Barack Obama Jets Off to Hawaii For a Round of Golf
Barack Obama is certainly making the most of his time off. After grabbing brunch with Bono and his wife, Michelle, in NYC last week, the former president jetted off to Hawaii, where he enjoyed a relaxing game of golf on Tuesday. Wearing a collared shirt, blue shorts, a cap, and sunglasses, the 55-year-old was all smiles as he teed up at the putting green with a few friends. But don't let his casual attire fool you - he's still making time to take care of business. Barack was also spotted dining at Hawaii's Buzz's Lanikai restaurant after reportedly meeting with some tech executives. Perhaps his return to politics might be sooner than we think!
A Dad Congratulated 1 Girl On Her Spelling Bee Win - In the Worst Possible Way
When Miranda Stewart Hunter's little girl won the middle school spelling bee, her mom couldn't have been more proud. However, a stranger's comment to the sixth grader after her victory showed this mom how far girls still have to go.
In a poignant post shared in the private Pantsuit Nation Facebook group, Miranda described how she was chatting with a female librarian after the competition about how great it is for young girls to be affirmed for their brains and not their bodies. A moment later, a colleague of hers whose son was competing (and had been beaten by her daughter) approached Miranda to offer his congratulations. "And what did he say? Not, 'Wow, what a great speller!' or 'She's really smart!'" Miranda wrote. "Nope. He compliments me on how pretty she is."
Miranda knows that her daughter is beautiful, but in that moment she was too overwhelmed to explain to him that her appearance isn't the only amazing thing about her. She politely thanked him and moved on, but his words had a lasting impact on this mom. "Thinking back over the night, I was struck by the subtle sexism in his words. If the situation had been reversed, and his son had won, I'd never have told him how handsome his son is," she wrote. "I'd have commented on something substantive, something relevant, like maybe his spelling ability."
When she remained upset by the encounter, her husband suggested that she might be sensitive or overreacting. "Maybe he's right, and maybe I wouldn't have noticed it before, but I'm glad I noticed it now," Miranda wrote.
Although Miranda regrets not saying more to the man during their encounter, she was presented with another opportunity to speak up the next day when they bumped into each other and he again complimented her daughter's beauty. "This time I was ready," Miranda wrote. "I said, 'She is, but that's not what makes me most proud. I'm proud of her intelligence, her poise under pressure, and hard work.'"

Apparently, Beyoncé's Earrings Will Tell You the Gender of Her Twins
Ah Beyoncé, the master of surprises and sartorial clues. She dropped Lemonade out of nowhere, wore blue leggings during her first pregnancy (a nod to her daughter's name), and shocked everyone with a 'gram that revealed she's having twins. Just when you thought your heart couldn't handle any more surprises, the internet now thinks Beyoncé's having boys. Why? Because of her earrings.
She first wore the hoops with zigzag designs in the "I Am a Boy" video and then rewore them at dinner for her stepfather's 70th birthday. People immediately drew conclusions between the two instances that left us wondering, "Did Beyoncé just drop a hint about the gender of her twins?" While the Beyhive seems to say yes, there could be an entirely other plausible explanation: Beyoncé just wanted to rewear her cute earrings.
Luke Evans Looks So Good in Beauty and the Beast, You'll Forget He's the Villain
After much anticipation, Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast is almost here. As its title would suggest, the film is full of beautiful things: dazzling sets, captivating scores, and Luke Evans. Yes, we know he's playing the villainous Gaston, but who can deny that manly physique and devilish grin? His character may be a total womanizer, but there's no denying those good looks. Evans even admitted that he wanted the audience to see Gaston as a "lovable rogue" before he turns into a complete bad guy. So, if you felt conflicted swooning over Gaston in the film, this post is for you.
5 Details About Season 2 of The Crown That Will Make You Royally Excited
It didn't take long for audiences to get swept up in The Crown, Netflix's decadent dramatization of Queen Elizabeth II's first few years on the throne, and it's pretty obvious why. Although there are a few things in the hit series that didn't actually happen, it still captures the essence of what it was like for the young royal to take over for her father, King George VI, after his shocking death in 1952. With season one in the bag (which reportedly came at a $130 million price tag), it's time to look forward: what do we know about season two?
The Main Cast
Lead actress Claire Foy took home multiple best actress trophies this award season for her spot-on, layered performance as the queen, so it should come as no surprise that she's signed on for season two. She and costar Matt Smith, who plays Elizabeth's husband Prince Philip, are already halfway through filming the next 10 episodes of the show, though they'll be recast for seasons three and four due to the amount of time those seasons will span. "I feel that when we reach 1963-64 we've gone as far as we can go with Claire Foy without having to do silly things in terms of makeup to make her look older," creator Peter Morgan told Screendaily in February. "She can't help the fact she's as young as she is, and if we were to go further forward we'd probably need to think about the issue of recasting everybody and so those conversations are happening now and I couldn't tell you where we'll come out."
Vanessa Kirby (Princess Margaret), Jeremy Northam (Anthony Eden), and Victoria Hamilton (the Queen Mother) are also set to return, although John Lithgow (whose portrayal of Winston Churchill earned him a few awards of his own) will likely not make an appearance due to his character's resignation as prime minister. Foy admitted how upset she is about not having him on set during a recent chat with Vulture. "It's awful!" she said "Me and Matt [Smith] did a Skype chat the other day and John was there on the end in LA. It was so amazing just to see his face! I just love and miss him so much. But saying that, I can't be unfaithful. I do have some amazing new prime ministers - Jeremy Northam, who plays Anthony Eden, and then Harold Macmillan - so I'm a very lucky girl."
The Guest Stars
New additions to the cast include Michael C. Hall as US President John F. Kennedy, whom the show's creators describe as "a natural leader and excellent public speaker who does not take kindly to being upstaged by anyone, especially his wife." Quarry actress Jodi Balfour plays the wife in question, Jackie Kennedy, who is "a seemingly natural First Lady, but whose charming exterior of confidence and glamour hides a shy woman who loathes public life." Joining Hall and Balfour is Matthew Goode, who's set to play Antony-Armstrong Jones, the Earl of Snowdon (aka Princess Margaret's future husband).
The Timeline
The second installment of the show will pick up with the monarch where season one left off, in 1955. We'll get to see how she tackles global events like the 1956 Suez Crisis, as well as matters of the royal family, like young Charles's education, the birth of Prince Andrew (born 1960), and Princess Margaret's marriage to Antony-Armstrong Jones. Morgan also revealed that season two will cover John F. Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy's visit to Buckingham Palace, and that it will conclude just as Britain is on the cusp of electing Harold Wilson as prime minister (and right about the time when JFK was assassinated).
The Story
While speaking at the Royal Television Society's The Crown: Deconstructing the Coronation in London in March, Morgan noted that the focus of season two will not be heavily on Elizabeth. "Its soul is about Prince Phillip's complexity," he said. "He's a strong flavor. I find him extraordinarily interesting - his childhood, again, you couldn't make it up. The soul of season two is about his complexity."
Not to be out done by her sister's husband, Princess Margaret's adventures through royal politics will also be heavily featured. Kirby told Vanity Fair that her relationship with Snowdon is "exciting, dangerous, volatile, and dysfunctional," and that he "starts this whole trail of a more bohemian life outside. Margaret was best friends with Elizabeth Taylor, and she had loads of American actress friends and singers. You see these two worlds collide - hers and Tony's, who is a member of the public and was a creative, liberal, dark horse. Meanwhile, she is this epitome of the establishment." In between the ups and downs of their roller-coaster relationship, they'll presumably find time to wed (in 1960) and welcome their two children, David and Sarah, in 1961 and 1964 respectively.
The Premiere Date
While season one hit Netflix on Nov. 4, 2016, we don't yet have a date for season two.

There are very few things that could make Disneyland any more magical than it already is. In addition to the menu items, there will be pirate-themed events and limited-edition merchandise . . . because the French Quarter could always use a little more gold, right?!

Mom Creates Party Planning Organization to Help Girls With Autism Feel Included
Mia Koullas learned she was the only student not invited to a peer's birthday party the very same week she was diagnosed with autism. Her mother, Katie Koullas, was heartbroken. That's when she came up with the idea for Yellow Ladybugs, a nonprofit organization that throws birthday parties for young girls with autism.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Katie recalled her thought process upon hearing that Mia hadn't been invited to the party. "I remember thinking it was really unfair that so many girls, who may be a bit different and quirky, don't get included," she said. Katie's initial research proved that similar organizations already existed, however, they were mostly focused on boys with special needs. She added, "I just went alright, if it doesn't exist, we've gotta create it."
Named after Mia's favorite little critters, Yellow Ladybugs now regularly hosts themed birthday parties and fun events for girls with autism between the ages of 5 and 12. Right now the events are currently limited to cities throughout Australia, but Katie hopes the organization will raise awareness and inspire parents to host these parties around the world.
Although Yellow Ladybugs helps many children and their parents, it's also deeply affected Katie and Mia, personally. The carefree and sensory-friendly events have helped Mia build her confidence and social skills, Katie told the Daily Mail. Adding, "There was absolutely nothing wrong with her, she's brilliant, amazing, creative, and clever - she just needed to find someone who gets her. That's exactly what Yellow Ladybugs does for all our girls; it gives them a place to connect and feel celebrated."
Join us in wishing the original yellow ladybug a happy 8th birthday! Mia wanted a yellow ladybugs party, five years ago...

Why Disney's "Exclusively Gay Moment" Doesn't Deliver at All
Warning: this post contains implied homosexual spoilers.
Recently, news broke that the new live-action Beauty and the Beast would feature its first openly gay character. The film's director, Bill Condon, confirmed the info in Attitude's April issue: "LeFou [Josh Gad] is somebody who on one day wants to be Gaston [Luke Evans] and on another day wants to kiss Gaston . . . [it] has its payoff at the end, which I don't want to give away. But it is a nice, exclusively gay moment in a Disney movie." While the announcement led to inevitable backlash from some, others called into question this claim that LeFou would be Disney's "first" openly gay character. Let me tell you, after seeing the film, the skepticism was well placed. In fact, not only is LeFou decidedly not an openly gay Disney character, but the "exclusively gay moment" hardly earns that distinction.
Before we dive into the minutiae of the problem, let me explain how this "exclusively gay moment" goes down. The first thing the film attempts to do is establish that LeFou is attracted to men. The musical number "Gaston" does the bulk of the legwork here, giving LeFou effeminate dance moves and mannerisms. At one point, he hugs Gaston a little too tightly for a little too long and asks, "Too much?" Finally, at the end of the song, Gaston asks why LeFou hasn't been snatched up by a woman, he says, "I've been told I'm . . . clingy." Which seems like a non sequitur.
The filmmakers felt the need to introduce a second gay character, but who? After all, Gaston is an unattainable heterosexual man who would never in a million years return LeFou's obvious affection. This means his only option is another person in the town: Stanley, one of the bar patrons that LeFou mentions by name while singing. Stanley is already clearly designated as a "gay" character in the most shallow sense. He's better looking than all the other patrons, his hair is perfectly coiffed, and he's immaculately dressed, complete with a neck scarf flourish.
Hm, which one of these men could Stanley be?
To further "confirm" Stanley's sexuality, we get another moment during the epic fight scene at the end when the townspeople descend on the castle and clash with all the enchanted furniture. Madame de Garderobe, the opera singer who has transformed into a wardrobe, attacks the same three men by covering them in an avalanche of clothing, ribbon, and wigs. As a gag, the trio is suddenly glammed up in flawless makeup and full ballgowns. While two of them men are upset by the drag, Stanley is visibly thrilled, so much so that he strikes a sassy pose. Madame Garderobe encourages him to go forth and proudly be himself, in so many words. Stanley trots gleefully down the stairs and exits the castle.
So when does our "exclusively gay moment" happen? At the very end, there's a ball to celebrate the "happily ever after" of Belle and her prince. We can see LeFou has a female dance partner on the dance floor, but everyone switches and he winds up dancing with Stanley. The two look at each other, for a beat, and then we cut to another couple. That's it. Are you sensing any problems here? Allow me to make a few statements:
- Dressing well and styling your hair does not make you gay.
- Wearing women's clothes does not make you gay.
- Enjoying drag culture does not make you gay.
- Dancing with someone of the same gender at a party does not make you gay.
- Dancing with someone of the same gender at a party is not a "gay moment."
The issue is that Disney believes these are proper ways to establish sexuality and romance between characters. In reality, an individual's homosexuality is not confirmed unless they explicitly mention their romantic attraction to individuals of the same gender. Before you suggest there's no place for something like this in a Disney movie, consider how freely Gaston voices his attraction to Belle. Why doesn't LeFou ever admit he's attracted to Stanley, or vice versa? Are they even attracted to each other, or are they just shoved together because they're both gay? Why, when Gaston asks about his experience with women, doesn't he somehow suggest he's never been romantically inclined toward them? Why couldn't LeFou and Stanley peck on the lips or say something undeniably gay in their "exclusively gay moment" together?
In reality, Disney has left the moment and the characters' sexual identities buried in the subtext. And this is not groundbreaking representation for the LGBTQ community. In fact, as the internet has duly noted, there are plenty of implicitly gay characters in Disney history. Judging by how groundbreaking they thought this whole ordeal would be, though, we're quite far from a Disney character who exclaims, "I'm gay!" and kisses another same-gendered Disney character. Strap in, it's going to be quite a while before our gay "happily ever after."

This Is Us: The Finale Has Us Worried About Jack and Rebecca's Marriage
This Is Us had its much-anticipated season one finale on Tuesday night, and while it didn't feature any shocking twists like the rest of the season, it certainly created a bigger divide between Jack and Rebecca. Not only did the two have a big falling out, but the episode is also causing a few fans to wonder if they will get a divorce before he dies.
After showing up drunk to the opening night of Rebecca's tour, Jack creates a big scene when he finds out Ben tried to make a move on his wife. Due to his intoxicated state, Rebecca decides to not go on stage and take Jack home instead. The two have a tense car ride back and finally let their true feelings boil over when they get home. Rebecca gets mad at Jack for his drinking problem, and in turn, Jack gets mad at Rebecca for putting her career above her family. As their argument dwindles down, Jack reminds his wife that their fight is insane because they both love each other, but Rebecca isn't so sure. She asks him what he really loves about her - not what he used to love about her - but in this moment, what does he really love about her? When he has no response, Rebecca decides to call it a night and goes to bed.
The next morning, Rebecca goes downstairs to find Jack sitting on the couch. The two have a rational conversation about the state of their marriage, and Rebecca suggests that Jack stay with Miguel for a little while. He agrees, but before he leaves, he answers Rebecca's question from the night before. "I love the mother that you are," he tells her. "I love that you are still the most beautiful woman in any room. And that you laugh with your entire face. I love that you dance funny and not sexy, which makes it even sexier. But most of all, I love that you are still the same woman who, all those years ago, ran out of a blind date because she simply had to sing. You're not just my great love story, Rebecca. You are my big break, and our love story - I know it may not feel like it right now, but baby, I promise it's just getting started."
While their relationship certainly isn't looking good at the moment, we aren't exactly sold that they will get a divorce. For one, the timeline doesn't add up. We already know that the Big Three are teenagers when their dad dies, so that doesn't really allow enough time for them to separate, unless of course, something drastic happens. Another point is Rebecca's half moon necklace. In the first flash forward of her and Miguel, she's still wearing it. Why, after all this time, would she still wear the necklace her former husband gave her if they ended things on a bad note? No, it seems like there is definitely going to be a bigger twist in the seasons to come, and we don't think we're ready.
Josh Gad and Jimmy Fallon's "Beauty and the Beast" Duet Would Make T-Pain Proud
No offense to Ariana Grande and John Legend, but we personally feel that the new "Beauty and the Beast" duet might have worked better with Jimmy Fallon and Josh Gad. The latter, who plays LeFou in the live-action reboot, stopped by The Tonight Show on Tuesday, where he agreed to play "Box of Microphones" with the late-night host. After singing "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" into a microphone that turned his voice into that of a chipmunk on helium, he and Jimmy joined forces for the iconic Disney duet. Their extremely auto-tuned version of the song is weirdly hypnotizing and will no doubt make T-Pain proud.

"I go to quite a lot of talks and moms' reactions can be a mixed bag. There are people who say, 'Oh my god that is disgusting,' but most people are generally intrigued and want to hear a bit more about it," Nicole told the DailyMail. "A lot of ladies aren't expecting them, but they are a really sentimental thing to have."
Check out some of her creations ahead.

Employers want Ottawa's help to deal with marijuana-smoking workers

Uh-Oh, Trader Joe's and Costco . . . Amazon Is Opening Drive-Through Grocery Stores!
Whether your new baby just fell asleep on the drive to the supermarket or you accidentally wore sandals before a sudden rainstorm, nearly everybody has dreaded going into the grocery store at some point or another. That's where Amazon's upcoming grocery store concept comes in: once it opens, you won't even have to get out of the car to grab everything on your shopping list.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Amazon's new brick-and-mortar grocery locations will offer curbside pickup, and with construction already underway on a Seattle location, the new grocery model could take over the world sooner than you think.
You might be able to go inside and personally shop for a limited selection of items, but you'll also have the option of preparing an order in advance and simply driving up to retrieve your groceries. Most of the space is used for storage, and "It appears there will be little or no shelves of food and other items to choose from. Instead, all ordering must be done online," CNBC reports. "Amazon will even deploy equipment that will read your license plate when you drive, so you'll wait as little as possible," writes Wired of the grocery establishment. For less perishable items (such as canned produce or dry cereal), Amazon will offer same-day delivery to customers. Amazon has also applied for a liquor license, hinting that the store will offer alcohol, too.
So look out, grocery giants, because if Amazon's other food-related ventures are any indication, this store concept will quickly become a favorite among customers. Perhaps (if we're lucky) more stores will begin offering full curbside pickup at no additional cost! We can dream, right?
New On-the-Go Starbucks Drinks Will Perk Up Your Morning Routine
Get ready for happy mornings this Spring, because Starbucks just released a few new bottled coffee options, available in grocery stores. New options include the Cocoa & Honey With Cream Starbucks Cold Brew, Dulce de Leche Frappuccino bottled coffee, Cubano Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso, Espresso and Salted Caramel Cream, Caramel Starbucks Doubleshot Coffee & Protein, Starbucks Iced Coffee Blonde Roast, and Starbucks Iced Coffee Dark Roast.
The new cold brew in particular hit shelves across the country today - specifically in the West Coast, Northeast, Southeast, and Great Lakes regions - and joins Starbucks's highly popular bottled cold brew lineup as the very first flavored option, and we can't wait to get our hands on it. All the other beverage options will roll out throughout Spring to join the already-large lineup of grocery store staples, including other bottled Frappuccino flavors and Doubleshot varieties.
Just Like That, Michael Jackson's Daughter Is the Next It Model
Add Paris Jackson to the growing list of celebrity children making a name for themselves in fashion. The 18-year-old was signed by IMG - the same agency that reps models like Ashley Graham, Karlie Kloss, Jasmine Tookes, and the Hadid sisters. Prior to the exciting news, Paris graced CR Fashion Book's Issue 10 alongside newcomer Halima Aden in a royal-blue Gucci dress and now she's on the cover of the Harper's Bazaar April issue in a plunging Ralph Lauren Collection dress.
Paris is still relatively new to the modeling scene, but it won't be long before her name catches on. She sits front row at fashion shows and walks the red carpet in designers like Balmain. Don't be surprised if you see both her fashion and film résumés grow longer by the minute with campaigns and movies to come.

To the mom who's breastfeeding: Way to go! It really is an amazing gift to give your baby, for any amount of time that you can manage! You're a good mom.
To the mom who's formula feeding: Isn't science amazing? To think there was a time when a baby with a mother who couldn't produce enough would suffer, but now? Better living through chemistry! You're a good mom. . . .
To the mom who stays home: I can imagine it isn't easy doing what you do, but to spend those precious years with your babies must be amazing. You're a good mom.
To the mom who works: It's wonderful that you're sticking to your career, you're a positive role model for your children in so many ways, it's fantastic. You're a good mom. . . .
To the mom with the kids who are sitting quietly and using their manners in the fancy restaurant: Kudos, it takes a lot to maintain order with children in a place where they can't run around. You're a good mom.
To the mom with the toddler having a meltdown in the cereal aisle: they always seem to pick the most embarrassing places to lose their minds don't they? We've all been through it. You're a good mom.
Potter ends her touching open letter - which you can read in full above - with an even more important message: "To the moms who judge other moms for ANY of the above? Glass houses, friend. Glass houses."

Growing up, I hated my curls. But then I learned how to properly style them, and that was it; I never looked back. Don't get me wrong, the struggle is still very real most days, but sometimes there's nothing left to do but laugh. Read on for 15 common struggles we're sure you can relate to if your hair is curly.

While we've already been treated to a ton of behind-the-scenes and set photos, the first trailer dropped on Tuesday and now we're really excited. In the short clip, Mark (Andrew Lincoln) holds up his infamous notecards to let viewers know to tune into BBC One on March 24. Dad Has His Twins Act Out The Shining in Hotels to Freak People Out
Love making my girls do this in hotels to shit people up, makes the grief of having twins worthwhile. http://pic.twitter.com/n4spPDHX96

Martin Hughes has come up with a prank that manifests itself as the ultimate dad joke: he makes his twin daughters act out The Shining in hotels to freak people out. Hughes tweeted a photo of his girls standing still in a hotel hallway holding hands with the caption: "Love making my girls do this in hotels to sh*t people up, makes the grief of having twins worthwhile."
According to Hughes, he's been cooking up prank ideas, especially this one, since him and his partner found out they were having twins. "As soon as we found out we were having identical twins I thought The Shining," he told BuzzFeed News. "As they've gotten older and we can travel and stay in hotels, it was a given that I'd get them to stand holding hands in the hallway for a joke."
Although the girls look fairly different from the actors in the movie, they've totally freaked a few people out already. "They're too young to leave there to spook people directly, but when we've had them do the pose then stood back and someone's turned the corner they've gasped and gone a little green," he said. "I jokingly taught them 'Come and play with us' not long ago and now they do it around the house while holding hands and standing still. They're going to love Halloween in a couple of years."
Angelina Jolie Just Wore the Boots You Completely Forgot About
Angelina Jolie has a history of wearing monochromatic looks, so when we saw her all-black outfit we needed to zoom in - specifically on her boots. The star wore a pair of leather knee-highs and it was the kind of boot that goes with everything in your closet. Though Angie styled the shoes with a dress and coat, you could just as easily wear it with a pair of black jeans. Her versatile choice came with a little heel and the snug fit hugged Angelina's legs.
Because Angelina is known for sticking to the classics, we weren't too surprised by her boot choice. Though it did remind us that we should probably dig ours out from the closet. If you don't already have a pair, shop similar versions ahead.

Prince Harry Focuses on Charity Work Amid James Hewitt Paternity Rumors
You might be used to seeing Prince Harry all dressed up for his many royal engagements, but on Wednesday he ditched his usual suit for a trip to Epping Forest. His visit was a part of the Queen's Commonwealth Canopy, a forest conservation project, and included meet and greets with a group of very excited school children and some very chill cows. Harry also planted a tree and checked out more of the wildlife, which was probably a welcome distraction from decades-old rumors about his paternity that have been dredged up due to a new interview with Princess Diana's old flame James Hewitt. Maybe Harry's charitable journey will help deflect the criticisms big brother Prince William has gotten for going on a ski trip to the Swiss Alps instead of attending a ceremony for Commonwealth Day?

Ellen's Audience Shades Hugh Grant So Hard During Mindy Kaling's Game of "Who'd You Rather?"
Mindy Kaling stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday to talk about her new movie Ocean's Eight. In addition to touching on the female-led cast, she also ended up going through some of Hollywood's most eligible bachelors to try and pick her perfect man. Mindy, who has dated her The Office costar BJ Novak on and off in the past, is currently single, so she had no problem picking and choosing which sexy star she would want to go on a date with. While she sided with people like Michael B. Jordan and Bradley Cooper without hesitation, Mindy (and the entire audience) were awkwardly silent when Hugh Grant's photo popped up on the screen. Watch the video above to see the moment and to find out who she chose in the end!

The Heartwarming Story of How a Mexican Janitor Invented Flamin' Hot Cheetos
Have you ever been elbow-deep in a bag of Flamin' Hot Cheetos and wondered who invented the glorious snack as you licked every last bit of cheesy dust off your fingers? The answer comes with the heartwarming entrepreneurial story of Richard P. Montañez, a former janitor who invented what would become Frito-Lay's top-selling product.
Richard, a Mexico native, started working as a janitor at the Frito-Lay Rancho Cucamonga plant in California in 1976. While he didn't get to work with many departments within the company in the beginning, he was inspired to create something innovative after he heard a video message from the CEO of Frito-Lay that encouraged all employees to act like owners. "He wanted the janitor to act like an owner? I went into action. I started researching my company," Richard said as he explained the story in an interview with Tennessee's WKNO News. While the idea for Flamin' Hot Cheetos didn't come immediately, Richard saw a lack of snacks catering to Latino communities. "I saw no products that were catering to Latinos or to the person who loves spices," he said.
Flattered that @katyperry enjoys my creation so much! Loved her costume. Here I am jammin' to her creation. #Cheetos http://pic.twitter.com/vwJXoyo4Bf
- Richard P. Montañez (@RPMontanez) November 5, 2014
One afternoon, he bought an elote from his neighborhood vendor for him and his son. As he was eating the corn covered in mayonnaise, butter, cheese, chili powder, and lime, he realized "it looked just like a Cheeto" and thought, "What if I put chili on a Cheeto?" Acting on his idea, he made his own spice mixture and put it on some unseasoned Cheetos at the factory, and instantly everyone loved them. Frito-Lay's CEO allowed Richard to give a presentation and a marketing plan for Flamin' Hot Cheetos, and the rest is history. Pictured above is Richard hanging out with a few bags of his invention in 2014, tweeting, "Flattered that Katy Perry enjoys my creation so much! Loved her costume," referring to Katy Perry's epic Cheetos Halloween costume from a few years back.
Today, Richard is an executive leading multicultural sales and community promotions across PepsiCo's North American division and the bestselling author of A Boy, a Burrito, and a Cookie. Richard says, "One revelation will lead to a revolution in your life," and he continues to encourage young people through motivational speaking - about Cheetos and more - today.

18 Selena Gomez Bikinigrams That Prove She's Definitely a 10
If there's one thing we love about Selena Gomez, it's that she's always game to show off her stylish swimsuits. After all, she's hot and she knows it. In fact, when the star called the TJ Show and was asked to rate her hotness on a scale from one to 10, she said, "On a good day, I would say - like a premiere day - I would be a good nine. And then, on my every day, I feel like a six. Gosh, that sounds so bad! I feel like a six or a seven."
But from the look of Selena's sun-kissed bikinigrams, for which she changes her style based on the prints, colors, and cuts of her suit, we'd say she's a definite 10 - even when she's on the beach with no makeup on. Scroll to find 18 times Selena proved she can work a swimsuit like it's nobody's business.

How to Make Your Kid's Early Wake-Up Time Less Painful For Everyone
It's the week after daylight saving time, which means that your child's early wake-up time (that's 6:30 on the dot, or at least not more than 10 minutes later, for my kindergartner to make her 7:27 bus) is now even more brutal - even if you're using our great tips to make it less so.
It truly is one of the great parenting paradoxes: your child will wake up before dawn on the days you have nowhere to be, but on school days, when they need to be dressed, groomed, fed, and packed at an hour you would have called ungodly before kids? Guaranteed you'll have to drag them out of bed.
Our mornings usually look something like this. Around 6:30, I go into my daughter's room, open the curtains, and put her light on at the dimmest setting. I might sing a little wake-up song or remind her of something fun that's happening that day to inspire her to open her eyes and stop moaning as if doing so might kill her. Then, as every minute without movement ticks by, I get a little more firm. After about 10 minutes, I'm literally pulling her out of bed, a process not unlike dragging around a 60-pound rag doll. That's when the beast is unleashed. She might cry, attempt to throw her pajamas in my face, tell me she's too tired to go to school . . . you get the picture. It's a nightmare, but I have found a few ways to make it less of one.
If you're dealing with a kid who's grumpy, slow moving, and generally making your life miserable all morning, then barely getting to school on time, here are some tips to make your morning run a little smoother.
- Don't waver on bedtime, no matter what it takes. My goal is always to have my daughter asleep by 8 p.m., which means she needs to be in the bath by 7:15 so she has plenty of time to stare at herself in the mirror, pretend to put her pajamas on while she's actually just rolling around on the floor in a towel, and spend 10 minutes picking bedtime books. Find your kid's bedtime sweet spot and stick with it.
- Think beyond bedtime. As every parent knows, bedtime is actually an hours-long process, so if your kid is exhausted every morning, also think about your whole afternoon/evening routine. Is too much screen time preventing them from transitioning to sleep? Are you feeding them or bathing them too late? Pick your ideal bedtime and work backwards, giving your child ample time for each step (homework, dinner, play time, chill time, bath and other nighttime grooming, and books), and you might find that your bedtime routine needs to start a whole lot earlier than you thought.
- Find your morning triggers, and plan for them in advance. Getting dressed is always an issue in our house, but we found a magic outfit planning strategy that made it so much less of one. Maybe your kid always forgets their socks (why not leave a few pairs downstairs by their shoes?), or maybe a forgotten homework assignment seems to always pop up (check that folder right when they get home, Mom!). Regardless of what your major problem area is, find a way to fix it.
- Keep wake-up time calm and positive, no matter how late you're running behind. I don't care how late you know you are, if you run into your child's room screaming and freaking out, that's exactly what they're going to do, too. Instead, stay calm and stay close to make sure they keep moving in the right direction.
- Consider a morning task chart. Charts are a big motivator for kids to do what they're supposed to. Make one that has every task they need to complete before breakfast (get dressed, brush teeth, brush hair, make bed, use the restroom - why we have to remind them of this is beyond me, but in my experience, it's necessary), and they're more likely to do them. Use pictures if your kid isn't reading yet.
- Make a no-morning-screen-time rule. Screens are the enemy of making it to school on time, so jettison them for you and your kids. That email can wait until they're on the bus and their iPad is not a morning necessity.
- Watch the clock and give yourself checkpoints. Once you've done your morning routine long enough, you pretty much know that you need to be downstairs at a certain time, putting on shoes and coats five to 10 minutes before you head out the door, etc. If not, pay attention to the clock for the next few days and figure them out. They're a great guide to keep everyone on track.
- Create a place where all backpacks, lunch bags, coats, and school shoes live. Nothing's more stressful than a lost shoe, backpack, or coat two minutes before your child absolutely has to leave for school. Designate a spot where everything goes right when they get home from school. Add whatever snacks/notes to teacher/completed homework assignments they need to that spot and it's a lot more likely to be there the next morning when you need it.
