevil, or Luke Cage. Some of these people, along with others, formed crime fighting teams such as the Heroes For Hire or the Defenders (imagine something similar to the Avengers). In fact, in mid-2017, Netflix will release The Defenders, a Marvel miniseries featuring Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). The actors will reprise their roles for all eight episodes!

The Completely Addictive Method of Cooking Broccoli and Cauliflower

It won't be a challenge to eat your veggies if you try this easy technique for roasting cauliflower and broccoli. For months, a few women in our office have been praising roasted cruciferous veggies. I'm already a huge fan of baked kale chips, roasted brussels sprouts, and oven-crisped cabbage, so I'm not sure why it took me so long to try out roasted cauliflower and broccoli. Now that I have, I'm never going back to the steamed stuff. The oven morphed the little veggie trees into crisp nuggets that could almost pass for chips. They are addictive . . . don't be surprised if those around you fight for the last bites!

Here's what you'll do:

  1. Cut the broccoli and cauliflower into equally sized pieces.
  2. Spread across a rimmed sheet tray, leaving space between each floret. Drizzle olive oil across the veggies and salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Roast in a 400°F oven for 18-23 minutes, or until crispy to your liking.

The 4 Brand-New Songs From Beauty and the Beast

We've been looking forward to the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack just as much as we've been looking forward to the actual movie. Ahead of the film's March 17 release, Disney has unleashed all the original songs upon us, including the four brand-new ones created for the film. While every track from the original 1991 movie gets an update (shout-out to Ariana Grande and John Legend's incredible "Beauty and the Beast" duet), you won't find these songs on the original soundtrack at all. Listen below, and try not to sob at Céline Dion's new song.

Meryl Streep's Marriage Has Lasted as Long as Her Career

Meryl Streep knows a thing or two about long-term success, and her marriage is no exception. She and sculptor Don Gummer have been married since 1978, and he's been by her side at a number of industry events and award shows in the years since. Meryl may have been mentioned more than God in Oscars acceptance speeches over the last decade, but at the 2012 Academy Awards, it was her husband who received a sweet shout-out. When Meryl won best actress for The Iron Lady, she said, "First I'm going to thank Don because when you thank your husband at the end of the speech they play him out with the music, and I want him to know that everything I value most in our lives you've given me."

The pair first met after her partner John Cazale - of The Godfather and The Deer Hunter - died of bone cancer. She was invited to move into the vacant apartment of her brother's friend Don, who was traveling abroad, and when Don returned, she ended up staying, and they were married within six months. The couple now have four kids together, including one son and Meryl's three look-alike daughters. Look back at the pair's sweet relationship through the years.

The Game of Thrones Teaser Lends Some Serious Evidence to This Dragon Theory

Is it possible that Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister, and Jon Snow could all end up winning the Iron Throne by the end of Game of Thrones? The night is dark and full of theories . . . and this is definitely one of the most compelling. Based on evidence from both the book series and the HBO show, GOT fans have compiled a pretty convincing argument that Jon, Tyrion, and Dany are the prophesied "Three Heads of the Dragon." And based on the latest teaser for season seven, this theory is even more likely to come true.

If this sounds like a foreign language, don't fret - we've laid the theory out for you below, and it might very well make a believer out of you.

The Theory

During Daenerys's time in the House of the Undying, she has a vision of her brother, Rhaegar, stating that "the dragon has three heads." This three-headed dragon theme is reflected in the series in multiple ways: Daenerys has three dragons (Rhaegal, Drogon, and Viserion), the Targaryen house sigil features a three-headed dragon, and Dany's ancestor Aegon Targaryen conquered Westeros alongside his two sisters (all mounted atop dragons). Fans of the series have interpreted the prophecy in the House of Undying to mean that there must be three riders for Daenerys's three dragons before she can win back the Iron Throne.

Presumably, Daenerys herself is one of these dragon riders - after all, she's already ridden Drogon. The obvious choices for the other two riders are Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister. It's been confirmed that Jon is actually of Targaryen lineage, and even if Tyrion isn't related to Jon and Dany, he has a proven connection with dragons.

The Proof

The similarities between Jon, Daenerys, and Tyrion are striking. Orphans who are cast off by society for one reason or another, each of them has an ill-fated love story that is highlighted in the series. One Tumblr user highlighted these parallels in a beautiful chart.

http://ift.tt/1rSbura

The Parallels Between Tyrion, Jon, and Dany:

  • They each descend from an ancient branch of human lineage.
  • All three are outcasts in some form or another: one a dwarf, one (raised as) a bastard, and one literally exiled from her homeland.
  • They are each the third child in their respective family.
  • Each of their mothers tragically died during childbirth.
  • All are fatherless.
  • Each one has made an unlikely alliance during their rise to power: Tyrion with the mountain clans of the Eyrie, Jon with the Wildlings, and Daenerys with the slaves she's freed.
  • They've all had a tragic love story.

Another solid piece of proof comes from the Game of Thrones season seven teaser, which pointedly focuses on a three-headed dragon while Daenerys discusses her father's failings as a ruler. The teaser opens with Dany speaking and concludes with a quote from Jon, hinting that the unraveling of Westeros in the seventh season starts and ends with the two remaining Targaryens. Perhaps it's because they'll each be riding on their own dragon, battling White Walkers beyond the Wall.

Convincing, right? Now the show merely needs to bring the three dragon-riders together so that they can fly, as a united force, to Westeros and take the Iron Throne. Three heads of the dragon are definitely better than one!

The Walking Dead: Why Michonne's Life Is Probably About to Get Worse

When we first met Michonne on The Walking Dead, she had shut off her feelings and seemed more comfortable being alone. Since then, she's found her niche as a friend to people like Daryl and Carol, a lover and confidante to Rick, a surrogate mom to Carl, and the resident ass-kicker of the undead.

While she comes from a similar background as her character in the comics, the TV version of Michonne has taken on a much different trajectory. In the books, she loses two daughters to the zombie apocalypse; on the show, she loses a son, in addition to her boyfriend and friend. The most obvious change is her relationship with Rick. In the comics, they form a close friendship because of similar losses, but their relationship has remained platonic (though it's hinted that Michonne might have feelings for Rick). Instead, Michonne forms a significant romantic bond with Tyreese - before he becomes a zombie.

She also has an interesting relationship with King Ezekiel, albeit somewhat one-sided. While we hardly see them together on screen, the comics show them developing a strong trust with one another, eventually sleeping together one night. Despite Ezekiel's hopes for something more, Michonne clarifies that it meant nothing but could potentially lead to something else in the future.

After defeating Negan and finding some peace with Ezekiel at The Kingdom, she heads off on her own as chronicled in the interactive mini-series, The Walking Dead: Michonne. The three-episode series centers on her adventures on a boat and her eventual landing in a community called Monroe. When she returns, Rick asks her why she left and she explains that she abandoned her daughters during the outbreak therefore would never be able to start a new life living with such regret.

Heeding Rick's advice to get it together, Michonne returns home only to find that Carl has been kidnapped by a group called The Whisperers. They've also beheaded Ezekiel, leaving her distraught and seeking revenge. As a result, she gathers troops from the Hilltop in Alexandria to prepare for a war with this new threat, a war she eventually wins. However, the victors soon find themselves surrounded by walkers yet again.

That's all we know so far, and it'll be interesting to see how much of that makes it into the series!

Daylight Saving Time Leaves New Parents Very Confused as to Which of Their Twins Is Older

While many parents were spending the end of Daylight Saving Time trying to figure out how to get their children to adjust to the time difference, Emily and Seth Peterson were trying to figure out which of their newborn twin boys was older. Yes, we know how ridiculous that sounds, but Emily gave birth to Samuel and Ronan on the night that the clocks turned back an hour and things got confusing.

Here's what happened: "Samuel was born 1:39 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6 and by the time Ronan was born 31 minutes later, Daylight Saving Time had ended for the year and the time fell back an hour, making Ronan's official time of birth 1:10 a.m." Although Samuel was born first, his twin brother is technically older! A nurse at Cape Cod Hospital, where the boys were born, said that in over 40 years of work it's the first time she's seen something like this happen.

The boys are going to love this hilarious story when they're older, and let's just hope they figure out a way to handle their age differences!

How You're Really Supposed to Put On Tights

There are so many more questions than "Should I try fishnets?" that you probably have about tights. Really, every time you slip those babies on, you probably second-guess yourself, wondering if you're using the proper method to roll them up your legs or how they got that tear in the first place. We hear you. That's why we enlisted an expert from DKNY to break down the basics. After all, the brand has one of the most versatile, high-quality hosiery lines in fashion.

We weren't surprised to learn that this pro could provide us with all the answers to burning questions like "When should I throw these away?" or "How can I actually prevent pulls once and for all?" Scroll to read up on the basics, then shop some of the most promising designs to add to your underwear drawer, and refresh yourself on the bra handbook too.

How to Clean Your Tights

"Hand washing is the best method. But if you're time pressed, we recommend machine wash in a hosiery bag. Use mild detergents meant for delicates and run on a delicate cycle. Avoid high heat in the dryer, excessive washing, or harsh detergents and fabric softeners, as these could all wear out the fibers of your tights more quickly. After washing, always make sure to hang or lay the tights on a flat surface to dry."

When to Replace Your Tights

"When you notice that the waistband has become too loose or stretched out, the appearance of your tights has pulls or snags, and when the color of your tights has become dull and faded."

How to Prevent Them From Ripping

"The best way is to pay attention to how you put them on. Sit comfortably, gather the legs up with your fingertips and slip over the foot; continue to work up the legs to the waist smoothly and slowly. Make sure your skin and nails are smooth and remove jewelry before handling delicate sheers."

Essentials to Add to Your Collection

"Wear sheers to look beautiful with cosmetic-inspired skin tones. Wear shaping hosiery, control top, and toners to accentuate your curves or when you need some additional smoothing under body-conscious clothing, and try support legwear, which micromassages the legs with graduated compression. Also play with color and texture, like fishnets, depending on your own taste and lifestyle."

1 Pair of Tights to Get Rid of

"Get rid of your 100 percent nylons and replace them with spandex blends. There is no reason to have 100 percent nylon legwear due to today's latest innovative yarn and technology, which delivers a better-than-bare appearance with superior fit and comfort."

Denzel Washington is a Hollywood icon. In addition to the many classic films he's starred in, he also has seven Oscar nominations under his belt, two wins, one beautiful wife, and four children. Many of the 62-year-old actor's roles have been extremely badass, giving him that whole sexy protector vibe (if he was your current boyfriend, your ex-boyfriend should be extremely nervous). While most people with a pulse can't get enough of him on the big screen, we also have a soft spot for him in real life. Denzel has always been attractive (that smile!), and we have 20 moments right here that prove that's not about to change.

A Celebration of Oscar Isaac's Ever-Changing (Always Sexy) Facial Hair

Listen - not everyone is into facial hair; we get it. Attraction is a mysterious beast, and for some people only a clean-shaven look will do. How to Channel the '80s Without Looking Too Hard Core

If you keep track of fashion, then you know we began to see '80s influence on the Fall 2016 runways - and it's extended to Fall 2017 too. Bold shoulders, wrapped leather miniskirts, flashy metallic shoes, and wide belts that cinched the waist all confirmed these decade-specific trends are back. But they're refreshed and modern, so you don't have to be over the top about your look.

Just take a step back: instead of thinking costume-like (i.e. leg warmers, scrunchies, and slashed tees), slowly introduce '80s-inspired pieces into your own wardrobe, and don't let them overwhelm your outfit. Some of our favorite bloggers are already pros.

They've been swapping off-the-shoulder tops for poufy sleeves but keeping it simple in a favorite pair of jeans. I Replaced My Tampons With A Menstrual Cup And This Is What Happened

Lea Grover from YourTango has a lot to say about using menstrual cups.

It's empowering to know what's coming out of your vagina when you're on the rag.

My mother once told me there are two types of women: the kind who get a yeast infection maybe twice in her life, and the kind who get them CONSTANTLY. Since I was sixteen, I've known I'm one of those women who gets yeast infections pretty much at the drop of a hat, and I've adapted my lifestyle accordingly.

I don't drink a lot or eat huge amounts of sugar. I drink a lot of water. My doctor knows that if I need antibiotics for any reason I'll also need a prescription for fluconazole, a single pill can take instead spending a week shoving slime filled eggs up your snatch to cure what ails you. It's a miracle drug if ever there was one. I don't wear underwear. (That's right - I'm freeballing it right now because f*ck yeast infections.) I ate so much yogurt I eventually learned to make it on my own to cut down on my grocery bills.

It didn't take a lot of months of combining kill-me-now-cramps and itching that feels like a somebody shoved raw wool inside my lady cave to figure out that tampons were another thing I'd have to eliminate from my life if I wanted to avoid the yeasty plague. So I stopped using them regularly early on in my adult life.

But maxi pads aren't a whole lot better. And who really likes going around with a fluffy, diaper-y wad of cotton crammed in their pants, or with an ultra-thin type pad that just makes your panties feel wet all the time?

The options suck, and most months I did as much hiding out in my home, avoiding human contact or real clothing as I could arrange. But a couple days a month, I'd still have to use tampons, if only for a few hours during the day. It was a constant balancing act trying not to bleed everywhere, to be comfortable, but also not end up with a yeast infection at the end of the week.

And then the heavens opened up and angels sang, and I got a menstrual cup.

The first few months were weird at best and disastrous at worst. If the cup isn't in correctly, you might as well not have it in at all. And you only need to lose it once in a public restroom and come out of your stall with blood coated on your hand up to the elbow to really question your priorities in life.

Then there was the harrowing moment when my menstrual cup slipped from my fingers and fell into an airplane toilet and I was pretty sure that no matter how much I cleaned it I was going to end up with vaginal ebola if I put it back in. But I stuck with it, and I'm so glad I did.

For one thing, I bleed a lot less. Did you know that cotton, and the bleach most feminine hygiene companies treat it with, actually makes your vagina bleed? Not your uterus, which is where menstrual blood comes from, but your actual love tunnel? So bleeding less with less vaginal discomfort was a huge plus for me.

Another great thing about the menstrual cup is it doesn't give me any yeasty problems. The sterile silicone used to make my menstrual cup is as benign as it gets. But the best part, without a doubt, is that I actually learned so much about my body by using a menstrual cup.

It might sound totally gross, but it's empowering to know what's coming out of your vagina when you're on the rag. (Or on the cup, rather.) I've learned to identify different cramps and know what they're actually doing when they happen. I've gotten up close and personal with the sludge of my shed endometrial lining. All in all, there's less stuff coming out when I menstruate, but what does come out starts to make a lot more sense instead of just being a gory mystery.

Women are so reluctant to talk about their periods. They'll talk about what it's like to be on their periods, but the thing itself, the mostly not-blood tissue that comes out of your uterus, the process of evacuating it from your body, the smells and textures and colors and sensations are so shrouded in stigma and solitude that we don't often get a chance to ask the question that burns in pretty much all of our minds:

"Is this NORMAL?"

Since becoming a cup convert, I've talked to a lot of women about their time of the month and learned, yeah, it's normal when stuff that doesn't act like plain, ordinary blood comes out. It's normal for discharge to shift color over the course of a period, change viscosity, change smells.

I might still be weird and different for super-occasionally coming out of a bathroom stall looking like I gutted somebody with my bare hands, but I'm confident my body is doing the things it naturally should do, with less extra bleeding, less extra pain, and practically none of the extra cost that come with buying tampons and pads.

I haven't bought tampons OR fluconazole in over a year, and my life is immeasurably better for it.
