The Bambi Pose Is Real, and Bella Hadid's Not the First to Do It

If you ever find yourself sitting upright in child's position during yoga, you're essentially doing the Bambi pose. Coined by Elle, this move is defined by having your thighs over your calves. (For reference, we included a photo of Disney's Bambi in this position below). Meanwhile, your hands can rest on top of your legs, to the side, or you can hold a drink (our preferable choice). You can also arch your back a little, preferably doing so in a swimsuit to maximize this pose's Instagram potential.

The Bambi pose phenomenon - it's real, guys! - has been perfected by the likes of Bella Hadid, Kylie Jenner, and a handful of fashion influencers. Olivia Culpo even did it in denim shorts and a tee while packing, proving you can strike a Bambi pose anywhere, anytime. This Instagram trend might last longer than the thighbrow.

Princess Diana Has 2 Handbags Named After Her - and They're Still Being Sold Today

If you're a fashion girl, you're probably familiar with the classic Lady Dior bag and the signature Gancio clasp spotted on Salvatore Ferragamo Lady D chain-strap designs. But you might not have realized that these two creations were named after and popularized by the late Princess Diana.

While she collected an assortment of luxury handbags throughout the years, Diana's black quilted Dior satchel with gold hardware and her many Ferragamo crossbody pouches became iconic. Today, both brands still market these silhouettes with ties to the beloved royal. Read on to see Princess Diana wearing them, then shop the modernized versions.

13 Reasons Your Kid Is a Brat That Are Completely Your Fault

Parenting can feel like an uphill battle, no matter your child's age. Not only is there a lot of pressure, but it also feels like whatever you're doing is constantly being scrutinized by strangers, friends, and family.

If you're involved in your kids' lives, then you hear that you're a helicopter parent and you're raising a fragile child. If you leave your children alone and try to let them work things out on their own, then you're neglectful. It seems as though no matter what there's someone there to tell you that you're doing it wrong.

However, a lot of issues with brattiness are the parents' fault - or at least become the parents' responsibility to fix. Although children might pick up bad behavior by modeling what they see on TV or at school, parents are still to blame if they don't put an end to it or just attribute it to age.

"It's not really fair; it's just kind of the way it is," Elaine Rose Glickman, author of Your Kid's a Brat and It's All Your Fault, told POPSUGAR. "If we don't teach our kids a better way, nobody else is stepping up to do so."

The first step to breaking that bratty behavior is realizing what you're doing to contribute to it. Here, the 13 problematic things that parents of spoiled kids do.

Viola Davis Prayed For a Husband and Was Blessed With a Real Winner

Viola Davis took home her first Oscar this year, and the phenomenal Fences and How to Get Away With Murder star had her biggest fan by her side: her husband, Julius Tennon. Viola and Julius, a theater veteran and TV actor, met on the set of City of Angels in 1999, just weeks after Viola prayed for a husband. "I was the loneliest woman in the world, and someone said, 'You should just pray for a husband,'" she told Page Six. "I said I wanted a big black man from the South who looked like a football player, who already had children, who maybe had been married before. Three and a half weeks later, I met my husband." The couple tied the knot in 2003 and recently renewed their vows with a star-studded second wedding ceremony; they share a daughter, Genesis, who they adopted as a newborn in 2011, as well as Julius's two sons from a previous relationship.

They have quickly become one of our favorite Hollywood couples to watch. The way Julius looks at Viola warms our hearts, and they seem to not just love each other to pieces, but really respect and value each other, too. They also dial their red carpet appearances up a notch by color-coordinating their outfits, which is just adorable. In 2017, Viola has made history by becoming the first black actress to be nominated for three Oscars and the first black actress to win five SAG Awards. She also took home a best supporting actress Academy Award, making her just the seventh black woman to do so. But Julius, while obviously thrilled for his wife, is no slouch; he was admitted to the University of Tulsa on a full football scholarship and the first African American to graduate from its theater department. He's also starred on the small screen in Criminal Minds and ER and works with Viola as a copartner on their production company, JuVee Productions. We're taking a look at the cutest photos from Julius and Viola's 16-year relationship - look through to see them all now (seriously, how cute are their matching outfits?).

6 Tips For Getting Ahead in a Male-Dominated Industry

I have a good news/bad news situation for you.

The good news: Fortune magazine cited 2017 as a record-breaking year for female Fortune 500 CEOs.

The bad news: we're talking about only 32 women on a list of 500.

Unfortunately, the Boys' Club is still alive and well. I've seen it throughout my career in tech, working for creative agencies and in innovation consulting. Women have always been outnumbered – and it gets more extreme the higher you climb.

That hasn't stopped me, though. If anything, it fuels my fire. I'm determined to make my mark and be a part of the change. Are you with me? If so, here are some tips for getting ahead in a male-dominated industry.

The Touching Reason Princess Diana Wasn't "a Gloves Person"

Princess Diana will forever be our ultimate style icon, but it looks like there was a powerful reason behind one of her most frequent fashion choices. The late Royal often sported gorgeous gowns and eye-catching jewels, but have you ever noticed how she rarely wore gloves? Though Diana did slip on the accessory from time to time, she often broke the royal protocol to send a strong message to the world: her crown didn't separate her from others - even those who had stigmatic diseases.

Back in 1987, the late Princess of Wales shared a gloveless handshake with an AIDS patient in London, a move that wowed the world at a time when many feared the disease. Looking back at the noteworthy moment, her brother, Charles, opened up to People magazine about why Diana chose to make such a bold statement at that moment and during many other moments that followed.

"She was not really a gloves person," he admitted. "She was very real about human contact. And what really mattered that day was to get across a very clear message that, 'I'm going to touch this gentleman - and you can all exist in a community with people who are suffering, and we must help.'"

To honor Diana's royal protocol-smashing style and attitude, let's take a look back at some of her best gloveless moments.

Find Out Why Kate and Will Took Over Princess Diana's Former Apartment

Prince William and Kate Middleton may currently call their country house, Anmer Hall, home, but their official residence is apartment 1A inside London's Kensington Palace, where Prince Harry also resides. The trio has even more claim in the historic royal residence, though, since they also use apartment 8 as their headquarters for official duties and charitable work. The renovated space, which has ample room for meetings and plenty of areas for entertaining, was Princess Diana's home until her death in 1997.

The working apartments are situated on the opposite side of the palace from apartment 1A, which was formerly Princess Margaret's living quarters. (We got a rare glimpse inside their private space when President Barack Obama and the first lady visited.) The location is ideally suited for Kate and Will, who will make the London apartment their primary residence in 2017, when Prince George attends Thomas's Battersea School in September. And of course for Harry, who conveniently lives just steps away.

The Theme for Next Year's Met Gala May Just Be Its Most Controversial Yet

The Met Gala has had many thought-provoking themes over the years, but 2018's may just be its most controversial topic yet. Even though the first Monday in May is still months away, the Costume Institute has reportedly already begun planning for fashion's most memorable red carpet.

According to WWD, the 2018 theme will be focused on fashion and religion. It has been said that the topic was chosen since many major designers such as John Galliano and Riccardo Tisci have been referencing religion in their collections. While we had many feelings about people not following last year's "Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: The Art of the In-Between" theme, we have an inkling that next year's event will be one for the books, with some celebrities hitting the mark and others trying on more daring looks.

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris First Met and Fell in Love in the '80s - Well, Sort Of

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris brought joy to our lives for years with their adorable relationship, sweet red carpet moments, and normal family life with their son, Jack. But in August 2017, the two shocked fans when they announced their decision to legally separate. "We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed," they said. "We still love each other and will always cherish our time together."

That time together started way back in 2007 on the set of Take Me Home Tonight, a movie set in the '80s about a recent college graduate (Topher Grace) who has no idea what he wants to do with his life. After attending a Labor Day party in his hometown, he tries to win over his high school crush (Teresa Palmer) and prove that he can make decisions for his future.

Anna plays Topher's twin sister, while Chris plays her onscreen boyfriend-turned-fiancé-turned-ex. While things didn't work out for their characters, the two fell in love on set. "This is a pretty spectacular moment for us, to be able to come to this movie that we met on and fell in love making," Chris said at the film's 2011 premiere (it was delayed for years due to scenes showing heavy cocaine use among young adults). It's also worth noting that Anna was still married to her first husband, actor Ben Indra, when filming began in February 2007, but Chris admitted that he didn't make a move until after she filed for divorce that April. Now, excuse us while we mourn their breakup with the rest of the world.

The 1 Thing You Should Never Put on a Sandwich, According to the Sandwich King Himself

The perfect sandwich is a delicate art, and if there's anyone who's perfected it, it's Food Network chef and sandwich king Jeff Mauro. Mauro spilled his sandwich dos and don'ts to us, along with his thoughts on fatherhood, cooking for kids, and the perfect sandwich bread. Keep reading to learn his best advice.

POPSUGAR: What's the ultimate breakfast sandwich?
Jeff Mauro: Perfectly griddled sausage patty, everything bagel, veggie cream cheese, and pickled jalapeños, of course.

PS: What's the worst thing anyone could put on a sandwich?
JM: Mealy tomatoes.

PS: What's the best sandwich bread ever?
JM: The answer is NONE. Each sandwich has at least one appropriate bread to act as the vehicle.

PS: Does your son eat what you cook? How do you get him to eat vegetables?
JM: Kind of. He always eats the protein we make, and starch (usually sweet potatoes) and veggies. He's still not eating salads or asparagus, but we've always fed him well-seasoned and well-balanced food. I guess the trick is, and mind you, I only have one kid, to really not give [kids] a choice. They have to at least taste everything you make.

PS: What's your ultimate Father's Day meal?
JM: My ideal Father's Day meal is a big grilled beef tenderloin. Pair that with tons of mushrooms, something cheesy, and lots of Mark West wine.

PS: What's the most fun thing about being a chef who is a dad?
JM: Taking pride in the fact that my boy knows and respects good food and where it comes from and what it takes to make it. Now with my restaurant Pork & Mindy's in Chicago, he can come hang out with me on the weekends and see food from that end of the business. Plus, I'm proud that my boy can crack an egg like a champ.

This Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Music Video Stars David Hasselhoff and It's Just . . . Wow

Up until this moment, I had no idea how badly I needed a music video starring David Hasselhoff and the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 cast in my life. Luckily the movie's director, James Gunn, did us all a favor by convincing the Hollywood powers that be to let him make one, and it's incredible. The gloriously cheesy, trippy video (directed by David Yarovesky) features a song titled "Guardians Inferno," as well as appearances from franchise stars Zoe Saldana, Sean Gunn, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, and Karen Gillan, all of whom are decked out in some hilarious '70s costumes (and really bad wigs).

Gunn briefly pops up in the clip himself, as does director Guillermo del Toro (what?!), Marvel legend Stan Lee, and, of course, Hasselhoff. The Baywatch icon belts out the song before closing the video with some sage advice ("Just remember, in these times of hardship: We. Are. Groot."). Gunn also wrangled Star Lord (aka Chris Pratt) for a breathless appearance at the end of the video, so check it out above to see if you can spot him!

My Period Completely Changed When I Went Vegan - Here's How

My periods have never treated me well. While many of my friends were able to function normally on the first day or two of their menstrual cycle, I was usually curled up in bed in the fetal position clutching a heating pad and cursing the world for making me a woman.

Not only were my cramps incredibly painful, but I also struggled with intense mood swings the few days before my period started. I would get into uncharacteristic fights with my boyfriend and friends, and I wanted to do nothing more than hole up in my room and block the world out. Each month was a terribly isolating experience, and I began to wonder if I suffered from some sort of disorder that was outside the scope of PMS.

I initially decided to go vegan for reasons that had nothing to do with my period. I gave up all animal products for environmental and ethical reasons, but I had heard from a few different people that adopting a plant-based diet would ease many of my menstrual woes. I was skeptical, to say the least.

After eating a strict plant-based diet for three months, though, I was shocked to see significant changes in my cycle. I was much less moody, less anxious, and less prone to crying for no reason. My cramps were minimal and my flow was much lighter.

Jennifer Wider, MD, nationally renowned women's health expert, told POPSUGAR that this isn't uncommon. Although there aren't many studies out there confirming this to be true, a plant-based diet is known to have a positive effect on menstruation. "Many women who adopt a plant-based diet have touted the benefits when it comes to their monthly cycles," Dr. Wider told POPSUGAR. "[They] describe lighter periods, less PMS symptoms including, mood swings, cramps, and even bloating."

Fast forward to another six months of being vegan, and I got to the point where, if I wasn't keeping track of my cycle, I didn't even know my period was coming until it surprisingly showed up. There were no warning signs - no debilitating cramps, no strange cravings, and no rage. And I would only bleed for two days, which was a huge improvement from my previous heavy six-day cycles.

Julieanna Hever, plant-based dietitian and health expert, said although there isn't much primary scientific data on this topic, she has heard dozens of anecdotal stories like this before, and she herself has experienced a significant improvement in her menstrual cycle when she changed her diet. "Plant-based diets are anti-inflammatory," she told POPSUGAR.

Dr. Wider agreed. "One of the reasons a plant-based diet may ease symptoms associated with the menstrual cycle is due to its anti-inflammatory effects," she told POPSUGAR. "Many women take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like Aleve, Motrin, and Advil while they have their periods to lessen the cramps, etc. A plant-based diet has may work in the same way."

"I think it's always important to consult your doctor before making any major switch," Dr. Wider advises. You may run the risk for suffering from low iron levels or even anemia. You can get a simple blood test from your doctor to see if you need to take a supplement after you make the dietary changes.

I've been vegan for quite a while now, and my period is so much easier to handle. It shows up on time every month and causes me little to no pain. I'm no longer moody or irritable. Rather than stopping me from going about my day-to-day life, my period comes and goes without much of a fuss. There's not a doubt in my mind that this is due to my plant-based diet.

Baby Tiger Cubs Are Coming to Disney World, and We Can't Think of Anything Better

Magic. Mickey Mouse. Disney Princesses. And now, tiger cubs! Walt Disney World just announced that Sohni and Malosi, Sumatran tigers that live at Disney World's Animal Kingdom, are expecting a litter of cubs this Fall. So if you were sitting around asking yourself "can Disney World get any better?" - the answer is yes, yes, it can.

This is amazing news not just for park-goers who will get to bask in the cuteness of tiger cubs, but for the Sumatran tiger species as a whole, since they are very endangered. "There are reported to be only around 500 of these gorgeous Sumatran tigers left in the wild," says Disney.

The Disney Conservation Fund issued a statement along with the announcement, saying that Disney is "very involved" in the efforts to save endangered Sumatran tigers. "To date the Conservation Fund has provided nearly $2.5 million to protect tigers and their habitats," they said.

You can visit the parents and (soon!) the babies when you tour the Maharajah Jungle Trek in the Asia area of Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Blink Once, and You'll Mistake This Dutch Supermodel For Gigi Hadid

Iza Ijzerman is a 22-year-old Netherlands-based model who's driving the internet crazy, mostly because she bears an uncanny resemblance to Gigi and Bella Hadid. But it's not just her sultry pout, blond hair, and electrifying eyes that remind us of the duo. In our opinion, Iza has very similar style to both Gigi and Bella. She loves a sporty track pant just as much as an outfit complete with trendy statement sunglasses, and these are looks both Bella and Gigi can get behind.

Iza told Refinery29 she's been compared to Gigi plenty of times before. "The first time someone mentioned it was on Instagram. When I signed with Milk Studios, they posted a picture with the caption 'The new curvy Gigi Hadid,' so that's the moment I realized it might be true! I think I look more like Bella," she said.

Read on to compare photos and allow yourself to decide if Iza's more of a Gigi or a Bella. As far as we're concerned, though, Iza's an Iza - and she just happens to have a really great handle on fashion.

Jennifer Aniston's Airport Shoes Are a Summer Staple She Wears Everywhere

One thing we've noticed about Jennifer Aniston's style over the years is that she sticks to the basics she loves. That includes red carpet jumpsuits, boyfriend jeans, plain white tees, and espadrille shoes. When she stepped out at LAX for a flight, Jen was wearing two of the aforementioned wardrobe staples.

She tucked a silk printed blouse into her go-to distressed denim and stood tall in a pair of wedges that are perfectly neutral for the season. Jen could easily finish a Summer dress with these heels, but they work for casual ensembles too. Scroll to catch a glimpse at her full look, which includes the Mark Cross leather box bag of the moment, then shop Jen's summertime sandal of choice.

Ed Sheeran Isn't the Only Celebrity Making a Cameo on Game of Thrones Season 7

Game of Thrones has it all - dragons, zombies, epic kingdoms, and even celebrity cameos.

As Arya continues on her long-awaited return to Westeros in the season seven premiere, she runs into none other than Ed Sheeran as a Lannister soldier. This actually isn't the first time the show has incorporated real-life musicians into its expansive world. Other cameos beyond musicians have happened, too, like when the faces of show runners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were among those in the Hall of Faces.

As far as season seven goes, Sheeran isn't the only celebrity cameo to keep an eye out for. New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard also pops up on Team Lannister in the fourth episode, "The Spoils of War," as a general (pictured below). The superfan was tight-lipped on exact details leading up to the appearance, only hinting in a Sports Illustrated interview that his character will either kill someone or get killed in his scene. Now that the episode has aired, we know that Syndergaard's character shows off some pretty sick spear-tossing skills, so we'll assume he gets out of the climactic battle against Dany and the Dothraki unscathed.

Brent Hinds of the metal band Mastodon is also confirmed to make a cameo. Previously, he and his bandmates played Wildlings-turned-wights in "Hardhome," the episode with an insane White Walker vs. Night's Watch and Free Folk battle. Though he'll show up solo this time, he'll be undead once again.

Like with everything else Game of Thrones-related, rumors about cameos fly about as well. Among the unconfirmed appearances are indie-pop band Bastille, who hired Sophie Turner for their "Oblivion" music video and were spotted on the show's Belfast set. Supposedly they'll be Wildlings at the end of the season, but the band insists they were simply there for a tour. UFC fighter Conor McGregor also denied a cameo after word got out that he might show up in Westeros. No one should be surprised if they do end up on the show, though - remember when everyone involved kept saying Jon Snow was definitely dead?

Heather Dubrow's Mansion Will Knock Your Manolos Off

On Bravo's Real Housewives of Orange County, viewers are gifted with a front-row view to Heather Dubrow's sophisticated and often enviable lifestyle. We have known her for years as an actress, a mom of four, and the wife to plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow. More recently, though, we have gotten to know her as a California mansion designer extraordinaire. Avid viewers of the show live for the little glimpses of her decadent new digs now that her vision is fully complete.

Heather's shared plenty of sly shots of the over-the-top and exceptionally beautiful interiors on Instagram, though there's yet to be a big reveal. Until then, these social snaps prove that every detail from her aired-in olive tree to the jaw-dropping master bath is going to wow us beyond belief. So grab a glass of Champagne and enjoy this inside look at the Dubrow abode, and we promise, it does not disappoint.

Fall Is Coming - Here's a Soft and Simple Makeup Look to Take You Into the Season

I love a good glam sesh. I'm the girl who loves makeup! But sometimes you just want to get out the door without a ton of fuss. One of my favorite makeup looks takes about five minutes from start to finish, and it's because I use a select few items in multiple ways. I'll take one of my Nudestix and use it for my lips, cheeks, and eyes; if I fill in my brows, I'll use my pencil as a liner to enhance my lash line.

I love it because it's quick and simple, and it's a softer look, which is great for cozy Fall weather.

I'm So Obsessed With the Pink Glow of This $4 Lip Balm, I Keep 1 in Every Purse

For me, finding the perfect lip balm has always been a challenge. They're either too slick and greasy or thick and jelly-like. I'm not into either of those options. That's why I jumped at the chance to test my friend's tried-and-true favorite, Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm. "I know how particular you are," she told me. "I've got a good feeling about this one; give it a chance." So I picked up her $4 pick at the drugstore in the shade My Pink. This specific version of the balm includes pH pigments in the formula that adapt to your personal lip chemistry - the results are a perfect pink shade for your complexion. After one try, to say I was obsessed is an understatement.

What I love about Baby Lips is that it's ultrahydrating and smooth, but it doesn't feel too slippery or heavy. The lip balm provides a sheer baby-pink glow that brings color to my face without looking over-the-top. My lips feel moisturized for an entire workday if I put it on in the morning, so I don't have to constantly reapply. After about a week of using it every single day, my lips looked more supple and smooth even before application. It also has an SPF 20 sunscreen in it, so you'll stay protected from rays.

What's even more enjoyable is the subtly sweet taste - it reminds me of sugar cookies. Putting this stuff on is literally treating your lips. It's subdued enough to use every day, yet I also find myself wearing it for nights out when I just want a hint of rosiness. Try it for yourself, and I bet you'll be just as satisfied. It's so affordable that I have a few stacked up in my makeup drawer. Read on to see where you can snag this lip balm - you'll be doing yourself a favor.

The Moment Jennifer Lopez Turns to the Side, Her Dress Gets Infinitely Sexier

Jennifer Lopez isn't afraid to show some skin, even at a wedding. The star attended a friend's reception in New York City and wore a body-hugging, teal-colored maxi dress. The Hamel design featured cage cutouts on the side and a plunging cut in the front. Though the outfit was definitely sexy (we expect nothing less from Jennifer), the dress's choker-style neckline and maxi length made it more appropriate for the wedding. She completed the look with a pair of large gold hoops and bracelets.

It appears blue hues were popular at the party, as Hillary Clinton was spotted in a pastel blue caftan at the same wedding, though hers was definitely not as sultry of an ensemble as Jennifer's. Read on to see the singer's look from all angles - especially the side.

Jessica Alba's Already Brainstorming Baby Names, but She Has to Follow This 1 Rule

Jessica Alba recently announced she's expecting her third baby with husband Cash Warren, and now she's talking baby names. The Honest Company mogul appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon and opened up about the rules her baby's name has to follow.

"It needs to be single or double syllable, it has to be an H, and it also has to be a word," she said with a huge smile on her face. "It can't be too weird because you never know."

The couple already have two daughters, Honor and Haven, and their names fall right in line with Jessica's name regulations. See what else she had to say, and watch Jimmy Fallon try (and fail) to help her come up with names in the video above.

Why You Should Always Listen to Your Intuition on Your Solo Travels

Every woman should travel alone at least once in her lifetime. There is a sense of freedom and confidence that comes with mapping out a new adventure on your own. The ability to set your itinerary, turn off the noise of your day-to-day life, and turn your focus inward is a feeling everyone should experience. When I started traveling alone, I was fresh out of college. I was ready to experience cities I'd dreamed of, but I was met with resistance from those that worried about my safety. The argument I heard over and over was, "It's not safe for you to travel alone as a woman." I was open to listening to the advice but chose not to let the fear of others keep me from experiencing new cities.

While traveling, I have had encounters that made me wonder if my loved ones were right about the dangers of seeing the world solo. On my morning run about a year ago in Nashville, I noticed a man hanging out on the street. The street was oddly quiet that morning, so I spotted him right away. There was a voice in my head saying he's just hanging out. No need to be afraid. I was even tempted to smile, as women often do out of habit. But my gut was saying, "Bianca, take out your earbuds and pay attention." Just moments after I passed him, I heard pounding on the pavement. I glanced behind me, and he was almost close enough to my to grab my shoulder. Next thing I knew, I was running and screaming. Now, he could have meant me no harm, but if I hadn't listened to my intuition, the story I just told might have had a different ending. Whether you're visiting a city you know, running your favorite trail, or exploring internationally, your instincts won't steer you wrong.

I refuse to let fear make me retire my passport. There is far too much world to see.

While your intuition is your most trustworthy travel companion, seeking help from those around you can play a pivotal role in your safety. Last May, I took a two-day trip to Miami to see Beyoncé open the Formation Tour. After a night of cocktails, dancing, and singing to the top of my lungs with my friend Shakira, I was ready for some beauty rest. As I approached the elevator, a man was getting off. I stood to the left of the door to let him exit, but as I stepped into the elevator, he turned to get back on. This was another moment where my intuition kicked me in the gut, and I immediately got off the elevator and went to the bar.

I sat at the bar for 30 minutes hoping the creepy elevator guy had left for the evening. As I walked up the stairs to the hotel living room, he was sitting there, waiting for me. He spoke to me, but I ignored him. I walked to front desk and whispered to the welcome agent, "I think that man is trying to follow me to my room. Would you mind walking me upstairs?" "Yes, of course," he said. He made a point to take a look at the man I was speaking of and had a manager sit down with me the next morning to take my statement. If you're in a public place, let someone around you know what is happening. It can be awkward walking up to a stranger, but odds are they won't mind helping you if you feel you're in danger.

Of the nearly 10 years I've traveled alone, these are the only two encounters I have had that made me question my solo travels. But I refuse to let fear make me retire my passport. There is far too much world to see. What I do know is to always to trust my gut and pay attention to my surroundings. When you travel alone, you have to capture each moment on your own. That means spending a lot of time engaging with your phone or camera. Staying alert is just as important as listening to your inner voice. Take out the earbuds, edit and upload your photos over a cup of coffee, and keep the texting to a minimum. Not only will you keep yourself protected, but you'll also get to experience your travels in real time.

Cereal Bagels Are the Breakfast Hybrid of Our Dreams - Cookie Crisp and Fruity Pebbles Included

Deciding what to have for breakfast can be a serious struggle, but thanks to an awesome bagel shop in Staten Island, NY, the only decision we have to make is how many bagels are too many bagels. The Most Shocking Celebrity Breakups Ever

Last year it was Brad and Angelina, and in 2015, it was Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. This Husband's Hysterical Account of Shopping at Ikea With His Wife Is Every Couple

Ikea can make or break a relationship. How a couple navigates the never-ending aisles, furniture decisions, and assembling instructions at home can have a lasting impact. And yet, it can be almost impossible for couples not to get sucked in at least once.

When Nathanael Showalter found himself being dragged to the massive store, he didn't suck it up for the meatballs or spend the afternoon complaining about the spotty cellphone reception. Instead, he decided to document what shopping with his wife - when they didn't actually need anything - was really like.

His hysterical play-by-play of the outing is going viral because everyone who has ever been tortured by their partner and an insanely long trip to Ikea can relate to it. He starts off by making the purpose of their recent visit clear: "We are here. Our apartment is furnished. I am not sure why we are returning," he shared on Imgur.

He continues to share in perfect detail exactly what a day of browsing at Ikea is like according to a husband who doesn't particularly want to be there. "Perhaps we are here for institutional storage solutions. My wife says, 'Maybe when we have eight kids.' We have zero kids. We move on," he captioned a photo of a storage unit. "She has commented on how sturdy these spoons are. Our other measuring spoons do not strike me as structurally unsound."

Although they ended their day by walking out on a much stronger note than many couples who fall victim to the showroom bickering and box-hauling stress, every person who has ever stepped into Ikea will crack up over the rest of this guy's spot-on commentary.

This Is How All Your Favorite Chefs Cook Steak

Steak is one of those things that intimidates a lot of people but really shouldn't. If you've ever struggled with cooking the perfect steak, this list of tips should help. We've turned to some of our favorite Food Network personalities and more celebrity chefs for their steakhouse-worthy cooking methods.

Alton Brown: Pan-Seared and Oven-Baked

For pan-seared rib eyes, Alton Brown recommends two key things: bring the steak to room temperature (it cooks quicker this way), and heat a cast-iron skillet in the oven while the oven heats to 500 degrees. He doesn't use the oven until the steaks have been seared first, but heating up the skillet before putting it on the stove helps get the process started and ensure a completely heated-through pan.

Giada De Laurentiis: Add Italian Flavors

Giada's Tuscan rib-eye steak recipe proves everything is better with Italian flair. If you're into rosemary, thyme, garlic, and lemon (who isn't?), this is the best way to cook your steak.

Ree Drummond: Butter-Rubbed Grill Pan

The Pioneer Woman's first blog post to go viral was titled "How to Cook a Steak," and it's easy to see why. Her "never-fail arsenal" is just three ingredients: "Lawry's Seasoned Salt, McCormick Lemon Pepper, and a nice stick of regular (salted) butter." Ree advises coating a hot grill pan in butter before searing the steaks. In the post, she promises, "If you cook it for your friends, they'll never invite you over to their house for dinner again. You will have permanently raised the bar."

Gordon Ramsay: Baste With Butter

It's no surprise that Gordon Ramsay's tip for steak is the same as his tip for burgers: baste with butter. Besides the fact that fat makes everything taste better, Gordon explains that coating steak with melted butter "gives it a nice nutty brown finish."

Ina Garten: Steakhouse-Style Filet Mignon

Leave it to The Barefoot Contessa to school us in making a restaurant-worthy dish at home. If you're feeling fancy and opt for filet mignon, you'll want to use a generous coating of fleur de sel and coarsely cracked black peppercorns to achieve a perfect crust. If you follow her recipe to a T, you'll be the one saying, "How easy is that?"

Chrissy Teigen: Soak in a Garlicky Marinade

Chrissy Teigen admits in her cookbook, Cravings, that she's normally a traditionalist when it comes to steak (page 206), but her husband John Legend's "best marinade in existence" changed her mind. A lot goes into it - soy sauce and garlic, for starters - and after marinating for eight hours, you're on your way to juicy, flavor-packed steak. "I would probably still go simple if I was staring at the most beautiful piece of beef I've ever seen, but use this tangy marinade on a nice, solid rib eye, and I promise you, it will be hard for you to have it any other way," she wrote.

Tom Colicchio: Grill on Each Side

Top Chef's Tom Colicchio recommends turning the steak a total of six times while it's on the grill (grill it for three to four minutes on each side, including the edges). He also recognizes that quality is more important than quantity when it comes to steak. In an interview with POPSUGAR, he said, "start with buying the perfect steak - you can't buy a lousy piece of meat and make it great."

Bobby Flay: Perfectly Grilled

Bobby Flay, master of the grill, doesn't bother with anything complicated for his perfectly grilled steak recipe. All you need is steak, oil, and salt and pepper - and Bobby always recommends oiling the meat itself, not the grill or pan.

12 People Who Are Just as Devastated About Chris Pratt and Anna Faris's Split as You

The world stood still on Sunday night when Chris Pratt and Anna Faris announced that they are legally separating after eight years of marriage. "We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed," the parents of 4-year-old son Jack wrote in a statement. "We still have love for each other and will always cherish our time together." Needless to say, fans were completely wrecked over the news and decided to mourn the picture-perfect pair on social media. See some of the most relatable reactions to what is, without a doubt, one of the biggest breakups of 2017.

Gisele Bündchen's Skincare Routine Is So Simple, You Can Easily Follow It

Like her famous hair, Gisele Bündchen's skin is enviable. While you might look at her and think she owes it all to great genetics and expensive products, the Brazilian supermodel has been open about struggling with her skin just like the rest of us. "My complexion is delicate, so I have to use things that won't irritate it," she told Elle in a 2007 interview. "I switch moisturizers often, but I'm faithful to the way I take off my makeup: Lancome's pink foaming cleanser ($26)."

Gisele knows it's all about prevention, so the 37-year-old uses Dr. Alkaitis Organic Eye Créme ($65) to hydrate and stop signs of aging in her under-eye area. "I love organic products. This cream is so natural, you can eat it!" she told InStyle in its January 2009 issue.

But she's no stranger to acne, saying that she turns to mother nature to deal with breakouts. "When I was a teenager, I had pimples - oh, God, every time someone looked at my face I thought they were looking at my pimples," she told Vogue in 2010. "I put mud on my face to dry them out, and it worked."

I Took CBD Oil For 7 Days For Anxiety - Here's What Happened

I have to admit, I'm nervous to share this story . . . in large part because of the stigma around marijuana, regardless of the reasons you're using it or which component of it you're using (THC vs. CBD, specifically). But that in and of itself made me realize how much more I do need to share this story. Because if we break through the stigma, there's a product here that has the capacity to change lives and help millions of people heal naturally. And no, it won't make you into a stoner.

A few weeks ago, the people at Charlotte's Web Hemp reached out to see if I wanted to try CBD for myself. To be honest, my initial reaction was "hell no." I don't smoke, I never want to be "high," I'm not into weed, and I'm not in any way, shape, or form into illegal drugs in general. However, I am a huge fan of naturopathic remedies like Chinese herbs and probiotics, acupuncture, and essential oils. I had been reading about how CBD is natural and legal, doesn't make you feel "high," and could mitigate effects of anxiety (in addition to a laundry list of other things).

Before we get into it, a quick breakdown: CBD oil is cannabidiol, an active component of cannabis. You're probably familiar with another cannabinoid: tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC . . . you know, the stuff that gets you high. There are over 85 cannabinoid compounds in a cannabis plant, but THC is the only one - seriously, just one - that is psychoactive (aka brain altering).

Charlotte's Web assured me that CBD does not in fact get you high and would essentially be liquid Xanax from Mother Nature. It also mentioned I wouldn't need a medical marijuana card (which I don't have), as it's a totally legal product. I was in.

CBD would essentially be liquid Xanax from Mother Nature.

A few days later, I received the CW "Everyday Plus" Hemp Oil in olive oil and CW "Everyday Advanced" Hemp Oil in mint chocolate flavor ($75 and $150, respectively). And as most respected professionals do, I tried it in the office at my place of employment, midday, with one of my coworkers. Legalities aside, I was still nervous that I'd get the psychoactive effects and lose control of my mental faculties, but coworkers assured me that "everything is fine" and basically told me to chill out and eat the oil. The experiment had begun.

Day 1

Dose: Two droppers full of Everyday Advanced, mint chocolate flavor

The "two droppers" was per the recommendation I received from CW. This apparently equates to two servings, though the supplement recommends taking two droppers full twice daily. This was roughly 92 mg of Hemp CO2 extract. I remember thinking, "This tastes like a mint chocolate ash tray."

Effects: Extremely sleepy during the day. That said, got "100 percent" sleep quality according to my Sleep Cycle app that I use nightly. No adverse side effects.

Day 2

Dose: One dropper full of Everyday Advanced

I decided to scale back so I wouldn't be so tired. I also had SoulCycle scheduled that night, and I really wanted to look alive in the front row, you know?

Effects: Relaxed, but not much to report on from this day either. I felt great during SoulCycle, and I didn't get too sore, which is somewhat unusual . . . maybe because of the CBD? TBD.

Day 3

Dose: One dropper full of Everyday Plus, olive oil flavor

By the third day, I decided to try the scaled-back, olive variety of these oils, which has 25 mg of Hemp CO2 extract per serving. I started small with one dropper just to be safe.

Effects: I honestly didn't feel much of anything! It wasn't a particularly anxiety-inducing day, so there wasn't much to stimulate my experiment.

Day 4

Dose: Two and a quarter droppers full of Everyday Advanced

This . . . this was the day of days. The day when I realized CBD can change lives. Also the day when I realized I had taken more oil than usual, which left me feeling not at all like myself as the hours went on. Background: driving is an anxiety trigger for me, and I was stuck in traffic for over three hours (for a trip that is usually just one hour) with a panic attack slowly building and tears starting to flow, so I reached for the oil - and decided to try a tiny little bit extra.

Effects: Anxiety relief within 30 minutes; it quite honestly felt miraculous. I was relaxed and laughing, and I felt like myself again. However, a few hours later, things took a turn. At risk of embarrassing myself, I'll just say that I became extremely spacey, couldn't focus on anything, and was starving - I had finished a substantial Italian dinner at 7 p.m. but decided at 8:30 p.m. that I needed a S'mores Frappuccino (truly deviating from my normal eating habits) . . . and then I needed an entire pint of Ben & Jerry's Half Baked. It was a scene. I don't know how it happened, but fair warning: this was too much for me. Though I was mildly traumatized, my best friend thought it was hilarious.

Day 5

Dose: One *half* dropper full of Everyday Advanced

Fully scarred from the day before, I scaled back significantly as I knew my duty was to continue the experiment for all seven days.

Effects: I felt relaxed! No anxiety to report on, and no adverse side effects.

Day 6

Dose: One dropper full of Everyday Advanced

I recovered from the fear of day four and scaled back up to a full dropper and had a very relaxing day. I drove back to SF and felt completely comfortable in traffic and even had a couple cups of coffee - which normally could give me a panic attack - and felt totally fine.

Effects: Mitigated anxiety from caffeine consumption, great sleep.

Day 7

Dose: Two droppers full of Everyday Advanced

Curious to see if day four's high was possibly a fluke, I decided to be brave (ha!) and scale back up - but was mentally prepared this time for anything that could happen. Aaaand I didn't get high! A win all around.

Effects: I had a deep sleep that night - so deep, in fact, that it was a little harder to wake up in the morning.

Overall Thoughts

I'm still figuring out that sweet-spot dose for myself, but my initial impression is extremely positive. I'm astounded at how well this prevented a panic attack and mitigated my anxiety in a naturopathic way. The idea that I could avoid potentially addictive psychotropic drugs while still managing stress and anxiety - in a way that won't make me high or impact my ability to think and work clearly - is unbelievable. It really is Mother Nature's liquid Xanax.

CBD oil has the ability to relieve pain and inflammation, reduce anxiety, improve sleep, fight cancer (seriously), relieve nausea, and reduce PMS symptoms, and it may even help with epilepsy.

I am a goody-two-shoes, nonsmoking fitness editor, and I fully recommend trying CBD as part of your wellness routine.

Because it's so safe and the side effects have been minimal, my personal recommendation is to try it, but just to be careful with your dose. Also keep in mind - as I did not know this when I first tried it - CBD oil may cause you to fail a drug test. Fortunately for me, POPSUGAR is pretty chill about this, but this is something that could present a serious issue if you're looking for a job or in a line of work that tests regularly.

I was super uncomfortable with the perception, labeling, and stigma around the use of cannabis products, but the profound pros that CBD oil has to offer me medically significantly outweigh any kind of cons I might endure from social stigma. I do think it's important to break said stigma around cannabis use of all kinds, whether it's CBD or THC, recreational or medical use. So here I am, a goody-two-shoes, nonsmoking fitness editor, here to share my side and my experience - and I fully recommend trying CBD as part of your wellness routine.

F45 Training: Never Heard of It? You Will - and Soon

Unless you've been working out in Australia over the past four or five years (g'day, mates), you probably haven't heard of one of the fastest-growing fitness franchises Down Under, F45 Training. (Don't worry, I had never heard of it either.) Luckily for all of us, F45 Training has a studio within 20 minutes of my suburban Dallas home (and another soon to come literally down the street from my development). I was able to attend one of its strength circuits, called Panthers, and emerged after an efficient, challenging workout with a greater understanding of this Australian sensation.

Some people buy too many shoes, others love lots of jewelry - my weakness is coats. I have so many of them that I have to store the extras in two different closets. That's why I freaked out when I opened the ASOS website, only to see that the brand has released tons of new coats in time for Fall. The variety of color options on offer is beyond pleasing - everything from rich camel to electric orange is up for grabs. Check out our top picks.

Game of Thrones: Did You Catch Mets Pitcher Noah Syndergaard's "Spoils of War" Cameo?

If you blinked at all during the second half of Game of Thrones's "The Spoils of War," you probably missed Noah Syndergaard's brief cameo. The New York Mets pitcher, pictured above, pops up as a soldier in the Lannister forces who face down Daenerys, her Dothraki army, and one hell of a big dragon during the episode's intense, climactic battle. Sadly he doesn't take down the enemy by whipping any baseballs in the middle of the battlefield, but we imagine his athleticism came in handy during filming when his character exhibits some pretty sick spear-tossing skills.

Syndergaard, who partially tore his lat muscle in April, actually teased his Game of Thrones cameo a few months ago during an interview with Sports Illustrated. "It's a dream come true," he revealed. "I think it's the greatest TV show of all time, so just to be able to say I was in Game of Thrones is an unbelievable feeling." The athlete is one of many famous faces who have made surprise appearances in Westeros over the past seven seasons, including a long list of musicians. Let's hope his cameo is a little less divisive than Ed Sheeran's was in the season-seven premiere . . .

Hillary Clinton's Wedding Guest Dress Is So Summery, You Could Throw It Over a Swimsuit

Following her run for presidency, Hillary Clinton's style has become decidedly more relaxed. But we wouldn't have called it boho - not until she showed up to Sophie Lasry and Alexander Swieca's wedding party at Cipriani Wall Street in New York wearing a caftan. Of course, this wasn't just any caftan. Hillary's look came embellished with beads at the neckline and stitched with intricate embroidery, all to match her glittering clutch and diamond jewels.

But the chiffon number had a quirky touch: a subtle polka-dot print that spoke to the happy season and warm weather. If we were going on a getaway, we might even pack the look to throw over a swimsuit and style with sandals. Read on to see how Hillary made the piece wedding appropriate, then shop a handful of similar silhouettes to round out your closet this Summer.

3 Surprising Realities of Visiting Magnolia Market in Real Life

If you've ever dreamed about heading to Waco, TX, to check out Magnolia Market for yourself - and what Fixer Upper fan hasn't?! - then you're going to be interested in what blogger Rachel Teodoro has to say. She's a Chip and Joanna Gaines expert, having interviewed Fixer Upper cast members and visited the Silos several times. She recently shared 11 little-known facts about visiting Waco and was kind enough to let us share some of the most surprising revelations about Magnolia Market below. Whether you're planning a visit yourself or just curious about what it would be like to pose beneath the #milestomagnolia sign and play bean-bag toss on the Silos lawn, we encourage you to check them out below. Then, head to Rachel's blog for the full story.

Joanna's Mom Welcomes Guests

You're probably not going to run into Chip and Joanna while visiting Magnolia Market, but if you visit on a Friday or Saturday, you're likely to see Joanna's mom, who greets guests those days. She's as gracious and lovely as her daughter - and willing to pose for a picture with you, Rachel says.

They Have Their Own Prayer Team

It's no secret that faith is a huge part of Chip and Joanna's life, but what few fans know, Rachel says, is that Magnolia Market has its own prayer team. They take the prayer requests they receive seriously, praying over all of them. The prayer leader seems to be Joanna's mom, who is often spotted with her hand outstretched in prayer over the land the Gaines build and work on.

There Are Some Shopping Deals to Be Had

The experience of visiting the store in Waco is undeniably more exciting than browsing the website, but the goods and prices are identical. While you'll return home with the memories of visiting Magnolia Market in person, Rachel says you won't return with any special goods that you couldn't also buy online.

Update March 15, 2017: Magnolia Market reached out to POPSUGAR to clarify that while about 40 percent of the goods in their Magnolia Market store are available in their online shop, the other 60 percent can only be purchased at the physical location. "Joanna wants to make sure that our guests that are traveling to Waco are able to purchase unique items that are not found online," a rep told us.
