Dr. Harvey Karp Thinks He Knows What May Lead to Autism in Some Children
In the five years since the link between autism and vaccines was proven to be based on fraudulent data, study after study has proven that vaccines are not to blame for autism spectrum disorders. But what they haven't done is explain what does cause the disorders and why the number of children diagnosed each year is skyrocketing.
At a recent Healthy Child Healthy World and Environmental Working Group luncheon designed to raise awareness about pollutants in our food and environment, Dr. Harvey Karp - the pediatrician probably best known for his wildly popular The Happiest Baby series of parenting guides - turned to the topic on many parents minds and addressed concerns about autism.
He said:
"Something has changed and we all know about all this discussion about immunizations and is it mercury in immunizations, all this kind of stuff. Doesn't seem so. Lots of studies [are] being done now, as much as you can know something in science, [and] we know that immunizations are really good and they're not associated with autism.
So the question is: well then what is going on? And there's two explanations currently. One is that we're just calling things autism that we didn't used to call autism - there's a shift in diagnosis. That clearly has happened; it might be attributed, maybe, to half of the cases. But, it seems that there's another half of cases that never existed before, that are new and that shouldn't be happening. And so, we have to ask ourselves why.
And one theory, is it's an exposure to a certain class of chemicals that are called endocrine disrupting chemicals . . . It turns out that there are many different types of chemicals that are endocrine disrupting chemicals that are in plasticized plastic. You've heard of BPA, that's an endocrine disrupting chemical. BPA was first created to be an estrogen. Then they found they could put it into plastics. Every single one of you have BPA in your bodies just from all the exposure you have. You have phthalates, which are plastic parts, as well which are in every new car...things like that. All of those have a hormonal effect and there are dozens of others; all different classes. The weird thing is that hormones are signalers, they tell cells 'Do this, don't do that' and what can happen is these hormonally active chemicals make it into the brains of young babies or even before birth and shift the brain's development.
The reason I think that this could be related to autism is because it's something that isn't split evenly between boys and girls. Boys get more autism, boys get 4 times more autism, they're diagnosed 9 times more with Asperger's Syndrome. So it could be that if we just pushed it a little bit further, that may be the reason that we're seeing this increase. I don't know the answer, but I do know that we have to find the answer. Scientists are looking for that now, but we need to do more research on it."
So just what is BPA and why did it seep into our kids' brains?
According to the EWG, it was invented 120 years ago and was most recently used to manufacture hard plastic water bottles, baby bottles, and epoxy linings of metal food cans. "BPA can mimic the hormone estrogen in the body and disrupt the endocrine system, a danger to developing humans and animals." In 2009, studies showing that BPA was leaching out of baby bottles and infant formula cans and into humans pressured leading bottle manufacturers to stop using the chemicals in their manufacturing processes, and over the next year, most states banned the use of BPA in children's products, but it is still used in many canned foods. But according to Dr. Karp, BPA's replacement, BPS, may be just as dangerous. A recent study shows that "in utero exposure to BPS might lead to neurodevelopmental disorders later in life" and "that male hormones might be particularly disturbed by this abnormal cell development."
So what's a parent to do?
BPS is not clearly marked on products and can actually be found in BPA-free products. According to The Soft Landing, parents will want to:
- Steer clear of any plastic containers marked with #7. These BPA-free products appear to be made with BPS.
- Eat as many fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables as possible. Cans used for canned fruits and veggies can be lined in BPA and BPS.
- Choose silicone storage products. They're BPA and BPS free.
- Sign up for EWG's alerts that will keep you up to date on all the latest studies and findings.
Is This Drake Song a Sad Love Letter to Serena Williams?
Drake released his latest project More Life this month, and in addition to calling out (and sampling) his ex-lover Jennifer Lopez on separate tracks, another song on the album seems to reference another of his famous former flames. The track "Nothings Into Somethings" could very easily be about tennis great Serena Williams, who he has dated on and off over the years. Their most recent on status was back in 2015, and while it isn't clear when the couple called it quits, Serena announced her engagement to Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian in December.
In the song, Drake croons, "I'm still posted up where you first found me / Did I just read that you just got engaged on me? / I heard from your friend, you couldn't even tell me / Or better yet, wait on me." As a pretty big Drake fan, I can tell you that he quite often asks his exes why they moved on from him, as if he expected them to sit around, cry, and "call him on his cell phone" until he's ready to get serious (I can also tell you this bugs me). But he seems especially bummed that he had to read about this woman's (Serena's?) engagement in the news rather than via his hotline. He goes on: "Least, do I get an invitation or something? / A statement or something? / Ask about that, you would say it was nothing / But here's another nothing that you made into something." Again, it certainly sounds like Drake is reeling from the fact that a woman he loved (Serena?) went and got engaged on him and is perhaps also recalling a time that she told him something (their romance?) was "nothing."

Why Sasha Will Probably Die in The Walking Dead's Season Finale
Can you believe we made it through another season of The Walking Dead? This Sunday marks the seventh season finale of the show, and we've already gotten a handful of details about the episode: Lauren Cohan teased a "heartbreaking" hour, and director Greg Nicotero hinted at an "emotional" aspect, but there's something else. Showrunner Scott Gimple recently insinuated that death is coming as well, and we think we know who's doomed.
The most obvious suspect is Sasha. She's in captivity at the Savior compound, and she won't help Negan defeat Rick. Then there's the fact that Eugene has given her one of his poison pills. At this point, the question isn't whether we're going to lose Sasha, it's when. Will she take the pill immediately, or will she wait until the moment it could affect Negan the most? Is there a chance she'll attempt to kill Negan instead, and that he'll murder her in retaliation? There's also a slim chance Sasha won't die in the finale, which brings us to an even more troubling point: it could be someone else.
What will come of the second poison pill Eugene made? There's a slim chance Eugene could attempt to give it to Negan himself, even if recent experience tells us he likes being with the Saviors. There are other characters who might die as well, though. Maybe Negan will find out Dwight has been lying to him and deliver the ultimate punishment. Maybe the Savior War will officially begin in earnest, meaning any number of characters could die. The bottom line is, we should all prepare to start mourning Sasha . . . and someone else as well.
The Mummy Trailer Will Leave You With More Than a Few Nightmares
You might remember the first few Mummy films as being a touch lighthearted thanks to the easy rapport between Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, but it looks like the latest installment in the franchise is getting one terrifying facelift. Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis, Russell Crowe, and Courtney B. Vance star in the reboot about a malevolent ancient princess who is awakened from her tomb, wreaking havoc and terror across the world. The new mummy in question - played by Kingsman: The Secret Service's Sofia Boutella - is straight out of our nightmares. A full length trailer has been released, and along with being just as scary as the teaser, it hints that Cruise's character might be something other than human. The Mummy hits theaters on June 9.
The Chilling Trailer For Annabelle: Creation Is Here to Ruin Your Day
We were hoping to have a nice, peaceful day, but much like a demon-possessed doll who wants to ruin the lives of the people around her, Warner Bros. went ahead and released a trailer for Annabelle: Creation, a movie that will surely haunt us all well into old age. To its credit, the sequel to 2014's dull spinoff of The Conjuring seems to be trying to freshen up Annabelle a bit; instead of another movie about the evil doll terrorizing a new family, Annabelle 2 - due out May 19 - is an origin story. Like we said: a nice, peaceful day.
If You Prefer Emily Ratajkowski's Bikinis, You Obviously Haven't Seen Her Baywatch Suit
Don't get us wrong, Emily Ratajkowski looks good in a two-piece. In fact, the supermodel's come up with so many ideas for mixing and matching her bikinis, we can barely keep up. But while vacationing with her friends Bella Hadid, Elsa Hosk, Hannah Ferguson, Lais Ribeiro, Hailey Baldwin, and Rose Bertram in the Bahamas, Emily pulled a style switch-up.
Her red Solid & Striped design was fitted and sleek, with not a cutout in sight, and the plunging neckline was a touch sexy - very simple, very effortless, very Baywatch. Emily completed her look with a dainty chain necklace, allowing us full focus on her one-piece. While clearly, most of her pals prefer classic tops and bottoms, Emily is making a case for coverage at the beach. Read on for a look, then shop similar silhouettes for yourself.
25 Brides Who Went Modest on Their Wedding Day - and Completely Took Our Breath Away
When we first spotted Nicky Hilton on her wedding day, our jaws nearly fell to the ground. Gone was the revealing white number she wore mere days before, when she accidentally flashed a crowd at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. And in its place? A long, lacy Valentino gown, which one could perfectly describe as "classic" and, above all, "modest."
All of a sudden, our minds went wild. We knew Nicky wasn't the only bride who could pull off this style, so we did a little Insta digging - and found a trove of #ModestBride inspiration.
Read on to see why you might want to consider ditching those strapless options and covering up for your nuptials. These ladies did - and they all looked stunning.
This Teen's "Body Hair Positivity" Photos Unleashed a Massive Brawl About Armpits
No matter how many times we try to disrupt the jarring double standards for men and woman, people are still inexplicably disgusted by the sight and idea of body hair on women. And now, we're here again, riled up over the fact that the internet simply cannot handle a woman with armpit hair. Meet Lalonie, a 17-year-old art student, who after flaunting her body hair in a set of now-viral photos, set Twitter on fire (and unfortunately not because her makeup is so damn stunning).
"Body hair positivity post bc I'd never let misogynistic opinions dictate what I do with my body," she wrote alongside the photos, seen above. Instantly, thousands of people replied to Lalonie, some slamming her as "disgusting" and "dirty," and others praising her for embracing her natural body hair so confidently.
All opinions aside, there is one very obvious similarity between all of the comments: people have very strong feelings, both positive and negative, about body hair on women. All she did was post photos of her natural body hair - something men can do freely without judgment - yet Lalonie received negative backlash for hers. The misogyny is real, and it's hairy.
If her empowering message wasn't enough, can we just appreciate the fact that her armpit hair has been dyed pink and the hair on her stomach is sprinkled with glitter?! Technicolor armpits are in, guys.
Keep reading to see how the drama surrounding Lalonie's photos unraveled on Twitter.
Why I Held My Son Up by One Leg at Target
It had to be done. I had no other choice.
Let me explain why I had to hold my son up by one leg in the middle of Target . . .
Just yesterday I found myself at Target. I had somehow managed to find a shopping cart that didn't have a squeaky wheel. I was so proud of myself. And because it didn't squeal like an upset child the whole way down the aisle, I had high hopes for my little shopping trip.
Owen sat sweetly in the front of the cart as I began to look at all of the different cards and party supplies. As I passed red balloons and bright green and blue gift bags, I noticed the bright fluorescent lights and elevator-sounding music that was playing. Owen didn't seem to notice. He was too busy playing with his little black seat belt. I turned my attention back to the party supplies. And for a whole minute I peacefully enjoyed all the different party options.
Owen was being quiet. That should have been my first clue.
If you are a mother, then you know that when there is silence, a mother's attention is needed. But by the time my eyes found Owen, he was escaping from his seat like a little wiggle worm. In a split second, he was standing up in the front of the cart, backward, and trying to break free from his seat belt! When I started to grab him, I had to unbuckle him in order to help him not be stuck.
If Owen could talk, I know he would have yelled, "Freedom!" Because the moment I unfastened his seat belt, he jumped. He dove toward the back of the cart head first as he tried to make his escape.
I literally caught him by one leg.
It had to be done. I had no other choice. I had to grab my son by one leg and hold him up midair. There I was, holding my 9-month-old upside down in the middle of Target.
Half snickering to myself, the rhyme, "Catch a tiger by his toe . . . " came to mind. But before I burst into laughter, I started freaking out. What if someone saw me? I could just imagine someone speaking over the intercom, "Crazy mom on aisle three! Get her!"
Thankfully no one saw our little stunt.

The Lowdown on What Happens to Sasha in the Walking Dead Comics
Spoilers for the Walking Dead comics below!
The last few episodes of The Walking Dead have made it abundantly clear that Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) is in grave danger. After her mind-bogglingly stupid decision to try to barrel into the compound of Negan's Saviors solo went south, she was quickly captured by the terrifying leader. Will she make it out of The Sanctuary alive in the seventh season finale? Only time will tell, but until then, there's one place we can turn to to unearth a little bit more about the future of her character: the comics.
You might be surprised to know that Sasha, like Daryl, doesn't actually exist in the show's source material. Sasha's story does, however, closely align with the actions of Holly (a character of the same name briefly popped up in the show but is no more), as well as a few other minor characters. We first get a glimpse at references to TV Sasha with the character of Tyreese. He's her brother on the show, but in the comics, Tyreese has a daughter instead of a sister, and he's extremely protective of her. Unfortunately, she dies shortly after they arrive at the prison. Parallels have also been drawn between Sasha and Andrea, since the comic version of Andrea becomes an adept sharpshooter. For the most part, though, TV Sasha's trajectory mirrors Holly's story.
Just like Sasha, Holly gets romantically involved with the ill-fated Sgt. Abraham Ford, igniting a love triangle between her, the former sergeant, and a burned Rosita. Although Abraham dies from an arrow through the eye socket in the comics (aka the way Denise dies in the show) instead of being murdered by Negan, Sasha and Holly both find themselves mentally unstable in the wake of his death. Holly decides the only way she can now truly help the group is if she sacrifices herself for them and takes on Negan herself. She slams a bus through the gates of The Sanctuary in hopes that zombies will come pouring in through the hole and she'll die doing something worthwhile.
Holly survives, but because this is The Walking Dead and no one is allowed to be happy, she's almost instantly captured by Negan. To make matters worse, he's obviously not keen on the idea of letting her just walk out of The Sanctuary scot-free. After alerting Rick and the rest of Alexandria that he's holding Holly prisoner, Negan arranges a trade with the group. He returns Holly to her friends with a bag over her head, and Denise (who's still alive at this point in the comics) lifts it off her face. She realizes too late that Holly has been turned into a walker and gets bitten by her former friend. They both die in the ensuing struggle.

Her fate seems all but sealed, right? Well, as fans of the show can attest, there have been instances where characters have survived longer than their comic-book counterparts, so there might be hope for Sasha after all. Still, it's hard to deny how closely Sasha has been walking Holly's path of late. With the war between Rick and Negan on the horizon, only one thing is for certain: there's going to be a lot of carnage in our future.
The Clothes on Big Little Lies Are Also Full of Secrets
Aside from an unbeatable soundtrack, here's one more thing the Big Little Lies HBO series has that the book doesn't: a very talented costume designer, Alix Friedberg, who's behind the wardrobe of every character on the show. Friedberg depicts so much about the women of Monterey, CA through their outfits alone. Inspired by her own life as a mother as well as the story she's helping to tell, Friedberg understands the importance of her role: "My job is to give an actor the second skin they need to become another person," she told W Magazine.
Friedberg even goes as far as to assign Madeline, Celeste, Renata, Jane, and Bonnie - played by Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, and Zoe Kravitz respectively - favorite fashion labels, proving she's got a true grasp on each lady's image. Scroll for a full breakdown, along with our own take on the clothes that bring these strong spirited women to life on screen.
7 Universal Styling Tricks I Didn't Learn Until I Was Pregnant
As a fashion editor, clothes make up a big chunk of my life. Not only do I wear them every day (you're welcome), but I've become something of an expert on them. So when I got pregnant, I didn't expect there'd be much I'd learn about clothes other than which type of onesie is better for a diaper change. (Hint: nothing will make a diaper change better.)
But then it happened: the day I no longer fit into the majority of my closet, when I was forced to rethink the simple task of getting dressed. And it's put a lot of my previous notions about what to wear and how to wear it into question.
From recycling dresses and trying out trends to solving one of my longest-running fashion frustrations, I wish I'd learned these tricks before, and I'm certainly going to remember them after I ditch this baby bump. In fact, thanks to my nine months of research, you won't have to get knocked up to reap the benefits. Here are seven universal lessons on style that you can learn from this pregnant lady.
Archie and Jughead Have Nothing on KJ Apa and Cole Sprouse's Bromance
We've been obsessed with Riverdale ever since it premiered in January, but we've also been obsessed with the incredible cast. It's been easy to develop hard-core crushes on KJ Apa and Cole Sprouse, but it's their bromance that really has us head over heels. The two are constantly showing off their quirky relationship by taking photos together on and off set, and they even took a road trip after they wrapped up filming for season one. Let's be honest, their characters Archie and Jughead have nothing on their real-life friendship.

Dressed in a form-fitting indigo gown, Beyoncé proudly flaunted her growing belly as she struck a handful of poses in front of a white door. Blue Ivy Carter also stars in one of the shots, and is shown hugging her mom's stomach with her face away from the camera.
Beyoncé has been staying out of the spotlight due to doctor's orders, and has since been spending lots of time with her family. In addition to hitting up the NBA All-Star Game with Jay Z and Blue, Beyoncé and Jay Z enjoyed a sweet date night during Oscars weekend before hitting up the Beauty and the Beast premiere.

Maxine Waters Shuts Down Bill O'Reilly's Comments About Her Hair in Epic Clapback
Internet citizens were up in arms this past Tuesday when Fox News pundit Bill O'Reilly mocked esteemed Congresswoman Maxine Waters's hair. During Fox & Friends, O'Reilly was shown a clip of Waters speaking on the House floor, only to remark, "I didn't hear a word she said. I was looking at the James Brown wig." While two of the cohosts of the show joined in on the tasteless joke, the third, Ainsley Earnhardt, found the comment disrespectful.
"You can't go after a woman's looks," she said to O'Reilly. He has since apologized for the racially charged quip, calling his comment "dumb" and noting that he respects Waters for being "sincere in her beliefs."
However, the representative for California's 43rd district proved in an appearance on MSNBC's All in With Chris Hayes that not only is she unfazed by the hateful comment, but she had a epic retort of her own.
"I am a strong black woman, and I cannot be intimidated," she said confidently. "I'd like to say to women out there everywhere: don't allow these right-wing talking heads, these dishonorable people, to intimidate you or scare you." She added, "Be who you are, do what you do, and let us get on with discussing the real issues of this country."
She went on to say that Bill O'Reilly (as well as former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes) has "no credibility," bringing up his "checkered past" and sexual harassment settlements.
Waters finished her empowering statement with a promise that she's not done standing up for what's right. "We know that when a woman stands up and speaks truth to power, there will be attempts to be put down," she said. "I'm not going to be put down, I'm not going to go anywhere, I'm going to stay on the issues."
Hillary Clinton acknowledged the controversy in her most recent speech, explaining how frequently women of color have a "lifetime of practice" dealing with indignities such as these. While Waters obviously shouldn't have to be putting up with racist remarks about her looks at all, she proves time and time again that she can shut them down and redirect the conversation back to politics.
In recent months, Waters has become not just a heroine but practically a beloved meme for her brusque honesty and unguarded facial expressions. We look forward to seeing how she continues to smash the patriarchy. Watch her phenomenal response in full below.

A Mom Never Expected This When Her Son With Autism Had a Public Meltdown
Lauren Nordberg knew that it wasn't going to be the easiest day. Her son had a dentist appointment, and since 6-year-old Elliot has autism, Lauren spent a lot of time prepping him for the visit.
As a reward, this Washington mom promised the little boy that they could get pancakes at his favorite spot on the way home. Unfortunately, it was a holiday weekend and the restaurant was more crowded than usual, so the pair couldn't sit at their favorite table.
"I should have known better than to take him out for lunch after a dentist appointment, but he was so excited for pancakes and I promised so there was no turning back," Lauren wrote on Facebook.
As soon as they ordered their food, Elliot began having a major meltdown complete with screaming and yelling. Fellow diners started giving them looks, so Lauren decided to take Elliot outside for a minute to calm down until the food was served. "You can see them making comments," Lauren said. "I've heard comments and snide remarks before like, 'He should show mom more respect.' I've had people tell me I should spank him."
Shortly after they returned for their meals, Elliot became upset again. Lauren decided just to ask for the bill so they could pay before things got any worse. But instead of bringing the check, the restaurant manager let them know that someone else had already paid their bill and presented her with this note from a complete stranger:
Have a great day! You are doing a wonderful job! God bless. From a mother who knows.
Both Lauren and the manager cried immediately at the kind gesture, and she's thankful to know that there is some good in this world. "Life with autism is already hard enough as it is," she said. "Just a little understanding goes a long way."
Chris Pine Cut Off All His Hair, and We're Kind of Crushed
Chris Pine attended CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Wednesday to help promote the upcoming Wonder Woman film, in which he stars as Gal Gadot's onscreen love interest, Steve Trevor. This would have been a totally normal appearance if not for the fact that Chris showed up with a completely shaved head and face, meaning we no longer have his slicked-back 'do and salt and pepper beard to swoon over. He's definitely still Crush Pine in my eyes (that's just a little nickname I've given him), but as a fan of facial hair, I'm admittedly bummed. Thoughts on Chris's new look?

American Women Revealed How Much They Spend on Beauty - and the Amount Will Blow Your Mind
If you've been feeling a bit guilty lately about excessive beauty spending, you might want to sit down for this one. Beauty retailer SkinStore recently conducted a survey on the spending habits of American women when it comes to makeup and skin care. The brand found that the average woman spends over $300,000 in their lifetime on face products.
As it turns out, though, that's not the only shocking piece of information from the survey (but realizing our favorite swag could cost even more than the typical cost of medical school is kind of outrageous!). We discovered the cost breakdown of the average face adds up to about $8 per day, with many using up to 16 products every morning.
The states that are racking up major bills on beauty are predominately located on the East Coast, with New Yorkers and Connecticut-based babes having the most expensive faces at $11 daily. New Yorkers are also the slowest to apply their products in the morning, spending up to 21 minutes in front of the mirror. On the flip side, Californians spend three minutes max on their beauty routine (ladies, please share your speedy secrets!).
Keep reading below to discover more fascinating facts about American beauty routines, and start budgeting. Considering the price of your look, you might want to skip that fancy morning coffee.

Everything We Know About Santa Clarita Diet Season 2
Netflix has heard your pleas, and it has renewed Santa Clarita Diet for a second season! Drew Barrymore's comedy had us hooked from the moment we realized she was playing a member of the undead. Yes, it's one of the most disgusting shows of the year, but it's also very funny. The zombie genre needed a little charm, anyway! While we wait on more information, check out everything we know so far, including the world's grossest teaser.
The Announcement
The Plot
No details have been released about the plot, but season one ends on a few cliffhangers: Joel is arrested and placed on a psychiatric hold, a feral Sheila is chained up in the basement (for her own safety), and Abby and goofy neighbor Eric seem to be the family's last hope of getting a cure.
The show's creator, Victor Fresco, spoke to Entertainment Weekly after the first season premiered, confirming that Sheila is not going to suddenly get better: "She's going to always be undead. She's not going to grow her toe back, and her eye's not going to regenerate, and so the object is to stop symptoms before they get worse." Unfortunately, without the Serbian bile (gross), Sheila seems doomed. So, what will season two touch on? "With any family, crazy situations can be introduced any day," Fresco said. "The strength of the family will determine how they react to those situations, which is where we'll find our characters."
The Timeline
Netflix hasn't set a premiere date for season two, but production will begin over the Summer.

Meet the First Lady With Better Style Than Michelle Obama and Jackie Kennedy Combined
Recently, our favorite royals have been overshadowed by a mysterious new style star: Argentina's First Lady Juliana Awada. Since her husband, President Mauricio Macri, took office in December 2015, the 42-year-old mother of two (who is of Lebanese and Syrian descent) has been making waves with her boho-chic fashion choices.
There's just something about the way Juliana chooses her looks that makes us want to pay attention. She can look totally polished in Valentino shoes and a coat with fur details but also carry pieces that belong at a music festival (chill palazzo pants, short skater dresses, printed minis). She's already taught us so much, and it's time you pick up a few tricks by taking a look at all the reasons we admire her style.

You'll Be Obsessed With Swatches of the Jeffree Star x Manny MUA Collaboration
After some major anticipation, we've finally got the official scoop on the Jeffree Star x Manny MUA launch, and boy, is it good! In a video on Manny's channel, the two got together for a reveal. We knew that the collab would include some liquid lipsticks and a highlighter, but we know what the shades inside are.
As you know, the packaging (including the boxes, compact, and tube) is black, and this is a first for Jeffree's range. The accent is holographic, which is so hot right now. We're particularly enamored that both Jeffree and Manny's signature logos - a star and a moon, respectively - are on every aspect of the products, including the sticker on the back of the highlighter compact and pressed into the powder itself.
The collection officially launches at 10 a.m. PT on April 8, and you'll be able to purchase all three items in a bundle for $50. However, if you'd rather buy items one piece at a time, the liquid lipsticks will cost $18 and the Skin Frost will be $29. In another first, Jeffree is allowing the use of a discount code on his website. Enter MANNYMUA at checkout and you'll be able to get 10 percent off individual items from the collaboration.
Watch the video above to see the products in action, then keep reading to see the products themselves and swatches of each shade.
Nobody Loves Costco More Than This 5-Year-Old Girl, and Her Epic Birthday Party Proves it!
5-year-old Kimber Walker from North Carolina insisted on having a Costco-themed birthday party for two years straight until her mother finally gave him. "She loves Costco so much. She loves the pizza and the samples," her mother, Niki Walker, told POPSUGAR. After going through a lot of medical complications last year, Niki says she felt Kimber deserved to have her Costco wish come true.
To bring her daughter's birthday party to life, Niki set up a mini Costco shop in their living space, complete with a cash register and printed dollar bills with Kimber's face on it. Kimber's epic Costco party also had sample stations for guests to do their food test tasting which included Costco pizza and hotdogs, of course.
On her special day, Kimber was declared Employee of the Month and received a birthday gift from her local Costco store: her very own employee badge. "She was thrilled," her mother said. "[She] showed all of the employees the day she got it."
In addition to her employee badge and being "Employee of the Month", there was a photo area set up for Kimber's birthday guests to take pictures underneath a sign that read just that. The party guests were also treated to their own "membership cards" which they got to customize while stuffing their faces with Kirkland ice cream.
Next year, Niki told us that Kimber plans to have a less unconventional birthday theme. "She's thinking about having a Peppa Pig party." We say if it's anything like this epic birthday bash, Kimber's already in for another great event. Read on to see all of the Costco-themed decor and activities Kimber got to enjoy at her epic birthday celebration.

This Mom's Important Message to Another Mom After Witnessing What Her Kids Did at a Water Park
Having to stand in line before getting the chance to go on a water slide can be difficult for kids, but patiently waiting your turn can be even harder if you have autism.
Stephanie Skaggs understood what that struggle would be like for her 5-year-old daughter, Baylee, and actively worked with the child on practicing waiting her turn. However, after witnessing what happened when her daughter was cut in line multiple times, Stephanie was left speechless - and wrote a powerful message to the other mother.
Stephanie explained that while kids jumping in line isn't usually a huge deal, it is for her daughter. Not because she has to wait longer but because of how upsetting it is for Baylee when the steps of the routine that she just learned are now out of whack. "[Coping with unexpected change] is one of the more difficult skills to practice and especially in public when people, especially other children, do not understand why she is reacting the way she does," Stephanie wrote on Facebook. "I dread it. Not what she will do but what other people will."
However, as Stephanie was bracing herself for Baylee's reaction to this drastic change in the process she was working so hard to understand, another little girl looked up at Stephanie and said, "She can go ahead of me." Stephanie was left baffled by this child's kind gesture because Baylee hadn't even had a chance to react or get upset before this little girl offered Baylee her spot. "I felt like maybe she could tell by the way I had been talking to her that she had special needs," Stephanie continued. "It was so sweet and I told her what a sweet girl she was. And we moved on."
After a day spent in the busy water park, Baylee and Stephanie found themselves in the same position - another child cut in front of Baylee and jeopardized her routine. This time, a young boy was in front and immediately offered Baylee his place before she had a chance to shed a single tear. "Again, I praised his good behavior and kindness and we went ahead, and I was struck that two different children would be so intuitive and kind," Stephanie reflected. "Like most autistic children, Baylee does not LOOK any different than any other child. And it's not really immediately obvious by her behavior either. It takes some observation and usually children their age don't realize she has autism."
Later, Stephanie spotted both of the children together and it all made sense - they were siblings and their kind actions weren't a coincidence; the same mother raised them. "When I came to you and told you about my experience with your kids and told you that they were super kids and you are doing a great job, you said 'I don't know about that.'" Stephanie wrote to their mother. "Well, mom, you are. A small gesture like theirs may not seem like much. But I promise it was."
As a parent of a child with autism, Stephanie says that the only thing she knows to expect is the worry that comes when she thinks about her daughter's future. But this mom reassured her that some children are being raised to not immediately reject someone who is different. And even if this mom doesn't realize what an amazing job she is doing and what a big deal instilling those qualities in her children is, Stephanie is determined to show her that it does matter.
"Sure your children's kindness helped in that moment to avoid a meltdown, and that is kind of a big deal for kids on the spectrum, but I will tell you what is an even bigger deal though, and that is that it gave me some HOPE!" she wrote. "When I looked at those sweet little faces, filled with pride as I praised them, it made me happy to know that more moms are raising their children the way you are!"

Jennifer Aniston's Already Wearing the Shoe of the Summer
In the Summer of 2016, Jennifer Aniston kept her Burberry wedges on repeat. She bought them in two neutral colorways, a promising move to make when you know you've found a style that's comfortable and versatile.
The actress, who always maintains effortless street style, stepped out in West Hollywood, CA, in a pair of boyfriend jeans, a fitted military jacket, and Soludos leather sandals with an espadrille platform. While these shoes are a few inches lower than her Burberry pairs, they're certainly more suitable for running errands on a relaxing afternoon.

Paris Jackson Flaunts Her Armpit Hair, and the Internet Officially Needs to Chill
There's something about armpit hair on women that no matter how many times someone debuts it, she immediately faces criticism. The latest celebrity to take on the au naturel armpit style? Paris Jackson. The 18-year-old model took to her Instagram story to proudly show off what two months of growing out her armpit hair looks like and fire back with the perfect response to the hair haters.
"I didn't realize that people were going to get so upset over my armpit hair," she said in a video. "I didn't realize that was such an issue. It is so funny. People are really mad. I wish I could post some of the responses. You can just tell how angry and infuriated these people are."
She continued talking about how proud she was of the small amount of hair she grew in two months. "I love hair, and sweat, and BO. I fucking love it," she added. "I think it's great. Some people think that it's like super disgusting, especially on girls, but every human body does it. It's natural. Get over it."
Paris also took to Twitter to reflect her IDGAF attitude, writing, "wow she grows hair like every human being on the planet, what is she doing with her life," seen below.
wow she grows hair like every human being on the planet, what is she doing with her life
- Paris-Michael K. J. (@ParisJackson) March 25, 2017
Although we support her awesome attitude to laugh off the haters, it's pretty unfortunate that no matter how many times a public figure decides to grow out her armpit hair, she faces backlash. Just like Jemima Kirke and Miley Cyrus have embraced their natural armpit hair, we're happy to see that Paris is doing the same.

Is Richard Simmons OK? A Timeline of His Mysterious Disappearing Act
Image Source: Getty / Michael Buckner
After an '80s heyday of toning tushes on tapes, Richard Simmons continued to be in the pop culture stratosphere for decades, until recently. The lively fitness guru would appear on late-night segments, would teach classes at his Beverly Hills studio, and was always ready to pose with fans for a picture. Then, in 2014, he stopped showing up for classes. He stopped talking to his friends. He no longer bounded out of his home to meet buses full of tourists - he didn't leave his home at all.
The disappearing act has become the subject of a hit podcast, Missing Richard Simmons. It's hosted by Dan Taberski, who, above all, seems genuinely concerned about a generous and caring man who he had come to think of as a friend. While we're still not exactly sure what Richard is up to or if he'll emerge any time soon, let's review what's happened in the past few years.
- Nov. 28, 2013: Richard makes his last television appearance. Richard was photographed at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, clad in a fur coat and in high spirits, posing with various floats.
Image Source: Getty / Laura Cavanaugh
- Jan. 16, 2013: Richard attends his final public event. Months later, he turned up at a fundraiser for Covered California, encouraging people to be healthy and insured.
- Feb. 15, 2014: Richard doesn't show up for class. Despite his fame and fortune (exercise tapes are a big business), Richard always turned up for his students at Slimmons Studio in Beverly Hills. Then on Feb. 15, he didn't call to cancel or alert his staff; he just didn't go.
- March 12, 2016: The New York Daily News publishes a shocking exposé. Over two years after Richard disappeared from the public eye, writer Andy Martino published a story that insinuated that Richard's housekeeper, Teresa Reveles, was now in control of his life. The damning "evidence" relied heavily on an interview with Richard's former masseuse and personal assistant, Mauro Oliveira. Oliveira also wrote a children's book about his take on the situation, which he claims involves witchcraft.
- March 13, 2016: Richard spoke to the Today show. Richard agreed to speak to Savannah Guthrie over the phone, and the interview aired the next day. In it, he says, "No one is holding me in my house as a hostage. I do what I want to do as I've always done, so people should sort of just believe what I have to say because like I'm Richard Simmons!"
- March 12, 2016: Richard also spoke to Entertainment Tonight by phone. The same night, Richard asserted that he was OK while on the phone with a producer from ET. "It's time, right now, for Richard Simmons to take care of Richard Simmons." He expressed gratitude for his fans and claimed to be writing a new book. He also brought up the fact that he was still in recovery from a knee surgery, and his other knee had started to hurt as well.
- June 3, 2016: Richard went to the hospital. Richard stayed the weekend at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, leaving with his housekeeper, Reveles, on June 6. Later that day, he took to Facebook to tell fans that he was just dehydrated.
- June 14, 2016: Richard addresses rumors of a "transition" on Facebook. As noted on the podcast, though Richard had maintained his Facebook page throughout his time out of the spotlight, his posts were impersonal, things that could have easily been written by a social media handler or a personal assistant. But when tabloids began reporting that Richard was transitioning from male to female, he wrote what appeared to be a personal post to "set the record straight."
- Nov. 19, 2016: Slimmons shuts down. The studio, which opened in 1974, closed its doors - and Richard didn't even show up to say goodbye. He wrote a note ("A Loving Goodbye to Slimmons") to his students, which the instructor read aloud to the class. Later, it was posted on Facebook.
- Feb. 15, 2017: Missing Richard Simmons premieres. Taberski's podcast began, reigniting the public's interest in Richard.
- March 10, 2017: Police confirm that they've checked on Richard. Amid growing public concern, police paid a visit to Richard's estate for a routine welfare check. They reported that he was fine and was "just taking some time for himself."
There continue to be regular posts on Richard's Facebook. He even posted a photo of People's April 3 issue, which features him on the cover, calling it "beautiful."

Ever had an eargasm? You're about to.
The other night I just couldn't fall asleep - no matter what I tried. So, I hopped onto YouTube to find videos on how to cure insomnia.
That's when I stumbled across a video of a woman practicing the art of ASMR.
She whispered slowly while she finger tapped on the cover a book. Then, she shuffled papers. The next thing I knew, my mind was lured in. I felt tingly and my eyes grew heavy.

9 Outfits That Never Go Out of Style
With every runway and every new trend, I'm less enthused with what's in my own closet. It's more than an occupational hazard, and a common sentiment many women share: how to make our wardrobes functional and stylish each day so that we're never the victims of "I have nothing to wear" syndrome again. The answer I'm finding isn't always in stocking your closet with new stuff but in remembering the value of great essentials - and how to work them time and time again. So I'm going back to basics with nine timeless outfits you can rework and rewear any way you like. It starts here with a few easy formulas; just add and subtract to make them your own.

10 Bomber Jackets That Will Show Off Your Personality This Spring
Up until a couple of years ago, leather jackets were my go-to for Spring. But recently, I find myself reaching for a bomber jacket (though my beloved leather jackets still make regular appearances). In fact, just the other day, a fellow POPSUGAR editor pointed out my fondness for this lightweight jacket - needless to say, she wasn't far off.
There are a couple of reasons that bomber jackets have been taking the reins from other classic outerwear pieces. For starters, they are perfect for those in-between months when the weather flip-flops on you. They're easy to throw on when it gets chilly and light enough to remove when the weather suddenly becomes warm. You can even accomplish a street style look by throwing one over your shoulders or letting the sleeves slip off (aka the fashion way to wear it). Also, like a leather jacket, these bad boys are an easy way to up your cool factor on even the simplest of outfits.
Now that we've covered the reasons you need one in your closet, here's what you should be looking for when buying one. As with any trend, it's important to stand out from the hundreds of other people wearing bombers, and that's where finding a unique bomber comes into play. From a space-inspired Gucci bomber to a bright red one with "Sweet Thing" printed on the back, here are 10 of the coolest bomber jackets that will help you show off your personality this Spring.
Every Parent Should Use This Dad's "X-Plan" to Give Their Teens a Way Out of Pressure Situations
Being a teen can be difficult; you're learning to navigate a more adult world full of sometimes uncomfortable social situations, which may or may not include peer pressure, while also trying to "be cool." To alleviate some of the stress that comes with these instances, one dad is sharing an invaluable code he uses with his own kids, which acts as an out for them during any awkward social situation - and it's something you and your kids should adopt ASAP.
"As a teen, forcing down alcohol seemed a whole lot easier than offering myself up for punishment, endless nagging and interrogation, and the potential end of freedom as I knew it," Bert Fulks, a father and youth minister, shared on his blog. "For these reasons, we now have something called the 'X-plan' in our family. This simple, but powerful tool is a lifeline that our kids are free to use at any time."
Here's how it works:
"Let's say that my youngest, Danny, gets dropped off at a party. If anything about the situation makes him uncomfortable, all he has to do is text the letter 'X' to any of us (his mother, me, his older brother or sister). The one who receives the text has a very basic script to follow. Within a few minutes, they call Danny's phone. When he answers, the conversation goes like this:
'Hello?'
'Danny, something's come up and I have to come get you right now.'
'What happened?'
'I'll tell you when I get there. Be ready to leave in five minutes. I'm on my way.'
At that point, Danny tells his friends that something's happened at home, someone is coming to get him, and he has to leave. In short, Danny knows he has a way out; at the same time, there's no pressure on him to open himself to any social ridicule. He has the freedom to protect himself while continuing to grow and learn to navigate his world."
Pretty genius, right?
Bert continues his post, highlighting one important component to the plan. "Once he's been extracted from the trenches, Danny knows that he can tell us as much or as little as he wants . . . but it's completely up to him. The X-plan comes with the agreement that we will pass no judgments and ask no questions . . . This can be a hard thing for some parents (admit it, some of us are complete control freaks); but I promise it might not only save them, but it will go a long way in building trust between you and your kid."
6 Korean Eye Treatments That Completely Changed My Skin
Confession: supertired eyes have always been a huge insecurity of mine. I've had puffy bags under my peepers for my entire life, and they've followed me well into adulthood. I've purchased almost every de-puffing brightening stick and eye cream out there, until one day a beauty-addict friend of mine told me that I should check out a few Korean skin care stores. After about two hours of scanning Little Korea in NYC for eye treatments I walked out with a bag full of sheet masks and eye creams I couldn't wait to go home and plaster under my peepers.
To my surprise, nearly every treatment worked! Since my first purchase, I've stuck to only using a few Korean remedies. I've seen significant improvements - brighter, flatter skin under my eyes. While I still sometimes wake up with fish eyes, I now have go-to products that can give me an immediate fix. Keep reading to discover essential Korean eye treatments I swear by.
