Want a Custom Filter on Snapchat? It's Now Easier Than Ever to Make One
Whether or not you're still a Snapchat devotee, you know one of the best parts of the app are the geofilters you unlock in different parts of a city. The company upped its game when it released on-demand geofilters, which gave people the option to create customized filters them for weddings, birthdays, and other events. Well, get used to seeing more of those, because now, Snapchat is bringing on-demand geofilters to the app.
The feature, which is live for all iOS and Android Snapchat users, can be found on the settings page. Pick what type of event you want to celebrate - like a birthday or graduation - choose how long you want it to live and around which location, hit submit, and wait for the filter to be approved (which takes up to one business day.) The price of each Snapchat filter starts at $6 and varies depending on how long you want it to be available and the size of the location.
Just like before, the on-demand geofilters will need to adhere Snapchat's geofilter and community guidelines. Accidentally create one or want to change one thing once it's submitted? You can cancel immediately after sending it off for approval - or even while the filter is live. If you need to personalize your geofilter even more, you can still create your own filter on Snapchat's website.
Ahead, see how to create your own on-demand filter. It's so easy - trust us.

F45 Training: Never Heard of It? You Will - and Soon
Unless you've been working out in Australia over the past four or five years (g'day, mates), you probably haven't heard of one of the fastest-growing fitness franchises Down Under, F45 Training. (Don't worry, I had never heard of it either.) 8 Reactions We Had After Tasting Krispy Kreme's New Reese's Doughnuts
On Aug. 4, Krispy Kreme released a Reese's doughnut for the first time in the US! Understandably, Reese's-loving people everywhere just about lost their damn minds - POPSUGAR editors included. When we received a delivery of this glorious chocolate-peanut butter creation that combines all the best parts of both doughnuts and Reese's, we were more than ready to dive in. The limited-edition doughnut is filled with a generous portion of Reese's Peanut Butter Kreme filling, which is a lot smoother than regular peanut butter. The top of the doughnut is dipped in chocolate icing and is topped with a chocolate and peanut butter drizzle and Reese's Mini Peanut Butter chips and peanuts. It's a mouthful to say and even more of a mouthful to chew. Read on for a list of our taste testers' initial responses after biting into this incredibly rich doughnut.
- "The doughnuts nailed the taste of a Reese's, but the filling-to-doughnut ratio was a little high, which made it kinda heavy."
- "This is beautiful."
- "Super, super rich; only need half!"
- "Into it, but wouldn't order over the Original Glaze."
- "A little too sweet for a non-American, but delicious."
- "OMG, why did I check the calories?"
- "Holy sh*t."
- "I took out most of the filling because it's too much. Without all of the filling, I would love this!"
Overall, we believe that a chocolate doughnut with a peanut butter drizzle would be enough to satisfy our Reese's-doughnut cravings, but this overindulgent version is a lot more fun to eat! Be warned that it is beyond rich and that you should bring a friend to split one with, but if you've got a serious sweet tooth, this is exactly what you need.

My Period Completely Changed When I Went Vegan - Here's How
My periods have never treated me well. While many of my friends were able to function normally on the first day or two of their menstrual cycle, I was usually curled up in bed in the fetal position clutching a heating pad and cursing the world for making me a woman.
Not only were my cramps incredibly painful, but I also struggled with intense mood swings the few days before my period started. I would get into uncharacteristic fights with my boyfriend and friends, and I wanted to do nothing more than hole up in my room and block the world out. Each month was a terribly isolating experience, and I began to wonder if I suffered from some sort of disorder that was outside the scope of PMS.
I initially decided to go vegan for reasons that had nothing to do with my period. I gave up all animal products for environmental and ethical reasons, but I had heard from a few different people that adopting a plant-based diet would ease many of my menstrual woes. I was skeptical, to say the least.
After eating a strict plant-based diet for three months, though, I was shocked to see significant changes in my cycle. I was much less moody, less anxious, and less prone to crying for no reason. My cramps were minimal and my flow was much lighter.
Jennifer Wider, MD, nationally renowned women's health expert, told POPSUGAR that this isn't uncommon. Although there aren't many studies out there confirming this to be true, a plant-based diet is known to have a positive effect on menstruation. "Many women who adopt a plant-based diet have touted the benefits when it comes to their monthly cycles," Dr. Wider told POPSUGAR. "[They] describe lighter periods, less PMS symptoms including, mood swings, cramps, and even bloating."
Fast forward to another six months of being vegan, and I got to the point where, if I wasn't keeping track of my cycle, I didn't even know my period was coming until it surprisingly showed up. There were no warning signs - no debilitating cramps, no strange cravings, and no rage. And I would only bleed for two days, which was a huge improvement from my previous heavy six-day cycles.
Julieanna Hever, plant-based dietitian and health expert, said although there isn't much primary scientific data on this topic, she has heard dozens of anecdotal stories like this before, and she herself has experienced a significant improvement in her menstrual cycle when she changed her diet. "Plant-based diets are anti-inflammatory," she told POPSUGAR.
Dr. Wider agreed. "One of the reasons a plant-based diet may ease symptoms associated with the menstrual cycle is due to its anti-inflammatory effects," she told POPSUGAR. "Many women take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like Aleve, Motrin, and Advil while they have their periods to lessen the cramps, etc. A plant-based diet has may work in the same way."
"I think it's always important to consult your doctor before making any major switch," Dr. Wider advises. You may run the risk for suffering from low iron levels or even anemia. You can get a simple blood test from your doctor to see if you need to take a supplement after you make the dietary changes.
I've been vegan for quite a while now, and my period is so much easier to handle. It shows up on time every month and causes me little to no pain. I'm no longer moody or irritable. Rather than stopping me from going about my day-to-day life, my period comes and goes without much of a fuss. There's not a doubt in my mind that this is due to my plant-based diet.

If You Smoke Pot to Reduce Anxiety, It Turns Out There's a Perfect Amount To Use
Marijuana is being legalized for recreational use throughout the US, but how much should you smoke? Our friends at YourTango researched the perfect amount to reduce anxiety without inducing paranoia.
Smoke on!
I smoke pot.
I smoke it for three reasons.
I smoke it to help manage my crippling anxiety and panic disorders; I smoke it to help get me to sleep; and I smoke it to have the best sex of my life.
I don't smoke pot because I'm a lazy stoner whose only passion is Doritos. I don't smoke it to seem cool or get totally out of my mind like some wild co-ed.
I do it because it is one of very few things that can alleviate some of the major anxiety symptoms from which I suffer.
While I know that there are people who enjoy using marijuana suppositories in their vaginas, and marijuana lube to help loosen them up, I'm pretty old fashioned when it comes to how I introduce marijuana into my body: I use a vaporizer.
Related: 3 Peaceful Ways to Combat the Stress of Your Divorce
My reasons for smoking marijuana are not unique. A Yahoo News-Marist survey found 37% of participants cited this stress-relieving benefit, compared to 19% who turn to marijuana for pain relief, 16% who use it "to have fun" and 3% who report its effectiveness both as a sleep aid and a sexual booster.
I avoided smoking marijuana for a really long time. A huge part of why I avoided it was for the same reason I have avoided other illegal recreational drugs. It wasn't out of fear of being caught or arrested. It's because I am convinced that the drugs will trigger a panic attack in me, or worse case scenario, make me so anxious and fraught that I never get normal again.
A lot of people smoke weed just to relax, and I know a fair amount of anxious people who credit medical marijuana with helping them live with and manage their symptoms.
Related: Terrifying: This Is What Happens to Your Body When You're Stressed
That said, I have also heard horror stories about my anxious friends having serious panic attacks after smoking weed. Everyone talks about finding a happy medium, managing your anxiety without triggering a panic attack, but to me when it comes to my brain's chemistry, it seemed a little foolhardy to play a guessing game when it came to how much weed I should be ingesting.
I wanted science, I wanted hard answers. However, eventually, with the advice of my therapist and a licensed doctor, I realized that trying a low dose of marijuana medicinally might hold the answer for me. I wasn't sure what low dose meant, but luckily because I saw a doctor, the numbers were taken care of for me.
That hasn't kept me from keeping up with all the news about pot for anxiety, though. Lately, there's been a lot more legitimate scientific research about weed and how it can affect the anxious mind. A recent study gave different groups varying amounts of weed and put them in a high-stress, two-hour interview environment and here's what they found:
"Compared to those who took the placebo, the 7.5 mg group experienced less distress in the course of the TSST and were less likely to view it as 'threatening and challenging.' The stress they experienced also didn't last long. Things didn't go so well for the 12.5 mg cohort, however, who reported 'increased negative mood' before and throughout the test; they were also more disposed to find the task threatening and challenging, even before they had begun. Finally, they demonstrated impaired performance on the test itself."
Related: 12 Things Only People With Anxiety Can Teach You About Life
So there you have it. If you want a real number to hold on to, 7.5 mg of THC is all that is required to make a person feel relaxed.
To put that number in real terms, smoking half an average-sized joint, a person will consume 33 to 39 milligrams of THC. Translation: Just a couple of puffs should do you. So don't go overboard.
If you're a person like me who loves the positive effects of marijuana on your anxiety and your sex life, it turns out that less is absolutely more. Obviously, this is just one study, but if you've held back from pot as an option like I did, you might find news like this super exciting.

This Is Exactly What It Looks Like to Lose 420 Pounds
"I got tired of just surviving," Sal Paradiso told POPSUGAR. At the end of 2013 - at nearly 700 pounds - he knew that if he didn't make a drastic change, he "would be dead sooner than later."
Sal: Before
It has taken Sal three and a half years, but he's managed to lose over 420 pounds and change his life drastically with a variety of methods (the first 250 pounds were lost without surgery). No matter what kind of journey you're on, you can pick up tons amazing tip's from Sal's "odyssey" (Use a Fitbit! Eat lean proteins and veggies! Try swimming! Make a great playlist!), but we think the best part of the story is Sal's heartwarming motivation to get healthy and reclaim his life.
POPSUGAR: What made you decide to start your weight-loss journey?
Sal Paradiso: The moment that made me start thinking about my weight came near the end of 2013. While my weight was unknown at the time, I had just got tired of the daily struggle with being severely obese. I was 32 years old, and knew that if I didn't make drastic changes in my life, I wasn't going to see 40. I had estimated my weight at over 700 pounds, but was unable to get weighed to verify that. My father died of a heart attack at 42; he was relatively healthy at the time of his passing. I knew that he would be my motivation for fighting obesity head on, and doing my best to succeed. Everyday was a struggle, and I got tired of it. I wanted to live, rather than just survive, so I knew I had to fight back and retake my life back.
I was always the chunky kid in middle school and high school. Most of my weight came on after the passing of my father in the late '90s. I was still a teenager, and it was a hard thing to deal with at the time. Dealing with that [compounded with] a lousy work schedule that lead to poor eating habits and choices, and the weight just piled on. Many family and friends tried to get me to change, but much like alcoholics or drug addicts, you have to want to change.
PS: How did you choose your weight loss method?
SP: So at the end of 2013, I had sought out a weight loss surgeon and his dietitian. I was under their care for 15 months or so, and was losing weight, but still had not had surgery. During this time I was on a low-carb, high-protein diet. I went and sought out a second opinion, as I didn't think that surgeon and I were on the same page. The other surgeon I met with didn't see any issues with performing surgery, as I had already lost close to 200 pounds. So in November 2015 I underwent a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy surgery, but sadly that had to be aborted. It was a devastating blow, because I had worked so hard to get to that moment in time.
"Much like alcoholics or drug addicts, you have to want to change."
So I went home from the hospital and got back on the low-carb, high-protein diet and charged ahead with my weight loss. Come early 2016, my weight loss stalled badly, so I retook up the search for a different weight loss surgeon, and found one who performed a successful Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy surgery in July 2016. Going into surgery day, I had lost 254 pounds on my own. Some people ask me why after losing 200 plus pounds would I still consider surgery, and my answer has been I always felt surgery gave me the best chance for long-term success. During this time from 2014 to present I continue to add exercise to my daily routine. Early on I swam because it was easy on my joints. At almost 700 pounds, doing exercise on land was difficult, so the pool was a great help.
Sal: Today
PS: What's your favorite way to work out?
SP: Honestly, the pool is still one of my favorite workouts. Living in Florida, I take full advantage of the nice weather and warm pool. I also like biking as well. Into my routine I've also added free weight exercises. I'm still in the process of rebuilding my body from scratch and repairing the damage of my previous lifestyle. I've had to build myself up from the ground brick by brick, and I continue to build today.
PS: What's your weekly exercise schedule?
SP: I exercise four to five days a week at various times.
PS: How do you keep workouts exciting?
SP: Music helps greatly! Find music that motivates you further while you exercise. There have been times where I've felt fatigued and that right song comes on, and you get kicked up another level to complete your workout. 99 percent of the time I work out by myself, so my motivation for my workouts comes from my father and the promise I made him to not give up this time. Also the last several months I've had an additional dose of motivation in the form of my almost 5-month-old nephew.
PS: How much weight have you lost?
SP: To date I've lost 422 pounds, of which 254 of that was prior to surgery. It's taken me 41 months to get to this point, with still work to do.
Sal: Before Surgery
"Doing things we take for granted such as showering, getting dressed, and cooking, were all becoming easier to do."
PS: What was the first big difference, other than the number on the scale, that really made you feel proud and excited?
SP: Early on, I started to notice my clothes were falling off of me - literally. I was walking (and this will sounds funny) across the house and my shorts completely fell off; luckily no one was home! I started to notice things were getting a little easier. Doing things we take for granted such as showering, getting dressed, and cooking, were all becoming easier to do. My attitude became even more positive and outgoing than it already had been.
PS: How do you track your weight loss?
SP: In the age of apps, I use the good old pen and paper method. For myself I only track calories, protein, and carbohydrates. I have a good food scale and weigh out what I am eating. I also use my Fitbit One dashboard to log my scales weight weekly.
PS: What's a typical day of meals and snacks?
SP: Breakfast can be as simple as some turkey bacon or sausage, or a couple of scrambled eggs. Lunch can consist of a low carb pita with turkey, or just homemade chicken salad. Dinner usually consists of a lean protein - steak, chicken, or pork - with a side or two of vegetables or a salad. Snackwise I've come to really enjoy chicken or turkey jerky, or a good tasting protein bar. I also incorporate low-calorie cheese string as well.
PS: Do you count calories? What's the range of calories you eat per day?
SP: I do count calories. For me, I find counting them keeps me on track, and prevents me from overeating on calories. Our food today has so many hidden calories and stuff, that I find it important on my weight loss odyssey to keep track. Keeping track also allows me to go back after a week or so and see where I came in at and make additional improvements or changes. I try to stay around 1200-1300 calories daily. That for me is a good number to reach for everyday.
Sal: After Surgery
PS: What are the healthy staples that are always in your fridge?
SP: Things I always have on hand are chicken or turkey jerky, as well as low calorie or reduced fat cheese. Fruits and vegetables are readily available as well.
PS: How do you strategize for meals out?
SP: I don't really eat out anymore, but in situations where I do, I try to choose the healthiest options for me. Those choices could be as simple as a steak and salad or some kind of chicken and a vegetable.
" My dad was the reason I started this. I hope from heaven he is proud of the work I've done in getting healthy and taking back my life."
PS: Do you use a fitness tracker?
SP: When I first started out I didn't have a fitness tracker, but after eight months or so I wanted a way to visually see if I was indeed making improvements physically, other than just on the scale and looking different. So I purchased a Fitbit One. I definitely feel my fitness tracker has helped me strive to be better each day. It gives me a visual cue that I think is important, because you can actually see your results, rather than guessing or assuming.
Sal: Before and After
PS: What was the most influential aspect of your weight loss?
SP: The most powerful person in my odyssey has to go to my dad. He was the reason I started this. I hope from heaven he is proud of the work I've done in getting healthy and taking back my life. He's not alone though, my family, friends and social media friends have all pushed me and supported me in times where I've needed that extra boost or motivation. There are a lot of great people, and strangers who want to see me succeed, and that is both gratifying and humbling.
I'm truly grateful as well for my weight loss surgeon Clinton Hall out of Plant City, FL. With his help, he has continued to give me back a life I once thought was lost.
PS: What advice do you have for anyone starting out on a weight-loss journey?
SP: The most important thing I tell people is to surround yourself with great support, either face-to-face or in an online setting. There are many great, kind, open groups on Facebook that you can join. The first 4-6 weeks for me were the most hardest and difficult ever. Your body is fighting the changes, but if you can resist the urges, the rewards are endless. Something I want everyone to understand, that whether you lose your weight naturally, or with the help of weight loss surgery - and I've done both - you have to earn every pound. They're not free! There's no free and easy ride with weight loss. You got to put the work in to see results.
20 Photos That Prove Above-the-Elbow Tattoos Are Secretly Sexy
When it comes to deciding to get a tattoo, where you place it is just as important as what you're getting inked. If you're looking for a fresh idea, consider this subtle spot getting more and more popular: above the elbow. There's something a little secretive and sexy about the area - you can't directly see it yourself, nor can others see it when they're facing you. It's the ideal canvas for first-timers (especially if you're thinking of getting a tiny tattoo) and a pleasantly unexpected new spot for those who've tattooed everywhere else.
Bella Hadid jumped on the trend, recently going to celeb favorite Jon Boy for a delicate rosebud tattoo atop her left elbow. For even more inspiration, keep reading. You're going to want to pin these.

No, You're Not Losing It: Dickon Tarly Definitely Has a New Face on Game of Thrones
When we first meet Dickon Tarly, Samwell's pompous brother on Game of Thrones, he's at a very awkward Tarly family dinner in season six. He openly mocks his brother about his claims of killing a White Walker and is generally a big assh*le (no wonder Sam has all those self-esteem issues). He's played by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince actor Freddie Stroma in the episode (pictured above), who confirmed not long after it aired that he would not be returning to the series in season seven due to scheduling conflicts with his now-canceled show, Time After Time.
Although we were sad to see Stroma go, the actor was soon recast with a (very hot) replacement. Meet the new Dickon Tarly: Tom Hopper. Hopper, who's appeared in Black Sails and Merlin, made his debut in season seven's second episode during a tense conversation with Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) in King's Landing.
We know Dickon is the favored Tarly son and heir to Horn Hill since his older brother, Sam, was asked (aka forced) to join the Night's Watch by their father, Randyll Tarly, and is now at the Citadel training to be a Maester. We have only love for Sam, but we can't say we'd mind seeing more of Dickon in season seven, for obvious reasons. (His face. It's his face.)
Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn's Modern Family Is Absolutely Golden
Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn have one epic romance, but the only thing sweeter than their love story is their adorable blended family. Together, they share four children: Boston Russell, from Kurt's previous marriage to Season Hubley, Kate and Oliver Hudson, from Goldie's previous marriage to Bill Hudson, and their son, Wyatt, who they welcomed in 1986. In addition to their kids, they also have five grandchildren. While they have been known to post about their sweet family life on social media, they have also brought out the Russell/Hudson clan on the red carpet from time to time. 12 Harry Potter-Inspired Recipes You Can Bring to Life
Harry Potter fans can never get enough of the Wizarding World. Though it may be difficult (er, or impossible) for us measly muggles to re-create spells, one thing we can bring to life is the food and drink mentioned in the books. Though it may not be as easy as shouting "accio butterbeer!", these recipes are absolutely doable for the home cook.
Once You See Beyoncé's Latest Snaps, It'll Be Hard to Focus on Anything but Her Cleavage
Beyoncé gave birth to twins Rumi and Sir Carter on June 13, and we've been seeing a lot more of her lately. Following her sushi date with husband JAY-Z on Wednesday night, Beyoncé shared a cleavage-baring snap on her Instagram on Friday. In the shot, Queen Bey is shown drinking a glass of red wine at what looks like a restaurant, but her low-cut dress really makes it hard to focus on anything but her assets. Along with the photo, Beyoncé also included a video montage of her selfies for us to enjoy. We must say, Beyonc is looking good these days, but then again, when has she ever not?
The Flash: How the Team Will Deal With Barry's Absence Next Season
The Flash left us completely wrecked over that heartbreaking season three finale, but thankfully, more episodes are coming our way. While some actors will not be returning to Central City next season, you can expect a lot of heroes (and villains) to pop up in their place. Plus, for all you die-hard DC Comics fans, there is another epic crossover in store! Brush up on all the details below, because season four will be here in a flash.
There's a Time Jump
During an interview with ComicBook, Candice Patton revealed that next season picks up six months after the season-three finale. "S.T.A.R. Labs is trying to keep it together without Barry, so Kid Flash is kind of taking up a lot of the slack," she said. "It's hard not having him around."
Sadly, Tom Felton Is Not Returning
After joining the show as a regular during the third season, the Harry Potter alum will not be reprising his role as Julian Albert. Guess Caitlin Snow and Julian, better known by fans as Snowbert, just weren't meant to be.
Expect a Lot of Fresh Faces in Central City
Even though Felton won't be returning, there are quite a few new characters in store next season. Hartley Sawyer (Saving the Human Race) has landed a recurring role as the Elongated Man, Kim Engelbrecht (Dominion) will be playing the Mechanic, and Danny Trejo (Sons of Anarchy) has signed on to play the role of Breacher.
There's a New Villain in Town
The 100 alum Neil Sandilands has signed on as DC Comics villain Clifford Devoe, aka the Thinker. "This year, with three speedsters in a row that we did, we wanted to change it up," executive producer Todd Helbing said at Comic-Con. "The way we're explaining it is the fastest man alive versus the fastest mind alive."
This Season Will Have Less Darkness, Thank Goodness
After countless bleak battles (and a few deaths) for Team Flash over the past three seasons, it seems like there is finally a glimmer of light this time around. "A big thing this year is we're really trying to lighten the tone a little bit," Helbing said at Comic-Con. "Last year it got pretty dark and we want to get back to the jokes."
Iris Will Step Up as a Leader
"Iris is devastated that he's gone into the Speed Force and they didn't really have a discussion about it," Patton said about her character during Comic-Con. "We pick up season four, Iris has focused her energy on being the leader of Team Flash. She steps up and leads the team, which is really, really cool."
Don't Worry, Barry Will Get Out of the Speed Force
While season three ends with Barry sacrificing himself and returning to the speed force, we have a feeling he won't be there very long. In fact, Patton revealed that Iris will play a vital role in his escape. "Yeah, to a degree," she said. "I'd say so. Yes, she does. She's boss lady in Team Flash now, so she's an active participant in getting her man out of the Speed Force." Hopefully that means the West-Allen wedding is back on track!

8 Features on iOS 11 That'll Make You Wish It Was Out Already
At Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 5, the company unveiled a series of new software and product updates. In addition to the new macOS High Sierra, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11, Apple introduced iOS 11. The latest iOS system will come with the following new features:
- Pay your friends back with Apple Pay: Send money to your friends and family via Apple Pay in an iMessage.
- Control Center has a new look: Instead of swiping back and forth to access your music and other features, all of the controls are now on one screen.
- Siri is getting better: The voices will sound a bit more human and Siri will be able to translate English instantly into Chinese, Spanish, French, German, and Italian.
- Do Not Disturb is coming for drivers: You can now turn on do not disturb if you're driving. Now, if someone contacts you and this feature is on, they'll receive a message that you're driving. As a driver, you won't even get a notification, so that you're fully concentrated on the road. However, you can list certain people who can reply with "urgent" to get through to you.
- The camera is getting better again: If you love portrait mode on the iPhone 7 Plus, you'll now be able to take low-light portraits with iOS 11.
- Do more with your photos: The memories featured in Photos will now use machine learning to identify specific events or figures like a wedding or a pet. You can also create movies out of photos taken in portrait mode, as well as trim live photos or add a long exposure, seamless loop, or bounce effect to one.
- Use Apple Music with your friends: "Shared Up Next," lets your friends add music to a playlist without interrupting the current song. The Apple Music app will also show what your friends are listening to.
- Maps has some needed updates: The Maps app will now include detailed floor plans for malls and airports in major cities, as well as show you your speed limit and give you lane guidance.
Ahead, see some photos of the new features.

A Llama, Bagel, and New Poop Emoji Might Be Coming in 2018
While the world still waits for this year's new emoji to arrive on our phones, the Unicode Consortium has released a list of new emoji candidates for 2018. The list includes fun animals like a llama and kangaroo and much needed food emoji like a bagel and cupcake. Best of all, it looks like the poop emoji could get an upgrade.
The full list, announced on Aug. 3, includes 67 possible new emoji. As you can see above, new emoji faces like party face, cold face, and feeling loved are under consideration.
Previously announced emoji, like the redhead emoji, are still on the list. Other hair emoji, such as the ones ahead, "will be confirmed at a later date," according to Emojipedia.
As mentioned, the biggest change involves the beloved poop emoji. It's not going away; it just may gain a counterpart - the frowning pile of poo emoji.
Check out the full list of proposed emoji over on Emojipedia. And keep in mind that it isn't all set in stone; the Unicode Consortium might add or remove some emoji before the final candidate list is revealed in October.
You Won't Believe This Gorgeous House Is Only 362 Square Feet
"At under 400 square feet, our Craftsman cottage is indeed tiny, but in the five years we've been here, we've never needed more space," says Whitney Leigh Morris, small-space living aficionado, designer, and blogger behind The Tiny Canal Cottage. So what's her secret to making everything fit? "Nearly everything about the cottage - from the built-ins to the decor - was deliberately chosen to maximize the space. I selected furniture and accessories over time as we learned how to best navigate this particular layout with one another." Whitney recently refreshed her Venice Beach, CA, home for Spring, and the pictures were so stylish and full of small-space living inspiration that we had to share them with you. An African-American Woman Just Made Army History, and It's So Damn Inspiring
Congratulations are in order for Simone Askew, a 20-year-old Army cadet who has just been appointed as West Point's first captain. As captain, Askew will take on highest position in the cadet chain of command, leading over 4,000 cadets at the military school. She'll also be the first African-American women to serve in the honorable position. "It's a great step for not only women, but African-American women, because it shows that no matter what your sex, or your race, you can really do anything," her sister, Nina Askew, told NBC Washington. "There's nothing that can hold you back."
Steven W. Gilland, who currently serves as the commandant of cadets, also sung Askew's praises. "Simone truly exemplifies our values of Duty, Honor, Country," Gilland said in an official statement released on the Army's website. "Her selection is a direct result of her hard work, dedication and commitment to the Corps over the last three years. I know Simone and the rest of our incredibly talented leaders within the Class of 2018 will provide exceptional leadership to the Corps of Cadets in the upcoming academic year."
So damn inspiring. Congrats, Simone!
What Really Drives Airbnb Hosts Crazy
The best Airbnb hosts aim to make their places feel like your home away from home, so you should treat it that way. Unfortunately, that's not always the case.
I've been renting out my home for the past year, and a few common guest habits get under my skin.
I've been renting out my home while I travel for the past year and just received "Superhost" status, which means the majority of my guests have had positive experiences. And overall, I've been pleasantly surprised by how friendly and responsible my guests have been. Still, sometimes a few common guest habits get under my skin. If you want to keep your guest profile positive, you'd be smart to avoid these bad habits. Unlike hotels, guests on Airbnb get reviewed, too. And hosts might consider them when deciding whether or not to approve you for your stay.
I recently chatted with fellow Superhost Sara Combs to compare our pet peeves. Combs rents out beautiful spaces in Joshua Tree, CA, and loves being an Airbnb host. But thanks to two years doing it, she also has some helpful insight for guests trying to make the best impression. Check out our list of seven things that drive an Airbnb host crazy, as well as one thing you can do to really impress them.
1. Disrespecting the Neighbors or the Surroundings
As a host, one of the biggest challenges I've had is making sure my guests don't disturb my downstairs neighbors. I try to handle this by leaving a sign by my front door asking people to remove their shoes and reminding guests when they check in to be mindful of the noise. So when I get a text from my neighbors at 2 a.m. asking for my guests to turn down their music, my heart sinks.
"Airbnb offers an amazing opportunity to travel and feel like a local," Combs points out. With that in mind, you should be mindful of the locals you may interact with. "It's especially important to respect neighbors and sound levels, as well as leaving the local environment the same or better than how you found it."
2. Failing to Read Check-in Instructions and Other Information
Hosts put a lot of time into writing and updating their instruction manuals for their guests and do their best to make check-in smooth. Sometimes guests miss the memo. I'll never forget the guest who showed up at my place at 2 a.m. and simply called my cell phone to tell me she was at my front door ready to be let in. Never mind the fact that my front door has a keypad lock and I had sent the codes earlier that week. My guest hadn't even bothered to read my basic check-in message.
On the flip side, it makes a great impression when you do take the time to read what a host has put together for you, as Combs explains: "We're incredibly appreciative when guests do read the details of our listing or our check-in email before asking questions. We're always happy to answer questions, but guests make us feel particularly respected when they read what we've taken the time to send them first."
3. Waiting Until the Review to Complain About Fixable Issues
While hosts hope you read their instructions before contacting them, they also want you to know the lines of communication are open. It's not fun to read a critique in a review when you know you could have easily resolved it and improved your guest's stay. For example, I had one guest complain in the review that I only provided one towel per person. While that seemed reasonable to me for a four-day stay, I would have happily let her know where she could find more towels if she had asked me when she arrived. The best guests let us know if there's something they want or need, and we can almost always accommodate their request. Don't be shy!
4. Breaking the House Rules
Airbnb hosts think hard about house rules, which may include a ban on smoking, events, or even young children staying in the home. Since they are clearly visible on the listing description and right before you book your stay, there is really no excuse for violating them.
5. Misleading Your Host About What You Plan to Do With the Space
"We've noticed a recent trend of bookings that mention just relaxing with friends, and upon check-in a whole crew arrives for a photo shoot," Combs says. She finds it frustrating when companies view her Airbnb listings as free locations to promote their goods. "We really appreciate honesty about true intentions for a booking," she continues, "and do offer a reasonable location fee for those looking to use the house for profit."
I love when guests are completely transparent with me. I've had one who told me she planned to host Thanksgiving dinner in my place, which was totally fine, but also good to know in case any issues came up with noise. If you plan to use a rented Airbnb for something other than sleeping, relaxing, and eating meals with other registered guests, you should tell your host before you book.
6. Lying About the Number of Guests
Some hosts have an additional charges for extra guests. So don't be sneaky and mark only four guests when you really plan on having five. If you do, the host might not be prepared for additional laundry or cleaning that comes with extra guests. Also, if something comes up and a friend has to crash, just let your host know. They'll appreciate it.
7. Expecting 24/7 Hotel-Level Service
There's no denying that hotels offer more service. You can have a concierge make reservations for you, expect your room to be cleaned each day, call the front desk if a neighbor is making too much noise, and get help carrying your bags up to your room. When you're staying at an Airbnb, you trade some of those comforts for a more authentic experience. But that means you may have to deal with the realities of living in your own place, like buying toilet paper if it runs out and researching logistics on your own. It can be frustrating as a host when a "needy" guest contacts you constantly about things they could Google themselves or expects you to make very specific things materialize. Let's just say it drives hosts crazy when you call them after 11 p.m. to ask how the washing machine works when you could read it in their house manual.
One tip to make it feel more like a hotel: if you're staying for more than a week, ask your host if they might be able to arrange a cleaning for you midstay. They might even throw it in free of charge.
The One Thing They Love: When You Leave a Personal Touch
"We've had so many wonderful guests over the years and have even become great friends with some of them," says Combs. Her mind is always blown when guests leave a gift, which may include a bottle of wine, a chocolate bar from their country, or a drawing they did while at the house. In my experience, I've also noticed the best guests will try to connect on a personal level, either asking where I bought a piece of furniture they loved or letting me know they enjoyed a tourist recommendation I made. That feels like the best of Airbnb: only good surprises.
Question: How Tall Is Game of Thrones Star Gwendoline Christie? Answer: Very
Gwendoline Christie has played badass solider Brienne of Tarth on Game of Thrones since 2012, and even if you don't watch the show, you've likely seen photos of her and thought, "Damn, she's tall." And whether the 38-year-old English actress is towering over her costars at events or slaying the red carpet like a supermodel, Gwendoline's statuesque beauty will absolutely stop you in your tracks. So, just how tall is she? Gwendoline's gorgeous frame comes in at a cool 6 feet 3 inches (or 191 centimeters for those of you using the metric system), and that's without heels, people. No matter how you measure it, she's striking as f*ck - and we'd want her on our side any day.
These Dazzling Glowworm Caves in New Zealand Are a Sight to Behold
If you ever find yourself in New Zealand, do not miss the dazzling Waitomo Glowworm caves. Travelers can take boat tours along the Waitomo river through a series of lit tunnels inhabited by millions of glowworms called Arachnocampa luminosa. This peculiar species is made up of luminescent fungus gnats that are unique to New Zealand, and they only show themselves in darkness. Their twinkle attracts moths, which the glowing gnats catch in their slimy webs and feed on. In the photos ahead, the caves resemble a neon galaxy that's truly a sight to behold.
Photography is strictly prohibited during the boat ride as it will disturb the glowworms, but some companies offer professional photos to be purchased from your tour. See the photos, and check out National Geographic's stunning 360-degree video of the caves.

7 Ways to Make Your Small Bathroom Feel Spacious
Designing a small bathroom can be challenging, especially if you are on a budget. The best way to make it more functional is to increase the floor space while allowing all the essentials to fit in the right way. Although renovating the entire bathroom according to your needs is a good option, it can be really expensive, mainly if you want to entirely change the plumbing. But if you are on a limited budget, you can still add a lot of space to make it more functional. Here are seven ways to do it!

10 Tricks For Better Fruit Salads
It may seem as though there's not much to a fruit salad other than tossing chopped fruit in a bowl, but a few simple tricks transform a flat fruit salad into something enticing to the eye and pleasing to the palate. From picking fruit with the same level of ripeness to spritzing fruit with lemon juice, these 10 tricks will help you make better fruit salads all year round.
21 Bold Kate Middleton Outfits That Probably Weren't Queen Approved
Based on her track record, it may be hard to believe Kate ever donned something that could raise eyebrows, but every once in a while we've caught her ditching her sophisticated brand of dressing for something a little more casual. From outings in lazy-day hoodies to laid-back blue jeans, we love seeing proof that sometimes Kate can mix it up.
While we may love Kate's foray into casualwear, we have a feeling the Queen wouldn't approve of these not-so-princessy pieces. Just try to imagine Queen Elizabeth donning the same sporty separates, sneakers, or funky hats - we all know, it just wouldn't happen. So while we're under the impression that it's basically impossible for Kate to wear a bad outfit, it's fun to imagine how the royals really felt when they saw these, ahem, nontraditional styles.
The Guy Playing Jafar in Disney's Aladdin Reboot Is Hotter Than the Desert of Agrabah
The cast of Disney's Aladdin reboot is coming together quite nicely - and includes some very attractive men. From Will Smith as Genie to Aladdin himself, newcomer Mena Massoud, we're really liking where this is going in terms of eye candy - and on Friday, it was announced that Dutch-Tunisian actor Marwan Kenzari would be playing the role of Jafar. Even though the character is a total d*ck, we'd be lying if we said we didn't appreciate a sexy villain. The 34-year-old has starred in The Promise and The Mummy and is expected to skyrocket to fame thanks to his upcoming role in the mystery film Murder on the Orient Express. In the meantime, let's appreciate his very, very good looks.
What Happened After TSA "Checked" This Mom's Breast Milk Will Make Your Blood Boil
After a vacation with her two kids in honor of Spring break, Stacie Vroman and her husband experienced a nightmare in Florida that no breastfeeding mom should have to endure.
According to Stacie, she and her family arrived at St. Pete-Clearwater International airport an hour and a half before their flight home to Michigan, but TSA officials stopped them because of her two bottles of breast milk. Although this story starts out like many other infuriating tales of new moms who are questioned and oftentimes held over their breast milk, Stacie's situation is arguably even more upsetting.
Stacie claims that she took the breast milk out of her bag and alerted agents to them before the screening process began, per TSA's requirements on their website. "They set it aside and then said we had to check it. I said, 'OK, that's fine.' I understand that and it just sat there," Stacie told ABC Action News. "I said, 'Are you guys going to check it?'"
After continuing to wait for security to check the two three-ounce bottles of milk, Stacie said that she asked to speak to a supervisor while the rest of her family waited at the gate. "It almost felt like they were being vindictive at that point . . . almost a power trip or something and I don't know if they weren't trained properly with how to test it," she said. "And I had asked TSA, I said, 'Can you guys just check it because I have to get on the flight.' Like I'm my child's source of food . . . so I have to be on the same flight, otherwise we don't have a way to feed him," she told Wood TV.
When TSA agents still didn't move forward in checking the milk, Stacie asked if she could just dump out the bottles so that she could board the flight with her family. "I have to go because I have to be able to feed him. And they said, 'No, you can't leave,'" Stacie said. "As a mom, to be able to feed your kid and feel like you're not going to be able to, it was extremely frustrating."
Not only did Stacie and her family miss their flights and have to pay to get new tickets home, they also had to take a much later flight that went to a different, further-away airport. This meant that they also had to pay for a rental car to drive home that night. After the incident went viral, Stacie said that the airline contacted her and offered to refund the change-of-flight fees. According to ABC Action News, TSA said in an emailed statement that the "officers working at the checkpoint correctly followed all procedures." They also said that Stacie passed through the metal detectors 12 minutes before her flight's departure.
"No one wants to take responsibility for it either. I will take responsibility in saying that you know, maybe I should have gotten there even earlier. I will say that, but the unfortunate thing is how early would have been early enough? You know, the lines were so long. I don't even think that would have matter(ed)," Stacie said. "It's probably too much to ask that they change policy for breastfeeding moms, but just having human decency to understand that all I really was trying to do was feed my child. I went and I followed their guidelines."

Game of Thrones: Who Actually Knows About the White Walkers?
It's official: the White Walkers need better PR people. Despite appearing in the first scene of the Game of Thrones pilot episode, only a handful of people in Westeros are aware that the Night King and his army of the undead aren't just the stuff of legends. Jon Snow faces this fact when he can't get Daenerys or her followers to understand the threat rising in the North.
Even though he's seen the White Walkers with his own eyes, it's hard for the King in the North to convey the sense of urgency to people who believe ice zombies are nothing more than bedtime stories told to the sweet Summer children of Westeros. At this point in the series, it's important to know who knows about the White Walkers versus who actually believes they exist. As Jon's experience at Dragonstone illustrates, those two groups don't overlap nearly enough.
Adding to the problem is the number of people who know about the White Walkers, but who are now, sadly, no longer among the living themselves. This list includes Stannis, Jeor Mormont, Osha, Ygritte, Maester Aemon, and Mance Rayder - as well as countless members of the Night's Watch, the Free Folk, and the Children of the Forest, who have died in battle with the Night King's army. It's surprising that at this late stage in the game, so many people are still looking toward the Iron Throne, when Winter is a threat to the entirety of the Seven Kingdoms.
Right now, there are a handful of people who have either seen White Walkers first hand or believe in their existence, and quite a few more who are pretending Westeros isn't under attack. If the latter group doesn't get on board with the former soon, then the Seven Kingdoms is going to be in major trouble. Here's a list of all the people who know the White Walkers are coming - whether they choose to believe in them or not.
Tormund & The Free Folk
Tormund and the rest of the Wildlings have been driven out of their homelands by the dead. For the first time in centuries, they're living on the other side of the Wall because they know it's the only thing standing between them and certain death. This reality has led to many of the Free Folk standing with Jon Snow and the North, with Tormund acting as a de facto leader of sorts for the ragtag group.
Jon Snow & The Night's Watch
The Night's Watch has been trying to spread the message that the White Walkers are coming since the series began. Poor deserter Will loses his head when he tells Ned what he witnesses beyond the Wall, and he is far from the last member of the Night's Watch to face ridicule or pity when describing the horrors lurking just beyond Westeros's borders. Daenerys certainly doesn't have much patience for Jon's stories, much to his frustration. But as one of the few people to face the White Walkers and live, the King in the North isn't going to stop trying to convince the rest of the Seven Kingdoms that they're in imminent danger.
Ser Davos
The Onion Knight first found out about the White Walkers while in the service of Stannis. Now he's firmly on Jon Snow's side and is one of the show's most passionate advocates for focusing on the trouble in the North, rather than the Iron Throne.
Sam & Gilly
Jon's best friend and Gilly are in the Citadel gathering information to help Jon in the fight to come. Sam earns the nickname "Sam the Slayer" when he discovers dragonglass can kill the White Walkers. Meanwhile, as one of Craster's daughters, Gilly witnesses countless male babies being left in the snow as a sacrifice to the Night King's army.
Bran & Meera
Thanks to their adventures beyond the Wall, Bran and Meera know firsthand the deadly consequences of dealing with the undead. During their journey they witness the deaths of several of their companions, including Hodor, Jojen, the Three-Eyed Raven, and Summer. Bran's greensight abilities seem to give him a special connection to the Night King, and he's the only person aside from the Children of the Forest who is there to witness the leader of the White Walker's creation.
Melisandre
Melisandre is keenly aware of the army of the dead marching toward Westeros, and she believes only Azor Ahai reborn can save the world from destruction.
The Hound & The Brotherhood Without Banners
The Hound and the Brotherhood are journeying further North after seeing visions of the White Walkers going around the Wall. It seems inevitable that they will meet up with Jon and his people before season seven comes to an end.
Sansa & The North
Sansa and the people of the North seem to believe Jon and the Free Folk's account of their experiences beyond the Wall. They are rallying behind their new king and prepping for a battle with the White Walkers.
Cersei
Cersei, Varys, Littlefinger, Tyrion, and Maester Pycelle receive a raven from Castle Black in season two detailing Lord Mormont's first encounter with a White Walker. Among them, only Tyrion even remotely believes the story, and Cersei openly dismisses the idea of an undead army. Given that she now has a zombie of sorts guarding her in the form of the Mountain, it's impossible not to wonder if her position on the subject has changed.
Tyrion
Lord Commander Mormont asks Tyrion to tell Cersei about the undead army way back in season one, but he still seems rather unconvinced about their existence or the threat they pose. He does get a few points for convincing Daenerys to let Jon mine the dragonglass at Dragonstone for weapons though.
Archmaester Marwyn
The Archmaester of the Citadel isn't particularly bothered by the idea of the White Walkers, much to Sam's frustration.
Randyll Tarly
Sam's dad is way more concerned that his son is involved with a wildling than he is about Sam's experience facing and slaying a White Walker. He needs to sort out his priorities.
Daenerys
Now that she's met Jon, Daenerys officially knows about the Night King and his army. So far, she's still more concerned about winning the Iron Throne, but Jon isn't going to give up on trying to sway her (and her considerable army) to his side.
More people know about the White Walkers than ever before, but Jon needs more people to believe in them if he has any hope of saving the people of the Seven Kingdoms.

The Surprising Truth About Refrigerating Butter
One of the most heated debates in the kitchen is whether or not you should refrigerate butter. Some people cringe at the thought of leaving butter on the countertop, while others swear there's nothing worse than cold, hard butter straight from the fridge. It's an understandable question with an even more complicated answer. The short answer? It's OK to leave it out - with some restrictions.
While butter is a dairy product, it's mostly fat, meaning that it's less susceptible to bacteria. Salted butter is even less prone to bacterial growth than unsalted butter because of its sodium content, so the shelf life of the two types of butter is slightly different. When it comes to leaving butter out of the fridge, the first important rule is that it should be kept in a butter crock or a similar airtight container. If butter is exposed to air, it spoils much more quickly. When properly sealed in the container after each use, salted butter sitting out in a crock will last about two weeks, according to Organic Authority. If room temperature in your kitchen reaches above 70°F, however, it's best to refrigerate ASAP. But unsalted butter is best left in the fridge at all times.
I went to college with a man, nay, a boy, who insisted on leaving butter on the counter and never refrigerated it.

Dunno what annoys me more about my mums bf, the fact he butters one side of bread for a sandwich or him leaving the butter out the fridge

If you need softened butter for baking but didn't give it a chance to reach room temperature, the trick is to grate the butter so it becomes soft
