Anna Faris Steps Out Without Her Wedding Ring After Opening Up About Chris Pratt
Anna Faris and Chris Pratt announced their split in August with a heartbreaking statement. While Chris was spotted out soon after without his wedding ring and also attended the Teen Choice Awards, the actress kept a pretty low profile while things blew over. But on Wednesday, shortly after she opened up about relationships to Cosmopolitan, Anna was photographed out in LA. The Mom star, who ran errands without her wedding ring, contributed to the magazine's "On My Mind" column for its October issue, in which she briefly spoke about her ex. "I was once told that I didn't need a tight group of girlfriends because Chris should be my best friend. But I never bought that," she said. "The idea of your mate being your best friend - that's overhyped."
The mom of son Jack, whom she shares with Chris, also touched on the terrible bullying she went through as a child. "Growing up, I fell victim to plenty of mean girls who would sneak up on me and snap my bra strap," she continued. "It may sound like a small thing, but when you're a quiet teenager trying to get through high school unnoticed, that kind of unwanted attention is rough." Since news of their split broke, Anna has been gearing up for the release of her new book, Unqualified, so it's good to see her out and about again!
What's Behind That Door With the Flower on AHS: Cult? We Have a Few Ideas
We're only one episode into American Horror Story: Cult, but we already have so many questions. In addition to being generally shocked by the whole episode (who knew Donald Trump and killer clowns could give us the same type of chills?), we're also thinking about that one door. If you watched the premiere, you know exactly what door I'm talking about. After Kai Anderson (Evan Peters) establishes himself as an insane and unstable Trump supporter (he rubs Cheeto dust on his face to look like the president), he wanders through his house, unable to control his happiness at the country's new leader.
While roaming down a hallway, he stops at a door that has a padlock on it and one single rose sitting in an attached vase. He briefly smells the rose before moving on to talk to Winter Anderson (Billie Lourd), who appears to be his sister. Kai's moment with the door is long enough to hint that whatever is behind it holds extreme significance for whatever is going to go down this season. So what exactly is he hiding in his own house?
Some fans think the rose clearly signifies that Kai and Winter's parents have died, while others took it a step further and suggested the room behind the door is actually the Anderson parents' tomb. Others think Kai has an unhealthy control over his sister and keeps her locked up sometimes. It could also be a random person that Kai kidnapped and is keeping captive (we wouldn't put that past him, judging from his behavior).
Whatever it turns out to be, we have no doubt that it will scare the sh*t out of us once it's revealed.

You Have to See What Jennifer Lopez Wore to the Selena Premiere in 1997
On March 13, 1997, Jennifer Lopez and the cast of Selena made their way down the red carpet for the premiere of the movie. It's hard to believe it's been 20 years since the movie hit theaters, specially because J Lo looks exactly the same - she's aging in reverse!
But one look at the pictures and you'll see it was definitely the '90s. Jennifer was a fresh-faced actress just married to Ojani Noa, wearing a sparkly white dress, faux fur blue stole, and, wait for it, platform sandals! Yep. 31 People Who Are Maybe, Probably Still Screaming About American Horror Story: Cult

9 Ways Prince William Is Keeping His Mother's Memory Alive Within His Own Family
Prince William was just 15 years old when his mother, Princess Diana, was tragically killed in a car accident in August 1997. Now that he and his brother Harry are adults, they've been opening up more and more about how their mother's death has impacted their lives. Recently, William revealed that what perhaps upsets him most about her absence is that she never got to meet his wife, Kate Middleton, or their kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. "I would love her to have met Catherine and to have seen the children grow up," he told British GQ. "It makes me sad that she won't, that they will never know her."
In addition to more modern parenting traditions like bringing his children on royal engagements, sharing official birthday portraits, and making sure George and Charlotte lead lives that are as normal as possible, William has also made sure to honor his mother's legacy in other, smaller ways, from where he lives to the services he uses to his choice of gifts for Kate Middleton. Keep reading to see nine of them now.
Kate Middleton's Not Too Princessy to Play Sports
Kate Middleton has a full schedule with two children and royal duties to attend to, but she's already proven in the past that she's not afraid to work up a sweat. Kate's been active since Saint Andrew's school, where she played tennis and swam, and her sporty days haven't stopped since she became a duchess. She showed off her athletic skills in front of the cameras during her royal tour of New Zealand and Australia in 2014, and now we've rounded up all of her most active moments.
4 Reasons I'm Glad My Office Has an Open Floorplan
In my office, we sit in desk pods, generally of four people, with no walls separating us and no doors to close anyone in or out. While I know this type of office setting can be difficult for some people to work in, due to the ease of distractions, I love it. This setting makes me feel like we're all one big team rather than splitting people up due to a hierarchy of sorts. I feel like it fosters collaboration among us and makes a positive working environment. Beyond that, here are four other reasons that an open office floorplan is the best environment to work in.
It encourages working relationships
Our desks don't have walls between them, and all I have to do is scoot over to to chat with a coworker about any questions I might have about what she's working on. It helps us work collaboratively because we're all so easily accessible to one another.
It makes a light, open space
Being inside a cubicle can be stuffy, unless you somehow have a bunch of windows. Our office is wide open and bright, which for me creates an inviting space that I enjoy being in. When I'm happy to be at work, it's easier for me to engage my brain and produce work I'm proud of.
It promotes equality
I've heard complaints from people who think an open office plan puts a spotlight on everyone because we're so out in the open and visible, but the way I see it, it puts everyone on an even playing field. No one here has an office or a cubicle. My desk is the same as an intern's desk. We are all the same, except some people have a window seat, which really isn't that big of a deal.
It's inviting when we have visitors
Because we're a media company, we have a lot of people coming through the office for meetings and interviews, and so many of them tell me how nice and open our office is. They feel like they can walk through it and feel like they're part of our team because they're right in this with us.

These "Snake Eyes" Serpent Makeup Looks Will Have You Feeling Gucci
Since we are not Britney Spears singing "I'm a Slave 4 U" at the 2001 VMAs, we have no real desire to ever rub boa constrictors across our faces. For the most part, any interaction we have with slithering serpents is reserved for our worst nightmares. That is, until we saw a new look we like to call "Snake Eyes" slither onto our Instagram feeds.
At first, this burgundy and navy look might remind you of Mimi Choi's mesmerizing snake lip art. But fashion girls (or Tyga fans) will notice that the little creepy-crawly makeup artists are painting on their eyes is actually a replica of the Gucci Snake that took over fashion runways and Kim Kardashian's descriptions of Taylor Swift back in 2016.
This trend was first sported by Instagram makeup artist Esha Javed's eyes and has since crawled northward to other influencers' brows in the week since. But even though this luxe look is based off of designer threads, it can be created with mostly drugstore products. To achieve her chicly venomous look, Javed used Wet n Wild H20 Waterproof Liquid Liner ($4), Morphe Brushes 35B Palette ($20), and NYX Cosmetics Vivid Liners in Vivid Fire ($7).
Snake Eyes are as hypnotizing as Kaa from The Jungle Book, and hopefully less lethal. Indeed, this style is simply giving us life right now. Read on for the besssssssssst cosmetic cobras out there.

While she'll be the first one to admit she has plenty of work to do - captioning photos by saying "bad form, I know" and even talking about being weak after years of skipping the gym - we admire Bella for her determination to get healthy and feel fit while juggling a busy schedule. Scroll ahead to see her best workout moments and get ready to feel inspired to grab that gym bag and tackle a sweat session.

That means that if you're looking to join Team Unicorn, balayage should definitely be in your rainbow hair arsenal. We've rounded up 50 of our favorite dye jobs that are the perfect marriage of balayage and rich, vibrant hues. The Details of Laci Peterson's Murder Will Still Chill You to Your Very Core
There are very few murder investigations that capture the attention of the entire country, but the ones that do usually stay with people forever. Laci Peterson became one of those cases when she went missing on Christmas Eve in 2002. While any missing persons case is devastating, people became enamored with the beautiful 27-year-old because she was eight months pregnant with her son, who was to be named Connor, when she vanished. Those closest to Laci, and the general public, couldn't understand why someone would want to hurt a woman who didn't appear to have any enemies. But as the days turned into weeks following her disappearance, the details of what happened slowly began to fill in the confusing puzzle, and it still remains one of the most chilling murder cases in recent years.
Laci's husband (and Connor's dad), Scott Peterson, quickly became the police's main suspect due to his bizarre behavior, his repeated refusals to take a polygraph test, and his general lack of interest in the investigation's progress. Scott was eventually found guilty of murdering his wife and unborn son and was sentenced to death in 2004. He is currently on death row at San Quentin State Prison in California, where he recently spoke out for the first time in over a decade for A&E's docuseries The Murder of Laci Peterson. Here are six heartbreaking facts from one of the most infamous murder cases in history.
1. Laci Was Last Seen on Christmas Eve 2002
On the morning of Dec. 24, 2002, Scott left their Modesto, CA, home to go fishing, while Laci took their dog for a walk. Later that afternoon, a neighbor saw their dog wandering around while still wearing its leash. Scott later told police that after leaving their house that morning, he went to his nearby warehouse to send emails and get his boat, which was backed up by email time stamps and a warehouse receipt. He said that after about 90 minutes of fishing, he returned home to an empty house and showered, thinking Laci had gone over to her mom's house. Scott called Laci's parents that evening to ask if they knew where she was, and they immediately called police to report that she was missing.
2. Scott Quickly Became a Suspect
While many murder victims die at the hands of someone they know, it was Scott's questionable behavior in the days after Laci's disappearance that put him at the top of the suspects list. Police reported that Scott almost immediately began referring to Laci in the past tense as if she wasn't alive anymore, even before they found her body. But the biggest bombshell of all came when Scott's mistress, Amber Frey, revealed their relationship to the media shortly after she learned about Laci's disappearance. Amber agreed to record her phone conversations with Scott without his knowledge, and she told police that two weeks before Laci went missing, Scott had told her he was a widower and that this would be the first Christmas without his wife. Scott was also photographed laughing and smiling at a vigil for Laci just a few days after she went missing, where he called Amber and pretended he was partying in Paris on New Year's Eve.
3. Laci and Connor's Bodies Were Mutilated
In April 2003, four months after Laci went missing, a couple out walking their dog discovered Connor's body washed up on the San Francisco Bay shore. Plastic tape was reportedly found around his neck, and there was also a large cut on the right side of his body. One day later, Laci's body washed ashore just one mile from where Connor was found. She was decapitated, both forearms were missing, her right foot was severed, and the bottom half of her left leg was missing. Because her body was badly decomposed, her exact cause of death couldn't be determined.
4. Scott Appeared to Be on the Run When He Was Arrested
After months of speculation, Scott was arrested on April 18, 2003, at a golf course in San Diego, where he said he was staying to avoid media attention. At the time of his arrest, he was carrying $15,000 in cash, four cell phones, his brother's ID, and camping gear and had dyed his hair blond.
5. Scott Was Sentenced to Death
His trial began in June 2004, and a judge sentenced him to die by lethal injection that November. Similarly to O.J. Simpson's trial, people all over the country gathered in public places to hear the verdict and celebrate his conviction together.
6. He Still Maintains His Innocence
In a recorded phone call with his sister-in-law, Janey, from June 2017, Scott spoke from his prison cell about the moment the guilty verdict was read, saying he "had no idea" the jury would think he did it. "When they told me, I had just a terrible physical reaction," he said. "I mean it was a really emotional, physical reaction. I couldn't feel my feet on the floor. I couldn't feel the chair I was sitting in. My vision was even a little blurry. And I just had this weird sensation that I was falling forward - and forward and down and there was going to be no end to this falling forward and down, like there was no floor to land on. I, I was staggered by it. I had no idea it was coming." Scott is still appealing his case.
Chrissy Teigen's Go-To Ingredient Is Perfect For the Lazy Cook
Chrissy Teigen teamed up with Lawry's to come up with some incredible tailgating tips and recipes so you can throw together a delicious feast even at the last minute. Here's what she had to say about the partnership: "My favorite part of any game day is the food - hands down - and having a well-stocked pantry is my secret when cooking for a crowd of sports fans. There are like 10 things that, if I have on hand, I can take over the world - or at least a tailgate. Sriracha, cilantro, and Lawry's Seasoned Salt are some of my favorites."
Having grown up on Lawry's seasoned salts, from the garlic salt on scrambled eggs to lemon pepper on baked chicken breasts and steamed artichokes to the seasoned pepper in a cheese ball, I can attest to its finger-licking goodness. The convenience and flavor makes it all too easy to pick up and shake on just about anything, and Chrissy's ingenious uses of the seasonings will inspire you to get cookin' come football season! Seriously, you'll adore how doable these recipes are.

Store-Bought Cream Didn't Stop My Mosquito Bites From Itching, but This Kitchen Item Did
I don't want to brag or anything, but mosquitos freaking love me - so much, in fact, that I woke up with nine bites the other morning because I stupidly left my trusty DIY repellent spray at the office. To keep the itching at a minimum, I bought anti-itch cream specifically made for bug and mosquito bites. Unfortunately, it didn't really make a difference and I found myself clawing at my arms and legs soon after applying.
So, I searched for natural remedies I might've had around my house as an alternative to returning to the store. Turns out, good ol' apple cider vinegar is great for more than just aiding in weight loss and boosting immunity. The versatile kitchen ingredient was the answer to my bites.
I soaked a cotton pad and applied it directly to the areas, rubbing it in for several seconds before moving onto the next one. It immediately began to soothe the bites and stop the itching! I reapplied throughout the day as soon as the itching returned and concluded that it was much more effective than the store-bought ointment. Another suggestion is to dilute the solution into a bath and soak for full-body relief.
Moral of the story: always keep ACV in your pantry for everything.

Child Marriage Isn't Just a Problem in Other Countries - It's Happening in the US, Too
ICYMI, child marriage is alive and thriving in the US, with many states allowing people under the age of 18 to wed, as long as they receive parental or judicial consent. In a recent episode of Full Frontal, Samantha Bee unpacked this loaded topic, which has been gaining much traction and debate lately. Though advocacy groups in some states are making moves to ban this legislation (such as in New York, where the marriage age was just raised from 14 to 17 with the requirement for consent from both a judge and parent), other states are a bit more resistant to making amendments to the law.
Throughout the segment, Bee gave proved just how "mind-boggling" it is that these laws still exist in the US. She listed off some pretty concerning statistics that prove exactly why child marriage is so detrimental to those who partake in it, such as the fact that 70 percent of these marriages end in divorce and how women who wed before 18 are three times more likely to be beaten by their spouses.
Watch the entire clip above to hear Bee get real on the hotly contested issue.
If You've Dreamed That Your Teeth Fell Out, There's an Important Meaning Behind It
Have you ever woken up and remembered your teeth falling out or breaking in a dream? It could mean something important about what's going on in your life. It's also a very common dream that people remember on a regular basis. There are a few explanations for why you may be experiencing these types of visions, and we're breaking them down for you so that you can better understand what's happening in your mind.
The most likely meaning behind these dreams is that you're not taking good care of yourself and you know that. When your teeth are broken and gone, it takes away your ability to do many things like eat or talk normally. Your mind could be telling you that you need to start looking after yourself, whether it be mentally or physically, in order to clear your conscience.
It could also stem from your fear of getting older. If you've had any important changes or developments recently occur, you could be thinking about your life overall. If the idea of aging makes you nervous, it could be on your mind when you fall asleep, which is why you're having those dreams.
Thoughts of your teeth falling out could also be a sign that you need to be nurtured. You may not even realize it, but if you don't have anyone in your life to look after you, you could be longing for that. These dreams are your way of telling yourself that you want somebody in your life who you can count on.
As you can see, there are many ways to interpret this type of dream. The best thing to do is examine your life and see if any of these explanations apply to you. Once you correct what's happening in your life, those dreams should go away!

Don't Worry, AHS's Twisty the Clown Isn't Scary at All Out of Costume
American Horror Story is full of scares and surprises, but perhaps one of the creepiest characters on the show is Twisty the Clown, who's played by John Carroll Lynch. Twisty first made his debut on Freak Show, and now he's back for season seven, Cult. While Twisty may be a mute serial killing clown, John actually enjoys playing a character that's so dark and different from himself. "It's great to play a character that is so starkly drawn, and it's really fun to be a bad guy," John told the LA Times in October 2014. "In this case I really like that Ryan and the writers have provided not only a really terrific, scary character, but also they provided a lot of humanity."
Still, that doesn't mean Twisty's been an easy character to play. When deciding whether he wanted to take on the role, John said he found himself intrigued by the challenges the role presented. "I knew that the character was going to be primarily silent and that was a challenge," John explained. "I knew the character, most of his face was going to be covered and that was a challenge. It's like if you were boxing and somebody said, 'We'd like you to fight that guy, but we'd like you to fight that guy just with your feet and we'll tie your hands behind your back.' I would say no to that challenge, but I said yes to this one." Oh, and just in case you were wondering, John isn't afraid of clowns.

How to Nail the Video Chat Interview
In our increasingly scattered and tech-nimble world, it's more and more common to have an interview over video chat before the candidate and company invest in meeting IRL. It may seem like this first round of virtual interviews will be easier than the in-person kind, but you should treat these interviews the same way you would any other. For starters, don't neglect to get dressed below the waist - even if you think they won't be able to see that part of your body. Keep reading for some top tips from Skype on nailing that video chat interview.
Precall Setup
Set a clean and bright stage: Adjust the lighting sources in the room where you'll be seated to make sure you won't be swallowed up by dark shadows. Also, choose a plain, neutral background and remove any distracting pictures or other clutter so you can take center stage as the main focus of the call.
Take the lead by creating a Skype link: Show some initiative by creating a Skype link that you and the interviewer can click on to start the call.
Practice! The night before the interview, ask a friend or family member to do a test call with you to check the sound and video quality. While they're on the line, you might as well practice your responses to common interview questions.
Tips For a Video Chat Interview
Mind your posture: Your mom was right about most things - including the fact that bad posture makes you look like a slouch - and all those years of being told to sit up straight should come in handy during an interview. Nice posture is a quick and easy way to seem polished and prepared.
Make the right kind of eye contact: Look at the webcam - not the screen. This will make you seem more locked in with your interviewer, like you're actually looking into their eyes.
Dress for success - even from the waist down! According to a 2016 survey, more than one-fifth of Skype interviewees admitted to dressing casually from the waist down during their interviews. They say to dress for the job you want, so what does it mean if you're not wearing any pants?!
Keep your résumé within clicking distance: Although you won't have to present a hard copy of your résumé like you would in an in-person interview, it's still best to have the file ready to transfer via Skype IM if requested.
Avoid quick movements: Try not to move your hands or body too much or too fast during a Skype call, as this can create a blurring effect and make your facial expressions unreadable.
Advice For the Mobile Interview
Opt for landscape mode: Keep your mobile device on its side so that you're filling the interviewer's screen horizontally.
Keep it steady and elevated: Create a stand for the mobile device, propping it up on a level surface parallel with your eyeline so you won't be holding it with shaky hands or filming up from a low angle.
Avoid interruptions: Before the interview begins, turn off notifications so you're not interrupted by text messages and news alerts.
Ditch the headphones: Rather than using a pair of awkward-looking headphones, find a quiet place to conduct the interview so you can hear and be heard in peace.
11 Signs You're an Ambivert
We know that introverts value their alone time, while extroverts thrive in social settings. So what personality type are you if you fall in between? If you don't really identify with one end of the spectrum, you're an ambivert. You are a hybrid of both parties and adjust according to the situation.
According to a study by Adam Grant at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, ambiverts actually hold an advantage over introverts and extroverts and are, surprisingly, better salespeople as a result.
"Because they naturally engage in a flexible pattern of talking and listening, ambiverts are likely to express sufficient assertiveness and enthusiasm to persuade and close a sale but are more inclined to listen to customers' interests and less vulnerable to appearing too excited or overconfident," the study said.
Sounds pretty good to us. See the 11 signs below to further prove you're an in-betweener, and take this quiz to confirm.
- Social settings don't freak you out, but you can't be around people for too long. You have the ability to be outgoing in groups, but you also find yourself wanting to go home sooner than others. Your stamina also depends on the company you're with, meaning you can typically last longer with those you already know.
- You enjoy your alone time but can get bored if you're alone for too long. You appreciate the time you have to yourself to a certain extent. Once you feel like you've reenergized, you're able to jump back into the scene. Same with crowds - you feel drained after being around others past your socializing limit.
- You can engage in conversation as much as you can sit back. You're a great listener, but you can also hold a conversation. You can feel out the situation to figure out how much more or little you need to contribute to keep things flowing comfortably. You're also good at detecting certain emotions and can drive the interaction to fit accordingly.
- You're comfortable working in groups and alone. You can easily collaborate with other members, but you also don't mind taking on a project on your own. You can excel either way.
- Your energy level can drop at a moment's notice. You'll be having a great time with friends until all of a sudden, you feel drained and bored. You can't remain in that setting for much longer or else you won't be much fun.
- You're pretty emotionally stable. You are not easily overwhelmed by things and feel relatively balanced in most settings. You're flexible and not sensitive to certain factors that might influence other personalities. In a state of emergency, you can stay calm and take charge, as well as keep cool in an overly exciting situation.
- You can be quiet or very social, depending on who you talk to. You don't necessarily like to initiate conversation but welcome it if approached. You're happy to meet new people, though you probably won't make yourself known in a group of strangers. You can be a wallflower when you want to be, as well as a social butterfly. You know certain people who might say you're shy and others who swear you're totally outgoing.
- You don't mind being the center of attention but can't stay in the spotlight. You're not freaked out by having all eyes on you. In fact, you kind of like it. But when you feel like you've been the focus for too long, you get uncomfortable and want to redirect the attention elsewhere.
- You have to be in the mood to want to go out. Sometimes, you look forward to spending your Friday out, while on other weekends, you refuse to see anyone. If you're mentally set on wanting to be alone, you can be perceived as boring when you're forced to socialize.
- You're good at small talk, but it annoys the hell out of you. You know the drill when it comes to filling the silence, but it's not always the most sincere. You do what you have to to keep the momentum but will get exhausted by it at some point. You even avoid social settings entirely if you know you can't handle small talk at the time.
- You're indecisive. You have trouble making solid choices because you can really go either way. You know you'll enjoy staying in, but you also know that you could have a lot of fun if you go out. Though not easily, you can be persuaded into or out of things if the right things are said.
Why Your Favorite Game of Thrones Character Might Become a White Walker
Are you ready for your day to be ruined? If so, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is happy to help. During an interview with Esquire, the Game of Thrones star was happy to discuss everything from the riveting conclusion to season seven to his predictions for season eight. While on the latter subject, Coster-Waldau posited a theory that we aren't emotionally ready to consider quite yet, but we are now forcing ourselves to anyway: a main character (or possibly main characters) will be turned into a wight in season eight.
Now, there are a few characters we wouldn't be that sad to part with given their history of being huge assh*les. (Can you imagine wight-Euron stumbling around in all that leather?) Even so, the mere prospect of seeing some of the fantasy drama's big hitters die in such a way is disheartening, to say the least. If anyone suffers from that fate, though, it will likely be the characters fighting the Night King and his undead army on the North's frontlines. And who do we see heading that way in the finale? Jaime Lannister.
"The fear is that I would be turned into one of those undead. That would suck," Coster-Waldau admitted while discussing Jaime's choice to ditch Cersei and King's Landing. "You know some of the main characters are going to get turned. There are going to be some blue-eyed main characters running around. And, god, I hope it's not me. That's three hours of makeup in the morning. I know that if David Benioff and Dan Weiss read this, they'll go, 'Oh, yes, we will.'"
To be honest, that seems like an inevitability for at least one character on the show at this point now that the Wall is officially down and the White Walkers are marching south. Then again, this is a man who doesn't even recognize his own butt, so take his word with a grain of salt. And hey, we have quite some time until anything happens anyway (which is a tragedy in and of itself, but let's not talk about that).
The Way Prince Charles and Camilla Met Was Pretty Common - With a Twist
Image Source: Getty / Karwai Tang
Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles's highly publicized, scandal-filled relationship began how most do: at a party. In 1971, Charles and Camilla, then Camilla Shand, were introduced at a mutual friend's event by none other than Charles's college girlfriend, Lucia Santa Cruz. Lucia, the daughter of the former Chilean ambassador to London, was said to have carried on a brief but passionate romance with Charles while he was studying at Cambridge University years earlier and insisted that she had "just the girl" for the prince before hooking him up with Camilla.
While chatting at the party, they soon discovered a shared love of polo and being outdoors, and Camilla reportedly made a joke about her great-grandmother Alice Keppel having had an affair with King Edward VIII, telling Charles, "My great-grandmother was the mistress of your great-great-grandfather. I feel we have something in common." The two began dating almost immediately, meeting at polo matches at Windsor Great Park, where Charles often played - but the two split right before the prince left for the Royal Navy. When he got back eight months later, Camilla was engaged to Army officer Andrew Parker Bowles.

Camilla and Andrew tied the knot in 1973, and though the two stayed close, Charles began a relationship with 18-year-old Diana Spencer in 1980 (after dating her sister first, of course). He popped the question after only 12 dates, and even though the two were married in 1981, Diana had suspicions that Charles and Camilla had rekindled their romance behind her back - and the fact that Camilla was in attendance at their wedding didn't exactly quell those fears. And to celebrate the nuptials, Charles decided to buy gifts for a dozen of his close friends, including Camilla; he bought her "a gold bracelet personalized with a blue enamel disk engraved with the initials 'GF.' The monogram stood for 'Girl Friday,'" Charles's nickname for her.
By 1986, Charles and Camilla's affair had hit a fever pitch, and in 1989, Diana famously confronted her husband's mistress at a 40th birthday party for Camilla's sister, of all places. Despite her brazen attempts at getting Camilla to back off, Diana and Charles's marriage continued to falter - and by 1992, they had officially separated. In a televised BBC interview three years later Diana made the infamous statement, "There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded." Shortly after, Queen Elizabeth II ordered Charles and Diana's divorce, and what was done was done. Diana tragically passed away in August 1997, and Charles and Camilla quietly continued their romance. The queen believed they should go public, so they formalized their relationship by attending Camilla's sister's 50th birthday party together in 1999. Elizabeth gave Charles and Camilla permission to marry in 2005, and during a speech at their wedding reception said, "My son is home and dry with the woman he loves."
The Safe Place Prince Harry and Prince William Were When Diana Died
Princess Diana passed away in a tragic car accident in Paris in August 1997, and the abrupt loss of her life is still felt by both her family and the public that loved her. Diana, who had a tumultuous marriage to Prince Charles and a complicated relationship with the royal family in general before her death, didn't bring her children, Prince William and Prince Harry, with her during that fateful trip. Instead, the two boys, who were 15 and 12 at the time, were with their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
William and Harry were wrapping up spending the Summer with the queen at Balmoral Castle, a royal residence in Scotland. Since Diana's accident happened after midnight, the queen instructed her staff to not disturb the boys and to let them sleep in before telling them the news. She also reportedly had them remove all TVs and radios from the castle so the boys wouldn't hear gossip about their mother's death and could grieve in private.
Despite Queen Elizabeth receiving harsh backlash for the way she handled Diana's death, William later opened up about just how much his grandmother's consideration meant to him all those years ago. "Having lost my mother at a young age, it's been particularly important to me that I've had somebody like the queen to look up to and who's been there and who has understood some of the more complex issues when you lose a loved one," he said in the Sky News's documentary The Queen at 90. "She's been incredibly supportive and I've really appreciated her guidance."
Why I Regret My Abortion
This article written by Jamie Berube was originally featured on one of our favorite sites: YourTango.
His name would have been Jude.
The day I got an abortion I ate a grilled cheese and steak fries smothered in honey mustard at a bar before the appointment. The father of the fetus inside of me ordered a burger and a beer.
"Want to share some onion rings with me?" He smiled, knowing they were my favorite.
"Sounds perfect," I agreed, placing my menu down and doing my best to relax and not feel like an irredeemable screw-up with a scarlet "A" branded on my forehead - "A" for "baby-aborter," in my case.
I had been impregnated by a man whom I'll call "John," six weeks prior. This means that there was something the size of a pea growing inside my uterus.
I didn't want to have sex the night that it happened, but two heavy hits from a gravity bong at his best friend's apartment and the sound of John Coltrane's "Love Supreme" on the drive back to his place made me feel sexy and cool. We got back to his apartment and fell into his bed like two teenagers after prom.
He put on a song by Father John Misty called "Hollywood Forever Cemetery," and for the rest of my life whenever I hear that song I will think "that was the song that was playing the first time I got pregnant" - pregnant with a baby I couldn't keep.
He ordered the onion rings and another beer as we waited out another hour until my appointment.
It was a Saturday in mid-October and the air outside was so light and crisp you could snap your fingers against it. It was the quintessential southern Saturday. I thought about what some of my friends were doing that day. Probably watching football and grilling chicken while nursing cold beers by swimming pools and palm trees, or playing with their babies at the park in hoodies and jeans before a night out on the town.
And then there was me, with a fat, greasy onion ring dipped in ketchup between my fingers, contemplating the reality that I had become pregnant and would not be keeping my baby.
I've done a lot of "bad" things in my life. I've made choices that will forever haunt me no matter how much money I shell out for a shrink. But the choice that I made on that day, the choice to sign my name on a piece of paper that would give my consent to terminating a pregnancy is chief among the ones I regret most.
Yes, I regret my abortion.
I regret not thinking through it more carefully. I regret not considering that I might have been a really great mom. And I regret that there's no amount of regret that can reverse the decision I made.
I would have named her Penelope Wren (Penny, for short), and Amory Jude if he were a boy.
In the waiting room of the clinic, I skimmed through a cooking magazine and made fun of the fact that Homeward Bound was playing on the TV. Cell phones weren't allowed. They called me back and I met with three different nurses and was given a bottle of pills and a prescription for Percocet for pain.
Seeing a picture of the ultrasound made my eyes tear up. I could hardly make out anything but simply knowing there was the beginnings of a human behind that photo made it hard to breathe.
"You just take those pills at the directed times and then in three days it's over?" John confirmed after I explained the process.
"Yeah, not as complicated as I thought it would be," I shrugged.
Internally I felt suffocated by the grip of three thousand hands. How had my life come to this?
He dropped me off at my best friend's, Sarah's, apartment just as the sun had almost set. This was when everything changed.
"Okay, please call me if you need anything and keep me updated," John said in a strangely distant tone. "Is Sarah going to be here soon?"
I'd hoped John would stay but he had to be up early for work the next morning.
"Yeah, she's off of work in an hour. I'll be fine. You sure you don't want to stay?"
I knew what his answer would be before he opened his mouth.
"I really can't, I'm sorry. I want to, though." The way he looked down at his sneakers rather than into my eyes was telling enough. I went in for a hug and he embraced me. "You're so strong and I'm proud of you," he whispered in my ear.
I pulled back to kiss him but he turned his lips away so that mine landed on his cheek. And that's when I knew. I felt it in my gut. There was someone else. And after the abortion was over, we would be too.
I read over the instructions for when and how to take each pill around forty-eight times. It wasn't that it was complicated to understand, it was just easier to read over a sheet of paper printed with instructions for how to terminate a pregnancy than it was to face the reality that the man responsible was probably going to bed with another woman that night.
I put on Forrest Gump and cried all over my blue jeans. Sarah walked in and rushed over to hold me. I couldn't catch my breath long enough to say anything.
"It's okay, you'll be fine and this is going to be over soon and everything will be back to normal and you'll be okay..." her words gave me comfort. They were familiar and safe. And they were what kept me from possibly hurting myself because of what I'd done that night. Because right before she opened the door, I remembered I had a pair of toenail clippers in my purse and wondered how the blade would feel against my skin if I got creative enough.
The tears slowed down right during the scene where Forrest meets Jenny for the first time on the school bus. I was finally able to formulate a sentence and asked Sarah about her day.
"Just the usual...nothing worth noting," she came back with a bottle of Gatorade and a sleeve of Oreos. We ate every last one together.
"I have a feeling it would have been a boy," I said softly before taking a sip of Gatorade. "His name would have been Jude. Amory Jude. After Amory Blaine in This Side of Paradise, but he'd go by Jude so he wouldn't have to tell his friends his mom named him after a literary character and possibly get made fun of," I looked at Sarah in the eyes. "Because if I kept him, I'd never let anyone pick on him...ever," a tear fell onto the Gatorade bottle in my lap.
I took the first pill to begin the process - a process I had no clue I'd grow to deeply regret. Because I regret my abortion.
And because if I hadn't, his name would have been Jude.

9 Ways to Get Alcohol For Free on a Plane
Getting free alcohol on flights is sort of my thing. Don't judge me (or do - I'll still be sipping away the next time I fly), but I quite enjoy a drink on a long flight. Or two. Or . . . well, anyway. The point is, as a frequent flier who takes red-eyes, international flights, and flights from the West Coast to East Coast often, I've got a system for getting my drink on (responsibly, of course) while not spending all that much money on the pricey airplane alcohol. I could be selfish and guard these secrets with my life, but what's the fun in drinking alone? Cheers to your next flight, hopefully one where free booze flows thanks to these tips and tricks.
1. Be nice!
You'd be surprised just how far this can get you. Flight attendants have to deal with a slew of annoying issues and complaints constantly, so a friendly face among the masses of disgruntled travelers can really stand out. Make friends with whoever is serving you, be genuine, and, if you can, make them smile or laugh. This will encourage them to return the kindness in the form of liquid friendship, if you're lucky.
2. Fly on a holiday.
Flying on a major holiday has its perks and drawbacks. While it can be a bit lonely and disheartening to be on a plane while friends and family celebrate something special, you may just appear pitiful enough to score yourself some free booze, especially if you're flying solo. I've flown alone on several Christmas Days and have gotten free drinks every time.
3. Order extra.
One of my drinks of choice when I'm flying is a Bloody Mary, but I never need the entire can of tomato juice for just one little airplane bottle of vodka - it screws up the ratio, but I hate wasting the juice! So ask your flight attendant to toss in a second airplane bottle if you're feeling extra boozy. Often, they'll throw it in for free, and sometimes they'll even give you several. One glorious red-eye flight found me double-fisting four airplane bottles for the price of one after a fun chat with a flight attendant led to a successful solo happy hour (and a great night's sleep on the plane . . .).
4. Fly internationally.
Many international airlines and international flights will offer free alcohol, depending on who you're flying with, where you're flying to/from, and how long your flight is. Make sure to either ask or check out the in-flight information so that you don't miss out on any freebies.
5. Go to your flight attendant instead of making them come to you.
OK, I definitely don't mean you should bombard them! But if they've already completed the drink service and you're still feeling a little thirsty, try approaching your favorite flight attendant rather than using the dreaded call button. It saves them the hassle of navigating all the way back to your seat, and they may thank you for it by keeping their card reader stashed soundly in the liquor cart while they slip you the good stuff.
6. Be helpful!
If a poor kid (or adult - no judgment) who is scared of flying wants to sit with a family member but is separated from them, offer up your seat. If someone is placed in the emergency exit row and doesn't feel comfortable performing the tasks, switch seats with them. You will help simplify everyone's lives, and flight attendants really appreciate that. It gives them more incentive to pay it forward with a bottle of booze.
7. Let your flight attendant know it's your special day.
If you're flying on your birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, or other special event, let your flight attendant know! You shouldn't expect anything from them, but if you're fun and engaging, your flight attendant may want to help you celebrate by offering you a glass of Champagne to say cheers with you.
8. Fly first class.
This is a no-brainer, but an easy way to get free alcohol is to fly first class, where it's (almost always) included. While not technically free since you're paying for it with the price of your ticket, if you get an upgrade to first class without having to pay extra, then you're in luck! Some airlines also offer free drinks in business class as well.
9. Be a frequent flier of an airline.
Members of JetBlue's Mosaic, American Airline's Executive members, and United Global Services passengers all get the drink upgrades for their loyalty. If you're a member of a loyalty program with an airline, check out what benefits are offered to see if alcohol is included!
A Very Smart and Serious-Looking Prince George Attends His First Day of School
Prince George attended his first day of school today, arriving bright and early at Thomas's Battersea School in London. His mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, was unfortunately unable to be there for this special moment, as she is expecting her third child, and once again suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum.
Luckily, George was in very capable hands as he arrived at the school gates holding hands with his dad, Prince William. Here he was greeted by Helen Haslem, Head of the lower school, who shook the young royal's hand before escorting him and his dad into the building. George looked a little nervous as he approached the school, giving us a glimpse of that now-famous unimpressed face as he walked past photographers, showing off his smart school uniform. Keep reading to see more photos of George's big day.

The 1 Thing to Brush on Turkey to Make It Ultra Crispy and Golden Brown
Everyone yearns to pull out a perfectly golden-brown turkey with crisp skin, but what's the trick? I asked a Turkey Talk expert at Butterball, who said America has got to stop basting and glazing. I know this goes against everything generations before you may have said, but basting the bird just cools down the oven and makes the turkey take longer to reach the right temperature.
The turkey skin will brown, so long as you brushed it with a high-heat oil or clarified butter before putting in the oven. Butterball says turkey skin is like a raincoat and the drippings just drip right off, anyway. So why bother basting? The drippings can be used for the gravy.
In addition, don't open the oven repeatedly. It's so tempting to check on the bird, but use the oven light for that. Position the turkey and the oven-safe thermometer in such a way that you can read the temperature through the window. However, if your oven doesn't have a window (or you don't have an oven-safe thermometer), there's always simple math. Calculate the amount of time it will take you to cook the bird, and rely on a timer.
What This Waiter Asked 4 Latina Women at a Restaurant Will Infuriate You
Diana Carrillo, a 24-year-old business analyst from Orange County, CA, thought she was just going out for a meal with her three girlfriends at Saint Marc's Pub-Cafe. But instead she found herself being asked for proof of residency by a waiter before he would serve her. "For a few seconds I thought maybe he was being a smart ass or joking," she wrote in a Facebook post. "But the fact that he said 'I need to make sure you're from here before I serve you' was completely unacceptable."
A few friends and I went to Saint Marc's in Huntington Beach today. My sister and my friend were seated first and the...

After the women handed over their IDs to the waiter, they decided to report him to the manager, who reportedly offered to seat them in a separate section. The four women decided to leave the establishment altogether.
Kent Bearden, senior director of operations at Saint Marc's, told The Washington Post that the company had fired the waiter following his misconduct. "My concern is he violated a company policy," Bearden said. "We're very specific about how we treat out guests. That individual did not treat a table of guests to the expectations that we set forth in that company policy, and that caused him to be terminated."
After Carrillo's Facebook post went viral with over 1,000 shares and over 400 comments, the restaurant pledged to donate 10 percent of its weekend earnings to a nonprofit organization of the ladies' choice. Saint Marc's also offered to host the women with a VIP experience at the restaurant. The women ultimately declined on the meal but asked that the money be donated to Orange County Immigrant Youth United.
44 Disney Cruise Hacks You Need to Know Before Sailing
We've all got it wrong, because the happiest place on earth is not a Disney park, but a Disney cruise. Yep, I said it. I love Disneyland and Disney World as much as the next Disney devotee, but there are some drawbacks to the parks (like hordes of people, inescapable heat, and long lines) that you just don't deal with while sailing blissfully on blue seas. I recently took the Disney Fantasy's Western Caribbean trip for seven nights, and while I went in a little hesitant about the whole affair, my skepticism about being on board a ship with thousands of people - many of whom barely reached my waist - was checked at the entrance of the ship and buried deeper as the days went by.

Yes, You Can Become Debt-Free Even on 1 Income
It was a crazy thought - paying off and cutting up every single one of my credit cards. It was an even crazier thought that one day we may not owe anyone a single dime.
I kept thinking to myself, "It'll never happen" and "I'm a stay-at-home mom with another baby on the way and my husband is a contractor, we can't make this work." But little by little, we did.
We killed off over $55,000 of debt in just two years all while living on one income and growing our family of five. It was anything but easy, but it was the best decision we ever made - to become debt-free.
Our family members looked at us like we had lost our minds when we told them we no longer had a credit card for "emergencies" and when we got rid of our fully loaded Mac Daddy Tahoe for a well-loved, paid-for Sequoia with leather interior being the only bells and whistles it has.
My friends thought I was insane when I started walking dogs for extra money to pay off our debt even faster. "Uh, you're hugely pregnant and you're walking dogs in this heat?! Y'all must really need the money."
And the truth is, we did need the money. We needed every penny because we had a crazy plan of paying off all our debt. And this year, we are going to finish that plan and pay off our house.
By now, our friends and family don't think we're crazy anymore because they've seen firsthand the blessing that becoming free from the hold of debt has been to our family. My husband was able to quit a job that he no longer loved in favor of starting his own business again and being home more with our three children. We've been able to give like never before without fear that we won't have enough money left to pay the bills. We've been able to send our two oldest children to a private preschool, and we've been able to go on several vacations. All without using credit cards and all while paying off debt.
It hasn't been easy, but then again, nothing worthwhile ever is. If you want to join my family in the crazy and pay off debt, here's how you get started:
1. Stop Using It
In order to completely become debt-free, you have to make a commitment to stop using debt - of any kind. That means no more credit cards, no more taking out loans of any kind, and no more borrowing money from a relative.
It'll be scary at first, like real scary. You'll feel a little panic like you won't know what to do if this or that happens, which is why you must do step two . . .
2. Start Saving
Trust me when I tell you this - once you make the declaration to become debt-free, all of a sudden all these worries and panic will hit you. You'll start worrying how you'll pay to fix the car when it breaks down or how you'll pay your insurance deductible if an emergency happens. This is why you must absolutely start building up an emergency fund.
Start with your starting point - talk to your spouse about how much you want to save first. It could be as little as $500 and as high as $5,000. The point with the starting point is to pick a number that works well for your family but is not overwhelming.
A great emergency fund will end up having six months of your living expenses saved in it. Which for most folks, if you tallied up how much money it takes you to live every month, then multiply that number by six, it's probably at least $20,000 if not more.
The truth is that if you tried to make $20,000 your starting point instead of, say, $1,000, you'd end up overwhelmed and feeling defeated when you struggled to save up that amount. Don't do that to yourself. Pick a starting point that you can realistically save in the next month to three months.
Then once you've reached your starting point, pick another point and work your way up to your six-month emergency fund goal.
3. Pick Your Method
There are a lot of arguments in the personal finance community of which debt payoff method is better - the debt avalanche method or the debt snowball method. For me personally, I love the debt snowball method (and it's the one we used) because it helps you build up momentum and keeps you from feeling frustrated by little visible progress.
But obviously, you should pick the method that best works for you and your family. In case you're not familiar with these methods, here's how they work:
- Debt Snowball Method: In this method, you pay off the lowest balance debt first and then "snowball" up from there to the next lowest balance debt.
- Debt Avalanche Method: In this method, you pay off the debt with the highest interest rate and then "avalanche" from there down to the next highest interest rate debt.
4. Which Debt to Start With?
Once you've decided on the method you're going to use, you'll then pick which debt you're going to start paying off. In order to pay off this debt, you're going to have to throw every extra penny that you have at it.
5. Stick to It
This is the hard part of killing off the debt monster. You have to stay committed and focused to paying off your debt. Even when there are setbacks (and there will be setbacks!), you must keep going. The debts aren't going to pay off themselves.
Always remember to give yourself grace when you hit a stumbling block, but don't be afraid to get back up and back to work. Write down what your life will look like once you're debt-free, and keep that as inspiration for those tough days to help keep you motivated.
