Want to Lose Weight? Here's the Dinner This Celebrity Trainer Suggests

If you're looking to lose weight, celebrity trainer Joel Harper recommends serving up soup for dinner. "Liquids are already broken down," he says, which means your body has to do less work when it comes to digestion. This can help keep you regular, banish bloat, and support weight-loss goals! However, any old soup won't suffice; Joel is all about focusing on the quality of your calories rather than a sheer number and making sure there's some protein in your bowl. Whether you're a meat-lover or vegan eater, at least one of these 18 nutrient-dense soups will become a staple in your dinner rotation.

How Revenge Body's Simone De La Rue Is Tricking Clients Into Losing Weight

Simone De La Rue knows how to transform bodies in the sneakiest of ways: by making them have fun. The celebrity trainer, Broadway dancer, and Revenge Body star noted that she herself isn't a fan of traditional exercise. "I would not run for 40 minutes, I would not cycle for 40 minutes, I would not swim for 40 minutes," she told POPSUGAR. Are you in the same boat? It's time to get your groove on.

Her secret to successful weight loss? Dance. "I absolutely trick people so they don't know what's happening," she said, describing her fitness classes at Body by Simone as "40 minutes of nonstop dance." And that's what's making dance cardio the hottest workout of 2017 - it's fun, and you don't feel like you're working out. "It's a way of getting that cardio in without even realize you're doing it," she said.

Dance is a full-body workout that uses every muscle group while also burning calories through cardio. "It requires the full body," said Simone. "It's not just like you're sitting on a bike cycling and just using your lower body. You're using upper and lower and core as well." She told POPSUGAR that "so many people do barre and Pilates and yoga, which is really great, but we just need to get that heart rate up." And that's where the calorie-burning comes into play - unsuspecting high-intensity cardio. You'd be surprised at just how many calories dance burns, too - you could burn up to 600 (or more) with one hour of dance.

Another great side effect besides weight loss? Boosted mood. It's scientifically proven to leave you feeling happier. "That's the beauty about dance," said Simone. "It's fun, it's joyous, you're having to use your brain for choreography (which also burns calories!) - the fact that it's so much fun, people don't realize how quickly the time has gone."

You can try some of Simone's signature dance classes here at POPSUGAR, or check out her new fitness DVD that comes out April 10 - it's all dance cardio!

What Is Kate Middleton's Relationship Like With Other Royal Women?

The Surprising Bath Product That Could Alleviate Your Migraines

Besides the pain of a throbbing headache, the most frustrating part of being a migraine sufferer is how difficult it is to find an effective treatment. I personally have given up on preventative or emergency medications, as many of them have only made me feel worse. But thanks to a viral Facebook post, those dealing with these awful headaches may finally be able to get some relief.

The Daily Mail discovered Facebook user Jill Hamilton's tip from a friend, which declares Johnson's Baby Soothing Vapor Bath ($5) as "life-changing."

"I get unbearable migraine headaches," read the post. "I started using this in the shower every night, I lather up really good and breathe in the smell for about five minutes then rinse off. And no more migraine!"

The relief may be due to the aromatherapeutic blend of rosemary, eucalyptus, and menthol. Cathy Glaser, the president of the Migraine Research Foundation, told Allure that researchers have been focusing on the benefits of menthol in particular.

"Menthol has been used as a 'non-drug' therapy for headaches for centuries. Although there are anecdotal reports that it's helpful, there is no scientific research supporting its use," says Glaser. "That's why we funded a study on cornmint oil (which is what menthol comes from) last year."

While there are no results yet from that study, it's worth testing out the Johnson's Baby Soothing Vapor Bath in the meantime. It could seriously improve your life if it works, but worst case scenario, you're out $5 - with a squeaky-clean body.

The Most Dangerous Sunscreens For Kids (and They're Probably Hiding in Your Beach Bag)

Along with wearing sunglasses and hats, sunscreen should always be a part of your family's Summer routine - but is the sunscreen in your beach bag right now actually safe? Healthy Child released a list of the 13 sunscreens with the worst EWG ratings for 2016 to alert parents.

The sunscreens that made the list have potentially harmful chemicals - oxybenzone (which can disrupt the hormone system) and retinyl palmitate (which may actually trigger skin damage on sun-exposed skin) - and high SPFs that don't actually do any more to protect your child than an SPF 30-50. Additionally, two formulas come in a spray that won't completely cover your little one's skin and could be inhaled into their lungs.

If any of these are in your arsenal, toss them and opt for one of these safe sunscreens instead.

30 Things You Didn't Know About the Property Brothers

Thirty-seven-year-old twins Jonathan and Drew Scott are kind of a big deal on the HGTV network. The brothers currently host four different shows on the network: Property Brothers, Buying and Selling, Property Brothers at Home, and Brother vs. Brother. Kathleen Finch, president of HGTV, even told The New York Times last year that Jonathan and Drew are "the cable equivalent of box-office movie stars."

Well, that much is true if you look at their social media followings. Both Jonathan and Drew are beloved on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Vine. If you're a big fan and love to watch the brothers work their real estate and design magic on the small screen, then you'll definitely want to learn these 30 facts we've uncovered about the duo.

The Wisteria Flower Tunnels of Japan Look Like a Fairy Tale Come to Life

The wisteria tunnels at the Kawachi Fuji Gardens in Kitakyushu, Japan, are almost otherworldly in their beauty. While thousands of tourists flock to Japan to see the country's fabulous displays of cherry blossoms every year, the lesser-known wisteria tunnels remain a little off the beaten path, despite an increase in popularity over the past few years.

Wisteria is a climbing flower that blooms in the Spring with a variety of colors that make up a stunning Spring palette, including violet, light pink, and white. Every year at the end of April, the long-established wisteria at the gardens bloom and transform the man-made trellises into spectacular works of art. The combination of the aroma and stunning visual display make it a true sensory experience.

There are two tunnels to enjoy, each measuring about 100 meters long and consisting of up to 20 different varieties of wisteria, known locally as fuji flowers. If you want to visit, make sure to plan ahead - the display usually only lasts a few weeks. While the gardens are notoriously difficult to get to, the payoff is totally worth it. Look through to see stunning photos of this fairy-tale destination!

1 Female Legislator's "White Male" Comment Sent These White Males Spinning

When Minnesota House members met to discuss a bill regarding harsh penalties for protesters that block major roads, Melissa Hortman, the Democratic-Farmer-Labor minority leader, noticed that some of her colleagues were missing. During the meeting, Democratic state Rep. Ilhan Omar gave a speech about the bill. She explained that if these harsh penalties were in order, movements like Black Lives Matter would not exist, but Hortman wasn't satisfied with lack of legislators on the floor.

Hortman pointed out that not only were her male colleagues not present to hear Omar's speech, but they also missed other amazing speeches made by women opposing the bill because they were in the retiring room . . . and she did not hold back with these thoughts. "I hate to break up the 100 percent white male card game in the retiring room, but I think this is an important debate," Hortman said.

As expected, her comment did not sit well with some of the male legislators, especially Republican Rep. Bob Dettmer. "I'm a white male," he said. "I respect everybody. But I really believe the comments that were made by the minority leader were really not appropriate. Minority leader, would you apologize to the body?" Hortman refused to back down.

"I have no intention of apologizing," Hortman said. "I am so tired of watching Rep. Susan Allen give an amazing speech, Rep. Peggy Flanagan give an amazing speech; watching Rep. Jamie Becker-Finn give an amazing speech, Rep. Rena Moran give the most heartfelt, incredible speech I've heard on this House floor as long as I can remember; watching Rep. Ilhan Omar give an amazing speech, and looking around to see where are my colleagues?"

She added: "And I went in the retiring room and I saw where a bunch of my colleagues were, and I'm really tired of watching women of color, in particular, being ignored. So, I'm not sorry." If we were there, this would be the moment we burst out into applause.

But Dettmer was not alone in feeling offended by Hortman's statement during the meeting. Republican Rep. Greg Davids told a local Minnesota publication that he believes she should resign for her "racist" comment. "I was greatly offended by Hortman's racist statement about white males," he told the Post-Bulletin. "I believe her comments have created a very hostile working environment."

Watch the video above to see how the House members handled Hortman's comment about sexism in the courtroom.

Ivanka Trump's Meeting With Planned Parenthood Wasn't Exactly Constructive

President Donald Trump is an outspoken (and often mistaken) critic of Planned Parenthood. So it makes complete sense that his daughter and recently appointed assistant, Ivanka Trump, would attempt to assuage tensions between the nonprofit and an administration committed to defunding it.

Ivanka Trump met with representatives from Planned Parenthood, including its president, Cecile Richards, in January to discuss the organization's efforts and clarify any misconceptions the president might have about its work. The meeting was first reported by Politico and confirmed by Planned Parenthood in a statement the organization shared with POPSUGAR.

"Cecile Richards and Ivanka Trump had a cordial and informative meeting shortly after the inauguration," read the statement from Planned Parenthood. "The purpose of the meeting, from Planned Parenthood's perspective, was to make sure that Ivanka Trump fully understood the important role Planned Parenthood plays in providing health care to millions of people and why it would be a disastrous idea to block people from accessing care at Planned Parenthood."

The meeting was also an opportunity for Planned Parenthood to elucidate any confusion the White House might have about its activities. "It was also important to clear up any misinformation regarding the Medicaid reimbursements Planned Parenthood receives and explain that Planned Parenthood is reimbursed the same way hospitals are," the statement added. "It's not a budget line item."

However, the administration has continued to demonstrate its apparent lack of knowledge about Planned Parenthood's operations - or simply regard for the care and services it provides - and its leadership has moved toward allowing states to defund the organization at will.

In the statement, Planned Parenthood maintained it is still willing to work with the administration going forward. "Planned Parenthood welcomes the opportunity to meet with anyone to talk about the important role Planned Parenthood plays in providing health care to millions of people and ensure they have the facts."

Echoing Cecile Richards's speech at the Women in the World Summit on April 5, Planned Parenthood emphasized that all White House employees need to answer to the idea that women should be penalized for requiring access to health care.

"Anyone who works in this White House is responsible for addressing why women are in the crosshairs of basically every single policy we've seen in this administration," Richards said.

13 Reasons Why: What It Gets Right About Grieving Suicide as a Teen

As soon as 13 Reasons Why hit Netflix on March 31, I binge-watched the entire thing in less than 24 hours. Then I watched it all over again the next day. As a fan of the book, I couldn't wait to see it brought to life on the small screen, but I actually had to stop myself from watching it a third time. The entire show is devastating, and I knew I shouldn't live in that world longer than a regular viewer. But you see, I know suicide well. More specifically, I know about dealing with suicide in high school. One of my friends took her own life when we were 16, and the pain I feel from all those years ago is still very much a part of my current life.

I have always turned away or left the room when suicide has been shown (or slightly shown) on TV and in movies. It's always seemed very inauthentic and I was never able to bring myself to watch it. But for some reason I knew I would actively watch all of 13 Reasons Why. From the moment the official trailer was released, everything felt familiar to me: certain students pretending to know the girl who killed herself better than they actually did, parents having no idea what to say or how to act, and the helpless feeling of walking the halls knowing one less person would be there between each bell.

Thankfully, I have not dealt with suicide in my adult life, but what I can tell you about going through it as a teen - the time in your life when your friends are more like your family - is that it feels incredibly empty. During 13 Reasons Why, one scene in particular hit me right in the gut. When Clay (Dylan Minnette) and Tony (Christian Navarro) are sitting next to Hannah's grave, Clay says, "I want to see her in school tomorrow. I want to eat Mike and Ikes out of the box with her at The Crestmont. I want to dance with her again and kiss her when I should have kissed her, but I can't."

This feeling of complete helplessness and anger is the most frustrating thing I have ever experienced. I couldn't believe she was just gone, I couldn't believe the world didn't stop when she left, and I couldn't believe there wasn't any way to reverse it all. The sinking feeling of it being permanent came when I watched a group of very strong and big high school guys pull her boyfriend away from her casket because he refused to move.

Much like Clay, I couldn't understand why love wasn't enough.
It all felt like a sick joke. There just had to be a way around this, right? We were 16; we were invisible. The last time I saw her we made plans to hang out. I had that same familiar thought while watching 13 Reasons Why, because there's this small and stupid hope throughout the episodes that she might just be alive at the end, that there will be a loophole where she reveals she faked her own death. And I think that's why I've already become so attached to this show. Ever since I watched it, it hasn't left me, and I'm actually grateful for that. I'm OK with the fact that they showed Hannah's suicide in detail, the devastating moment her parents found her, and the crippling aftermath.

Suicide is hard to swallow, much like those scenes were hard to watch, but it happens. It happens all the time. And it makes you so angry that you actually want to crawl out of your own skin. I wasn't dealing with the same things she was, and I wasn't suffering from depression or mental illness. I couldn't understand the hopelessness I know she must have felt in her final days. Much like Clay, I couldn't understand why love wasn't enough. As I got older, I was able to understand more, and after watching 13 Reasons Why, one of my first thoughts was that they should show it in schools. Angry parents aside, I would have given anything for just one sliver of something or someone from outside of my little suburban bubble that could have helped - and this show helped. It doesn't glorify anything, but instead delivers important messages to teens about how their actions affect other people. It makes you want to be better sons, daughters, students, and friends. It makes you want to reach out to anyone who needs help so they know they're not alone.

Turmeric Is the Hottest Ingredient to Add Into Your DIY Skin Care Routine

If rubbing a bright orange substance on your face makes you feel like Donald Trump, don't worry - what we're about to tell you has nothing to do with politics. The formula we're referring to is the turmeric spice, and it's a buzzy term in the holistic health community right now. The spice hails from India and has traditionally been used in cooking (it's part of the ginger root family). But these days, people are adding it to everything from their smoothies to face masks. We're going to explore the latter since turmeric has many amazing beauty uses.

"Turmeric is an age-old ingredient used for its internal as well as external health-and-beauty-promoting properties," explained Sheetal Rawal, a scientist and founder of brand Apsara. "It has been used in the Indian subcontinent for thousands of years for its natural antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and color-balancing properties. Currently, it is also gaining quite some fame in the West for its significant antioxidant properties."

This ability to bring down inflammation translates to skin care by minimizing acne or bringing down a rosacea flare-up. You can also rely on it for antiaging benefits. "It is loaded with key vitamins that facilitate important skin renewal processes, such as the creation of collagen," added Adina Grigore, the founder of S.W. Basics.

Barbara Close, founder and CEO of Naturopathica, explained the science behind this: "Extracts from turmeric, known as tetrahydrocurcuminoids, efficiently quench free radicals on the surface of the skin due to their antioxidant properties. This protects against damage from ultraviolet radiation and environmental irritants."

In fact, it is even incorporated into prebridal Indian rituals, during which the bride and groom are massaged with a turmeric-infused, homemade herbal concoction. "Turmeric in this age-old concoction is supposed to bring out the 'hidden glow' of the skin," Rawal shared.

Those with sensitive skin should not fear turmeric just because it's spicy. "It's wonderful for anyone who has supersensitive skin, but even for normal skin types, it really makes the skin look flawless," said Joanna Vargas, celebrity facialist and owner of her eponymous brand. "Make sure you are using pure organic turmeric. Some generic store-bought options contain dyes that can stain your skin after application. This is one ingredient where you must go organic."

If you're still hung up on having an Oompa Loompa face, Grigore has more to add on the matter. "And no, to answer your burning question, it won't dye your skin yellow," she mused. "If you're using it in powder form, just be sure to rinse it off thoroughly!"

21 Bold Kate Middleton Outfits That Probably Weren't Queen Approved

Based on her track record, it may be hard to believe Kate ever donned something that could raise eyebrows, but every once in a while we've caught her ditching her sophisticated brand of dressing for something a little more casual. From outings in lazy-day hoodies to laid-back blue jeans, we love seeing proof that sometimes Kate can mix it up.

While we may love Kate's foray into casualwear, we have a feeling the Queen wouldn't approve of these not-so-princessy pieces. Just try to imagine Queen Elizabeth donning the same sporty separates, sneakers, or funky hats - we all know, it just wouldn't happen. So while we're under the impression that it's basically impossible for Kate to wear a bad outfit, it's fun to imagine how the royals really felt when they saw these, ahem, nontraditional styles.

I Was an Accident - but That Doesn't Mean I Wasn't Wanted

When a neighbor walked into my childhood home a few years back, he made a comment that stuck with me.

"My gosh, Lauren, from looking around at all of the framed photos, if I didn't live next to you throughout your entire life and just walked in, I would've never known that you existed."

It's true: being the youngest of four kids means that I got slighted in the picture department. It wasn't that I was an afterthought - you just don't have time for thoughts when you have four little ones under the age of 10 running around without a nanny or babysitter to lend a hand.

As I got older, it still stung to see all of the different albums dedicated to my older siblings, especially when my album - in which a page and a half was devoted to me before it became crammed with report cards and photos of the others - paled in comparison.

Once, during a heated childhood fight, one of my siblings tried to make me feel even worse about being the youngest by spewing a secret . . . that I was an accident and therefore unwanted. However, it ended up having the opposite effect. The instant I learned I was unplanned was actually the most empowering, hopeful moment of my life.

For as long as I can remember, I had known my mom wasn't able to get pregnant easily. After more than six years of struggling with infertility, she was lucky to have one healthy child, let alone four. I heard about the miscarriages she had both before and after her firstborn, and I was familiar with the surgeries, fertility treatments, and drugs that it took in order for her to have my siblings. I also knew that my aunt endured a similar struggle and that my three cousins are adopted.

I knew all of this and I worried about my own fertility - before I had even gotten my first period.

Like my mom, my desire to be a mother is something I've felt for as long as I can remember and never questioned. It's not something that I ever debated. While some consider motherhood a choice, I consider it an esteemed aspiration.

So when I discovered the years it took for my parents to have kids, I wondered if the same hardship would be in my future. I always knew that adoption could be an option. Yet, I let myself worry about the struggles of heading down that path before I even wondered what I wanted to be when I grew up.

When my sister shot out the news that I was an accident, the thought had never even crossed my mind. Her intent was most likely revenge for playing with her American Girl doll without permission. But to both of our surprise, the revelation didn't leave me once again loathing my youngest-sibling status. In fact, for the first time, it didn't faze me at all.

I looked over at my mom - not startled but for confirmation - and after she nodded, I quickly responded, "Not a mistake but the best surprise they ever had!"

I couldn't help but appreciate the news. They had me without planning on it. They had me without expensive medical intervention and years of pain. After everything, they conceived naturally.

On a long car ride home from college, I finally asked my mom about the circumstances surrounding my unexpected arrival, and she frankly explained, "We had no way of knowing we could get pregnant on our own - after 15 years of marriage we hadn't, so why in the world would we use protection?!" And while I didn't appreciate the TMI moment while I was operating a moving vehicle, I did value her honesty. She opened up that she always dreamed of having five little girls, and when she decided to take that unexpected pregnancy test, she was thrilled but also beyond nervous.

She confessed that my dad had pictured a smaller family than my mom's dream brood and wanted three kids - exactly what they already had. She felt that I would be the perfect compromise between five, but she also knew that this "happy accident" wouldn't be one that he'd be willing to risk again. Being a retired nurse, my mother understood that getting pregnant at 38 years old came with major risks, and her heart plummeted to her swollen gut when they couldn't hear my own tiny heartbeat during the first sonogram.

The only person more excited than my mom on the day of my scheduled C-section was my father - and maybe that same sister who broke the news years later but at the time was beyond thrilled to finally be getting a baby sister to dress up.

Yes, I was a complete accident. I joined the family unit later in life, when money was tighter and experiences were already had. My baby photos never made it to the wall in my parent's bedroom because the gold frames that encased each of my sibling's newborn faces weren't still sold by the time I came around.

But none of that mattered compared to the powerful knowledge that I had a chance to become a mother. I might have the opportunity to get pregnant - and take as many photos as I could ever want of my own children.

The news of my parents' surprising turn of luck - which could've left other children feeling insecure and unwanted - has always left me filled with hope.

I want to eat Mike and Ike's out of the box with her at The Crestmont. I want to dance with her again and kiss her when I should have kissed her, but I cant."

Coffee-Lovers Will Develop a Caffeine Addiction to Lip Smacker's Newest Launch

Beauty and java addicts are about to flip out over Lip Smacker's new Lip Cafe Frappes ($4 each) lip balms. The '90s brand has already impressed us with irresistible lip balms in adorable Disney and soda packaging, and we're sure no coffee-lover will be able to resist the five new flavors of the frappe-shaped containers.

Each balm is encased in a coffee cup with the cap in the shape of a whipped-cream swirl. The sweetly scented balms (which will be available in Fred Meyers stores and on the Lip Smacker website starting in May) come in five scrumptious flavors: Vanilla Chai, Cinnamon Churro, Caramel, Mocha Chip, and Pumpkin Spice. Each flavor smells astonishingly similar to its cafe drink counterpart. We're particularly fond of the Pumpkin Spice flavor, which tastes like our favorite Fall indulgence without being overly sugary.

To use the aromatic treats, twist the whipped-cream cap off the coffee cup base and apply the delectable balm to your lips. Read on to see all five enticing flavors.

Take 1 Look at This INSANE Photo of the Moon, and You'll See Why It's Going Viral

Every time we get a different view of space, we're simply left in awe of its mesmerizing natural beauty. One photo of the moon in particular is no exception to that, as it has just started sweeping the internet and taking our breath away in the process.

The image features a view of an almost translucent crescent moon through the top of the Earth's atmosphere, and it's absolutely stunning. We've never seen the moon look like this before! This snapshot was captured by an astronaut in the Johnson Space Center's Image & Analysis Laboratory back in 2006, and it recently found its way to Reddit, where space-lovers noted its beauty and quickly made it go viral.

Some users even observed how the photo looks noticeably similar to a specific shot of the Death Star in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Seriously, the resemblance is uncanny . . . was this the movie director's sly way of giving NASA a hat tip? The internet seems to think so!

Target Is Empowering Breastfeeding Moms With Public Feeding Stations

As if moms didn't already love Target, this chain is giving women another reason to be obsessed with their stores. To the delight of many shoppers, some Targets have rolled out a "nursing nook" or "feeding station" for moms to be able to nourish their little ones in comfort.

These thoughtful areas aren't set up in a private room or dark corner meant to hide moms. Instead, they are normalizing the concept of moms feeding their babies by keeping the area in public. Along with cozy chairs and pillows, the designated space has Boppy pillows, breastfeeding covers, and free breast pads.

Kristy Welker, a representative for Target, told Scary Mommy that the company is testing these nursing areas in a few stores but it does not currently have plans to expand the concept to all locations.

"In late 2016, we began testing designated nursing rooms at two stores in Minnesota. We will continue to evaluate guest feedback on this test to determine broader rollout to additional stores and we always appreciate hearing from our guests about how we can better meet their needs," Welker said. "Fitting rooms are available for women who wish to breastfeed their babies privately, even if others are waiting to use the fitting rooms. Guests who choose to breastfeed in public areas of the store are welcome to do so without being made to feel uncomfortable. Additionally, store leaders are empowered to make decisions that help meet the needs of the guests they serve."

Charlie Hunnam Was Beard-Shamed by Robert Pattinson

This month yields the release of The Lost City of Z starring Robert Pattinson and Charlie Hunnam. Ever since we saw those telling set pictures back in 2015, we knew glorious facial hair would be a staple of the film. I mean, look at that mustache on Charlie! And that beard on Robert! What we didn't realize, though, was that the facial hair led to some hilarious "tension" behind the scenes. When we caught up with Charlie at the film's LA premiere, he shared a funny story about the first few days of filming.

"I showed up with a rather lovely looking beard," Charlie explained, "and Rob showed up and said, 'Haha! That's a lovely little beard. A lovely little beard.' Because he had this magnificent creation, and I said, 'Alright, I guess I'm shaving, because there's no competing with that.' But I did have a very strong mustache, so there you go . . . that's all you need." Whatever helps you sleep at night, Charlie.

The Senate Just Chose the “Nuclear Option” For Gorsuch - Here’s What That Means

On April 6, Senate Republicans invoked the "nuclear option" as a way to end the Democratic filibuster against the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Judge Neil M. Gorsuch. This is only the second time the nuclear option has been used in the Senate - and it has real consequences. So, what does that mean now and for the future of lawmaking in the US? Read on for a breakdown.

What is the nuclear option?

The nuclear option allows for a Senate majority to change the rules the Senate must follow. In this case, it allows the Senate to change the number of votes needed to confirm a Supreme Court nominee to a simple majority of 51 instead of a super majority of 60. The nuclear option used on April 6 also ended the filibuster, a political move usually used by the Senate minority to block any progress on a bill or nomination.

How did the Senate use the nuclear option?

The Senate Democrats started a filibuster to block the nomination of Gorsuch. For the filibuster to end, the Senate would need 60 votes or else the nomination of Gorsuch would've failed. So, instead, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell asked to end the filibuster by overturning a ruling that requires 60 majority votes to end a debate. It passed with the 52 sitting Republican Senators voting yes.

This then allowed for the Senate to vote again on whether to end the debate and move Gorsuch's final confirmation hearing to April 7, which it did with a vote of 55 to 45, reports The New York Times.

What does this mean for future Supreme Court nominations?

The nuclear option has now set a new precedent: the Senate no longer needs a majority of 60 votes to confirm a new nominee. It could let the president pick more decisive nominees that lean more left or right, further politicizing the court over time.

Has the Senate used the nuclear option before?

In 2013, former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid used the nuclear option for lower court and executive branch nominees. This let nominations for these positions pass with a simple majority (51) vs. a super majority (60).

Why is this a big deal?

Considering Republicans blocked former President Barack Obama's nominee, Merrick Garland, from even having a confirmation hearing - and Gorsuch's conservative leanings - Democrats have broadly pushed back hard against his nomination. Before the nuclear option, Senator Charles Schumer suggested that Republicans change the nominee to avoid setting this dangerous precedent. As we know now, that didn't happen - and the ramifications will likely be felt for years to come.

This LBD Is Both a Nod to Jennifer Aniston's Signature Style, and a Daring Departure

Jennifer Aniston stepped out in LA Tuesday night to support her husband Justin Theroux. The gorgeous couple struck a pose in matching black ensembles at the season three premiere of HBO's The Leftovers, which Justin stars in.

While the night was all about Justin, we couldn't look away from Jennifer in her daring leather ensemble. Sure, she stuck to a classic black palette, but she stunned in a look that differs from her typical fashion choices: a one-shouldered minidress from designer Brandon Maxwell's FW 17 collection. The number features a modern ruffle accent on the side. Jennifer finished her look off with gold Jennifer Meyer open circle earrings and black satin strappy sandals by Gianvito Rossi. Have a look at her full look and shop similar versions of her leather dress below.

Dry Lips? Slather These Products on For the Smoothest Lips of Your Life

If you haven't caught on just yet, the lips are probably the most serviced area when it comes to beauty launches these days. I remember a time when an influx of mascaras, texturizing sprays, and BB creams was the norm. In the past two years, it seems, the industry experts are smartly doubling down on lips. Who can blame them? According to Google Trends, the term "lip injections" is currently at peak popularity in April 2017, gaining steam from 2016 and doubling in search since April 2015 - around the time Kylie Jenner announced she was augmenting her lips. The interest in liquid lipstick has also remained constant since this time last year.

That said, lip products are seemingly becoming redundant. Another day, another liquid lipstick. Lately, it's been all about hologram lip toppers. That's why I've been surprised by three innovative products that recently made their way to my desk: a clay mask, a peel, and a silicone brush duo made specifically to prep and pamper your lips ahead of lining, contouring, and applying lipstick.

Check out these new launches and let me know which one you'd pick up in the comments.

The 1 Genius Decorating Tip Everyone Should Steal from RHOC's Heather Dubrow

Real Housewives of Orange County star Heather Dubrow's palatial mansion is filled with many over-the-top design elements that are far from feasible for the ordinary gal; her floating onyx bar, massive closet complete with it's own champagne door bell (we kid you not), and movie theater come to mind. And while we can only gape at those pricey features, Heather does have one elegant design ritual dwellers on any budget can get behind: she fills her entryway with a new display of fresh flowers each week. The fragrant seasonal blossoms set a welcoming tone, while the constantly rotating displays help prevent her home design from becoming stale.

In typical Heather fashion, her the flowers are from a swanky delivery service and are opulent enough to decorate the head table at a black-tie wedding - but you need only swap in a new simple grocery store bouquet every week to achieve the same results. You can even create depth to the look by breaking up the bouquet into multiple vessels arranged at different heights, like Heather does.

Check out the Bravo! star's stunning floral displays ahead. And remember, no matter how much you pay for your blooms or how you arrange them, the key is to make bringing them into your home a habit that you do consistently.

There have been a lot of relationships between contestants over the years The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have been on TV, but unsurprisingly, there are few lasting relationships as a result of the shows - and even fewer babies. However, some of Bachelor Nation's biggest fan favorites have graced our social media feeds with photos of their sweet little babes, and we can't get enough.

From the Sutters, who have been married for over 10 years, to newer couples that got their start on the reality show and some who found love after the cameras stopped rolling, these are everyone's favorite contestants with kiddos.

Yes, You Definitely Know Who Plays Alex in 13 Reasons Why

13 Reasons Why has slowly taken over our lives, and we've been trying to figure out where we've seen all the cast members before. Some actors, like Brandon Flynn (aka Justin Foley), are just breaking into the industry. Others, like Dylan Minnette (aka Clay Jensen), have been appearing in shows and movies for years. The guy who plays Alex falls into the latter category; his name is Miles Heizer, and he's been acting since 2005, when he appeared on CSI: Miami. That's (probably) not why you know him, though. Heizer starred for six years on NBC's ensemble drama Parenthood. He played Drew Holt, the shy son of Sarah Braverman (Lauren Graham).

If you didn't immediately recognize him, the blond dye job may have thrown you off! In addition to small TV roles, Heizer was in the 2016 film adaptation Nerve alongside Emma Roberts and Dave Franco.

Hand-Pressed Flower Nails Are the Prettiest Accessory For Spring

There's no shortage of creative and pretty nail art inspiration for Spring, but this one tops the lot. Pressed flower nails are our new obsession. Fresh flowers and nail art, what's not to love?

In the words of Miranda Priestly of The Devil Wears Prada, these Spring floral might just be "groundbreaking." The trend uses tiny wild flowers, dried and pressed to create the most dainty accessories. A gel base and top coat will ensure the flowers are fully sealed in and won't lift off the nail. Whether all nails end up covered with the tiny petals, or only few petite flowers and gold flakes give minimalist finish, this look is blooming beautiful!

The best part is that you can do it at home. Get out on a Spring walk, and scout out your own tiny flowers to re-create this adorable art. Press them between the pages of a heavy book until they dry out. If you don't have an at-home gel system be sure to use a good quality top coat twice to seal in the flowers onto your nails.

Pregnant? The 1 Thing You Must Do Right Now

When I was pregnant, there were plenty of things I made sure to do before the baby arrived, whether it was going on a date night or sleeping past 10 a.m. (Though, warning: sleeping past 7 a.m. will soon feel indulgent.) But one thing I didn't do enough of was leave. Just leave.

If you are pregnant and reading this, just stand up and walk out your front door. Right now. Just walk through that door, and close it behind you. Bring a wallet, or not. Take or leave your cell phone, I don't care. Just leave and don't come back for, say, 20 minutes. Go ahead, I'll wait.

Back? OK. That, my friends, is something you'll never take for granted again.

You see, the other day, I was taking some "me time" and spending about 45 luxurious seconds going to the bathroom when I pulled off the last of the toilet paper roll. It was of course only then that I realized I'd forgotten to buy more the last time I was at the store. No big deal, I'll just run out and grab some. Let me briefly explain what "run out and grab some" means, in minutes, to a new mom:

  • 6 minutes: Pack up the diaper bag. It's a short trip, sure, but you've learned the hard way to be prepared.
  • 2 minutes: Brush your teeth. So what if it's past 11 a.m. and you still haven't done that yet? Don't bother with makeup. It's only a TP run, after all. It's not like you are buying actual groceries and thus need to break out the mascara and lip gloss.
  • 20 minutes: Feed baby. It's been a while since she ate, and you don't want to be dealing with a fussy baby the minute you step outside.
  • 3 minutes: Burp baby. Easy peasy!
  • 4 minutes: Change baby's outfit. Not for sartorial purposes, but because that burp just came with a side of spit up. A lot of spit up. While you're at it, you might want to change your shirt, too.
  • 5 minutes: Change baby's diaper. That smell you were trying to ignore during the outfit change isn't getting any better.
  • 1 minute: Check the weather. Looks like baby needs a hat.
  • 1 minute: Find a hat.
  • 4 minutes: Strap baby into car seat. Keep in mind, you aren't anywhere near the car yet.
  • 2 minutes: Grab your purse and keys and diaper bag and car seat and head for the door.
  • 2 minutes: Pee. All this moving around has you needing to go to the bathroom again. Halfway through, you realize the reason for all this: you are out of toilet paper.
  • 1 minute: Look for a tissue, paper towel, baby wipe, anything. Maybe you don't need toilet paper after all?
  • 2 minutes: Grab everything again and head out the door for real this time.

So, 53 minutes later I was finally "running out." It took me nearly an hour to leave the house, and keep in mind that I was still in sweatpants, sneakers, and a ratty ponytail. (Truth: I realized right after I got outside that I forgot to put on deodorant but refused to turn back.)

The lesson here? I never realized how easy it was just to walk out the door before I had a baby. If I could go back in time, I'd tell my pregnant self to just get up - no matter how swollen my feet were - and leave. I'd tell her to enjoy the freedom of being able to decide to leave and actually leave within the same minute.

So, every now and then, just stop what you are doing and go for a walk around the block. Go grab a manicure. Go run to the bodega for a bag of Skittles. Go anywhere. Soon enough you'll have one major (albeit adorable) obstacle between you and the front door.

4 Exciting Tidbits Debra Messing Just Revealed About the Will & Grace Revival

When the cast of Will & Grace reunited for a sketch supporting Hillary Clinton, it was the first time Debra Messing had been the same room with all three of her former costars - Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mullally - in over 10 years. For any fan of the long-running sitcom, that fact might be hard to believe (you're telling me Karen Walker and Jack McFarland don't hang out every day?!), but it's also the reason NBC's upcoming revival of the series is going to be that much sweeter. As fans of the show might remember, the eighth season finale ends with a pretty massive time jump, which sees Grace and Will reuniting in 2026 after years of feuding, but ends on a happy, hopeful note. How will the reboot continue their story?

With information about the show being kept extremely close to the vest, we recently sat down with Messing at an event to celebrate the Dirty Dancing actress's exciting new partnership with CoolSculpting, which she credits with giving her a massive boost of self-confidence just in time for filming Will & Grace. Although she hasn't seen scripts for the show just yet (it doesn't start filming until August), Messing revealed a few choice details about everything from what it's really like on set to how she feels about introducing Grace Adler's story to a whole new generation.

1. Season nine will tackle the time jump ASAP.

"The amount of time that's passed will be addressed very quickly. I don't know exactly how, but it will be addressed. It will start in present day, and then we're off to the races."

2. The jokes will be just as bold as you remember (and probably aimed at Donald Trump).

"It's the classic Will & Grace where the objective is to make you laugh, but also we were known for being edgy, progressive, and for shining a light on every aspect of our culture. Politics, pop culture . . . everything is going to be fodder for comedy. Obviously because of what's going on in our country right now, we felt the need to laugh, so we also wanted to make other people laugh."

3. It's staying true to its sitcom roots.

"Will & Grace was an old-school comedy. It was a four-camera comedy, and there aren't a ton of those left. It's a classic show, so it'll be great to sort of introduce a whole new generation of people to it so they can go back and discover everything that we've done before. I hope that we can make people laugh out loud. Also, I'm excited for them to see the power of storytelling. That was the thing that was so gratifying about doing the show originally, because storytelling is a very important tool. It educates and pushes boundaries and raises questions about what you believe and what's important to you. I look forward to doing that again. "

4. And yes, the cast adores each other.

"[Being back on set] really feels like coming home. We got together for the 10-minute election skit, and it was the first time the four of us were together in 11 years. We've been together in different configurations, but we've all been so busy with wildly different things all over the world, so the opportunity of us all being in one place just didn't come up. And then here we were, just standing on our set, and we all looked around at each other in stunned silence, and then we just started giggling. I was like, 'Oh my God, this is incredible.' I know it's going to be daily laughs again, which was the thing that was so beautiful about the job for eight years. Eric [McCormack] says, 'It's like riding a very old bike.'"

13 Reasons Why: Here's the Guy Who Plays Your Crush, Jeff

13 Reasons Why has one of the strongest young ensemble casts we've seen in years. Katherine Langford and Dylan Minnette are the leads, Hannah and Clay, and they're surrounded by about a dozen high school students, each with their own story. One of the only relatively pure characters in the series - since just about everyone seems to have committed some mild-to-heinous act that pushes Hannah closer to suicide - is Jeff Atkins. He's the jock who Clay tutors in the library, and Jeff helps him with his dating life.

Jeff is played by 22-year-old Brandon Larracuente, who you may recognize from another Netflix drama: Bloodline. Larracuente starred in both season one and two as Ben Rayburn, John and Diana's son.

The New York-born actor has had a handful of small roles over the past few years (like "Attentive Kid" in Max Steel), but that's about it. You can catch him in Baywatch this Summer, if you're eagle-eyed enough to spot him as "Skateboarder #1." He also has a bit part in Bright, Netflix's upcoming thriller starring Will Smith. At this point, it's safe to say Larracuente is an integral part of the Netflix family!
