Is Sprouted Bread Actually Healthier For You? Here's What a Dietitian Has to Say

Whether it's avocado toast or a classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich, bread makes its way into our lives on a regular basis. We know that whole-grain bread is always a healthier choice than white bread, and we know we should look for high fiber content in the bread we eat.

What about sprouted bread, though? Is that a healthier choice as well? Or just a load of rubbish?

First of all, let's talk about what sprouted bread actually is: it's made when wheat kernels have been soaked and sprouted, then ground and baked into a loaf of bread. This is different from regular whole-wheat bread, where the wheat kernels are ground just the way they are.

Sprouted bread is said to be more nutritious, and Julieanna Hever, certified plant-based dietitian, confirmed this is true. "Some of the nutrients are retained and better absorbed when sprouted as opposed to a further processed bread," Hever told POPSUGAR. "Nutrients may be more readily absorbed in the body when they are sprouted prior to consumption."

When you sprout grains, you eliminate phytic acid, an enzyme inhibitor that isn't easily processed by the body. That's why sprouted bread is said to be easier on the digestive system.

If you're sensitive to gluten, sprouted bread might be a good choice for you. Although it's not entirely void of gluten, it does contain less gluten than your average wheat bread. Additionally, sprouted bread contains more protein, as well as less fat and carbohydrates than the other stuff you find in the bread aisle.

"I recommend opting for sprouted food products whenever possible and to even attempt sprouting at home," Hever told POPSUGAR. "Eating sprouts is an extraordinarily nutrient-dense and health-promoting addition to anyone's diet."

Worried about whether sprouted bread will taste good? Silver Hills is a great place to start. Its breads taste so delicious, you won't even know the difference. Food For Life is another yummy brand that makes the perfect base for your beloved avocado toast. It doesn't take long to fall in love with the nutty, rich taste of sprouted bread. You may never go back.

13 Spellbinding Photos of Gorgeous People With Albinism

Israel-based photographer Yulia Taits is back with the second iteration of her Porcelain Beauty series, featuring people with Albinism. In case you are not familiar with it, people with albinism are born with the complete or partial absence of pigment in the skin, hair, and eyes. And as Taits's photos prove, it can look absolutely gorgeous.

Her goal was to spotlight their hypnotic beauty, which she described on her Facebook page as seemingly like it was "taken from fantasies and fairy tale legends." Albinism can also cause vision defects, so we don't want to downplay that there are serious side affects. That said, we will always celebrate uniqueness at POPSUGAR.

We asked Taits why she decided to do a second round of images. "This project went viral in few days, and I was amazed how many positive feedback it got from people around the world," she told POPSUGAR via email. "What's really melted my heart was the feedback from people with albinism and their parents. They said how they appreciate my art and how this project make people with albinism feel beautiful and confident in the way they are. That's the main reason I decided to create second part of this project with new models."

Major props to Taits for showing how ethereal this condition can be and helping to empower those in its community. Keep reading to see the images from her new series!

Enough With the Toxic Nail Polish - These Are the Best Safe Brands

Nail polish has always stunk. It was a fact we all grew up with. But the irritants in polish go far beyond just smelling poorly. Things like toluene, a chemical that's connected to reproductive abnormalities; formaldehyde, a potentially cancer-causing carcinogen; and dibutyl phthalate (DBP), which is banned in Europe because it can cause reproductive challenges, have long been ingredients we've been using to paint our nails. But with the uptick of brands paying closer attention to toxicity levels in products, there are now many safe polishes to choose from. See how they stack up.

After This Tweet, We'd Bet Ben Carson Regrets His Statements About Poverty

Once Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson made several tone-deaf statements about poverty on a May 24 Sirius XM radio broadcast, the folks at Dictionary.com decided to use something inarguable - the basics of the English language - to refute his claims.

"I think poverty to a large extent is also a state of mind," Dr. Carson told friend and radio host Armstrong Williams. "You take somebody that has the right mindset, you can take everything from them and put them on the street, and I guarantee in a little while they'll be right back up there." Carson, whose job - among other things - is meant to focus on providing affordable housing and resources for impoverished Americans, quickly caught attention on social media for this sweeping generalization.

That's where the dictionary comes in. In response to Carson's interpretation of poverty, Dictionary.com tweeted the actual definition of the word.

One of these things is not like the other! Perhaps with a bit of linguistic research, Dr. Carson may come away with a more empathetic attitude toward marginalized communities. As somebody who grew up in poverty, one would expect that the secretary would entertain the idea that not every problem can be solved with a can-do attitude, even if his own story turned out successfully. At any rate, he's surely regretting his poor choice of words - there's no arguing with the dictionary.

If You Thought Your Quinceañera Was Lavish, Wait Until You See This Teen's Insane Party

1 Dad's Response to His Kid Spilling a Slushy at Target Is "Parenting Done Right"

Sometimes when your kid makes a mess, it can be particularly overwhelming, especially if you're in a public place. But one dad didn't let the stress get to him when his son spilled a slushy all over the floor in Target. And one mom was so impressed with how he handled the situation, she posted about what happened on Facebook.

Facebook user Kalynne Marie said that although the 6- or 7-year-old boy made a mess of epic proportion - "I'm talking blue and red goop all over the floor, the table, everywhere" - his father definitely kept his cool.

After the boy immediately apologized, his father took the accident as an opportunity to teach his son, rather than getting angry.

"Hey, it happens, let's go get napkins and I can show you how to clean it up," the father said.

According to the nearby mom, the pair went to get napkins and began cleaning up the mess and had a conversation parents everywhere should jot down.

Kalynne wrote that as they were throwing the napkins away, the father said to his son, "You're going to be a human being for a long time, and you have such a smart brain that it's important you learn how to be more aware of what you're doing. So next time just be sure to pay more attention to your surroundings so accidents like this don't happen. Accidents like these can be prevented, but it's still okay if they happen. As long as you take responsibility for your mistakes, the clean up is a breeze."

Talk about a little patience going a long way, right?

This Is What Stay-At-Home-Moms Actually Do - For the Men Who Just Don't Get It

Kristy is sick of people, especially partners, assuming that being a stay-at-home mom means that you actually sit at home all day. This mom is fed up with the assumption that because you don't work in an office that means your house is never a mess and if it is, it's because you did "absolutely nothing" all day.

According to Kristy, any spouse or friend who has ever had this thought is overlooking one tiny detail about any stay-at-home mom's day:

There is a human or humans that she is in charge of and responsible for meeting their every need, want, desire, and more. They forget that she does clean, only to have the kid projectile vomit all over the floor she just mopped. That she finished the dishes from last night's dinner only to have it fill up with breakfast and lunch dishes. That she picks up all the toys during their nap time only to have even more toys scattered everywhere when they awake. That she didn't even have time to enjoy a hot meal that day let alone sit down all day eating those magical bon bons people keep referring to. That if she is sitting down for longer than fifteen minutes there is a 99 percent possibility it's because she has a baby attached to her boob, so there is not much else she could or even should be doing in those moments.

For the partners coming home after a long day of work, Kristy urged them in her post to Facebook to understand where the mother of their children is coming from when she sees you.

"She craves even just five precious minutes to herself where she can get her head on straight, [but has] to fantasize about it instead," she wrote. "She is envious of her partner's thirty minute commute to and from work to be alone listening to a great audiobook or something other than 'The Wheels on the Bus.' She counts down the minutes until her partner gets home so she could have someone to talk to that doesn't say 'Goo goo ga ga' back. She wants, no in fact she needs, to hear the every detail of your day, no matter how small."

For any dad who is sadly mistaken about how his wife is spending her time, Kristy urges them to understand that there are most likely days that she wishes she could trade places with you.

So the next time you see the house is not so tidy and she only seemed to have the energy to cook a frozen meal that night, just look at the kids and remember she is their whole world, so every part of the house you feel she neglected went to keeping those tiny humans loved, fed, and happy instead. Give her a kiss and ask what can you do FOR her, even though you're tired and were working all day, she worked too, but she didn't get three required breaks and that commute to and from work like you do. She worked hard, even if you can't tell she did. Just look at the beautiful smiles on your kids. Instead of keeping tabs on what she didn't get done, because nine times out of ten, she has neglected herself most of all.

These Photos Perfectly Depict What Parenting Really Looks Like

Life's not quite as picturesque as Instagram pictures make it look. Kids don't smile when you ask them to, family rooms aren't spotless and clutter-free, and moms don't always have it all together. That's why Danielle Guenther's Best Case Scenario series of photographs speaks so well to parents. The Hoboken, NJ-based family photographer has taken to adding some real-life (though somewhat exaggerated) photos into her mix, and the results are hysterical.

"I have a regular client that I photograph, and I was over at her house," Guenther explains. "It was at the end of the session, and the mom, [who] is always a total blast, just laid down on the couch, and I [said] we should do a funny one. She has a wonderful sense of humor, [and] she was all about it! And then it just spiraled out of control in a really great way."

From that single "Parenting Is Exhausting . . ." photo, a series was born. There are currently 13 pictures in the series - including "Fully Loaded" (above) - most of which are inspired by Guenther's 5-1/2-year-old son.

"A lot of these ideas you think back to when he was a baby," she explains. "The 'Hold On a Sec . . ." photo where they're crossing the street. Mothers are always doing everything with crap all over their strollers, picking up the dry-cleaning. That's the scenario: you running errands and your husband holding up his finger - hold on a second; I've got to check the score. That's life; that's how it is!"

Guenther is not inspired by the perfection that is so prevalent on social photo sharing sites like Instagram. Rather, she's inspired by the truth that is parenting. "This is real, this is life, this is parenting. Parenting is so ugly, but there are moments that are so beautiful. Just when you think you have it under control and you're like, 'Oh, yeah, this is great. My kid's using his manners,' they slam the door in your face and they scream at you! But nothing in life is perfect."

She will continue her photojournalistic-style family portraiture, but it is these stylized photos that really motivate her these days. "I want to know what's going on before you got to the shoot. I want to know what goes on at home, behind closed doors. If you can find a funny take on life, you're ahead of the game."

Read on to see Danielle Guenther's full Best Case Scenario series.

Teacher's Note Giving Extra Homework Is Going Viral For All the Right Reasons

Although we saw some teachers move toward "no homework" policies this year (as well as parents who decided for themselves that their kids are "done" with homework), one head teacher in England sent a note home giving his students extra homework - right before a testing period, no less. Eliza Lawson, whose son Josh is in year six at Marden Bridge Middle School in the UK, posted a photo of the note to Facebook that's going viral for all the right reasons.

"Dear Pupil," starts Mr. Newport's note to his 10- and 11-year-old students. "You have done brilliantly in the build up to the SATs, well done. We have some extra homework for you! Please read below and see how many of these activities you can tick off."

However, rather than give actual homework to his likely stressed students on top of their impending statutory exams, he "assigned" them a list of fun weekend activities to complete in order to help them unwind and decompress before their tests, such as scooter riding and laughing "until your tummy hurts."

The caring teacher signed off his note by reminding his pupils that if they feel they absolutely have to study, he wanted them to revise for no more than an hour total over the course of the weekend. "Remember," he wrote. "Mr. Newport is in charge of worrying - you don't need to. You are amazing and I could not be more proud of you."

The note, which was sent home and posted to social media by Lawson on May 5, is being shared all over Facebook to spread the message that there are teachers out there who go above and beyond for their students. Lawson wrote: "Let's all share this and show Marden Bridge and Mr. Newport how much we value teachers that see our children as growing people, not numbers on a page!"

It's been eight years since the release of (500) Days of Summer, but time hasn't lessened our love for this movie. It's a romantic comedy without the conventional happy ending, and it made us all sit up and realize that Joseph Gordon-Levitt might be the big screen's most adorable leading man. Since it's Summer, we're looking back at the reasons we all can't get over this movie the way Tom just can't get over Summer. (Note: this is best read with "Sweet Disposition" playing.)

20 Memorable Movies About Female Friendship

The female friendship movie is a totally different animal than the romantic comedy, and yet they often get lumped together under one big "chick flick" banner. Kesha's Rainbow Is Full of Bangers and Hymns, and It May Be the Most Important Album of the Year

Kesha's legal battle didn't just capture headlines and our collective attention as she fought to be released by her label to avoid working with the man who had allegedly sexually assaulted her. It threatened to define her - and overshadow her career. Now, despite the legal setbacks in her case, Kesha has earned an incredible triumph with the release of her new album, Rainbow. It's officially Kesha's third studio album, but there's something so phoenix-like about it; this is the Kesha we know, and yet it's a side we hadn't necessarily seen this clearly yet, at least musically.

With Rainbow, the talented songwriter has possibly delivered the album of her career with tracks that are vulnerable, honest, cathartic, and yes, total bangers. The range and variety of the tracks are impressive, but even more so is the fact that it's still a completely cohesive album. But enough about how incredible the album is on the whole - let's talk about which songs truly make Rainbow one of 2017's best albums.

"Bastards"

"Don't let the bastards get you down," Kesha sings, as much for you as for herself. The opening track is a low-key f*ck you anthem and reminder to keep your head up. It's the perfect way to kick off this collection of her work.

"Hymn"

Another song that offers comfort and camaraderie, "Hymn," rallies the hopeless to become hopeful - and with Kesha's raw vocals (and bangin' chorus), it succeeds.

"Praying"

Kesha's first single off of Rainbow may be the most direct missive about her very public personal struggle with Dr. Luke. Even without context, this song is a goosebump-inciting, satisfying ballad that you have to turn all the way up.

"Woman"

You don't have to be a "motherf*ckin' WOMAN" to love this song, but goddamn, if you are, this is your new mantra. It's powerful, rocking, and so much fun, and if you're like me, you haven't been able to stop playing it since the single came out.

"Rainbow"

Kesha's title track has a lot to live up to, and it does. Neither the album's loudest roar (that'd be "Woman") nor the most mournful exhale (that's "Praying"), it instead has its own subtle beauty. It's stunning without being too showy.

"Godzilla"

Accompanied by just a guitar, Kesha takes a metaphor that's almost silly and makes it a brilliantly searing satire (that's also really fun to sing along to).

"Spaceship"

The final track has old-school country twang with old-school country heartbreak behind it. She's given us everything with this album, she seems to say, but also communicates that the more we take, the more she grows.

The Best Recipes That Start With a Can of Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce

Adobo can mean lots of different things - in Filipino cuisine, for example, it's a stew dish made of chicken, meat, or fish - but to Latinos everywhere, the word conjures a more clear and conclusive idea: either a garlicky all-purpose spice powder seasoning (Goya, anyone?) or the tomato, vinegar, and garlic sauce marinade that comes in a can of chipotle chilies. Either version is incredibly versatile, making any dish more flavorful and spicy. But nothing really beats the convenience of the can of peppers in adobo.

It's the spookiest month of the year, and you know what that means! It's time to figure out whether you believe in curses or simply unfortunate coincidences. A reboot of the classic 1982 horror film Poltergeist came out in 2015, but let's be honest: nothing could compare to the original. While no horrific accidents occurred on the set of the new film (that we know of, anyway), the release reminded us of the rumors of a curse on the original film trilogy's cast. The movie revolves around a suburban family who move into a new home and begin to notice strange things surrounding their young daughter. Take a look below to find out about the mysterious events that have made people speculate that Poltergeist may be the most cursed franchise in Hollywood.

The Whole Ordeal Began With Human Skeletons

One of the most famous scenes features JoBeth Williams's character, Diane, falling into the family's pool, and it's filled with skeletons. You might not know that those skeletons are actually real - the actors sure didn't. "In my innocence and naiveté, I assumed that these were not real skeletons," Williams said in an interview for TV Land (below). "I assumed that they were prop skeletons made out of plastic or rubber . . . I found out, as did the crew, that they were using real skeletons, because it's far too expensive to make fake skeletons out of rubber."

Months After the Release of the First Film, a Star Was Murdered

Poltergeist was released in June 1982, and in November of that year, 22-year-old Dominique Dunne, who played Dana (the family's older daughter), was murdered. Dunne was brutally strangled in her own driveway by her abusive ex-boyfriend and was removed from life support five days later.

An Exorcism Was Performed on the Set of the Sequel

Concerned about the use of real skeletons on the set of the first film, Native American actor and Poltergeist II: The Other Side star Will Sampson performed an exorcism on the set of the second film in 1984. According to Williams, he went to the set late at night by himself to do it. The next day, the cast supposedly felt relieved.

Two More Cast Members Died Within a Couple Years of the Sequel

Julian Beck, who starred as Kane in Poltergeist II: The Other Side, died of stomach cancer at age 60. He was diagnosed before he accepted the role, and he passed away in September 1985, months before the film even came out in theaters. In June 1987, Will Sampson, the actor who performed the exorcism, died of malnutrition and postoperative kidney failure at age 53. While their deaths may not seem so unusual, some fans still believe they're connected to the curse.

Poltergeist's Young Star Died at 12

The untimely passing of Poltergeist's iconic young star is perhaps the most convincing case for a curse. Heather O'Rourke (aka Carol Anne, who said the famous line, "They're heeere") was incredibly young when she died of cardiac arrest and septic shock caused by a misdiagnosed intestinal issue. She died in February 1988 at 12, several months before the release of Poltergeist III, the final chapter in the original series.

One Cast Member Barely Escaped Death

Richard Lawson was aboard USAir Flight 405 when it crashed into Flushing Bay in March 1992. A total of 27 people (out of the 51 on board) were killed. Lawson survived, but the event is yet another reason people claim the movie is cursed.

In 2009, a Cast Member Was Brutally Murdered

Lou Perryman played the small role of Pugsley in the original film. He was 67 years old when a recently released ex-convict killed him in his own home with an ax.

What do you think - is it a curse, or simply a series of terrible events?

20 Songs You Adored From the Original Dirty Dancing Soundtrack

Dirty Dancing is more than the story of one girl's sexual awakening over a sweaty Summer in the Catskills; it's a rollicking good time filled with hits from the '60s. While ABC has remade the movie and replaced nearly all the songs with modern covers, we'll always be partial to the original soundtrack. It features Frankie Valli, The Ronnettes, Otis Redding, The Drifters, and more. Of course, the crown jewel of the collection is "(I've Had) The Time of My Life." Listen to all the songs below, and flash back to the first time you ever saw Baby carry that watermelon.

How Bachelor in Paradise Has Handled the Corinne/DeMario Situation So Far

In true Chris Harrison form, he says in the very first episode of Bachelor in Paradise that it is the most dramatic season yet - and we actually believe him! This is the fourth go around of show that brings together former contestants of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette who didn't find love the first time. The news broke that production was halted after "allegations of misconduct" came about involving Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson. Now that the first episode of the two-night season premiere has aired, here's what we know so far.

After a "very special episode" introduction from Harrison (complete with voice clips of various news outlets reporting on the news), the show begins as usual. DeMario shows up in paradise and the group, specifically Raven Gates, gave him a hard time about going into the most recent Bachelorette's season with a girlfriend. When Corinne shows up, she's her usual flirty self that we got to know to her be on Nick Viall's season. The two get to talking . . . and drinking . . . and flirting . . . and suddenly they jump in the pool with their clothes on!

The next morning, Corinne and DeMario are sitting with other singles eating breakfast and everything looks normal. Fast forward to that evening and everyone is off talking before the rose ceremony, notably the first season where women get to hand out the roses the first week. Now the strange thing here is that we see Corinne and Vinny Ventiera (who was on last BIP season) talking, and she tells him that she's giving him her rose. Based on the episode, Corinne spent most of her time with DeMario, so it seems off that she wouldn't give it to him.

DeMario is walking on the beach with Alexis Waters (known for her shark costume) when a producer says that he needs to talk to DeMario alone. The rest of the cast members can tell that something is going on and one even asks where Corinne is. Then, the cameras are turned off.

A sneak peek into the second episode of the two-night premiere shows "the bachelors and bachelorettes return to Mexico." Chris Harrison is talking to the group and asks if they want to be there. Neither Corinne and DeMario are in sight.

We already have pretty good insight on what happens in paradise that caused the filming suspension, and although we know that it started up again, it'll be interesting to see how it plays out on camera.

Game of Thrones: Tyrion Didn't Kill Joffrey, So Why Does Jaime Still Hate Him?

There's a tense meeting on the latest Game of Thrones when Tyrion enlists his friend Bronn to trick his brother Jaime into meeting with Tyrion below the Red Keep.

"I once told Bronn if I ever saw you again I'd cut you in half," Jaime spits at his brother. He can barely contain his animosity toward the younger Lannister - and this is after he found out Tyrion hadn't killed Joffrey, so why the cold shoulder? Because Tyrion killed their father, Tywin Lannister.

As Tyrion explains, back in season four, Tywin is out for revenge after Joffrey dies of poisoning at his own wedding. Cersei, Tywin, and pretty much everyone but Jaime thinks Tyrion and Sansa Stark had worked together on the assassination plot, but they hadn't. It was in fact Olenna Tyrell and Littlefinger. But there's no reasoning with Cersei or Tywin, who pass judgment on Tyrion and throw him in a cell to await execution.

But it didn't really have anything to do with Joffrey's death, not for Tywin anyway. That was simply the patriarch's excuse to kill his dwarf son.

"He was going to execute me. He knew I was innocent. He didn't hate me because of anything I did, he hated me because of what I am - a little monster sent to punish him," Tyrion says to Jaime, and Jaime knows Tyrion is right. But Jaime still can't get over the fact that after he helps Tyrion make his escape from King's Landing, Tyrion kills their father with a crossbow anyway.

Jaime has always trusted Tyrion, always stood up for him, ever since they were children. He defends his younger brother to Cersei all the time, so he feels immensely betrayed that Tyrion would kill Tywin, even if Tyrion was acting in self-preservation. In fact, Jaime actually blames himself for Tywin's death because he set Tyrion free, something Cersei also blames him for.

You can tell there is still some love there between the brothers, though, because Jaime tells Cersei it wasn't Tyrion who killed their son, it was Olenna. Jaime also urges Cersei to have the meeting with Daenerys that Tyrion requests because he obviously still trusts his brother.

She eventually agrees to the meeting, but not out of any sisterly affection or even pragmatism against the Night's King and his army. No, Cersei is always going to be Tywin's daughter to the core, and she agrees to the meeting in order to try to kill her enemies, i.e. Tyrion and Daenerys.

A popular theory is that Jaime will end up having to kill Cersei this season, and we are willing to bet it will happening defending Tyrion, even if Cersei is now pregnant. The Lannisters are a messy house, indeed.

Mom's Message to the Woman Who Judged Her Postpartum Body at Target

When Kelly Howland was shopping at Target with her "obviously fresh" newborn, a stranger approached. The woman began chatting about how cute her little one is and asking how old she is. But after their harmless banter, Kelly explained that this person completely crossed the line.

"I'm a brand new postpartum mom," Kelly wrote on Facebook, explaining that there was no way this woman didn't realize that she had very recently given birth. "And then she asks The Question: 'Have you heard of It Works before?' I tell her that I know what it is but I've never utilized it. She proceeds with artificial shock and surprise and gives me her card and her spiel."

It Works is a skin and nutrition company that sells products they promise "will change your life," but for this new mom, her life is pretty great and the last thing she wanted was a stranger at Target implying that she needed to do something about the way she looks. "Listen. I'm not upset this company exists. And I'm not even upset at this woman because she could be absolutely charming and just trying to hustle her own living and I have respect for a woman with guts to do that," she wrote. "But let's not pretend that approaching me specifically was a coincidence."

As Kelly explained, it's not like this stranger approached every woman that she came across at Target and it wasn't a coincidence that she tried to sell her these products.

But she did come to me - with my baby billboard of being brand new postpartum. We all know that this culture hammers into postpartum women a lot of physical insecurity about their bodies after delivering their miracles from their wombs. I don't think I have to spell out for a single woman the cultural pressure that postpartum mothers face regarding their physical appearance. We know. We all know. She knew. And that's why she approached me.

Instead of perpetuating this pressure, Kelly is pleading others to stop with the impossible expectations that she believes are keeping insecurities alive in new moms regarding their postpartum bodies. "Instead of leaning into superficial ideals imposed upon us, can we PLEASE start bucking the system and instead start praising each other for being the amazing, life giving, creation birthing vessels that we are?" she wrote. "Can we just offer each other adoration of the amazing things that we've accomplished and see our physical changes as marks of phenomenal accomplishment that only our sex has the privilege of experiencing?"

To the woman who approached her and anyone else who thinks that she should be embarrassed instead proud of the ways her body has changed, Kelly has an important message: "My body doesn't need to be wrapped or squeezed or changed. It needs to be valued and revered for the incredible life it just brought into this world. THAT is beauty and THAT is all it needs."

No Surprise Here - Cindy Crawford's Malibu Home Is as Stunning as She Is

Cindy Crawford became an iconic supermodel thanks to her classic beauty, but today we learned that she has a classically beautiful home, too! In a new 73 Questions interview video with Vogue, Crawford gives a tour of her beachfront Malibu, CA, abode, and to call it stunning would be an understatement. Not only does the home have a perfect view of the water, but it also perfectly represents everything that Crawford embodies: understated elegance, refined features, and a few hints of her fun personality. Check out some of our biggest decor takeaways from the video, then watch the full interview beneath!

Some of the most notable decor features: Crawford's home has aged iron fixtures, extrawide doorways, dark wood accents, and white walls.

The most sentimental piece of decor: She displays framed artwork from her two kids in the kitchen.

What's in her kitchen? Crawford has a simple white kitchen with warm wood floors, a wood-topped island, professional-grade stainless steel appliances, and plain white dishes.

Something fans can replicate in their own homes: Crawford uses an unfinished wood breakfast tray and a wicker coffee carafe for entertaining.

A pleasant memory from the Crawford-Gerber home: Cindy's husband once snuck a grand piano into their house on Christmas morning.

How Cindy's family enjoys the outdoors: An outdoor firepit overlooking the ocean, surrounded by ocean-blue furniture to complement the outdoor living area. There's also an infinity pool and a round jacuzzi directly overlooking the ocean!

How she brings the outside in: Lots of potted plants all over the home, along with several floor-to-ceiling windows facing the ocean.

How does Crawford decorate her personal office space? During the video, you can see a camel-colored leather office chair, gold-framed photos from her modeling career in a gallery wall, a clear glass and warm wood desk, and some white built-in shelving.

How to describe her decor style: Crawford has a very classic interior design style, with nothing exceptionally trendy overwhelming the home - she used mostly neutral tones and dark wood and knows how to choose well-placed beams and solid-looking furniture.

Our favorite feature of the home: Either the wood-planked walkway up to front door with modern pond water fixtures on either side or the well-stocked bar in the living area.

Even If You Don't Know What Phubbing Is, You're Probably Doing It

We see the pictures on Instagram all the time - you know, the ones documenting our latest meal and what we were doing on a certain day. Of course, what we forget is that we most likely took those photos in the presence of someone else, prioritizing our phone over spending time with them. Turns out that "phubbing," the term for someone who phone snubs you, can hurt your relationship, according to a study.

To begin, researchers at Baylor University surveyed 308 adults to develop a "Partner Phubbing Scale," which was made up of nine items that people in relationships said about their partner's smartphone use. This included actions we do all the time like placing our phone face up on a table or checking our phone if the conversation comes to a dead end. The second survey quantified these actions and found of the 145 adults surveyed, 46.3 percent said their significant other "phubbed" them. Though most of us would think that's fine as long as we're not on our phone for too long, it might not be since 36.6 percent said "phubbing" depressed them. And if that wasn't awful enough, 22.6 percent said it led to issues in their relationship.

"When you think about the results, they are astounding," said Dr. James A. Roberts, professor of marketing and lead researcher on the study, in a press release. "Something as common as cellphone use can undermine the bedrock of our happiness - our relationships with our romantic partners."

Yikes, guess we all definitely need to take a break from our phones every once in a while. Trust us, it's not as hard as you think it is, and hey, it could end up saving your relationship.

How to Spend $0 on a Bridesmaid Dress

When I look back at my 20s, I'll remember the event that swung through my life the most during those years - weddings. But aside from remembering the awkward dance moves I'd bust out when the wedding band played a Bruno Mars song, I will remember how almost all of my disposable income went toward one thing, and one thing only: bridesmaid dresses.

When I clean out my tiny New York City closet, which I do only once or twice a year, I always find a pile of old bridesmaid dresses that I'm too attached to and can't seem to get rid of. It's not that those dresses breathe memories of some of the greatest nights of my life or the dresses are so gorgeous they should be displayed in a museum and admired by strangers from around the world. It's because, to me, they are what I spent all of my money on.

I don't have a 401K, a savings account with more than four digits in it, or stocks. But I do have a closet filled with bridesmaid dresses that cost between $160-$350 apiece. I learned, the expensive way, that bridesmaid dresses don't have to cost a couple of hundred - they can cost zero dollars. Here are five ways to make that happen.

1. Borrow Your Dress

You may wonder who in the world has the exact bridesmaid dress you need, in the right color, the right size, and the right style, but you would be surprised. There are a couple of main designers that a lot of brides choose when selecting their bridesmaid dresses. You can ask around your immediate friend group to see if they have the dress or even post it on social media.

2. Rent Your Dress

Thankfully there are bridesmaid dress companies now that let you rent the dress from them. This will cost you a little more than $0 - but it's a better option than buying the dress new for a couple hundred dollars.

3. Wear Something You Already Have

Speak with the bride early on and see if she's open to letting the bridal party wear a dress of a certain color that they already have. That way, you can grab something from your closet and don't have to worry about spending a dime on a dress or alterations.

4. Sell Your Dress After the Wedding

So let's say you do have to buy the bridesmaid dress and the dress costs you a couple hundred dollars - don't think that after the wedding, there's no way to get your money back. Instead of having the dress crumpled up in the back of your closet or underneath your bed, there are websites and companies that will buy your used bridesmaid dress. This is a great way to earn back some of that cash or make all of your money back.

5. Get Involved in the Bridesmaid Dress Process

When the bride is starting to decide what dress she'd like all her bridesmaids to wear, jump in and ask if you can help her make that decision. This is a good way to keep the cost low, or even the right time and place to ask her if the bridesmaids can just wear a dress they already have.
