Why Sarah Paulson Will Probably Play Princess Diana on Feud

Image Source: Getty / Emma McIntyre

Ryan Murphy's latest FX show Feud is going to take a royal turn with season two. In February, the creator revealed that the next season of the show would focus on Princess Diana and Prince Charles. Or, more specifically, it will focus on all the drama surrounding their tumultuous relationship and disastrous wedding. After the news broke, we of course honed in on what we will see, but there's a more pressing question: who will we see?

Our immediate thoughts, of course, turned to Sarah Paulson. After all, she's pretty much Ryan Murphy's muse. She's appeared on every season of American Horror Story, she's swept pretty much every award for her portrayal of Marcia Clark on American Crime Story, and she even has a small part in the first season of Feud. Chances are high that she'll be in season two, and all bets are on Princess Diana.

Sarah Paulson as Princess Di makes the most sense. It's another challenging starring role, they're similar enough in the looks department, and it's in line with Murphy's tendency to give Paulson the spotlight. Then, at the American Horror Story panel during LA's Paleyfest, we got even more evidence to support our suspicions.

Image Source: Getty / Anwar Hussein

The AHS panel featured appearances from many of the most recent cast members. Paulson, of course, was in attendance, and so was bonafide horror queen Kathy Bates. At multiple points during the panel, Bates jokingly referred to Paulson as "the people's princess." This phrase first used by British Prime Minister Tony Blair to describe Princess Diana, which is why the moment stuck out so much during the panel. Of course, Bates could just be causing more rumors and murmurs, or she could just be poking fun at Paulson, but there was something about the way she kept bringing it up that made it seem like she knew something more.

For the record, one man mentioned during the Q&A that while Paulson may be "the people's princess," Bates is the Queen. While he may not have directly meant Queen Elizabeth II, we're certainly not mad about that casting either. Let's make it happen, Murphy!

This New Nursing Bra Promises to Solve Your Pumping Problems Too

Nursing bras and pumping bras (and breast pumps, for that matter) are many women's least favorite things about early motherhood. Nursing bras are generally ugly, not supportive enough, and annoying to unlatch and relatch. Pumping bras are also generally ugly, not supportive enough, and annoying to take off and on.

I know firsthand how lacking the market is for these products, having gone through multiple brands and styles of both after the birth of each of my children. For a combined total of 17 months, I had no choice but to wear various iterations of terrible nursing and pumping bras with elastic straps that stretch out, cups that pooch on the sides, and clasps that magically unlatch when you don't want them to. And don't even get me started about what a nursing mom is supposed to wear to work out!

So when a friend sent me the link to a Kickstarter campaign for The Anywhere Bra by Ollie Gray, which promised to be the "first combination maternity, breastfeeding and pumping bra that perfectly marries style, function," I immediately pledged $40 and forwarded the link to my pregnant friends. So what is this "revolutionary" bra all about?

It Solves Both Nursing and Pumping Needs

There is an "easy release clasp" for nursing as well as two options for pumping: a side opening for newer tube pumps and a "fly system" to hold breast shields for traditional pumps firmly in place. How did it take so long for someone to come up with an option that allows moms to avoid going fully topless to switch into their pumping bra at the office?!

It Was Created by Women

Mom of two Kate Rech founded the company after being "disappointed with the breastfeeding and pumping bras available." She teamed up with former Lululemon designer Cara Sumpton to create what they think is the "world's most comfortable all-in-one bra designed to fit gently and securely during pregnancy, breastfeeding, work and exercise." You had me at Lululemon.

It's Cute

In addition to the basic colors like black, white, and beige, the bra comes in three fun patterns. It also has adjustable straps so you can wear them straight or crossed in the back, depending on your top.

It Looks Comfortable

Based on what I know about nursing and pumping bras, this one looks like it'll have a better fit than others out there. The smooth front, supportive sides, and thicker fabric (which is moisture-wicking and antimicrobial) seem like they'll solve many of the issues I had with previous options.

It's Getting Rave Reviews

Former Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock wore the floral-print version after the October 2016 birth of her son (see top photo) and called it "cute and comfy."

I don't even know for sure that I'll ever need a nursing bra again, but anyone trying to make this necessary product better for women who are already dealing with the often difficult task of feeding their babies gets my vote. Here's to hoping this newbie to the mommy market can deliver on all of its promises and make nursing and pumping life that much smoother for moms everywhere.

The Anywhere Bra ($63 to $68) is currently available for preorder on the Ollie Gray website.

If You Experience Hormonal Breakouts, You'll Thank God For This Mask

I've yet to find a woman who hasn't encountered this issue: you're about to embark on that time of the month, and your skin appears to be mirroring just how annoyed, inflamed, and pissed off you feel on the inside. (If you haven't, please DM me immediately so I can paint a full picture.) But I've found something that has helped my skin during this monthly visit - premenstrual, if you will - and it doesn't require removing my uterus. Yay! In fact, it's a face mask, and it's going to be something you will wish they sold at Costco. Someone just get me a giant vat of this stuff.

The mask comes from Renée Rouleau, Demi Lovato's go-to esthetician and Texas native. She has helped me with two major skin care woes in my life, issues that have plagued me. First, she is the one who identified that I had melasma when I was 25. Mid-20s me thought the dark spots on my forehead and cheeks, which could appear to be shadows to the naked eye, were remnants of my self-tanner that I wasn't able to wash off. (To be young and naive.) It was during a facial at her Dallas location that she gently brought up that I had melasma and informed me of what triggered it: my birth control.

This changed my life. Seriously. I got off birth control, something I was able to do without worry at the time. I stopped upsetting my melanocytes - the cells that produce melanin, or pigment, in the skin - with heated, aggressive treatments. (For the most part.) I wore a hat to the beach and aspired to stay out of the heat in general, knowing the temperature could set my melasma off. And although there's a little bit on my forehead, it's less noticeable than it once was.

Then, a few years later, I had a breakout after leaving the Coachella Valley. God help me. My cheeks were ridden with red bumps and pustules, something I knew wasn't normal, and I realized they recurred each time I left Palm Springs. My (since dropped) dermatologist was quick to prescribe me pills to kill whatever it was, but wanting actual answers, I wrote Renée, who is now based in Austin. She asked me a variety of questions about my weekend that helped her pinpoint what I was experiencing: acne cosmetica. Spending long days in the dry climate with heavy winds and an oil-based foundation meant my pores were being blocked by my foundation and increased my oil production, resulting in what looks like a breakout. She made an easy suggestion: wear powder foundation on your next trip. And you know what? I haven't had a breakout in the desert since!

Now you know that I trust this woman. She dug deeper than my dermatologist bothered to in order to find the right solution. This is incredibly helpful when you're trying to fix any skin issue you have; it is invaluable.

Visiting Renée over Golden Globes weekend, I got a chance to receive a facial and learn about her new products. First, she told me I needed to "put the fire out of my skin." It was inflamed as hell, and I had several cysts that I hadn't battled with in some time. And truth be told, it kind of comes with the territory when you're testing skin care products regularly, but she reminded me that I must be gentle. She took a minute to give my skin a chill pill in the form of a rubber mask, then introduced me to her newest baby, an anti-breakout solution for hormonal acne that won't dry out your skin: the Rapid Response Detox Masque ($61).

Is it too good to be true? No. It works. I've tested it for a month, and I'm currently wearing the sheerest foundation I own - a compact from Laneige - if that gives you any indication. It works to help with clogged pores that result from travel, hormones, and even sleeping with makeup on. Renée suggests it for premenstrual acne to help "disrupt the acne cycle." This is mask is lightweight and dreamy; when it dries, it doesn't feel hard, sticky, or taut. Renée suggests exfoliating before applying the mask, so lightly scrub or use a peel to help get rid of dead skin. The mask itself is a golden, shimmery gel. Slather it on and let the following eliminate your future breakouts: tea tree leaf oil is antimicrobial and an anti-inflammatory that helps with acne bacteria. Helping to stop inflammation is key when it comes to getting rid of your breakouts, which is why she also included lichocalchone, or Chinese licorice, which helps soothe the skin. Manuka branch/leaf oil helps with the microbial - or bacteria - count on your skin's surface, and she included a salicylic acid complex to help exfoliate and reduce oil.

This mask doesn't include parabens, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, SD alcohol, or gluten, which my skin was thrilled about. I use it once a week, and it's recommended you leave on for about 15 minutes. (I tend to go over since I get distracted and forget I have it on.) Many masks take a few minutes to get off because they leave patches of product behind. This slides off the skin easily and leaves your with a glow afterward.

Investing in your skin, period, is always a good idea, but especially during that time of the month. My skin will take any help it can get!

Game of Thrones: The New Characters We'll Meet on Season 7

As we count the days leading up to Game of Thrones' seventh season, we find ourselves craving more and more information - blame this year's delayed premiere. There are a handful of cliffhangers that need resolution, but right now we're more concerned with the new storylines. There are a couple of new faces coming to the show, but only one of them will play a new character. (Tom Hopper is just taking over the role of Dickon Tarly, since Freddie Stroma left the show to star on Time After Time.) Of course, Ed Sheeran is making an appearance, but it will more than likely be a short cameo.

This leaves one new actor with potential for a meaty new part: Jim Broadbent. HBO is generally very tight-lipped about Game of Thrones spoilers, but Broadbent himself spilled a bit about the role in March. "I'm a maester, an archmaester," he told ScreenCrush. "I'm an old professor character." He also divulged that he shot five episodes (there are seven in the season), he appears in "one major scene each episode," and the majority of his scenes are with Samwell Tarly.

All of these hints point to a character in the books who is known as Marwyn the Mage. The archmaester lives at the Citadel (where Samwell has just arrived on the show), and upon hearing Samwell's story, Marwyn leaves to seek out Daenerys. Before departing, he orders Sam to finish his studies then immediately return to the Wall.

Of course, it's entirely possible that we could be meeting other new characters, as well. HBO is good at keeping secrets!

Though no official press releases have been posted by the Food Network, Ina spoke to Today Food and divulged that Cook Like a Pro will be directed toward a millennial audience and will focus on proper cooking techniques over elaborate recipes. 18 WTF Thoughts Every Work-From-Home Mom Can Relate To

When I was pregnant with my now almost 6-year-old daughter, I got my first work-from-home job. The timing was perfect. Instead of investing in a work-appropriate maternity wardrobe, I bought a bunch of oversize t-shirts and discovered that Lululemon leggings are surprisingly stretchy. I maintained a pretty standard 9-to-5 schedule, but I used my former commute time for sleeping in and sometimes spent my lunch break catnapping. I worried that occasionally using my pregnant belly as a laptop stand because I was working from bed (I was tired a lot when I was pregnant, OK?) would cause permanent damage to my baby, but other than that, it was heavenly. I decided I would never go back to an office again.

Six years and two kids later, I still work from home, but is it the same utopian situation that I first thought? Like many other things in my life (my waistline, my wrinkle-free forehead, my relative sanity), my kids pretty much destroyed that perfect little world. My home/office is their home as well, which means it's now pretty much the worst place on the planet for me to be productive - hence why I'm writing this from Starbucks, where most of the baristas have memorized my name and drink order. If you're also a work-from-home mom, here are some thoughts that probably go through your head regularly.

  1. Monday morning: I'm so lucky that I don't have to go into an office and have such a flexible schedule.
  2. Monday night: Remember how much easier it was to work from an office? No screaming kids or constant interruptions and solo bathroom breaks? God, I miss those days.
  3. Please, please let my child take a long nap today; otherwise, I'll never make my deadline.
  4. He's not going to nap. Guess I'll work after the kids go to sleep.
  5. Damn it! Fell asleep putting kids to bed again. Tomorrow I am going to have to knock sh*t out.
  6. Please, please let my sitter get here on time and agree to stay late.
  7. What!? Sitter is canceling? Guess it's an iPad and Netflix kind of day.
  8. How many times a day can I tell my kids to leave me alone before they are damaged for life?
  9. No, seriously - kids, leave me alone.
  10. If one more person tells me I'm so lucky to work from home or that I have the best of both worlds, I'm going to scream!
  11. How much of this conference call can I put on mute before they notice?
  12. Please, please don't let my kids start screaming while my conference call is not on mute.
  13. How many hours can I work at Starbucks before they start charging me a table rental space?
  14. Love Starbucks free WiFi and easy access to caffeine. Hate smelling like I bathed in coffee the rest of the day.
  15. Maybe if I set up an office space farther from the kids, they'll respect my work time more.
  16. Nope. Maybe if I put a lock on the door.
  17. Still nope.
  18. Working from home sucks. Except I get to wear sweatpants. And make my own hours. And I have no commute. OK, maybe I am just a little lucky.

Is Richard Simmons OK? A Timeline of His Mysterious Disappearing Act

Image Source: Getty / Michael Buckner

After an '80s heyday of toning tushes on tapes, Richard Simmons continued to be in the pop culture stratosphere for decades - until recently. The lively fitness guru would appear on late night segments, teach classes at his Beverly Hills studio, and was always ready to pose with fans for a picture. Then, in 2014, he stopped showing up for classes. He stopped talking to his friends. He no longer bounded out of his home to meet buses full of tourists - he didn't leave his home at all.

The disappearing act has become the subject of a hit podcast, Missing Richard Simmons. It's hosted by Dan Taberski, who above all, seems genuinely concerned about a generous and caring man who he had come to think of as a friend. While we're still not exactly sure what Richard is up to, or if he'll emerge any time soon, let's review what's happened in the past few years.

  • Nov. 28, 2013: Richard makes his last television appearance. Richard was photographed at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, clad in a fur coat and in high spirits, posing with various floats.

Image Source: Getty / Laura Cavanaugh

  • January 16, 2013: Richard attends his final public event. Months later, he turned up at a fundraiser for Covered California, encouraging people to be healthy and insured.
  • Feb. 15, 2014: Richard doesn't show up for class. Despite his fame and fortune (exercise tapes are a big business), Richard always turned up for his students at Slimmons Studio in Beverly Hills. Then on Feb. 15, he didn't call to cancel or alert his staff; he just didn't go.
  • March 12, 2016: The New York Daily News publishes a shocking exposé. Over two years after Richard disappeared from the public eye, writer Andy Martino published a story that insinuated that Richard's housekeeper, Teresa Reveles, was now in control of his life. The damning "evidence" relied heavily on an interview with Richard's former masseuse and personal assistant, Mauro Oliveira. Oliveira also wrote a children's book about his take on the situation, which he claims involves witchcraft.
  • March 13, 2016: Richard spoke to the Today show. Richard agreed to speak to Savannah Guthrie over the phone, and the interview aired the next day. In it, he says, "No one is holding me in my house as a hostage. I do what I want to do as I've always done so people should sort of just believe what I have to say because like I'm Richard Simmons!"
  • March 12, 2016: Richard also spoke to Entertainment Tonight by phone. The same night, Richard asserted that he was OK while on the phone with a producer from ET."It's time, right now, for Richard Simmons to take care of Richard Simmons." He expressed gratitude for his fans, and claimed to be writing a new book. He also brought up the fact that he was still in recovery from a knee surgery, and his other knee had started to hurt as well.
  • June 3, 2016: Richard went to the hospital. Richard stayed the weekend at Cedars Sinai Hospital, leaving with his housekeeper Reveles on June 6. Later that day, he took to Facebook to tell fans that he was just dehydrated.
  • June 14, 2016: Richard addresses rumors of a "transition" on Facebook. As noted on the podcast, though Richard had maintained his Facebook page throughout his time out of the spotlight, his posts were impersonal, things that could have easily been written by a social media handler or a personal assistant. But when tabloids began reporting that Richard was transitioning from male to female, he wrote what appeared to be a personal post to "set the record straight."
  • Nov. 19, 2016: Slimmons shuts down. The studio, which opened in 1974, closed its doors - and Richard didn't even show up to say goodbye. He wrote a note ("A Loving Goodbye to Slimmons") to his students, which the instructor read aloud to the class. Later, it was posted to Facebook.
  • Feb. 15, 2017: Missing Richard Simmons premieres. Taberski podcast began, reigniting the public's interest in Richard.
  • March 10, 2017: Police confirm that they've checked on Richard. Amidst growing public concern, police paid a visit to Richard's estate for a routine welfare check. They reported that he was fine, and was "just taking some time for himself."

There continue to be regular posts on Richard's Facebook. He even posted a photo of People's April 3 issue, which features him on the cover, calling it "beautiful."

Vin Diesel Gets Emotional While Paying Tribute to "Angel" Paul Walker

Vin Diesel attended CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Wednesday to treat fans to an early screening of his upcoming film, The Fate of the Furious, but what they didn't know was that they'd also be treated to an emotional speech from the actor. The movie is the first one from The Fast and the Furious franchise that Paul Walker was not a part of, but Vin revealed that the late actor wanted to do an eighth film, which is the main reason the cast moved forward with it. "It was Paul Walker who promised eight. It played over and over again in my brain," he told the audience. "Part of Paul's legacy lives through every frame that we shoot. You are reminded of this angel that was so integral to this concept of brotherhood for our millennium. There's something beautiful about that. There's something celebratory about that."

Vin then reportedly teared up before stating, "I always feel like he's looking down on us, so we didn't want to let him down." The Fate of the Furious hits theaters on April 14, and the soundtrack already sounds like our Summer playlist.

All of Sofia Vergara's Best Red Carpet Looks Have This Detail in Common

Sofia Vergara knows when she's found a good thing, and she sticks with it. The Modern Family actress has a signature red carpet style she's been loyal to for years - we've found evidence of her love for this silhouette dating back to 2012. Her beloved fashion pick: the mermaid gown, tight around her waist, then loose at the bottom around her legs and feet.

It should be pretty obvious why Sofia loves to wear this type of dress to award shows. The formfitting bodice highlights her curves and tiny waist, while the loose skirt allows her to walk the red carpet without any trouble. It truly is the best of both worlds. The 1 Move Trainers Always Use For a Lifted, Bodacious Booty

Tone It Up's Karena and Katrina listed the bridge as one of their top three best booty exercises of all time. Celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak told us bridge with a ball is one of his go-to moves for booty shaping. Equinox's "Best Butt Ever" trainer Caroline Jordan also listed hip bridges as one of her three favorites for sculpting a powerful butt.

The consensus? Trainers love bridge - and you should too. It's a wonder move for your glutes, and powerful, strong glutes can create better posture, alleviate lower back pain, combat the effects of sitting all day, and prevent injury with other physical activities like running. Plus, in addition to all the wonderful physiological effects of a healthy booty, you'll get a nice confidence boost from rounding out your rear (no equipment required!).

Here's a refresher on how to do a bridge:

  • On your mat, lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Be sure and keep your feet underneath your knees, not in front. Plant your palms by each side, face down.
  • Raise your hips up to the ceiling, tensing your abs and squeezing your butt as you do. You should be making a long diagonal line with your body, from shoulders to knees.
  • Hold for a few seconds, making sure your spine doesn't round and your hips don't sag. Keep your abs and butt muscles engaged.
  • Lower down to the ground, then repeat for 10 to 15 reps.

Want to take things to the next level? When you've mastered bridge, try a single-leg bridge for an isometric challenge.

Are You Ready For a New York Adventure?

Jennifer Lawrence Is "Mesmerized" by Darren Aronofsky's "Talent and Brains"

Jennifer Lawrence and director Darren Aronofsky first sparked dating rumors in October 2016, and the pair appears to still be going strong. Despite their 22-year age difference (Jennifer is 26 and Darren is 48), sources close to the couple reveal they have very similar priorities. "Jennifer is comfortable with an older guy because she is mature and focused," a source told People. "Jen has been mesmerized by his talent and brains since she started working with him. They are very sweet together and seem happy. They hold hands. They keep to themselves and don't seem to want a lot of attention."

Jennifer and Darren have been fairly private about their romance, careful not to talk about each other in interviews or make too many public appearances, but they were spotted on a casual stroll around Central Park in NYC at the beginning of the year. Their upcoming film, Mother, doesn't hit theaters until October, but hopefully we'll see more of them before then.

Is This Drake Song a Sad Love Letter to Serena Williams?

Drake released his latest project More Life this month, and in addition to calling out (and sampling) his ex-lover Jennifer Lopez on separate tracks, another song on the album seems to reference another of his famous former flames. The track "Nothings Into Somethings" could very easily be about tennis great Serena Williams, who he has dated on and off over the years. Their most recent on status was back in 2015, and while it isn't clear when the couple called it quits, Serena announced her engagement to Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian in December.

In the song, Drake croons, "I'm still posted up where you first found me / Did I just read that you just got engaged on me? / I heard from your friend, you couldn't even tell me / Or better yet, wait on me." As a pretty big Drake fan, I can tell you that he quite often asks his exes why they moved on from him, as if he expected them to sit around, cry, and "call him on his cell phone" until he's ready to get serious (I can also tell you this bugs me). But he seems especially bummed that he had to read about this woman's (Serena's?) engagement in the news rather than via his hotline. He goes on: "Least, do I get an invitation or something? / A statement or something? / Ask about that, you would say it was nothing / But here's another nothing that you made into something." Again, it certainly sounds like Drake is reeling from the fact that a woman he loved (Serena?) went and got engaged on him and is perhaps also recalling a time that she told him something (their romance?) was "nothing."

The Simple Reason Prince William Doesn't Wear a Wedding Ring

When Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton in 2010, he gave her the stunning 12-carat oval blue Ceylon sapphire ring that his late mother, Princess Diana, wore during her marriage to Prince Charles. And when the two tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in London in 2011, Kate added a gold band to sit perfectly next to her sparkler. But despite the duchess of Cambridge's new jewelry, there was no big exchanging of rings, because Prince William never got one. The reason? It's just not his style. Shortly before the couple's big day, the palace released a statement about his decision to ditch tradition and go ringless, saying, "It is simply down to personal preference. It was something the couple discussed but Prince William isn't one for jewelry." Seeing as how William and Kate are one of the most famous couples on the planet, they would be hard-pressed to find someone who wasn't aware of their sweet romance. So there you have it.

Grey's Anatomy: Every Song From Season 13 That You Can't Stop Listening To

When it comes to TV show soundtracks, few can compete with Grey's Anatomy (although Big Little Lies has been giving it a go, we admit). For over a decade, Shonda Rhimes's medical drama has never failed to deliver some phenomenally heartbreaking songs to go along with each gut-wrenching scene, and the current season is no different. If you've found yourself feverishly searching for every song that's been featured in season 13 - whether it's one of the sad ones or so upbeat you can dance to it - get ready to fall in love with this playlist.

Big Little Lies: Let's Theorize Who's Dead and Whodunnit

Big Little Lies is HBO's latest buzzy series, and it deserves the attention: it is based on the bestselling novel by Liane Moriarty and has a star-studded cast, including Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Zoë Kravitz, and Laura Dern. Not only is the production quality predictably excellent (this is HBO, after all), but another reason we're obsessed is the show's murder mystery.

So obviously, there's only one thing to do while we wait for the finale: theorize on who did it and who's dead. Of course, the book Big Little Lies has been out since 2014, so book readers already know the answer, but for those of us who are only watching the show, let's break down some theories! We're keeping in mind the ominous words of the detective in the pilot: "Nobody has been ruled out."

The Infuriating Reason a Single Mom Was Banned From Her Kid's Father-Daughter Dance

It was supposed to be a night of dancing and quality time for Georgia mom Amy Peterson and her daughter, Gracie. But one dismissive phone call quickly shattered those plans, and the reasoning will break your heart.

For months, 6-year-old Gracie had been looking forward to attending her elementary school's father-daughter dance. Since she doesn't have a father figure in her life, her mother planned to attend the event instead, and even filed paperwork with the school a month in advance to do so. "To me, I've identified myself as her father and her mother because that's what I've done for six years," Peterson told Channel 2.

Plus, she had the funny idea to dress up like a man for the occasion - fake facial hair, bowtie, and all. "She was okay with it. She was excited that her friends were going to get to see this," she said.

On the night of the dance, just hours before it began - and after they finished getting all dolled up - their excitement morphed into sadness and confusion. Gracie's school principal called her mother and informed her that she was no longer able to attend the event, even though she had filled out a form about it one month prior. "She said, 'No. I forbid you to come and if you show up we will turn you away,'" Peterson explained to WSB-TV.

Naturally, Peterson was furious and didn't know how to tell Gracie the news. "How do you explain that to a 6-year-old? You can't go to a dance because you don't have a male role model in your life," she said. "I think they handled it poorly ... Why is she being punished because she doesn't have a dad?" And it looks like the proper explanation never really came for Peterson, as the school district responded with a rather unsatisfying apology, along with a refund for the dance tickets.

The district explained that there are other opportunities for mothers to attend school functions, such as the mother-son dance and a sweetheart dance, but that this particular one was intended for fathers (or any family or friend father-figure). "The school is cognizant that different dynamics exist across households in our school system," the school district said in an official response reported by WSB-TV. "There are multiple parent engagement events and opportunities to participate with their kids annually at this school in an effort to make that connection and build school spirit."

Sure, the schools are "cognizant" of these different family dynamics, but it doesn't seem like they're tolerant of and willing to celebrate them.

After Being Called "Fat," This 8-Year-Old Made a Fitness Plan With a Hilarious Twist

An 8-year-old girl in Texas just learned a powerful lesson in self-love, and it's going totally viral for all the right reasons.

For Briseyda Ponce, running is usually part of her daily routine, and last week, her younger cousin, Allysson Baires, asked to join. And so the two ventured outdoors for some afternoon exercise. While the cousins were running, Allyson told 17-year-old Briseyda the real reason she wanted to get in a workout that day: some of her school classmates, including her crush, Hector, called her fat.

When Allysson grew tried from the run, she did the most relatable thing ever and pulled out a mid-run treat - a Rice Krispie Treat, to be exact. We're not even sure where she was stashing her snack while working out, but we do know that this is downright hilarious. Naturally, Brisyeda documented her cousin's hysterical move, and it quickly went viral on Twitter.

During their run, Briseyda set the record straight with what Allysson's fitness motivation should really be. "I tried to make her understand that beauty is within," she told POPSUGAR. "No one's opinion should matter. If she's happy there's nothing wrong!" The older cousin also had some advice for any other kids who have been similarly mocked in school. "They should never let anyone's opinion change how they see themselves. As long as they are happy nothing should matter, but if it reaches a point they feel things have escalated they should always let a teacher, parent, or adult [know]," she said.

But this wasn't the only support the 8-year-old received, as dozens of Twitter users responded to her story with encouraging words of wisdom.

Hector, you may want to sleep with one eye open . . . and get some new glasses because Allysson is perfect just the way she is!

41 Pictures of Heath and Michelle That Will Break Your Heart All Over Again

The love story of Michelle Williams and Heath Ledger is a heartbreaking but achingly romantic one. After meeting on the set of the Oscar-nominated film Brokeback Mountain in 2004, the pair fell in love, moved in, and had a child together. They broke up in 2007, and whether they would have found their way back to one another we'll never know, as Heath Ledger abruptly died in 2008. These days, Michelle occasionally opens up about Heath, their love, and her loss - and as sad as it is, she always has beautiful things to share.

When they were together, these two stepped out hand-in-hand and seemed to barely take their eyes off of each other. The look of love in their eyes is one for the history books, so please enjoy this little snapshot of a real-life Hollywood romance that was grander than anything you've seen on screen.
