Daddy Yankee's Performance of "Despacito" With a Young Cancer Patient Is Pure Joy

Daddy Yankee sings 'Despacito' with a little girl fighting cancer. Much Respect! 🙌🏻🙏🏻Muy bien echo hermano!

Posted by Whilly Bermudez on Saturday, June 24, 2017

Daddy Yankee recently paid a visit to a young cancer patient and performed the ubiquitous song with Luis Fonsi, "Despacito." In an unexpected turn of events, however, the Puerto Rican artist didn't have to do much: the young girl absolutely nailed the entire song, leaving Yankee smiling the entire time.

Yankee stopped by the Hospital Universitario La Paz in Madrid while touring throughout Spain. That's when he met this sweet fan, Andrea, and sat down to perform the song with massive crossover success. Though Andrea sang the entire song perfectly, the best part came when she rapped Yankee's portion with him seated right beside her. At the end of the performance, the entire room erupted in applause. Watch the touching video in its entirety, above.

This Woman's Response to a Congressman's Claim About Paying For "Pregnancy Insurance" Is Flawless

You'd think that, by now, GOP congressmen would get that their constituents will always voice their opinions. Representative Rod Blum of Iowa apparently didn't get the memo before he spoke at a town hall about "pregnancy insurance" being a "crazy regulation" and apparently didn't think twice about it. He's now in the national spotlight after a woman who was at the event responded in a letter that's now going viral.

On May 8, Blum held a town hall at Dubuque High School in Iowa. The town hall, similar to other ones, did not go well. Plenty of people showed up to protest him and the town hall lasted for more than an hour. One particular moment that made people angry is when Blum spoke about what else he'd like to change in Obamacare with the American Health Care Act. "Get rid of some of these crazy regulations that Obamacare puts in, such as a 62-year-old male having to have pregnancy insurance," said Blum. You can watch a clip of the moment ahead at the 41-minute mark.

As you can see in the clip, people did not like Blum's response at all, including Barbara Rank. The 63-year-old retired special education teacher did not ask Blum a question during the town hall, but instead let her thoughts simmer. She then wrote a letter to the Dubuque Telegraph Herald on May 12 that summed up her feelings as to why people need to pay for something as "crazy" as pregnancy insurance. In it, she wrote, "Why should I pay the salaries of politicians I didn't vote for, a tax cut that doesn't affect me, or a loophole I can't take advantage of? It's called democracy, a civil society, the greater good. That's what we pay for."

Reddit user Shwinstet loved her response so much, they posted it to Reddit.

This is democracy manifest.

The Reddit post quickly went viral, unknowingly to Rank. She didn't know more than 100,000 people had seen her response and supported it until her daughter told her, reports The Washington Post. Blum, on the other hand, believes his words don't portray what he actually meant. "He was referring to the idea of patients being able to choose health insurance policies that fit their needs, rather than one size fits all policies filled with government mandates," said a spokesman to The Washington Post.

Perhaps Rank's letter sends a clear message to congresspeople; citizens are watching and listening and won't hesitate to question your actions.

4 Ways to Stop Your 3-Year-Old From Begging

It's remarkable how much I knew about parenting before I had kids.

Placing my stack of Lean Cuisines on the grocery store conveyor belt I'd watch as moms and dads held up the line, desperately negotiating with their toddler over a candy bar or a pack of gum.

"Jeez - grow a pair," I'd think as I watched them bargain their way right into their child's sticky little palm. This 20,000-foot view offered me a pathetic picture of what little power some parents had over their children.

Then I became the parent of a 3-year-old and reality exposed itself to me like a mustached man in a pick up truck. We're tired. We're poor. We're huddled masses yearning to breathe free. We would sell our souls for five minutes of peace, however, nobody tells us that cutting corners to get this five minutes of peace comes with a price tag. A few wrong turns and quick fixes and suddenly you find yourself at the mercy of something that hits you mid-thigh.

You say no, she says pleeeeeeeeeease. You dig in, she throws herself on the floor. The post office closes in 15 minutes so you break, giving into whatever she's been pleading for. You promise to stick to your guns next time but each day the begging becomes more persistent and abrasive and you suddenly understand why some animals eat their young.

It's a vicious cycle - beg, negotiate, placate, repeat with more intensity. I was at my wits end and though my daughter had the stamina of a salmon returning home to spawn, I had access to the internet. Here's the best of what I've learned, as well as a couple of my own tricks.

1. Think before you speak.

Many times my instinct was to mindlessly say no, then upon further consideration I realized it would have been okay to walk the long way out of the mall and throw a coin in the fountain.

What I said: "Now, I'm not changing my mind because you're begging," I warned as we walked toward the fountain, "But because I changed my mind."

What she heard: "Good begging! Do it again next time and you can write your own check!"

When your child asks for something, take a breath and give it some thought before you spout off a knee jerk "no".

2. No means no.

Once it leaves your lips, there's no going back. Say it with me now: THERE. IS. NO. GOING. BACK. Prepare yourself for the worst of the worst in the beginning (I recommend having headphones and two fingers of Scotch on hand 24/7). Eventually she'll realize you're not going to budge and decide not to waste her time. Don't be alarmed if your toddler moves onto alternative methods of negotiation, like holding her breath, or facial prison tattoos. I promise it will get better, albeit a little at a time.

3. Bring it down to their level.

It's easy to tune out annoyances, especially when you're engrossed in cooking or other household chores. And by cooking and other household chores I mean scrolling sangria recipes on Pinterest or cyber stalking your ex-boyfriend's new wife. We're busy. Sometimes all it takes to re-route your kid is spending five seconds to show him that you hear his request and offer a simple explanation for your "no." So put down your phone, kneel onto his level, look deep into his soul and say, "We can't go to the water park today because I have to renew my driver's license." It helps to do this in your lowest and most intimidating (read: demonic) voice - bonus points if you can make your eyes glow red.

4. Set realistic consequences.

Obviously, we are only human, and yet sometimes you need to nip that begging business in the bud. Lay down the law - tell her that if she begs one more time there will be a consequence. And ain't nobody gonna believe you'll actually leave the zoo, including your 3-year-old. While you might think it's the ultimate threat and want to get her attention, she knows you parked in east Jesus and aren't going to abandon that 30-minute sunscreen sesh.

A few days ago we were at the pool and at 10 a.m. I heard a mom threaten her son with leaving the pool if he didn't stop splashing people. She was still robotically threatening that same thing four hours later. It's imperative the consequence is something you will follow through on. "If you don't stop begging, we are going to sit on the bench for 10 minutes while your friends go visit the tigers," or, "One more 'please' and I'm going to sh*t in your Crocks." Get creative. Parenting is fun.

The bottom line: While it seems like your 3-year-old is being a huge turd, she is simply trying to figure out where your boundaries are. She'll bend you little by little and if you don't push back you'll eventually break. So keep your cool and stay strong. We don't negotiate with terrorists.

What This Garbage Man Said to a Little Girl on His Route Will Leave You in a Puddle of Mush

A little girl named Brooklyn had a very surprising request for her birthday - she wanted to finally meet a man she's been admiring from afar: her family's garbage collector, Delvar. Or as they've taken to calling him, "our favorite awesome smiley garbage man."

Each Thursday for over a year, Brooklyn, who lives in Bloomington, IL, would anxiously awaited the garbage truck's arrival at their house.

In a Facebook post, Brooklyn's mom wrote:

It started with waving from the window, then we had to try and be outside to wave, and when we missed the truck driving by the house, I'd drive around the neighborhood to find the garbage truck and wave on our way out the door in the mornings. Every Thursday, my heart is full when I see the joy that our amazing garbage man brings Brooklyn when he honks and waves at her with a BIG smile.

To make Brooklyn's birthday - which, as luck would have it, was on a Thursday - extra special, they decided it was time they finally met their garbage collector. Brooklyn wrapped up a cupcake and waited for his arrival. When he rounded the corner of their street, Brooklyn's mom thanked him for his upbeat demeanor and acknowledged how much it meant to her daughter.

To her surprise, Delvar admitted that he, too, looks forward to their weekly visits. What he revealed next will leave you in a puddle of mush . . .

He said that he has a meeting every Thursday morning and always tries to get out of there in a hurry so that he can make sure to see us every week.

We're so glad Brooklyn got her birthday wish, and when Thursday rolls around again, we can't help but get excited about her run-in, full of honking and waving, with her "favorite awesome smiley garbage man."

I Cleaned Out 100+ Items From My Closet by Asking This 1 Question

You would have never known that I organize and overhaul the wardrobes of clients for a living, let alone write books on the subject, if you had seen the state of my closet last week. Standing in my closet last Sunday while trying desperately to find something to wear to brunch led to the realization that my closet was leading a double life. It's not that it was a "hot mess," organizationally speaking. It was, however, glaringly obvious that everything in there represented my previous life, a very different life from the one I am currently living. A closet filled with four-inch heels and designer duds snagged at countless samples sales (read: I worked at Neiman Marcus corporate for almost a decade and everyone drives everywhere in Dallas) does not a smooth transition to the Bay Area make.

So, I made another cup of coffee, turned on my "Closet Overhaul" Spotify playlist, and did to my own closet what I have done hundreds of times for clients in the past.

I picked up the first hanger and asked the million dollar closet question that works like a charm every time I need to make, or assist a client in making, a decision on what stays and what goes. Two hours and several hangers later, I had over 100 items crammed on a rolling rack ready to donate. Cue: mic drop - and it all started with this question . . .

Jeff Mauro Puts a Nostalgic Spin on Your Favorite Childhood Cereal

If anyone can come up with ways to think outside of the box when it comes to cereal, it's Jeff Mauro. The Food Network star and The Kitchen cohost has teamed up with Cinnamon Toast Crunch to create inventive recipes using the nostalgic breakfast staple from your childhood, and POPSUGAR caught up with the chef to get the scoop about his favorite cereal hacks. And yes, staying true to his Sandwich King title, a sandwich is involved.

Jeff made a Cinnamon Toast Crunch PB&J; a chocolate-, bacon-, and banana-stuffed Cinnamon "French Toast" Crunch; and a sweet and salty Cinnamon Toast Crunch Road Mix. "There are two things that create nostalgia in any person's mind: cereal and the summertime road trip," Jeff said of his inspiration behind the recipes. "We used to drive to the Jersey Shore from Chicago every Summer to visit our cousins, and for us it was never about the destination. It was always about that 18-hour journey and, of course, all the snacks that my parents threw back there to us to keep us occupied."

Besides the snack mix for summertime road trips, Jeff said the one recipe everyone should try at home is hands down the PB&J, pictured above. "It's nostalgic. It's crazy because it's a coated, fried PB&J stuffed with a bunch of good stuff. Once you take a bite, it's the greatest peanut butter and jelly sandwich you've ever had."

Of course, it wouldn't be a chat with Jeff without some serious sandwich investigation. Jeff revealed his opinion on the best sandwich for Summer, saying, "You can't go wrong with a good steak sandwich. Let's say you've got a family of four. Two rib-eyes could make at least six sandwiches. Grill it perfectly, let it rest, thinly slice it, serve it on a fresh baguette with a little dressed arugula, a little horseradish cream sauce. Something simple and bright - not a big, overstuffed sandwich."

Last year, Jeff told POPSUGAR the one thing you should never add to a sandwich: mealy tomatoes. So we needed to know the one thing you should always add to a sandwich, too. Jeff responded confidently by saying, "Good bread - fresh bread. And if it's not fresh bread, treat it right: butter and griddle it so you reactivate it." The quality of the bread is just as important as the quality of what you're putting in it. "You could have the most hand-ground wagyu burger on a crappy bun, and it's gonna taste like a hockey puck no matter what."

Celebrity Bikini Photos So Hot, They're Forever Burned Into Our Memories

If your Summers are anything like ours, they go by so fast that they're usually a blur. But no matter how quickly a season whooshes by, the one thing that's frozen into our memories is always the fashion. And no garment says "Summer" like a red hot bikini!

With the dog days barking just around the corner, we're looking back at the celebrity swim styles that remind us of the Junes, Julys, and Augusts of yore. And if these stringy, high-waisted, retro, and '90s-inspired cuts are any indication, 2017 should give us plenty of styles to add to the list.

How to Cut Up a Watermelon, in Pictures

It's tempting to purchase watermelon already peeled and cubed, but we'd urge you not to. Not only is precubed watermelon more expensive, but it's also prone to having a mealy, mushy texture. (Once cut up, watermelon has a relatively short shelf fridge life.) Instead, follow these simple step-by-step instructions and do it yourself.

Céline Dion Met the Love of Her Life When She Was Only 12 Years Old

People could write songs about Céline Dion and René Angélil's beautiful love story. The pair first met in 1980 (she was 12 and he was 38) when her brother, Michel, sent the Canadian music producer one of her songs. Over the course of seven years, René served as her mentor and manager before their relationship turned romantic when Céline turned 19. They dated for four years before getting engaged. In December 1994, the pair made things official when they tied the knot during a beautiful ceremony at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, Quebec. "I'm not surprised that we married each other, because we have the same dreams," Céline said about her husband. "We have the same goals. We respect each other."

Aside from sharing a number of sweet moments together on the red carpet and during award shows, they were also parents to their three beautiful sons, René-Charles and twins Eddy and Nelson. Even though their relationship was sadly cut short when René lost his long and courageous battle with cancer in January 2016, Céline has carried on her late husband's legacy. Not only has she dedicated many gut-wrenching performances to him, but she has been painfully open about losing the love of her life. "I'm well because [René] is not suffering anymore, because the hardest thing is not to lose somebody you love, but to see them suffer," she told Ellen DeGeneres after his death. "So for me to know that he is in a place where he doesn't suffer anymore makes me feel way better."

15 Ways Breastfeeding Completely Messes With Your Sanity

We're happy to present this article by Elizabeth Broadbent from one of our favorite sites, YourTango.

Everyone knows that postpartum moms are a little bit nuts. There's the hormones, the sleep deprivation, and the I-just-popped-a-baby-from-my-vagina-or-got-one-cut-out-of-me thing.

She has shared charge of an actual human being, who will expire if left sitting on the middle of the floor for too long. This would make anyone crazy.

Then, add breastfeeding into the mix. Breastfeeding moms are no more or less crazy than formula-feeding moms, but breastfeeding makes you crazy in ways formula feeding doesn't. I know - I've full-term-nursed three kids.

I loved mostly every minute of it, but I know I seemed downright insane to most of the non-nursing world. Here's why:

  1. You see your nipples as merely another bodily appendage.
No more are they special, secret places you keep under wraps at all times. No way. Your nipples are now food delivery devices.
Your baby will turn his head and stretch them in ways you never thought possible. And if you pump, what happens to your nipples will look like something from a fetish video. You won't care about any of these things.
  2. You become proud of your boob size.
Big or small, medium or in between, you're proud of those hooters, because they're keeping a human being alive. Your bras may range into the middle end of the alphabet - and more properly be termed "harness" - but dammit, they're feeding little Braylynn. High-five, boobies!
  3. You develop a nickname for your boobs.
You'll ask your baby if they want ta-ta, or milkies, or na-nas, possibly even boobie. When other people overhear you, they'll look at you like you just shouted the word "penis" in a crowded hallway.
  4. You plan your wardrobe around your boobs and access thereof.
You can't go to the mall in that dress, because even if it does fit you from your postpartum days, you can't get to the ladies. Your husband in particular will not understand this.
When you don't do the two-shirt trick (one up, one down), you'll mostly settle for V-necks you can pull over.
  5. At first, you worry endlessly about who can see your breasts.
You use a nursing cover. You pull and tug and do everything in your power to make sure no one sees so much as a millimeter of skin, you dirty, dirty girl.

Nipples are private, and nursing is private, and you're terrified someone might see what you're doing.
  6. Then, you stop caring who sees, in a radical way.
Take a good long look, Trucker Man. Baby has to eat, and I need to feed him, so you're going to see some titty along the way. Get over it - it's a human breast, and you see more of that on a Victoria's Secret model than you do on nursing mother, anyway.
  7. You fantasize about getting yelled at for nursing.
This is either your worst nightmare (see lady with the cover), or you're ready to go toe to toe with management over your right to nurse in any establishment you have the right to be in.
But you think about it on a regular basis, plan what you would say, and what you'd tell your girlfriends afterwards.
  8. You taste your own breastmilk.
Anyone who says they haven't is a liar, liar, pants on fire. At some point in your nursing career, you absolutely have to see what it tastes like. Just once. For the record: vanilla ice cream.
  9. You obsess about your "supply."
For those not in the know, "supply" means how much breastmilk you're producing at any one time. You might worry you have oversupply and that's why baby's throwing up. Or that you have low supply, and baby isn't peeing enough.
While worries about supply will fade as baby gets older, they never quite go away. You'll find yourself wondering if your growing toddler needs extra milkies when it's hot outside.
  10. All of a sudden, you can imagine nursing a toddler.
Before you said uh-uh, no way, supergross . . . once they can ask for it, they should be cut off. Or once they have teeth, they should be finished.
But as your baby gets bigger, you slowly realize that when you make the decision to keep nursing every single day, you're eventually nursing a toddler. And your toddler is still such a baby. Full-term nursing for the win.
  11. Unless you're a saint, you go through a phase where you judge formula-feeding moms.
Thinking your choice is far superior to theirs is a way for you to validate your own choice and feel that you're raising your child the right way. Insecure new moms need that validation, so they take it out on formula-feeders, a superconvenient target.
Luckily, the vast majority of nursing moms grow out of their judgy phase. Most of them.
  12. You get excited about growing an actual person.
These hooters, right here, are the reason the baby gained three pounds. Boobs, I wish I could high-five you. Other people might think this is weird, but they've never grown a person with their own body.
  13. You give "the look" to other nursing moms.
When you see another mom nursing in public, you at least give her a nod. Depending on your level of obsession, you may say hi or even thank her for nursing where other people can see her.
When you reach this level, you're what people call a "lactivist," and that's not a bad thing.
  14. You covet normal sleep.
Oh, you sleep. If you cosleep, you sleep as much as any person with a baby possibly can (i.e. a lot). But you're constantly half-woken by a tiny person demanding to switch sides.
This pattern of half-waking can make you insanely covetous of the days when you slept without touching another person for hours on end. If you don't cosleep, you're awake all the time and probably exist in a delirious state of sleep deprivation.
  15. You start viewing breastmilk as a miracle cure-all.
Got a cut? The stem cells in breastmilk will take care of that. Eye infection? Put on milk on it. If Bob Costas had known a lactating woman, he would've been back to commentating in a day.
Breastmilk cures all the things. Your insistence on this will make your household crazy.

Seriously, how do you think breastfeeding women go f*cking crazy?

How I Learned to Connect to My Latina Culture

At first glance, you might assume that my life as a half-Peruvian Latina living with a Mexican fiancé is likely full of Latinx culture. And you'd be right - we speak to and text each other in Spanish the majority of the time, are always dreaming of new places to visit in Latin America, and never get tired of eating Latinx cuisine. Not only that, but our wedding is set to take place in my fiance's hometown of Monterrey this Fall.

But this hasn't always been the case. My family's Latinx culture was alive and present for the most part when I was a child growing up in Houston, TX. My parents spoke only Spanish to my sister and I until we started preschool and we had many Spanish-speaking nannies throughout elementary school. But once my mom passed away when I was 11 and we moved to small-town Oregon a couple of years later, that part of my identity became tucked away, leaving me with the impression that it wasn't something to draw attention to.

Whether it was a teacher expressing shock at the fact that one of her minority students could get As on their English papers or the occasional racist comments from restaurant customers at my weekend job as a waitress, my high school experience made me want to hide the fact that I was "different" as much as I possibly could. At the same time, my town's lack of diversity was one of the biggest factors that led to my desire to go to college in a multicultural mecca like New York.

Once I got to college and saw that I was hardly "different" in my university's student population, I was not only eager to learn about my peers' cultural backgrounds but also finally ready to embrace my own. I loved taking advanced Spanish classes, branching out from the Peruvian and Tex-Mex food I was so familiar with, and being introduced to Venezuelan and Colombian cuisines.

But it wasn't until I moved back to Houston at 24 that I truly started to connect to my Latina identity. Here, being fluent in Spanish is seen as a big advantage to just about any employer, and I can often help Spanish speakers with directions in my neighborhood. When I think back on my high school years, I wish my friends and teachers had encouraged me to embrace my differences rather than suggesting that they made me "less than" and not as worthy as my peers. Latinxs and our culture contribute so much to this country, and I'm now proud of whatever small way I can be a part of it.

Queen Elizabeth II Did Something at Diana's Funeral That the Public Did Not See Coming

Princess Diana was honored with a public funeral on Sept. 6, 1997, seven days after her tragic death. The event brought in an estimated 2.5 billion viewers, while another three million crowded the streets of London to follow the route of Diana's coffin from Kensington Palace to her final resting place at the Spencer family home in Althorp. Diana's two sons, William and Harry, joined the funeral procession at St. James's Palace alongside their father, grandfather, and uncle Earl Spencer. The coffin, accompanied by eight Welsh Guards, passed Buckingham Palace, where members of the royal family waited outside. Queen Elizabeth II was one of them, and as Diana's coffin was carried past her, she made a very rare move: she bowed her head.

The queen's gesture is remarkable for a couple of reasons; first, while it is customary for others to bow (or curtsy) to her majesty, she is not technically required to bow or curtsy to others. She made a solemn, unexpected acknowledgment to her former daughter-in-law's casket that she rarely does for anyone else.

Second, there was a huge amount of drama within the royal family after Diana's death, including the fact that Queen Elizabeth II had insisted that Diana's ceremony be private - she faced "fierce resistance" from Prince Charles, and then-British Prime Minister Tony Blair also agreed that Diana should be laid out at St. James's Palace with a public funeral held at Westminster Abbey. Because the queen was so highly criticized for her silence and "business-as-usual" behavior in the wake of Diana's death, her bowing at the coffin attempted to send a message of compassion, honor, and genuine grief.

Love Protein Bars? Here's How to Find One That's Actually Nutritious

Oh protein bars, the unsung heroes of the snack world. They curb our hangry attitudes, match our hectic schedules, and save our stomachs from embarrassing growls in silent rooms everywhere. You may keep a stash of these babies on you at all times, but have you ever wondered if your go-to bar is actually the best choice for your snacking needs? Since hunger can come in all shapes and sizes, here are tips to hone in on the right snack when you're craving a quick bite or a little more fuel to keep you satisfied until your next meal.

Balance your love-hate relationship with sugar

With an ingredient like sugar, it's all about finding a solid middle ground. According to the American Heart Association, women should aim for no more than 24 grams of added sugar per day, and 36 grams for men. If your current favorite bar has earned its spot due to an indulgent taste, be sure to check the nutrition label next time you're about to tear it open. You may be consuming more than half your day's worth of sugar in minutes without knowing it. Our suggestion? Keep it to five grams or less for a small snack or 10 grams or less for a more substantial one. If you find the right bar, even the most rich of flavors - from creamy peanut butter to chocolate fudge - can fit the sugar bill.

Keep calories in check

Obsessing over calories can lead to some unhealthy habits, but that doesn't mean you should overlook them. If a lighter option will satisfy you at snack time, look for a bar with 150 calories or less. But, if you need something more substantial, the sweet spot is under 300 calories. To feel like you're truly satisfied, you can even try pairing a 150 calorie bar with an on-the-go-friendly piece of fresh fruit, like an apple or banana.

Say yes to protein

Satiety is the state of feeling full, and that's exactly what a good bar should help you achieve. One of the most important players in making this happen is protein. We recommend consuming at least five grams of protein in a smaller snack, or packing 10 or more grams into a larger one. And if you want the best of both worlds, we're loving thinkThin® High Protein bars that help keep you fuller for longer with a whopping 20 grams of protein in a single serving. Yes, you read that right!

Don't forget about sodium and fiber

When it comes to snack-ready protein bars, we think keeping sugar, calorie count, and protein in check are key. But things like sodium and fiber count are important to your diet, too. As outlined in the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, healthy adults should consume under 2,300 mg of sodium per day. If you know it's important to keep your sodium intake limited, 200 to 300 mg should be the maximum amount in your bar. And don't forget about dietary fiber! It's a star player in maintaining a balanced diet and supports good digestion. We suggest aiming for a minimum of 3 grams of fiber in your protein bar.

7 Times Prince Harry Was the Wild Child of the British Royal Family

Image Source: Getty / Chris Jackson

The British royal family has blessed us with so many frame-worthy moments throughout the years, and they continue to inspire us with their big hearts and impressive charity work. But, like any normal family, the brood has had their fair share of scandals - especially Prince Harry. The 32-year-old - who is currently dating actress Meghan Markle - is known as the rebellious "wild child" of the family, though it's worth noting that he's done a lot of growing up and soul-searching over the past few years.

In a recent interview with Newsweek, Harry admitted to being "scarred" by Princess Diana's death, which led to a few unsavory public incidents. "I needed to fix the mistakes I was making," he said, revealing that bottling up his grief led to years of "total chaos" and that he was "very close" to a breakdown several times. But if you thought his bad boy days are gone for good, don't worry. Harry also said that he still has "a naughty streak," which he enjoys and "is how I relate to those individuals who have got themselves into trouble."

1. Rehab

After admitting to smoking weed, Prince Charles sent the then-17-year-old to Featherstone Lodge Rehabilitation Centre in 2002. "We acknowledge that on several occasions last Summer, Prince Harry experimented with cannabis. It is not that he had or has a serious problem, but he did take the drug," a senior official at St. James's Palaces revealed in a statement. "Prince Harry did attend Featherstone Lodge for a day to learn about the possible consequences of starting to take cannabis. The Prince of Wales thought it would be educational and shocking for him to attend. A large number of heroin users have, over the years and in the course of his work, told the Prince of Wales that they started on cannabis. This is a serious matter that was resolved within the family and is now in the past and is closed."

2. Cheating Accusations

In 2004, Sarah Forsyth, a former teacher at Eton College, claimed that she was ordered to help Harry cheat on an exam after she was unfairly dismissed from the prestigious school. Sarah told the court that she allegedly wrote nearly all of the text of a 2002 art project that helped Harry get admitted to Sandhurst, where he trained as a military officer. Sarah secretly recorded their conversations to prove her allegations, and her attorney later quoted Harry in court, saying, "It was a tiny, tiny bit. I did about a sentence of it," referring to the amount of work Harry reportedly did on the project. However, Eton later released its own transcript of the tape with a slightly different quote: "I was, like, a sentence in it." Harry was later cleared of cheating and a Clarence House spokesman released a statement, saying, "We are delighted that Harry has been totally cleared of cheating. As the tribunal says, it did not believe Ms. Forsyth's evidence on this point. These allegations have been thoroughly investigated by the examination board who found there was no evidence of malpractice."

3. Paparazzi Brawl

The royal got into a scuffle with a photographer outside of London's Pangaea nightclub in October 2004. A group of photographers were taking pictures of him, and Harry was reportedly only trying to defend himself. "Prince Harry was hit in the face by a camera as photographers crowded around him as he was getting into a car," a Clarence House spokesman said. "In pushing the camera away, it's understood that a photographer's lip was cut." A Scotland Yard spokesman also stated that police were aware of the incident but that no complaint had been made.

4. Nazi Costume

Harry dressed up as a Nazi officer for a friend's costume party in January 2005. Almost immediately after the photos made the rounds, Harry, who was 20 years old at the time, released a public apology, saying, "I am very sorry if I caused any offense or embarrassment to anyone. It was a poor choice of costume, and I apologize."

5. Racial Slurs

The royal was chastised by lawmakers, Muslim groups, and military officials in 2009 after a newspaper released a video from 2006 of Harry calling one of his fellow soldiers a "Paki." In a second clip, Harry refers to another soldier with a headscarf as a "raghead." St. James's Palace released a statement shortly after, saying, "Prince Harry fully understands how offensive this term can be and is extremely sorry for any offense his words might cause. However, on this occasion three years ago, Prince Harry used the term without any malice and as a nickname about a highly popular member of his platoon. There is no question that Prince Harry was in any way seeking to insult his friend. Prince Harry used the term 'raghead' to mean Taliban or Iraqi insurgent."

6. Late-Night Swim

In 2011, Harry made headlines when he fell into a pool fully clothed during a wild night at a club in Croatia. He then proceeded to keep dancing on a ledge despite being soaking wet and was reportedly seen later wearing a borrowed tee with his button-down wrapped around his waist.

7. Naked Photo Scandal

In August 2012, the prince took full advantage of his time in Las Vegas by partying with Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and hosting a game of strip billiards in his hotel suite. Just hours after his wild night, naked pictures of the royal - who was 27 at the time and dating Cressida Bonas - hit the web. Harry quickly returned to England for a tense meeting with Queen Elizabeth II and his dad, Prince Charles. While the exact context of that meeting is still unknown, Harry had "to face up" to his family and explain himself. Clarence House, a royal residence in London, also issued a media blackout of the photos, requesting that British outlets not print or post them.

  11. In the past decade, she has written two books. In 2014, Janet released Redefining Realness, a memoir about her journey with identity. Her new book, Surpassing Certainty, came out June 2017.
