You'll Never Skip a Day of Sunscreen Thanks to These 12 Sephora Bestsellers

We're constantly told to slather on SPF year round to protect our skin. But many women (us included) are guilty of skipping the step because, despite its multiple benefits, traditional SPF doesn't always wear too well on the skin. Many sunscreens have a thick consistency, which leaves your skin oily and creates a slippery canvas for makeup when applied to the face. Sunscreen also tends to leave behind an unflattering white cast, which can translate as chalky in photos (and on people of color), that alone causes most of us to nix SPF altogether.

But the bottom line is: sunscreen is essential for minimizing the risks of skin cancer, sunburn, and hyperpigmentation. So whether you're an SPF devotee or a sunscreen skeptic, we've rounded up some of Sephora's top-rated formulas so you have no more excuses when it comes to protecting your skin. These will guarantee your face is moisturized, guarded, and white-cast free!

This Adorable "Frushy" Makeup Brush Is About to Swim Into Your Heart

Beauty is about artistry and glamour, yes, but it should also always be fun. That's why we've really enjoyed the recent trend of funky makeup brushes, like the unicorn horn tools and rose-shaped applicators. However, our favorite of them all so far is the Frushy makeup brush.

Popularized by Instagram makeup artist and influencers, this tool features short synthetic fibers that are perfect for applying foundation, contour makeup, and highlighter. And while reviewers deem the bristles to be of high quality, that's not why we plan on picking up this product. It's the handle! The brush's handle is shaped like a fish (hence the portmanteau name of "Frushy") and is accented with a tail, fins, and scales. You can purchase it in several metallic options - including a fetching rose gold - or in a badass matte black.

The best part of the tool is its price: the Frushy is only $11! For that amount, you can afford to have a whole school of fishy makeup brushes. Keep reading to see all your color choices, then buy your own Frushy here.

How to Rock the Metallic Lipstick Trend Without Looking Like the Terminator

What do runway models, Kylie Jenner, Rihanna, and beauty aficionados have in common? They all have tested 2017's hottest lip trend: metallic lipstick. And they're not the only ones. It seems you can't scroll through an Instagram feed or walk down a busy city street without spotting the high-wattage shine of a lustrous lip. And according to Nick Lujan, Make Up For Ever's pro and media educator, it's completely logical that metallic lipstick is having a moment.

"Social media has shaped the way enthusiasts and artists learn about trends," he explained to POPSUGAR via email. He added that "lips are always trending," and unusual textures and finishes have also become more prevalent on Fashion Week runways (for example, the above image from Prada's Spring 2016 show). "The world is more open than ever to trying new colors and textures," said Lujan.

While applying a metallic lip is actually quite simple, wearing (and rocking!) one can be a little more challenging. Luckily, you can relax if you survived the frosted lip apocalypse of the '80s and '90s. Today's iteration of the style doesn't appear nearly as dated. This is because many of the current metallic formulas leave room for the lip color underneath to breathe.

Lujan recommends applying a lipstick in your favorite color first - "Balancing the metallic with a matte lipstick works best" - then using your finger to tap a metallic pigment on top, focusing the shimmer in the center of the lip. "The technique is similar to the nail trend of chroming or mirroring," he explained. "This will create dimension by allowing the lipstick to peek through." He recommends using Make Up For Ever Star Lit Powder ($21 each) in #2 Frozen Gold or #5 Frozen Purple to start, as they are translucent (perfect for dipping a toe into the trend!) and look gorgeous atop any lipstick shade.

Play with varying colors and textures with metallic accents to tie the overall look together.

If you're still wary of metallic lips, try a neutral or nude color to start as they are easier to wear, and keep the rest of your look minimal. "You don't want to have your lips, eyes, and cheeks in competition for attention on the face," Lujan warned. Lots of mascara, subtle sculpting, and neutral blush should be enough to ground a gleaming grin.

Should you be ready to fully commit to a chromed-out pout, go for it! Play with varying colors and textures with metallic accents to tie the overall look together. For example, if you're using metallic pigments, dust the same shades on lids and cheeks or collarbones for a body bling.

The best part, though? This technique tends to be long-wear! "Applying a top coat of ultrafine metallic-finish pigment will not only create an interesting finish, it will also lock the lipstick in place," Lujan shared. While we wouldn't recommend a hot and heavy metallic makeout session, it's a relief to know that a sip of water or a snack won't result in a sparkling disaster.

In addition to loose pigments, there are plenty of formulas available on the market to help you master the metallic lip look. Keep reading to shop some of our favorite products.

Katy Perry's Gross New Video Is Here to Ruin Your Appetite Forever

Katy Perry has unveiled her video for "Bon Appétit," and let's just say we'd prefer if she maybe kept it to herself. The Migos collaboration is paired with footage of Perry being treated like a literal piece of meat, or pasta, or something edible. (I have no idea what type of food requires being lifted by a gaggle of chefs, then floured, kneaded, boiled, and plated for a buffet at a nightclub.) If you didn't think Santa Clarita Diet was gross enough, watch this.

With 1 Simple Phrase, Trump's Lawyers Just Fueled the Internet's Favorite New Meme

Ever since President Donald Trump took office, there's been a constant buzz surrounding his refusal to release his tax returns. Many have speculated the documents would prove his financial relations with Russia. Considering how Trump just fired FBI Director James Comey while being investigated for his alleged Russian ties, we wouldn't be too surprised if that's the real reason he won't release his returns.

In an attempt to quell the public's doubts, Trump's lawyers addressed the situation in a letter. They explained how after reviewing the last 10 years of his tax returns, they did not show "any income of any type from Russian sources," with few exceptions, according to the Associated Press. As the lawyers didn't release copies of his returns to the AP, these conclusions couldn't be verified.

So wait, let's rewind . . . there are "few exceptions" involved here, apparently? That sounds like a bit of a red flag. When news of this wishy-washy explanation broke on social media, people couldn't help but troll it, and thus the internet's latest Trump-related meme was born.

It's truly about time the Trump administration and team realize that the internet will turn any slight flub into a meme.

Someone Made Cutouts of Sean Spicer to Place in Bushes and It's Too Good

If you're in the mood to make some political commentary with any shrubs around your house, you can now follow one person's lead and try it with a cutout of Sean Spicer's face. Meet "Garden Spicer," cutouts of Sean Spicer's face ready to be placed in among any bush or shrub near you.

Lisa Kadonaga made cutouts of Spicer's face to put in any bushes and wrote about it in a Facebook post. In the post, which has more than 15,000 reactions, 35,000 shares, and 2,000 comments, she writes "Presenting the "Garden Spicer". . . . Now you too can have the White House press secretary in - or rather, "among" - the bushes in your yard." You can read the full post ahead.

Presenting the "Garden Spicer". Here's something I made this afternoon. Now you too can have the White House press...

Posted by Lisa Kadonaga on Thursday, May 11, 2017

The story about Spicer hiding in some bushes near the White House begins on May 9. Spicer tried to dodge questions about President Trump's firing of former FBI director, James Comey, by going towards some bushes. The story, which was almost too ridiculous to believe, was further corrected by The Washington Post on May 10 to say Spicer wasn't hiding in the bushes but among them.

The internet quickly poked fun at the entire situation and Spicer's behavior, which makes it no surprise that someone created the "Garden Spicer." Kadonaga warns that the "image will run" if it's placed outside, but it's "exactly what Sean Spicer does, so it's totally authentic!" She also writes that she "can easily make more," so if you really want one for your own home, it might actually be possible.

Most People Wouldn't Sip Wine at a Fashion Show, but Rihanna Is Not Most People

Rihanna showed up in style for Dior's Cruise 2018 runway show in Calabasas, CA, on Thursday. The "Work" singer rocked her cowgirl finest as she walked into the function with a hair flip, then shared a laugh with Kelly Rowland before taking her seat in the front row next to rapper Big Sean. In true Rihanna fashion, she held on to a glass of white wine as she took in the show - remember, this is the same legend who brought her own flask to the Grammys, so . . .

Rihanna has been having an exciting May; she recently shut down the Met Gala with her jaw-dropping Comme des Garcons look and linked up with pal Lupita Nyong'o inside for some much-needed selfies, and she dropped new styles for her Fenty x Puma line days later. The 1 Royal With Better Bling Than Kate Middleton - Seriously!

In 10 years, the woman who was christened Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano went from news anchor to queen of Spain, and just one of the ways in which her life has changed can be charted by the contents of her jewelry box.

As she inched into royal life on the arm of her boyfriend and then fiancé, Prince Felipe VI, she gradually flashed some of her new baubles, along with some subtle pieces borrowed from her mother-in-law, Queen Sofía. As soon as she became princess of Asturias on her wedding day, it was all about the tiaras, suites of vintage jewels, and lavish designer gifts. However, since her husband became king in June 2014, the newly minted Queen Letizia has moved forward with increasingly quirky and colorful pieces that include elements like brass mesh and semiprecious insects. Here we take a look at some of her most important, impressive, and interesting items.

Riverdale: No, Jughead Is Not His Real Name, You Jugheads

If you're watching Riverdale, then you're probably mildly obsessed with Cole Sprouse's character, Jughead Jones. And if you're not, you're completely missing out. Even though he's the mysterious loner from the wrong side of the tracks, his innate ability to do the right thing paired with his star-crossed romance with Betty Cooper make him the ultimate underdog we can't help but root for. While Archie is often painted as the show's central character, Jughead's real name proves he's the true hero of the story.

In Archie comics, Jughead's birth name is Forsythe Pendleton Jones III, after his father, Forsythe "FP" Pendleton II. Although it's not the juxtaposed properness of his name that has our attention, it's the meaning behind it. According to Ancestry.com, the Scottish named is loosely translated to "man of peace." If The CW does indeed decide to make Jughead's full name canon, it could play a major role in his character's exploration next season. As the season finale teased, Jughead is at a crossroads between the light and dark side. While he loves Betty Cooper and all of his friends in Riverdale, he can't deny his father's roots with the Southside Serpents. But what if he doesn't have to chose one or the other? What if he's actually the one person who brings them together?

It certainly wouldn't be too far-fetched. As Betty pointed out during the Jubilee, Jughead is the heart of Riverdale. He doesn't see things as black and white like the rest of the town, he sees things for what they really are. That's part of what makes Betty and Jughead such a great team. They strive for the truth and don't let labels hold them down. Sure, there are bound to be many trials for the star-crossed couple as they approach this new milestone in their relationship, but we have a feeling their love story will have a happier ending than Romeo and Juliet.

Chris Pratt Makes Ellen Shed Actual Tears During a Hilarious Game of Speak Out

Just when you thought Chris Pratt reached his funny quota for the year and probably couldn't do anything else to make you actually double over with laughter, he goes and stops by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to prove everyone wrong. The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star, who recently got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, played a hilarious game of Speak Out with the host on Friday, where he attempted to say random phrases while wearing a mouth piece. While the entire thing is funny, Ellen started to actually cry from laughing when Chris tried to say "I'm gonna bump you." Honestly, just watch the whole thing above to have your entire day made.

This Congressman Thinks You Can Buy Birth Control at Grocery Stores

Another day, another GOP congressman is in trouble with his constituents after insinuating that women can get birth control at grocery stores. The comment, made at a recent town hall, comes from Representative Glenn Grothman who has previously made inflammatory statements.

Grothman, who represents Wisconsin's sixth congressional district, held a town hall in Neenah, WI, on April 30. During the meeting, a constituent calmly explained to him that her daughter receives care at Planned Parenthood because her employer doesn't offer medical benefits. So she asks him, "Help me understand why you want to defund planned parenthood and please do not use abortion as an excuse."

Of course, Grothman begins his answer by stating that Planned Parenthood is the "biggest abortion provider in the country." He then goes on to suggest that women can receive birth control at pharmacies and grocery stores. The crowd lets him have it, yelling at him and shouting "Be honest." You can watch a clip of the exchange ahead.

This isn't the first and most likely won't be the last incendiary comment Grothman makes. He's previously said that he believes the government "bribes" people to stay single and have children to receive welfare benefits; that Pell grants shouldn't go towards low-income or first-year students; and that black people don't care about Kwanzaa. He is up for reelection in two years.

The Heirs of the Benefit Cosmetics Empire Share the Tips They Learned From Their Mom

Maggie and Annie Ford Danielson are living your best life. The sisters are the daughters and nieces of Benefit Cosmetics's founding duo Jean and Jane Ford. Now in their 30s, the sisters both have roles in the company. Maggie holds the title of account director for HSN and a global beauty authority, while Annie is the keeper of brand DNA and a global beauty authority. In addition to playing with Benefit products and seeing the new launches early, they help run the family business.

Here, in honor of Mother's Day, they share the tips they learned from their mom growing up. Let's just say Maggie made the case for leaving your face cleanser by the sink, and Annie convinced us to apply our moisturizer upside down. Keep reading to learn why!

  1. Maggie: "My sister and I first got exposed to makeup from peeking in our mom's drawers. We would watch her get ready, and we would then copy her. Our mom would always tell us that less is more when it comes to makeup, and we spent a good part of our lives ignoring this rule of thumb . . . until now!"
  2. Annie: "Our favorite beauty tip we got from our mom is to always groom your brows before you step out of your house. If you only have time to do one thing before you leave the house, it is this. It will make you look finished, even if it's all you're wearing. Plus, you will notice that you don't need as much makeup."
  3. Annie: "When I have a case of the spider lashes, I keep a paper clip that I unfold to help separate the lashes into a more natural place (or obviously, just use They're Real!)."
  4. Maggie: "If you haven't had a chance to get your brows shaped by a professional, embrace the overgrown brow, aka feathered look. If you don't have a brow gel, spray some hairspray on an old toothbrush and direct the hairs upward. You will instantly look more awake!"
  5. Maggie: "When applying concealer, run your fingertips under warm water to heat them up before blending."
  6. Annie: "Keep two spoons in the fridge at all times to help with lack-of-sleep eye puffiness. Using the back of the cold spoon is a quick fix to decrease puffiness before I apply my makeup."
  7. Maggie: "Leave your face cleanser by the kitchen sink. That way, cleansing your skin will be the first thing you do when you come home rather than the last thing you do before you go to bed."
  8. Annie: "Moisturize . . . upside down. It works! Lie on your bed and tilt your head all the way back while you massage the cream into your skin. Increased circulation will help absorption. It's like performing your own mini facial. It works by bringing the blood to the surface of the skin; it's invigorating and gets the moisture going more quickly."
  9. Maggie: "When I run out of makeup wipes and am much too exhausted to wash my face before bed, reach for a baby wipe. They're gentle and do a great job of removing the day."
  10. Maggie and Annie: "Our No. 1 beauty secret that we learned from mommy dearest is to SMILE. It instantly makes you look gorgeous and more youthful."

How Miss USA Contestant Sarah Mousseau Stays Confident While Living With Alopecia

Sarah Mousseau is Miss New Hampshire and a contestant in the upcoming Miss USA competition. Here, she bravely shares her struggle with alopecia and vitiligo exclusively with POPSUGAR. Tune in to FOX on Sunday, May 14, at 8 p.m. ET to watch the Miss USA competition live.

People can struggle with confidence at any age, and building it in your early years is essential as you get older. I was 8 years old when my mom noticed I had patches where my hair had fallen out on the back of my head. A doctor's visit a few weeks later confirmed that I was losing my hair due to the autoimmune disease alopecia.

Alopecia areata causes hair loss in some or all areas of the body, usually from the scalp, because the immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles. You can imagine how hard this was for me to understand as a young child. (Doctors still aren't even sure why this happens, and there is no cure for the disease.)

I tried to not allow the hair loss to bother me and even refused the painful treatments that could potentially prevent the hair loss. When my parents expressed concern with my well-being and how I was handling it emotionally, I would nonchalantly tell them, "I'm not dying - if I lose all of my hair, you can just put a wig on me!"

I learned that my self-worth was determined not by my outward appearance, but by life experiences and opportunities.

However, as I entered my teenage years, I began to experience the insecurities that so many young girls do when we enter middle school and high school. I was embarrassed by how I looked and was filled with self-doubt. I wouldn't acknowledge the cause of it and tried hard to cover up new bald spots as they appeared. Later, I was also diagnosed with vitiligo, another autoimmune disease which caused large patches of my skin to lose pigmentation.

It took a long time, but as I grew older, these diseases bothered me less and less. I learned that my self-worth was determined not by my outward appearance, but by life experiences and opportunities. I found myself through singing and songwriting and through academics, excelling in school and eventually earning my Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology. I began to see these "flaws" as just another part of me. I grew into the confident woman I am today by not only accepting my differences, but embracing them as a part of who I am.

Several weeks ago, I noticed new bald spots on my scalp. Instantly my confidence was shaken, as I knew I was leaving for the Miss USA competition in just a few weeks. I felt as if I was back in high school all over again. I was anxious, self-conscious, and worried about how this would impact my time at Miss USA. In the weeks that have followed, I keep thinking back to my childhood, asking myself, "What would 8-year-old Sarah do?" I repeat my mantra to myself: you are enough. I am confident and comfortable enough in myself to know that these "imperfections" are what shaped me into the woman I am today.

I'll get to walk across the Miss USA stage this Sunday along with 50 other women, all of whom have insecurities of their own just like me. It is your imperfections that make you beautiful, and I am proud to stand on a national stage with mine.

8 Awesome Perks of Being Bilingual

Coming from an Ecuadorian-American family, the first language I ever learned to speak was Spanish. I asked for everything from my comida to my juguetes, until it was finally time to go to school and I picked up English. In my 20s now, I speak both languages fluently and I'm so thankful for that. Being bilingual has helped me in the professional sense - opening more doors and possibilities - and personally, too, by helping me create stronger bonds with my friends and giving me a part of my culture I'm able to teach my boyfriend.

If you're also bilingual (whether it's Spanish and English or another combination), you know there are even more perks to speaking more than one language. It can be as simple as getting around abroad without any issues or as great as getting free things from people who also speak your second language, but those small things make a huge difference. Scroll ahead for eight amazing pluses of being a polyglot.

7 Habits I Had to Form to Finally Lose the Weight

I've always been an active person, but when I gained 15 pounds after getting an IUD, I had to get real about my diet and workouts. I hired a personal trainer at Equinox, and remarkably, she didn't tell me to download a calorie-counting app or work me until I dropped. Her tips for weight loss proved to be practical and therefore achievable. I lost four percent body fat in three months and felt stronger than I ever have in my life. I now can squat and deadlift my weight! I can fit in my skinny jeans again. The thing is . . . I did have to makes some big changes to my daily routine to lose the weight, and now there's no going back.

1. Strength Train With Cardio

Before Equinox, yoga was my main form of exercise. Though I was going five days a week, I didn't feel like I was getting stronger. Enter my personal trainer. She recommended strength training as my number one priority followed by cardio. I strength trained two to three times a week and did cardio two times a week (usually on the stair master). For my active rest days, I did yoga or Pilates, two times a week. I also started walking an upward of seven miles several days a week.

2. Challenge Myself at Every Workout

My trainer encouraged me to increase the weight I lifted almost every week, even just a smidge, like two pounds. I resisted at first. After all, over the holidays, I broke a capillary in my eye from lifting too much weight. However, my trainer started me out with low weights and slowly increased the amount. I surprised myself by how quickly I was able to keep up and even found myself asking for more. The same rule here applies for cardio, yoga, and Pilates. I find a little way to challenge myself each time, whether it is increasing the mileage, holding side plank for longer, or perfecting my 100 series with straight legs.

3. Cut Out Sugar

Working out is only part of the equation. Diet is even more important, my trainer told me. I had to break my sugar addiction. I decided to stop cold turkey: no sugar, honey, agave, etc. Though some people say it's the worst thing ever, saying "no" to sugar countless times throughout the day helped me feel strong, like I was in charge - not my cravings. I also had to pay attention to nutrition labels, and avoid anything with more than four grams of sugar. Dried fruit, as it turns out, is a sugar bomb! As are smoothies from smoothie joints. Sugar lurks in many, unexpected places.

4. Choose Protein and Fat Instead of Carbs

If unchecked, I will eat over 50 percent of my calories in carbs. But that wasn't really working out for me. Though challenging, I reframed my meals so they consisted of mostly protein and healthy fats. I would have bulletproof coffee and smoked salmon with avocado for breakfast rather than a bowl of cereal or oatmeal. For lunch, it's veggie-chicken soup or salads loaded with diced chicken or canned tuna. Dinner consists of baked fish, steak, or chicken with a plate full of veggies (usually roasted broccoli). During the in-between times when I was hungry, I skipped my usual snack of dried fruit or crackers and make a protein shake (Moon Juice Blue Adaptogen plus water) or eat a spoonful of raw almond butter instead.

5. Stop Drinking Alcohol

Over the last year, I started drinking more days out of the week than not - usually just one to two drinks, yet it was enough to cause me to put on the pounds. While weight training, I discovered that even one drink would cause my DOMs to flare up and last for days. However, if I didn't drink, I could recover very quickly, usually within a day. Though I am not 100-percent dry, I always seem to regret drinking the next day, so I've cut way back and reserve drinking for special occasions.

6. Schedule My Carbs For Before and After Workouts

"I lost 10 pounds just by scheduling my carbs around my workouts," my friend told me. Inspired by that, I wanted to follow suit, and my trainer supported that mentality. I would eat brown rice, whole wheat crackers, fruit, potatoes, and beans before or after a workout and limited my carb intake the other times of the day. If, in the afternoon, I experienced a huge slump (and protein/nut butter didn't help), I'd have a small serving of plain popcorn for a little boost.

7. Cook Mostly at Home, but Plan For Meals Out

I prepared almost all my meals at home, and kept things simple. I kept the kitchen stocked with frozen meat, canned tuna, and vegetables galore. I used an Instant Pot to make big batches of brown rice, oatmeal, beans, and lentils on Sunday to last me through the week. That said, my trainer said it's OK to have one off day of the week where you may indulge in the bad stuff, whether it be a cocktail or chips with queso, french fries, a cheese plate, etc. So, 6/7 days I'd have an A+ diet, while one of those days, I might indulge in a slice of pizza or an IPA. I found letting loose (just a bit) and having a cheat day helped me stay on track and feel balanced.

6 Men Who Were Romantically Linked to Princess Diana

It's almost been 20 years since Princess Diana's tragic death and there's still so much interest in her life, especially her love life. Diana famously tied the knot with Prince Charles in a lavish ceremony in 1981, and they later welcomed two children together, Prince William and Prince Harry. While the former princess only walked down the aisle once, she was romantically linked to a few other men both during and after her marriage. Here are six men who caught Diana's eye.

The 11-Year-Old Prince of Norway Dabs, Generally Has No Chill During Royal Ceremony

Image Source: Getty / Patrick van Katwijk

King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway celebrated their 80th birthdays this week with a string of massive events in Oslo. Despite the high-profile guest list - which included Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden and Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco - it was the couple's 11-year-old grandson, Prince Sverre Magnus, who stole the show with his antics on the balcony of the Royal Palace. On Tuesday, Sverre was either really bored or really excited by the giant crowd of well-wishers that formed in front of the palace, because he started acting pretty extra while up there with the rest of his family. A video on Twitter showed the young royal throwing peace signs (innocent enough) before hitting a dab for the fans (and you thought the dab was over, huh?)

Even though the adults didn't notice or seem to mind Sverre's stunts, his cousin, Leah Isadora Behn, was not having it; the 12-year-old looked visibly annoyed with him, even trying to force his arms down and keeping her arms crossed like, "Here we go again with this guy." Dab on, Sverre Magnus. Dab on.

The Heartbreaking Thing Prince William Told Diana After She Lost Her Title in the Divorce

Image Source: Getty / Anwar Hussein

When Prince Charles and Princess Diana ended their marriage in 1996, their oldest son, Prince William, was just 14 years old. At the time, he was a student at Eton College studying biology, art history, and geography and playing soccer and water polo. He hadn't yet begun his official royal duties or military career. For all intents and purposes, he was a normal teenager - besides, you know, the whole being king one day thing - and most normal teenagers are pretty bummed about their parents splitting up. But as second in line to the British throne, William recognized his (future) power and made a promise to his mother that is both incredibly adorable and incredibly heartbreaking.

Charles and Diana's divorce was finalized in August 1996, but some drama surrounding her royal title ensued. Queen Elizabeth II reportedly wanted to let Diana keep the style of her royal highness, but Charles was "adamant" that she give it up - instead, she was given the title Diana, Princess of Wales. The loss of the honorific separated Diana from the rest of the family in such a way that she had to curtsy to those that had it, including her own children. William is said to have comforted his mother after the loss of her title by saying, "Don't worry, Mummy, I will give it back to you one day when I am king."

Tragically, Diana was killed in a car crash just a little over a year after William made his touching vow to her. In the decades after her death, both he and his brother, Harry, have opened up about their mother, sharing stories about their time with her as well as honoring her impact, both with the charities they support and the traditions she's passed on to them.

Why Obamacare Isn't Going Away Just Yet

Donald Trump and Paul Ryan celebrated after the House passed the AHCA, but that win is only the first step.

"We're going to get this passed through the Senate. I feel so confident," President Donald Trump proclaimed from the White House on May 4, after the House of Representatives passed the American Health Care Act (AHCA). Yet that same day, senators from the president's own party announced that, instead, they'd start from scratch on their healthcare legislation - and take their time doing it.

"We're writing a Senate bill and not passing the House bill," explained Republican Senator Lamar Alexander. "Any bill that has been posted less than 24 hours - going to be debated three or four hours, not scored - needs to be viewed with suspicion," tweeted GOP veteran Senator Lindsey Graham, noting that the lower chamber of congress didn't even bother to wait for an assessment on cost and impact from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) before voting yes. And when asked if there was a chance the Senate would pass the House's bill, fellow Republican Senator Bob Corker answered: "No. Zero." Not exactly a warm welcome. If this all seems confusing to those of us outside the beltway, we understand - and we have some answers about what it means and what the future of healthcare really looks like.

What Needs to Happen for the AHCA to Become Law

The AHCA has scored public approval ratings around 17 percent. Compare that to a recent 55 percent approval rating for Obamacare, which is now more popular with American voters than President Trump himself. Putting aside the stark unpopularity of the House bill, it may be the inner workings of Congress that undermine it. Here's everything that needs to happen before President Trump truly gets his "win" on Obamacare repeal and replace:

  • The Senate's working group on healthcare will begin drafting a Senate version of healthcare reform, which they hope will receive support from at least 50 of the 52 Republicans in the Senate.
  • In the meantime, the CBO will put out a rating on the AHCA bill the House passed. This is likely to predict that millions of Americans will lose healthcare coverage and cause public outcry. Lawmakers will have to address frustrated constituents at town hall meetings, and any backlash could impact the drafting of the Senate's bill. The working committee has already faced public outcry, since Senate Leader Mitch McConnell handpicked 13 men, and no women, to lead the drafting.
  • As the Senate brings it's healthcare bill to the floor, Democratic senators may raise issues about what's in it. Because Republicans are attempting to pass healthcare reform through a procedure called "budget reconciliation," every portion of the bill must directly affect the federal budget. If they do not, then those parts of the bill can be thrown out.
  • Once the Senate has a final bill that pleases at least 50 senators, they will vote. There are 52 Republicans in the Senate, so they can only afford to lose two votes. If they only get 50 senators, Vice President Mike Pence will be called on to break the tie.
  • After the Senate votes, the bill will have to be reconciled with the House's AHCA, meaning the differences will have to be worked out. That can happen in conference committees or by sending different versions back and forth for amendments.
  • Once a compromise bill is finalized, each chamber will have to vote again on the final bill, before it heads to President Donald Trump to sign.
The final vote might not come until after the 2018 midterm elections.

Despite the rigorous process, we shouldn't underestimate Republican lawmakers' ability to get something through, says Michele L. Swers, a professor at Georgetown University's Department of Government. "They have strong incentives to do it because the people who voted for them have been promised this since 2010." But questions remain about when an Obamacare replacement will actually happen and how extreme the final repeal will be. As of now, Senate leaders have suggested they will have a Senate bill by August. And Swers says there's reason to believe the final vote by both houses might not come until after the 2018 midterm elections. That means we'll be living under Obamacare for at least another year.

Who Could Get in the Way of the AHCA Becoming Law

Senator Susan Collins is among moderate Republicans who could undermine the current AHCA.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has assembled a working group of 13 men to put together the Senate's version, and the group includes some staunch conservatives, like Senator Ted Cruz. Despite that, most experts agree the AHCA will only get more moderate as it works through the Senate. That's because the rules and makeup of the Senate differ from the House, which can generally push things through easily with a simple majority. Here's a breakdown of forces that could get in the way of the AHCA's more conservative elements becoming reality:

  • President Trump:

As of now, the White House is backing off senators to let them do their jobs without a strict timeline. But as the Summer drags on, Trump could get itchy for another perceived win. "I think he will try to stay out of it, but then the process will proceed too slowly for him and he will be forced to tweet," explains Professor Swers. "The Senate moves very, very slowly, and he doesn't have a lot of patience or knowledge of the legislative process." If Trump pushes the Senate to act too quickly, like he did the first time with the failed push in the House, it could disrupt the process. In addition, Trump's off-message remarks on healthcare or other distractions (like the recent firing of FBI Director James Comey) could slow momentum.

  • The Senate Parliamentarian:

Elizabeth MacDonough, the current parliamentarian, WAS appointed by McConnell in 2012. Think of her as the Senate's referee. The parliamentarian serves as an impartial adviser who determines what can and cannot be done under the Senate's reconciliation process, a process Republicans want to use to repeal Obamacare so they don't need to get 60 votes required to avoid a filibuster and thus support from Democrats. In order to qualify, a bill must only include a provision that directly affects the federal budget. If objections are raised by Democratic senators about specific provisions of the bill, the parliamentarian can rule on whether those provisions do in fact apply to the federal budget. If the parliamentarian rules that they are not relevant to the budget, then the provisions must be taken out. Or, the bill will need to go through the regular process and achieve 60 votes in the Senate, which is harder because Republicans only have 52 senators.

It appears that some key insurance regulations included in the AHCA may not meet the parliamentarian standard, which could undermine the feasibility of the entire bill. Of course, Republican senators could also change the rules. Swers points out that Trump is already agitating for the Senate to get rid of the legislative filibuster altogether, which means all Senate business could be passed with a simple majority and Republicans wouldn't have to worry about budget reconciliation rules. They also could choose to ignore rulings of the parliamentarian and decide that things are related to the budget even if the parliamentarian has ruled that they're not. "Both of those things would be setting new historical precedents," Swers cautions.

  • Moderate Senators:

When assembling his working group for the Senate's healthcare bill, McConnell chose not to include any women on the panel. Swers points out that there are simply few female Republican senators to begin with (four to be exact). Even so, Republican Senator Susan Collins does have experience on healthcare and was nonetheless excluded from the working group. One explanation? Collins tends to be more moderate and favors funding Planned Parenthood, for example.

"When crafting the working group on healthcare, McConnell appeared more attentive to the views of the party leadership and the far right wing of the party and less attentive to trying to craft a bill that could get the support of more moderate members," explains Laurel Harbridge-Yong, a professor of political science at Northwestern University. This move could backfire. Yong says excluding moderate members may leave them feeling free to oppose the legislation, since they weren't involved in crafting it.

If you live in Maine, Alaska, Louisiana, Nevada, or Arizona, your senators may have the power to stop it.

Susan Collins isn't the only moderate senator who could vote no, or at least threaten a no vote as leverage to impact the bill. If you live in Maine (Collins's state), Alaska, Louisiana, Nevada, or Arizona, your senators may have the power to stop the AHCA as we know it. Remember: Republicans have have 52 seats in the senate and can only lose two Republican votes. Five senators from these states may have reason to defect. Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, and Bill Cassidy of Louisiana are all considered maybe votes, due to their more moderate stances and history of not being swayed by national party unity over concern for local constituents. Then there are Dean Heller of Nevada and Jeff Flake of Arizona, who are up for reelection in 2018 in very competitive races. If any of these senators represent you, giving them a call to voice your opinion on the AHCA may have a real impact.

On top of this, Yong says the exclusion of women senators, who are not exclusively moderate, could have negative consequences. "Excluding women may hurt them in building a compromise as research and Senator's own statements indicate that women have often been more likely to reach compromises and consensus on a range of issues." In addition, Yong believes that "excluding women has a potentially harmful messaging effect, since it suggests the GOP does not care what this bill does for women's health." It's not a good look to have 13 men shape a bill that potentially deems sexual assault and C-sections preexisting conditions and drops maternity coverage from the list of mandatory coverage.

How the AHCA Could Change Beyond Recognition

Professor Yong says bringing the more moderate and conservatives sides of the GOP together is perhaps the major obstacle facing the AHCA. She notes that the the far right wants a full repeal - or at least major changes to even popular provisions. Moderates, on the other hand, may want to keep more coverage for preexisting conditions and reduce cuts to Medicaid found in the House bill. In fact, about a dozen Republicans in the Senate, including Rob Portman who is on the working group, have said they're concerned about cutting $800 million from Medicaid, as proposed in the House bill.

If the moderating forces in the Senate are successful in changing the AHCA to make it less extreme, it could find trouble making it through the House again. "Both the House and the Senate will need to pass the same bill," Yong explains. The House's conservative Freedom Caucus will ultimately have to agree to any changes that helped get the bill through the Senate. Speaker Paul Ryan and his members will likely be left with a choice: give up on a healthcare bill or pass something less pleasing to the far right.

A Guide to Picking Out the Songs For Your Wedding

Music is a big part of most weddings, and if you've already started planning one, you know there are more than a few decisions to be made. Whether you decide to hire a band or a DJ or provide the wedding's soundtrack with your own iPod, we have a wedding music guide to help you through. Below, you'll find all the major categories for music you'll need to figure out, as well as other parts of the day you may not have thought of yet. Check out the list for guidelines on music you need to think about, whether you're an indie rock bride or a country Western couple.

  • Processional: This is the music that accompanies the walk down the aisle. You'll need to pick a song for your bridesmaids to walk down the aisle to, and then a song for the bride's entrance. There are traditional choices like "Here Comes the Bride," of course, but you can do other classic alternatives like Pachelbel's Canon in D (like in Father of the Bride) or something totally different to personalize it. Love a song but not the lyrics? Have an instrumental version played. We have a few ideas for the processional.
  • Recessional: The recessional is like the opposite of the processional - it's when you walk down the aisle, but the other way. For your big exit, you could go with something more upbeat because the pressure is off now that you've gotten through the vows. (Think the scene in Love Actually when the band plays "All You Need Is Love.") Here are some ideas for the recessional.
  • Cocktail hour music: If you choose to host a cocktail hour between the ceremony and reception, it's good to have a playlist of songs to set the mood. The music should be low-key but convivial - you're not trying to get anyone to dance yet, but you don't want to put anyone to sleep either.
  • Reception entrance: This is a song to mark the bride and groom's entrance into the reception, usually with the wedding party in tow. It should be celebratory, not unlike the recessional song, and it's a good chance to set the tone for the party. If you want to introduce your wedding party first, you'll also need a separate song for them.
  • The first dance: Yes, everyone knows they need a first dance, but most people struggle trying to find the perfect song. If you don't already have "your song," we have plenty of first dance song suggestions.
  • Father/daughter dance: Traditionally, the father of the bride takes a spin with his daughter on the dance floor after the first dance. It can be something personal or traditional, and if you need some father/daughter dance song ideas, we've got them. Similarly, some couples also have a mother/son dance or simply integrate that into the father/daughter dance at the end.
  • Reception music: Whether you pick all, most, or some of your dance music depends on how in control of the playlist you want to be. Even if you give your DJ free rein, you may want to make a Do Not Play list - a list of songs that you really don't want to hear for whatever reason (you might not want your reception to be remembered for trying to bring back "The Macarena"). For songs you do want, though, we have lots of ideas, from fun pop hits to '80s songs. To end the evening, some couples also opt to have one song close out the event (doesn't The Wanted's "Glad You Came" seem perfect for this?).
  • Cake-cutting: If you make your cake-cutting a ceremonial event, pick out an upbeat song since it is usually a cute, sweet part of the evening. (Tip: if you have a first dance song that you rule out because it's too fast-paced, it might be perfect for cake-cutting.)
  • Bouquet toss: For this fun part of the wedding, another upbeat song is in order, and since you're commanding the wedding's single ladies to the floor, you can go literal ("Single Ladies") or just pick another fun, romantic song. And if you choose to have a garter toss, the same rules apply.

A Multimillionaire Reveals the Best Thing About Being Crazy-Rich

Let's say you were handed $8 million today, no strings attached. What would you most look forward to about being rich? Buying a nice house or car? Traveling first-class? Quitting your job and enjoying all that unstructured time? According to one multimillionaire app developer on Reddit, none of these things comes close to the biggest satisfaction he gains from being rich: using his fortune to make others happy.

The millionaire, a Redditor named regoapps who says he's in his early 30s, admits that there certainly are aspects of happiness that money can buy. For example, the freedom of not answering to anyone is sugar-sweet. Not having to set an alarm or impress a boss is a huge relief. Additionally, being able to splurge on things that will save you time - for instance, skipping the TSA lines at the airport with Global Entry - is gratifying and makes you feel like you bought back all that personal time.

The best kind of splurging, however, is the kind you do for others. Regoapps sums up the best part of being rich like this:

It sucks to feel like your hands are tied and you can't help others. That's how I used to feel when I saw people struggling financially and I didn't have the money yet to do something about it. Nowadays I have funded other people's kids' college funds, tipped people much more than what I was paying for, custom built an Iron Man suit to cheer up kids at hospitals, helped get clean water to villages that before didn't have access to it, and etc. It feels great to be able to help, especially when I can do it anonymously and just walk away.

When it comes to spending money on others, I just splurge. Spending money on myself doesn't always make me that much happier. But I noticed that when I spend the money on others, they feel very, very happy. And seeing them smile makes me smile, too.

So maybe it's true that money can't buy love - but it can provide that warm and fuzzy feeling that comes from helping others.
