Miranda Kerr on Her Heartbreak-Healing Essential Oil: It's Like "a Big Warm Hug"

Before you call "bullsh*t," hear Miranda Kerr out. According the the mega model and beauty brand owner of Kora Organics, an essential oil may help to heal a broken heart. Kerr recently launched Kora Organics Heart Chakra Aromatherpy Oil ($48), which allows you to use the power of scent to uplift your mood. The website claims it will, "invoke, nurture, and empower the energies of your Heart Chakra."
Kerr explained the inspiration behind this launch to Elle.com. "A few years ago, I was in a really rough place," she said. "My heart was really wounded. This strong wave depression really hit me all of a sudden, and I didn't know what to do. I finally asked my aromatherapist if she could help. And that's how this all started."
Then, she went on to clarify what a "heart chakra" is and how a scented oil can help it.
"It's the closest thing I can describe to feeling a big warm hug."
"Your heart chakra is the fourth chakra," Kerr noted. "It's literally right over your heart. And our chakras can open and close, and when your heart chakra is closed, you're feeling less energy, more stress, like everything is overwhelming and your whole body just wants to shut down. . . . So we created this super-charged wellness essence that really helps nurture your heart and empower your energies. We put in sandalwood, ylang ylang, cedar wood, and we combine them together and filter them through a rose quartz crystal to charge them."
It may sound a bit hokey, but many swear by this method. I once got a massage in Prague based around relaxing chakras, and I was shocked at how well it worked.
Here's how Kerr advises to apply it. "The first thing you do is smell the heart chakra oil. When you smell it, you'll feel it. It's such a sensory experience that's really uplifting and energizing . . . to be honest, I use it as an alternative to perfume because it smells so yummy. It's the closest thing I can describe to feeling a big warm hug."

Like death, taxes, and the fact 2017 is a raging trashfire, there's something else we can always rely on: Katy Perry and Taylor Swift's feud will never die. As we're all painfully aware at this point, the drama began when in Taylor's infamous 2014 Rolling Stone interview, she claimed another female artist (who literally everyone quickly deduced was Katy) had stolen backup dancers away from her and therefore deliberately sabotaged her upcoming tour, and then wrote her diss track, "Bad Blood," about said artist. The two have shared a few not-so-subtle barbs back and forth ever since, but it's safe to say it's all out on the table now thanks to Katy's publicity tour for her upcoming album, Witness. In early May, Katy sat down with Entertainment Weekly for a discussion about Witness, which inevitably led to a question about what she thinks of "Bad Blood" and if she believes it's about her. "Well, that's not my question to answer - if it's about me," she replied. "I think [my new album] is a very empowered record. There is no one thing that's calling out any one person." She also made it clear that nobody should mistake that silence for not saying anything at all. "One thing to note is: you can't mistake kindness for weakness and don't come for me. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone," she explained. "And that's not to any one person and don't quote me that it is, because it's not. It's not about that. Honestly, when women come together and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period, end of story. But let me say this: everything has a reaction or a consequence, so don't forget about that, OK, honey . . . If people want to connect and be healed and feel vulnerable and feel empowered and strong, God bless and here it is."
Although she denied she had any diss tracks of her own in the works, she released "Swish, Swish" not long after her interview, which sure sounds like it's a shot at Taylor.

The "Chained to the Rhythm" singer was completely candid about why she and "the Regina George in sheep's clothing" have beef during her Carpool Karaoke video with James Corden in May. Katy fully admitted that "There's a situation. [Taylor] started it, and it's time for her to finish it." She added that she never "stole" backup dancers from Taylor and then opened up about her reaction to "Bad Blood." "I do the right thing any time that it feels like a fumble. It was a full shutdown, and then she writes a song about me," she said. "And I'm like, 'OK, cool, cool, cool. That's how you want to deal with it? Karma!'" She also made sure to note that she's "ready for that BS to be done."

"Well, [Late Late Show host] James Corden makes me and the whole world feel very safe," she said. The 32-year-old also wanted to reiterate her previous assertion that no one should "come for" her. "I mean, I'm not Buddha - things irritate me. I wish that I could turn the other cheek every single time, but I'm also not a pushover, you know? Especially when someone tries to assassinate my character with little girls [her fans]. That's so messed up!"
Another layer to the "Bad Blood" drama was that Taylor hired Katy's longtime collaborator Max Martin to help write the song, which Katy had yet to address until her chat with NME. "I can't speak for [Max], but he didn't know [who "Bad Blood" was about]," she said. "I'm not supposed to tell him what he can and can't do. I'm very fair; I'm super-duper fair, and I'm not one of those people who's like, 'You can't do that because I don't like that person'. Just, like, you do you, make your own choices . . . I'm not his mother."

When I walked into the press junket conference room to sit down with Ansel Elgort and Baby Driver director Edgar Wright, the young actor complimented my jacket. Then he praised my coworker's coat. He even threw in some mutual flattery, adding that we both have "good jacket game." My takeaway from this is, of course, that Ansel Elgort f*cking loves jackets. And with such a jacket-heavy introduction, I should have known that things would eventually come full circle.
We chatted for a while about Baby Driver, which hits theaters June 28 and at press time boasts an unprecedented 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The stylized action movie - which offers a "buy-it-on-vinyl good" soundtrack and also stars talents like Kevin Spacey, Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx, and Lily James - is nothing short of a perfect Summer film. During the interview, it's clear that Wright and Elgort are immensely proud of the project, and rightfully so. As they shared memories about the movie, I wondered about any mementos that they may have pocketed from the set.
"They didn't want me to take it, but I took it."
I'd attended a screening of the film the night before our interview, and during the Q&A session, Elgort noted that he kept one of the Subaru WRXs used while filming some of the stunt-driving scenes, admitting that he "caught the bug" and now loves drifting. (And after watching the film, I can see why - it'll make you want to swerve into every parking garage at 90 miles per hour!) But since a car isn't the sort of nostalgic prop memory that most actors keep, I asked Elgort if there was anything else he took home after filming.
Elgort smiled at the question. "Yes! I have the main hero jacket. They didn't want me to take it, but I took it. I take my jackets. I know in my first couple of movies, I was always trying to take my costume and they'd always said, 'We'll send it to you,' and then they never send it to you," he explained. "So someone said, 'You have to take it.' Yeah, so I took the Fault in Our Stars jacket; I took the Baby Driver jacket . . . I always take costumes from all my movies."
Elgort's sneaky wardrobe acquisition elicited a bit of jealousy from Wright, who exclaimed, "I should have taken a prop! I want that blue car, the little toy car!" And Elgort - perhaps emboldened by his character, Baby, a robbery getaway driver - gave his director a bit of criminal encouragement. "It's in storage," he offered, conspiratorially. "They'll never come after you."
Luckily for Elgort, his performance in Baby Driver was so excellent that I doubt anyone will begrudge him a missing coat. Let's just hope he's got enough room in his closet for the many jackets to come from what's sure to be a long, successful acting career.

When Pretty Little Liars wraps up forever on June 27, it will be with multiple weddings and probably multiple deaths. I mean, there's a psychopath out there (as usual), and it's called "Till Death Do Us Part," which can't just be about weddings, considering it's this show.
I had the chance to chat with series creator I. Marlene King and a group of reporters at ATX this week, and obviously, I asked her if there will be any deaths on the series finale. She gave it some thought, admitting, "My God, I have to think back because my PLL brain has died," which makes sense, since the series actually wrapped several months ago, and since then, she's been hard at work on her new series, Famous in Love.
After reiterating that "It's the deadliest season ever," she paused, and said, "I'm keepin' it real mum about that, because I don't want to mess anything up in this final moment. It's exciting and it's very big, I'll say." So yeah, she essentially revealed nothing . . . or did she? If the answer was no, it's very easy to say no, especially considering the finale promises plenty of other reasons to watch. And of course, there was that time she tweeted the line of dialogue where someone says, "Are you here to kill me?" from the final season's script. It's safe to say that no one is safe.

What Went Down:
Upset with Caputo for defending Bayley rather than honoring Poussey in a televised statement about her death, several inmates begin marching through Litchfield and rallying others along the way. Soon, practically the entire prison riots through the halls to express their anger at the situation and how terribly they've been treated throughout the entire season. They're so furious that the COs can't stop them.
The COs are clearly outmatched, but Humphrey attempts to whip out a gun he'd snuck inside. Having previously done truly gross things, like forcing Maritza to eat either 10 dead flies or a baby mouse at gunpoint and egging Suzanne and Maureen to physically fight each other, he's one of, if not the most, awful guards around. But he gets what's coming to him when Maritza shoves him to the ground before he can shoot anyone. Daya then gets ahold of the gun and, after some hesitation, points it right at Humphrey's face as the inmates cheer.
That tense moment is exactly where that storyline ends for season four. The actual last scene of the season is a bittersweet shot of Poussey, after much of the finale explores one of her most memorable nights ever through flashbacks. She looks directly into the camera and flashes the sweet smile everyone will miss.

They're so furious that the COs can't stop them.
The COs are clearly outmatched, but Humphrey attempts to whip out a gun he'd snuck inside. Having previously done truly gross things, like forcing Maritza to eat either 10 dead flies or a baby mouse at gunpoint and egging Suzanne and Maureen to physically fight each other, he's one of, if not the most, awful guards around. But he gets what's coming to him when Maritza shoves him to the ground before he can shoot anyone. Daya then gets ahold of the gun and, after some hesitation, points it right at Humphrey's face as the inmates cheer.
That tense moment is exactly where that storyline ends for season four. The actual last scene of the season is a bittersweet shot of Poussey, after much of the finale explores one of her most memorable nights ever through flashbacks. She looks directly into the camera and flashes the sweet smile everyone will miss.

Every passenger on the plane breathes in oxygen and releases carbon dioxide. In order to bring in more oxygen, fresh air is pumped into the cabin. However, the air at such high altitudes has very little moisture, making the cabin air dry. That is what makes your skin feel dehydrated. "I try to drink at least a liter for every six hours of flying," flight attendant Felicia Rohan* explained. "I usually drink two liters if I'm flying to Europe." Another pilot, Anne Schroeder, uses the Camelback BPA-Free Water Bottle With Filter ($20) to make sure she always has H20 on hand.

I Found the Love of My Life - and I've Never Taken It For Granted

Early in my sobriety I decided to go to Greece for potential modeling work. Don't get all excited. It's not like I was doing shoots for GQ. Instead I was modeling for the Sears catalog and did one Dentyne ad, which featured mostly my back and one-fourth of my face. When I got to Greece I was filled with the crazy sense of gratitude. I had always dreamed of going to Greece, but it never seemed like a possibility to me. It was way out of reach, but I thought I was newly sober and my world had been so small it was time to explore it.
It turns out that I wasn't the look that they were into that particular season so I didn't book any work. I had been in Athens for almost three weeks and I decided that maybe it was time to go home but not before I went to Mykonos. I had heard so much about it from friends so I was DYING to go. After an eight-hour ferry ride from Athens, I arrived and I felt like I had died and gone to heaven! The beaches, the white houses, the food, the dancing! I was having the time of my life.

On my last night there, a friend I had met while traveling stopped to talk to someone he had met on the beach. I stood waiting for him to finish when I heard, "Hi. Do you want to try some of my dessert?" It was Gary. I couldn't believe he was talking to me. He was so handsome, so tan, and super funny. He asked if we wanted to go the bar with them and I said yes of course. We ended up at Piero's. Drag queens, muscle boys, models, fashion designers (I met Alexander McQueen on the dance floor here) - it was a feast for the eyes. The evening turned into the morning and the morning into me extending my stay in Mykonos after Gary asked me to and we even tacked on a few days in Santorini. I honestly couldn't believe any of this was happening to me.
I went back to Athens to spend his last night in Greece with him and I was overwhelmed with emotions, to say the least. It had been a week unlike any I could've ever imagined and it was all coming to an end. It was a pretty magical time as no cell phones worked internationally so we were able to be present with one another and really enjoy the experience. I didn't really have any expectations. I thought if it was a Summer romance than I would have the amazing memories, but if it did turn into something more I would be ecstatic. We just fit so well together but there were so many roadblocks in our way. He lived in LA and I lived in Toronto, being the biggest one. He left and went back to LA and I stayed on in Athens. We talked every day on the phone and finally he said, "Come to LA and hang out. Let's see what this is." A day later I was on the plane to LA. Sometimes things just align perfectly and they work out. We have been together ever since. We still talk about how we met all these years later. In July we will celebrate 16 years together. It has been the best 16 years of my life.

Gary and I have been back to Greece many times since we met. It is a very special place to us. Almost three years ago, Gary and I were vacationing in Mykonos and he proposed to me while we were watching the sunset. I wasn't expecting it at all but it is a day I won't forget. We were both so excited to call our families and tell them. Both of our families love and support us.
I am so grateful that I have that luxury as I know not everybody does. We still have yet to set a date or a location or anything really but will soon. That Summer in Greece will always be one of the most special moments of my life. The moment I met Gary my life changed and it continues to get better and better with every passing year.

Camila told Elvis that she recorded a demo with the group, but the timing was off while she was still with Fifth Harmony.

I always tried to do my solo stuff off cycle, so that was super on, and so I had to say no, and then that was the number one song in the world."

Mom Perfectly Sums Up the Moment a Teacher Finally Noticed What She's "Always Seen" in Her Son
When Meg Rowe made the difficult decision to put her 2-year-old son in preschool, she had no idea that the separation from Teddy wouldn't be the only struggle she'd have to endure.
"A couple months in, his teachers casually mentioned that he didn't talk," she wrote in a Facebook post. "I was so distressed because he was so loud at home. What was I doing wrong?"
A few months later, and those same teachers reported that he now only spoke in whispers: "Teachers said if they looked at him he went mute. Was I making him feel like he couldn't be loud? Like he would get in trouble? I spent hours at home going, 'IT'S OK TO SCREAAAAAAMMMMM!!!' and having him double over in hysterics."
It was painful for this self-proclaimed "inexperienced parent" to watch her kid act one way at home and then shut down at school.
After eight long months, both she and her husband, Kyle, happened to drop him off for the first time together. The teacher gave them an update on Teddy.
"The teacher says, 'Wow, Teddy. A big change! Not only does he talk, all the time, to everyone, but he is . . .' (pause for considering her words carefully) 'just a really good friend. The ultimate friend! To everyone here,'" Meg recalled. "Is there really a better compliment to be had for anyone, of any age?"
Like all the parents of shy children who can perfectly relate, Meg couldn't help but cry:
"So, you know, don't mind the tears of a mom at 8:30 in the morning standing in her preschooler's classroom when she realizes someone else - unbiased - sees what she's always seen."

Representative Jim Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin gave the most dubious reason as to why he voted against internet privacy rules: "Nobody's got to use the internet," he said. At a town hall meeting on April 13, the GOP congressman argued in favor of internet service providers having access to their customers' personal browsing histories.
The moment in question started when an attendee of the meeting questioned why sites like Facebook face stricter privacy rules than service providers. She said, "Facebook is not comparable to an ISP. I do not have to go on Facebook," adding, "I do have one provider. I live two miles from here. I have one choice."
In his startling response, Sensenbrenner said, "Nobody's got to use the internet, at all," adding, "I don't think it's my job to tell you that you cannot get advertising for your information being sold. My job, I think, is to tell you that you have the opportunity to do it, and then you take it upon yourself to make the choice that the government has given you."
Following the exchange, Sensenbrenner's press office made a clarification on Twitter. In response to a tweet that claimed the representative told his constituents to not use the internet if they don't like his decision, the press office wrote, "He said that nobody has to use the internet. They have a choice. Big difference." Somehow, we're not getting that difference.
