11 Creative Recipes That Use Your Favorite Spice: Tajín
From my experience, a fruity or savory snack had in Mexico is totally incomplete without at least a tiny sprinkle of Tajín - though I prefer a generous serving. The chili-lime seasoning you and I have known and loved forever is gaining more popularity across the US (among non-Mexican Latinx like me and even non-Latinx) with Trader Joe's releasing a copycat version of their own. My Mexican fiancé and I prefer to keep a bottle of the original in our pantry at all times, of course!
If you're looking to embrace the seasoning for the first time, or are looking for new ways to enjoy your favorite, we've rounded up a variety of recipes that use Tajín to make everything from simple, crunchy jicama sticks to a classic mangonada drink, so much better.

This Is the Stupidest Mistake You Can Make at Whole Foods
I recently had the misfortune of discovering the most expensive item in the ready-made hot foods section of Whole Foods. Knowing everything is priced by the pound, I thought I was being smart and conscientious when I filled up the smallest container with mashed potatoes. "They surely couldn't charge more than $5 for a small box of potatoes, right?" I told myself.
I proudly walked the items up to the cash register, and the cashier weighed my tiny box. My stomach flopped when "$14" appeared on the screen. "Excuse me, sir. Did you accidentally rest your hand on the scale? I couldn't possibly have just scooped $14 worth of potatoes into that container," I said, trying to ease my discomfort. He chuckled and shook his head, "There's no mistake. The hot bar is the 'Whole' in 'Whole Paycheck,' hon." There was no chance I could abandon the container either. Once scooped, must purchase. I simultaneously felt robbed and like a complete idiot.
FYI, everyone, the hot bar is $8.99 a pound. Let it be known that the smallest container fills approximately 1.6 pounds worth of mashed potatoes. Also worth noting, the mashed potatoes from the hot bar are the same price in the hot deli: $8.99. I'm never, ever, ever going back to the Whole Foods hot bar . . . that is, until the 365 by Whole Foods store opens in my neighborhood and the hot bar is priced by the container size, not by weight. The same container at a 365 store would cost me $5.50, a MUCH more reasonable price for mashed potatoes.

You're Going to Want to Steal This Family's Idea For an Ikea Photo Shoot
For most people, Ikea is the go-to store for everything from furniture you can assemble yourself to practical dishware options. But Amber and Steven Cox from St. Louis saw the Swedish megastore as something more: an awesome place to stage a family photo shoot with their 7-month-old son, Ezra.
Tammi Camp, a photographer at The Lovely Lens Photography and lifelong friend of Amber Cox, explained how they came up with the idea to POPSUGAR: "She and I wanted to do something fun and unique. It was important to her to do a more lifestyle approach, which is what I specialize in. She mentioned how she shops at Ikea, and we knew then that it was the perfect location!"
From playing house in a demo kitchen to tinkering with toys in a makeshift kids' playroom, this family proved home is where the affordable, easy-to-assemble furniture is.
If You Can Figure Out What's Going on in the Wonder Wheel Trailer, We'll Be Impressed
Justin Timberlake and Kate Winslet have a Summertime romance in the first trailer for Woody Allen's Wonder Wheel. Set during the 1950s in Brooklyn's Coney Island, the story centers around a former actress (Winslet), who works at the local seafood joint when she happens to fall for the attractive lifeguard down at the beach (Timberlake). Oh, did we mention she's also married? Cue the drama. The trailer is quirky and nostalgic, but it also features some very crucial shots of Timberlake's legs in an old-timey bathing suit. See the full trailer above before the film's release on Dec. 1, aka Allen's birthday.
Why Resilience in the Workplace Matters - and How to Cultivate It
Resilience is that grit, clarity, flexibility, and deep-seated cool that leaves one looking unvexed, no matter how high the stakes. Those who've cultivated resilience possess an unflappable confidence, focus, and composure. They handle whatever emotional distractions come their way without projecting their inner turmoil.
Athletes tend to be stellar practitioners. From Little Leaguers to pros, the ones who ace their game have a deep inner resilience - you can't discern by their body language whether they've thrown a strike or a ball. No matter what the crowd is chanting, they seem cool and collected when they take aim at the free-throw line. Their facial expression doesn't change when they bobble on the balance beam; they simply check their balance and continue. The best athletes have head game. They know how to keep the pressure from blowing their cover.
We would do well to adopt their strategies on the professional front. Cultivating resilience - remaining poised and controlled, no matter what the stakes - is a sound strategy. Resilience is a practiced mindset, however. Here's how to start.
Know your truth.
Work is important. It benefits you financially, intellectually, and socially. But work doesn't define you, and neither do your colleagues. You know yourself; you define yourself.
Sometimes it can feel like others are trying to reduce you by talking down to you, taking your projects away, or giving you new projects that seem beneath your qualifications. In those moments, it's important to examine your feelings and try to understand the reaction you're having.
Do you feel insulted? Do you worry that the added work will be too much? Once you understand why you're having this negative reaction, try to explain it to someone outside the situation whom you trust to offer clarity and support. It's a good rule of thumb in the professional sphere not to react to feelings before you fully understand them.
Clarity is key. If you can first understand and then communicate your needs, clearly and calmly, you'll earn a better result than if you try to lead a communication initiative with your emotions. Don't call a meeting with your boss, only to explore your feelings there. If you are planning an important conversation and you need to be heard, clarity and calm will serve you better than emotion and bluster.
Conserve your energy for what most requires it.
In their book The Confidence Code, authors Katty Kay and Claire Shipman explain that many women tend to drain their energy by overanalyzing. The authors explain: "Women spend far too much time undermining themselves with tortured cycles of useless self-recrimination. It is the opposite of taking action, the cornerstone of confidence. There is a formal word for it: ruminating."
If you're spending your off time worrying about a mistake you may have made or a misunderstanding you may have caused or what a coworker may think of you, then you are burning precious energy on ifs and mights. Don't worry about things unnecessarily.
Think about our athletes. Imagine what it does to their game if they are up all night, worried about how everyone will react to a bad pitch they haven't yet thrown, a missed shot they haven't yet taken, or a balance beam wobble that hasn't yet happened. It would rob them of a night's rest, which is vital to their success. It's vital to yours, too.
Don't rob yourself by ruminating. Emotionally discipline yourself to draw that line. If you feel anxious about work, go to yoga, take a walk, call a friend, work in your garden. Do something that actually serves you, not something that ties you up in knots.
Practice good workplace hygiene.
Run a clean game. Aimless gossip is bad for morale. It's poor professional hygiene, and it wastes your time. Use your time in ways that benefit you better.
Don't vent at work, for the same reasons. People tend to indulge in emotionally chaotic behavior when they think they've earned the right and when they believe justice is on their side. But try to think about the strategy of that. Consider how it impacts your game.
Professionals, like athletes, have to hone soft emotional skills along with their hard physical skills. It requires practice and emotional discipline. But it's worth it because it ups your game.

If you're going on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, you're going to get a good scare. Selena Gomez is one of the many celebrities who can attest to that. And even though Selena claims she loves to be scared, the singer and actress utters a legitimate scream every time someone jumps behind her or from a box. 5 Fenty Beauty Highlighters I'll Proudly Slather on My Skin Every Damn Day
When I found out that Rihanna was releasing a makeup line, like most of you, I freaked the f*ck out. For starters, I'm a huge fan of her music. Secondly, I was so damn proud that a black woman had created products that represent the various, beautiful shades of brown skin. I'm also slightly biased because of my Caribbean heritage. So naturally, Rihanna is my Bajan sister in my head. But the bottom line is: I needed to get Fenty everything on my face ASAP.
Among the buzziest items from the collection are the highlighters - Trophy Wife being, arguably, the most popular one (so far). The highlighter has graced the cheekbones of influencers, bloggers, and even babies since its reveal. I've tried it out myself (you can see what it looks like here).
To call the powder "extra" is an understatement. It literally goes on like pure gold dust. But to be perfectly honest, Trophy Wife didn't scream "everyday highlighter" to me. Instead, it felt more like a collector's item that I can pull out for extraspecial occasions. But even though it wasn't my highlighter of choice, I was still able to find five illuminating products from the line that made my cheekbones pop and were suitable for everyday wear.
Ahead you can see what five different Fenty Beauty highlighters look like on my complexion, along with a review of each one. Trophy Wife may be the star of the show, but these are deserving of trophies, too.
Hold Up: Is Grey's Anatomy Setting Meredith Up For Another Tragedy?
We've finally reached the 14th season of Grey's Anatomy, and we have a lot to go over. Stephanie and Minnick are gone. Teddy has returned. Amelia has a brain tumor. Tons of people are having sex. While all of these developments are utterly shocking in their own right, there's an even bigger (and much scarier) plot point that the season premiere very subtly alludes to: Meredith might be developing Alzheimer's sooner rather than later. While it may seem like a reach, and this is admittedly something I'm parsing out on my own, these red flags are too big to ignore.
1. Meredith Is a Ticking Time Bomb
Let's go back to season nine, when Meredith asks Bailey to test for her susceptibility to Alzheimer's. Meredith's results come back positive for more than one of the genetic markers for Alzheimer's disease, and I'd argue that creator Shonda Rhimes planted this seed then. Meredith is practically doomed to get the disease at some point before the end of the series. It's the ultimate heartbreak and a poetic full-circle moment for the character as she follows in the footsteps of her brilliant mother. When you keep in mind that this has been hanging over Meredith's head for about six seasons, you have to realize it gets more and more likely as each one comes and goes.
That's why it's important to establish that Meredith has this genetic predisposition to the disease. It means that she's almost undoubtedly going to get it in her lifetime. But the fact that she already tests positive for some of the genetic markers means it could happen sooner rather than later. That's how the show establishes that her Alzheimer's will be early onset and that she'll likely get it while she's still young (even though it's a disease that primarily affects the elderly).
2. That Angry Break Room Rampage
When Meredith's solution to fix Owen's sister doesn't pan out with the first go-round, she explodes. She throws a mini tantrum in the operating room, and then it escalates to a full-blown meltdown behind closed doors. Meredith destroys the break room. She throws objects off the counters. She breaks all the mugs! Finally, she storms out.
In the past 14 seasons, we've never quite witnessed an explosion of this caliber from Meredith Grey, at least not in regards to her career as a surgeon. Sure, we've seen epic fights with friends and loved ones, and she's had her moments of blind rage, but there was something about this outburst that struck me as odd. According to the official Alzheimer's Association website, this kind of emotional flare-up could be a preliminary marker for the disease. "In early stages of the disease," the site reads, "people may experience personality changes such as irritability, anxiety or depression."
I know, I know: Meredith's character has been struggling with all of these things since the beginning of the show. It's no secret that she has a "dark and twisty" personality, and she's been dragged down by the overwhelming amount of tragedy in her life. But if Alzheimer's causes a personality shift in someone who is already prone to depression, anxiety, and irritability, wouldn't you argue that these traits might increase ten-fold as the disease manifests? This outburst seems to fall in line with that distinction. Meredith is already kind of angry about her circumstances, but something smaller (even a nonfatal misstep in a surgery) triggers something much larger.
3. Richard's Offhand Comments to Maggie
When Meredith first goes into meltdown mode, Dr. Webber says to Maggie, "She looks and sounds just like her mother." Later, as she attempts her cutting-edge abdominal wall transplant, he echoes the sentiment. "You came here to find out what your biological mother was like?" he asks Maggie. "There it is."
This is a two-fold piece of foreshadowing. Although Meredith has certainly proven her prowess as a surgeon plenty of times, the 14th season premiere is the first time she comes across as utterly brilliant and in a class above the rest. I can't remember another time where Webber so explicitly compares her to Ellis Grey, even though he's done it in smaller ways throughout the history of the show. Prior to the premiere, the subtext is, "Meredith is just like her mother." In the wake of the premiere, though, it's shifted to "Meredith has become her mother."
It's clear, at this point, that Meredith has more or less completed her journey as a surgeon. She has lived up to her mother's legacy. She's at the top of her game. From here, there's nothing to do but fall. Meredith's rise to success has created the impression that she's fulfilling some kind of doomed prophecy. As a surgeon who is prone to Alzheimer's, whose brilliant mother suffered the same fate, her battle with the disease seems more imminent than ever. The premiere seems to offer the first hints of Meredith's affliction. If I'm not reading too far into nothing - I'll admit, it's a possibility - there's a chance we'll see it manifest in other troubling ways throughout the rest of season 14.

Why You Shouldn't Take Your Kids on Vacation Until They're Old Enough to Appreciate It
My most recent vacation was about a month ago in Cabo, but before that, it had been about 11 years since I had last traveled. Some of my fondest memories with my family are from when I was in middle school, when the three of us enjoyed cruises and trips that I remember vividly to this day. But during my younger days, like 4 or 5 years old, we vacationed in places like Cancun, Jamaica, and Hawaii, and I can't tell if I actually recall those memories or if I'm filling in the gaps through photo albums. A frequent discussion I have with my coworkers and friends, who are also in their 20s, is how we wish our parents had taken us on more vacations when we were much older.
Maybe it's because I'm not yet a parent, but when I see families at the airport with their toddlers, I can't help but think, "What a waste." As I was recently waiting to board my flight back to San Francisco, a pair of parents with a 4-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son were almost bragging to the couple ahead of us about how many times they'd taken their kids to Disney World and on vacations abroad. It's amazing that they're fortunate enough to provide incredible experiences at such a young age, but will their children remember all the travel when they're older? Because I know I don't, and I definitely wasn't able to appreciate any of it.
What I suggest is to hold off on those grand vacations until your kid is about 12, when they can begin to understand what a privilege it is, and maybe save the international travel until they're in high school. Of course, I do understand that sometimes, it's not about the kids, and that the parents just want to enjoy a vacation. But in other cases, when the main goal is to create family memories, you can still accomplish that in other ways. With year-round extracurriculars during my teen years, I was unable to take any time off, and working during college didn't allow me to study abroad. It wasn't until college that I realized how important travel is, and I can't tell you how many times I've thought about wanting to redo those family trips now. Especially during a time in my life when an international trip is outside of my budget, I think about how much money my parents spent on our vacations that ended up being a complete blur.
I'm not telling you to deprive your children of fun family memories, either. I'm simply arguing that you should travel locally or within your state, because although your little ones might not care about the destination, they will remember that you were all together and having a great time. That's the most important thing, anyway.

Warning: This Workout Will Wake Up Muscles You Didn't Know Existed
If you love a challenge and are always looking for new ways to work out, you're going to be a huge fan of AMRAP workouts. AMRAPs, short for "as many reps as possible," are timed workouts where you race against the clock to get in as many reps of a set of exercises as possible.
"When doing AMRAPs, you get to go at your own pace and really focus on technique, which allows more control over every movement," said Austin Lopez, CSCS and founder of Ausome Fit. "Because of this, you're often doing better work than you might in a high-intensity workout, where form is often sacrificed for speed." But, as you do build up your technique and form, you can challenge yourself to increase the total number of reps you complete in each round and will find yourself totally out of breath as you would during any intense HIIT session.
Ready to give it a go? Lopez grouped these moves together - jump squats, push-ups, and burpees - because they work the entire body, which helps you maximize every second spent in the workout.
The Workout
Perform each move for 30 seconds, completing as many reps as possible. After completing the third and final move in the circuit, rest for 45 seconds before beginning again. Run through the circuit a total of four times.
The 7 Exercises Everyone Should Know
As a fitness editor, I have done my fair share of workouts. Videos, classes, personal training - you name it, I've probably done it. In all of the workouts I have done, the same seven exercises appear again and again, and for good reason. Not only do these moves tend to form the foundation of more challenging variations, but they are also incredibly functional and work major muscle groups of the body.
If you're new to fitness or are just looking for a refresher, it's a good idea to get acquainted with the following exercises. Doing so will help give you the foundation to excel at more complicated moves, while also providing you the health benefits from focusing on exercises that are truly useful in everyday life. Best of all? You won't need a single piece of equipment to do a single one.

This Halloween, Dress Up as a Parent's Worst Nightmare: The Fidget Spinner
Like it or not, the fidget spinner was everywhere this year. Though its exact origins are still up for debate, the anti-anxiety gadget became especially popular in the Spring. Seemingly overnight, fidget spinners were suddenly everywhere - at schools, in workplaces, and on your commute. Shortly thereafter, schools began banning the toys, as they were distracting students. If you're up to the challenge, supersize the fidget spinner to dress up as the year's most ubiquitous toy for Halloween.
How to Create It Yourself
Want to blissfully spin your way through Halloween? Here's what you'll need for your fidget spinner costume:
- A cardboard box
- Foam boards
- Your paint color of choice
- A paintbrush
- Glue
- Cotton string
- Scissors
Prepare to get a little crafty with this costume. To start, you're going to want to trace the fidget spinner shape onto two sizable pieces of cardboard. Once you're satisfied with your shape, cut out the shapes using scissors or a box cutter. On two foam boards, trace and cut out a smaller circle that will act as the center cap. Glue each center cap onto a fidget spinner cutout. Paint the cutouts with your color of choice.
On either side of the fidget spinner, poke out a small hole using scissors or a hole punch, and weave your cotton string through the holes. Repeat on the second cutout and tie the strings together in the middle. You should be left with a sandwich board so that the front and back of the fidget spinner hang from your shoulders. Bonus points awarded to anyone who walks around with actual fidget spinners while wearing their fidget spinner costume. Dare us to say fidget spinner one more time? Fidget spinner!

Set your alarms, mark your calendars, and most importantly, grab your wallets, because the time has FINALLY come. After many (agonizing) months of teasers, Storybook Cosmetics is releasing its highly anticipated black rose makeup brushes! [Insert squeals and maybe even a few happy tears here.]
To refresh your memory, Storybook Cosmetics released the dreamiest makeup brushes that looked just like the enchanted rose from Beauty and the Beast right around the time of the movie's premiere earlier this year. And now that Halloween is approaching, the brand decided it was the perfect time to release a darker, spookier version of the original ones (which are still available online, BTW!). These new brushes are all black except for the crimson-red bristle ends, making for an edgy beauty accessory that even yellow-dress-donning Belle would totally splurge on.
Now, we don't have too many official details about these beauties yet, as Storybook Cosmetics announced the release with a short and sweet caption: "October 10th! LIMITED EDITION." The company has been teasing them on Instagram since the Summer, with each post sending makeup mavens into a full-on frenzy. The teasers made it look like the brushes would have a matte black finish, but it somewhat looks like the final design has a bit of a shinier finish. If they're anything like the original rose brushes, they'll come in a set of four (including a tapered highlighting brush, angled contour brush, flat-top powder brush, and dome-top powder brush) and will likely be around the same price ($55 for the whole "bouquet").
It's unclear how long these limited-edition beauties will be available for purchase, but we're predicting a quick sellout. Memorize those credit card numbers, set storybookcosmetics.com as your homepage, and prepare for Oct. 10, fellow goth queens. In the meantime, check out the teasers ahead for an up-close look at these gloriously edgy makeup brushes.

You Won't Sleep After Reading the Grisly Facts of the Menendez Brothers' Murder Case
This year marks 28 years since Erik and Lyle Menendez brutally murdered their mother and father in the family's Southern California home, putting the wheels in motion for one of the most infamous trials of the 20th century. ABC drudged up the disturbing case for a primetime special, Truth and Lies: The Menéndez Brothers - American Sons, American Murderers, back in January; Lifetime revived the story in June with the movie Menendez: Blood Brothers; and this month comes Law & Order True Crime - The Menendez Murders. On the off chance that you're not familiar with the case, here's a brief overview of the very complicated crime.
Who Are the Menendez Brothers?
Joseph Lyle and Erik Galen, born in 1968 and 1970, respectively, were children of privilege. Their father, José, worked his way up the corporate ladder to become the CEO of the (now defunct) film studio LIVE Entertainment. Their mother, Mary Louise "Kitty" Andersen, was a stay-at-home mother. The family lived in Chicago and New Jersey before relocating to the affluent suburb of Calabasas, CA, in 1987. Lyle got into Princeton but was suspended after being accused of plagiarism. Both boys - who were unusually close - were bred to be tennis pros, and their father pushed them to be the best.
The Murders
On the night of Aug. 20, 1989, José and Kitty were relaxing in their den, watching the James Bond flick The Spy Who Loved Me. Lyle and Erik ambushed them from behind, shooting José in the back of the head and crippling Kitty with a gunshot wound to the leg when she tried to run. They shot her so many times that her face was unrecognizable by the time police arrived on the scene. Because of their father's alleged ties to organized crime, the brothers tried to make it look like a mob hit by shooting out their parents' kneecaps. After the deed was done, they went to the movies and met up with some friends to provide an alibi. Later that night, Lyle called the police, screaming that someone had killed his parents.
The Aftermath
While investigators initially had no reason to suspect Erik and Lyle, the brothers started exhibiting strange behavior for people whose parents had been recently murdered. Lyle went on a spending spree, buying a Porsche and a buffalo wings restaurant in New Jersey. Erik went to Israel to compete in tennis tournaments. They went on extravagant trips together, racking up over half a million dollars in purchases in the months after their parents' deaths. Unable to take the guilt, Erik confessed to the murder in a session with his psychiatrist. The psychiatrist's girlfriend overheard the conversation and went to the police when the relationship fell apart. The brothers were arrested in March 1990.
The Trial
In the courtroom, Lyle and Erik showed little remorse for what they'd done. A damning piece from the LA Times detailed, "The brothers, appearing at a series of evidentiary hearings in recent weeks, have appeared at ease, smiling at their girlfriends and relatives who show up for support." However, as more and more evidence began to pile up, the unbelievable truth came out. They had gotten the idea to kill their parents from the movie The Billionaire Boys Club. Erik had even written a screenplay with his friend; the movie was about a rich kid who murders his parents to inherit their fortune. The brothers searched for a pitiable motive, alleging that their father molested them. The juries (one for Lyle and one for Erik) failed to agree on a verdict, resulting in a mistrial.
While the first trial was highly publicized thanks to the new channel CourtTV (aka TruTV), the second trial gained far less attention. Another reason the Menendez brothers fell out of the public eye? America had moved onto another high-profile murder case: that of O.J. Simpson, who had been accused of killing Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. While the public had lost much of their initial interest in the brothers, Erik and Lyle were convicted and sentenced to life in prison in 1996. Their appeals have been denied, and they have no chance of parole.
Lyle Menendez is currently serving his time at the Mule Creek State Prison in California, while Erik is residing 200 miles away in a cell in the Pleasant Valley State Prison.
Law & Order True Crime - The Menendez Murders premieres on Sept. 26.

3 Natural DIY Face Masks That Desi Girls Swear by For Glowing Skin
Although these ingredients may seem like items from a desi Grandma's recipe book, nothing gives you the glow like natural remedies from the comfort of your kitchen. I have been using them for years, and I cannot thank enough the generations of desi women before me who have been creative enough to find solutions to their skin problems within their kitchens. Whatever your skin concerns, these DIY face masks are the simplest way to getting clearer, more radiant skin.
Take a look at some of my favorite picks. You might find something that really works for you.
Gram Flour, Turmeric, and Milk Mask
Even though you might see several versions of this one, I find that the most basic version has been the most effective for a lot of people. This mask has to be your go-to for that instant glow. It works well to deep cleanse the skin and to remove the dead skin off of your face. Although this mask is excellent for dry to normal skin, you can replace the milk with curd for oily skin.
Simply take two tablespoons of gram flour and add half a teaspoon of turmeric powder to the same. Add the required amount of milk to make it into a paste. Apply the mask onto a clean face, and leave it on until it dries out. Wash it off with cold water to get bright, radiant skin.
Tomato Paste Mask
Tomato works beautifully to soak up the extra oil on the skin, and it is superrich in antioxidants, as well. To DIY, take a ripe tomato, and make a fine paste out of it in your blender. Make sure the paste is thick enough to be applied onto your face. Clean your face with warm water to open up the pores, and leave the mask on for about 15 to 20 minutes. Wash off the mask with cold water to seal the pores. Yay for gorgeous, glowing skin!
Egg and Honey Face Pack
This one is perfect for those Winter mornings when your skin feels dry and patchy. Simply whip up a mixture of one egg yolk and a teaspoon of honey, and apply it to a clean face. Leave it on for about 15 minutes before washing it off. Did you know eggs can be used in several ways to get clear skin?
So, there you go. Try out these packs over a period of time to see proper results. Wishing you all a healthy and glowing skin!
Who Is Running For President in 2020?
Donald Trump hasn't even completed his first year in office, but presidential hopefuls from all parties are already lining up in public, in private, or in our dreams to run against him and take office in 2020. While very few political players have publicly spoken up about intentions to run, the signs that someone is running - serious fundraising, visiting battleground states, making political appearances, releasing a book, etc. - often make their ambitions fairly clear well before they're official.
So who might President Trump - if he is, in fact, the GOP's candidate - face in three and a half years? Here's a look at 17 people who seem to be laying the foundation for a presidential run in 2020, two who are already trumpeting their 2020 campaigns, and eight people who say they absolutely will not run.
Still Not Over Wonder Woman? Here's Everything You Need to Be Diana Prince For Halloween
The standalone Wonder Woman film revolutionized the model for big-budget superhero flicks. In addition to becoming one of the highest-grossing superhero films of all time, Wonder Woman also attracted a whole new crowd of fans who previously felt excluded by the genre. Portrayed by Gal Gadot, the film's titular character, also known as Diana Prince, has gone on to inspire many young girls and adult women. This Halloween, you can armor up with Wonder Woman's traditional uniform or re-create Diana's stunning blue gown - you know the scene - for a more unexpected option.

How to Create It Yourself
Want to channel your inner Amazonian warrior this Halloween? Here's what you'll need for battle:
- A red strapless top
- High-waisted blue skirt
- Gold cuff bracelets
- A gold arm band
- A gold headpiece
- A toy sword and shield
- Thigh-high boots
Since Wonder Woman's armor is so recognizable, you really only need a few elements to pull it off. Pair a red top with a blue skirt, add lots of gold accessories, and complete your look with a sword and shield, of course.
To re-create Diana's undercover ensemble, here's what you'll need:
- A blue draped floor-length gown
- A toy sword
- A bun or updo
For Diana's gala ensemble, slip into a blue floor-length gown and tuck your toy sword into the back of the dress so that the handle is peeking out at the top. Then, simply sweep your hair up into a bun or similar updo to really accentuate the hidden sword element.

23 Cruise Hacks That Will Change Your Entire Trip
Image Source: Flickr user Roderick Eime
There's no shortage of reasons to love cruises. The gourmet dining, picture-perfect views of the water, nearly all-inclusive charges, and diverse travel in a minimized time frame make cruising one of the most enjoyable and convenient vacations to take. If you're planning to sail in the future, keep these hacks in mind. These tips are sure to make your nautical experience the best it can be!
- Turn off your phone's roaming service. Before boarding, be sure to turn off your phone's roaming service, or you'll rack up major data expenses. A cruise's WiFi can be spotty and pricey, so it may in your greatest interest to simply unplug altogether and enjoy being in the present.
- Take a tour of the ship when you first board. This way, you know where everything is right off the bat. You'll spend the next week or so exploring the neat nooks and crannies!
- Seek extra storage in the room. Be sure to ask staffers about the storage in your room - chances are, there's more space for your luggage than you realize!

- Pack magnets. Many cabins are made of metal, so you should pack a few magnets. The decor will make your room feel more at home, and it's convenient when you want to hang up documents or photos during your stay.
- Pack a power strip. If you're cruising with multiple people, bring a power strip so you don't have to fight over open outlets. Some companies, like Disney Cruise Line, don't allow them, so check the policy before you go!
- Look for the free ice cream machines. Dessert-lovers, you won't want to miss the free ice cream machines plus toppings placed around many ships. Make it a game to find them . . . or, you know, ask an employee.

- Bring motion sickness patches. Even if you're not usually prone to motion sickness, it's a good idea to bring a box of patches along anyway for you or the friends and family you came with. Sometimes the ship sways severely.
- Ask room service for help with nausea. You can also enlist the help of room service if you're feeling unwell. Cruise workers are used to seasick passengers, and they may bring you certain foods like apples and crackers to ease the nausea.
- Make sure you know the tipping policy for room service. Your cruise line may implement autogratuities, where a specific amount is charged to your account daily. On other ships, tips may not be necessary at all. Ask the cruise staff ahead of time, or look up the policy online.
- Plan your port days beforehand. Map out what you're going to do when you reach your destinations well before you leave the boat so you don't waste any time on land.
- Take advantage of free classes. These may be included in your cruise package and can range from exercise classes like spinning to towel art lessons. Be sure to ask around, and do your research!

- Bring free food from the buffets with you on port days. This will save you money if you don't want to spend it on local food.
- Don't spend money on basic toiletries. Similar to a hotel, your cruise will provide these.
- Bring your own booze. Some ships allow you to take on a certain amount of your own alcohol, but some don't, so make sure you're aware of the ship's policy on this.
- Use a wallet case for your phone. Keep your cash, cards, and phone together so you don't have to drag around a purse or backpack. Also, you're less likely to lose any of these important items when they're not floating around separately.
- Nap on the lounge chairs. Feeling exhausted? Don't nap in the room. Instead, take a snooze on a lounge chair on the upper deck. The breeze and the sun are beyond relaxing - just be sure to wear SPF.

- Go in the pool or hot tub after dinner. Most people are off doing activities after the final meal, so the pool and hot tub should be less crowded at this time.
- See the live shows whenever you get the chance. These are well worth the money, since you can't get the same experience anywhere else. Make a point to see at least one or two!
- Make a list of all the things you want to see and do. An organized checklist will help you remember all the amazing activities you wish to dabble in. Consider devising an entire itinerary, if it's not too stressful.
- Catch a glimpse of the water during peak times. The ocean looks particularly beautiful at sunrise, sunset, and beneath the moonlight.
Image Source: Flickr user Roderick Eime
- Play trivia to make new friends. The cruise may have designated trivia times. Participating is a great way to mingle on the ship.
- Ask about exclusive ship souvenirs. Your cruise line might offer special trinkets to commemorate your trip.
- Don't wait till the last day to do everything. If something interesting on the ship jumps out at you (like a themed bar or water slide), don't put off checking it out. Trust us, your trip will
flycruise by quicker than you realize, and you'll never want to find yourself out of time.
10 Filipino Foods You Should Know About
Filipinos are the second largest Asian American demographic in the country, yet Filipino food has only just begun receiving mainstream recognition. Maybe it's because the first time you saw Filipino food, it was on an episode of Fear Factor or Bizarre Foods. I was certain that by now, everyone in America must have been invited to a Filipino pot luck, complete with a roasted suckling pig, mountains of lumpia, and plastic take-home containers for all guests to make sure they have baon (leftovers) for the next week. Alas, if you haven't experienced the delights of Filipino food yet, I'm glad to be here to share some dishes from my motherland, hopefully disrupting any exotifying stereotypes mainstream media might have painted otherwise.

This Year's Harvest Moon Is a Little Peculiar, and You Won't Want to Miss It
It's a lucky year for gazing into the sky and seeing something spectacular. While we'll need to wait till 2024 for the next solar eclipse, if you look up on Oct. 5, you'll see the full moon come out earlier than usual after sunset. Called the harvest moon, it's an annual treat that basks the Earth in a little extra light, giving us one last taste of Summer.
The harvest moon is the name given to the full moon that's closest to the Autumn equinox on Sept. 22. Usually, the full moon falls close to the equinox in late September, but this year, it happened on Sept. 6 - hence the later date. Harvest moons tend to look bigger, brighter, and orange in color because they rise close to the horizon.
If you happen to miss the harvest moon's rise at 2:40 p.m. ET on Oct. 5, keep your eyes peeled the next few nights after that. Because the moon rises almost right after sunset, you'll see it waning but still looking like a full moon. While this year's harvest moon is not a supermoon like last year's, it's still a stunning sight to see to mark the beginning of Autumn.
29 Thrilling Trunk-or-Treat Ideas
When it comes to trunk-or-treating, I'll admit it, my car is the LAME-O-trunk. I typically fling a bag of assorted candy (if I'm lucky) into the back of my car and call it a day. You might even catch me stretching bits of fake spiderwebs around the back, but I'm only good for about five minutes with that ridiculous stuff. This Halloween car-hopping tradition is a new one for me - and one that's taken a bit of time for me to embrace. That's why this year will be different! I have vowed to up my trunk decorating game and get into the spirit for my kiddos. And while I might not go as far as some of these awesome ideas straight from Instagram, they're certainly really great ways to get some inspiration.

AHS Finally Revealed What's Behind That Door With the Flower, and Oh My God Nightmares
When American Horror Story: Cult first premiered, we knew were were in for a seriously wild and terrifying ride unlike any other that creator Ryan Murphy has taken us on before. But with every new episode, we find ourselves even more shocked and left with even more questions. One of the earliest things we wondered about was what is behind that mysterious door in Kai and Winter Anderson's house. In the premiere, Kai (Evan Peters) rubs Cheeto dust on his face to look like President Donald Trump and wanders through his house, unable to control his happiness at the country's new leader. While roaming down a hallway, he stops at a door that has a padlock on it and one single rose sitting in an attached vase, stopping briefly to smell it. So what exactly is he hiding in his own house?
Some early fan theories hinted that the room could hold a random person that Kai kidnapped, or that he's able to lock up Winter sometimes due to his unhealthy control over her. But the darkest theory of them all turned out to be true: the room is actually the Anderson parents' tomb. In episode five, we see major events in Kai and Winter's history that have led them to become the cult leaders they are now.
While being pressed about his upbringing by Beverly, Kai breaks down in tears and reveals that his dad became an abusive alcoholic after becoming paralyzed due to a motorcycle accident. After enduring his abuse, Kai's mother shoots his father before turning the gun on herself. He then calls his brother, Dr. Vincent (Ally's therapist!), and asks what they should do. Vincent explains that if they call the police, all of their parents' money will be taken away, and they should instead put their parents back in their bed, conceal the room, and let them decompose naturally. Vincent also suggests that they can wait to tell Winter until she's home for break from college. We then see Kai frequently visit his parents' skeletons in their room, grieving over his mom and telling his dad that he gets pleasure in watching him rot.
Not only did this moment reveal Dr. Vicent as a mastermind in the deeply deranged family, but we also see a moment of weakness with Kai that could hint at further cracks in his perfect cult of clowns.

10 Healthy Reasons to Start Squeezing Lemons
Saying that lemons are a superfood is an understatement. Not only do they add abundant flavor to a variety of dishes, but they also boast a ton of health benefits. The flavonoids within the juice are said to contain antioxidants, which is why lemons are useful in treating so many ailments and conditions. Here are 10 reasons to enjoy them ASAP.
- Prevent kidney stones: Drinking one half-cup of lemon juice every day raises citrate levels in the urine. Studies have shown that this could protect against calcium stones in the kidney.
- Soothe a sore throat: Mixing lemon juice with honey can help alleviate the discomfort that comes from a nasty sore throat.
- Support weight loss: Beyond the old notion that the Master Cleanse was the only way lemons could help you lose weight, new studies have shown the ways lemon juice supports your goals. Lemon juice contains pectin, a soluble fiber that has been shown to aid in weight-loss struggles.
- Start your day right: Leave caffeinated drinks behind, and start your day off with hot water and fresh lemon juice to stimulate your digestive track and add vitamin C.
- Stop an itch: When it comes to poison ivy or insect bites, rubbing lemon juice on the area can soothe the skin, since it has anti-inflammatory and anesthetic effects.
- Aids in digestion: Dr. Oz is a big believer in the power of lemon juice for weight loss. He suggests drinking a mixture of lemon juice and flaxseeds in order to eliminate waste more quickly from your body.
- Anticancer properties: Studies have supported the anticancer activity of citrus liminoids, compounds that protect your cells from damage that can lead to the formation of cancer cells.
- Potassium power: Bananas aren't the only way to get a big helping of potassium in your system. In addition to vitamin C, lemons offer 80 milligrams of this mineral that helps your body stay strong and nimble.
- Bring down a fever: Forget the days of starving a fever! When your temperature goes up, drinking a lemon juice mixture can help bring your fever down faster.
- Balance pH: While lemons may seem quite acidic, they're a surprisingly good source of an alkaline food that can help balance your body's pH.

The Decapitated Body Isn't What Surprised Neighbors About This Gory Scene
When Greenville, Tennessee resident Johnny Riddle drove past his neighbor's house the other morning, he got a gory surprise: a body was seemingly decapitated beneath the garage door. "There's a guy laying in his driveway, with two big bloody handprints on side of the house," he said in a frantic call to 911 uncovered by WJHL. "It looks like he was dead, I don't know I didn't stop I just came on to work," he continued. Fortunately, the body wasn't a body at all: just leaves stuffed with paper and food coloring and hair gel for blood. The entire gory display was for Halloween – as deputies from the sheriff's office found out after rushing to what they thought was a crime scene. Homeowner Joseph Lovergive explained the misunderstanding to WJHL, saying Halloween is his and his daughter's favorite time of year and they love to decorate accordingly. Upon learning it was a joke, Johnny says he wasn't angry, just relieved. Even the deputies had to admit it was pretty funny. As for the rest of the neighbors, more than being shocked by the bloody body, they couldn't get over the fact that the Lovergives had put up Halloween decorations more than a month before the holiday.
12 Questions That Will Help You Find Happiness
Ask somebody what their definition of happiness is and their response will likely differ from the next person's. There are things that have been proven to bring us joy, but happiness tips aren't always a one-size-fits-all formula. Discovering what would make you happiest requires some self-exploration, which we've made easier with the questions below. Inspired by prompts from A Book That Takes Its Time, these 12 questions will hopefully shed some light on what you need more of and less of in your life.
Write down your answers to each of the following questions:
- If you had an extra hour in the day, what would you do with it?
- What small changes could you make to improve your day?
- What can you do tomorrow morning to start your day off right?
- What small pleasures would you like to enjoy more?
- What's your favorite part of the day?
- Who brings you the most amount of joy?
- Who brings you the least?
- If money wasn't an issue, what would be your dream job?
- What's something that always makes you smile?
- What's currently stressing you out the most?
- What do you wish you had more courage for?
- When was the last time you felt most excited or alive?
Now, look at your answers and notice any patterns. Turn your responses into actionable steps: do less of what brings you down and do more of what fulfills you, surround yourself with people who bring you joy and consider cutting ties with those who don't, etc. Let your answers inspire you to take the reins on your life and find your happy.

Your Perfect Starbucks Drink Order Based on Your Zodiac Sign
Your zodiac sign says a whole lot about you, like what lingerie you should wear and what kind of sex you should be having. While your star sign doesn't necessarily dictate how you live your everyday life, it can be a good indicator of certain choices you might make - like what you should grab at Starbucks in the morning. We pulled together what we think might be the ideal drink for each sign of the zodiac, and if you ended up with something that isn't what you normally get and maybe have never had before, we recommend trying it. We think you might like it.
When Will The Walking Dead End? What We Know Will Keep Fans Very Happy
We're nearing the beginning of season eight of The Walking Dead, which means it's time to take stock on what's next. With the prolific and long-running comic-book series serving as the source material for the TV show, it's been harder and harder not to succumb to temptation and look ahead at what's to come. How long will we get to spend with the extravagant King Ezekiel? What's in store for Jesus, the rebel with a heart of gold? With many more comic issues to burn through yet, it's hard not to wonder how much more of the show is left for us to see. If that question's been on your mind, we've uncovered a pretty interesting answer.
As you may or may not know, Negan's brutal arrival in season six meant we had officially reached the game-changing 100th issue of the comics. With Issue 161's December 2016 release, it's clear we've only burned through about 2/3 of the comic books. More plainly, if it took us six seasons to get through 100 issues, we've still got a solid handful of seasons to go before we're all caught up. But wait, that's not all! To help clarify what the future may hold, creator Robert Kirkman stopped by Kevin Smith's late-night talk show Geeking Out. Check out the clip below.
In February 2017, AMC Networks confirmed that the show isn't going anywhere. CEO Josh Sapan stated that "the show continues to have creative strength and command a large and loyal audience, which has in turn attracted ad revenue to our great benefit." He continued, noting that "The Walking Dead remains the number one show on television among younger viewers by a very wide margin . . . we believe it will have a long life that accrues to our strategic position and financial benefit."
The biggest takeaway here is that there's no end in sight for the comic books. If they make it to Issue 200, that would logically mean we could get up to 12 seasons of the TV show. Furthermore, if you consider Kirkman's sentiment about the comics outliving the show, the sky's really the limit. Basically, as long as AMC continues to renew the show - and it seems like they will - there will be plenty of new material to burn through. Buckle up, TWD fans. We've got a long way to go.
