Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Can't Seem to Agree on How They First Met
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have been married for six years now and are parents to 9-year-old daughter Harlow and 7-year-old son Sparrow. While the couple is known for keeping their relationship fairly private, the two appear to have a hard time remembering how they met. The Good Charlotte frontman seems to think they met at one of his concerts, as he told fans back in October 2016. "When I first would see her around, we were friends. But I don't think I'm the obvious choice. I'm always like, 'Just give me a shot. Just give me one date.' If I can get my foot in the door," Joel recalled in an interview with Australia's 60 Minutes in 2013.
Meanwhile, Nicole has gone on record saying that they met at a mutual friend's party. "I was at my girlfriend's party and he was there hanging out with my girlfriend's sister, and we met very, very briefly. He was very shy and just kind of kept to himself. I couldn't get a read out of him for the life of me," she revealed in the same 60 Minutes interview. Nicole also confessed to Ryan Seacrest in 2016 that she initially lied to Joel to get him to hang out with her. "I was 25 when I met him, and he said, 'Have you ever watched The Wire?' and so I lied and said that I did so that he would hang out with me . . . he literally dropped me in season three, and I pretended to know everything and it was horrible and then I hated the show."
Nicole's little white lie clearly worked, because the couple ended up tying the knot in December 2010 - that is, after Joel asked her to marry him 10 times. Ah, the things we do for love.
A Day-by-Day Timeline of Selena Gomez and The Weeknd's Whirlwind Romance
Selena Gomez and The Weeknd threw everyone for a loop when they were photographed kissing outside of Giorgio Baldi restaurant in LA on Jan. 10, just two months after the "Starboy" singer split from model Bella Hadid. Their relationship is fairly new, but the stars haven't tried to keep it under wraps. Not only are they now officially following each other on Instagram, but they recently enjoyed a romantic vacation in Italy, where they were not shy about showing PDA. It's only been two months since Selena and The Weeknd first got together, but so much has happened since then.

Dan Aykroyd Remembers the Time He Saved Carrie Fisher's Life at Public Memorial
Dan Aykroyd was one of the speakers at Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds's public memorial at Forest Lawn Cemetery in LA on Saturday. The former Saturday Night Live cast member paid tribute to ex-fiancée Carrie by taking a walk down memory lane and recalling a time when Carrie choked on a brussel sprout and he performed the Heimlich maneuver on her. "If I'd been with our beloved showboat, I might have been able to save her again," he told the audience.
Dan and Carrie met on the set of Saturday Night Live and fell in love while filming Blues Brothers in 1980. Their relationship quickly became serious as they "obtained blood tests for compatibility from an East Indian female doctor" before getting engaged, though they eventually called it quits and Carrie went on to marry Paul Simon. During a recent interview with Empire magazine, Dan referred to Carrie as "one of the most brilliant and hilarious minds of our eon."

There's No Right Way to Be a Parent, but Does This Mom's List of Mistakes Go Too Far?
One afternoon when we were still living in New Zealand, I sat on the couch pretty much topless, as one is when nursing a...

Whether you are a new mom or have years of raising kids under your belt, you're bound to have made mistakes along the way. One mom shared her personal list of major parenting snafus in an effort to foster a spirit of understanding and support among parents.
In her intimate Facebook post, the mother of three first recounted an incident when she was breastfeeding her newborn while her older two boys were playing in their gated backyard.
The couch faced the back deck and I had our garden doors open to the back yard. I wasn't watching TV or looking at my phone, I was just staring into space not thinking of anything in particular . . . Probably wondering how I was going to find the energy to make supper. I could see my 4-year-old son playing on the slide, but the 2 year old was out of sight - not unusual as we had a very large, gated yard.
I didn't even have time to cover myself before a woman came around the corner, a look of fury on her face and my two year old on her hip. She started yelling the second she saw me. "Do you know where I just found your child?"
By then she had glanced down and noticed my nursing baby on one side, and me fumbling with a leaky breast and a nursing bra on the other side. Perhaps she could even see the deep, dark bags under my eyes. All at once I was horrified and ashamed but praying that this woman would take pity on me. I thought, please let her see that I am already failing at life. I don't need her to tell me.
She regained her composure but instead of showing me compassion, chose to continue lecturing me. "He was on the road," she hissed. "Cars come flying over that hill and they wouldn't even have seen him! You are lucky I came along when I did."
Jen let the gravity of the situation hit her and was guilt-ridden by the thought of something happening to her child, especially an accident under her own care.
However, this wasn't the last accident her kids endured. Here, a sampling of her complete list:
- "We never figured out how he got out of the yard that day. It happened one more time, when a repairman left the gate open. That time my husband found him just as he was stepping out on the street."
- "A few months after that, my oldest son fell in the backyard and split his head open."
- "A year after that we were back living in Canada and our middle son (clearly the escape artist) was found wandering around outside in boots and a t-shirt in -20C/-4F weather."
- "Six months after that we were in a busy downtown area and I lost my oldest son. He just biked away from us."
- "A few weeks ago I walked into the kitchen and my youngest (now two) had a butcher knife in his hands and was trying to cut a block of cheese on the floor."
This mother has shared her experiences in hopes that others will meet future parenting missteps with support instead of judgment. "Next month it will be something else. Next year something else," Jen wrote. "We really don't know if one day a terrible tragedy will befall our family - because of a lag in supervision, a safety measure we forgot to take, a lapse in judgment, a child's curiosity, a teenage boy's risk. We don't know because accidents happen."
After reading this mom's list of mistakes, Facebook commenters were torn with whether she deserves their sympathy or if she should start taking responsibility. What do you think?
The Topic of Who Dresses Melania Trump Is More Complicated Than Ever
If you're looking for a unified response from designers on dressing Melania Trump, there isn't one. The "will they or won't they" debate has deeply divided the fashion community since she became first lady, and the conversation isn't ending anytime soon. Just recently, Zac Posen voiced his opposition to dressing Melania. While many designers would side with Zac, there are just as many who wouldn't; Tommy Hilfiger and Carolina Herrera both said they would dress her. It's a controversial topic, because while Melania is the first lady and a representative for the United States, her husband's policies haven't exactly won favor with the fashion crowd.
In fact, many designers took New York Fashion Week as an opportunity to voice their concerns and opposition to the president. Designers, like everyone else, are grappling with how the Trump administration will affect their own lives. Given how intertwined fashion and politics have become, we expect more designers to speak out on dressing Melania. Read on to see who has already picked sides.
Todd Fisher Reveals Debbie Reynolds's Final Wish at Joint Public Memorial With Carrie
A public memorial for the late Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds was held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in LA on Saturday. Fans, friends, and family all gathered at the celebration organized by Debbie's son, Todd Fisher, three months after they tragically passed away within a day of each other. During the ceremony, Todd spoke to the audience about Debbie's heartbreak following the Star Wars actress's death. "When Carrie died, my mother decided to change her plans a bit. My mother always said to me, 'I never want to go to my daughter's funeral service. I would like to be buried with Carrie.' I didn't know she was going to leave us that very next day and when she looked at me to ask permission to leave, she said she wanted to be with Carrie, and she closed her eyes and went to sleep. It was a beautiful exit," he said. The memorial included an original tribute song written by James Blunt, who was extremely close to Carrie, and an appearance by Star Wars's R2-D2.
Carrie suffered a heart attack while on a flight from London to LAX in December, and her mother died only one day later after having a stroke in LA at the age of 84. Carrie's 24-year-old daughter, Billie Lourd, reportedly did not attend the service because it was "too soon."

Start with our wonut recipe and simply crumble Oreo pieces in the batter before you cook it in the waffle iron. But even if you skip that step, these Oreo wonuts are bound to be delicious.

Nobody Wants to Say It, but Miscarriage Gets Easier the Second Time Around
When I first asked my mother if she knew what a rainbow baby was, she had no clue - despite having two of her own.
I explained that a rainbow baby is actually a term for a child born following a miscarriage – they represent the sun shining through after a storm - and she was taken aback. My mom experienced two miscarriages during her road to become the proud mother of four children, but in her generation she felt like this was something she couldn't discuss with others.
After battling infertility and then experiencing a miscarriage both before and after the birth of a child, she lived through crucial life experiences that would've been valuable for other struggling mothers at the same time to know. However, instead of feeling comfortable discussing her journey, she felt isolated in her struggle and, worse, ashamed.
Now that 25 years have passed since the birth of her last child, my mom is thrilled to hear that people - let alone strangers - are using their personal experiences to encourage others. After enduring multiple miscarriages, she wants people to know that - at least for her - things do get easier the second time around. This is what she learned from suffering a miscarriage both before becoming a mom and then again afterward:
Listen to your gut.
The miscarriage before her firstborn: My mom started bleeding when she was two months along and could immediately feel the worst. She rushed to the hospital, where doctors told her she was fine, but her own doctor confirmed her sinking suspicions the next day - she lost the baby and was right the entire time. When my mom was pregnant with her firstborn, the baby kicked her bladder and some fluid came out. Panic-stricken, she rushed to the doctor, but he confirmed that it was just urine. She may have seemed overly cautious, but it was what she needed to be in order to feel secure in her pregnancies.
The miscarriage after her firstborn: Before she miscarried the second time, my mom didn't wait to share her exciting pregnancy news. While some couldn't understand why she would let people know that she was expecting so early on, given her history, my mom explained how grateful she was for any and every pregnancy. Each conception has the potential to end in happiness - and she was going to celebrate that potential from the start.
Getting angry doesn't help.
The miscarriage before her firstborn: The dark time before welcoming a baby into the world left my mom questioning her faith - she struggled with needing to know why God would give her a baby after years of going through infertility, just to take it away.
The miscarriage after her firstborn: This time around, my mom felt even more grateful for the child she had waiting at home to embrace her after the ordeal. Instead of creeping into a hole of despair, she left the hospital knowing her body could carry a child - now, it would just be a matter of when. She was going to enjoy every second with the baby she already had and knew beating herself up about what she didn't have yet wouldn't be productive.
You're still a woman, regardless of how long it takes to have a child.
The miscarriage before her firstborn: She already knew and had coped with the fact that she couldn't get pregnant on her own, but after doctors helped her to conceive, my mom felt like an utter failure for not being able to carry that baby to term. She felt judged by herself and others after having to tell everyone about the miscarriage - even though she knew friends and family had her best intentions at heart.
The miscarriage after her firstborn: She felt that no matter how long it took or how many miscarriages she might endure, her body had already brought a baby into this world, and hopefully it would do it again. And even if it didn't, she was not less of a woman - she was a strong mama.
Other people won't always understand.
The miscarriage before her firstborn: Losing a child is always devastating, but it's a special kind of heart-wrenching before you've even had a child. People didn't know how to act around the upsetting news, and despite my mom's internal pain, she felt it was her duty to put on a happy face and mask her suffering to ensure that others didn't feel a twinge of discomfort.
The miscarriage after her firstborn: This time, my mom wasn't thinking about how she could make the news easier for others, nor did she focus on her own internal devastation. Because of her desire to focus all her energy on her son, she finally realized that she didn't need to explain herself or her feelings to others.
While some automatically assume that each miscarriage experience is equally debilitating, my mother managed to take what she learned the first time around and let it guide how she dealt with the grief when she had to endure similar pain later on. After already having gone through it and being lucky enough to successfully carry a child to term, she suffered differently - and a little bit less - the second time around.
From Blushing Bride to Senior Royal - Kate Middleton's Style Evolution
When Kate Middleton exited Westminster Abbey on her wedding day, she walked straight into her new life as a key member of the royal family, leaving behind many of her single-girl style staples. The flirty and floaty dresses, low-cut evening gowns, tousled locks, and thigh-skimming minis became a thing of the past, as she forged her way ahead with a more demure, duchess-worthy wardrobe. However, since her first year as a royal, Kate has been finessing her look to become something that is suitable for a future queen, sure, but also stays true to who she is. We take a look at how Kate's fashion choices have evolved from her first tentative year as the duchess of Cambridge to a more self-assured mom of two.
The Pretty Little Liars Cast Has a Total Lovefest at PaleyFest
The cast of Pretty Little Liars reunited on Saturday for PaleyFest in LA. Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell showed off their real-life friendship on the red carpet, while Sasha Pieterse looked gorgeous in a blue dress. After having some fun with Shay, Ashley linked up with Tyler Blackburn, and we got another glimpse of Caleb and Hanna's undeniable chemistry. Missing from the fun, though, were Lucy Hale and Troian Bellisario, who tied the knot with Patrick J. Adams back in December.
We're less than a month away from the last 10 episodes of Pretty Little Liars, and to commemorate the cast's time on the show, executive producer I. Marlene King gifted each of the girls a gold Cartier Juste un Clou ring. "I just wanted to do something special for them. It's the nail ring. I feel like the journey they've been on was such a struggle, and they're so, so stronger for it, but yet beautiful," Marlene told People. Pretty Little Liars returns to Freeform on April 18.
E.L.F. Is Launching Its First New Highlighter Shade in 6 Years - and It's Gorgeous
If you haven't used E.L.F.'s Baked Highlighter, your cheekbones have been missing out on one of (if not the) best drugstore illuminators. The baked pigment is a cult favorite thanks to its rich color payoff and affordable price point.
Now, for the first time in six years, the brand is extending its Baked Highlighter range with a new shade called Apricot Glow - and we have an exclusive look! We caught up with Global Artistic Director Achelle Richards-Dunaway, who shared that the extension came to life because E.L.F.'s fans specifically requested an apricot iteration of its famous highlighter. The fan request isn't too surprising, considering the peach color palette is one of the season's hottest trends.
Unlike E.L.F.'s existing mauve- and pearl-toned highlighters, Apricot Glow will give your cheekbones a potent golden shine, similar to those trending on Instagram. Its color payoff is just as luminous as the original Baked Highlighters, and it can also be intensified with a damp brush or a spritz of E.L.F.'s Makeup Mist and Set ($3) setting spray.
The new shade ($4) launches on elfcosmetics.com in April, and we'll definitely be adding it to our Spring makeup lineup when it drops. But while you wait, read ahead for a closer look at Apricot Glow and to see it swatched on different skin tones.

People Are Now Applying Makeup With Hard-Boiled Eggs and I No Longer Have Hope For Humanity
When my life - or the world around me - is spiraling out of control, I have always turned to makeup as a method of free therapy. Whether it's ogling it and buying it or spending an exorbitant amount of time applying it, I find playing with the wide ranges of formulas, shades, and textures soothing. So when I woke up this morning to find a video demonstrating the use of a hard-boiled egg to dab on foundation, I had only one reaction: what the f*ck?!
Seriously, why is this happening? Like many of you, I was next-level obsessed when I figured out how to properly use my Beautyblender and felt that my makeup routine was transformed forever. I also understood when some devotees of the tool defected and tried other application techniques. After all, one of the best parts about beauty is that there are always innovations and improvements to try out!
But then people started taking the hacks too far. Don't get me wrong, I saw definite logic to the videos using push-up bra inserts as blending tools, as they were almost identical to those popular silicone sponges. But testing tampons as makeup sponges? Both counterintuitive (cotton is absorbent, so you're wasting foundation!) and uneconomical (tampons aren't cheap, OK?). And now, the beauty community has moved on to eggs.
PopLuxe founder Nadi just started a new series where fans ask him to use "random-ass" items to apply his makeup, and first up in this challenge were hard-boiled eggs. No, it's not hurting anyone. Yes, this is America, land of the free to do whatever you want with your hard-boiled eggs. But is this protein-laden sponge alternative truly going to replace a Beautyblender in your makeup bag?
As Nadi demonstrated above, the egg falls apart while you're using it, leaving crumbles all over your skin while you work. (Good for a tossed salad; bad for a beat face.) That means you need to use several eggs in just one application session. The frustrating shelling process alone would put me off. Nadi pointed out that they are refreshingly cold, but also slimy sometimes, and make expensive makeup smell like sulfur.
Also, is the average person really going to eat a foundation-stained hard-boiled egg? I get that egg prices are at an all-time low, but last time I checked, foundation isn't a tasty condiment. And if you don't plan on consuming your egg-sponge, that's just wasteful. (Not to be all, "people are starving around the world," but, you know, people are starving around the world.)
Overall, I applaud Nadi for being brave enough to try this out (and R.I.P. to his Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat), but I beg of you, don't play with your food. Play with your makeup as the beauty gods intended. But if you feel hollow inside because you just need to apply your foundation with your food before you die, may I propose using a ripe plum tomato? It's perfectly smooth, egg-shaped, lightly squishy, and can even be refrigerated so you can get that cooling experience. But furthermore, you can peel that sh*t and make some pasta or pizza with it once you're done getting glam.

How to Get Nail Polish Off Just About Anything
Into every life, a little nail polish must fall. But just because you accidentally lacquered your skirt, desk, or couch, that doesn't mean the stuff has to stay there. The faster you act, the better off you'll be, and most materials respond well to solvents you already have lying around the house. See our easy polish stain fixes now.
Removing Polish From Wood
First rule: don't use nail polish remover on wood. It actually ruins finishes and leaves new, maybe even worse looking, stains. Don't panic, though, because there's actually a really easy way to fix the polish-on-wood problem. Just spritz your polish puddle down with plenty of hair spray (we use Aqua Net), let it sit for about 20 seconds, and then wipe it off. You might need to repeat the process a few times, but it's far, far preferable to having splotchy furniture.
Removing Polish From Cloth
Probably one of the most common polish problems, this is also a tricky one. Nail polish remover can interact with some dyes and fabrics (it'll actually melt acetate), so perform a spot test before you use it. If you use remover on your fabric, make sure to launder it directly afterward. And if remover isn't an option, you can always try hair spray. Dry cleaning solvent can also usually remove polish, so if you can't get it out at home, don't be afraid to run it down to your cleaners.
Removing Polish From Hair
If you were in a rush and ended up both ruining your nails and painting up your hair, the fix is pretty simple. If the polish is still wet, just grab some non-acetone polish remover and run it down the polished strands. If it's dry already, work some conditioner or oil gently through your hair until you can slide the polish bits out.
Removing Polish From Carpet
First of all, what color is your carpet? If it's light or white, using a non-acetone polish remover is probably your best bet. If it's dark and you're not sure about whether the dye might interact with it, try pouring on hair spray or rubbing alcohol and then blotting the polish up with a sponge or paper towels. Don't give up if the polish just seems to keep coming - you want to get every last bit out.

This Is How All Your Favorite Chefs Cook Steak
Steak is one of those things that intimidates a lot of people but really shouldn't. If you've ever struggled with cooking the perfect steak, this list of tips should help. We've turned to some of our favorite Food Network personalities and more celebrity chefs for their steakhouse-worthy cooking methods.
Alton Brown: Pan-Seared and Oven-Baked
For pan-seared rib eyes, Alton Brown recommends two key things: bring the steak to room temperature (it cooks quicker this way), and heat a cast-iron skillet in the oven while the oven heats to 500 degrees. He doesn't use the oven until the steaks have been seared first, but heating up the skillet before putting it on the stove helps get the process started and ensure a completely heated-through pan.
Giada De Laurentiis: Add Italian Flavors
Giada's Tuscan rib-eye steak recipe proves everything is better with Italian flair. If you're into rosemary, thyme, garlic, and lemon (who isn't?), this is the best way to cook your steak.
Ree Drummond: Butter-Rubbed Grill Pan
The Pioneer Woman's first blog post to go viral was titled "How to Cook a Steak," and it's easy to see why. Her "never-fail arsenal" is just three ingredients: "Lawry's Seasoned Salt, McCormick Lemon Pepper, and a nice stick of regular (salted) butter." Ree advises coating a hot grill pan in butter before searing the steaks. In the post, she promises, "If you cook it for your friends, they'll never invite you over to their house for dinner again. You will have permanently raised the bar."
Gordon Ramsay: Baste With Butter
It's no surprise that Gordon Ramsay's tip for steak is the same as his tip for burgers: baste with butter. Besides the fact that fat makes everything taste better, Gordon explains that coating steak with melted butter "gives it a nice nutty brown finish."
Ina Garten: Steakhouse-Style Filet Mignon
Leave it to The Barefoot Contessa to school us in making a restaurant-worthy dish at home. If you're feeling fancy and opt for filet mignon, you'll want to use a generous coating of fleur de sel and coarsely cracked black peppercorns to achieve a perfect crust. If you follow her recipe to a T, you'll be the one saying, "How easy is that?"
Chrissy Teigen: Soak in a Garlicky Marinade
Chrissy Teigen admits in her cookbook, Cravings, that she's normally a traditionalist when it comes to steak (page 206), but her husband John Legend's "best marinade in existence" changed her mind. A lot goes into it - soy sauce and garlic, for starters - and after marinating for eight hours, you're on your way to juicy, flavor-packed steak. "I would probably still go simple if I was staring at the most beautiful piece of beef I've ever seen, but use this tangy marinade on a nice, solid rib eye, and I promise you, it will be hard for you to have it any other way," she wrote.
Tom Colicchio: Grill on Each Side
Top Chef's Tom Colicchio recommends turning the steak a total of six times while it's on the grill (grill it for three to four minutes on each side, including the edges). He also recognizes that quality is more important than quantity when it comes to steak. In an interview with POPSUGAR, he said, "start with buying the perfect steak - you can't buy a lousy piece of meat and make it great."
Bobby Flay: Perfectly Grilled
Bobby Flay, master of the grill, doesn't bother with anything complicated for his perfectly grilled steak recipe. All you need is steak, oil, and salt and pepper - and Bobby always recommends oiling the meat itself, not the grill or pan.
The Bond Between These Triplets and Their Garbage Men Is Like Nothing You've Ever Seen
Buddies
Posted by Martha Sugalski on Friday, May 13, 2016
Tuesdays and Fridays are very special days for Holden, Heaton, and Wilder Reich. In fact, twice a week, these 2-year-old triplets eagerly wait in anticipation, and as the big moment draws near, both Heaton and Wilder grab a bottle of Gatorade, run down to the end of their driveway, and sit in suspense.
As soon as they hear the familiar honk of their good friends - whom they lovingly refer to as Mr. Rob and Mr. Chad - the kids wave as the garbage collectors pull over for a special visit. After excited squeals and big hugs are exchanged, the toddlers eagerly give their favorite guys each a drink and sometimes even homemade treats like chocolate cookies. The hardworking men then excitedly (and patiently) allow the little ones to be helpers.
"I'm grateful for today," the toddlers' mom, Martha Sugalski, wrote on Facebook. "Grateful the babies were able to see their friends that they clearly love so much. Grateful that these men take time out of their busy schedule to hang with us for a little bit on Tuesdays and Fridays. They truly are our favorite days of the week."
See the triplets' sweet reactions to their BFFs below.
"Garb" day is almost here - the snicker doodles were so excited to see their friends on Tuesday!!!

Stephen Colbert recently tweeted at Ina Garten, joking that a "quiet night in" for the Barefoot Contessa is a dinner for six. If You Want to Lose Weight by Running, Read This
You started running months ago, yet every time you hop on the scale, you're let down by the results. What gives? While running does burn mega calories, here are some reasons you may not be seeing the weight-loss results you're after.
Postrun Pig-Outs
Burning tons of calories can cause a famished feeling afterward, but it's important to fuel wisely. Choose junk food as your recovery food and not only are you overdoing it on the calorie front, you'll be hungry again in the next hour. Although a postrun snack is essential, make sure it's packed with protein and filling carbs and does not exceed 150 calories. If you exercised before a meal, enjoy a sensibly portioned plate, and don't go overboard as a way to reward your efforts. If you still find you're utterly famished after a workout, it probably means you need to fuel up before you exercise, so enjoy one of these pre-workout snacks before heading out for a run.
You Don't Run Enough
If you're running and not seeing results, take a look at your calendar. Doing one 45-minute run or a couple 20-minute runs a week won't burn enough calories to lose weight. In order to lose a pound a week, you'll need to cut 500 calories each day, through a combination of diet and exercise. If losing weight is your goal, run three to four times per week and incorporate other forms of calorie-burning cardio and/or metabolism-boosting strength training on the other days.
You're Burning Less Than You Think
You just got back from a run, you're covered in sweat, and you're convinced you burned over 500 calories. But did you really? A 150-pound woman will burn 495 calories running for 45 minutes at a 10-minute-per-mile pace. If you didn't run for that long or that fast, then you're not burning as many calories as you thought. It's best to track your workout just to be sure, using a heart rate monitor or one of these cheap running apps on your phone.
Same Workout, Different Day
If you found a great three-mile loop in your neighborhood, running it for a few weeks can help running become a habit. The problem lies with continually doing the same running workout. Your muscles will quickly adapt to the demands you're placing on them, which is a surefire way to hit a weight-loss plateau. Avoid this issue by mixing up your running workouts: include speed intervals, hills, long runs, and short runs, and run on different surfaces and in new places to keep your muscles guessing and continuously strengthening. Check out these four training techniques that will challenge your run. As mentioned earlier, it's also important not to make running your sole source of exercise. Include other forms of cardio as well as strength training since muscle mass burns more calories and speeds up your metabolism.
It's Not Just About the Scale
Running is one of the best ways to tone your lower body because it helps diminish fat while building muscle. Muscle tissue is more dense than fat tissue, so it takes up less space. This means that although your weight might not decrease (and might even go up a little), other body measurements will change, such as waist circumference, bra size, or the shape of your tush. The number on the scale isn't always the best way to monitor your progress. Even though the scale's not budging, you might be able to fit into those skinny jeans you had your eye on.
30 Stunning Mehndi Ideas to Inspire Your Wedding Henna
If you've ever been to an Indian, Moroccan, or Pakistani wedding ceremony, you've probably seen - or worn - mehndi. Many brides, both abroad and in the United States, wear these henna "tattoos" on their hands and feet for wedding celebrations; look closely and you might spot their loved one's name worked into the design. Many women work henna into their regular beauty routines, but it's certainly lovely for special occasions too. See 30 strikingly beautiful examples of this decorative art form now.
