17 Quotes That Prove Kesha Is, and Always Will Be, a Warrior
Kesha might have made her name with upbeat party jams like "Tik Tok" and "We R Who We R," but she has a whole lot more to offer than lyrics about brushing her teeth with the remnants of last night's Jack Daniels. Hugh Jackman Frolicking on the Beach With His Trainer Is Honestly What Life Is About
Hugh Jackman always knows how to have a good time. The actor, who is usually more like the friendliest big kid you'll ever meet rather than a 48-year-old, never fails to make us laugh when he's on a red carpet or doing an interview, but there's just something about the beach that brings out a whole new side to him. The father of two kicked off his weekend by working out with his personal trainer on Bondi Beach in his native Australia (Dad bod? More like daddy bod). While Hugh hit the waves in typical swimming trunks, his trainer rocked a tiny Speedo. If that wasn't enough to get your attention, the two appeared to have a hilarious race in the sand to cap off their outing. Oh, Hugh. Never change.

We Bet You Don't Know John Legend's Real Name
Have you ever wondered how some celebrities get their names? Some stars are given names from their parents that scream "super star," like January Jones (sounds like a superhero, right?) and Pierce Brosnan (so Hollywood). Others change their names along the way for more pizazz like, Lana Del Ray (born Elizabeth Grant) or Emma Stone (born Emily Jean Stone). The biggest surprise however is when you learn that one of your favorite celebrity's real name is NOT the name you've known them as . . . like John Legend.
While John Legend sounded like a made-up name the first time we heard it - come on, whose last name is actually as cool and as fitting as Legend? - we eventually came to believe that the "Love Me Now" singer was in fact given that name from the start, but we were wrong!
John's birth name is actually John Roger Stephens, and if we're being technical here, it's still his real name. Legend is actually a nickname, and the story as to how the 38-year-old crooner was dubbed "Legend" goes back a couple of years . . . back to his early career, after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania.
Back in 1999, John (who was Stephens at the time) was actually working as a management consultant. At the same time, he was honing his craft as a musician at night, playing nightclub gigs and knocking on doors, searching for a record deal under his real name - until his friends started to call him "Legend" based on his old-school sound, The New York Times reported back in 2006.
"John Legend is a nickname that some friends started calling me, and it kind of grew into my stage name," Legend told MTV News in 2008 about his now-famous moniker. "'Legend' is something that I never would have chosen for myself originally. It grew to the point where more people in my circle would know me by that name than by my real name. I had to make a decision."
John decided that although it was a BIG name to take on, he liked it, and he then adopted it as his official stage name. "I was just like, 'You know what? Let's just go for it. People are going to pay attention, and I'm going to either live up to my name or I'm not,'" he explained to the publication. "My bet was on me trying to live up to the name."
Clearly the bet paid off, because now John Legend is just that, a legend, and he has definitely lived up to his new last name. The "All of Me" singer is a five-time Grammy-winning artist, a Golden Globe winner, and an Academy Award winner, not to mention his 2017 Tony Award win for coproducing the play, Jitney. But all of this fame doesn't mean the star still doesn't own his Stephens roots.
In fact, his name is still legally John Stephens, as proven by the fact that when he won his Oscar in 2014 for Best Original Song in Selma, his real name was announced (along with Common, whose real name is Lonnie Lynn) as he took the stage.
Plus, when John and his beautiful wife, Chrissy Teigen, had their first child back in 2016, her full name included his real surname. "Our new love is here! Luna Simone Stephens, born on Thursday, the 14th. We couldn't be happier!" Legend tweeted at the time of Luna's birth, and now Stephens will continue to live on!

How to Smartly Grocery Shop at Costco For 1
Costco's low prices for bulk groceries seem like an obvious choice for families, but what about parties of one? If you live alone or are shopping for just yourself, here are some smart choices you can make in the food section to take advantage of the deals without accidentally wasting your pretty pennies.
Never Go to Costco Hungry
You'll be swayed to purchase all the samples, but once you're home, you'll wonder why in the world did you think it was a good call to buy a triple pack of spicy tofu noodes?! Therefore, always make a list prior to going to Costco and eat before you enter the aisles. If you forget, do thyself a favor and eat a slice of pizza from the food court.
Buy Your Staples ONLY
You know what you eat day in and day out and what you constantly buy at the grocery and seem to always run out of. If you can't say with confidence that you can finish a large container of something and quickly, too, don't purchase it. Also, use Costco's coupons for your favorite items rather than for something random that sounds enticing.
Become BFFs With Canned and Frozen Foods
What do canned soups, canned tuna, beer, and frozen burritos have in common? These groceries have an extended shelf life and are packaged up for one. Perfect! Consider this when purchasing groceries. Frozen fruit and veggies are also usually safe for the solo grocery buyer, but be sure you are choosing items that you'll really and truly want to eat on the regular.
Be Careful When It Comes to Perishables
Milk, eggs, cheese, and fresh meat and produce can spell trouble for the solo shopper since they come in such large packages. Yogurt and butter may be the few exceptions, as they usually come in smaller, more manageable packages.
Game of Thrones: Everything You Should Know About Valyrian Steel Weapons and Who Owns Them
During Sunday night's insane episode of Game of Thrones, Arya Stark acquires a very important new weapon from her brother Bran. The dagger, which has a distinctly curved hilt made from dragonbone, is significant for a number of reasons: it's the same weapon an assassin used when trying to kill Bran back in season one (which ended up basically starting the War of the Five Kings), it was recently spotted by Samwell Tarly in an ancient Citadel textbook, and it's also made from extremely rare Valyrian steel.
Quick recap: what is Valyrian steel? Valyrian steel is a very special material from which the best weapons in Westeros are forged (the material is rumored to have been created from dragon fire and magic). The weapons made from this material are sharper, lighter, and stronger in comparison to even the best castle-forged steel, and they can also withstand extreme heat (obviously). Not to mention, Valyrian steel is one of the few things besides dragonglass that can kill White Walkers. Valyrian blades are treated as treasured heirlooms, and each weapon has its own name and story.
Sadly, these weapons are near impossible to forge in present-day Westeros; however, in post-Red Wedding season three, we see Tywin Lannister melt down Ice (the greatsword of House Stark) into two smaller swords. So, where in the world of Westeros are these Valyrian steel weapons now? Luckily they're (mostly) in good hands.
The 12 Most Underrated Horror Movies of All Time
As a kid, I always gravitated toward horror comic books and movies - the darker, the better. I'm sure my parents never thought it would be something I would one day base a career on, curating for film festivals and now Shudder! I love finding films and sharing them with others; it's kind of like a spooky "show and tell." There are lots of different flavors and nuances of horror, but here is a wide range of underrated or overlooked films, from comedic ones like Murder Party and Mr. Vampire, to downright terrifying ones like Evil Dead Trap, to sinister and cerebral ones like Pulse (the original, not the lame remake).
See the Orange Is the New Black Cast Out of Their Jumpsuits
Despite Sophia Burset's best efforts, the ladies of the Litchfield Correctional Facility lack style. In real life, however, the cast of Orange Is the New Black is anything but dowdy. We gathered pictures of Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Taryn Manning, Ruby Rose, and the rest of the cast in and out of their jumpsuits. You might be shocked at the difference with some of the women - especially Blanca! Take a look at all the pictures ahead, and brush up on all the season six details!
American Horror Story: All the Definite Connections Between the Seasons
It's always thrilling to see what's on the horizon on American Horror Story. Now that we're past season six, we've gotten a solid idea of how Roanoke ties into the rest of the series. Up until the finale, we hadn't seen characters from previous seasons, and even before Lana Winters came back, Roanoke had drawn plenty more threads between the existing seasons. Of course, we have plenty of unconfirmed theories (including some fan theories that are truly wild), but at this juncture, we're focusing only on those threads that are concrete. Let's look back at all the times two (or more) AHS installments definitely intersected.

You Will Never Look at Oreos the Same Way Again After Reading These Facts
You may love Oreos, whether dunked in milk, crumbled over ice cream, or crumbled into pie crust. Despite the vast ways you've learned to enjoy the cream-filled sandwich cookie, have you ever stopped to think about its rich history? These fun facts will allow you to see the cookies in a whole new light.
- The origin of the name "Oreo" is unknown. Although, one Oreo exec says the name mimics the two O-shaped cookies that make the sandwich. Others claim the "re" comes from the "cream."
- Oreos are a total ripoff of Hydrox, the original cream-filled chocolate cookie, which came out in 1908. Oreos weren't released until 1912.
- Double-Stuf are actually 1.86 times more stuffed than regular Oreos. Do you feel slightly cheated?
- To date, Oreo has over 42 million Facebooks followers. In comparison, The New York Times has 13 million.
- Oreo's first crazy flavor was Birthday Cake, released in 2012 for its centennial celebration. Since then, the company releases new flavors quarterly, but our favorites will always be cotton candy and marshmallow crispy.
Princess Diana's Regular Driver Feels Responsible For Her Fatal Car Crash
Nearly 20 years after Princess Diana's death, the details surrounding her fatal car crash are just as shocking. As the world tried to come to terms with what happened, including her sons Prince William and Prince Harry, her regular driver, Colin Tebbutt, recently revealed just how guilty he felt for not being there the night she died. "Yes, you always do [feel responsible]," Colin told Good Morning Britain during his first live television interview this week. "That's not good to have in the mind." Diana, who was only 36 when she died, was traveling with boyfriend Dodi Fayed when the driver of their car, Henri Paul, tried to avoid the paparazzi, lost control of the vehicle, and crashed in a tunnel in Paris. Nearly 11 years after her death, it was revealed that Henri had a blood-alcohol level three times the French legal limit at the time of the crash.
After receiving news of the crash, Colin told Good Morning Britain that he arrived at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital shortly after Diana died. "It's very difficult and emotional to see a person lying in a bed and not in a mortuary," he said. "I went and got some fans to cool the room down. As I turned around, the eyelashes and hair of the princess were moving, caused by the fan, and that just struck me. I had to turn away, think about it, and then grip myself back and get on with what I was doing."

15 Great Romantic Comedies to Stream on Netflix
It's no secret that the last few years have been a bleak time for romantic comedies, though 2017 is bringing some new hopefuls to the genre. To help matters, I've picked out a handful of great romantic comedies that you can stream on Netflix - movies that are either old favorites, gems you may have never seen, or semirecent movies you missed for whatever reason. Get ready to fall in love again!
Game of Thrones: Arya Stark Looks So Much Like Ned Now It's Insane
During the most recent episode of Game of Thrones, "The Spoils of War," a long-awaited reunion between separated sisters Arya and Sansa Stark finally happens. They hug and catch up in Winterfell's crypt, standing in front of the tomb of their late father, Ned Stark. Although Arya remarks that the stone statue looks nothing like him, it's hard not to notice in that scene in particular who does look like Ned: Arya herself.
Over the course of seven seasons, the deadly assassin has undergone a major transformation. She starts off Game of Thrones as a scrappy young girl who just wants to learn how to sword fight rather than becoming a lady of a castle and marrying some lord. Arya clearly has a special bond with her dad from the get-go, and seeing him brutally and tragically beheaded in King's Landing is what kicks off her mission to get revenge on everyone who harmed her family.
With each new season of the series, Arya has subtly transformed into her father as she matures and becomes savvier about the world around her. From their half-up, pulled-back hairstyles to their layered cloaks, the resemblance between the characters is uncanny (they even wear a similar leather X detail over their chests).
This isn't the first time one of the Stark children has physically taken after Ned, either. In season six, Jon Snow ditches his typical Castle Black attire for a brown leather coat of plates. The vest is the same one that Ned wears in previous episodes and is traditional attire for House Stark (Robb also dons similar armor in earlier seasons). Not only that, but Jon's habit of tying his hair into man bun earns him some Ned comparisons every now and then, as does his personality overall since both are brooding, fantastic leaders.
Despite the fact Ned has been dead and gone since season one, it's touching to see his legacy still living on in his children in different ways. With the Starks back in control of the North, it will be exciting to see how Jon, Sansa, Arya, and Bran choose to rule.

Michelle Obama Addresses the Melania Trump Gift Meme
One of the most talked about moments on Inauguration Day was a seemingly awkward moment between Michelle Obama and Melania Trump. But, according to Obama, the moment was more about trying to hold back her emotions than anything else.
In case you forgot, on Inauguration Day, when the new first lady and president of the United States arrived at the White House, Trump greeted Obama and handed her a gift. The moment was captured by ABC News and showed Obama's puzzled face as she wondered where to put the gift. The internet was quick to say Obama's face was a reaction to the incoming Trump presidency. But at the American Institute of Architects conference on April 27, Obama revealed what her actual emotions were. The former first lady said she was beginning to realize these were her last moments in the White House - a not-so-easy moment, especially for her daughters, who grew up there.
"So that moment of transition, right before the doors opened and we welcomed in the new family, our kids were leaving out the back door in tears, saying goodbye to people," she said at the event. Obama said she didn't want to have tears in her eyes to avoid any backlash. "I didn't want to have tears in my eyes because people would swear I was crying because of the new president," she said, according to Today.
At the conference, Obama told the audience that Sasha and Malia's last night at the White House involved a slumber party with friends. "They had a sleepover, because of course on Inauguration Day, because my girls are so normal, they're like, 'Well, eight girls are gonna be sleeping here because it's our last time, and we want pizza and we want nuggets.' And it's like, really?"
This was Obama's first public speaking appearance since Inauguration Day, and we're glad to see her back in the spotlight.

The 1 Exercise That Finally Helped Ease My Anxiety
I have always been a worrier. From the small things like the weather to the more serious stuff - you know, like global warming - I sweat it all. And I've been in this frantic state of mind ever since I can remember. My mom tells me this is just who I am; it's part of my personality. But who wants to be a ball of nerves all the time? Not me.
Yet after months (OK, more like years) of experimenting with different anxiety-easing methods - therapy, coloring, list-writing . . . you name it, I've tried it - I've finally found something to quiet my worrisome mind. That something is yoga. Now don't get me wrong, I am by no means a yogi (more like a wannabe yogi), but with every class, I can feel my mind turning down the volume on my anxiety. More importantly, I can feel myself becoming stronger, both mentally and physically. And oh, how liberating it feels!
If you, too, are at wit's end with thoughts constantly rattling around, I challenge you to roll out a mat and give yoga a go. You most likely won't feel a difference right away, but give it time and the change will come. Trust me, as someone with 26 years of worrying experience, this calming practice can work wonders if you give it the chance. Below are three ways yoga has helped tidy up my messy mind.
1. I've captured control of my inner thoughts.
My first yoga class was a total wreck. My noisy, nagging brain wouldn't simmer down. I kept thinking about all I needed to get done that day. That week. That month. Even thoughts of the coming years were starting to creep in. Yet I quickly realized that if I was going to one day reap the rewards of serenity, I would have to embrace mindfulness. But how?
I challenged myself to only focus on the mat. Not the room. Not the people perfecting the poses in front of me. Just me and my island of foam. And for 60 minutes, that's what I slowly learned to do. But because focusing on the present moment felt so soothing, I sought out ways to be mindful outside of yoga. I challenged myself to switch up little things throughout my day. Whether it was walking down a new street or forcing myself to actually take a lunch break and step outside for fresh air, by becoming more aware of my surroundings, I captured more control of my mind instead of allowing my mind to completely control me.
2. I can harness the power of breathing.
I once heard a yoga teacher direct a class to "inhale the good sh*t and exhale the bullsh*t." I laughed at the time (which helped me get through that moment's Chair Pose), but that saying has stuck with me like glue. In fact, it's become somewhat of my mantra. Think about it: when you breathe in positivity, that energy has power over your thoughts. And the same goes with negativity. So get those negative vibes out!
At the studio where I regularly attend classes, we take a lot of collective breaths together during our practice. The instructor will tell us to exhale everything out of our lungs. Next, take a deeeeep inhale and hold it. Breathe in one more sip of air and then let it all go with a big "H-A." Talk about a meditative feeling. Try it, you'll see!
Before yoga, I wasn't aware of the healing power breathing can have on the mind. But now that I see this glorious light, I can't begin to tell you how many times I use these techniques in my everyday. When I have control over my breath, I find control over my thoughts and the cycle continues.
3. I've gained a new sense of patience.
Nothing happens quickly in yoga. Even after months of practice, I am still far from a euphoric state of mind. My thoughts still often ripple through any given Downward Dog. I am still far from those acro-yoga tricks. Come to think of it, I still haven't mastered the forearm headstand. I have a long way to go, but that's the point. Yoga isn't just a beautiful practice, it's a way of life.
If you look at the practice as a whole, it can be overwhelming, but if you take it one step at a time - one day at a time - you will improve your skills. With diligence, practice, and patience, your mind will become more balanced. Your thoughts will slow down. Ultimately, you will carve the path to becoming your own warrior rather than worrier.

Anna Faris Opens Up About Heartbreak: "Everyone Has Screwed Up a Good Relationship"
Anna Faris and Chris Pratt broke hearts earlier this week when they announced that they would be legally separating after eight years of marriage. The news had a lot of us (including other celebrities) pretty shook, and in an interview for Live Happy magazine's October issue, the 40-year-old actress opened up about heartbreak while promoting her new memoir, Unqualified, for which Chris wrote the foreword.
While the interview was conducted before Anna and Chris announced their separation, the quotes may hint at what was to come: she called her popular podcast, Anna Faris Is Unqualified, "a chance for listeners to get to relate to people they see in movies, hear on the radio, etc., in a real way . . . to see everyone has heartache. It's not exclusive to any one group or demographic." And of the book, which comes out in October, Anna reveals that she aims to share her experience "because it's not that different from so many other people. . . . Everyone has had their heart broken or screwed up a good relationship. And my hope is that people will walk away realizing that so many journeys are the same. My heartbreak is the same as someone else's and if I have to be vulnerable for people to get that, that's OK."
Would Ben Higgins Consider Being the Bachelor Again? It's Possible
Since Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell split, fans have wondered whether he might consider being The Bachelor again - and it sounds like he isn't ruling it out. Now that The Bachelorette has wrapped, there's speculation about who might lead the next season of The Bachelor. If Higgins were to take on the role, it wouldn't be the first time the franchise had a repeat Bachelor (cough, Brad Womack, cough), but it sounds pretty unlikely. "I don't want to say I wouldn't, but I can't say I would," Higgins told Us Weekly, explaining that he wants to dedicate time to the projects he's passionate about right now. "I'd be sacrificing things that I don't want to neglect," he said.
Meanwhile, Higgins also addressed the question with Ashley Iaconetti on their podcast, The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast. "It doesn't feel like a time in my life that I would be the best man possible for the women that would come on this season," he said, adding that it would be "disrespectful" to be on the show so fresh out of a relationship. "At this point in my life, I don't think it's the wise thing to do," he said. "So I will not be your Bachelor for this next season." Luckily for fans, there are plenty of possible candidates from Rachel's season who could be on the next "most dramatic season" of The Bachelor ever.

Disney Is Pulling Its Movies From Netflix, So Watch These 21 Titles Before It's Too Late
It feels like it took forever for Disney to roll out its movies on Netflix. Back in May 2016, the streaming service announced that it would be the exclusive home for Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and Lucasfilm movies online. While the full catalog was by no means available, there were a handful of movies you could watch when new titles were added every month. Unfortunately, it looks like the Mouse House is breaking up with Netflix, so you won't be able to enjoy movies like Moana, Lilo & Stitch, and Zootopia for much longer.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney is starting its own streaming service. That means it's pulling all of the titles it has on Netflix and putting them on its own service starting in 2019. Disney CEO Bob Iger was a little cagey about which movies in particular will be available on the new service, but he noted that if the movie is Pixar- or Disney-branded, it will likely be exclusively streamed on the new service. As for Marvel and Star Wars films, nothing concrete has been decided just yet.
Since our time with Netflix's cache of Disney classics has an expiration date, there's no better time to hunker down for a Disney marathon. Check out the best titles it has to offer below!
Here's a List of Businesses to Boycott - or Support - If You Oppose Trump
Donald Trump's controversial views have led several businesses to take a clear stance for or against him. If you're looking for a list of these businesses to help inform your consumer decisions, we're here to help.
Who's Against Trump?
From the moment he announced his presidential campaign, Donald Trump created enough controversy that some businesses cut ties with him. Macy's stopped selling Trump's line of menswear after he declared most Mexican immigrants were rapists and murderers, and stood by their decision even after the election. NBC also cut ties with him, canceling their broadcast of the Miss USA pageant, which Trump owned, and replacing him as the host of Celebrity Apprentice.
Designers like Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, and Sophie Theallet have also made clear their disapproval of the president by refusing to dress the future first lady, Melania Trump. Additionally, an large list of artists rejected invitations to perform at the presidential inauguration on Jan. 20. The list includes Elton John, Garth Brooks, Gene Simmons, Andrea Bocelli, Charlotte Church, and Jennifer Holliday.
Who Supports Trump, and How?
Of course, some businesses have expressed their support of Trump. One recently publicized case was that of L.L.Bean, which Trump praised in a tweet before he took office, thanking Linda Bean, heiress to the company, for her support. He also urged his supporters to buy the brand's products. (As president, he is now prohibited from endorsing specific brands by the Office of Government Ethics.) The tweet was issued in response to a $30,000 donation Bean made in support of Trump, which was recently revealed to have exceeded the annual limit for individuals.
Thank you to Linda Bean of L.L.Bean for your great support and courage. People will support you even more now. Buy L.L.Bean. @LBPerfectMaine
- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 12, 2017
An online group, Grab Your Wallet, has compiled a list of businesses that consumers who oppose Trump could consider boycotting. These businesses fall into two categories. The first includes companies who have not necessarily openly expressed support for Trump, but who continue to carry either his brand's products or those manufactured for his daughter Ivanka Trump's brand. This category includes large companies like Amazon, even though its CEO, Jeff Bezos, who also owns the Washington Post, has been harshly criticized, and even threatened, by Trump. Macy's, despite having stopped selling Trump's clothing line, is also on the list, because the retailer continues to sell Ivanka's products. Other big names currently on the list include Bed Bath & Beyond, Bloomingdale's, Sears, Walmart, Saks Off Fifth, Winners, Kmart, and Lord & Taylor.
The second category includes companies who have supported Trump more directly, whether through public endorsements, donations, or advertising. For example, Steve Forbes, the chairman of Forbes Media, has publicly endorsed Trump, as have Hobby Lobby CEO David Green, Yuengling Beer owner Dick Yuengling Jr., and NASCAR CEO Brian France. Others have actively raised funds for or donated to the Trump campaign, such as New Balance chairman Jim Davis, who reportedly donated nearly $400,000, and of course, Linda Bean.
The website also points out companies who are advertisers on NBC's The New Celebrity Apprentice, of which Donald Trump remains executive producer. This category includes Tyra Banks's beauty line Tyra Beauty, the juice company Welch's, and Trident gum.
Finally, the website mentions a list of businesses for which a boycott case could be made, but which Grab Your Wallet has decided to exempt for various reasons. For example, PayPal cofounder Peter Thiel has actively supported Trump, but because Thiel is no longer involved with the company, PayPal is not on the boycott list. The Washington Post is also spared, despite being owned by Jeff Bezos (see above), because of the importance of maintaining free press and capable journalism under President Trump.
Definitive Proof That You Can Treat the Cursed Child Like Fan-Fiction (Because It Is)
After reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, many fans were left upset and with plenty of questions. Namely: why ruin the magic of Harry Potter with the insufferable Albus Potter? However, a closer look at J.K. Rowling's ebooks of Hogwarts prove that everything Albus did in Cursed Child shouldn't have happened.
For those of us who read through the play fast and forgot what happened: Albus uses a Time Turner to go back in time and stop Cedric Diggory from dying. The Time Turner is used again to go to the day Harry's parents died and to stop Voldemort's daughter evil plan (commence my eye-rolling).
However, according to Cosmopolitan, Rowling wrote in Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide the following: "All attempts to travel back further than a few hours have resulted in catastrophic harm to the witch or wizard involved. It was not realized for many years why time travelers over great distances never survived their journeys." Essentially, Albus and everyone else involved in traveling back in time twice (!) should've had "catastrophic harm" done to them.
But considering this isn't Hogwarts: A History nor a book on a list of school supplies needed at Hogwarts, we might not want to take it so seriously. After all, it does say "incomplete and unreliable guide."
The Very Obvious Reason Papa John's Pizza Tastes Sweet, According to a Former Employee
A former Papa John's manager recently shared his many insights in a Reddit IAmA session. The unnamed employee also worked as a Domino's manager; however, his Papa John's company secrets were particularly enlightening and refreshingly honest. In addition to naming the two pizzas you should stay away from, the employee also shared his special recipe that is a re-creation of the chain's buttery garlic sauce. Read ahead to learn all of the interesting tidbits.
There's a very obvious reason the pizza tastes slightly sweet.
Have you ever wondered why that addictive red sauce has a sweet aftertaste? After making this observation, a Reddit user asked the employee why the pizza tastes as though "the red sauce is candied." According to the employee, there's a simple reason for that. "It's full of sugar," he said.
The official tagline does deliver on its promise.
The chain's decades-old tagline states, "Better Ingredients. Better Pizza. Papa John's." The employee complimented the company when he said the Papa John's tagline actually holds up. "They do actually have better ingredients," he said, adding, "The sauce is surprisingly high quality and the vegetables are all fresh."
The worst signature pizza might surprise you.
When asked to name the worst pizza-topping combination available at Papa John's, he said, "John's Favorite is awful." The signature pizza consists of sausage, pepperoni, Italian seasoning, and a six-cheese blend. If that combination doesn't sound too bad to you, the employee insisted, "It's just grease on top of grease."
Stay away from the Spinach Alfredo Pizza.
Though it sounds tasty, the creamy Spinach Alfredo Pizza is a risky order. The employee admitted that it goes to waste pretty quickly. He said, "Papa John's has a spinach alfredo sauce that's delicious but only gets ordered maybe once a week, and it hits its sell by date 3 days after you open the bag." Oh, but it gets worse. According to him, employees don't actually throw out the sauce after it goes bad. He said, "No one actually throws it out until it's either gone or nasty looking."
There's a better way to reheat your leftover pizza.
Next time you have leftover pizza, don't even think about using the microwave. In order to get the most out of your pizza, the employee recommended his method involving a frying pan with a lid and olive oil. According to him, letting the pizza simmer over a small amount of olive oil "makes the crust crispy without drying out the toppings."
Yes, you can make your own garlic sauce.
After receiving so many questions about that famous Papa John's garlic sauce, the employee finally shared his recipe at the top of the page. For starters, you'll need to sauté a few cloves of minced garlic. When the garlic gets soft, reduce your heat to a low simmer. Then add basil, parsley, salt, and two entire sticks of butter - yes, really. He added, "The heat should be just enough to melt the butter and not much more." Interestingly enough, Papa John's uses margarine for its garlic sauce; however, the employee argues that butter tastes better.
The 12 Most Underrated Horror Movies of All Time
As a kid, I always gravitated toward horror comic books and movies - the darker, the better. There are lots of different flavors and nuances of horror, but here is a wide range of underrated or overlooked films, from comedic ones like Murder Party and Mr. Vampire, to downright terrifying ones like Evil Dead Trap, to sinister and cerebral ones like Pulse (the original, not the lame remake).

Prince Charles Made a "Joke" After Harry's Birth That Actually Broke Diana's Heart
Princess Diana was many things to many people, but above all else, she was an adoring and doting mother of two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. While much is known about Diana's special connection with her boys, there's one thing people may not know about Harry's birth in particular: Prince Charles "desperately" wanted a little girl, and Diana, knowing that she was carrying a baby boy, kept the secret from her husband throughout her entire pregnancy.
About a year after Prince William was born in June 1982, Diana was under pressure to produce a spare to the heir. In September 1983, Buckingham Palace announced that Diana was pregnant for a second time, but sadly, she suffered a miscarriage later that week while at the Balmoral estate in Scotland. Cut to early 1984, when Charles and Diana found out that they were expecting again. During her difficult pregnancy, Diana told friends, "I don't think I'm made for the production line, but it's all worth it in the end."
In September 1984, Diana gave birth to a baby boy, Henry Charles Albert David Mountbatten-Windsor, after nine hours of labor and zero drugs. In Andrew Morton's Diana: Her True Story, the princess revealed her husband's "dismay" after welcoming their second child: "Charles always wanted a girl," she said. "Harry was a boy. His first comment was, 'Oh God, it's a boy.' His second: 'And he's even got red hair.'" Charles discounted the comment as a joke, but Diana was extremely hurt and offended: not only had she just endured nine f*cking hours of natural birth, but her older sisters and younger brother, Earl Spencer, all happen to have red hair, a trait that runs in the Spencer family. What's worse, at Harry's christening in December, Charles reportedly told Diana's mother, "We were so disappointed - we thought it would be a girl."
Diana went on to explain that she and Charles were "the closest we've ever, ever been and ever will be" in the weeks before Harry was born, adding, "Then, suddenly, as Harry was born, it just went bang, our marriage. The whole thing went down the drain." She went on to admit that "something inside me closed off," after Harry's birth - especially because Charles had picked up his longtime affair with Camilla Parker Bowles. "By then, I knew Charles had gone back to his lady," she said of the rekindled romance.
Harry's red hair led many to believe that his biological father was actually James Hewitt, an English Army captain who was hired to teach Diana, William, and Harry horseback riding. While Diana and James did carry on an affair in the late '80s, they didn't meet until two years after Harry's birth. And Charles's desire for a baby girl has held strong after all these years, as evidenced by his excitement over the birth of Princess Charlotte in 2015. "I was hoping for a granddaughter - someone to look after me when I am very old," he told reporters during a public engagement that year. "I am really rather thrilled."
You'll Never Sleep Again After Seeing This Incredibly Creepy Game of Thrones Detail
Buckle up, you guys, because I'm about to dive into what might be Game of Thrones season seven's craziest theory so far (other than ice dragons, obviously . . . and also Bran being the Night King . . . maybe it's not so crazy after all?!). In "The Spoils of War," episode four of the seventh season, the sparring session between Arya (Maisie Williams) and Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) at Winterfell ends up being one of the most touching scenes of the episode. Not only is there a heartbreaking connection to Arya's father, Ned Stark, but it turns out there might be a link to Arya's mother, Catelyn Stark, as well.
One fan, Redditor GrennsGal, thinks the legit ghost of Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley) can be seen casually strolling around Winterfell in the background of this scene. Right after Arya brings up the vow Brienne made to Catelyn ("You swore to serve both my mother's daughters"), GrennsGal noticed "a woman in a long green dress w/ long auburn wavy hair with her head down walking past the background gate, resembling Cat." The woman appears right as Arya says the word "mother."
Not gonna lie, that GIF sends more than a few chills down my spine. But is it really Catelyn? Thanks to Game of Thrones' penchant for dark colors, I can barely make out any distinguishing features on that woman. Let's zoom in, shall we?
ALL RIGHT, all right . . . I can kind of see it! Now, this is likely just a coincidence, something GrennsGal also noted in their post, but the resemblance (the long red hair and dress) is interesting, to say the least. Remember that this is a show that once featured an entire storyline about a sorceress giving birth to a demon baby made of black smog, so a ghost would actually be far, far down on the list of bizarre occurrences in Westeros.
It's also worth pointing out that the idea that Catelyn is using the afterlife to keep tabs on her daughters would be a not-so-subtle reference to the character's arc in George R.R. Martin's novels. In the books, Catelyn is revived after the Red Wedding as Lady Stoneheart (a zombie, basically), who takes over Beric Dondarrion's Brotherhood Without Banners and seeks revenge for what the Freys did to her family. Since Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have already said that they won't be adapting that aspect of the books for the show, and Arya has been taking over Lady Stoneheart's revenge plot as it is anyway, a cameo from Catelyn's literal ghost (wow) might be as close as we get.
Watch the whole scene below to decide for yourself ("Catelyn" first appears at the 0:53 mark, and then again at 2:00).
50 Shades of Red: What the Color of Your Period Actually Means
Women are experts at this whole period thing - we've had years of practice, after all! But sometimes there's a change in our cycles that make us run to Google for answers. When it comes to the different colors of your menstrual cycle, it's important to know what's normal for YOU. When something changes, it doesn't necessarily mean that anything is wrong (so step away from WebMD)! It could be a variety of things, but when in doubt, call your OBGYN. We talked with Nora Lansen, MD, a family practitioner with a specialty in women's health at OneMedical, to get the general understanding of the very limited colors of a period and what you need to know about them.
Bright Red
"The bright red is usually indicative of your full-on period," Lansen said. It means that the blood is "new" and the lining has been freshly shed and is coming out briskly. Some women have this color for their entire cycle.
Dark Red
In general, this means that a woman is in the thick of her period, Lansen said. Some women have very heavy periods and they experience this color more. This could also be a time that you notice small clots, which is normal as well. But if you're period is heavy and bothersome, your doctor can prescribe birth control in order to make it lighter or even make it stop.
Brown
The primary difference between the red and brown is that it's new vs. old. Brown discharge is common at the end of women's cycles because it's the blood that's been sitting in the uterus for some time. However, this varies widely, Lansen said. Some women get a few days of brown and then red and back to brown. Some never get brown discharge. Some have it just at the beginning and others just at the end. And some bleed, then stop for a few days, and then bleed again. So no, there isn't an overall "normal," but there is a personal normal. If there's a change in the color you typically experience, give your doctor a ring.
"If there's no bright red blood at all, then that could be a [birth control] implantation bleed and I would take a pregnancy test," Lansen explained. It's important to know your normal when it comes to brown discharge because you may think it's your period, but if it's not, it could lead to unplanned pregnancy. "This stuff is all so complicated, so hopefully the ideal is that every woman has a doctor she trusts and feels comfortable talking to," Lansen said.
However, if at any time of the month you notice a greenish or clear discharge with a fishy smell, see your doctor ASAP because it may be a sexually transmitted infection (STI) or bacterial infection.
