Tom Daley's Ethereal Wedding Looks Like It Belongs in a Fairy Tale

Tom Daley tied the knot with his longtime love, Dustin Lance Black, in an stunning ceremony at the Bovey Castle Hotel in Dartmoor National Park in Devon, England, over the weekend. And now, thanks to the couple's photographer, Andy Mac, you can get a peek at the intimate nuptials. The couple, who got engaged back in October 2015, wore Burberry suits and wed in front of 120 of their closest friends and family. The reception also included a special performance by the London Gay Men's Chorus. The nearly 23-year-old Olympic diver later gushed about the big day day on Instagram, writing, "👬❤️🎉 Truly unforgettable 🎉 ❤️👬," alongside a photo of him and the 42-year-old Oscar-winning screenwriter watching a fireworks display.

Tom first began dating Dustin in the Summer of 2013, shortly before he came out as bisexual on YouTube. "My life changed massively when I met someone, and they make me feel so happy, so safe, and everything just feels great," he said in the video. "That someone is a guy. It did take me by surprise a little bit." Congrats to the newlyweds!

Dove's Viral New Campaign Features Body Washes Shaped Like Curvy Women

Dove! It's just like . . . us? In the iconic drugstore brand's latest #RealBeauty campaign, it features a lineup of body washes that oddly resemble the Kardashians. Seriously. Dove creative pros have made over the packaging of its famous shower essential to look like women's bodies. All bodies. All sizes. All shapes. You get the idea.

"From curvaceous to slender, tall to petite, and whatever your skin color, shoe size or hair type, beauty comes in a million different shapes and sizes," read a statement on dove.com. "Our six exclusive bottle designs represent this diversity: just like women, we wanted to show that our iconic bottle can come in all shapes and sizes, too."

After the pros behind Dove conducted a Global Beauty and Confidence Report, it revealed that "one in two women feels social media puts pressure on them to look a certain way." Hopefully these kitschy body wash bottles will offer a reminder to be comfortable in your (hydrated!) skin.

Meghan Markle Is Attending Pippa Middleton's Wedding Under 1 Condition

Meghan Markle just scored an invite to one of the biggest weddings of the year. The Suits actress will be Prince Harry's date to Pippa Middleton's wedding to financier James Matthews in May, but she won't be at the ceremony. To ensure that her big day is an intimate gathering, Pippa is enforcing a strong "no ring, no bring" rule, meaning that unmarried and unengaged partners are prohibited from attending the event. The groom's brother Spencer Matthews is also banned from bringing his girlfriend, Vogue Williams, in light of the policy. However, Meghan will be attending the big afterparty later in the evening, as the event tends to be less formal.

Of course, this isn't the first time Meghan has accompanied Harry to a wedding. Earlier this year, they jetted off to Jamaica to watch the royal's childhood friend Tom "Skippy" Inskip - who was popularly known as Harry's "wingman" - tie the knot with literary agent Lara Hughes-Young. Looks like things are getting serious for the two lovebirds.

How Alien: Covenant Connects to Prometheus and the Original Alien

It's been five years since the release of Prometheus, the first of multiple prequels to the iconic Alien film. Nearly 40 years ago, that first film delighted and horrified audiences with the introduction of the malicious and blood-hungry alien race known as Xenomorphs. As the Alien universe continues to grow larger with the release of Alien: Covenant, it's impossible not to look for connections between all the films. Does the new film bring us full circle? Are we finally getting the full picture? Let's break it down.

Before we get to the big answer, let's go over how Alien: Covenant connects to Prometheus. It's pretty simple: Covenant takes place about 10 years after the first film. At the end of Prometheus, we know Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and David (the android played by Michael Fassbender) fly to another planet. They want to find the place where the Engineers (aka the massive human-like beings who created the humans on Earth) lived and not where they conducted their experiments. Seeing as the world in Covenant seems different from the one we see in Prometheus, it's safe to say Shaw and David found what they were looking for. We have clues to confirm it: Covenant's crew finds David and Shaw's ship, and of course, they encounter David himself. So, the biggest connection back to Prometheus is this character. And, of course, the alien monsters (the Xenomorphs) continue to be a thread through all films.

Warning: Spoilers below.

But how does Covenant connect to Alien? Well, it doesn't quite get there . . . yet. Even so, we can begin to see how we might eventually tie everything up. The mission the Alien: Covenant crew is tasked with is to find a new Earth-like planet and colonize it. The hope is to rebuild the human race. It's possible, if the colony mission ends up being a success (we're not entirely sure by the end of the film), that this is where Ripley could come into play. In fact, she could be one of the slumbering colonists on the ship. After all, Prometheus takes place in 2093, and Covenant is in 2104. Alien's setting is the year 2122, so we're only 18 years away from meeting Ripley. In Covenant, we learn there are seven remaining years before the ship reaches the new planet. That puts us at 2111 or 2112, just 10 or 11 years away from the original film. Could the next entry be the final piece of the puzzle? We'll just have to wait and see.

The Meaning Behind That Tiny Jar Symbol on All of Your Beauty Products

Image Source: POPSUGAR Photography / Emily Faulstitch

Sadly, beauty products are not immortal. In case you didn't know, makeup and skincare products have varying shelf lives. It's important to know their respective expiration dates so that you don't end up wasting your time with a dud or - even worse - irritating your skin. Fortunately, most brands will let you know exactly when a product expires thanks to a handy symbol you might not have known about.

On each beauty product, you can find a tiny little jar symbol with a number on it. That jar is referred to as the "period after opening" symbol, and it indicates how many months you can safely use a product after opening it. Is your mind blown yet?

The European Commission made the symbol mandatory in 2003, however, the United States currently does not require all cosmetics to state the expiration date via the PAO symbol. That being said, the Food and Drug Administration does encourage it. In a statement online, the FDA explained, "Manufacturers are responsible for making sure their products are safe. FDA considers determining a product's shelf life to be part of the manufacturer's responsibility."

So next time you find yourself questioning whether a product is past its prime, just look out for that tiny jar to know for certain.

Is Copper the Eye Shadow Color of the Summer? This Trendy Palette Suggests So

Natasha Denona worked as a makeup artist at both the editorial and celebrity level for over a decade before launching her own eponymous makeup line - so you know her stuff is legit. Though she's known for her extensive eye shadow palettes, you might also recognize her popular Face Glow Cream Shimmer, which has a coveted five-star rating on Sephora. Now, Natasha is launching a gorgeous, summery palette that's been met with much excitement.

The Sunset Eyeshadow Palette consists of 15 different shades that range from copper, warm brown, burnt orange, and more. The shadows also vary in their finishes, with some of them being matte and others having a glittery metallic finish.

Now, this palette is definitely a splurge. At $129, it is pricier than other eye shadow palettes. The quality and range of shades, however, do make it a worthwhile investment if you're looking to find that one product to transform your makeup collection this Summer. Ahead, scope out the product before its official launch on May 12.

Meryl Streep's Marriage Has Lasted as Long as Her Career

Meryl Streep knows a thing or two about long-term success, and her marriage is no exception. She and sculptor Don Gummer have been married since 1978, and he's been by her side at a number of industry events and award shows in the years since. Meryl may have been mentioned more than God in Oscars acceptance speeches over the last decade, but at the 2012 Academy Awards, it was her husband who received a sweet shout-out. When Meryl won best actress for The Iron Lady, she said, "First I'm going to thank Don because when you thank your husband at the end of the speech they play him out with the music, and I want him to know that everything I value most in our lives you've given me."

The pair first met after her partner John Cazale - of The Godfather and The Deer Hunter - died of bone cancer. She was invited to move into the vacant apartment of her brother's friend Don, who was traveling abroad, and when Don returned, she ended up staying, and they were married within six months. The couple now have four kids together, including one son and Meryl's three look-alike daughters. Look back at the pair's sweet relationship through the years.

WTF, a Congressman Actually Said "Nobody Dies" From Not Having Healthcare Access

One Republican congressman was met with a boatload of criticism for his seemingly uneducated explanation of the new healthcare bill and its potential effects. In an Idaho town hall meeting on May 5, an attendee asked Rep. Raúl Labrador about the impact the GOP bill would have on Medicaid recipients specifically. "You are mandating people on Medicaid to accept dying," the woman said in the video ahead.

The conservative congressman, who is also a member of the House Freedom Caucus, responded to the woman's concerns in the most rage-inducing way. "No one wants anyone to die," Labrador said. "That line is so indefensible . . . nobody dies because they don't have access to health care." As you may expect, his comment was met with a flurry of boos and yells, which could probably be heard from outside the meeting room.

After catching wind of the backlash on social media, Labrador took to Facebook to offer an explanation of his comments, admitting that his answer "wasn't very elegant." He continued, "I was responding to a false notion that the Republican health care plan will cause people to die in the streets, which I completely reject." He clarified in his Facebook post that the Republican healthcare plan does not alter patients' right to seek emergency hospital care, even if they're unable to pay for it. And yet, here we are still shaking our heads as to why he even made the ridiculous comment in the first place.

Ben Affleck Hires a Limo to Take Seraphina to a Father-Daughter Dance

When you become a teenager, the most important guys in your life become your crush, your boyfriend, and that hot actor in your favorite movie, but when you're 8, your dad still holds the No. 1 spot. Ben Affleck took full advantage of this fact when he took his daughter Seraphina to a father-daughter dance in LA on Saturday night. According to E! News, the Justice League actor pulled out all the stops to make his little girl feel special, including renting a limousine to take them to the dance. Ben, who donned a sharp suit for the special occasion, also gave Seraphina a flower corsage to match the boutonniere she gave him. Once they arrived, the duo stayed close and had a great time. "The two were walking around holding hands and he was very sweet with her," E! News reports. "They both had a lot of fun dancing and hanging out with their friends." Despite Ben and his ex, Jennifer Garner, officially filing for divorce in April, the two, who are also parents to Violet and Samuel, remain a tight family unit.

1 Scene in Alien: Covenant Will Change How You See Michael Fassbender

When it comes to a film like Alien: Covenant, you can count on a few things. First, there will be blood, guts, and terrifying alien monsters bursting out of human bodies. (In fact, you can tell that much just from the film's trailers and the other miscellaneous details we've gotten about the film in the past couple of months.) Second, you can guess that that there's going to be a bleak and twisted ending. But the one thing you might not predict is an awkward kiss, let alone an awkward kiss between Michael Fassbender . . . and Michael Fassbender.

Yes, you read that right. In Covenant, Fassbender reprises his role as David, the almost-too-human artificially intelligent being we first meet in Prometheus. He also plays Walter, a new and improved version of David with the exact same likeness but an entirely different personality. Interestingly enough, Walter and David are so opposite, they almost represent the opposite ends of good and evil spectrum. David reviles human beings and thinks they need to be destroyed. Walter swears by his duty to the crew of the Covenant, and will do anything to protect them. This leads to some pretty interesting scenes between the two androids, but the weird part is the strange, almost sexual tension between them.

Warning: Spoilers follow.

The first time they're alone, David shows Walter how to play the recorder flute. This involves a very intimate lesson in which David says he'll help Walter with the "fingering." Walter puts his hands on David's and guides him through a little, too. It's very Patrick Swayze helping Demi Moore make pottery in Ghost. But in their last scene together, David realizes Walter is not on board with his plan to kill all the humans and decides to kill him. Right before David kills Walter, he plants a very sensual kiss on Walter's lips and stabs him in the neck.

Anyway, that's it. It's a very strange, almost out-of-place moment, and it's very disorienting. But hey, David is a maniac. It makes sense a little bit, too. Here's hoping Michael Fassbender and Michael Fassbender win best kiss at next year's MTV Movie and TV Awards, right?

Texas Might Lower Its Standards For Detention Centers So It Can Detain Children

The GOP-led Texas state legislature has made its anti-immigrant position abundantly clear. After passing a "show me your papers" law through the state Senate, Republican senators are advancing a new bill to legalize "baby jails." The bill would allow day-care immigrant detention centers in the state.

Senate Bill 1018, passed on April 26, seeks to counteract a federal judge's mandate that children cannot be held in facilitates that aren't up to day care standards. Texas currently houses 3,200 immigrants and asylum seekers in private prison facilities; families are held together in detention centers that critics describe as reminiscent of Japanese internment camps.

If the proposed legislation passes through the full senate, SB1018 would exempt private prison facilities from having to adhere to the standards for day cares. The bill has picked up an eerie nickname: "baby jail."

A Presbyterian pastor, Jim Rigby, spoke with The Texas Observer about his interpretation of bill. "Just by having the conversation of whether it's OK to keep children in prison, we're damaging the state of Texas," Rigby said.

After the bill's introduction, an Associated Press investigation revealed that the bill had been authored by a lobbying firm, The GEO Group, which represents a detention center in Texas, The Karnes Residential Center. Republican state representative John Raney openly admitted that the GEO Group wrote SB1018. "I've known the lady who's their lobbyist for a long time," Raney told the Associated Press. "That's where the legislation came from. We don't make things up. People bring things to us and ask us to help."

The bill was approved by the Senate on April 30 and will now be voted on by the House, despite protests from activists and Democratic lawmakers.

5 Things We Know About 13 Reasons Why Season 2

Before Netflix could even announce whether a second season of 13 Reasons Why was a possibility, viewers divided themselves into two camps: those who wanted more episodes and those who absolutely did not. As of May 7, Netflix is forging ahead with season two, and we already have several key details. Of course, more solid information will trickle in over the next few months, but we're at a good starting place. Here's what we know!

1. The Plot

Before the renewal was finalized, we had a few creative theories about how Netflix could continue Hannah's story . . . it sounds like we're mostly wrong, though. Netflix's official statement says that season two "picks up in the aftermath of Hannah Baker's (Katherine Langford) death and the start of the characters' complicated journeys toward healing and recovery." Healing and recovery sounds great, but remember how season one ends? There's potential for a whole lot more damage.

2. The Teaser

The 21-second clip doesn't include any of the main actors, but it does focus on the locations we see in the first season. Liberty High School, The Crestmont, and Baker's Drug Store all flash on screen, meaning we'll probably be revisiting all these places.

3. Who Is Involved?

Creator Brian Yorkey is returning, but we don't yet know if author Jay Asher is helping write the new batch of episodes. In fact, Asher's recent Tweet seems to imply that he won't be involved: "My confident excitement for @13ReasonsWhy Season 2 rests in Brian Yorkey and the mind meld we performed a couple years ago. (And that cast!)" Selena Gomez posted the season two teaser on Instagram, so we can assume she's continuing on as an executive producer. As for the cast, it's very likely that most of them will be back (Ross Butler recently dropped out of Riverdale due to professional conflicts) if the episodes are just a continuation of the first season.

4. What the Cast Has Said

The cast have posted about their excitement for a second season via Twitter and Instagram, but they've remained tight-lipped about what season two could hold. Star Katherine Langford did speak to what she hopes will happen during a red carpet interview with E! News on May 7: "Personally, I would be interested to see more discussion into what's happening afterwards," she said. "It's interesting in the first season we get to see what the characters go through post-Hannah's death. I think Jessica [Alisha Boe] has a really interesting story to tell - and recovery to make."

5. The Premiere Date

Netflix confirmed that the second season will consist of another 13 episodes, which will stream on the site in 2018.

Teen Whisperer Bernie Sanders Plans to Pen a Book For Woke Youth

You can add teen hero to the list of Bernie Sanders's accomplishments, right after meme icon. The Vermont Senator and former presidential candidate will pen a book aimed at politically active teens. Titled The Bernie Sanders Guide to Political Revolution, the book's intention is to inspire teens to get involved with causes they care about.

In an interview with Teen Vogue, Sanders said he hopes the book will encourage and inform youth about how government works in reality (vs. how it is described in history books). "Young people are the future of our country. As citizens of the United States, they have a responsibility to participate in our democracy and to help create a government which works for all, rather than just the few," Sanders said to the magazine. "This book will expose them to an unusual political campaign, the excitement of politics and what being a progressive is all about."

Sanders has written more than one book (and an experimental spoken word album) about political discourse. Sanders's most recent book, Our Revolution: A Future to Believe In, came out after the election and detailed his experience running for president as well as butting heads with the Democratic Party establishment.

The book's Fall release is perfect for back-to-school season, as Sanders's book arrives in stores on Aug. 29 and will cost $17.

We Found the Most Outrageous Sneakers on the Internet

When I first laid eyes on Margiela's Future Destroyed High-Tops, I immediately murmured, "What the . . . ?!" I mean, these sneakers look like they've been through the garbage disposal once or, I don't know, 12 times. They've been pulled apart, poked and prodded at, and the leather has been shaved away. But don't worry, because these guys have been resecured with plenty o' staples. Do you know what else has been slapped onto these shoes? A whopping $1,425 price tag. NBD.

But here's the thing: just as the current Met Gala exhibit - which focuses on Rei Kawakubo's extremely avant-garde pieces pieces for Comme des Garcons - has spotlighted the topic of fashion as art, some might consider these shoes a prized possession based on their intricacies alone. After all, Belgian designer Maison Margiela has been known to challenge the definition of typical silhouettes and produce apparel that's not so much "ridiculous" as it is absurdly striking, and even impressive.

Inspired by my bafflement over these sneakers, my research led to other pairs that can be similarly appreciated for their outrageous details, and yes, more often than not, the shocking sticker price. Once you scroll through, I'm sure you'll agree with me that a wild imagination obviously calls for quite a lot of materials and a pretty hefty budget.

Katy Perry Has a Message For Everyone, Including Taylor Swift: "Don't Come For Me"

It's no secret that Katy Perry and Taylor Swift aren't the best of friends. The two have had a rumored feud for years, and things came to a head in 2014 when Taylor released her song "Bad Blood," which she later hinted to Rolling Stone was about Katy. Since then, Katy's fans have been anxiously waiting for her reply to come in the form of a song, but so far there's been nothing. And Katy recently told Entertainment Weekly that that's not about to change. When asked by the magazine if she thinks the song is indeed about her, she said, "Well, that's not my question to answer - if it's about me. I think [my new album] is a very empowered record. There is no one thing that's calling out any one person."

The "Bon Appétit" singer may not be planning any revenge tracks right now, but she also made it clear that nobody should mistake that silence for not saying anything at all. "One thing to note is: You can't mistake kindness for weakness and don't come for me. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone," she continued. "And that's not to any one person and don't quote me that it is, because it's not. It's not about that. Honestly, when women come together and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period, end of story. But let me say this: Everything has a reaction or a consequence, so don't forget about that, OK, honey. We got to keep it real, honey. This record is not about anyone else! This record is about me being seen and heard so that I can see and hear everyone else! It's not even about me! It's about everything that I see out there that I digest. I think there's a healing in it for me and vulnerability. If people want to connect and be healed and feel vulnerable and feel empowered and strong, God bless and here it is."

5 Reasons Sisters Make the Best Entrepreneurial Duos

Some of the most successful teams - from creative partners to business colleagues to teams on The Amazing Race - have been sibling teams, and it's easy to figure out why: siblings are naturally competitive, they can freely provide feedback, they quickly move on from arguments, and they're each other's biggest cheerleaders. They've been teammates - for better or worse - since the very beginning of their lives.

Take the sisterly duo behind the jewelry brand Dannijo, Danielle and Jodie Snyder. Growing up together in Jacksonville, FL, they "worked" together to teach themselves wirework using their cardiologist father's medical tools. Reconnecting in New York after college, the two picked up their old hobby again, creating a capsule jewelry collection for Danielle's nonprofit, Live With a Lifelong Ambition, and then they officially launched Dannijo in 2008. Today, the jewelry pieces are designed and manufactured in NYC, and the packaging is hand made in Rwanda as part of a women's empowerment partnership with Indego Africa.

The sisters-turned-business partners clearly have similar values and share a vision for their company - to the point where you might not be able to tell where the brand ends and their relationship begins. We asked Danielle to tell us why she thinks business partnerships between sisters tend to flourish, so keep reading for her insights on why this this unique bond lends itself to business success.

See the Faces of Huda Kattan, Manny MUA, and Jeffree Star Drawn as Swatch Art

When we learned that these incredibly realistic portraits of beauty bloggers were created entirely out of makeup, we had to pick our jaw up off the floor. Known as Lanaartisry on her social media channels, Lana is a self-taught makeup artist from Australia who is amazing makeup mavens everywhere with her artistic talent.

Lana uses a base of concealer to start her impressive portraits, which she paints on her arm. She then adds shading with pencil and a variety of colored cosmetics to fill in eye and hair color, as well as applying makeup to the drawn blogger's face. The results are eerily realistic, and Lana even has been reposted by a few of the bloggers she's drawn.

Although Lana has only recently started her blogger portrait series, they're amazing to look at, and we hope she continues making these beautiful pieces of artwork for us to admire.
