Parents Be Warned: Your Teen May Be Using the Tinder-Like App "Yellow"
Although Tinder has turned out a number of successful relationships over the years (including mine), I'll be the first to tell you how sketchy using it could feel - the risks are just too many and I'd never want my teen on the app. However, a new, free app called "Yellow" is threatening to make that scary thought more of a reality, as many teens are reportedly using it to make new friends on social media.
Of course, apps like Snapchat and Instagram pose their own sets of risks, but there's something about Yellow's nature that makes it feel, well, different. Unlike other apps, Yellow actually wants - and makes it easy - to match your child with total strangers. It's advertised in the iTunes store with the tagline, "Make new friends," and has the classic Tinder swipe feature within the app to help tweens and teens find people to chat and exchange photos with. Although the app store says Yellow is intended for users 12 and up, when I downloaded it, I wasn't prompted to verify my age (not that that would stop most teens anyway).
Every Parent Should Use This Dad's "X-Plan" to Give Their Teens a Way Out of Pressure Situations
Upon downloading, Yellow asks you for your phone number to text you a verification code, then you're prompted to enter your basic information: name, birthday, gender. To note, the default year on the birthdate slider was 2004, which would make the user 12 or 13 years old. After uploading a selfie, Yellow asks to use your location, which is mandatory to make it work. Finally, after a brief swiping tutorial, potential matches begin popping up; and this is where I got uncomfortable and stopped, as the first person I came across was a "23-year-old" who had added less than savory photos of himself to his profile.
So to summarize, Yellow will have your teen's phone number, location, personal information, access to photos, and will encourage your child to swipe left and right on strangers of various ages to then chat with and send photos to. And though the teen has control over who they swipe to match with, they have no control over the users that will pop up, whose photos could depict nudity or alcohol and drug usage (both of which I saw as soon as my first potential match popped up).
Being a parent in this age is so much more difficult than it was before cell phones and technology, but rather than lament over that fact, we must be proactive when it comes to our children's safety. Whether your teen is using Yellow or not, make some to time to talk to them about their online presence. Additionally, put into motion these tips on raising safe and smart kids, and ways to monitor your child's online activities.
David Schwimmer and Wife Zoe Buckman Separate After 6 Years of Marriage
After nearly seven years of marriage, David Schwimmer and his wife, Zoe Buckman, are taking some time apart. The couple, who are parents to 5-year-old daughter Cleo, confirmed the news with a joint statement to Us Weekly on Wednesday, saying, "It is with great love, respect and friendship that we have decided to take some time apart while we determine the future of our relationship. Our priority is, of course, our daughter's happiness and well being during this challenging time, and so we ask for your support and respect for our privacy as we continue to raise her together and navigate this new chapter for our family." The couple met in 2007 on the set of Run in London, and they tied the knot in 2010.

Big Little Lies: Time to Obsess Over Zoë Kravitz's Elvis Cover
Big Little Lies went out with, well, a shove on Sunday night. We got answers to our burning questions - Who's dead? Who's the murderer? And who raped Jane? - as we finally get to see the Audrey Hepburn and Elvis Presley-themed fundraiser. One of the greatest highlights of the episode, behind seeing a certain wife-beating scumbag get what's been coming to him, is the Elvis sing-off. While Ed had been practicing for weeks for his big number, we had no idea Bonnie would be the star of the show. Zoë Kravitz sang her cover of "Don't" herself, which shouldn't come as a huge surprise, given her genetic makeup. (She's the daughter of legendary rocker Lenny Kravitz.) Here's the cover, straight off of the Big Little Lies soundtrack.
Here's the original, for comparison!
You'll Be Obsessed With Swatches of the Jeffree Star x Manny MUA Collaboration
After some major anticipation, we've finally got the official scoop on the Jeffree Star x Manny MUA launch, and boy, is it good! In a video on Manny's channel, the two got together for a reveal. We knew that the collab would include some liquid lipsticks and a highlighter, but we know what the shades inside are.
As you know, the packaging (including the boxes, compact, and tube) is black, and this is a first for Jeffree's range. The accent is holographic, which is so hot right now. We're particularly enamored that both Jeffree and Manny's signature logos - a star and a moon, respectively - are on every aspect of the products, including the sticker on the back of the highlighter compact and pressed into the powder itself.
The collection officially launches at 10 a.m. PT on April 8, and you'll be able to purchase all three items in a bundle for $50. However, if you'd rather buy items one piece at a time, the liquid lipsticks will cost $18 and the Skin Frost will be $29. In another first, Jeffree is allowing the use of a discount code on his website. Enter MANNYMUA at checkout and you'll be able to get 10 percent off individual items from the collaboration.
Watch the video above to see the products in action, then keep reading to see the products themselves and swatches of each shade.

Don't Worry, the 13 Reasons Why Cast Actually Really Loves Each Other IRL

While the cast does an amazing job at portraying that heartbreak on screen, they're actually all incredibly close in real life. The show's stars, including Dylan Minnette (Clay Jensen), Katherine Langford (Hannah Baker), Brandon Flynn (Justin), and Alisha Boe (Jessica), regularly hung out during filming and are now our new favorite Hollywood friend group. Glass Nail Art Is Still the Latest Korean Beauty Craze You Need to Try
It's easy to feel a bit jaded when it comes to chic nail art ideas. You've seen everything from foil to glitter ombré and negative space. So we hope you share our enthusiasm over the latest festive manicure to arise from the holy land of beauty trends, Korea. The look is deemed "glass nail art," though we have also seen it referred to as "opal."
The manicure is meant to transform nails into diamonds or glass bottles (much like the beautiful ones that hold perfume). And there are many ways to interpret it - you can do it against an iridescent white or a gothic black. Some creative ladies even brought in colors like deep blue, burgundy, and rustic red. Or you can strategically position it, covering half of your digits and only the tips. Overall, it's pearly, it's sexy - and you need to try it! Keep reading to see 15 interpretations of the fad.
Cindy Crawford Found the 1 Bikini That Works For All Ages and Body Types
Once a supermodel, always a supermodel. Cindy Crawford proved she's still in tune with her modeling genes when she went for a swim in a sexy snake-print bikini. The two-piece swimsuit showed off her toned silhouette as she explored the beach in St. Barts with her family. After looking at a couple of the photos, we noticed something extra special about Cindy's particular piece.
The bikini with gold hardware is easily one of the most classic of all swim styles given the fit and print. At 51 years old, Cindy rocked it well, but we could also see the bikini on someone who's in her 20s. Unlike trendy one-pieces that reveal some major side boob - they're not for everyone! - a printed triangle-cup bikini works for women of all sizes and shapes. In fact, you might have one already. If not, we've provided some shopping inspiration ahead.

Dad's Photos Will Give You a Heart Attack - Until You Realize What's Going On
One tech-savvy dad is frightening the internet one heavily edited picture at a time. On April 4, the dad decided to share an ongoing project he had been working on wherein he would edit his daughter into anxiety-inducing situations to give fellow parents a good scare - hopefully followed by a relieved laugh.
In his Reddit post, the dad wrote, "I've been photoshopping my kid into marginally dangerous situations, nothing unbelievable, but enough to make people think 'Wait . . . did he really?'" Well, we can say with certainty that he achieved that goal. While some of the pictures are slightly less worrisome, there is a particularly terrifying one, shown above, that depicts his daughter scaling a staircase!
Ahead, we've rounded up all of his alarming pictures - proceed with caution.

Amy Schumer, Girl After Our Own Hearts, Says Drinking Makes Life More Fun
It's Amy Schumer's life, and she'll get drunk if she wants to, OK? The Snatched actress stuns on the cover of InStyle's May issue, and her accompanying interview is chock-full of her classic and unfiltered humor. Amy, who looks amazing in a white one-piece while sprawled out in a pool on the cover, tells the magazine that she makes no apologies for letting loose once in a while. "In the past couple years there have been times when I haven't drunk for months," she explained. "What I find is I look so much better, feel amazing . . . and am so bored. Life isn't that fun. So I can feel really good for a while, but then it's one of the things that I look forward to, so until I am told 'You cannot do this anymore,' I'll probably continue to do it." Since life can sometimes seem way too focused on Spin class and disgusting green juice, it's comforting to know that we're not alone in enjoying a bottle of wine (or five) every now and then.

Every Song You've Heard (and Loved) on Big Little Lies
Big Little Lies killed it (pun intended) in the music department. The first episode alone features seven fantastic songs - including the intro theme - that you'll almost definitely want on all your playlists, and there's even more on the following episodes. Now that we know who's dead and whodunit, let's take stock of the music throughout the entire miniseries.
This Trick Will Magically Turn the Shade of Your Hydrangeas
Source: Flickr user Ryutaro Koma
If you've ever admired a hydrangea bush blooming in all sorts of pastel shades, you'll be happy to know that the look is achieved by a simple science trick! You can actually change the color of your hydrangeas - making them pink, blue, or ethereal shades of periwinkle - by following these steps. Here's how to master the pastel rainbow effect:
- Make Sure You Have the Right Type of Hydrangea
Only hydrangea macrophylla (aka mopheads and lacecaps) can actually change color, so make sure you buy the right kind. - Measure the Soil pH
It's easy - we promise! Use a soil test kit to figure out your soil pH levels. To get blue flowers, you'll want your soil to be acidic with pH levels of 5.5 or lower. For pink flowers, you'll want more alkaline soil with pH levels of 6.5 or higher. To achieve that pretty palette of blue, pink, and purple hues, get your soil to a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. - Adjust the pH Levels of Your Soil to Get the Color You Want
Bailey's Color Me Blue (soil sulfur) or Bailey's Color Me Pink (garden lime) are great for adjusting pH levels, but you can also use a few homemade tricks, like using composted oak leaves, pine needles, or coffee grounds for blue flowers or wood ashes, lime, or fertilizers with high levels of phosphorus (a ratio of 25-10-10 is best) to prevent aluminum from entering the plant's system for pink flowers. This helpful guide will tell you how much additives to use for raising or lowering the pH levels. - Keep Treating Your Soil, and Be Patient
Continue treating the top layer of soil around the root area to keep the flowers in the desired shade. This process can take months, so be patient.

Their sweet and small ceremony included close friends and family, and followed with a fun reception at the colorful Saguaro hotel. Nachos and delicious Mexican food were the perfect way to end the amazing day.
"I absolutely loved the simplicity and low-stress vibe from this Thursday wedding in Palm Springs, California and hope that my photographs did a good job capturing their energy and the good times had this day," said Ryan.

Ivanka Trump: “Where I Disagree With My Father, He Knows It”
"So where I disagree with my father, he knows it. And I express myself with total candor." -- @IvankaTrump https://t.co/FGIY88ARqb http://pic.twitter.com/upXDrUDn86
- CBS This Morning (@CBSThisMorning) April 5, 2017
Ivanka Trump has been under serious scrutiny since her father was elected 45th president of the United States. While she initially said she was just going to be "a daughter" and not be involved in the administration, things have definitely changed. In her first TV interview since becoming assistant to the president, Ivanka sat down with Gayle King of CBS This Morning, where she opened up like never before - discussing her goals for her new role, the criticism she and husband Jared Kushner have faced for being "complicit," and what happens when she disagrees with her father, President Donald Trump.
Many have blamed Ivanka's lack of social media presence and her silence on social media regarding political issues on her being "complicit." Saturday Night Live even mocked her silence with a skit for fragrance ad named Complicit, but Ivanka reasserts herself and her job in the recent interview. "If being complicit is wanting to, is wanting to be a force for good and to make a positive impact then I'm complicit," she said. "I don't know that the critics who may say that of me, if they found themselves in this very unique and unprecedented situation that I am now in, would do any differently than I am doing."
Ivanka added, "So I hope to make a positive impact. I don't know what it means to be complicit, but you know, I hope time will prove that I have done a good job and much more importantly that my father's administration is the success that I know it will be."
Ivanka insisted that critics do not understand the rare position she is in and that her decision to not take to Twitter or make public statements does not mean that she doesn't have an opinion on the topic or that she doesn't care. "I would say not to conflate lack of public denouncement with silence," Ivanka said. "In some case it's through protest and it's through going on the nightly news and talking about or denouncing every issue in which you disagree with. Other times it is quietly, and directly, and candidly."
She explained that she's never silent when it comes to disagreeing with her father, and anyone who even flipped on the TV during the 2016 presidential election knows that Donald Trump does not fare well with opposing views, but it's not the same when it comes to his daughter.
"Where I disagree with my father, he knows it, and I express myself with total candor," she explained. "Where I agree, I fully lean in and support the agenda and hope that I can be an asset to him and make a positive impact. But I respect the fact that he always listens. It's how he was in business. It's how he is as president."
Gayle pointed out that many news articles claim Ivanka and her husband Jared are "the moderating force in the White House," and that they will tell President Trump the "hard truths." Ivanka agreed and said that many of the people the President surrounds himself with, including herself and Jared, will be straight up about issues at hand. "But I think most of the impact I have, over time, most people will not actually know about," she revealed.
Check out the full transcript of Ivanka's interview with Gayle King here.

Why 1 Expert Says Velvet Is the Fashion Trend You Should Be Wearing Right Now
When it's time to transition to a new season, my rule to not feeling overwhelmed by the many trends and looks that plague your Instagram and Pinterest is simple: I pick one strong trend and find pieces I already have in my closet that can complement it. For Spring, one of my favorite trends is velvet - velvet everything! It's such a rich and beautiful texture that works well for day to night and is equally beautiful in shoes, dresses, accessories, and beyond! Keep reading to see 10 ways you can wear the trend this season.

The 1 Makeup Tip That Totally Changed My Beauty Routine
Listen, I don't want to sound too over-the-top about this, but I'm honestly not sure how I lived before I embraced makeup-setting spray. A refreshing mist? A full face of makeup that actually lasts? The product's promises seemed too good to be true. (Spoiler alert: they weren't.)
It all started when I learned that I'd be doing my own makeup as a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding. I've cried during literally every wedding ceremony I've ever attended, so I panicked at the thought of standing at the sunny altar beside my best friend, mascara and concealer dripping down my face, all runny makeup and bloodshot raccoon eyes. Not helping matters at all? I was also pregnant, which meant I was perpetually hot (see: red, sweaty forehead) and even more emotional than usual. Yikes.
Enter our beauty editors, who recommended a few waterproof eyeliners and suggested that I try a setting spray. Until then, I'd only used setting sprays on a handful of occasions, once when I had my makeup done plus a few times in college when a friend shared her spray before going out. I'd thought of it as a product for "real" beauty girls - people who used foundation and highlighter and who knew how to apply liquid eyeliner. I am not one of those people, and with my simpler routine, setting spray didn't feel worth it.
My turn as a pregnant bridesmaid felt like the right time to try it, though - I was going to need all the help I could get - so I combed through our list of the best setting sprays to find one that might suit me. I have incredibly sensitive skin that became even more sensitive during pregnancy, so after reading some reviews and checking ingredient lists, I purchased Urban Decay's All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray ($31), which is free of oils and parabens.
Here's where I tell you that I don't typically get makeup-related compliments. I'm a concealer, mascara, and simple eyeliner kind of girl, and by the end of the day, my eyeliner is slightly smudged and the concealer has usually faded.
But damn if my makeup didn't stay put (and somehow look brighter?) during that wedding. It gave me a glowy look that usually escapes me thanks to my powder bronzer, and I didn't need to reapply mascara or eyeliner like I typically do. Even after hours in the sun and on the dance floor, plus a handful of tears during the ceremony, my drugstore makeup held up. It felt like a true pregnancy miracle.
The real miracle worker at play, of course, was the setting spray, which I now use nearly every weekend. A daytime BBQ? Sweat isn't a problem. All-night dance party? I leave looking almost the same as when I arrived.
So, OK, it may not change your life, but it will definitely up your makeup game.
Heidi Klum Slips into a Bikini and Sips From a Coconut in Turks and Caicos
Heidi Klum flaunted her fit figure on the beach in Turks and Caicos on Sunday. The 43-year-old former Victoria's Secret supermodel and current America's Got Talent judge hit the sand in a striped bikini and sipped from a coconut while walking along the water. At one point, she took a dip in the ocean (how freaking blue is that water?) and looked happy and relaxed while in the waves. On Tuesday, Heidi shared a throwback photo on Instagram of her mom, Erna, wearing a bikini while hosing down her (very tall) father Günther, writing, "Papa und Mama." Pretty clear to see where her good looks came from!

5 Reasons the It Remake Will Be Even Scarier This Time Around
The It remake is coming. We might only have a handful of details about the film and it might be months away, but somewhere off in the distance, Pennywise the Clown lurks. Between the literary masterpiece that Stephen King published in 1986 and the miniseries adaptation from 1990, the It remake has a lot stacked against it. Now that we've seen the first official trailer, though, our hopes are sky high. You might say they float. Given that the new iteration seems to hew closely to the original book, we're examining how will the newest iteration will stack against both predecessors. How will it compare to the novel and the indomitable Tim Curry?
- The updated Pennywise is creepier than ever. In August, Entertainment Weekly gave us a full look at the new Pennywise. He's obscured by shadow and looks like a darker, more sinister version of the demonic clown. There's a sense of foreboding that the original Pennywise lacks.
- It has potential to be much more loyal to the book. When you consider the fact that the adaptation is being split into two parts - one with our main group of heroes as kids and one with them as adults - it only means that there's more time to tell the story. The book itself has a lot of heft to it, so this decision allows the filmmakers to dig deeper into the the complexities of plot.
- The remake's director has some serious horror chops. Andrés Muschietti directed 2013's Mama, starring Jessica Chastain and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. If you've seen it, you'll know that film's central monster, the "Mama" herself, is the stuff of nightmares. If Muschietti can inject even half of that creepiness into Pennywise, we're in for a wild ride.
- That infamous haunted house lives up to its reputation. If you've read the It novel, you'll know the house at 29 Neibolt Street is the setting for one of the story's most horrifying sequences. Last year, director Andres Muschietti's Instagram post confirmed that the house had been built, and we even got a sneak peek in the first trailer. We don't want to give too much away, but know that some of your worst nightmares are about to come to life.
- Today's technology might make for more terrifying monsters. Computer-generated imagery (and even practical effects, for that matter) have achieved all-new highs in the 21st century. If you're not aware, the monster is some sort of ancient, shape-shifting demonic entity, meaning the demented clown is not his only form. You can't even begin to imagine the forms he might take. When you think about how many leaps and bounds the film industry has made in the last 25 years, it's not hard to see how Pennywise will be more blood-curdling than ever.
Are you excited now? The It remake hits theaters on Sept. 8, 2017.

Ellen DeGeneres and Demi Lovato Say "F*ck," "Sh*t," and "B*tch" on Daytime TV
Demi Lovato stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show for an NSFW appearance on Wednesday. While most episodes of Ellen's show spread joy and laughter through giving back and celebrities being adorable, this particular show made us happy for a whole new reason: swearing. During a game of "5 Second Rule," the two tried to answer slightly scandalous questions in a time crunch. After talking about showing "boobies" in a broken elevator, Ellen goes on to reveal her three favorite swear words. Demi then tries to add additional ones, including almost saying the "C" word. Press play if you need a good f*cking laugh.

Learning to Pour the Perfect Pint Is Just 1 Reason to Visit the Guinness Storehouse
The concierge at my Dublin, Ireland, hotel put it perfectly when he said, "You can't come to Dublin and not see the Guinness Storehouse - it is Dublin!" Marcin, my concierge at the Conrad Dublin hotel, was right in recommending the Guinness experience. The brewery and storehouse at St. James's Gate still stand where Arthur Guinness started brewing beer in the 1700s. Now, the giant building that houses the experience for visitors to enjoy includes floor after floor of history, the process, a tasting, and multiple bars. It's a completely immersive experience that anyone - beer fan or not - should check out while in Dublin because of its rich ties to Dublin's history. If you're still not totally convinced, I have five good reasons to sway your decision.
William, Kate, and Harry Join Families of Terror Attack Victims at a Church Service
Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry have been pretty busy the last few weeks, but the trio dedicated much of their Wednesday to paying their respects to the four people who lost their lives in the tragic terrorist attack in London in late March. Just as William recently did while touring a Remembrance Centre in the UK, he honored the victims' memories by laying down a floral wreath. The invite-only multifaith service was held at Westminster Abbey, and the royals were joined by the victims' grieving family members, people injured in the attack, emergency service workers, and London Mayor Sadiq Khan. Home Secretary Amber Rudd gave the first reading, and then William took the podium to read a Bible passage.
In the wake of the March 22 attack, the royal family has been vocal about their support of the victims. Both William and his father, Prince Charles, visited hospitals to talk to patients and to thank the London Ambulance Service paramedics who got the injured medical attention in time to save their lives. During a Mother's Day appearance at London's Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Kate also sent her "thoughts and prayers to all those sadly affected by yesterday's terrible attack in Westminster."

Dad Finds Sweet Note Taped to Dumbo Toy in His Business Trip Suitcase
Joys of Parenting - Found in Suitcase on a Business Trip from pics
After arriving in NYC for a business trip, one dad found an unexpected item packed away in his suitcase: his 9-year-old daughter's Dumbo Tsum-Tsum toy attached to a darling note in kid writing.
The dad, who goes by "endustry1994" on Reddit, posted a photo of Tate's sweet gesture online so everyone could read her adorable note. "Dear Daddy," it says. "You can use Dumbo. I love you, good morning, goodnight, sweet dreams. I love you to the moon and back."
Although those few lines are enough to make our hearts burst, we have to admit, our two favorite parts of the note were her hilariously unsubtle request for a "suvaneir" and her signature, which reads, "Love, Tatertot" (aka the cutest nickname ever). What a loved dad!
Wentworth Miller's Mental Health Struggles Made Him "Stronger as an Artist"
There are plenty of questions surrounding the return of Prison Break more than seven years later, so when Wentworth Miller sat down with POPSUGAR and other press outlets at WonderCon, the conversation naturally started at the reboot's plot. But when talk turned to how Miller's character, Michael Scofield, has changed as a man, things circled back to the actor's personal experiences.
Miller, who came out as gay in 2013, has publicly addressed his struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts in recent years, combating critics of physical appearance by discussing how mental health struggles affected his weight. When asked whether his advocacy for mental health has affected his approach to his Prison Break character, Miller told reporters:
"It informs my everyday experience and informs me as a performer for sure. I've walked a long road, and I've seen and experienced a lot of things. One of the gifts of being where I am now, where I can talk openly about being queer, about having mental health issues . . . it means that I can walk on set and instead of playing multiple parts, like 'the guy who has it all together' while I'm playing Michael Scofield, I can just focus on Michael Scofield, and it's made me stronger as an artist."
According to Miller, there's no denying that his own experiences and personal growth have affected his Prison Break counterpart, and he's happy about it. "Michael Scofield is in me; he's never going to go away," Miller said. "But I have changed as a man, 10 years older than when we started the original series. So when I put those shoes on, the shoes may be the same, but the man standing in them is different."
His openness is an inspiration, and we can't wait to see the new depth brought to the show through Miller's positive personal growth and newfound happiness in his own skin.
This Is What Celeste's Monterey Apartment in Big Little Lies Would Cost IRL
If you tuned into the finale of Big Little Lies, you might've been surprised by how nice Celeste's secret two-bedroom apartment was. Sure, it paled in comparison to the multi-million dollar modern waterfront mansion she shared with husband Perry – but it was still way nicer than the average digs. We found ourselves coveting its light-filled rooms, stunning ocean views, beachfront location, and charming living room complete with fireplace. We even wondered if this Monterey hideaway was within reach of a normal person's budget, and to find out we found a strikingly similar apartment available for sale right now.
The charming property is located in a gated community directly on the sand (one of only two complexes in Monterey with this type of direct waterfront location) and offers two-bedrooms and two-baths spread out over 1,083 square-feet of space. It's currently being sold for - wait for it - $825,000. That's more than double the February 2017 average cost of a new home in the US. While it's a bargain compared to the seaside palaces characters like Renata and Madeline lived in, it's still very expensive.
Turns out, the Big Little Lies lifestyle is pricey no matter how you slice it. Keep reading to check out the beautiful property ahead.
