Don't Freak Out, but Taylor Swift Might Have Released a New Song
Ready or not, here comes new Taylor Swift music. More than a week after releasing her first single "Look What You Made Me Do" from her sixth album Reputation, the singer posted a cryptic Instagram story on Saturday telling fans to tune into ABC at 8pm ET for the Alabama vs. Florida State game. Like humble Swifties, that's exactly what we did, and we were not disappointed.
During one of the commercial breaks for the football game, we got a sneak peek at what appears to be her second single, "Ready For It." Not only did ESPN and ABC Network release the tidbit on social media, but Swift also shared it on her Instagram story. This could explain why the duration for track one on Reputation mysteriously appeared on iTunes this weekend. If you need us, we'll just be playing this video on repeat waiting for the full song.
Are you #readyforit?
No. 1 Alabama. No. 3 Florida State. Right NOW on ABC and streaming live on the ESPN App. http://pic.twitter.com/pojroWJRHL- ESPN (@espn) September 3, 2017

3 Reasons "Polite Persistence" Will Get You Hired
When your interview ends, the process is NOT over yet. How you follow up afterward can have an impact on whether or not you get the job. There's a way to be assertive without being pushy, and Fred Goff, CEO of job-seeking website Jobcase, says the key to following up (and getting the job!) is "polite persistence." Here's how to be a successful job seeker without being a job stalker.
1. Follow up on the résumé you sent in.
When you send in an application or résumé, follow up the next day to make sure it was received. Many employers ask that you don't call, so a follow-up email is often your best bet. However, if the hiring manager/company does accept calls, then following up with a brief call after sending in your application can also be a good way to get remembered. "Somewhere between one day and one week later," Goff said, "call to ask if you are being considered for the role and, if so, when you might expect to come in to meet the hiring manager."
2. Say thank you (a lot)!
If you get an in-person interview, make sure to follow up with a thank you! Don't overdo it - it can come off as fake flattery or kissing up. But a genuine show of appreciation for someone's time can go a long way. "Send a thank-you note for their time and consideration," Goff said. "Include something from the meeting that convinced you that you will be right for the role (this shows you listened, and reminds them who you are - if they are interviewing a lot of people this could be important!). Don't leave anyone out - thank EVERYONE you meet! It can't hurt."
3. Follow up again if you don't hear back after your interview.
Follow up after your interview, and if you still don't hear back, follow up again. Be assertive, but polite! "Oftentimes the persistence becomes a key factor in getting the job," Goff said. "Polite persistence wins the day! If you are rejected, be sure to still thank the employer for their time. Why thank the rejection? Because chances are they will hire again, and you just put yourself back in consideration!"
These Are All the Diets I Tried - and Gladly Broke Up With
I've always been an all-or-nothing kind of person. If I'm going to try a new workout, I go all in from the very beginning and probably do it every day for the first few weeks so I can get the hang of it. The same goes for diets. I've tried many different diets over the years, sometimes in the name of weight loss, other times in the search for more energy and less bloating. None of them worked in the long run for me - and trust me, I tried my very best to make them work.
Today I eat a strictly plant-based vegan diet. Personally, I think it's misleading to call it a diet, since it feels more like a lifestyle to me. I don't eat any animal products, refined sugar, or processed foods, and every morning I wake up feeling better than I ever did before I was vegan. Plus, it's extremely important to me to do my part in the fight against climate change and animal cruelty. I had a long, winding road that got me to full-time veganism, and along the way, these are the diets I tried (and strongly disliked) along the way.
Keep in mind that just because these diets didn't work for me, it doesn't mean they won't work for anyone else, including you. Everyone is different and will respond uniquely to dietary changes. As always, though, chat with your doctor before making any drastic changes in your lifestyle.
Paleo Diet
Two years of my life were devoted to going to CrossFit on the regular, so naturally I fell into the Paleo scene. When I first started eating Paleo, I could see a difference in my waistline pretty quickly. I shed a layer of fat within the first few weeks, which was probably due to the fact that I was no longer eating any bread, dairy, packaged foods, or sugar.
That being said, the Paleo high didn't last long. Because of all the meat I was eating (which was a lot of meat), I was experiencing constipation and frequent exhaustion. All the beef and chicken was weighing me down, and I didn't like the way it made me feel overall. Just as importantly, I didn't lose enough weight to make the whole thing worth it. After my waistline shrunk a little, I didn't see any significant changes. In fact, I was convinced that the excess amount of protein was doing me more harm than good.
5:2 Diet
You may have heard of intermittent fasting and its many benefits, which extend far beyond weight loss. The 5:2 Diet revolves around eating normally for five days each week and choose two nonconsecutive days where you abstain from eating. Sound miserable? It is - only at first, though. Technically, the 5:2 Diet states that a woman can eat around 400 calories of food on her fasting days. I chose to fast every Monday and Thursday, so I would eat a banana in the morning and a small portion of protein at night.
I'll admit that I was the thinnest I've ever been when I followed the 5:2 plan, which is exactly what happens when you restrict yourself from consuming calories. But the cost it came with simply wasn't worth it. On the two days I fasted, I was really tired and couldn't exercise - and call me crazy, but I'm the kind of person who loves to work out every day in some capacity. Eventually, my fatigue caught up to me and I transitioned into a 6:1 diet. It wasn't long before I returned back to a normal 7:0 program.
All in all, I can see how this diet improves digestion (I went to the bathroom like a champion every single morning) and promotes more self-control over your hunger urges, but the bottom line is that I love food and exercise, and I don't think I should sacrifice either.
Raw-Food Diet
After my first time going vegan in 2011, I dabbled in the raw-food diet, which is when you eat all your food raw, or cooked under 118 degrees Fahrenheit. This was by far the most time-consuming, most expensive diet I've ever done. More importantly, it made me feel crappy. I was bloated almost all the time, which is a common side effect of consuming a large amount of raw foods, so it became more uncomfortable than anything else.
Dukan Diet
I discovered the Dukan Diet when I was in my last year of college. Its method is designed by a French physician who claims that you can lose 10 pounds in the first week of the diet. My naive mind believed this wild claim, so I gave it a shot. The Dukan Diet is a high-protein, low-fat, and low-carb program that gives you 100 different foods to choose from, and you can eat as much as you want from that group. I didn't lose any weight even though I was fully dedicated to the program for six weeks, mostly because your body needs healthy fats in order to shed pounds. More than anything, I think I just really missed having a full, well-rounded meal.
The Petite Advantage Diet
I've always been insecure about my height (I'm 5'2"), and since I was a little girl, I dreamed about growing taller and having long legs and arms. So when I first read about the Petite Advantage Diet, I thought it was going to be my saving grace. Dietitian Jim Karas describes the diet this way: if you fill up a kiddie pool with the same amount of water as a regular pool, it will overflow; the same goes for short women. In other words, we need to eat much less than our taller friends if we want to lose weight.
The program has you eating 1,100 calories for two days, and then 1,400 calories the next day, and you continue forward with this rotation. For someone who works out as often as I do, this calorie restriction proved to be very difficult for me. On top of that, the Petite Advantage Diet relies heavily on simply counting calories, so there is little emphasis put on the quality of the calories you consume. That meant I could eat a packaged string cheese whenever I wanted or a frozen dinner as long as it didn't leave me in a surplus of calories.
It ultimately left me feeling sluggish, tired, and generally unhealthy, and although I lost a few pounds, it wasn't anything I would ever try again (or recommend to anyone).

- Not bad! Just a little watery.
- WOW. This is so good, I would drink this instead of Starbucks.
6 Podcasts That Will Put You Right to Sleep
There's a better method to catching some shut-eye than counting sheep. If that works for you, great! But if not, try adding a sleep-inducing podcast to your bedtime routine. Below are a mix of soothing sounds and stories and episodes focused on achieving an autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR), like spine-tingling, to choose from.
If you have trouble sleeping, keep in mind that a good night's rest can also be attainable by changing habits during the day. Fit in an exercise in the morning, for example, decompress before hitting the sheets, tune into a podcast, and you'll be asleep before you know it.
Check out six podcasts that are even better than a bedtime story.
- Sleep Whispers - The ASMR Podcast: ASMR artist Harris whispers the entire duration of the podcast, which is strangely relaxing. So far, he's whispered fairy tales, a "fade-to-sleep" session, and trivia.
- Sleep With Silk: There are five separate podcast series within Sleep With Silk, including Sleep With Nature Sounds, Sleep With Background Noise, and Sleep With Binaural Beats. Enjoy noises like howling with drizzling rain and a small fan blowing.
- Game of Drones: This Sleep With Me podcast series is narrated by a guy named Scooter who has the ability to make such an action-packed show like Game of Thrones sound incredibly boring. He recaps and analyzes every episode for about an hour and a half or more, but you'll be knocked out cold way before he's done.
- The Auracle - The ASMR Podcast: In this ASMR podcast, The Auracle guides you through a series of unintelligible whispers, cupping, tapping, and more. Her soothing voice layered on top of mouth sounds will have you drifting off in no time.
- Sleep and Relax ASMR: This podcast/YouTube channel offers whispered words, soothing narrations, and background noise and music to sleep to. Learn about Edgar Allan Poe's life in detail; listen to a train ride in Brussels, Belgium; and more.
- ASMR Sleep Station: Enjoy boring commentary on random subjects, technical reading, white noises, and whispers. The Sleep Station features a variety of sleep-inducing options, each episode running for about 30 minutes to an hour.
I Added These 4 Things to My Salad and Now I'm Not Hungry Till Dinner
I was feeling proud of being so prepared, making five mason jar salads on Sunday, but as soon as I finished my last forkful of veggies at lunch on Monday, I was starving an hour later. Then I'd end up eating a huge snack that was as big as a second lunch. No wonder I wasn't losing weight!
A jar full of carrots, peppers, celery, and baby kale just doesn't cut it. Even though I added beans to my salad for protein, I realized I needed healthy fats and carbs to satiate me for the afternoon. I started adding these four toppings to my salads, and now I'm full and happy until dinner:
1/4 cup whole grains (like quinoa): 56 calories, 9.9 grams carbs, 1.3 grams fiber, 2 grams protein
1/4 avocado: 57 calories, 2.9 grams carbs, 2.3 grams fiber, .7 grams protein
1/4 cup fruit (like 3 strawberries): 12 calories, 2.9 grams carbs, .8 grams fiber, .3 grams protein
1 tablespoon nuts (like salted sunflower seeds): 46 calories, 1.9 grams carbs, .7 grams fiber, 1.5 grams protein
The quinoa makes it feel like more of a meal, the avocado adds a creaminess that makes my salad more delicious, the sunflower seeds add a wonderful crunchy texture, and the fruit adds just enough sweetness that I don't crave a treat after lunch.
"Coming Out" as Afro-Latina and Owning It
With two of my best friends since childhood, Cesar and Luis, on the street in front of the house I grew up in, at the age of 17.
I never thought I would be "coming out" because I was never hiding. I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, where identifying as simply "Dominican" was the norm - and still is, if you come from Latin America. When I moved to the United States 13 years ago, identifying as an Afro-Latina seemed redundant because, to me, being Dominican is synonymous with being of African descent.
Being a new immigrant to the United States, there were many things I didn't understand, like the fact that not all people born in the US were called "American." The different labels were beyond me. It seemed like a way of separating people, creating tension and division, and a disservice to the people of this country.
While some of that still rings true to me, the reality is that the labels do exist. What's important is understanding that it is less about labels and more about identity and the importance of the words that are used to describe us. Identifying as Afro-Latina is about bringing visibility to a community that often seems invisible, as people consider Afro-Latinas either too black to be Latinx or too fair to be black.
Growing up in a black family, I've seen firsthand the damage that racism and colorism can wreak in the Dominican Republic, where more than 90 percent of the population is of African descent. Being lighter has always given me privileges that my darker grandmother, cousins, and aunts never had. I know both sides of the Afro-Latina experience and I'm committed to promoting our roots and empowering new generations.
My African roots are evident on my features: mocha skin, full lips, round nose. I've always been proud of my African ancestry, and it has always been at the core of my identity as a Dominican. That being said, I wasn't expecting the reactions I get when I identify myself as an Afro-Latina or mention my African roots. People are either shocked, disagree with me, don't believe me, or accuse me of trying to "pass." These reactions made me feel as if I'd been in hiding, like I'd been a "secret black girl" who decided to come out of my shell by asserting my identity. I'm not a victim, but I'm not alone. And my experience doesn't even compare to what happens to darker Afro-Latinas who are subjected to the opposite type of questions - women whose Latinx heritage is constantly questioned and undermined.
I've had the privilege of been welcomed as a Latina when I identify as such. My brown skin and "good" hair have awarded me something that many of my fellow Afro-Latinas usually don't get. That's why I've made a point of identifying as Afro-Latina, to bring awareness to the fact that we have a mixed heritage and are multiracial. Afrolatinidad is another layer of the Latinx experience while also being another layer of the African diaspora experience.
With my father on my 13th birthday, in the living room of my childhood home.
As a Latina, I'm committed to bring light and visibility to my community, sharing the history and stories of Afro-Latinas, and celebrating them. It is important to open the conversation in order to defy myths and misconceptions, come out of the imaginary closet, and raise awareness about the many shades of black and brown we come in and the beautiful cultural diversity that makes each one of us unique.
Embracing my Afro-Latina identity has been an empowering experience, and I want to empower others to do the same - including my daughter. Younger generations of Afro-Latinas deserve to live in a society in which their lives and stories are validated, not only as black and brown girls, but also as Latinas in their own right. I'm excited to help create such a society. How about you?

Would We Wait 2 Hours For This Edible Cookie Dough? Yes, Yes We Would
In 2014, Kristen Tomlan left her job to pursue her confectionery dreams and create the best edible cookie dough. Now, Kristen's cookie dough venture has materialized in the form of Dō Cookie Dough Confections, which just opened its very first storefront in New York City.
Dō's products are entirely safe to eat because they are made with a pasteurized egg product and ready-to-eat flour - both of which are treated with a heat process that kills harmful bacteria and eliminates any chance of salmonella.
While edible cookie dough sounds simple enough, the highly anticipated brick-and-mortar shop has an extensive menu. For starters, you can order scoops of cookie dough or ice cream - or both - and have them served in a cup or cone with classic toppings. The cookie dough flavors include chocolate chip, sugar cookie, brownie batter, oatmeal M&M's, and commando - a signature dough without chocolate chips. Then there are crazier flavor combinations that bring together different toppings and flavors in an over-the-top manner, like the Chocolate Dream which combines brownie batter cookie dough, chocolate chips, and Oreo cookies.
In addition, Dō also offers ice cream sandwiches, milkshakes, cookie cakes, pies, fudge, and more - all using their cookie dough, of course. If raw cookie dough was never your thing, you can also take the dough home to bake cookies or other treats.
Dō is officially open for business at 550 LaGuardia Place, Tuesday to Sunday starting at 10 a.m. You might want to get there early because the wait is said to be around one to two hours. Scoops range from $4 to $9. Ahead, we've rounded up some pictures of the adorable shop, as well as their most mouthwatering menu items.
Chance the Rapper Raised a Whopping $2.2 Million For 20 Schools in Chicago
Chance the Rapper is on a mission to ensure every kid in Chicago receives a decent education. The 24-year-old has been leading the charge this year by donating $1 million to public schools in his home state and later launching an arts and literature fund to help develop better art programs for students in Illinois.
Now, with the help of his SocialWorks organization, the "Angels" rapper has raised a whopping $2.2 million dollars, which will go toward the Chicago Public Schools' arts programs. "Quality education for public schools is the most important investment a community can make," Chance declared while speaking at Chicago's Harold Washington Cultural Center on Friday night.
The $2.2 million dollars raised will reportedly be spread across 20 public schools in the Chicago area, and each school will receive up to $100,000 within a three-year span. Way to go, Chance!
Smoothie King Is Cleaning Up Its Menu With This Exciting Announcement
Growing up in the '90s, who can forget ordering Angel Food smoothies on repeat from Smoothie King? The strawberry-banana smoothies featured a SK signature: the addition of crunchy, caramelized turbinado sugar. Plus, it was served up in a styrofoam cup to keep the smoothie nice and chilled.
However, fast-forward to 2017, and Smoothie King has announced major changes through a Cleaner Blending initiative. According to a press release sent to POPSUGAR, Smoothie King "will remove added sugar from more than 50 smoothies and will remove artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, hormones, and GMO fruits and veggies from [its] ingredients."
Surprisingly, Not Everything at Taco Bell Is Terrible For You: Try These 8 Protein-Packed Orders
The first American smoothie franchise says it has already cut "high fructose corn syrup, trans fat, hydrogenated oil, [and] gluten" from its smoothies and is committed to taking things a step further. The turbinado sugar will be replaced with dates and/or a stevia plant-based sweetener. If you follow a specific diet (i.e. vegan, organic, raw, low-carb, low-fat, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, non-GMO), Smoothie King will make sure there's an option for you.
You can expect these changes to roll out over the next year and a half. In addition, Smoothie King is replacing its styrofoam cups with "a new material that is better for the environment." No word on what that will be, but you can expect new SK cups by the end of 2017.
The Most Expensive-Looking Ikea Hack We've Ever Seen

Taylor Swift Takes a Break From Plotting Revenge to Attend Her Best Friend's Wedding
After Taylor Swift released her music video for her new song, "Look What You Made Me Do" at the MTV VMAs last month, it was clear that a lot of her recent time out of the spotlight was spent plotting revenge and planning all of those hidden references. But the singer, who is gearing up for the release of her new album Reputation in November, took a break from all that to report for bridesmaid duty.
Taylor attended the wedding of her childhood best friend, Abigail Anderson, in Martha's Vineyard on Saturday. Dressed in a gorgeous maroon dress with matching lipstick, Taylor held up Abigail's massive gown as they made their way into the venue. Abigail, who obviously had a spot on Taylor's Junior Jewels t-shirt in her "LWYMMD" video, got engaged in June 2016 and celebrated the happy news at Taylor's annual Fourth of July bash that July. While Taylor's boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, sadly didn't pop up, he may have just been avoiding the photographers since the two are reportedly enjoying keeping their romance out of the spotlight.

Here's a Truly Incredible Story About Princess Diana at a Michael Jackson Concert
There are a ton of fascinating facts about Princess Diana's life, but some of my personal favorites are the ones that prove just how normal and fun-loving she was. Prince Harry recently revealed that his mom would even encourage silly behavior in him, saying that one of her mottos was, "You can be as naughty as you want; just don't get caught." And this story that I heard (while on my couch, drinking wine, in a rabbit hole of Diana videos on the internet) made me further realize that she was "The People's Princess" for a reason - despite her royal title, she was surprisingly relatable in her thoughts, actions, and interests.
Along with being a big admirer of the princess, I also happen to be a huge Michael Jackson fan, and the story of their first meeting put a huge smile on my face. In 1988, Diana and Prince Charles attended the London concert of Michael's Bad World Tour at Wembley Stadium. Before the show, the couple stopped backstage to meet the superstar and his staff. In an interview, Michael recalled that Diana called him away from the lineup to ask if he would be performing his 1987 hit "Dirty Diana." He replied, "No no, I took the song out of the show out of respect for you," - which makes sense, given that it's about a man-hungry groupie - but apparently, Diana had other ideas. "That's my favorite song!" she told Michael, to which he expressed his disbelief.
"At that point, I couldn't put it back into the show because it was too close to showtime," Michael said. Can we all just agree that the thought of Diana bopping in her seat to "Dirty Diana" is pretty incredible? As the conversation between the two went on, Charles became intrigued and walked up to them, asking, "What are you talking about?" Diana, being the badass that she was, replied, "Oh, nothing!" and walked off.
The princess had an affinity for popular music and counted artists like Freddie Mercury, Elton John, and George Michael as close friends. She and Michael forged a relationship as well, and the King of Pop admitted that she would often call him just to talk. They built a strong connection and bonded over their tumultuous upbringings, exploding fame, and experiences with the press (they were both massive tabloid fodder at the time). When Diana tragically passed away in August 1997, just days after Michael's birthday, he attended her funeral and went on to call her "one of the sweetest people I've ever known."

You Will Never Look at Jalapeños the Same Way After Learning This Fact
Did you know chiles have different names depending on whether they are fresh or dried? What?! I know. I'm as startled as you are. You are probably familiar with jalapeños as well as chipotle (likely in adobo sauce), but did you know they are the same pepper? It's true. Look it up! Jalapeños are kept longer on the vine, until they ripen to a deep red color and are then smoked and dried. Once that process is complete, they are known as chipotle. Some other shockers for you: poblano peppers become ancho when dried, and serranos become dried red chiles.
"Mood Ring" Hair Is Finally a Reality - and the Video Proof Is Mesmerizing
Remember mood rings from the '90s? Looking back, we know they didn't actually work, but we delighted in their color-changing powers anyway. Now that magic is back - this time for your hair.
On Sept. 1, Pravana is launching the first-ever temporary hair color to transform shades in mere seconds. It's heat activated, so it will work whether you use a blow dryer or flat iron or simply stand in the sun. Currently, there are four color combinations: violet to pink, smoky gray to invisible, lime green to yellow, and peach to invisible. Of course, they can all be mixed and matched - just note the effect works best on lightened hair. It washes out after you shampoo, so you could basically change your hair color every single day (talking to you, unicorn-hair-lovers).
At the moment, Pravana Vivids Mood Color is just available at select salons using Pravana products. If you need a little more convincing to make the trek to a professional colorist, check out the mesmerizing videos ahead to see how it works for yourself. You'll be hooked right away.

The Cast of Scrubs: Where Are They Now?
The cast of Scrubs had us laughing our asses off during the show's nine-season run, and many of the stars from the NBC medical sitcom are still doing big things, even seven years after the series finale. We've dug up the details on what the main cast of the show is doing now - and, spoiler alert, Zach Braff and Donald Faison's bromance is still stronger than ever.
Why Eat a Protein Bar When You Could Eat a Munk Pack Protein Cookie?
Try not to let that bite of protein bar fall out of your mouth when you hear this jaw-dropping revelation: protein cookies exist, and they could totally replace your post-workout bar. Munk Pack carries high-protein cookies in four flavors: Double Chocolate Chunk, Coconut White Chocolate Macadamia, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, and Oatmeal Raisin Spice.
They're vegan and gluten-free, and they offer 18 grams of protein per 340- to 380-calorie cookie (the serving size is half a cookie, meaning per serving you'd be getting nine grams of protein). The sugar content ranges from 16 grams per cookie to 18 grams per cookie. Ready to sink your teeth into one? Here's what our taste testers thought:
- Coconut White Chocolate Macadamia. Highlight: "White chocolate and coconut! Helloooo!" / Lowlight: "Help my taste buds! This is horrid."
- Oatmeal Raisin Spice. Highlight: "Excellent." / Lowlight: "Definitely not as good as a cookie but way better than a bar."
- Double Dark Chocolate. Highlight: "Delicious! Tastes like a real cookie." / Lowlight: "Meh."
- Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip. Highlight: "Soft. Lovely mix of PB and chocolate." / Lowlight: "Too soft. Not a fan!"

Maybe Trump Will Believe in Climate Change After Learning This Fact About Grizzly Bears
Although some people in the US (including our president) regularly deny it, climate change is happening - and it's happening quickly. Despite ample evidence that global warming is a widespread issue that needs a solution ASAP, the Trump White House continues to push antienvironmental policies, going so far as to condemn usage of the phrase "climate change." But regardless of what America does or doesn't believe, an increasing number of side effects are beginning to be reported around the world.
The most recent unexpected yet eye-opening side effect: rising temperatures are actually forcing grizzly bears to drastically alter their diets. While these bears are historically known to be omnivores, meaning they eat both meat and plants, new research suggests they've started opting for a more berry-based diet due to climate change.
A study recently published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences analyzed the brown bears found on Kodiak Island in Alaska. Though the bears typically feast on sockeye salmon in early summer and then elderberries later in the season around August and September, researchers found that during the warm Summer of 2014, the bears were too busy munching on berries to even care about the salmon. That's because the berries ripened earlier than usual and offered a quicker means of gaining weight, as they require less energy to break down than salmon does.
This diet switch-up may seem inconsequential on the surface, but it's actually harming the bears' surrounding environments. "Bears switched from eating salmon to elderberries, disrupting an ecological link that typically fertilizes terrestrial ecosystems and generates high mortality rates for salmon," the study read. "These results demonstrate an underappreciated mechanism by which climate-altered phenologies can alter food webs." In layman's terms: because the bears weren't leaving fish carcasses in the surrounding forest areas, the soil wasn't as enriched as it needs to be, meaning this small change in one species's eating habits could actually end up affecting the entire ecosystem in the long run. Yikes.
This is just one of the numerous examples that demonstrates just how harmful global warming is for animals. Unless world leaders decide on a plan of action for addressing the issue, the future is looking bleak for some of our favorite furry friends. Here's to hoping Trump rethinks his choice to remove the US from the Paris Climate Agreement . . .
The TV World Has Been Ripe With Beautifully NSFW Butts in 2017
Warning: naked male butts and some thrusting ahead.
This Summer, we were blessed with a new season of Game of Thrones. And while there are many aspects to be excited about when it comes to the HBO juggernaut, one particular highlight of the series seemed to round out our anticipation, so to speak. That's right, we were ready to see some butts. But then, we realized: oh, how limited our perspective has been! Oh, how foolish not to look to the hots stars of Insecure and other such eye-candy-filled TV shows! Westeros is not the only land ripe with peaches. Behold a few other choice butts from the year so far.
No, That Versace Dress Was Not Jennifer Lopez's First Grammys Look
Your first memory of Jennifer Lopez at the Grammy Awards might be one of the singer and actress in 2000 right next to then-boyfriend Sean "Diddy" Combs looking fly and . . . oh, yeah, wearing that insane, low-cut, green Versace dress that shook the world so hard, even Google had to come out with Image Search because people couldn't get enough of J Lo. But that wasn't the first time Jennifer appeared on the Grammys red carpet.
J Lo's first appearance (before she was J Lo) was in 1998, where she walk into Radio City Music Hall in New York City with none other than Tommy Mottola - yes, Thalia's now-husband. The dress she was wearing was not Versace. In fact, we can't figure out if her sparkly silver number topped with a matching coat with shaggy trimmings on the neckline and sleeves was even a designer look at all.

Zendaya's Genius Trick For Making Foundation Look Natural Combines 2 Drugstore Products
No one glows quite like Zendaya. The superstar has got that dewy, natural luminescence down pat. And while it may look like she was just born with amazing skin (which is true), she has admitted that it's also all thanks to clever makeup application.
"Every time I hit the red carpet it doesn't look like I'm wearing a lot of makeup, but trust and believe honey, it's caked!" she wrote on her app. "What's my secret? Highlighter mixed with a creamy foundation." The CoverGirl ambassador, who regularly does her own makeup for big events, revealed her favorite combo is the brand's Katy Kat Pearl Eye Shadow and Highlighter ($9) and Queen Collection CC Cream For Dark Skin ($8).
To show just how effective her trick is, she looked back at old red carpet photos of herself from 2012. You can definitely see her foundation created more of a white cast and looked more detectable. "I've gone through a lot of trial and error to get to this point," she continued. "You'll definitely see there was a learning curve."
That was then; this is now:
What a HUGE difference it makes!

3 Booty-Blasting Moves From a Class Called "Best Butt Ever"
When I first moved to San Francisco, I signed up for a class called Best Butt Ever at Equinox. I had no idea what to expect, but I was sold on the name alone. Who doesn't want the best butt ever?!
I immediately fell in love with the tush-targeting conditioning class, and the class's instructor, wellness coach Caroline Jordan. Caroline brings an unparalleled energy to the studio, and through every will-power-testing move, squat, leg lift, and cardio sequence, she reminds you (not so subtly) to tell yourself, "MY BUTT LOVES ME," as you press on through the burn.
She also emphasizes the importance of training your glutes and your rear not for aesthetics, but for your general health. As a proponent of gluteal health, Jordan encourages her students and clients to "wake up their butt" to reduce fatigue and back pain, protect the knee joints, and create overall strength.
Jordan is letting us share a sneak preview of her Best Butt Ever class, with three booty-burning bodyweight exercises you can do right at home. After you try these three moves, Jordan says to "notice how your body feels when you give it a little bit of movement, strength, energy, and power."
Check out Jordan's three favorite moves - you'll probably be familiar with some! And take my word for it: these moves look simple, but they are going to transform your backside.
Here's What You Can Do to Help Victims of Hurricane Harvey
Harvey hit Texas as a Category 4 storm on Aug. 25, and while it's no longer a hurricane, the Gulf area will continue to feel the brunt of tropical-storm-force wind and rain through the rest of the week. While rescue operations are still ongoing throughout the area, relief and recovery efforts are already underway - and here's what you can do to help out those who need it most in the wake of such a catastrophic natural disaster.
How to donate to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey:
- The American Red Cross is taking donations online at redcross.org, or you can call 1-800-RED-CROSS or text the word HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
- Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and The Greater Houston Community Foundation set up a Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund that is collecting donations for flood victims.
- Nonprofit organization All Hands has relief workers on the ground in Texas and is taking donations toward relief and recovery efforts here.
- Crowdfunding site Global Giving has set up a relief fund to "provide relief to survivors in the form of emergency supplies like food, water, and medicine in addition to longer-term recovery assistance to help residents recover and rebuild."
- Americares has set up a fund with proceeds going toward medical treatment and basic supplies for those who are in need.
- New Orleans-based SBP plans to send Americorps members to help rebuild homes in the area, and you can donate to their efforts with a clear guide on what your funds will go toward helping here.
- Porlight has set up a fund to help those with disabilities and elderly individuals who may require addition assistance due to medical equipment or accessibility.
- The United Way launched a relief fund for storm-related needs, and you can choose the region that your donation will go toward helping here (or elect to send it to wherever it will do the most good).
- Corpus Christi's Driscoll Children's Hospital has moved its patients for safety but will likely need additional funds to support the care of its nearly 200 patients. You can contact the hospital here.
- The Texas Diaper Bank is currently taking donations to provide necessary supplies to the youngest individuals affected by Harvey.
If you're in Texas and want to help out on the ground:
- Airbnb has set up a program where individuals can donate space for evacuees to stay while the storm is still underway.
- Harris County residents with high-water boats are encouraged to volunteer those vehicles to help the fire marshall with rescue efforts by calling 713-881-3100.
- If you are able to donate blood, contact the Carter Blood Center or the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center.

This New Marker-Inspired Lipstick Line Is a Pigment Addict's Holy Grail
As a woman whose collection of lipsticks could fill actual, literal buckets, it's rare that any one product holds my attention for long. That's why it's notable that Pinkie Swear's Clip Paints ($18) have earned a permanent spot in my purse since I first gave them a whirl about a month ago. Not only are the clickable, cream-matte pigments super saturated with color and ultramoisturizing (an exceedingly rare combo), but they also stay put in more ways than one. The marker-style packaging includes a handy clip that keeps each tube from rolling around and getting lost in the depths of my bag, and the color seriously does not quit. Added bonus? The brush tip is precise enough to easily create a flawless shape, sans liner, in the rearview mirror at a stoplight.
The author's three favorite Pinkie Swear shades, from left to right: Send Nudes, Loft Party, and Plan B.
For an idea of just how wonderfully stubborn this color is, take a look at the photos below. I took the picture on the left as I left home to head to work at 8:13 a.m., a little while after first applying Clip Paint in one of my favorite shades, Plan B. The photo in the middle was taken at the office at 9:20 a.m. after I'd had two cups of coffee. The photo on the right was snapped at 11:48 a.m. after I drank way, way more coffee. (I really like coffee.) I didn't even bother to reapply at all until I added a single swipe at my desk - just in case - after eating a huge, olive-oil-laden salad for lunch around 1 p.m.
The quality isn't surprising when you consider that the line of lip products is the brainchild of creative directors Claude Morais and Brian Wolk. The duo might be best known for their fashion design work, but they're no strangers to the beauty world, either. The runway nail art they debuted with their Spring 2011 Ruffian collection quickly became one of the year's biggest beauty trends, leading to collaborations with Birchbox and MAC. With Pinkie Swear, the pair set out to create high-impact colors in a fun, practical package. They imagine the Pinkie Swear fan as "a rebel, a dream maker, a misfit" who's "equally inspired strolling the streets of Hollywood [or] sifting through a flea market in Paris."
Also vital to the creative directors? Coming up with universal shades that would flatter any skin tone. "We knew that the colors in our palette needed to be selected based on their individual gorgeousness, just like the every member of the beauty community," Wolk and Morais told POPSUGAR in an email. "We wanted to unite through color, not divide, and we truly believe that beauty and creative self-expression are capable bringing people together."
A youthful, eclectic vibe is evident in those color choices, which range from a deep, electric pink (Plan B) to Barbie-esque lavender (Loft Party) to a delightfully mod nude beige (Send Nudes). The full set of six Pinkie Swear shades ($100) is packaged in silver foil inspired by Andy Warhol's factory, and an artsy influence is evident in everything about the brand; to celebrate the launch of the Pinkie Swear collective in LA, Wolk and Morais cohosted a charitable art exhibit with the brand's visual director, Mandy Mitchell.
We can also exclusively announce that Clip Gloss will be launching timed to the holidays!
12 Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner GIFs That Prove They're Thick as Thieves
The seventh season of Game of Thrones came to an end this week, but at least we still have Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams's real-life friendship to hold us over until the show returns. Sophie and Maisie first met when they were 13 and 12 years old, respectively, and they quickly developed a bond unlike any other. "Maisie and I have the purest form of true, true friendship," Sophie told W magazine of their relationship in July. "She's been my rock. We are kind of the only two people who know what it feels like to go through this very scenario from pretty much the same background, and ending up where we are and kind of finding ourselves as we go." In celebration of their friendship, take a look at their cutest GIFs.

Starbucks Frappuccinos Ranked From Worst to Best
Starbucks has had its fair share of Frappuccinos throughout the years, most of which are honestly delicious. As of late, though, the coffee brand has been rolling out more innovative and aesthetically pleasing frozen beverages that maybe don't totally deliver on flavor. (I'm looking at you, Unicorn Frappuccino.) While we couldn't track down every single iteration of the Frappuccino that Starbucks has accomplished, we did manage to come up with more than 30 of them in a definitive list of worst to best.
Look Back at Kim Kardashian's Sexiest Halloween Costumes
Celebrities love to dress up for Halloween, and Kim Kardashian is one of the few that usually go all out! Her many, often revealing Halloween looks through the years show that she's mastered the art of a sexy costume with outfits inspired by movies, animals, and even fictional characters. Needless to say, we can't wait to see what she does this year.
23 Celebrity Costumes You Can Actually Copy
Elaborate Halloween costumes à la Heidi Klum can be fun, but they require a whole lot of effort to actually pull off. Sometimes (like when it's Oct. 30 and you have nothing planned!) going with a look that can be put together with items already hanging in your closet or parts that are easy to find at a thrift shop makes more sense. Celebrities themselves have often taken the easier approach, and we've rounded up their simple dress-up ideas to serve as your inspiration!
