In "This Doesn't Look Good" News, FKA Twigs Appears to Be Getting Cozy With a Male Model

Are Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs on the rocks? The 29-year-old singer was spotted spending time with French model Brieuc Breitenstein while vacationing in Ibiza, Spain, on Friday. The two were photographed getting kind of close while taking in the scenery (Brieuc appeared to be nuzzling into her hair), and later that evening, they were seen walking side by side in matching all-white outfits. Meanwhile, Rob added to the split rumors when he was snapped having dinner with close friend Katy Perry in LA earlier in the week; the actor has been busy promoting his new film Good Time on both coasts.

Twigs's outing comes just weeks after Robert was asked about his relationship status in an interview with Howard Stern, to which he replied that he and Twigs were "kind of" engaged. The couple first got together back in August 2014, and engagement rumors were sparked in April 2015. The two have said a lot of sweet things about each other over the years but have managed to keep their romance pretty low-key (especially compared to Rob's last relationship with Twilight costar Kristen Stewart).

One of the last times we saw Rob and Twigs out and about together was back in May, when they took a PDA-filled stroll through LA around Rob's 31st birthday. We don't know whether Twigs and Brieuc are just friends or if her relationship with Rob is on the rocks, but we'll let you decide for yourselves.

Sen. Kamala Harris Responded to Charlottesville With This Powerful Call to Action

The events that took place in Charlottesville, Virginia on Aug. 11 and 12 are hard to process. A "Unite the Right" rally resulted in three people losing their lives - one when a car drove through a crowd of peaceful protesters and two as a result of a helicopter crashing on the way to the scene - and dozens of others were injured in clashes between white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and protesters. The fact that this is the state of affairs in America in 2017 is devastating, driving many to social media or local protests to show that this type of hatred can not and should not be condoned. There was one individual in the public eye who refused to assign blame, however, and that individual was President Donald Trump.

"We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence, on many sides," Trump told the press from his Bedminster, NJ, golf club, dodging the opportunity to disavow the white supremacists and placing the blame on all parties involved. His silence on the issue at the heart of the tragic events - and further, his silence for the remainder of the weekend - has triggered outrage across the country. Among those who condemned the president's alarming stance is California Senator Kamala Harris, who took to Facebook to slam Trump's rhetoric and encourage Americans to fight back against extremism.

"There is hope to be found. The truth is that the vast majority of Americans are good, fair and just and they want their country to reflect those ideals. And the fact that yesterday's explicit hate was met with near-universal condemnation affirms my belief in our capacity to overcome evil," Harris wrote, adding, "We don't have to let extremists define us. Opportunities to do right are right in front of us. We just have to seize them."

Sen. Harris's powerful message urges the American people to take action into their own hands, acknowledging that while we do not have a leader who is willing to condemn the groups that propagate hatred in our country, we cannot sit idly by and wait for things to change on their own. Instead, she suggests that we do our part to demonstrate that we will not accept this type of behavior as a people - and urges Congress to unite on an issue that so very clearly transcends partisanship. It's a call to action - and one that we hope will be heard loud and clear across the country, making it impossible for anything like what happened in Charlottesville to happen again.

10 Women Share Their Moving, Personal Stories About Planned Parenthood

The fight to keep Planned Parenthood's doors open - and its services available - remains as crucial as ever. So, we've teamed up with Planned Parenthood to share powerful, personal stories from women who have benefited from the nonprofit's services, which include cancer screenings, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, and providing birth control.

Despite efforts to "defund" the nonprofit and erode access to health care, millions of citizens across the country are standing with Planned Parenthood. In fact, a March report by the Kaiser Family Foundation reveals that 75 percent of Americans - including the majority of Republican men and women - support federal Medicaid reimbursement for Planned Parenthood.

Ahead are 10 testimonials from women who have witnessed the power of Planned Parenthood firsthand. Their stories were captured by Storyvine, a platform that allows users to create short video projects on their phone. If you want to lend your support to Planned Parenthood, visit the I Stand With PP website to find out more. Severus Snape Is Kind of an Assh*le (Dodges Tomatoes)

Snape was . . . a huge assh*le. He was cunning, and brilliant, and dynamic, and he was a HUGE assh*le. I love him, yes. He is one of my favorite characters in the Harry Potter series. But I also have never quite understood the ease with which we all went from hating Snape to raising him up on a pedestal that he simply doesn't belong on. Here's the thing: no one belongs on one, Snape least of all.

Severus Snape teaches us the ultimate lesson: that just because we've done bad things, it's never too late to seek and find redemption and forgiveness. His unwavering love for Lily is a testament to the power of the sentiment, to the mountains it can move, and to the lasting effect it can have on one person, and on the world as a whole.

But Snape was also a bully. He was cruel to Harry. He spent most of his childhood and adolescence on a dark path that culminated in his initiation as a Death Eater. Part of why he lost Lily's friendship in the first place is because he sought the company of future Death Eaters at Hogwarts.

In the epic Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Prince's Tale chapter, so much about Snape's past is revealed, and not all of it is pretty. This conversation from Lily and Snape's days at Hogwarts showed their friendship unraveling.

". . . thought we were supposed to be friends?" Snape was saying, "Best friends?"

"We are, Sev, but I don't like some of the people you're hanging round with! I'm sorry, but I detest Avery and Mulciber! Mulciber! What do you see in him, Sev, he's creepy! D'you know what he tried to do to Mary MacDonald the other day?" Lily had reached a pillar and leaned against it, looking up into the thin, sallow face.

"That was nothing," said Snape. "It was a laugh, that's all -"

"It was Dark Magic, and if you think that's funny -"

Harry kept his distance this time . . . He watched as Lily joined the group and went to Snape's defense. Distantly he heard Snape shout at her in his humiliation and his fury, the unforgivable word: "Mudblood."

This moment still makes my stomach turn. Yes, Snape was hurt, and yes we all say and do things that we don't mean in that state. But his deep-seated disrespect for "lesser" people wasn't present only in his moments of frustration; it showed in the countless choices he made as he grew up, and in who he chose to cultivate relationships with - as in, future Death Eaters and Voldemort himself.

He took out his hatred for a grown man (who was long dead) on his son - an 11-year-old boy who was completely innocent. Neville Longbottom's boggart was Snape, for god's sake. He laughed in Hermione's face when she was cursed and openly belittled her intelligence for years. He constantly allied himself with the likes of Slytherin students like Malfoy whose sole purpose was to make others miserable. He sat idly by while Voldemort murdered Professor Burbage for the crime of teaching Muggle Studies. You can't tell me that we can blame all of this on the mere fact that he had it out for James Potter. Nor can you convince me that all of this was to maintain the guise that Snape was indeed still loyal to Voldemort. No, Snape wasn't a terrible person, but he certainly had darkness within him, and without someone like Lily Potter to keep it in check, that fire was fueled further. Snape's hatred of James and his friends coupled with his utterly unrequited love for Lily twisted him into something that, in many ways, was terrible. Even when he knew that Lily's entire family - a baby included - was targeted by Voldemort, he thought only of Lily, and in turn, only of himself:

"You disgust me," said Dumbledore, and Harry had never heard so much contempt in his voice. Snape seemed to shrink a little, "You do not care, then, about the deaths of her husband and child? They can die, as long as you have what you want?"

Snape said nothing, but merely looked up at Dumbledore.

"Hide them all, then," he croaked. "Keep her - them - safe. Please."

And so Dumbledore did keep Harry safe. And so Snape used his love for Lily as a reason for protecting Harry, and he put everything he had into doing just that. His devotion to this promise is incredibly admirable, and it is this service to her memory that often paints him as a martyr of sorts among fans. But this doesn't mean he was kind. It doesn't mean he did what he did happily, because Harry was, after all, James Potter's son. He begrudgingly, and yes, bravely, upheld his bargain to Dumbledore and to the woman he loved. More than anything, Snape was very brave.

"Karkaroff intends to flee if the Mark burns."

"Does he?" said Dumbledore softly, as Fleur Delacour and Roger Davies came giggling in from the grounds. "And are you tempted to join him?"

"No," said Snape, his black eyes on Fleur's and Roger's retreating figures. "I am not such a coward."

"No," agreed Dumbledore. "You are a braver man by far than Igor Karkaroff. You know, I sometimes think we Sort too soon . . . "

The idea that Hogwarts Sorts too soon is important, because I really believe that a lot of who Snape became is due to where he came from and who he fell in with in Slytherin. Maybe if he'd been in Gryffindor with Lily's goodness to guide him, everything would have been different. But he wasn't, and who he was is due in large part to this. Maybe he never really had the chance to foster the part of him that could love the way he loved Lily. Maybe, like Tom Riddle, Snape is yet another character who proves that had someone given them love they so desperately needed (and deserved), something else entirely would have come to pass.

Whatever his reasons for protecting Harry were, he didn't waver in his task once he agreed to it. Above everything, I think this is what I admire most about him. He did whatever it took to keep Lily's son alive. And in the end, I do believe he cared for Harry. Somewhere along the way, Snape was able to throw off the cloak of cold hatred he had wrapped himself in years before and objectively see that Harry wasn't so much like James after all, at least not in the ways he always expected to find, and therefore saw. The moment I realized that it wasn't only about Lily anymore was when he found out Dumbledore's devastating plan.

"I have spied for you and lied for you, put myself in mortal danger for you. Everything was supposed to be to keep Lily Potter's son safe. Now you tell me you have been raising him like a pig for slaughter -"

"But this is touching, Severus," said Dumbledore seriously. "Have you grown to care for the boy, after all?"

"For him?" shouted Snape. "Expecto Patronum!"

From the tip of his wand burst the silver doe. She landed on the office floor, bounded once across the office, and soared out of the window. Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears.

"After all this time?"

"Always," said Snape.

Stubborn until the bitter end, Snape still couldn't bring himself to admit that what he did was for anyone but Lily. And maybe that's true. Maybe his motives were selfish, and maybe he's an overall sh*tty guy whose attempt at fulfilling a promise in honor of the memory of a woman he loved just happened to, by default, have wonderful results. I don't think so. But maybe it doesn't really matter why he did what he did.

No, I don't think Snape was a great person, but I certainly think Snape did great things. Snape is one of my favorite characters because he was so imperfect. His motives were never pure, he was majorly flawed, he was born and raised in darkness and could have clung to it - and in many ways did. But somewhere deep down he realized - I think in part because of his relationship with Dumbledore - what it truly meant to fight on the side of good. Despite everything he'd been through in his rather bleak life, he was capable of a love so deep, it literally changed the tide of a war. He played his part in saving Harry's life, and in turn, he played his part in saving the wizarding world from something far more terrible than the decades-old grudge of a sad and lonely man.

I think we romanticize Snape, we raise him up on that pedestal - one he can't ever live up to because the stains of his past will always be a part of him. But I love Snape, stains and all, because he epitomizes what these books stand for. The strength of bravery, the reality of failure and the hope of forgiveness, the importance of perseverance, the beauty of unwavering loyalty, the reassurance that light can and will drive out the darkness. And most of all, the monumental power of love. Always, love.

19 Signs You're Most Definitely From the Good-Old Midwest

Hello, fellow Midwestern folk! If, like me, you come from somewhere in middle America, you will know that there are a few things about your life growing up that anyone outside the Midwest just won't understand. As a child of the great state of Ohio, I have fond memories of high school football, walking around town late at night and not worrying about my safety, and sitting in an unconditioned church on Sunday morning reading Harry Potter inside my Bible cover.

You probably say pop instead of soda and have a lingo in your household that is totally exclusive to our region, and that's what makes us special. And whether or not you still live in the Midwest doesn't matter, because you'll always carry the Midwest with you wherever you go, including these 19 things about us that we all can relate to.

You'll Never Sleep Again After Seeing This Incredibly Creepy Game of Thrones Detail

Buckle up, you guys, because I'm about to dive into what might be Game of Thrones season seven's craziest theory so far (other than ice dragons, obviously . . . and also Bran being the Night King . . . maybe it's not so crazy after all?!). In "The Spoils of War," episode four of the seventh season, the sparring session between Arya (Maisie Williams) and Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) at Winterfell ends up being one of the most touching scenes of the episode. Not only is there a heartbreaking connection to Arya's father, Ned Stark, but it turns out there might be a link to Arya's mother, Catelyn Stark, as well.

One fan, Redditor GrennsGal, thinks the legit ghost of Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley) can be seen casually strolling around Winterfell in the background of this scene. Right after Arya brings up the vow Brienne made to Catelyn ("You swore to serve both my mother's daughters"), GrennsGal noticed "a woman in a long green dress w/ long auburn wavy hair with her head down walking past the background gate, resembling Cat." The woman appears right as Arya says the word "mother."

Not gonna lie, that GIF sends more than a few chills down my spine. But is it really Catelyn? Thanks to Game of Thrones' penchant for dark colors, I can barely make out any distinguishing features on that woman. Let's zoom in, shall we?

ALL RIGHT, all right . . . I can kind of see it! Now, this is likely just a coincidence, something GrennsGal also noted in their post, but the resemblance (the long red hair and dress) is interesting, to say the least. Remember that this is a show that once featured an entire storyline about a sorceress giving birth to a demon baby made of black smog, so a ghost would actually be far, far down on the list of bizarre occurrences in Westeros.

It's also worth pointing out that the idea that Catelyn is using the afterlife to keep tabs on her daughters would be a not-so-subtle reference to the character's arc in George R.R. Martin's novels. In the books, Catelyn is revived after the Red Wedding as Lady Stoneheart (a zombie, basically), who takes over Beric Dondarrion's Brotherhood Without Banners and seeks revenge for what the Freys did to her family. Since Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have already said that they won't be adapting that aspect of the books for the show, and Arya has been taking over Lady Stoneheart's revenge plot as it is anyway, a cameo from Catelyn's literal ghost (wow) might be as close as we get.

Watch the whole scene below to decide for yourself ("Catelyn" first appears at the 0:53 mark, and then again at 2:00).

Sip These Teas to Soothe Your Stomach, Lose Weight, and Get Clear Skin

Tea is a soothing Winter drink, and it can have pretty miraculous healing properties. Did you know the teabag you choose can give you a unique result? Whether your goal is calming down, perking up, or recovering, there's a tea for that.

We asked tea expert Kristina Richens - a director at The Republic of Tea, certified tea specialist from Front Range Herbal Institute, and speaker from the SF International Tea Festival - to share what she's learned from her travels to China, India, Japan, and South Africa. She spoke about which teas you should brew up for each time of the day, as well as which ones help with certain physical goals (even if your goal is just to fall asleep!).

  • Supercharge Your Morning: Black or Green Tea. The caffeine content with L-theanine (present in these teas) will give you a calm state of alertness.
  • Get Through an Afternoon Slump: Green Tea With Ginkgo Biloba. Kristina told us that green tea can enhance performance, while ginkgo biloba can keep your memory sharp.
  • Recover After a Workout: Black Tea. A cup of black tea has 88 milligrams of potassium, which contributes to muscular recovery.
  • Reduce Stress and Anxiety: Green Tea, Lavender, or Chamomile. Time to unwind. "Chamomile and lavender are known as nerve-soothers and calming herbs," she said. Lavender and lavender oil are great ingredients to look for when relieving anxiety, and green tea and matcha also promote relaxation.
  • Snooze Soundly: Chamomile or Valerian. Soothing and mellowing chamomile and valerian root will help you slip into a peaceful slumber. Valerian root, referred to as nature's Valium, is a common ingredient in sleep supplements thanks to its relaxing properties. "Valerian is also great for drinking before bed as it won't interfere with REM sleep," Kristina said.
  • Slim Down: Dandelion or Peppermint. Dandelion has been said to help eliminate excess water weight, as well as aid in digestion - a key component in weight loss. "Dandelion's use traces back to the 10th century when Arabian physicians revered the root for its cleansing properties and as a natural aid for digestion," she said. Peppermint tea can help curb your appetite and support digestion as well. In herbal blends, Kristina says to look for ingredients like "gymnema leaves, which are known as the 'destroyer of sugar' in Ayurvedic medicine," and "cordyceps, a Chinese medicinal herb, [which] may boost energy and endurance, and can help rev up your internal engine and increase metabolism."
  • Clear Skin: Rooibos or Green Tea. Antioxidant-packed rooibos and green tea can both help alleviate acne, pimples, sunburns, and uneven skin.
  • Soothe an Upset Stomach: Dandelion or Ginger. The dandelion root is a natural aid for digestion and has cleansing properties, while ginger root is known to settle a stomach in all its forms.

Is It Hot in Here or Is Demi Lovato's Lingerie Photo Heating Things Up?

Demi Lovato was in a very sexy mood when she posted these photos on her Instagram story. The "Sorry Not Sorry" singer looked like an angel sent from heaven in two all-white outfits that were completely different from each other.

In one photo, Demi is wearing a delicate silk robe dress that ties in the front and has a low-cut v-neck, but in the other, she's rocking a white camisole and underwear and posing in bed. We know that Demi, who has been sharing more than a few hot snaps lately, knew that second post will send us into overdrive and make us drop our phones.

We love seeing this side of Demi because it shows she's getting more and more confident with showing off the body that she says she works hard for. "... About what people think of my body. I am more than just a number and a jean size. F**k yeah," she wrote on Twitter on April 11. "I rarely post pics with my belly button showing because I'm normally insecure about showing my full stomach but I've been working really hard," she said on another Instagram post on Aug. 1. While we recuperate from seeing these photos, take a look yourself, but make sure you're sitting down . . . trust us.

The Biggest Mistake I Made Before Hiking to Machu Picchu

Can I confess something to you? I am addicted to adventure. No matter the day, my mind thirsts for adventure the way some yearn for their first cup of coffee. So when I had the opportunity to hike the four-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu not too long ago, as you can imagine, the thought of this trek made me high on thrill.

Little did I know this adventure would unfortunately be one of the worst experiences of my life due to some unforeseen circumstances. Let's just say I brought home an unwanted souvenir from the trip: a parasite.

Would I make the trek again? Yes! Machu Picchu is an incredible place to discover in person, not to mention it is one of the new seven wonders of the world. But would I change a few things before making the trek again? Absolutely.

If trekking along the 26-mile Inca Trail is in your future or if the thought has ever crept into your mind, make sure you take into consideration the valuable eight lessons I learned from my experience.

7 Ways to Avoid Raising a Needy Child

Raising children who are independent and self-sufficient is no easy feat - no mom wants to still be cooking and doing laundry for her child 30 years down the line. Although we want our babies to stay babies forever, as parents we have to do as much as we can while our kiddos are little to help them grow up to be self-reliant in preparation for adulthood.

Read through for seven tips to help you raise independent children.

A Millennial Mom's Thank-You Letter to "the Village"

We moms get a lot of credit. Much of it is deserved, which is why I do not contest being celebrated once a year (that's it?!) on Mother's Day. I live for that one day where everyone - from my toddler to my husband to my own mother to the waiter serving me my second mimosa at brunch - tips their hats to the bang-up job I'm doing as a mom.

But as much as I'd like to take all the credit (and if you asked my husband, I do), I know for a fact that I wouldn't even resemble a human, nevermind a fully functioning one raising two kids, without my support system. Without my village.

These days, people opine that "the village" is dead. That, thanks to our generation up and moving away from "home" and using smartphones, we no longer have a built-in community surrounding us with love. On some level it's true - there are mornings I wake up kicking myself for living so far from my parents and siblings. But with a combination of effort and mostly luck, I've managed to mod-podge a "millennial version" of the village that I'd be lost without.

To them, I want to say thank you.

Thank you to my village.

Thank you for sitting with me, not saying a word. Just sitting.

Thank you for not just offering help but getting really specific about it: "I'm going to bring you dinner on Tuesday night - what have you been craving?" "I'm going to take the kids to the park so you can take a shower." "I'm going to change the baby's diaper, don't get up."

Thank you for answering my text messages, whether it's 3 in the afternoon and you're on a work deadline or 3 in the morning and the buzz of your phone woke you from a really nice REM state.

Thank you for telling me I'm beautiful, that I look great, that my body is amazing. I often forget these days that it is.

Thank you for complimenting my boobs in a way that isn't at all icky.

Thank you for distracting me from the hard times and reminding me of the good ones. Thank you for giving me the extra push I need to get through the longer days.

Thank you for yelling over my midtantrum child that I'm doing a good job and that she's a good kid.

Thank you for recognizing when I actually want advice – for you to tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it – and when I want you to just be the supportive cheerleader. Mostly, though, thank you for recognizing that sometimes, what I want doesn't matter and you are going to be the friend I need.

Thank you to my faraway village.

Thank you for visiting.

Thank you for visiting and understanding that while we once said, "Oh, we got this three-bedroom condo so our family could always stay with us!" . . . we need you to rent an Airbnb.

Thank you for not making me feel guilty for not replying to your email(s).

Thank you for the sweet gifts we get in the mail - they make me realize how often you are truly thinking of us - and for not expecting me to send a thank-you card in a timely fashion.

Thank you for the random "this reminded me of you" text message and for tagging me in that meme you knew would give me a laugh.

Thank you for always being here when I need you, even if you are technically there.

Thank you to the strangers, the previously unknown members of my village.

Thank you for smiling at me. Knowing smiles, nostalgic smiles, "Honey, I've been there" smiles.

Thank you for, when we're all waiting in a long line to check out at the grocery store and a new register opens up, letting me - with a baby wrapped on my chest and a cartful of frozen dinners - go ahead of you.

Thank you for insisting my toddler and I take your seat on the train, even when I said, "Oh, it's OK, we're fine." It's as if you knew I'm bad at taking favors.

Thank you for, when I'm calling to dispute a charge on my credit card and you hear my baby's cries in the background, you stop to congratulate me and ask how I'm doing.

Thank you for pointedly telling me not to apologize when I say "sorry" as my toddler barrels in front of you on the sidewalk.

Thank you for always "liking" my posts in our Facebook moms group, for sharing your anecdotal advice, and for always adding a "you got this" and a bicep emoji - even though we've never actually met.

Most of all, village, thank you for all the things I can't begin to thank you for - either because I've lost track of my good graces in trying to keep my kiddos alive and they've gone unnoticed or because they are too monumental to show any level of equivalent appreciation. Thank you for being a part of my tribe. I hope I'm able to be a part of yours just the same.

5 Photos of Your Kids That You Shouldn't Post to Social Media

If anyone knows how tempting it is to share our kids' hysterical, adorable, or unreal moments with our entire social networks, it's us. We get it. Proud parents want to shout their children's accomplishments - regardless of how big or small - from the (virtual) rooftop. But the Internet is a vast and potentially scary place, and it's our duty to protect our families. As nice as it would be if those privacy settings were a sufficient barrier, there are still caveats to every safety net that we have to be conscious of. Here, five times that parents should hold off on sharing their kids' snaps with the Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter-verse.

This Is the Facial Oil All Your Favorite Makeup Artists Use on Instagram

One of our favorite ways to waste time is by scrolling through the seemingly endless Instagram feeds of talented makeup artists. But among learning airbrushing tips, strobing techniques, and how to "sandbag" our under-eye area, we've noticed something: many of them are applying a mysterious oil to their skin before slicking on foundation.

As it turns out, the gold-flecked potion is Farsáli Rose Gold Elixir ($54), a nourishing complexion treatment created by famous Instagrammer Farah Dhukai. Does that name sound familiar? It should! She's the makeup artist responsible for viral beauty hacks such as fighting dandruff with mouthwash, growing eyebrow hairs with onion, and substituting lime juice for deodorant.

According to our friends at Allure, the Farsáli facial treatment is effective as well as gorgeous. "The oils in the product are rich in vitamins C, E, and A, so they'll have antioxidant properties that will protect skin from environmental and internal free-radical sources," cosmetic chemist Joseph Cincotta told the outlet. Rosehip seed oil is responsible for nourishing your complexion, while the real 24-carat gold adds a subtle golden gleam.

4 Morning Rituals to Help Relieve Anxiety

I'm an innately anxious person. Maybe it's just something that's in my genes (thanks, Mom). Maybe I was just born this way, baby. As a kid, I can remember lying in bed in the middle of the night allowing thoughts of worry to ruminate in my head until I was completely consumed by panic. I obsessed over everything and often tried to predict every possible outcome of a situation before it happened. I allowed anxiety to hold me back from doing the things I really wanted to do. I skipped social events, held back from voicing my opinion in my professional life, and avoided risks at all costs.

I've missed out on a lot of moments of what could have been pure joy because I was too anxious to enjoy myself. Living in constant fear, especially when it begins to impact your daily responsibilities or your relationships, is exhausting and can be debilitating. After a panic attack so severe I convinced myself I was having a heart attack, I knew I had to make a change in order to manage my anxiety. I knew I couldn't necessarily control my thoughts or completely stop feelings of anxiety altogether, but I could control my behaviors and actions to help reduce some of the side effects.

I began to make a running list of things I did or used to help calm me down when I feel anxiety creeping in. I ended up finding over 50 activities and actions and decided I would practice the ones I felt had the biggest impact each day. I've found the morning is when I typically feel the most anxious, so I wanted to try to I pick a few practices from this list to try each morning. I've identified four rituals that I find to be the most feasible and most effective in the reduction of my anxiety. When I put these simple actions into practice (particularly first thing in the morning) I am noticeably less stressed, more focused, and best of all, less anxious throughout the day.

1. Practice Gratitude

When you're feeling a sense of worry about something in your life or just suffer from generalized anxiety, it can be hard to focus on the positive. The first thing I do when I wake up is say one thing I'm grateful for. It can range from being grateful for my family to being grateful for the comfy socks I have on. Anything that gives me a momentary sense of gratitude. Doing this makes me recognize something good in my life and ultimately fills my mind and spirit with positivity.

2. Take a Breath

All it takes is a minute of focused breathing to help slow down your brain and calm your nerves. There are lots of resources on different types of breathing techniques out there and benefits each one can have on anxiety. When my mornings are hectic or I'm already feeling the weight of the day in my chest, I prefer to practice this really focused (and superquick) breathing technique. All I do is take a deep breath through my nose for a count of 10 seconds, then exhale deeply from my mouth for 10 seconds. If I feel I need to, I'll repeat this a couple of times. The results are immediate - I feel calmer and more centered and also get a quick mental break because I'm focused solely on my breath. The best part is I can do this exercise anywhere and at any time.

3. Exercise

I know, I know - exercise may not always be easy to do first thing in the morning. Sometimes I would much rather hit the snooze button and stay in my warm, comfy blanket cocoon than get physical. But even just the smallest amount of exercise (think a short walk or jog, some jumping jacks, yoga) can have exponential positive benefits when it comes to tackling anxiety. When I drive to the gym in the morning, feeling exhausted and anxious about the day, I always leave feeling more accomplished and centered.

4. Pick a Goal, Any Goal

A huge source of my anxiety stems from wanting to take it all on at once. I used to write a to-do list for myself a mile long and then get anxious just staring at it. So anxious and overwhelmed, in fact, that I didn't even know where to begin, so I just stared blankly, accomplishing nothing and feeling like a failure. Now, in the morning, I set one main goal for myself. I tell myself if I achieve this one thing, then I've mastered the day and immediately feel less anxious. The bonus: if I finish that goal and accomplish something else, I feel like I'm totally winning at life.

These four rituals may not work for everyone, but I can tell you they've significantly changed my life. For anyone who suffers from anxiety, or would just like to find a little more peace in their own lives, I highly encourage you to make your own list. You may surprise yourself and ultimately find a way to create a little more bliss every single day.

This Italian Model Floated Down the Aisle in a Cloud of a Wedding Dress You Have to See

It's no wonder Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana designed Bianca Balti the most beautiful wedding dress - the Italian supermodel made her industry debut with the Milan-based brand. But since then, Bianca's gone on to walk the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2005, nab the 2017 Rookie of the Year Sports Illustrated title, and create her own swimwear. Needless to say, her nuptials to Matty McRae, which took place at The Ranch at Laguna Beach, attracted most of the fashion industry.

The setting was lovely, and Bianca got ready for her ceremony in an off-the-shoulder, floral-print dress. She celebrated her surprise bachelorette in a tulle skirt and tee that read "Bride." But it was her romantic pouf-sleeved wedding gown that stole the show. Stitched with ivory lace, the number was instantly recognizable as a classic Dolce & Gabbana look, as was the lemon motif that could be spotted throughout the reception. Read on to soak up every dreamy detail.

See Why Reddit Is Freaking Out Over This Apartment

When photographer Nicolette Johnson put images she took of her art-filled Australian apartment on Reddit's Interior Design forum, she could not have imagined her post would take off the way it did.

Within minutes, fellow users were inundating her with questions on everything from where she purchased specific pieces to where she hid all her junk in the clutter-free space.

The short answers: she scavenged much of her furniture and decor from affordable sources; the Danish armchairs are from eBay and their cushions were refurbished by her mom; the stunning dhurrie rug was a steal from Gumtree (Australia's version of Craigslist); and the Scandinavian bed frame is from Ikea. As for where she keeps all her junk, she said she purged most of her stuff before downsizing to the small apartment.

23 People Who Are Already Obsessed With This Game of Thrones Bromance

Jon Snow and Ser Davos might have grown close over the last few seasons of Game of Thrones, but after Sunday night's episode, "Eastwatch," it looks like the King in the North has a new BFF: Gendry. Not only does Robert Baratheon's bastard return to the show looking better than ever (seriously, we're still drooling), but he also immediately bonds with Jon over their fathers' history. "Our fathers trusted each other, why shouldn't we?" the young blacksmith asks Jon, before they each tease each other about their looks and generally make us all googly-eyed. Twitter felt the same after watching their insta-friendship and had some pretty hilarious reactions to it all.

Forget the 80/20 Rule! This Trainer Says to Follow the 90/10 Rule to Lose Weight

If this is the year you've committed to finally losing weight and getting in shape, we asked trainer Autumn Calabrese, creator of the 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme fitness and nutrition programs, to share what she thinks is the number one way to finally reach your weight-loss goals.

"The number one thing people need to do to lose weight in 2017 is be consistent. You need to be consistent with your workouts, getting at least 30 minutes of exercise four to five days a week," she said. An easy way to get in the habit is to choose four or five specific days of the week, as well as one specific time, such as Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 6 a.m. Think of these as important appointments you've made with yourself that you cannot skip out on. The first two to three weeks will be the hardest, but once you're used to working out on the same days and times each week, it'll feel weird not to.

Autumn also said, "You also need to be consistent with your healthy eating. That doesn't mean you have to be perfect all the time but you do have to be on top of it. I like the 90/10 rule. I know a lot of people say 80/20, but if you're really trying to lose weight then 90 percent of the time you need to be eating healthy, clean food in the proper portions." Autumn says it's OK to splurge on one cheat meal once a week, but make sure it's a cheat meal, not an entire cheat day. "If you do these two things, work out and eat right consistently, you will lose weight and keep it off." Autumn reminds us that "being healthy is a journey, not a destination."

Don't Freak Out, but Disney Cruises Already Announced Its Plans For Halloween

If you've never considered spending Halloween aboard a Disney Cruise, a new announcement might make you change your mind. In anticipation of the spooky holiday, Disney Cruise Line revealed the many events and activities it has planned as part of Halloween on the High Seas.

The festivities will officially begin on the Disney Magic, Wonder, Dream, and Fantasy on Sept. 2, with dates differing depending on the ship. The participating ships will offer themed menu items, live entertainment, and elaborate decorations, like the storied Pumpkin Tree that is located right in the middle of the ship. Throughout the entire trip, Disney will also be airing Halloween-themed movies on all televisions.

According to a press release, Halloween on the High Seas will also include several special events. There's Mickey's Mouse-querade Party, a costume party that will involve dancing, trick-or-treating, and games. Haunted Stories of the Sea will allow travelers to gather under the stars and listen to scary stories from a mysterious captain. The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing and Scream is described as an "interactive movie experience" where travelers can meet Jack Skellington and Sally afterward. There will also be a Creepy Cabaret music performance with "ghostly musicians."

While the entire cruise is fun for guests of all ages, Disney will also be hosting a few nighttime events for adults, including an adults-only costume contest with appearances from a few famous villains. Since Disney was recently named the top private island cruise line, we're sure this will be an unmatched experience.

Jennifer Aniston Started This Sexy Trend on Friends That's Still Going Strong

From "The Rachel" hairstyle to slinky slip dresses and miniskirts with knee-high boots, Jennifer Aniston championed so many popular '90s looks on Friends. There was one little faux pas, however, that was widely discussed throughout the 10-season series: Jen's nipples and how visible they were on screen.

It's really no big deal - even if the actress had been going braless, that's her prerogative (or perhaps an idea of the costume designer's). By now there are plenty of celebrities - models and Hollywood stars included - who ditch their lingerie both on the street and behind the camera.

Even so, Jennifer insists she was wearing a bra on the show in an interview with Vogue: "Yeah, I don't know what to say about that! It's just one of those things, I guess. I wear a bra, I don't know what to tell ya! And I don't know why we're supposed to be ashamed of them - it's just the way my breasts are! But hey, OG [of the #FreeTheNipple trend], I'm not going to complain!"

Read on to see the many times Rachel's breasts were – ahem - well-defined on Friends. One thing's for sure: she looked good in whatever she was wearing, no matter what trend she was setting.

Salma Hayek Just Quenched All of Our Thirst With This Bikini Picture

This Model's Resemblance to Angelina Jolie Will Blow Your Mind

Chances are, model Mara Teigen looks very familiar to you. As far as we know, she's not related to Chrissy Teigen, but like her, she has some impressive credentials to her name. You've seen her in advertisements for Milani Cosmetics and Frankie's Bikinis. However, there's a good chance you know Mara from Kylie Jenner's confusing lip gloss commercial - she was one of the foxy felons.

A closer look at her Instagram led to another revelation: she looks just like Angelina Jolie (and we think Mara thinks she does, too)! She's not the Academy Award winner's first doppelgänger, but the resemblance is truly striking all the same.

The model's light eyes are framed by winged-out lashes that closely mirror Angelina's, and they have the same forehead and pillowy pout. Mara especially likes to accentuate hers with Kylie Lip Kits. Read on, and prepare to see double.

NASA Asked People What Message They'd Beam Into Space and It Turned Into a Trump Roast

Not all heroes wear capes; some tweet hilarious messages about President Donald Trump to NASA. The space agency is celebrating Voyager 1 and 2's 40th anniversary by asking the public to post a "short, uplifting message" on social media. In return, it might choose your message to beam into space on the anniversary of Voyager 1's launch. While some are using the opportunity to share kind and thoughtful words, others are taking the chance to roast Trump.

The idea of beaming a message to the Voyager comes from the spacecraft's Golden Record of Earth, which includes photos, sounds, and messages from the planet we live on. Both Voyager 1 and 2 carry this record. If you love the sound of this campaign, you need to post a message to Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, and Google+ by Aug. 15 by 11:59 p.m. PT. From there, NASA, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and the Voyager team will pick their favorites. The public will then vote on the winning message, which will be transmitted on Sept. 5 to Voyager 1 and arrive to the unit on Sept. 6.

Some took the campaign to heart and posted messages such as:

But many, many others used the opportunity to let Voyager 1 - and maybe the entire galaxy - know exactly what they think about Trump.

We're going to go ahead and guess that NASA isn't going to pick one of the Trump burns as the message it beams up to space, but for those of us on Earth, it's pretty damn hilarious. May NASA choose well; after all, as the agency wrote in a press release, "Since the spacecraft could last billions of years, these circular time capsules could one day be the only traces of human civilization."

This Kindergarten Shamed 1 Mom For Her "Unacceptable" Snack: Raisins

After packing her little one what she considered to be an appropriate snack, one mom is sharing the surprising note that her child came home from kindergarten with.

The mom from Australia first shared the note on a closed Facebook group, and it has since gone viral for its criticism of dried fruit. "Please help us to encourage nutritious eating habits in children. Our healthy eating policy asks you to provide healthy and nutritious snacks for your child to eat at kindy," the note read. "The sultanas (golden raisins) packed for your child today are unacceptable at kindy due to its high sugar content."

Many parents are shocked at this school's response to the lunch, but nobody is as surprised as the mom who received the note. "This must be a joke? Of course they are high in sugar, they are fruit," she wrote in her Facebook post's caption, according to Kidspot. "Today's lunch consisted of a sandwich roll, two boiled eggs, an orange, kiwi fruit, and a handful of sultanas. She never has packaged food in her lunchbox or anything with refined sugar."

Kathryn Hawkins, a dietitian and mom, came to the parent's defense over this lunch shaming, which so many other well-intentioned moms and dads have faced recently, because she wants it to stop. "If your child enjoys sultanas and feels happy when eating them, then that is a great choice for them. If you are a busy working household and grabbing a box of sultanas for the lunchbox makes it a bit easier for you, then it is a great choice for you," she wrote on Facebook. "You DO NOT have to feel one bit guilty for putting a box of sultanas in your child's lunch and you DO NOT have to 'explain' why."

When You See the Flip-Flops Lily-Rose Depp Wore With Her Bikini, You'll Think "Hell, Yes!"

Eighteen-year-old model and Chanel muse Lily-Rose Depp has a rather relaxed everyday style. Even when she's showing off a cool It item, like a Chanel backpack, the rest of her ensemble is muted. Usually, Lily-Rose just sticks to jeans and a t-shirt. So we weren't really surprised to find that she chose such a classic bikini for a trip to Ré Island in France.

While she accessorized the olive string two-piece with luxurious essentials - a woven sun hat, teal scarf, and oversize tortoise sunglasses - look down at her shoes and the true tomboy comes out. Lily-Rose was wearing Nike Air Jordan slides, and it was awesome. Our favorite type of beach day is one that involves as little effort as possible, after all, and Lily-Rose's flat sandals helped her achieve that. Read on to zoom in on the details, then shop similar swimsuits and flip-flops too.

The Game of Thrones Night King Lip-Syncing to Drake in a Makeup Chair Is All of Us

The Night King is one fellow you do not want to cross - you don't even have to watch Game of Thrones to get that. You just have to look at him. Chills.

New footage, however, has made the leader of the army of White Walkers seem a lot less terrifying and a lot more . . . like you. A now-viral video shows the character in a makeup chair, bopping his head and listening to none other than Drake's "Passionfruit." The Night King is basically you getting ready to go out on a Saturday night. Warning: you're going to want to hit replay. Over and over again.

In reality, this isn't from the official Game of Thrones set, and The Night King is actually a she - YouTube sensation Lilly Singh, to be precise. In celebration of season seven, she created several Thrones videos, including, "If White Walkers Made a Rap Diss Track" (which is probably where the Drake clip happened).

Thank you, Lilly, for this internet gold.

This Black Hole GIF Is Utterly Mesmerizing

This might be just a simulation of two merging black holes, but it's still insane to look at. Uploaded on Reddit, the GIF made it to the front page and has collected more than 1,000 comments so far.

But as a commenter pointed out, it's actually the work of SXS, or Simulating eXtreme Spacetimes. This group of researchers from Caltech and Cornell University simulate extreme space times to better understand physics in the cosmos. They also produced a paper about the project called "What would a binary black hole merger look like?" and an accompanying video.

What, exactly, would happen if two black holes collided? They would probably merge to become one bigger black hole, but it would be extremely violent, producing enormous amounts of energy and sending gigantic ripples through the universe called gravitational waves. Amazing.

12 Things You Should Know Before Traveling Across the Country on Amtrak

I have always fantasized about traveling across the country by train, so when my boyfriend suggested that we take Amtrak from San Francisco to New York City, I was all in. There have been many conversations around the web about what it's really like to take Amtrak for long trips, so I want to give you the most accurate and true depiction.

We decided to get a roomette for the first and longest leg of our travel on the California Zephyr. We had the small room from Emeryville (the Amtrak station right outside of San Francisco) to Chicago for two days and two nights. After a seven-hour stop in Chicago, we rode the remaining 17 hours of our journey to NYC in coach seats. In total, our tickets for two people came out to $772. Not bad considering we were traveling for three and a half days and our meals were included with the roomette.

To get all the details on what it's like to sleep, eat, and basically live in an Amtrak train while chugging across America, keep reading. There are lots of interesting details that will take you by surprise.

When You See the Color of This Asian Bride's Fifth Wedding Dress, You'll Do a Double Take

When lifestyle writer Melissa C. Koh married James Chen at the Ritz Carlton in Millenia, Singapore, she brought along five wedding dresses for the occasion. But these weren't your standard gowns - they were all full-on princess looks, each design more dazzling than the one before.

While Melissa walked the aisle in a special Amanda Lee number with a folded tier skirt and veil (complete with some very special Tiffany & Co. jewels and Gianvito Rossi pumps, mind you), she coordinated her strapless cloud of a dress with a tiara for her first dance and later switched into a blue - yes, we said blue! - floor-sweeping sheath with floral appliqué and a cape train that seemed to go for miles.

Of course, her friends and family kept track of every look, documenting the majestic snaps on Instagram. Read on for a peek, and just wait until you see those confetti shots on the dance floor.

You'll Fall Truly, Madly, Deeply in Love With the Coat Olivia Palermo Designed For Banana Republic

Banana Republic just released a preview of Olivia Palermo's Fall 2017 capsule collection for the brand, and there's not much to say but, "We can't wait to see the rest." All of the pieces have clear military influence, including this long, red trench coat, which might just be our favorite item from the 70-piece range that retails from $48 to $998 (for a snakeskin jacket we still have yet to see). Olivia already wore the $148 off-the-shoulder shirt dress at the 2017 CFDA Awards, but clearly she pulls off the rest of the line with ease.

Read on to catch a glimpse of what we'll find when the full range (including accessories!) is debuted on Sept. 9 at the retailer's first-ever complete "see now, buy now" presentation. While last season Olivia showed off her collaboration at a pop-up during New York Fashion Week, we have a feeling the upcoming reveal will be far more exciting. Read on to create your own wish list.

5 Things We Know About 13 Reasons Why Season 2

Before Netflix could even announce whether a second season of 13 Reasons Why was a possibility, viewers divided themselves into two camps: those who want more episodes and those who absolutely do not. Well, season two is coming (production started earlier this Summer), and we already have several key details. Of course, more solid information will trickle in over the next few months, but we're at a good starting place. Here's what we know!

1. The Plot

Before the renewal was finalized, we had a few creative theories about how Netflix could continue Hannah's story . . . it sounds like we're mostly wrong, though. Netflix's official statement says that season two "picks up in the aftermath of Hannah Baker's (Katherine Langford) death and the start of the characters' complicated journeys toward healing and recovery." Healing and recovery sounds great, but remember how season one ends? There's potential for a whole lot more damage.

Creator Brian Yorkey confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that "it's safe to say we pick up a number of months after the first season ended." He also said Hannah will be back, as the writers will again be weaving the past with the present, that we'll see more of Jessica's story, and that a different person will serve as the narrator. Netflix confirmed all this (and more) with a tweet:

While speaking at Netflix's 13 Reasons Why FYC event in Beverly Hills in June, Yorkey added that the focus of the second season will pivot to the other characters. "Hannah told her version of events, but there are at least 12 kids who have another version of those events that we actually haven't really heard from yet," he said. "I don't think Hannah told any untruths on her tape. She reclaimed her narrative, which had really been taken from her."

2. The Teaser

The 21-second clip doesn't include any of the main actors, but it does focus on the locations we see in the first season. Liberty High School, The Crestmont, and Baker's Drug Store all flash on screen, meaning we'll probably be revisiting all these places.

3. Who Is Involved?

Creator Brian Yorkey is returning, but we don't yet know if author Jay Asher is helping write the new batch of episodes. In fact, Asher's recent Tweet seems to imply that he won't be involved: "My confident excitement for @13ReasonsWhy Season 2 rests in Brian Yorkey and the mind meld we performed a couple years ago. (And that cast!)" Selena Gomez posted the season two teaser on Instagram, so we can assume she's continuing on as an executive producer. As for the cast, all of season one's core actors are returning, and Variety recently revealed the names and characters of seven newcomers.

4. What the Cast Has Said

The cast have posted about their excitement for a second season via Twitter and Instagram, but they've remained tight-lipped about what season two could hold. Star Katherine Langford did speak to what she hopes will happen during a red carpet interview with E! News on May 7: "Personally, I would be interested to see more discussion into what's happening afterwards," she said. "It's interesting in the first season we get to see what the characters go through post-Hannah's death. I think Jessica [Alisha Boe] has a really interesting story to tell - and recovery to make."

Dylan Minnette, who plays Clay Jensen, also told Us Weekly that his character faces "a long, long, long journey for him to find complete closure" in season two, and that fans "will also be surprised by where he ends up, because I'm also trying to figure it out myself right now." Clay's love for Hannah was a huge aspect of season one, but Minnette said Clay could potentially fall for someone new, adding, "I don't know if there's a new love [interest]. We'll just have to see."

5. The Premiere Date

Netflix confirmed that the second season will consist of another 13 episodes, which will stream on the site in 2018.
