How to Get Taylor Swift's Perfect Armpits
Taylor Swift has garnered millions of followers for her catchy musical hits, celebrity feuds, ever-changing beauty looks, and . . . her armpits. Yes, there is an entire Subreddit devoted to the singer's underarms. Why have fanatics honed in on such a small part of her anatomy? Well, they do look pretty soft and smooth. Taylor obviously doesn't have any issues with dark spots or shaving scars. Grooming your underarms is a tedious task that must be done, but using better techniques for more effective results can make it a little more bearable.
- Hold it: Shave your armpits as late into your shower as possible. The warm water helps soften the coarse hair in this area, so shaving will be a little easier.
- Scrub-a-dub: Make sure you remove all traces of your deodorant with a thorough washing. You might also want to consider exfoliating with a body scrub like The Body Shop Mango Scrub ($24) for a more even shave. (Do this before flicking the Gillette, of course.)
- Up, down, and all around: I prefer using a razor with multiple blades, because with more blades working, it gets the job done a lot faster. That and you don't have to shave an already-sensitive area over and over. After lathering up with a great shaving cream, lift the arm high and start shaving. Shave up, down, and side to side. Keeping the skin taut will result in a closer shave, so pull your skin however it needs to go to create an even surface. Rinsing the blade off after every other stroke or so will also keep the razor nice and unclogged.
- Minirazor: If you encounter an area that's difficult to maneuver around or if you discover you've missed a few hairs, a minirazor should do the trick. Try Noxzema Razors For Women ($3).
- Don't be dull: It should go without saying, but make sure your razor isn't dull. Check out these tips for extending the life of your razor, and happy - or at least less tedious - shaving!

How I Kicked My 20-Year-Long Nail-Biting Habit For Good
"I feel sorry for your fingers." Those were the six words that came out of the woman's mouth when she took my hands to try and bless them with a manicure for my wedding. Can I get an ouch?
As painful as that sentence was to take in - especially so close to my big day - truth be told, it was just what I needed to hear to recognize how out of control my nail-biting habit had become. See, I've been a nail-biter for 20-some long years. Looking back, I can't recall how this grotesque, compulsive habit even started, but it's one that has followed me well into adulthood.
It's embarrassing, to say the least - and honestly, I don't think many people realized how much the constant urge to pick, pull, or bite at my fingernails consumed me. But really, that was my goal, because every time I'd shred my cuticles to the point where they'd be dripping with blood - gross, I know - I'd hide each wounded finger so no one would notice. Because what sane person nips at their nail (and the skin around it) until red liquid oozes out, right? To make matters worse, I would feel strangely satisfied each time this happened.
If you are also a chronic nail-biter, I'm hoping you can relate. (By hoping, what I really mean is: please tell me you've experienced similar scenarios so I don't feel too crazy.) And if by chance you are nodding your head in agreement, please know that I, too, feel your pain. What's more? I've got good news for you.
After years of searching high and low for an effective nail-biting solution - and literally trying every single program under the sun - I finally found a method that actually worked. Although it was one of the hardest challenges I've endured, I'm confident that if I can nip this nasty habit in the bud, anyone can.
So if you're ready to quit biting your nails once and for all - and, let's be real, who isn't? - your guide to beautiful hands awaits ahead!

All the Places You Can Watch Fixer Upper Right Now
HGTV announced in September that everyone's favorite home improvement show, Fixer Upper, is ending after the next season. Season five will be the last set of new episodes for Texas couple Chip and Joanna Gaines. Nooooo!
Of course, it's understandable that the Gaines's might want a break. They recently revealed that they film the series 11 months out of the year, and it hasn't left a lot of time for family activities. Plus, their fame has led to several other expansive business opportunities, like their own home store, bakery, and real estate agency, so Chip and Joanna definitely have their hands full.
But if you want to keep reliving the gorgeous renovation projects (and also the Gaines's adorable family life on their Texas farm), here are your options for watching previous seasons.
- Old episodes are rebroadcast all the time on HGTV, including a marathon that is running all day Nov. 21, the day of the season five premiere. Check your local TV listings for all broadcast times.
- A handful of episodes are available to stream on the HGTV website.
- Sling TV streaming service offers HGTV live and on-demand with its most basic package, which runs $20/mo.
- The first three seasons of Fixer Upper are available to stream on Hulu.
- The first four seasons of the home renovation show are available for purchase on Amazon Prime.
But take heart, fans. Season five will run for 19 episodes, plus the spinoff series, Fixer Upper: Behind the Design, is debuting May 2018.
The Most Popular Lipstick on Pinterest Only Costs $8
True life: I'm a prestige beauty brand sucker. I'm fancy and fabulous, which means that I've paid upward of $50 for one single lipstick. Yes, it's too much. Do I regret it? Absolutely not - my lips looked totally fire. However, according to Pinterest, one of the best and most popular shades out there retails for a very affordable $9.
As Allure reports, the photo-sharing website has noticed a spike in interest for L'Oréal Paris Infallible Paints in Spicy Blush ($9). Although it's definitely more of a lacquer than your traditional lipstick bullet, this shade has won fans over with its opaque coverage and shiny, almost vinyl-esque finish.
As one Target reviewer wrote, "I think [Spicy Blush] is a perfect color on any skin tones. It's just a perfect color for anyone, really." According to another, "These lip paints are gorgeous with amazing color payoff . . . I don't feel the need to reapply excessively." Can we get a "hell yeah" for a lunch-proof shine?
What's more, the rose hue is crazy-versatile. It's subdued and dusty enough for Fall and Winter, but just bright enough once Spring comes around again. It's almost like the white button-down shirt of lip paints - an old, reliable go-to that looks chic and polished.

The Little Boy Who Asked For Christmas Cards During His Cancer Treatment Has Passed Away
Update: After receiving an outpour of support in the form of thousands of Christmas cards from strangers (and celebrities) around the world, Jacob Thompson passed away on Nov. 19 after losing his long battle with cancer. Our thoughts are with his family.
Original Story: After battling a rare form of cancer known as stage four neuroblastoma for years, 9-year-old Jacob Thompson's family got news no parent can begin to imagine: he likely won't make it to Christmas. In an effort to keep Jacob's spirits up and the pain at bay, his parents asked the world to send their son Christmas cards - and people are delivering. Jacob's mother, Michelle Thompson Simard, explained that her son has been taken to the hospital for the very last time in a heartbreaking message on the family's Go Fund Me page:
"On Oct. 11, 2017 Jacob was admitted to the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital for the last time. Jacob's neuroblastoma has spread to his head - namely the sinuses, bottom of the skull, several spots in the small bones in the inner ear and several spots on the membrane between the skull and brain. We started radiation a week prior and Jacob's condition got worse and he was having no success with oral pain meds."
After doctors realized the cancer had spread to his hip, they gave Jacob only a month longer to live - urging his parents to spend as much time with him as possible over the next few weeks. The Thompson family has every intention of making the time they have left with their son special and decided to celebrate Christmas early by decorating his hospital room, scheduling an in-person visit with Santa Claus, and watching him open tons of holiday cards from well-wishers.
Planning on sending a card? Mail it to:
Jacob Thompson
C/O Maine Medical Center

Portland, ME 04102
"Jacob loves the holiday season," Michelle said in an interview with Good Housekeeping, "and we want him to know that Christmas wishes come true and that there are good people who care all around the world."

What Diversity and Inclusion in Modeling Means to 9 Victoria's Secret Angels
With 55 models representing 20 countries cast in the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai, it was bound to be the most diverse cast yet. And when we spoke with the models backstage before they show, they were feeling empowered by these stats.
Plus, lead hairstylist Anthony Nadar and Tom Pecheaux made sure to embrace the models' natural beauty and features. For hair, Nadar gave most models glam bombshell waves using a blow dryer, extensions, and a curling iron. While this style looks gorgeous on many, it can damage natural hair. So anyone who has curly hair was able to rock their god-given texture. On the makeup side, Pecheaux cocktails Victoria's Secret Velvet Matte Lio Cream Stains to create bespoke nude shades for each model.
Here, nine models weighed in on what being in the most diverse roster yet means to them.

Introverts are seriously amazing, but certain aspects of the personality type can lead to some kind of . . . awkward situations. I Found the Perfect Mascara For Anyone Scared to Use an Eyelash Curler
I am incapable of using an eyelash curler. Believe me, I've tried: I curled my eyelashes every day for an entire year to try to master the skill, and I still never got it right. I know my lashes can be curled. I've seen other people do it, and I know what a difference it makes. But ultimately, my lack of fine motor skills overcame my desire for perfect lashes, and I gave up.
I am lucky to have long lashes that show a lot of promise. Because they are fairly straight, the length isn't as noticeable when my lashes are sticking straight out. But coax them upward and suddenly they are the kind of lashes people notice.
However, without an eyelash curler, I need my mascara to do all of the curling, lengthening, and separating for me while also not looking clumpy - which is a tall order. Over the years, I have tried mascara after mascara that friends and POPSUGAR editors have raved about, only to be disappointed. I ask near-strangers what magical mascara they are wearing, but the magic never works on me.
Then I tried Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara ($23) and I knew immediately that my search was over. Read on to learn why I'm obsessed with Stila Huge.
Everything You Need to Know About Freezing Your Eggs - Including the Best Time to Do It
According to the CDC, more US women are having children in their early 30s now than ever before. For the first time, this age group of moms surpasses the number of women giving birth in their late 20s. As more women wait to have kids to instead travel, focus on their career, or accomplish what they can before motherhood, fertility preservation becomes a more important option.
To find out exactly what the process entails and get all your questions answered, we spoke with Dr. Monica Best of Prelude Fertility.
Fertility Options For Women and Men
Men have the option of preserving fertility through semen cryopreservation, while women can opt for egg cryopreservation (aka egg freezing). Best shared that you can also cryopreserve embryos via in vitro fertilization (IVF), which would be ideal for couples who plan to defer having children for one or more years. Eggs collected from the female patient are combined with the male's semen sample to manually create the embryo to be frozen. But egg cryopreservation is a great option for any woman, single or not, since the process doesn't require a partner at the time.
Best Age to Freeze Your Eggs
The younger you are, the more eggs you have, the better your pregnancy rate, and the lower your chance of miscarriage when you return to utilize those eggs. Best says your early 30s or even late 20s would be most ideal, but it's also important to know how your current egg bank is looking. If you're in your early to mid-20s and already have a diminished number of eggs, you may want to consider fertility preservation sooner.
"In your mid-30s you see the most rapid decline in ovary reserve, so you should be targeting it before then," Best said.
When Eggs Expire
Thankfully, never! The amount of time your eggs stay frozen does not affect your chances of getting pregnant, which means you can preserve them for as long as you need. "There isn't any data that says that if you came back 10 years or five years from now your odds of pregnancy success would be any different," Best told POPSUGAR. "So if you freeze in your 20s or 30s and you don't meet the man of your dreams until you are 45, your pregnancy rate is associated with that of when you were in your 20s or 30s."
However, keep in mind that the risk of birth complications only increases with age.
What the Process Looks Like
Typically, the process involves daily injections for 12 days of a medication called gonadotropin, which stimulates the ovaries to generate mature eggs. Once all the eggs are at the appropriate size, a trigger shot is given to help the eggs undergo the final stages of maturation. 36 hours later when the eggs are ripe, they're then extracted for freezing in a 20-minute procedure, in which the patient is usually under anaesthesia.
"The way we extract the eggs - there are no incisions - so there's a transvaginal ultrasound with a needle tied on the end of that that goes through the vagina and into the follicles on the ovaries," Best said. "We drain the follicular fluid from that and then the lab isolates the eggs from that fluid."
According to Best, the average woman at reproductive age will have somewhere between 10 to 20 eggs if she has a normal ovarian reserve. From those 10 to 20 collected eggs, only a third to two thirds of those eggs will be mature.
"Not everything you collect will be mature, not everything will form an embryo once it's fertilized, and not every embryo will grow while it's cultured," she said. "So the more eggs you have, the more quality eggs you have, and you can sustain some of that attrition that occurs throughout the process."
How Much Pain to Expect
For the most part, you shouldn't experience a whole lot of pain post-procedure. Expect to have some heavy cramping and spotting, but Best said that most patients are back to work within the next day or two.
How Much It Costs
The average medication cost (to stimulate the ovaries) can range anywhere from $2,000 to $8,000, depending on how much treatment you'll need. Those with a lower number of eggs will require more medications to stimulate those eggs, which equals a higher cost. The actual egg-freezing process will set you back an an additional $9,000 to $10,000. Unfortunately, most women pay out of pocket since insurance doesn't typically cover egg cryopreservation. If you're looking to generate and freeze your embryos, you're looking at $14,000 to $15,000.
Egg storage also comes at a price. Consider it like a renter's fee; patients normally spend around $400 a year to store their eggs. But remember that patient financing is also available and certain programs like Prelude Fertility offer ways to keep costs down, including free storage for the first three years.
Holy Sh*t - Halo Top Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream Is Here and It's Unreal
Today, friends, we have a holiday miracle to bestow upon you, a cornucopia of blessings. We barely had a hot minute to recover from the emotional meltdown that ensued after seeing all seven of the new Halo Top flavors before freaking the f*ck out again when we realized that a pint of pumpkin freakin' pie was waiting for us to taste, too.
Because we care about you, we wanted to be the first to let you know that no, this is not a vivid hallucination, and yes, Halo Top Pumpkin Pie is in fact real and available this season until the end of November. At only 360 calories per pint, you could annihilate a carton in a single serving, and it's still about the same number of calories as a single slice of pumpkin pie. Let the pumpkin-spiced pandemonium begin.
Pumpkin Pie is a flawless flavor - it unanimously scored five out of five from all taste testers, as we were blown away by its beauty, its glory, its flavor, and its gift to our senses and our health. The taste is not too sweet, not too overpowering, and not even the slightest bit artificial - it's as if you blended an actual pie into a creamy pumpkin milkshake and served it in scoops. It's got a bit of a texture from the pie crust, which makes it not just pumpkin flavor, but pumpkin pie flavor, and we appreciate that attention to detail.
Here's what our (clearly overwhelmed and marveled) taste testers had to say.
- "Oh. My. F*cking. God."
- "Holy sh*t, man."
- "Yum! Love the pie bits!"
- "HALLOWEEN YUMMERZ."
- "OMG! Tastes like Thanksgiving!!"
- "I don't like pumpkin pie, but I LOVE THIS."
- "Lovin' the pie crusts!"
- "SO GOOD!"
- "Tastes just like pumpkin pie! Crazy!"
- "EXACTLY like pumpkin pie."
- "Delicious!"
- "I have never tried a better pumpkin-flavored anything."
- "Today I was reminded that God loves me and I think I saw the face of Jesus."
Now you know what to do: sprint to your local grocer and stock up as if the ice cream apocalypse is upon us. Buy an extra freezer for your garage, and load it with Halo Top Pumpkin Pie. Enjoy!

- Call a friend: Don't text; dial! Calling a close friend is a great way to talk over your worries and get advice from someone you trust.
- Try something new: Stop your rut by switching things up. Try a new gym class or restaurant, or take a new route to work in the morning.

- Rest up: If you're having a hard time getting your mind off things, reset with a power nap. A short break will give your mind and body a rest and will help you approach things differently when you wake.
- Know it's going to be OK: Just remember, it's always going to be OK.

Update: Additional details officially revealed by Warner Bros. have been added to the original story below.
Merlin's beard! Harry Potter is about to make a serious comeback - on our mobile phones.
On Nov. 8, it was reported that Niantic Labs - the company behind the phenomenon that was Pokémon Go - is working on a follow-up to their 2016 AR masterpiece, and that the subject would be none other than Harry Potter. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is expected to be released in 2018 on all devices (just like its predecessor) and the official website for the game describes the gameplay as exploring "real-world neighbourhoods and cities to discover mysterious artifacts, learn to cast spells, and encounter legendary beasts and iconic characters along the way!" Here's what TechCrunch, who first broke the news, had to say about the development:
"The app is now official, but the details are still scarce, with the launch timeframe of just sometime next year, but it sounds like there will be significant influence from the Niantic game Ingress, which allows players to roam the real world collecting power-ups, defending locations and exploring their environment.
The mechanics of Ingress would actually translate pretty well to the fictional Harry Potter universe, and seems almost ready-made for a fantasy spell casting coat of paint to replace its science-fiction special forces veneer. Also, like Pokémon Go, it could benefit from the location database built up by Ingress originally (and expanded by the Pokémon title) to incorporate real-world locations into the in-game experience."
I don't know about you guys, but I definitely just set up a Google Alert - and you can bet that we'll be bringing you all the additional details on the forthcoming game the second we hear anything more.

This 1 Major Clue Could Explain How the House Fire Started on This Is Us
This Is Us has had us going through tissue box after tissue box with every episode in the second season, but we've still yet to find out how Jack died. It's the story that has been referenced throughout the entire series thus far, and it's likely the story that will make us ugly cry the hardest. At this point, we know that the Pearson patriarch dies in a house fire, and now the details that surround that heartbreaking night are starting to come together.
Season two's eighth episode, "Number One," focuses on Kevin's present-day battle with substance abuse and alcoholism, and the troublesome teenage years that lead up to it. The episode opens with a power outage and Jack working on the breaker box to make sure the power is back by the time a Pitt football coach arrives to meet with Kevin. Breaker box? House fire? Maybe, but following Kevin's ruthless hormonal attitude to the coach, Jack sends him upstairs to write an apology letter.
Before Kevin walks upstairs to see his father reciting the AA serenity prayer on his knees, the camera focuses on the lamp on Kevin's desk for a long enough time that we took note. Reddit user _daath theorizes that the lamp could be what started the fire or that it started in Kevin's room (he's living in the basement at the time). "It would explain the theory that Jack is able to get his other kids out of the house and him having to go back in and 'save' Kevin in his room with Jack not knowing that Kevin wasn't home," they wrote.
During the season two premiere, when it's confirmed that Jack dies in a fire, Kate tearfully tells Randall that they have to go find Kevin and tell him the sad news. She immediately knows where he is - with Sophie, and in a full leg cast, presumably following his knee surgery. But could this understanding of Kevin's location during the fire be the reason both Kate and Kevin feel so much irreparable guilt for their father's death?
Well, the same Redditor seems to think so, and we can't help but really wonder about this theory. "It's possible Kevin snuck [sic] out the night of the fire without anyone knowing except Kate," they wrote. "She either covers for him, or sees him sneak out without Kevin knowing. Jack goes back in the house to save Kevin before Kate and can tell him that he wasn't there. So Kate feels guilty that he never told her father and Kevin feels guilty because maybe he left his lamp on, it started the fire, and he didn't tell anyone he was leaving which lead to Jack going back in to save him."
Adding fuel to the _____ (we don't have the heart to write it), is at the time, Kevin is in a full leg cast, so it does make sense that Jack would run inside to save him knowing that he wouldn't be able to get out of the house on his own.
We also couldn't help but notice the obvious washing machine in the basement near the exposed breaker box, which practically screams "electrical fire waiting to happen!" And remember the season one episode "The Best Washing Machine in the Whole World," which sees teenage Kevin move into the basement because he can't deal with Randall's late-night studying? He complains to Rebecca about how the new washing machine won't turn off. Is there anything this kid doesn't complain about?!
It's all incredibly heartbreaking to watch Jack's impending death unfold, and equally as difficult to watch present-day Kevin struggling with addiction like his father did. Fortunately it's all starting to piece together, even if it's painful. We can speculate as much as we want, but all the theories in the world won't change the fact that we're going to cry like babies when we finally find out what caused the fire that led to Jack's death. Until then, we'll never let go, Jack.
If This Is Where Claire Is Headed, Outlander Is About to Get Dark
If you think Outlander heroine Claire Fraser has been through a lot in three seasons, well, you're right. She works as a military nurse in World War II, gets married, travels through time, gets married again, gets pregnant twice, loses a child, gives birth to a child, loses a husband, travels through time again, and is now off on a high seas adventure to the West Indies.
For a preview of what's in store for Claire in what's left of season three, check out our guide to Diana Gabaldon's Voyager. But to find out what might befall Claire in seasons four, five, and beyond, read on below for a guide to Gabaldon's other novels in the Outlander series.
Be warned of spoilers from books four through eight below.
Drums of Autumn
On their way to the plantation owned by Jamie's Aunt Jocasta, Jamie, Claire, Ian and Fergus are robbed by Stephen Bonnet, a man they had previously helped escape the gallows in Charleston. He makes off with the rest of their money, treasure and Claire's gold wedding band from her marriage to Frank.
Upon establishing that they don't want to take over Jocasta's plantation, the Frasers settle Fraser's Ridge in North Carolina, making it a place for ex Ardsmuir prisoners to call home. This is where we suspect we'll see Murtagh again after he survived Culloden on the show (he perished there in the books).
After establishing their settlement, word of Claire's skills as a medic spreads far and wide and she begins traveling the nearby countryside tending to the sick.
She is reunited with Brianna when her daughter arrives at Fraser's Ridge, having traveled through time to warn her parents because she found a record of their death notice in an old newspaper (though that printing turned out to be incorrect). When Claire learns that Brianna is pregnant, she agrees to keep her daughter's secret that she was raped by Bonnet and he may be the father of her baby.
After Jamie's misunderstanding about who raped Brianna, Claire must travel with Jamie and Ian to rescue Roger Wakefield from a local Native American tribe that is holding him prisoner. They manage to get Roger back when Ian agrees to take Roger's place; Ian is adopted into the Mohawk tribe and stays with them for a long while.
Claire helps Brianna deliver her son, and Roger says he's the baby's father, the paternity notwithstanding.
The Fiery Cross
The Frasers attend Jocasta's wedding where a slave ends up dead and Claire suspects foul play. Upon investigating, they figure out it was one of Jocasta's would-be suitors whose advances she rebuffed. He also attacked Jocasta and her husband-to-be, Duncan. But he was not connected to the men looking for "the Frenchman's gold," a reference to money sent by Louis XV of France to help in Charles Stuart's rebellion.
Back at Fraser's Ridge, Claire starts improving her medical supplies by cultivating her own penicillan from moldy bread. It saves Jamie life when he is bitten by a snake while hunting.
Much of The Fiery Cross is actually focused on those around Claire, while she works to be the best 18th-century doctor she can be. But at the end of the book, she, Brianna and Roger all confess to Ian that they're from the future.
A Breath of Snow and Ashes
Claire holds down the homestead while Jamie must go off to act as an "Indian agent" for the government, which culminates in him helping start a Committee of Safety (one of the first forms of local government in the United States). On a trip to the malting shed (where they are making their own whiskey), Claire is attacked and kidnapped by a group of criminals that includes a fellow time-traveler named Wendigo Donner from 1968.
While captive, Claire is assaulted and raped. She manages to escape and Jamie, Ian, Fergus and Co. slaughter most of the men who kidnapped her.
As she continues her medical practice, Claire manages to make her own ether and eventually uses it to perform a successful appendectomy on a sick young boy. She also treats people for a devastating plague, saving as many as she can.
Eventually Claire's medical prowess begins to be seen as a kind of witchcraft. When a young pregnant girl named Malva is found dead, Claire tries to save the unborn baby, which lands her in jail on trial for murder. The only thing that saves Claire is the governor's need for a midwife for his wife. Due to rising political tensions in New Bern (the Revolutionary War is less than a year away at this point), Claire poses as the governor's wife so that his real wife may be smuggled out in the middle of the night.
Eventually Malva's father confesses to her murder and Claire is exonerated and allowed to return to Fraser's Ridge. A few months pass and Brianna gives birth to a daughter, Amanda, whom Claire says has a heart murmur that will require surgery - surgery she cannot perform safely in 1776. So Brianna, Roger and their two children travel back through the stones to the 20th century.
Claire and Jamie continue their lives at Fraser's Ridge until Donner and his companions loot their house looking for gemstones (which aid in traveling through the stones). In the riot, Ian sets the house on fire, trapping all the criminals inside. With their house gone, Jamie says they need to return to Scotland to retrieve his printing press.
An Echo in the Bone
Of course, you know what they say about the best-laid plans of mice and men - they often go awry.
Claire, Jamie and Ian try to set sail for Scotland, but their ship is stopped by a British naval vessel that presses Jamie and Ian into service. When a second ship attacks the British ship, Jamie is forced to join a militia for a while. During the Battle of Saratoga, Claire works as a medic for the militia and must amputate one of Jamie's fingers. At the second Battle of Saratoga, Jamie's cousin, SImon Fraser, is killed. Simon's general asks Jamie to take Simon's body back to Scotland for a proper burial, so Jamie, Claire and Ian finally set sail for home.
They arrive at Lallybroch to find that young Ian's father, Ian Sr., is dying, but Claire soon receives a letter from Marsali back in Philadelphia, asking her to come perform life-saving surgery on Marsali and Fergus' youngest, a boy named Henri-Christian. Claire and young Ian return to America, while Jamie stays behind to be with Ian and Jenny while Ian passes.
After Ian's death, Jenny decides to go to America with Jamie, but they miss the boat they initially were meant to be on and must take another one. When the first boat sinks, everyone in America (Claire, Ian, Lord John) think that Jenny and Jamie have perished at sea because they haven't gotten word of the travel plans changing. A British captain wants to then arrest Claire as a spy, so she marries Lord John for protection. The two eventually become intimate - not because they love each other, but out of their shared grief for Jamie.
Written in My Own Heart's Blood
Jamie and Claire are finally reunited (again) and reconcile, even though Jamie has a lot of feelings to work through about Claire and Lord John. But as the country is in the throes of the Revolutionary War, Claire and Jamie don't have much choice but to join the fight.
They join General Washington's army, but within a month Claire is shot and Jamie resigns his post to stay with her as she recovers. THey eventually decide to return to Fraser's Ridge, but are waylaid by the death of Henri-Christian, who dies in a fire in Fergus' printshop. The grieving Frasers and Murrays move to Savannah, Ga., to start again, but when the British invade the city, Jamie takes Claire, Ian, Ian's wife Rachel, Jenny and Fergus' eldest son, Germain, back to Fraser's Ridge. Fergus, Marsali and their two daughters remain in Savannah.
Back at Fraser's Ridge, the man who raped Claire those many years ago when she was captive appears. Jamie leaves to find him and kill him, while Brianna, Roger and their two children show back up at Fraser's Ridge.
While Claire has been embroiled in the Revolutionary War, Brianna and Roger have been having a time-traveling adventure of their own that involves Jemmy being kidnapped and all of them ending up decades farther back in time than they meant to go, 1739. But they are eventually able to find each other and get back to Claire and Jamie. And that's where the latest book ends.
If Outlander manages to go eight seasons, suffice to say that there is still plenty of action and adventure in store for the characters.
Maybelline Is Launching a Millennial Pink, Coconut-Scented Mascara - Game Over!
During Spring 2018 New York Fashion Week, makeup artists were using a lab sample for a coconut-infused mascara by Maybelline. And I've been hunting it down ever since. Let me repeat that: a Maybelline coconut mascara. How cool!
This magic wand - dubbed Total Temptation - combines a bevy of buzzy aspects, including the aforementioned coconut ingredient, matte millennial pink-colored packaging (similar to KKW Beauty and Fenty Beauty by Rihanna), and a drugstore price point ($9). The cap also has an easy-to-grip flat part.
OK, now that you already know you want it need it, let's get into the nitty-gritty deets. The mascara formula is light and fluffy, like a soft mousse. That is because it's whipped with coco butter. When I applied it, Total Temptation instantly made my lashes feel conditioned, similar to lash primer.
It gives lashes a voluminous, dense look; and for me, it also added length in just a few swipes. (See proof in the photo below.) This is not a mascara you'll need to stroke your lashes with for a full minute until you see results. Rather, it adds instant lift and density. Maybelline pros suggest wiggling the wand from base to tip, but I prefer a clean stroke, and then I feather out the ends.
The scent is subtle. This is not a sugary vacation cocktail in a mascara, but rather a hint of soothing coconut butter that you'll experience if you hold the tube up to your nose. I have pretty sensitive skin and eyes, and the fragrance did not irritate me.
You can buy Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara in Brownish Black, Very Black, and Blackest Black at Amazon now and at your local drugstore in January 2018.
Hold Up, Millie Bobby Brown's Hair Is So Long and Luscious Now!
It's been more than a year since Millie Bobby Brown catapulted to Hollywood and fashion fame after starring in the Netflix hit Stranger Things. For as long as she's been in the spotlight, we've been used to seeing her hair extremely short (the 13-year-old did, after all, actually shave her head to play Eleven).
On the red carpet, Millie usually favors her hair tightly pulled back in buns, ponytails, and slicked back. You can imagine our surprise, then, when she showed up to the season two premiere of her show with blunt shoulder-length hair, worn down.
Seriously, what hair vitamins does she take, because my hair has grown exactly one and a half inches since a year ago. She's blessed. Her strands are also looking ridiculously shiny and healthy. We think this calls for appreciation at all angles.
See more photos of her new style, ahead.

6 Closet Organization Tips I Learned Straight From an Ikea Pro
Marie Kondo once said, "Storage should reduce the effort needed to put things away, not the effort needed to get them out." From personal experience, I can attest she's right. For years I lived with my bedroom in a state of perpetual clutter for the sole reason that there was no easy place for me to put my stuff away. Piles of pants grew into mountains, purses overflowed out of one tiny closet until the door wouldn't close, and shirts took up long-term residency atop one of three dilapidated dressers because the broken drawers required exhaustive wrestling to open. Soon the room was more laundry pile than personal space. I was overwhelmed, and my response was to keep the door shut.
Despite the poor condition my clothing and accessories were living in, I valued them and had spent time building a fashion collection I cared about. I wanted a storage solution to match; something that not only accommodated all my items, but celebrated them. I wanted a celeb-worthy dream closet - but getting Champagne on my beer budget wasn't going to be easy. Just when I had given up and resigned to living in a name-brand garbage dump, Ikea reached out to me.
The retailer's incredibly talented home tour makeover squad knew just how to give me the luxurious high-fashion wardrobe storage solution I craved at a reasonable price. Designer Stephanie Recupero led the project. After seeing the space and learning of my needs, she declared that a customized Pax wardrobe was just the solution I was looking for. Check out the slideshow ahead to learn Stephanie's six pro design decisions that made my closet so fantastic, and then read how my new wardrobe impacted so much more than my clothes.
Products and installation for the author were provided by Ikea for the purpose of writing this story.

The Cutest Pictures of Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía of Spain

Challenge: Can You Do 50 Burpees in 5 Minutes?
Go-getters. Those brave people who constantly set goals, usually smash said goals, reevaluate their success, and set their next conquest, aren't as rare a breed as you'd think. If you're reading this article, you're one of these go-getters who seem to make the world spin faster. Are you looking for your next challenge right now? We at POPSUGAR have got the test you need to try. The challenge? Can you do 50 burpees in five minutes?
It sounds like a lofty goal, but with a little guidance from Sarah Chadwell, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, combined with your grit, you can smash this challenge, too. Let's get started!
Burpees: A Love-Hate Relationship
Burpees! Did you shudder? Usually just the thought of them makes even the fittest people feel at least a little sick because this is one move that is renowned for being brutal. But you can't knock the results they bring!
"Burpees are a physically demanding exercise because they tax almost every muscle in your body. Just one repetition includes a squat, a plank, a push-up, a hip thrust, a forward jump, and a vertical jump," said Chadwell.
All of these movements mean that one burpee hits your quads, glutes, hamstrings, hip flexors, calves, chest, shoulders, triceps, and even your abs! Plus, burpees test your cardiovascular and muscular endurance. If you thought it was the worst exercise before, think again. They're actually the perfect exercise to get fit or in this case, to show off just how fit you will become in the next 25 days.
Preparation to Complete 50 Burpees in 5 Minutes
So, how do you get to the point where you can do 50 burpees in five minutes? The answer isn't just doing burpees. In fact, you'll need to build up your cardio and muscular endurance in many ways beyond what this one exercise can do. Ahead is Chadwell's custom 25-day plan that will help you build up your total-body power and endurance.
The exercises you'll be doing for the next 25 days are squats, froggies, planks, burpees, and a fair amount of cardio. Here are Chadwell's tips on how to breeze through these moves on your way to 50 burpess in 5 minutes.
How to do a bodyweight squat:
- Stand with your head facing forward and your chest held up and out.
- Place your feet shoulder-width apart. Extend your hands straight out in front of you to help keep your balance. You can also bend the elbows or clasp the fingers gently behind your neck.
- Sit back and down like you're sitting into an imaginary chair. Keep your head facing forward as your upper body bends forward a bit. Rather than allowing your back to round, let your lower back arch slightly as you descend.
- Lower down so your thighs are as parallel to the floor as possible, with your knees over your ankles. Press your weight back into your heels.
- Keep your body tight, and push through your heels to bring yourself back to the starting position. This counts as one rep.
How to do a frogger:
- Begin in a plank position.
- Jump your feet to the outside of your hands, coming into a deep squat and keeping your hands on the floor.
- Jump your feet back to a plank to complete one rep.
How to do a plank:
- Balance on your hands and toes with your body in one straight line, hands underneath the shoulders, and feet hip-distance apart.
And of course – burpees:
- Lower into a crouching squat with your hands on the floor.
- Do a squat thrust by jumping your feet back into a plank position.
- Do one basic push-up, bending the elbows and then straightening back to plank.
- Jump the feet forward to the hands, and come into a squat.
- Do an explosive jump straight up, getting as much height as you can.
