7 Things People With Clean Kitchens Do Every Day

Do you hate to cook? Do you turn your nose when entering your kitchen and hurry out the door once your microwave beeps, signaling your frozen burrito is ready? And if we're really being honest, have you forgotten the last time you changed out your sponge or scrubbed the stove free of pasta-sauce splatters? It sounds like you have a messy kitchen. Marie Kondo, the New York Times bestselling author of The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up sympathizes. That's why she developed a system, which is called the KonMari Method, that allows anyone, even the seemingly hopelessly messy, can take on successfully.

If you're curious about her unique purging technique, read about my experience of using the KonMari Method in my kitchen. After you've trashed all the dishware, cooking tools, and pantry items that don't "spark joy" - aka make you happy when you see, touch, and use them - it's time to take on these daily habits of people with clean kitchens to keep your own space neat without intense effort.

  • Keep Everything Off the Kitchen Counter
  • I know, this one seems like a tough one, yet your blender, sugar bowl, coffee maker, and other knickknacky things not only take up space on your counter, but they also actually make it impossible to clean. They gather dust and oily muck on and around them, and you ignore it. The person with a clean kitchen wipes down all appliances, etc. with a warm, damp sponge before storing the items in shelves or cabinets. Yes, even those things they use every day.

  • Wipe the Stove, Sink, and Counter With Each Use
  • Marie Kondo says, "Tidying your kitchen means wiping away any water or oil." If there's nothing on your stove, sink, or counter, it suddenly becomes really easy to run a sponge over these areas every day to clean up any splashes or spills. Ta-da! No crumbs or mysterious stains to be seen.

  • Keep Dish Soap and Sponges Under the Sink
  • Having tried this out myself, I can attest to its effectiveness. After washing dishes, simply squeeze out the sponge and keep it in a wire sponge holder under the sink along with your soap and rubber gloves. It's a surprising trick to keep your kitchen looking neat and inviting.

  • Store the Trash Can Under the Sink
  • There's something off-putting about having a trash can in the middle of the kitchen, even one with a sleek stainless steel design. Storing your trash can under the sink keeps it out of sight and out of mind. I also love taking the trash out more frequently so my kitchen never smells.

  • Wash and Dry Dishes Immediately
  • If you have a drying rack in your kitchen, get rid of it! It makes it all too easy to pile on the dishes without ever putting them away, plus the wet drippings pool and grow all sorts of gnarly things. Instead, do as the tidy person does and wash and dry the dishes immediately after a meal.

  • Keep About 30 Percent of Your Fridge Empty
  • Ever wonder where you are going to put your leftovers or newly bought groceries? If you always have a few clear spots in your fridge, it makes it easy to find a designated spot for new things.

  • Give Each Thing a Definite Home (Away From the Stove)
  • Though it's tempting to want to stash kitchen tools, spices, oils, etc. near the kitchen stove for easy access, this is a recipe for disaster. As things cook, the oil often splatters onto these items. In addition, the heat can drastically reduce the storage life of spices and oils, rendering them stale and rancid. Instead, store everything away from the stove. Before cooking, pull out all the equipment and food stuff you may need, and put each thing away, item by item, after its use. This makes cleanup way easier.

Hold Up, Millie Bobby Brown's Hair Is So Long and Luscious Now!

It's been more than a year since Millie Bobby Brown catapulted to Hollywood and fashion fame after starring in the Netflix hit Stranger Things. For as long as she's been in the spotlight, we've been used to seeing her hair extremely short (the 13-year-old did, after all, actually shave her head to play Eleven).

On the red carpet, Millie usually favors her hair tightly pulled back in buns, ponytails, and slicked back. You can imagine our surprise, then, when she showed up to the season two premiere of her show with blunt shoulder-length hair, worn down.

Seriously, what hair vitamins does she take, because my hair has grown exactly one and a half inches since a year ago. She's blessed. Her strands are also looking ridiculously shiny and healthy. We think this calls for appreciation at all angles.

See more photos of her new style, ahead.

Stranger Things: This Tiny Detail About Sheriff Hopper Will Break You

One of the best aspects of a show like Stranger Things is that there are levels to each of the characters. You'll pick up something new or heartbreaking every single time you rewatch a season. And now that we've plowed our way to the end of season two, there's even more depth to each one of the residents in Hawkins, Indiana. Take Sheriff Hopper for instance, who's expertly played by David Harbour. While you may have been more enamored by his good looks and epic dance moves in the newest installment, there's something much smaller about his character that provides a large dose of insight: his bright blue bracelet.

Dubai's Luxury Hotel Is Downright Ridiculous - Wait Until You See the Amenities

The Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai is so luxurious and over the top, we didn't know a place like this could ever exist. It's the stuff your fantasies are made of. Set on an artificial island just 920 feet from Jumeirah Beach, the building stands as the third tallest hotel in the world.

People widely refer to Burj Al Arab as the world's only seven-star hotel. You will agree after hearing about all the lavish perks that come with staying here. But enjoying this hotel comes at a cost; rooms start at around $1,100 per night. Check out all the amazing experiences you could have if you book a room at this hot spot in Dubai.

Kris Jenner and Her New Platinum Hair Just Inspired 2017's Best Meme

A week before Halloween, Kris Jenner took a break from her busy schedule to break the internet with quite possibly the best reaction meme we've seen this year. On Oct. 23, Kim Kardashian shared a picture of her mom reclined on a sofa - martini in hand - while wearing a floral suit, a fur stole, and brick-red accessories. Oh, and she's wearing a platinum blond wig. "Caption this," Kim wrote.

The over-the-top image is particularly shocking because it's the first time Kris has been seen without her signature black hair. It's funny because the platinum wig closely resembles Kim's icy new color and Kris has been criticized for copying her daughter in the past.

Alas, it is indeed just a wig: Kris was photographed out that same evening in New York City with her usual hair color. This singular, already iconic picture, however, provides all of the meme and Halloween costume inspiration we need.

32 Fun Disney Facts From a Former Cast Member

Despite the fact that the Disney company employs thousands of people, there really aren't that many who can say they worked at one of its amazing theme parks. And if you're lucky enough to be one of those people, you know how closely guarded Disney's secrets are and how little you are actually allowed to share. I was fortunate enough (yes, I say fortunate because I loved working for the intense company that is Disney) to work at Walt Disney World for a few years while I lived in Florida, and I'm here to share just a few of the things I learned about the company, the parks, and being a cast member, but I have to do it quietly so the mouse doesn't track me down.

5 Things You Learn About Yourself While Running

I love doing a variety of fit activities, whether it's a HIIT class, ballet, weight training, barre, running, or what have you. Each activity has a different body and mind benefit. When I dance, I can only think about each movement and everything else melts away. When I run . . . I can think about, well, everything.

Out of all the fit things I love to do, I find I do my best thinking while running. Perhaps it's because running is something that comes automatically without much thought. Sure, you have to avoid tripping over a rock or slipping, but the movement is instinctual . . . fight or flight, right?

As I run, I find that my thoughts are clear and logical, and it allows me an emotional release. Whether I am making up solutions as I run miles or releasing feelings, I learn so much about myself while running. We all can. If we solely ran for the physical benefits, we'd probably find something easier to do, but there are so many mental benefits from running that you can't help but be addicted to what running does to your brain.

1. You Learn How You Really Feel

When you run, don't be surprised when every emotion comes pouring out of your body. Happiness and joy. Rapid quick thoughts of anxiety. Tears of sadness or joy. I can count on many fingers the amount of times I have been running and crying. Perhaps it should be my hashtag.

When I run, I release. I release my hidden feelings and not-so-hidden feelings. There is no pretension and there is no one to please. I can feel what I want and, sometimes, feel things that perhaps I don't want to feel.

It's as if there is a faucet on my head that opens up when I'm running and out rushes everything that had been contained before.

2. You Learn What to Do

Have a problem? Try running. Run for a good long time or even a short sprint and I guarantee you that, eventually, you'll find an answer to your problem.

Whether it is a relationship issue or a work issue - no matter what the case - I can usually uncover a solution or untangle some of my thoughts while running. There is really no better activity for uncovering logic than running. Any and all major decisions should be debated over while pounding the pavement, sand, grass, or treadmill.

3. You Learn How Your Body Really Feels

Whenever I run, I can tell how my body feels right away. If I am tired, I feel it. If I am sore from an intense workout the day before or sore from a bad night's sleep, I feel it.

If I feel amazing and loose and free, I feel it. If my shoulders are tight from stress . . . it's there as I run. If my abs feel great from an intense plank workout, the glory is all there.

My heart tells the truth as I run, letting out my emotions, and my body is the same. It just can't lie to me. All of my aches, pains, strengths, and victories run with me.

When you run, you know your body is either talking at you or going with you. It's almost as if your body gives you a little wellness check-up with each quickened pace.

4. You Learn How to Push Yourself

When you run, you might be doggone tired. When you run, you might really be too busy to head out, but you can't stand the thought of missing a run.

You learn how and when to push yourself.

You learn that a burn in your body can be a damn good thing. You learn that an ache in the heel means it's time to ease up.

You learn that a hot sweaty day is no excuse to stay home.

You learn how and when to push yourself.

Running is an art form of self-discipline and stamina. In many ways, it helps you master yourself, teaches you to be the best you.

5. You Learn How to Just Be

When you run, you aren't anything else or anywhere else. Just right there . . . until you have zoomed past and then you're right there.

You learn how to be in the moment. You watch what is around you. You pick up details wherever you run, yet then they float by you.

Have you ever had someone try to say hi to you as you ran?

Time after time, people say to me: "I saw you running. I screamed a billion times hello to you, but you didn't notice."

When you run, you are in your own world - in just that moment, seeking nothing ahead of you and certainly not reaching behind you.

Cristela Alonzo on Racing Toward Your Dream

Cristela Alonzo is a stand-up comedian, actress, and the voice of Cruz Ramirez in Cars 3.

My mother came from a poor village in Mexico and had a second-grade education. She used to tell me dreams were for the rich. I understood where she was coming from. My family was practically homeless and lived as squatters for part of my childhood. She spent her life struggling to get by. When you spend every minute of your life trying to survive - to get food on the table - the question we must ask ourselves is: when do we allow ourselves to dream?

There's a saying (I believe originated by writer Ayesha Siddiqi) that goes "Be the person you needed when you were younger," and that is what I'm trying to do now. I want to empower children growing up like I did. I want them to learn from a young age that they're capable of anything they dream of doing. Those are the words I needed to hear as a kid. I needed to hear that I was enough. I needed to hear that my dreams were not a joke but rather an extension of who I am. This is why I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to be Cruz Ramirez in Disney Pixar's Cars 3.

One of the lines my character says in the movie - "Dream small or not at all" - was taken directly from my childhood. My mom repeated this phrase as a way to protect me from getting my heart broken; she didn't want me to be disappointed. The irony is my mom thought wanting to act and perform was too big of a risk to pay off for me, yet she had followed a bigger dream by coming to this country in search of a fighting chance to just live. She minimized what she had done and was unaware that my dream was actually small compared to hers.

I worked on the film for almost two years and slowly found my life story incorporated into Cruz's journey. I've never thought my story was special, but Pixar saw something in it that I didn't. They saw the hope I carried and wouldn't let me quit - the hopeful inner voice that would always say: "Remember, there is nothing more you'd rather do at this moment than to keep at it. Your tears are a reminder of how much you want this." That's why I think Cars 3 is an inspiring film for both kids and adults. It's about having a dream, having doubts, and eventually realizing that you were powerful from the beginning.

I am very passionate about sharing my story if it can encourage others to follow their dreams. So, with the help of Disney, I have been able to personally work with a number of Boys & Girls Clubs of America around the country to screen the movie and visit with the kids. I wanted them to see a story starring someone just like them because I think it's the best way to show them everything is possible. If I can do it, they can do it.

"We need to teach them that a dream doesn't know whether you're rich or not."

Kids need to see examples of people who not only grew up like they did but also choose to spend their time giving back to the communities that raised them. They need to see that it's not only OK to have a dream and chase it, it's necessary. They need to hear that from hunger and extreme poverty, something great can happen - I'm proof of that. We need to teach them that a dream doesn't know whether you're rich or not. A dream is a language our heart and our brain speak to each other in an attempt to guide us toward what we're meant to do.

In the movie, there's a scene where Cruz asks Lightning McQueen, "How did you know you could do it?" Lightning replies, "I just never thought I couldn't." When I read that line, it hit my soul. I realized I had never felt that kind of confidence, and it made me sad. I want to empower kids so when someone asks them, "How did you think you could do it?" they respond, "I just never thought I couldn't." That is the biggest gift we can give them.

I Tried This $10 Rose Gold Hair Makeup, and It Made My Hair Look So Cool For Fall

To say I love rose gold is an understatement - I'm obsessed with the metallic, blush hue. I have always wanted to dye my hair the color, but it's a little scary to go so permanently bold. That's why I freaked out when Clairol Color Crave Hair Makeup ($10) was released. It's a temporary dye that washes out in just one shampoo, and you can't argue with the low price tag. So I tested out the product in its rose gold shade at home to see if it's truly worth the purchase.

I have ombre hair, so I decided to apply the hair makeup to the lower half of my tresses since I like the dark-to-light look. The product comes in a little bottle with a soft, fuzzy sponge on the end. You squeeze the bottle to get the product out, much like you would do with a tube of lip gloss. I rubbed the applicator directly on my hair where I wanted the color to show up, and OMG, I was shocked by how well it popped. Even on the darker parts of my hair, it was very noticeable. It was a little messy while I applied it, but I laid out some paper towels to protect the surfaces around me, and I was good to go. After applying, I used a blow dryer for 10 minutes on my strands; the heat locks in the color so that it doesn't rub off. Next, I used a curling iron to style my newly colored hair.

The result was so impressive - not only was the color payoff great, the product also left my hair shimmery like a true rose gold would. The texture of my hair was still soft; my hair didn't look crunchy or stiff at all. The hue was especially pretty in the sun when the shimmer could reflect off of the light. I slept with the hair makeup overnight, and it looked just as good the next day. It didn't rub off on my pillowcase either. It comes off in the shower with just one wash, so you don't have to worry about it sticking around longer than you'd prefer.

Overall, I was impressed with the product, and I totally plan on using it again. It's a fun way to change up my hair color without any commitment. The Clairol collection offers all sorts of colors - I think I'll try lavender or copper next. If you're looking to play with your look, give this hair makeup a try. Prepare for the compliments to flow!

Was This Fixer Upper Family "Deceived" Into Buying a Waco, TX, House?

The "Three Little Pigs" house from Fixer Upper season three may be named after a fairy tale, but it's proven to be a complete nightmare for the homeowners. Since moving into the North Waco home a year and a half ago, Ken and Kelly Downs say they've had to deal with late-night ruckus from nearby bars, suspicious activity, and even anti-Fixer Upper backlash from locals angry the show has made local taxes go up. The couple described their neighborhood as the "Wild West" to the Waco Tribune Herald and claim they've endured harassment and intimidation.

All of the Downs' frustrations came to a head, however, in the early morning hours of July 8, when a drunk driver crashed straight through the front of their house. Luckily, the Downs were sleeping in another part of the house and were physically unharmed - but they are emotionally traumatized and blame Waco for doing nothing to crack down on crime in the area and Magnolia Realty for selling them a house in a "bad" neighborhood. Kelly told the Waco Tribune Herald that they "feel deceived by the city of Waco and Magnolia Realty."

While some online commenters echoed the Downs' frustration regarding the police's inaction toward the criminal activity in the neighborhood, most were unsympathetic when it came to claims that Magnolia Realty was in any way culpable or shouldn't have allowed them to buy the property. Commenters note that they chose to purchase the house; they were not forced to do so. Furthermore, the couple had every ability to research the neighborhood before making such a huge investment in it.

The 1 Organic Lipstick I'll Be Wearing to All My Holiday Parties This Year

There are so many tubes of lipsticks currently living in my bathroom that I'm considering charging them rent. I'm a total lipstick fiend - whether I'm heading to work or down the street to meet a friend for dinner, you can bet that I'm wearing some kind of lipstick. This time of year is generally when I unleash the dark colors: deep burgundy, crimson red, even rich purple. They make me feel like I'm the lead in some mysterious, moody, sexy foreign film.

But my taste has taken an unexpected turn this Fall. I recently stumbled across a "nude" lipstick from one of my favorite cosmetic lines, Vapour Organic Beauty Siren Lipstick in Naive ($25). It's a cool neutral that looks like nothing special in the tube or in pictures, but when you see it in person, you'll feel something deep, deep down in your soul.

This lipstick, like everything else in my cabinet, is cruelty-free. It's made with organic botanicals like pomegranate and rose, and it has a luscious, silky texture. Apparently the secret to this gorgeous shade is that Vapour put a touch of black in the mix. Whatever the brand did, it did it right.

Every time I wear this lipstick, I get compliments, which is surprising, because people generally only comment when I'm wearing a bold color. So I'm following my vanity and planning to wear this shade to every one of my holiday parties this year. Here are three different looks I plan to wear it with.

There are two $50 bundles, one inspired by Princess Anna and one inspired by Queen Elsa. The Anna makeup is decorated in a fleur de lis pattern inspired by her dress. The shades are all warm, neutral peach and bronze tones fitting of the redhead. Meanwhile, the Elsa makeup is adorned in snowflakes and icicles. Her products are more cool-toned and include a red lip that'd look striking against her platinum blonde. Each set comes with matching mirror compacts.

The collection will go live for presale starting at 2 p.m. ET (and don't worry, these goodies will definitely arrive before Christmas). Get a closer look at all the treats ahead.

Now that Thor: Ragnarok has come out, we're one step closer to the third installment in the Avengers films, Avengers: Infinity War, which comes out in May 2018 and will assemble, well, just about everyone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The MCU has given us scores of standalone films about individual characters, but it always feels like the Avengers films are the main event we're building up to.

At the very least, the events of Ragnarok directly connect with what happens in Avengers: Infinity War. At Comic-Con 2017, Chris Hemsworth told IGN that seeing Thor: Ragnarok is essential to getting Infinity War, saying, "I think you'll have to watch our film first to understand what Avengers is about," while MCU producer Kevin Feige reiterated that "things change drastically in Ragnarok and then build directly into Infinity War."

So now that we've seen the film, here are all the ways we know Thor: Ragnarok connects to Avengers: Infinity War.

Thanos Pops Up in Thor's End Credits

Thanos (Josh Brolin) is the villain in Infinity War, and we don't see him, but we see his ship in one of Ragnarok's postcredits scenes. He could have multiple items on his agenda, but we know he's trying to get his hands on all the infinity stones, and we're pretty sure Loki has the Tesseract.

It Sort of Explains Why Thor Is Floating in Space in the First Infinity War Footage

Back at Comic-Con, the first Infinity War footage was screened and showed Thor floating in space, apparently unconscious. We don't know how he gets there, but we have a good idea if that's Thanos's ship right behind his own at the end of Thor: Ragnarok.

Valkyrie Is Rumored to Be in Infinity War

One of the best things about Thor: Ragnarok is Valkyrie, the badass soldier with a bad attitude played by Tessa Thompson. Though it hasn't been confirmed, it's rumored that she'll be in Infinity War. Can we just say: she better be in it!

23 Surprising Items You Can't Bring Into Disneyland

Disneyland is a magical place where dreams come true - and it's also a place you can't bring pots and pans. Yep, the park has some pretty interesting things on their banned items list, and of course some prohibited items (like weapons, for instance) that make complete sense. Find out what you can and can't bring into the park, and make sure to leave your selfie stick at home the next time you head to Disneyland.

9 Things People With Clean Houses Do Every Day

Find yourself feigning excuses for why your friend can't pop up to your place to use the bathroom before the movie? Ever turn beet red with embarrassment when unexpected guests enter your home? It sounds like you have a messy house.

Imagine how much more enjoyable life would be if you were one of those perpetually tidy people whose homes could be company-ready with 15 minutes' notice. We wanted to turn our clean fantasies into a reality, so we researched the daily habits of people with clean houses - note the word "habits." What we learned is that it takes more than a few deep cleanings to achieve this status of cleaning goddess. It takes daily work and preparation to keep your house in a constant state of near perfection.

Read on to discover the nine habits people with clean houses do every day, and how you can adopt them to get out of the disaster zone you've been living in.

  • Make Their Bed
  • Before you leave the house in the morning (or better yet, before you leave the bedroom), make your bed. If you're in a rush, pull the comforter up to the pillows, and smooth it out to create the semblance of a made bed. This simple act creates a sense of order in your bedroom and sets your day off on a productive note that's likely to carry through.

  • Empty the Dishwasher in the Morning
  • Get the dishwasher emptied and ready to go for the day. Doing this in the morning lays the groundwork for an easy dinner cleanup at night and keeps dishes from stacking up in the sink throughout the day.

  • Do a Load of Laundry Every Day
  • Washing clothes on a regular schedule keeps the dirty pile from becoming overwhelming (not to mention, ensures that you'll never run out of clean underpants). Those with big families prefer doing it every morning, but if you live alone, doing laundry a couple of predetermined days a week should suffice.

  • Use Baskets to Organize Things
  • When there's a place for everything to go, it's easier to keep everything in its place. Scatter cute baskets throughout the house to corral your things, and add shelves to hold the big pieces.

  • Don't Procrastinate
  • When a box is delivered, unpack the goodies inside, and discard the packaging immediately. The same goes for dealing with spills or messes. The longer you wait, the harder they become to deal with.

  • Put Away Their Clothes From the Day
  • As tempting as it is to drop your clothes on the floor after a long day's work before slipping into your sweats, tidy people take the time to fold, hang, or place them in the hamper, as necessary. Do this, and your clothes and floor will both look better for it.

  • Clean as They Go
  • You can dramatically minimize your mess by cleaning as you go. If you rinse the cutting board while the pasta is boiling or start loading the dishwasher while the chicken is baking, the bulk of the work will be done by the time you serve dinner.

  • Never Go to Bed With a Dirty Kitchen
  • Resist the urge to climb directly into bed after a big meal. Take care of any and all kitchen cleanup that night - clean pots and pans, wipe down counters, etc. Not only will the mess harden and be smellier the next day (read: more challenging to clean), but waiting means that you'll have to spend your morning backtracking to make up for what you neglected the night before, instead of getting a head start on the day ahead.

  • Plan Ahead
  • Whether it's picking out your outfit the night before or reviewing what cleaning products you need to restock before tackling the bathrooms that weekend, you can give yourself a jump on the day by planning ahead.

Mom Perfectly Sums Up the Moment a Teacher Finally Noticed What She's "Always Seen" in Her Son

When Meg Rowe made the difficult decision to put her 2-year-old son in preschool, she had no idea that the separation from Teddy wouldn't be the only struggle she'd have to endure.

"A couple months in, his teachers casually mentioned that he didn't talk," she wrote in a Facebook post. "I was so distressed because he was so loud at home. What was I doing wrong?"

A few months later, and those same teachers reported that he now only spoke in whispers: "Teachers said if they looked at him he went mute. Was I making him feel like he couldn't be loud? Like he would get in trouble? I spent hours at home going, 'IT'S OK TO SCREAAAAAAMMMMM!!!' and having him double over in hysterics."

It was painful for this self-proclaimed "inexperienced parent" to watch her kid act one way at home and then shut down at school.

After eight long months, both she and her husband, Kyle, happened to drop him off for the first time together. The teacher gave them an update on Teddy.

"The teacher says, 'Wow, Teddy. A big change! Not only does he talk, all the time, to everyone, but he is . . .' (pause for considering her words carefully) 'just a really good friend. The ultimate friend! To everyone here,'" Meg recalled. "Is there really a better compliment to be had for anyone, of any age?"

Like all the parents of shy children who can perfectly relate, Meg couldn't help but cry:

"So, you know, don't mind the tears of a mom at 8:30 in the morning standing in her preschooler's classroom when she realizes someone else - unbiased - sees what she's always seen."

11 Must-Read Book Series If You Love Game of Thrones

Even though it feels like season seven of Game of Thrones just started, the truth is the long Winter without the Starks, Lannisters, and Daenerys is upon us once again - but that doesn't mean there's no way for you to get your fix of political intrigue, dragons, and flawed characters struggling to survive in war-torn worlds.

There are plenty of fantasy book series out there just waiting to fill the Game of Thrones void in your life. Of course, one of those series is A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin, the books on which Game of Thrones is based. But you've already read those, right? Right? We're going to assume you have and offer up recommendations for a new batch of fantasy epics that will make your exile from Westeros so much easier to bear.

The Hysterical Differences Between Your First and Second Child

With children comes experience, so it's no surprise that many parents do things slightly different the second time around. And despite best intentions to keep everything equal between your firstborn and newest addition to the family, there are some changes that are bound to creep in that can be classified as second child syndrome. Whether you've given up on solely the homemade, organic baby food well before your second child's first month or you suddenly realized that they're almost 8 months old and you have yet to take a month-by-month photo, these babies have a slightly different experience. While your younger kiddos get to benefit from a more knowledgeable (and hopefully less nervous!) mama, some of these evolutions are too funny not to acknowledge.

Check out the 12 differences between your first and second baby that proves that the struggle can be very real for the younger kid.

7 Things Your Kids Will Remember About You When They're Grown Up

There are plenty of times my friends or family reference specific moments in my childhood, and I just can't for the life of me remember what they're talking about - it's very interesting what we end up remembering about our lives. There are, however, certain things I can perfectly pinpoint about my childhood, no matter what age I was at the time, like how my mom reacted to my grandfather passing, the chunk of time my dad was working in another state at a new job and missed my school play, and the way my mom would greet my dad when he got home from work.

Because there are certain things that tend to stick with kids as they grow up, these seven things are worth thinking about as you raise your littles.

An HGTV Star Reveals the 6 Upgrades That Will Make Your Bathroom Feel Like a Spa

If pampering yourself is high on your list of priorities (and if it isn't, it should be), a luxurious bathroom is exactly what you need. In Scott McGillivray's latest Reno to Reveal project - follow along on social media using #Reno2Reveal - he turns a small basement bathroom into a spa-like retreat fit for a king or queen. Read exactly how he did it below.

Love what you're reading? Head over to our Snapchat for more awesome, bite-sized content!

Curbless Glass Shower Enclosure

"If you want your bathroom to feel more open, there's one sure-fire way to do it. Install a glass shower enclosure. It's way more luxurious than a shower curtain, and it removes the visual obstruction," said Scott. "In addition, I also designed the shower to be curbless, which has a significant impact. It opens up the sight lines and, when combined with the frameless glass, makes this small room feel huge."

Makeshift Steam Shower

"Within the glass shower enclosure, I added a special feature. The glass goes all the way to the ceiling and has a vent at the top that can be opened and closed. So if you feel like indulging in a steam shower, you can close the vent and allow steam to gather, and when you want a regular shower, you can open it up and allow the steam to escape," Scott explained. "Steam generators can be very pricey, but this solution allows you to get a similar experience at a fraction of the price." And don't forget that if you're creating a steam shower, you'll want to tile the ceiling so it's properly waterproofed.

Shower Bench

"No decent steam shower can be without a bench," said Scott. "To up the luxury factor, I installed a custom bench directly in the shower and tiled it to match the rest of the space. While you can bring in another type of waterproof bench, nothing looks as good as a custom built-in unit." Scott also added a built-in tile niche to hold toiletries, such as shampoo and soap.

Handheld and Rain Shower Head Options

"This bathroom is all about indulgence so I added both rain and handheld shower options. Rain showers provide full coverage when you stand underneath, so every inch of you gets to enjoy the sensation. It would be silly to have a spa bathroom and not include one. But that said, sometimes you need to wash and go so I included the handheld option for the ultimate in convenience," said Scott.

Heated Floors

No luxurious space is complete without heated floors! Scott explained, "the worst thing would be to step out of a great steam shower only to put your feet down on an icy floor. While heated floors can be expensive to install in an existing room, it's well worth considering when you're going through a renovation."

Vanity Storage

"Nothing kills serenity like clutter," declared Scott. "To avoid the problem of bottles, jars, and toothbrush holders taking over the space, I installed a large vanity with plenty of storage. Above it I hung a nice big mirror that reflects light along with two hanging pendants." As a pro tip, Scott added that you should never install lights over a mirror in a bathroom because it will cast unflattering shadows on the face.

This $96 Gold Razor Brings 24-Karat Magic to Your Legs

It's cold outside, I'm single, and as a perennially broke 20-something, I have no beach vacations on the horizon, so I'm pretty much done with shaving for the next five months. That is, I was done with shaving until I saw this Oui Shave Kit ($96) that includes a 24-karat gold razor. Now, I might have to amend my no-shave Winter rule.

This kit, although pricey, pretty much makes your hair removal collection complete. I'll break it down for you: along with the aforementioned, Bruno Mars-approved razor, you'll also get a pack of 10 blades and a bottle of Neroli shave oil. Plus, according to Oui, this blade is "engineered to be irritation-free" and "makes shaving a pleasure."

Oui, Imma let you finish, but Halo Top is a pleasure. A seat on the subway at rush hour is a pleasure. Steve's Stranger Things hair is a gosh darn pleasure. Shaving is not a pleasure.

But after reading the reviews of this razor, it looks like I'm going to have to eat my words (along with all that Halo Top). In fact, as far as most shoppers are concerned, Oui has come through on its promise - and more. "This razor is every woman's dream," one wrote. "It makes shaving feel like a luxury spa experience." What now?

According to another, "Shaving is no longer a mundane task to be accomplished in the shower, but a luxurious, rewarding, act of self-care." Are you shook right now, too? I didn't know a razor review could make me feel so empowered.

If you want to bring 24-karat magic to your legs, be sure to preorder this bad boy on Oui Shave's site. It will ship out the week of Nov. 27, so until then, let the hair grow proudly.

This Tattoo Artist Makes Stretch Marks Disappear Before Your Eyes

Many women become frustrated with their pesky stretch marks, but a tattoo artist from
São Paulo, Brazil, has found a way to make them less noticeable. Rodolpho Torres specializes in stretch mark camouflage and the results are truly astounding.

After the tattoos heal, the client's skin has a more even appearance, and the stretch marks seem to disappear. The only way to truly remove stretch marks is with expensive laser treatments, but it's amazing to see this alternative method of making them blend into the skin.

It's important to note that stretch marks are incredibly common and there's nothing wrong with having them and embracing them. However, this method seems like a great option for women who are unhappy or insecure about their skin.

Right now you might have to travel to Brazil to get these tattoos, but we hope that this tattoo method will come to the states soon.

This Powerful Photo of a Baby Still Connected to His Placenta Shows How Mind-Blowing Birth Is

The first moments of a baby's life are a whirlwind - so much is happening that it's almost impossible to stop and simply appreciate what has just happened. One midwife-turned-photographer, Emma Jean Nolan, took the opportunity to capture the awe-inspiring power of birth with a startlingly beautiful image. In it, a newborn baby is still connected to his placenta by his umbilical cord that is adjusted to spell out the word "love."

Her intention with the image of baby Harper, which was shot just 90 minutes after he was born last week, was to draw attention to an ancient Maori tradition of burying a newborn's placenta after their birth. Nolan wrote on Facebook:

As a Maori baby his placenta will now be returned to the land. The word 'whenua' relates to the placenta and to the land. Whenua (placenta) is returned to the whenua (land) with the pito (umbilical cord) the link between the newborn and papatuanuku (mother earth). With this affinity established, each individual fulfils the role of curator, for papatuanuku (mother earth), which remains life long.

Interestingly, Nolan told us that she'd been planning to take a photo like this for a while but "was waiting for a baby with a long enough cord to spell" the word. She said, "Once I saw how long Harper's cord was, I knew he was the right baby!"

Although this method for honoring the placenta is rare in the US, the Australian photographer's black-and-white image has gotten more than 2,500 "likes" on Facebook in less than a week, probably because it shows readers - even moms - a sight they've likely never seen before: what is actually birthed when a newborn baby enters the world.

Does Donald Trump Have a Dog? No - and That’s Not Even the Craziest Part

Presidents tend to have a lot in common. They are married to spouses who work to carry on American values, with whom they live in the same house and with whom they assumedly sleep in the same bed. They raise largely successful children who don't work for them and who they've never mentioned wanting to sleep with. They are hardworking and smart, available at all hours to fight for America. They rarely take time off for leisure save for brief reprieves with literature. And they have a dog - or two.

Much of the same cannot be said of our current president, Donald Trump. In fact, Trump is the first president in more than 100 years to be dogless. This gaping hole in Americanness shouldn't be that shocking given Mr. Trump's contrarian, "Drain the swamp!" style.

Several presidents have gone dogless, but the last president to be without a dog was William McKinley, who was commander in chief from 1897-1901. However, according to the Presidential Pet Museum, McKinley did have pets: he had a parrot, two angora kittens, and roosters. Does Trump have any pets? The Presidential Pet Museum believes not.

Also of note before McKinley is Andrew Johnson. He didn't have a dog, was impeached in 1868 and apparently "left flour out at night for a family of white mice playing in his room" amidst the political drama. Pet food for thought.

One fluffy, silver lining is that Trump has reportedly attempted to get a dog in recent months, specifically a goldendoodle named Patton. As the New York Post reported in January, Trump was set to adopt the pup from friend Lois Pope, but Pope kept the dog after forming a connection with it herself. Pope claims Trump listed his constant traveling as a reason why he'd be a poor owner. Hmm.

Further proof that Trump seems to be anticanine? He loves insulting people by saying they failed or choked "like a dog" on Twitter.

We're anxious to know what will become of Trump's presidential pet ownership, but we do know one thing: getting a dog might help solve his failing disapproval ratings. As the Washington Post observes, a presidential dog offers good publicity and bipartisan relatability. They also provide personal benefits like stress reduction and loyalty.

Might not want to let that sleeping dog lie, President Trump.
