We thought we'd seen it all from marble beauty trends after marble lip art, marble nail art, and even Valentine's Day marble nail art, but the latest marble style proves this melting trend isn't going anywhere. Hair marbling is the new hair dyeing technique that creates beautiful tie-dye shades, but it's the way the formula is created that's so mesmerizing.
First spotted by Allure, hairstylist Ash Fortis has made hair marbling her signature style after wanting to bring the popular nail art trend to hair. What makes marbled hair so special is that the results are unique every single time.
To create the dye formula, Fortis explained that she starts with putting a layer of shaving cream onto foam mesh strips. Using Pulp Riot dye, she spreads different bright colored dyes on top of the cream and uses the back of her color brush to create marbled, swirled designs on the strip. When the design is ready, she separates the hair and presses a small section of the hair onto the strip with the dye and places a clear strip on top. She does this for multiple sections of hair. The result is a beautiful, multicolored design.

On Late Night, Seth Meyers tackled James Comey's opening statement released prior to his testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee. The host analyzed the statement's contents and took every opportunity to slam Donald Trump's inappropriate behavior.
At the top of the segment, Meyers touched on the president's frequent attempts at communicating with the former FBI director. Specifically, they had nine one-on-one conversations in four months. Meyers jokes, "Nine times? To put that in perspective, he's only talked to Eric [Trump] five times ever - and three of those were just 'What's your name again?'"
In another moment, Meyers addressed the time that Comey went to dinner with Trump not knowing who else would be in attendance, only to find out that it would only be the two of them: "This is starting to sound less like All the President's Men and more like a Lifetime original movie." Madison Mill has voluntarily recalled two versions of its foldaway expandable baby gate due to potential entrapment and strangulation hazards.
"A young child's neck can fit into the 'V' shaped opening along the top edge of the gate, posing entrapment and strangulation hazards to young children," The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's website reads. "Also, young children can pass under the gate allowing access to restricted areas, such as stairs."
The gates included in the recall are the Madison Mill 23, which expands to three feet, and the Madison Mill 25, which expands to five feet - both of which were sold in independent hardware stores and online from January 2013 through May 2017. The company is urging consumers to cease use of these gates and to contact Madison Mill for a full refund.
Although this recall is for the Madison Mill brand in particular, should you have similar type of expandable gate of any brand in your home, be sure to give it a full look to make sure your child's neck or head cannot fit into any of the openings, and that they cannot get underneath the gate.

How to Avoid a Scary Dog Food Recall
As a pet parent, there's probably not much that's scarier than a food recall: you feel guilty because you fed your dog something that could have made him sick, and yet what could you have done to possibly prevent it? It leaves you feeling pretty helpless (and paranoid about your pup's health!). With the seeming rise in recalls, we talked to Tonya Wilhelm, founder of Raising Your Pets Naturally and author of Proactive Puppy Care, who travels throughout the United States to talk about how to do just that. She filled me in on how to prevent dog food disasters before they actually happen.
How to avoid them the first place
To start, "I always look for United States-sourced ingredients," Wilhelm says. It's important to read the ingredients on the label, too. Look for whole foods such as fresh meats and vegetables versus byproducts such as "chicken meal" and chemical preservatives like BHA: the less processing, the less chances of there being an issue which could lead to a recall. Also be on the lookout for pet food made in meat-rendering plants, which process animal byproduct materials that can include euthanized pets. In terms of the pet food brands, smaller companies (like Ollie) tend to have a close relationship with their suppliers and there are fewer people involved in the process, Wilhelm says. "Most actually will talk about the process on their websites, because they are proud of their sourcing," Wilhelm says.
How to stay aware of recalls
The easiest way to make sure you find out about a recall is to sign up for the Food and Drug Administration's email alert option at FDA.gov. Most pet food companies also have their own email alerts, so be sure to go onto your individual pet food company's website to see if that's an option. Since recalls typically only involve limited batches of a product, always save the original packaging which contains the specific batch information, says Mike Sagman, founder and managing editor of Dogfoodadvisor.com, an independent review site that helps dog owners make informed decisions about purchasing dog food.
What to do if your dog food is recalled
Stop giving your dog the food immediately! Contact your vet if your dog has eaten the food and look out for any symptoms of sickness. Ask your vet about how to safely switch your dog over to a different brand of food, and then follow the instructions included in the recall notice, which may include going to an emergency veterinarian, Sagman says. Typically, the manufacturer will have you return your food for a refund, but make sure you save a little of it in case the vet needs to examine it. Since it is a contaminated food or treat, make sure you are careful when handling it (use a glove and wash your hands thoroughly).

With residences in Studio City, CA; Lake Como, Italy; and England, it only makes sense that George and Amal Clooney were ready for a permanent place in New York City – especially now that they're the new parents of twins. According to Page Six, the couple purchased a luxury apartment at One Hundred East Fifty Third Street, and it's really something special. Although they did not opt for the penthouse, listed for $65 million, they reportedly went for a unit in the skyscraper building, which is expected to be completed next year. The True Story Behind Orange Is the New Black
If you're a fan of Orange Is the New Black, then you know by now that it's based on the real experiences of Piper Kerman. Kerman, known as Piper Chapman (and played by Taylor Schilling) on the show, published a bestselling memoir of the same name. While Kerman says the show, headed by Weeds creator Jenji Kohan, is not a docudrama whatsoever, her real-life experience does come through in the series. Obviously, the show has diverted a lot since we've been through almost five seasons now.
The Crime
After college, the real Piper Kerman fell for a woman caught up in an international drug ring. In the book, she calls her Nora, and if you watch the show, you know her as Alex (played by Laura Prepon). The real Piper smuggled $10,000 from Chicago to Brussels, Belgium, during her time with Nora, and 10 years later, the law caught up with her. In a 2010 interview with NPR, Kerman said that while she had long harbored resentment toward Nora, during her time in prison, she accepted full responsibility for the drug-ring days. She said, "It was a reckless and selfish time in my life."
The Author Fiancé
Just like in the show, Kerman had a fiancé named Larry (Larry Smith, who is a writer), who was by her side during her incarceration. In the show, Larry, played by Jason Biggs, writes a Modern Love article titled "One Sentence, Two Prisoners" in season one. The real Larry's Modern Love piece was published on March 25, 2010, with the title "A Life to Live, This Side of the Bars." In the real column, Larry recalls how he and Kerman reacted when her past came back to haunt her: "To say she was freaked out and wondering if I would stick around for the messes sure to come is an understatement. To say that it never once crossed my mind to bail on her is simply a statement of fact." In her own memoir, Kerman said this of the column: "Even here, without him, I couldn't imagine any sweeter Christmas present." Kerman wed Smith in 2006, and they're still married. Obviously, on the show, Larry has been long gone, having left Piper for her best friend.
The Prison Rules
In the Orange Is the New Black book, Kerman wrote about the official and unofficial rules of prison life, many of which are played out in the series:
I had learned a lot since arriving in prison five months ago: how to clean house using maxipads, how to wire a light fixture, how to discern whether a duo were best friends or girlfriends, when to curse someone in Spanish, knowing the difference between "feelin' it" (good) and "feelin' some kinda way" (bad), the fastest way to calculate someone's good time, how to spot a commissary ho a mile away, and how to tell which guards were players and which guards were noth-in' nice. I even mastered a recipe from the prison's culinary canon: cheesecake.
In her NPR interview, Kerman also discussed how race played a part in how people organized in prison. But she also explained that as time goes on, the "tribal" organization becomes looser: "While initially people might sort of gravitate toward the people who are the same color of them, I think that matters less and less the longer you're there."
Kerman's husband's real New York Times column also touched on the strict rules that play out in the show's many visitation scenes. He wrote: "No one else in my life knew the reality of our circumstances, like why buying your lady a Diet Coke from the vending machine in the visiting room (because our women weren't allowed to touch money) was among the greatest acts of love you were capable of performing."
The Cast of Characters
One of the most distinctive aspects of the Netflix show is its diverse ensemble cast. While many are purely fictional, others are adapted from people Kerman actually came across in prison. While show writers created the backstory for Sophia, played by transgender actress Laverne Cox, there was a trans woman living next door to Kerman in prison, whom she calls Vanessa in the book. Also, Kerman dedicated her book to the Red character, whom she calls "Pop" in the memoir. In the book, she recalls Pop saying:
Listen, honey, I know you just got here, so I know that you don't understand what's what. I'm gonna tell you this once. There's something here called "inciting a riot," and that kind of shit you're talking about . . . you can get in big trouble for that . . . so take a tip from me, and watch what you say.
Finally, the true nature of the relationships are also captured. "A lot of folks sort of ask salacious questions about the romantic relationships between women," Kerman said in 2010, "but I think the dominant paradigm of women's relationships in prison is the mother-daughter relationship."
The Ex
Kerman gave a TED talk in 2013 about the prison system, peppering it with details about her own incarceration. In it, Kerman shared bits about people who inspired characters on the show - like the ex-lover who got her into the drug trade. At the seven-minute mark of the video below, Kerman shares how confronting her ex helped her confront her past.
The SHU
Season two begins with Piper serving time in the SHU for attacking Pennsatucky, but in real life, Kerman never had solitary confinement. She did, however, testify before the Senate earlier this year on behalf of eliminating the use of solitary as punishment.
Furlough
A big season two plot point for Piper is how she gets furlough when she finds out her grandmother is dying. In the show, she misses her death but still gets to head home for a couple of days. In real life, Kerman also lost her grandmother but didn't get furlough or to say goodbye. She told EW in a 2010 interview: "It's devastating when you confront how selfish actions you've taken are preventing you from being there for the people who need you the most. That's a terrible, terrible thing."

When Ashleigh Miller-Cross was shopping at a local grocery store, she was planning on leaving with food for her family, not another new baby.
The Canadian mom had given birth to her first child, Mia, 10 months ago and had no idea that she was not only pregnant but also already full term when she headed into a Halifax supermarket. "I really had no idea," Ashleigh told reporters during an event at the store. "I presumed I hadn't lost any weight because I only had Mia 10 months ago, so I mean I didn't grow any extra so it's just the same size. I didn't have any cravings."
As Ashleigh was walking through the aisles, she started to feel intense pain and employees helped her to the bathroom. "I opened the door and Ashleigh was there and the baby was halfway out," Malcolm Comeau, the store's assistant manager, shared with Love What Matters Facebook page. "She just screamed at me, 'I'm having a baby!' and I automatically grabbed my phone and dialed 911."
Luckily, the superstore has a medical clinic in it and Malcolm rushed to get a doctor to the laboring mom. "I peeked back in; the baby had been born. He was fine. He was breathing," Malcolm shared with CBC News. "It's like some other instincts take over. You just don't think about anything else. It's like, get help and do whatever you can."
Since his surprise grocery store delivery, baby Ezra was treated to a newborn photo shoot that honors his unconventional grand entrance.

A New "Interview" Claims Ivanka Trump Took a Stand Against Her Dad - Except She Didn't
The latest issue of US Weekly boldly imagined a world where Ivanka Trump does not agree with her father's political decisions and defiantly resists them. The only problem? It's all unconfirmed.
On June 7, the tabloid magazine released their latest cover featuring a close-up shot of the assistant to the president. The headline states, "Ivanka Takes a Stand: Why I Disagree With My Dad." Though the headline is in first person, US Weekly did not interview Trump at all for the story. Instead, the magazine simply pulled quotes from an undisclosed source and other interviews in Harper's Bazaar and The New York Times.
According to US Weekly's unnamed source, Trump frequently argues with the president. "She has battled the 70-year-old about everything from LGBT rights to the North American Free Trade Agreement." The interview then alleges that she was particularly upset by his recent decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement. "A source close to Ivanka says she was disappointed by his decision, but she's learned to take such defeats in stride."
Following the reveal of the story, Twitter nearly erupted with laughter. Many people expressed a belief that the pseudo-interview was a calculated move to improve her image.

It's been nearly 11 years since the last episode of the Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County aired, but a big part of the cast is still very much in our lives. There may not be as much drama now as there was on Laguna Beach and The Hills, seeing as how many of the stars have settled down and gotten married, but there must have been something in that water because not one but six of the stars are currently expecting their first child. Mona Is Not "Uber A" on Pretty Little Liars - She May Be Our Last Hero
This week's episode of Pretty Little Liars gave us a shocking conclusion. After weeks and weeks of trying to puzzle out the identity of the show's final "Uber A," we seemingly got our biggest hint yet. In the final moments, we find out Mona has a pretty advanced lair set up in her apartment. She's got pictures of all the liars, police case files, suspicious shovels, snaps of the big board game, and more. Upon first glance, it's easy to assume that Mona never quite let go of her evil ways and that she scooped up the game after Charlotte DiLaurentis's murder. But, listen, we're not buying it. This is exactly what we're meant to think, but if you look back, there's a lot of evidence to the contrary. In fact, Mona might be our last great hero. Let's get into it.
Before we go into Mona's possible true motives, let me explain why we shouldn't believe what we're seeing. Throughout the history of PLL, there have been a lot of moments where we thought we knew what was going on, but we really didn't. Case in point: the "Ezra is 'A'" reveal in season four. It was all set up. We see him wearing a shady outfit, and he has a massive lair all set up. In the episodes that follow, we see all his sneaky and creepy activity. Eventually, though, we find out he's not "A" at all. He's just doing extensive research and trying to write a book about the whole ordeal. The point is that anytime we're being spoon fed something this big, we should take it with a grain of salt. Mona is a red herring. If we're being led to believe that she's "Uber A," it's very likely the opposite is true. And that brings me to my next point.
By now, it should be clear that Mona only wants to help the girls. In her lair, we see the shovels the girls used to bury Dr. Rollins. This is the very crime Mona helps cover up (by getting Lucas's windshield replaced). This must be part of her attempts to further bury the evidence, pun intended. Elsewhere on her mysterious cork board, we see pictures of the game and multiple pictures of the biggest suspects. This is because Mona's trying to figure everything out. She's trying to uncover exactly how the "Liars Lament" board game works, and she's trying to figure out who "Uber A" is. She's always been one step ahead of the liars, so why should she stop now?
And that's basically our big theory: Mona is the final hero of the show. With only three episodes left, it must be the answer. Mona will figure out the identity of "Uber A" before the liars. And once she does, she'll do what she can to save them and redeem herself from the evil she's done in the past. With a looming death toll in the series finale, we're worried this means Mona might not make it out alive. Cross your fingers, friends. This is going to be a dark ride.

Everything We Learned From the Comey Hearing
This post will be updated continuously throughout Comey's testimony today
The most anticipated day in recent political history - one that appeals not only to news junkies or political pundits, but basically anyone who loves televised drama - has finally arrived: former FBI Director James Comey has taken the stand before a Senate committee to testify about his meetings, interactions, and conversations with President Donald Trump. The Senate is seeking answers in hopes to further their investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election, and those of us watching from home (or, sneakily, at work) are looking to get answers to the many, many questions that have been on our minds since Comey was fired back in May.
For those not in DC – where bars opened early to host viewing parties across the city, and the conversations are almost exclusively about the testimony in hand – we're watching and taking notes on what it is exactly that we should be taking away from the hearing and what it is we need to know going forward for the future of the investigation and for the presidency writ large.
So, without further ado, Here's what we've learned today:
- Russia definitely interfered in the election, but Comey doesn't think they touched the actual votes. At this point we all agree that there's no question that Russia did something last year, but Comey added today that he was "confident" Russia didn't alter any voting data once ballots were cast by the American people.
- When Comey was fired, Trump wasn't under investigation. This is the point that the Trump team has been harping on, and quite honestly, the reason we've gotten to the point we're at today. When asked explicitly if Trump was under investigation at the time that he was fired on May 9, Comey answered simply: "No." We're probably all ready to move on from this now.
- Comey documented his meetings with Trump because he was afraid that Trump would lie about what went down. Comey had nine meetings with Trump, a number that seems extraordinarily high when put against the fact that he only spoke with Obama twice over the span of three years. But the most damning information came in the form of his reasoning for why he began documenting these meetings, starting from the very first meeting in Trump Tower: "I was honestly concerned he might lie about the nature of the meeting and it led me to document it."
- We finally found out what Trump whispered in Comey's ear back in January "I'm looking forward to working with you."
- It's very likely that special prosecutor Robert Mueller is investigating Trump for obstruction of justice. When asked by Senate Intelligence Committee Chair Richard Burr whether he was fired in order to hinder the Russia investigation – i.e., commit obstruction of justice – or to help protect Michael Flynn, Comey indicated that Flynn was already a known issue for the administration and that while he didn't think it was the express intent, it was likely something that would be investigated. "I don't think it is for me to say whether the conversation I had with the president was an effort to obstruct," Comey said. "I took it as a very disturbing thing, very concerning, but that's a conclusion I'm sure the special counsel will work toward: to try and understand what the intention was there and whether that's an offense."
- Comey was just as perplexed by his firing as we were. Initially it was said that he was fired because of his handling of the Clinton email scandal, but Trump cast doubt on this rationale when he suggested that it was to "relieve pressure" on the whole Russia debacle. "The explanations, the shifting explanations, confused me and increasingly concerned me," Comey said, before confirming that he now believes that Trump's rationale probably was the root cause. "I take the president at his word that I was fired because of the Russia investigation."
- He doesn't know if there are tapes of the Trump/Comey conversations, but he'd be a happy man if they exist.

In anticipation of the NBA Finals starting on June 1, Taco Bell is giving basketball fans what they really want: free tacos - well, in addition to their team winning. Following its success last year, the fast food chain will be bringing back its Steal a Game, Steal a Taco giveaway.

When?
If an away team wins game one, two, or three, the giveaway will take place on June 13 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. local time. If an away team wins game four, five, six, or seven, the giveaway will take place on June 20, during the same aforementioned four-hour time slot.
