See What's in Store For You in the New Year Based on Your Zodiac Sign

A new year equals new beginnings for everyone. It's a chance to work off of another clean slate, embrace change, and hopefully pick up some improvements along the way. To find out what 2018 has in store for you and to see out how you can gear up, starting now, we've spoken with Athena Perrakis, PhD and founder and CEO of Sage Goddess.

Though there are those who traditionally celebrate New Year's on Jan. 1, Athena is one of the many who celebrates Samhain, the Celtic New Year, on Oct. 31. The Halloween holiday for us was honored by the ancient Celts as "a night of magical border crossing for spirits," according to Athena. The Celts then honored Nov. 1 as the start of their calendar year.

She continued to explain how ancient Celtic priests made predictions about the year ahead (mainly about agriculture and crop cycles) based on what they saw and divined on Samhain Eve and Samhain.

"Even today, some of our mainstream Halloween traditions - like bobbing for apples and gazing into scrying mirrors to look for hidden symbols and messages - have their roots in Celtic practice and lore," Athena told POPSUGAR. "We dress up in masks and costumes on Halloween so that the ghosts who cross the veil won't recognize us in our human clothing or recognize our human faces. All of these fun traditions have their roots in something older and more meaningful than many realize."

And even if you don't celebrate Samhain, it's still an excuse to start making those resolutions early or start anew. See what to expect in your new year, straight from Athena.

Aries

"Consider restarting your commitment to your health right now, Aries. It's well expected in your chart and with the new-year energy surrounding you, now is the time to put your well-being first in your life. Begin a new exercise regimen or new way of eating on Nov. 1 and to try commit to it through the end of December, long enough to create new patterns and habits. You've been sensing the need to make a change in your health, and now is definitely the time."

Taurus

"For you, Taurus, the new beginning looks like a reboot of your professional goals. Much has changed and shifted in your world this year, Taurus, and now is the time to take stock, making any necessary changes and also giving thanks for all of the blessings you've received. Trust your intuition when it comes to choosing a new position or even a new profession. Big changes can pay off for you!"

Gemini

"The magic of this season has you thinking about renewal, Gemini, and the many ways you can be reborn this year. You are looking around and trusting that you have all the information and guidance you need to make progress in your life, but you're missing motivation. Focus your thoughts on what and who you want to become, and take small steps to get started now. Recruit your fire sign friends - Leo, Sagittarius, and Aries - to help support you with their passion and enthusiasm."

Cancer

"For you, Cancer, this new-year energy is an invitation to connect more deeply with your inner circle. You've taken a lot of private time this year so far to reflect, and that's been good for you; you needed that time alone to recharge. But now your inner circle is needing time with you too. Plan a fun dinner party or pay an unexpected visit to those who haven't seen you recently. Book airfare now to spend the holidays with your family. You'll enjoy the time even more this year."

Leo

"Leo, you are so ready to focus on home, family, parties, and celebrations, and that's the energy surrounding this new year for you! You've been busy on the work front, and now - at last, as the ultimate hostess - you can turn your attention toward home and start hosting people for celebrations and ceremonies. The party's at your house, Leo! Make time for yourself too, because with your social calendar, it's important to keep your own personal vibration high."

Virgo

"A new beginning for you, Virgo, reveals that you will be able to work smarter, not harder, using skills you've recently developed and been working on behind the scenes. You knew there was a better way, and it would seem you're ready to share about it! Use this burst of energy and focus to complete tasks you've had on your to-do list for too long. An old friend may reappear, coming to town under the guise of a work engagement. If so, make time to see him or her. A new venture could emerge from your conversations."

Libra

"For you, Libra, a new beginning also means a chance to rest. You've been running hard and fast this year, and it's not clear why astrologically. But you feel like you've had the wind behind you, pushing you to complete unfinished tasks and assignments. Now, you can reflect and rest and rely on your intuition to guide you. It won't fail you!"

Scorpio

"Scorpio, now that Jupiter - the planet of gifts, mystery, and luck - is transiting your sign, you are in the driver's seat! Be very specific and focused when thinking about what you want to manifest right now. It's all possible for you! But only if you narrow your field of vision. Choose two to three projects you want to give extra energy and focus to right now or two to three dreams you really want to manifest this year. Less is more when it comes to focused manifestation."

Sagittarius

"Could it be true, Sagittarius, that you are ready to settle down a little? Maybe just for a little while! Your travel has drained you a little, and you're longing for the comforts of home and rest. Indulge those now because it looks like the holiday season will keep your calendar quite full. It's OK to admit that you need a break or time out."

Capricorn

"You've accomplished many of your goals for this year, Capricorn, but there are still a few things unfinished, and those have your attention at the moment. Think about how best to use your energy now to complete what is undone and also trust that Jupiter's transit to Scorpio will give you added insight as well that you can trust and count on to guide you."

Aquarius

"It's time for something new, Aquarius, and you know it! Of all the signs, Aquarius is the one who has most been wishing for a reboot, and your time has come. What would you create if you had no limitations to consider, Aquarius? Let yourself dream big now and see what can happen. It's all possible."

Pisces

"I see an expansion of your social circle ahead, Pisces, which might surprise you, but it's because many around you are finally starting to seek and appreciate (and trust) your counsel. The season of mystery and new beginnings is a reminder to others that magic is alive; fortunately for you, Pisces, you never forget that! A relationship that begins as a friendship now could grow stronger."

These 23 Secrets From a Former Disney World Employee Will Make Your Jaw Hit the Floor

Is Disney really all it's cracked up to be? Believe it or not, you'll be hard-pressed to find many former or current employees who don't have good things to say - for the most part. Either there's something in the water, or the company truly is great at what it does (we'll go with the latter). A former Walt Disney World employee did an AMA on Reddit that answered some pretty interesting questions - from people having sex in the parks to what really goes on behind the scenes. Spoiler alert: Disney World might actually be the Most Magical Place on Earth.

1. How many people approximately does Disney employ in Florida?

"On average, 75,000."

2. How seriously do they take costume and characters staying on?

"As a character performer, you could get fired for breaking character on stage."

3. Do those who are in the Mickey Mouse costumes and etc learn how to write their autographs as identical as possible?

"Yes, that's a requirement."

4. You get free tickets?

"I had a 'Self Admission Pass' that could get me into the parks for free whenever I wanted. I also earned three guest passes for every 150 hours I worked."

5. How do the character actors cope in the big suits when it is completely normal for the temperature to be pushing 100 degrees?

"If they're outside, They run on a 30 minutes on/30 minutes off schedule. If it's higher than 90 degrees outside, they're only in the costume for 20 minutes at a time."

6. I've had sex at Disneyland as a guest, and expect it would be easier for an employee. As a cast member, how many escapades were you able to get away with?

"The attractions all have cameras on them, so I assure you, some cast member saw everything you did. I actually never had sex in the parks, but I've heard some hilarious stories."

7. Do you miss working there? What's one of your more memorable moments (good or bad)?

"I miss it very much. I had a lot of memorable moments, but if I could pick a favorite, it would be a few nights before I left. I went to see Illuminations with all of my (attractions) coworkers from EPCOT. Our leader let us up onto one of the balconies in Italy to watch, which is a spot that not even guests get to go. I had become really close friends with these people."

8. Is Vista Way still called Vista Lay?

"Yes."

9. How aggressively do they update rides/walkways? Like from large scale rides to small details inside the park.

"It depends on what you mean by 'update'. The attractions have repairs/renovations done to them at least once a year. Every attraction has an opening checklist to be completed every morning, and a closing checklist to be completed every night. The items on any checklist usually relate to safety and show (everything should look the way it's supposed to). If even one of the items on the opening checklist doesn't pass, the attraction won't open until it's fixed."

10. Are there any stereotypes of people that play certain roles?

"I've met a lot of really sweet Rapunzels. Elsa is stuck up. Anna is also a sweetheart. Ariel is a mix. Tinker Bell is also really sweet. Oh and Tiana is always sarcastic and the very few Elena's that I met were such sweethearts and very friendly."

11. If you had a season pass and were forced to spend a year there, how would you plan out your stay as a guest/prisoner at Disney World?

"This would be the coolest thing ever because that means I could spend an entire year in Disney World and do whatever I want without consequences. I'd mess with people so much. Like I'd switch all the dolls in Small World around to all the wrong countries. I'd try to trick character performers into wearing mismatched costumes. I'd figure out how the interactive attractions work (Turtle Talk with Crush, Monsters Inc Laugh Floor) and use those to prank people. Stuff like that. As far as where I live, I'd probably figure out how to set up a permanent camp somewhere in Disney's Animal Kingdom, since that's the most I would be able to afford."

12. How accurate is Swoozie's diaries of an ex-Disney employee stories on YouTube?

"Mostly accurate. Keep in mind, he's a storyteller, so a lot of what he says is exaggerated since it makes for a better story."

13. Have you ever seen someone do anything terrible to the food that worked there?

"I never did, actually. Disney is very strict about food safety. Coordinators/leaders are watching the kitchen at all times, and there are cameras everywhere. I once got in trouble for eating a single french fry in front of people."

14. Did you serve alcohol there? Follow up, any funny stories of drunk parents and their embarrassed kids?

"Duh. Actually, I worked in EPCOT, which most Disney cast members have nicknamed 'the drunk park'. EPCOT houses the world showcase (alcohol from every corner of the world, pretty much), and hosts the annual International Food & Wine Festival. I had to deal with drunk guests on a daily basis, and I have two pretty funny stories pertaining to drunk guests:

1. I worked at a restaurant called the Electric Umbrella in EPCOT. One day, I was working at the counter, and a middle-aged man came up and bought a can of Bud Light. I opened one and handed it too him, and he chugged the entire thing in front of me, then handed it back and asked me to throw it out. A few minutes later, he came back and did the same thing. This happened two more times, then about 30 minutes later, I looked across the restaurant and saw his wife (I assume) yelling at him in front of their kids.

2. An extremely inebriated guest was trying to find Test Track. I spent 15 minutes (I counted) trying to explain to him that the ride he was looking for was right behind him."

15. What was the work culture there like? Any difference between lower-level and higher-level employees in attitude?

"I'm speaking from my own personal experience here, since every role is going to have a different feel to it. Most of the people that I worked with were super into their job. Disney trains us to treat everything as if it were one big show, so we just tried to make it fun. Everyone seemed to genuinely enjoy being at work.

There were a ton of strictly enforced rules and guidelines we had to follow, concerning everything from how you dress to how you have to act when you're 'on stage' (on stage means anywhere that you can be seen by guests). The leaders and coordinators usually had more of a stick up their rear end about these kinds of things, but I never had many problems with them. Part-time and full-time employees have a tendency to look down on/be condescending towards interns, but that doesn't always happen."

16. My sister worked for the Mouse and was treated horribly, especially when it came to housing where she was living with four people in a two-bedroom apartment, how was your experience?

"I had an amazing experience. Everyone seems to have a different experience when they come to work for Disney. It all depends on your perspective I guess. My experience with housing was pretty great, and I'm actually still friends with most of my roommates. I lived in two different apartment during my time there: the first was a one-bedroom three-person in Chatham Square, the next was also a one-bedroom three-person in Patterson Court."

17. Did you save any money while working at Disney? I've heard that they don't let you eat outside food, make you live in certain places, etc. so that in the end you don't really make any money.

"Those rumors are pretty exaggerated. Disney does offer housing to their interns, but they give you the option to live off-site. You can eat wherever you want. The last part is true though. By the end of my internship I broke even with my money."

18. If a person in a costume suffers a heart attack, stroke, etc. in the park, are they just dragged off somewhere?

"Disney has plans in place for situations like that. I'm not allowed to say what they are, but they do have policies in place."

19. So you aren't an ex-employee, then? Barring a lifetime NDA, pretty sure you're allowed to talk about them now that you've left.

"I am, but I don't want to jeopardize my chance of working for them again in the future. Disney keeps tabs on people that used to work for them, almost like a creepy ex-boyfriend/girlfriend."

20. Have you ever seen/interacted with someone famous or prestigious at the park?

"Neil Patrick Harris and Chris Evans. I found out that I'm a few inches taller than Chris, which made me feel really good. Like, I can tell people I'm taller than Captain America."

21. Do they really have underground tunnels for employees?

"Yes, but only at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. They're called the 'Utilidor' because Disney loves making new words for things."

22. Did your dreams come true?

"Yes, all of them. Even the weird ones."

23. Was it the happiest place on earth?

"Yes."

12 Hilarious Tweets Past Bachelor Contestants Sent During the Premiere

We made it, Bachelor Nation! It was a sad couple of months without our dramatic Monday nights, but season 22 of The Bachelor is finally here. Arie Luyendyk Jr., a 36-year-old race car driver and realtor in Scottsdale, AZ, was runner-up on Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette back in 2012. Now he's back and must get to know more than two dozen girls to (hopefully) find the one.

One of the great things about this franchise is that past contestants are never really gone. Many of them end up on Bachelor in Paradise or at least with an Instagram sponsorship or two. But beyond that, many are actually insanely funny as they live tweet new Bachelor episodes! They have an insider's perspective and aren't afraid to point out the good, the bad, and the downright weird.

Mystery Solved! Here's How Old The Bachelor's Bekah Is

The new year started off as every year should: with the premiere of The Bachelor! Blast from the past Arie Luyendyk Jr., a race car driver and realtor in Scottsdale, AZ, was introduced to more than two dozen women - and boy, were they . . . interesting.

Among them is Bekah Martinez, a nanny from Los Angeles. Bachelor Nation quickly realized a key piece of information missing about Martinez - her age. It's not shown on TV and doesn't even say it in her bio. Is she Benjamin Button? Does she even have an age? Well, everyone, she does. And that age is 22.

We can thank the Instagram gods for helping us solve this mystery! Martinez confirmed that her birthday is on Feb. 10, and on that day in 2016, she posted a picture with a #21. Now, I'm no Sherlock Holmes (maybe I am for figuring that out?), but that means that in 2017, she turned 22.

Why is this note-worthy, you may ask? Well, Luyendyk Jr. is 36 years old. So that means when he was on Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette back in 2012, Martinez was 17 years old - and too young to go on the show.

Martinez's age wasn't brought up in the season premiere, at the end of which she receives a rose. But a season teaser shows some the women discussing it. One woman says, "I think she is reluctant to tell Arie how old she is." And Martinez looks to get emotional about the topic.

Anyone hating on Martinez's age is probably just jealous of all the Instagram sponsorships she's going to have by her 23rd birthday (it's only funny 'cause it's true).

Have You Ever Noticed This 1 Song Plays in Every Season of Black Mirror?

"You can blame me, try to shame me, and still I'll care for you . . ."

If you're a Black Mirror fan, there's a chance the above lyrics have been burned into your memory, whether you realize it or not. In each season of Charlie Brooker's dystopian anthology series, Irma Thomas's "Anyone Who Knows What Love Is (Will Understand)" plays in one of the episodes. Most recently, the haunting, romantic ballad is a major part of the season four episode "Crocodile." It's also appeared in season one's "Fifteen Million Merits," season two's "White Christmas," and season three's "Men Against Fire." So, what's the deal with that song?

According to Brooker, it all started with a creative choice in season one, when Jessica Brown Findlay's Abi belts out the song during a reality competition show, "Hot Shot." It's her one chance to escape a life of endless physical drudgery, and the heartbreaking nature of the scene is greatly enhanced by her song choice.

"It was originally selected for ["Fifteen Million Merits"] because it was, it has the sound of a timeless haunting classic, yet wouldn't be familiar to most viewers," Brooker explained to The Wrap. "The idea was to have the character of Abi sing a song of earnest beauty."

The song pops up for the second time when Beth (Janet Montgomery) selects it as her karaoke bar song in the bleak season two episode "White Christmas," and again in season three's "Men Against Fire" when a character sings it while holding someone else at gunpoint.

Annabel Jones, Brooker's coshowrunner, revealed that the motivation behind bringing it back each season was because Brooker "liked the idea of nesting all the episodes together in an artistic universe of sorts."

"Oh, I think you know it is just - it's an Easter egg," Jones told The Wrap. "I think it's something we just love and find very emotive. And it's something that's really worked for us as a motif. And so if we can bring it back in and it adds to the overall sense of the universe or connection between some of the things that we're talking about, then that's great. But it is a lovely piece of music."

It might be lovely, but the song definitely adds an extracreepy vibe to season four's "Crocodile," as it plays over and over again while the episode's unhinged protagonist spirals out of control. Just another day in the life of Black Mirror, right? If your memory needs a refresher, listen to the original version of "Anyone Who Knows What Love Is (Will Understand)" below.

13 Reasons Why: Katherine Langford Says We'll See a "Very Different Hannah" in Season 2

Details surrounding the second season of Netflix's 13 Reasons Why have been scarce. Fortunately, now that filming has officially begun, Hannah Baker - er, Katherine Langford - is talking about what we can expect to see from her character in the upcoming season.

"There is life after Hannah, and this season, we get to see the effects it had on the people around her a lot more," Langford recently told EW. "You see a very different Hannah in season two. I would prepare fans not to expect the Hannah from season one for a multitude of reasons. It's funny because I just wrapped and I think a lot of this season for me is about letting Hannah go."

But what does this all mean? Is season two the end of Hannah's story? From the looks of it, Hannah's involvement in season three may be questionable - that is, if there even is one. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Meghan Markle's Road to Becoming Royalty, in 18 Pictures

Meghan Markle is about to join the royal family, but this certainly isn't her first encounter with the spotlight. Before getting engaged to Prince Harry, the actress was best known for her roles on shows like General Hospital and, most recently, USA Network's Suits. As she gets ready to say goodbye to Hollywood and hello to the UK, look back at how much her life has changed since falling head over heels for the famous royal.

Meghan Markle Has Lived More Places Than You Probably Realized

Meghan Markle is a girl without a country . . . just kidding, she has two countries calling her theirs now and has lived in three countries throughout her lifetime. The Suits actress might be marrying one of the princes of England come May 2018, but before she crosses the pond for good, we have to point out that she's an American soon-to-be duchess, and to make it even more crazy, she's called Canada home for numerous years as well. Clearly Meghan is worldly and has found her perfect man in Prince Harry, but what's her story? Well, we know where she came from, and it's pretty cool to see where she's gone.

The actress was born in Los Angeles and grew up in the Valley area of the city. She attended Immaculate Heart High School, which was an all-girls Catholic high school in Los Angeles. At the time Meghan went by her real first name, Rachel, but she later changed her name to Meghan, which is her middle name. She then attended Northwestern University near Chicago for college and graduated in 2003, which is when she headed back to Los Angeles to continue acting.

"I was born and raised in Los Angeles, a California girl who lives by the ethos that most things can be cured with either yoga, the beach, or a few avocados," Meghan once wrote on her former blog The Tig, Vanity Fair reported.

After landing the role of Rachel Zane on USA Network's Suits back in 2011, Meghan was filming in Canada pretty much nonstop, so she decided to buy a house in Toronto, which she has called home for seven years now. "Seven Canadian winters!" she told Vanity Fair about her Toronto home. "A long time for someone who grew up in Southern California."

Her home was recently put up for sale and is located in Toronto's Seaton Village neighborhood. According to the listing agent via Glamour, the two-story home has three bedrooms, two baths, a finished basement, and a two-car garage.

Of course, when she met Prince Harry, her life in North America changed significantly, and England - more specifically, London - became her new home (in between her time in Canada and visiting family in California). The two live together in a small cottage at Kensington Palace (it's reportedly 1,300 square feet). Although it's tiny compared to, say, the actual Kensington Palace where Prince William and Kate Middleton reside, it holds a special place in the couple's heart because it's where Harry proposed.

After the two tie the knot, they will remain at Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace as their starter home. With neighbors like the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who would want to move, anyway?

Justin Bieber Pops Up in Mexico After Selena Gomez's Beach Outing With Friends

Did Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez ring in the new year together? It certainly seems like it. Shortly after Selena hit the beach in Mexico with friends, her on-and-off-again boyfriend was spotted soaking up the sun in Cabo San Lucas on Dec. 31. Wearing bright pink swim shorts and a white fedora, the "Sorry" singer showed off his tattoos as he relaxed shirtless outside. While Justin and Selena have yet to be photographed together, E! News reports that they rented an oceanside villa with their friends for the holidays.

This isn't the first time the couple has vacationed in Mexico together. In December 2011, the pair put their romance on full display as they attended a friend's beachside wedding and later cuddled up by the pool. Perhaps they're kicking off 2018 by taking a trip down memory lane.

Who Is Trevor Jackson? 5 Things You Need to Know About the Grown-ish Star

Trevor Jackson may only be 21 years old, but he's actually been working for years. The talented singer and actor got his start at 8 years old playing young Simba in the Broadway adaption of The Lion King. Since then, Trevor has racked up an impressive acting reel landing roles on ABC's American Crime series and Netflix's Burning Sands. Next year you'll catch Trevor flexing his comedic acting chops on the Black-ish spinoff, Grown-ish alongside Yara Shahidi. The Freeform series is already one of the most buzzed about shows of 2018. In preparation for Trevor's rise to superstardom, familiarize yourself with these five facts about him ahead.

  1. He was born on August 30, 1996. Trevor is a native of Indianapolis, IN and has an older brother named Ian.
  2. He was rumored to have dated Zendaya in 2014. According to Trevor, they were always just "close friends" and nothing more. "She's one of those people that I was able to relate to just coming up [with] both of us not really having that many friends because we were always working. We were able to call each other and be like 'Yo, this is what happened today' and just really relate and understand each other."
  3. He's a huge fan of Denzel Washington. Trevor says one of his goals is to star in a movie with the Oscar winner. "That's my dream. I just want to meet him and shake his hand," he gushed in a recent interview.
  4. He plays the electric guitar. Trevor often shares videos of himself playing the guitar shirtless on Instagram, which he says brings him "peace" during stressful times in his life.
  5. Although he has six-pack abs, he's definitely not a healthy eater. Trevor joked about eating "honey buns and grilled cheeses" as opposed to healthier options like protein bars and peanut butter while on the set of Grown-ish, but you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at him.

I Wore the Same Mascara For Over a Decade, but This One Made Me Switch

My answer to the question "What mascara do you use?" was the same for more than 10 years, and it rolled off my tongue like clockwork. I swore by an under-$15 drugstore mascara whose thin brush elongated and thickened my eyelashes like no other high-end product ever could. "I have it in my purse if you want to see it," I've said countless times. My steadfast resistance to change made me question even the most trusted sources' recommendations because I knew I had found the only mascara I'd ever need. But when a POPSUGAR Beauty editor messaged me at work one day to tell me about a new mascara that I had to try, I was intrigued. She sent me a link to Tarte Maneater Voluptuous Mascara ($23), which she had just gotten an early preview of and thought I might like. Many exclamation points followed her enthusiastic advice. "Doesn't clump; coat after coat after coat," she promised.

I just so happened to be near the end of my drugstore tube, and I was intrigued. Not normally one to pass up yet another purchase of my standby mascara, I had a feeling this one could be worth it. Trusting our resident beauty expert and feeling excited to try a hyped-up product, I caved and ordered one Tarte Maneater mascara, hoping I wouldn't regret the slightly steeper price than I was used to. Spoiler alert: I most certainly would not. In fact, after my first time using Maneater, I knew I was hooked. This was the one. Tarte promises 23 times more lash volume after two coats of this mascara, and . . . whoa. I'm convinced that's not an exaggeration.

In my experience, longer lashes benefit from a mascara with superthin bristles, and Maneater has dozens of tiny, delicate bristles that are pros at separating and elongating every lash. The volumizing black liquid thickens my lashes and manages to curl them upward at the same time. The formula also contains jojoba extract, which keeps lashes strong and hydrated throughout the day, preventing any flaking.

The product speaks for itself, so read on to see Tarte Maneater in action and zoom in on the results. If you're like me, you'll be rethinking your favorite mascara pretty soon.

12 Easter Eggs You May Have Missed in Star Wars: The Last Jedi

For dedicated fans of the previous films, Star Wars: The Last Jedi's record-breaking runtime may just be a dream come true. But a long movie also means there's a lot to take in, like new characters, new locations, and a lot to miss. Given how vast the library of Star Wars media is and the universe's rich world-building, there's no question that there are at least a few Easter eggs strewn about the film. Did you catch these little details?

  • Hyperspace Tracking. The First Order gains an advantage over the Resistance by learning how to track their ship through hyperspace. This technology was first mentioned in Rogue One, when Jyn Erso discovers plans in the Galactic Empire's files.
  • The Raddus. The Resistance Star Cruiser is named after Rogue One's Admiral Raddus, who assisted the Rebel Alliance in the Battle of Scarif.
  • Luke's X-Wing. On Ahch-To, Luke Skywalker's X-Wing is visible underwater. He's repurposed one of its wings into a door to his stone hut, though Chewbacca ends up busting it open for Rey.
  • Green Milk. Part of Luke's daily island routine is obtaining green milk from a creature called a Thala-Siren. The colorful drink is similar to the infamous blue milk that's first featured in A New Hope.
  • Luke's Compass. Fans of the video game Star Wars Battlefront II might recognize a certain compass on Luke's shelf on Ahch-To. In the game, he takes it from one of Emperor Palpatine's observatories, and it possibly leads him to the remote island's Jedi Temple.
  • Leia's Message. R2-D2 boots up Princess Leia's famous holographic message from A New Hope in an effort to get Luke to help the Resistance. While not a totally hidden Easter egg, it's still a very fun and heartwarming visit back to the original trilogy.
  • The Jedi Texts Survive. Because Luke hesitates to burn down the tree containing the sacred books about the Jedi, a Force ghost Yoda does it for him, saying that Rey already possesses all of that knowledge. As it turns out, she really does - the texts, completely intact, make a brief appearance on the Millennium Falcon when she's on Crait.
  • Rebel Scum. General Hux refers to Poe Dameron as "rebel scum" after the pilot expertly pushes his buttons, and Finn uses it to refer to himself when Captain Phasma tells him he's always been scum. The phrase is first heard in Return of the Jedi, when Imperial Officer Renz uses it to insult Han Solo.
  • Gold Dice. The gold dice first seen hanging in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon in A New Hope play an emotional role in The Last Jedi. Luke takes notice of them when he sneaks onto the ship, then gives them to Leia before his epic battle with Kylo Ren.
  • Master to Student. During their final showdown on Crait, Luke says that he failed Kylo. This is similar to another case of a Jedi Master's padawan going dark; Obi-Wan Kenobi says, "I have failed you," to Anakin Skywalker when they battle on Mustafar in Revenge of the Sith.
  • Binary Sunset. After using astral projection to assist in the Battle of Crait, Luke disappears as he stares off into the distance on Ahch-To. The last thing he sees is a twin sunset - a callback to the iconic A New Hope scene featuring him gazing at Tatooine's two suns setting.
  • Cameos Galore. Just like The Force Awakens before it, The Last Jedi is full of cameos, including Justin Theroux as the Master Codebreaker, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Slowen-Lo, Rogue One director Gareth Edwards as a Resistance soldier, and even Carrie Fisher's dog, Gary, as a Canto Bight alien.

The 10 Most Adorable Meet-Cutes in YA Novels

I've long been a fan of the romantic movie meet-cute - I mean, who doesn't want to meet their love in transit, while out roaming the city, or on some sort of adorable adventure? But as a writer myself, I have a special love for the literary meet-cute, and specifically the kind in my favorite young adult books. Whether set in the bustling halls of a modern high school or the derelict dystopian world of District 12, there's just something so delightful about seeing the exact moment two characters connect for the first time. Here are 10 of the most adorable meet-cutes in the YA world.

Leah Konen is a huge fan of the perfect meet-cute and a writer of contemporary books for teens. Her newest novel, Love and Other Train Wrecks, available on Jan. 2, is a 24-hour romance about two teens who meet on a train ride to Upstate New York in the middle of a snowstorm.

Why The Name of the Wind Will Be the Next Game of Thrones

I've never tried heroin.

But the reason it's addicting is because users are always chasing after that first, and best, high. The problem is they're working with the same substance over and over again. For book-lovers, we are fortunate enough to have a different substance each time. In each read, there's always the chance that we'll get lost in the pages, have an experience we've never had before, and won't be able to put the book down. And for lifelong readers, this is always what we're hoping for when we buy our next book.

For me, The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss was one of those experiences.

While I read widely now, I grew up on a steady diet of fantasy novels by authors like Tolkien and Lewis to Terry Brooks and Robert Jordan. And like any fan, I have enjoyed George R.R. Martin's series A Song of Ice and Fire. Now, with Martin's novels launching fantasy epics into mainstream popularity with the HBO series Game of Thrones, Martin has paved ground for more to rise up just like it. But nothing has quite been able to follow.

Enter Patrick Rothfuss, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and the next big thing in fantasy. With a forthcoming movie, TV series, and video game produced by Lionsgate, here are three reasons I think The Name of the Wind is primed to take the throne after Game of Thrones.

A Unique and Excellent Fantasy Epic

First and foremost is the quality of the story and the characters. If you're a fiction reader, you've probably heard of The Name of the Wind; if you're a fantasy enthusiast, then you definitely have. It's a first-person account of one young man's journey of revenge. OK, there's a lot more to it than that. It's an excellently written story with characters that you just want to hang out with in a fantastical world that is - and isn't at all - similar to Westeros. In the fantasy genre, this series stands out for its style, characters, magic system, and world-building. If you haven't read it yet, get on it!

An Avid Fan Base

Like Martin's books, Rothfuss has built for himself legions of fans. According to a 2015 article in Forbes, his novels have sold more than 10 million copies. His events are frequently packed, with hour-long book-signing lines. There's been countless cosplaying, fan art, and fan fiction, and this year he released a 10th-anniversary edition of The Name of the Wind. All this to say: fantasy fans are some of the most enthusiastic fans in the world, and there's no doubt they're primed for a Name of the Wind takeover.

Lin-Manuel Miranda

Excellent novels; a drooling fan base; a movie, TV, and video game deal - this story is only missing one thing. And you're all thinking it: Lin-Manuel Miranda. Lately, everything the writer/actor/singer touches seems to turn to gold, from Disney's Moana to his Pulitzer Prize-winning Hamilton. Fans worried about an adaptation of The Name of the Wind must have breathed a collective sigh of relief when Lin-Manuel Miranda stepped in as "chairman of the Don't F*ck It Up Committee." According to Variety, he'll "serve as producer of the franchise and is expected to compose the original music and write the songs."

Don't get me wrong here: I don't want to claim that The Name of the Wind adaptations will attempt to copy or be anything like Game of Thrones. The story and characters and style are vastly different. Each has its own unique qualities. The Name of the Wind will be a completely new experience. But with the growing excitement for the fantasy genre stirred up by Martin and HBO, it seems like the perfect time for the next big fantasy obsession to take the media by storm. And I say "storm" because with wonderfully imaginative stories, with fans that will show up and dress up, and with a creative (Pulitzer Prize-winning) team, The Name of the Wind has all the ingredients for a perfect fantasy hurricane. So hold your breath, keep an eye on the news, and, in the meantime, go read the series!

7 Truths About Life in Your 20s, According to Millennial Authors

Ah, your 20s are an exciting time. They're a constant roller coaster of unexpected responsibilities and constant uncertainties. When you don't feel like you have all the answers, you feel like you know absolutely nothing at all. No matter how fun Fergie made it sound, it's not nearly as glamorous as we all once imagined. Whether it's healing hangovers, mending heartbreak, paying overdue bills, or being too afraid to call your parents, getting it together is certainly a journey, not a destination. But don't worry - as we learned from the following authors, you're not alone.

Kate Middleton Could Learn a Thing or 2 From This Stylish European Royal

Gone are the days when queens and princesses had to be covered up in styles that made them feel constricted - Duchess Kate Middleton and Queen Letizia of Spain are just two clear examples that a royal can wear whatever she wants (even Zara). But when it comes to eclectic and adventurous looks, the queen is Máxima of the Netherlands.

The Argentinian-born ruler dresses a bit more conservatively, but still manages to play with texture, belled sleeves, scarves, and, of course, her favorite accessory: hats! Herea are just a few of the interesting looks she's worn in 2017.

If You Do These 5 Things Daily, You Might Never Bloat Again

No matter why you're bloating, it can become a chronic issue that causes more than discomfort. Is bloating a constant battle in your life? Do you suffer from digestive issues you can't seem to kick? We spoke with Dr. Josh Axe, DNM, DC, CNC, to get his best daily tips for preventing bloat. Consider this your daily antibloat routine!

Add: Herbal Tea

Dr. Axe recommends adding in a tea each day and drinking it one to three times. The blend? "An herbal tea of chamomile, fennel, peppermint, and ginger." These ingredients are known to both debloat and ease digestion, but they can also create a sense of calm, which can help mitigate stress bloating.

Add: Probiotics

"Take probiotic supplements and consume probiotic-rich foods," said Dr. Axe. Balancing the bacteria in your gut through either supplements or fermented foods (including yogurt!) can help create a healthy microbiome and eliminate the chance of bloating.

Add: Bone Broth

Dr. Axe told POPSUGAR you should aim to "drink bone broth daily" to help nourish your gut and digestive lining. Bone broth can be anti-inflammatory and thus prevent any upset and distention in your stomach.

Change: How You Eat Veggies

On a raw-food diet? Dr. Axe thinks you should switch it up if bloating is a problem. "Consume cooked vegetables," he told POPSUGAR. Raw vegetables can be difficult for the body to digest, but a few minutes of steaming or sauteing can do the trick.

Remove: Inflammatory Foods

This one will be a little tougher, but Dr. Axe recommends eliminating foods that may trigger bloating or an inflammatory response. "Remove gluten, sugar, raw vegetables, and refined dairy from your diet" if bloating is a chronic issue for you.

Here's How CBD Can Play a Role in Your Fitness Routine

Through my own recent experience, I've learned about the incredible antianxiety and anti-inflammatory powers of CBD, the nonpsychoactive compound found in hemp and cannabis plants - it has made a powerful improvement to my life and mental health. But recently, I wondered what this natural supplement could do for my fitness routine. As it turns out, it may make an excellent pre- and post-workout essential.

If you need to create a sense of calm and eliminate stress so you can focus on a workout, CBD supplements may help you before you head to the gym or studio. Though yoga on its own can be calming for me, sometimes it's a little harder to leave the stress and anxiety off the mat (the same goes for classes like barre, Pilates, and megaformer) - but that's where CBD can come in. It's been studied (and proven) to have antianxiety properties. That said, I don't just take it before more low-key classes - it works for HIIT, too! I've had positive (or even neutral) experiences when taking CBD before a more intense class like Barry's Bootcamp and Orangetheory.

And while CBD is typically pretty calming, Dr. Sunil Kumar Aggarwal, MD, PhD, FAAPMR and practitioner at SageMD, said "CBD can have a stimulating effect." It will depend on your body and your body's reaction to CBD, but you may find CBD helpful to get both focused and energized before your favorite exercise class or gym session.

I also spoke with Dr. Jordan Tishler, MD, Harvard physician and president of both InhaleMD and the Association of Cannabis Specialists, about using the anti-inflammatory effects to your advantage when it comes to CBD and exercise. His take? It could be a helpful part of your recovery routine, but you might even want to opt in for something stronger. "I think that the anti-inflammatory aspects of CBD would likely help post-workout recovery, but only with high dose and very consistent use," said Dr. Tishler. "For acute pain during or after workouts, you'd need to focus on [using] THC."

Dr. Aggarwal discussed using "the full bounty of nature" to achieve optimal health and said combining Ayurvedic herbs with CBD and/or THC could be especially helpful. From trying this firsthand with turmeric and CBD capsules from Sagely Naturals, I personally love how the two anti-inflammatory herbs combat muscle soreness after an especially tough workout with weights. I recently tried taking three capsules before a challenging Orangetheory Fitness class and two afterward, and it helped significantly with both my focus and my recovery.

If pain or inflammation is keeping you from working out, cannabis may be a lifesaver, like it was for Jason Genet, a disabled vet who lost 150 pounds thanks to the help of CBD (and a new diet). "CBD is the only thing I can take," he told POPSUGAR. "It allowed me to get moving."

The evidence as of now is somewhat anecdotal, as not much scientific research has been done. However, both doctors recalled multiple studies proving CBD's efficacy in multiple areas. Dr. Tishler also reminded us that placebo is real, but placebo also works. "Placebo gives you a real benefit," he said. "It's just not biological."

How much you'll need to take is impossible for us to recommend or even speculate on, as it varies based on each person, their biology, their needs, and their goals, so we'd highly recommend talking to a doctor or medical professional before beginning your supplement routine.

This 12-Month Self-Care Challenge Will Be the Only Resolution You Actually Keep

Whether you want to get strong and hit the gym, lose weight, eat right, or get some more downtime in 2018, it all comes down to giving yourself a little extra self-care. And this year, instead of setting one giant goal that you try (and possibly fail) to keep all year long, we're giving you smaller challenges each month so you can switch it up, stay on course, and focus on all aspects of self-care for your emotional, mental, and physical health.

January: Feed Your Soul

With new beginnings in the new year, it's a great time to look at your diet and maybe even food journal to see how you feel after each meal! Take time to meal prep and plan, and cook nourishing meals for yourself - after all, eating right is excellent self-care.

February: Set (Digital) Limits

Is technology stressing your out? Let's set boundaries. You don't always have to respond to texts immediately or say yes to everything. You don't always have to be "on" - whether it's Instagram or email. Give yourself a no-phone zone in your house or a "bedtime" for your phone and computer. Create these habits early in the year so you can carry them with you through the following months.

March: Meditation Challenge

We know asking you to meditate every single day in March is a little aggressive (in the most zen way, of course), so we'll give you a goal of meditating at least 10 times, for at least two minutes each time. Put a few reminders in your calendar this month, pick a cozy spot in your house, and find an app like Calm or Headspace to learn how to meditate if you need some guidance.

April: Make Time For Tea Time

Tea can do marvelous things for your mind, body, and soul. This month, we want you to try all different kinds of tea and unwind with a new one either nightly or weekly until you find what you like. It'll be a lovely nightcap to get some restful sleep.

May: Find Your (B)LISS

If you've been all over the HIIT train, this one is going to feel great. This month, aim to find a low-impact workout like walking, yoga, Pilates, swimming, or cycling, and add it to your routine twice a week. Tip: try doing any of this outside and in a nature-packed area like a park, forest, beach, or meadow if it's accessible. Earthing, grounding, and forest bathing can be excellent forms of self-care while you get your LISS on!

June: Foam Roll and Release

We're obsessed with foam rolling and myofascial release right now, and you should be, too! This Summer, we urge you to get to know both the foam roller and the massage therapy ball - learn which muscle groups you need to roll most, find tension points in your body, and give yourself a little TLC and self-massaging from head to toe. Not only will you help yourself to have better workouts, but it'll also help your body feel great every day.

July: Create a Morning Routine

Want to wake up on the right side of the bed? Start your day with some self-care? Great, same. It all starts with a morning routine. Give yourself a few extra minutes every morning. Can you challenge yourself to getting up 30 minutes earlier each day? You'd have time for meditation, breakfast, or maybe even a quick morning workout.

August: Try Aromatherapy and Essential Oils

We hope you try this all year long, but in August we want you to try creating your very own aromatherapy routine at home or in your office. Find the oils that are best for your health needs. Are you craving some relaxing lavender or seeking energizing citrus? Perhaps you want to breath a little deeper with eucalyptus or kick those tension headaches with peppermint. Get yourself a diffuser and some oils, and find what works for you. Diffuse daily, and make note of how you feel.

September: Sleep Challenge

The time is nigh to create a bedtime routine that'll help you get more restful sleep, but here's your goal: at least eight full hours each night for the entire month. Set an early bedtime to be sure you'll get to sleep soundly. Sleep will not only help with your energy levels, but it'll also help with your immune system and ability to lose weight, if that's a goal of yours. And it'll help cut down on stress levels. Win! PSA: skip the melatonin (but try CBD instead).

October: Focus on Journaling

Take time at least a few minutes each night or each morning to journal. Start with what you're grateful for - that always helps set things off on a nice note - and continue to write anything you want about goals, hopes, dreams, plans, struggles, and ideas. Even food and fitness! Self-reflection and a little me time with some peace and quiet will help add balance to your day to day.

November: Do Some Body Care

Get a massage, try acupuncture, start taking CBD, go for a reiki treatment, hire a nutritionist or dietitian for an evaluation session, treat yourself to personal training, or visit a spa. You only have to do one of these just once, but if you're feeling up for the challenge, we think you should check all of these boxes in November. Amp up your indulgent self-care before the holiday madness kicks in!

December: Give Back

You know what makes you feel good? Helping others. Plus, you make them feel good, too. The holidays are an ideal time to take a day for volunteering, whether it's at an animal shelter, a homeless shelter, a meal kitchen, a toy drive, or wherever else sparks your soul. Because even though it's "work," it'll help you feel like you made a difference - all the while helping those in need get a little extra love during the holidays. It's the perfect way to wrap up the year and pay forward all that good energy you've been building up.

These 50 Essential Fitness Tips Will Make You Stronger and More Badass

Make the most of your exercise time by reading up on these 50 fitness tips so you can crush your workouts and crush your goals!

  1. Never stretch before a cardio workout; save it for after when your muscles are warm and pliable.
  2. HIIT (high-intensity interval training) burns tons of calories in a short amount of time. Try Tabata, which combines 20 seconds of intense bursts of activity with 10 seconds of rest in four-minute rounds.
  3. If you're trying to bike, run, row, or jump rope at a certain speed, use music to set your pace.
  4. When strength training, save time and burn more calories by doing fewer reps with heavier weights.
  5. When doing any type of workout, it should never hurt. Make sure you have correct form, you're not pushing yourself too hard, and that you don't have an injury.
  6. If you're doing an early morning workout, some experts say it's OK to run on an empty stomach. But if you're doing a longer workout, fuel up with simple carbs and a little protein, such as half a banana and a handful of almonds.
  7. Raise the incline on the treadmill to increase your calorie burn. A five percent incline will burn almost 100 more calories, so pump it up!
  8. Push yourself to go five extra minutes when working out - you'll burn close to 20 to 60 extra calories.
  9. Do a light cardio warmup before strength training to help prevent injury and post-workout soreness.
  10. Always strength train before a cardio session.
  11. If you start doing more strength training, make sure you eat enough food to give your muscles the fuel they need to grow.
  12. Borrowing a mat for your first yoga or Pilates class is fine, but after that, it's time to buy your own mat to reduce your exposure to germs and bacteria.
  13. Intervals are proven to reduce belly fat and rev up metabolism; instead of exercising at the same pace for the entire workout, alternate between periods of pushing your body to the max and periods of recovery.
  14. Studies show that a little bit of caffeine can help improve your stamina, strength, and speed, so sip on a small cup of coffee before working out.
  15. Choose gear based on your needs, not on style. If you're running on the road, don't choose a pair of trail runners just because you like how they look.
  16. Write motivational quotes on sticky notes and put them anywhere you need them - on your bathroom mirror, on the fridge, in your car, or on your computer monitor.
  17. Since class descriptions are often vague, watch a fitness class before you take it to avoid having to walk out of a class you don't like or that's too advanced for your fitness level.
  18. Proper form is more important than number of reps; use a mirror to check your form or take videos of yourself.
  19. It's essential to hydrate before a workout. Drink about 15 to 20 ounces of water before you get started.
  20. Shop for workout sneakers later in the day (when your feet are at their largest) to ensure a proper fit.
  21. If you want to see results faster, do at least three strength-training sessions per week.
  22. Do 60-minute heart-pumping cardio workouts five times a week if your goal is to lose weight.
  23. Take rest days! They allow your muscles time to heal and get stronger.
  24. To avoid getting sick, clean off machines and equipment before you use them. Even though the person before you is supposed to do it, they may have forgotten.
  25. Try out different instructors to find one who challenges and motivates you the most.
  26. Show up for a class at least five minutes early to get a good spot, shake off any stress from the day, and chat with the instructor if you need to let them know you have an injury.
  27. Never do the same exact workout every time. Switch up the exercises, the number of reps, the amount of weight, the order of the exercises, the time, the equipment, and the intensity.
  28. Find a workout buddy (or a whole group!) since you're more likely to push yourself harder and stay more motivated than when you work out alone.
  29. For workouts later in the day, make sure to eat a meal or snack one to two hours before a workout that focuses on carbs and a little protein.
  30. You do not need to break in running shoes - they should feel comfortable the moment you run in them. Don't feel shy about running around in the store to test them out.
  31. You can't spot-reduce fat from a certain area, like your belly - you have to work all areas in order to see a difference in how your body looks.
  32. Intervals aren't just for running! Aside from reducing belly fat, they also build endurance and increase your speed. Do sprinting bursts during all types of cardio, whether you're cycling, jumping rope, dancing, or swimming - it also works for all types of cardio outlets.
  33. Get everything ready the night before a workout, including your outfit, headphones, gym bag, and yoga mat - whatever you need.
  34. Listen to your body during group fitness classes. Move at your own pace - it's OK to go out of sync with the rest of the group or do modifications.
  35. Write the date you bought your sneakers on the inside of the tongue. After 300 to 500 miles, replace them with a new pair - so pay attention to your weekly and monthly mileage.
  36. Exercise in the morning; you'll burn more calories throughout the day.
  37. If you're short on time, do these stretches during your hot post-workout shower.
  38. In all types of workouts, make a mental note to relax parts of the body you're not working, like your face, shoulders, and toes.
  39. Never wear two sports bras! If you're in need of greater support, find a company, like Moving Comfort, that caters to larger-chested women.
  40. Post your fitness life to social media, whether you'll see plenty of sweaty workout selfies, gym rants, or a pic of some new gear. Comments from friends and family are sure to encourage you to stay on the fit path.
  41. Test out workout gear in the dressing room before you buy it. Run in place to see how the fabric moves with you, do a Down Dog to make sure your boobs don't fall out of your top, and of course, do a wide straddle in front of the mirror to avoid purchasing see-through leggings.
  42. On Sunday night, plan out the week's workouts. Make fitness dates, find the Zumba class that fits your schedule, and print out a new strength-training workout. Once they're planned out, write them down to make them official appointments you cannot skip.
  43. Make a morning motivation jar to inspire a little fitness when you hop out of bed.
  44. Pay for gym memberships or personal-training sessions ahead of time so you're more likely to follow through. And remember, if you buy a year membership, you'll save tons of money!
  45. Have workout-only music, books on tape, and Netflix shows you watch. If you're binge-watching This Is Us, you'll be psyched to get back on the treadmill to catch the next episode.
  46. Change your exercise routine every 14 days to beat boredom and keep your muscles guessing.
  47. Keep a fitness journal or calendar, and write down every workout you do, so you can look back and see how far you've come. Or if you've been skipping workouts, seeing blank pages will help motivate you to get back on the fitness train.
  48. Set a new fitness goal every month to keep you inspired and on track, such as "do 10 push-ups every day," or "do yoga twice a week."
  49. Self-massage your stiff, overtrained muscles by using a foam roller. These exercises are designed for runners.
  50. Take progress pics every month or two since the scale isn't always the best judge of how far you've come.

Dear Firstborn, I Regret Listening to All the Other Moms

Dear Firstborn,

You are the one who made me a mom, and that didn't come without a very steep learning curve. There were many things that came naturally to me - loving you, soothing you back to sleep, and instinctively figuring out what each of your cries meant - but there were so many things I didn't know. So, I did what many new moms do. I tapped into the biggest resource at my disposal: other moms.

Everyone seems to have an opinion on every facet of motherhood, and it's overwhelming to say the least. While much of the information was amazing and helpful, a lot if it was not. My biggest struggles with you revolved around sleeping and eating, and because I had no frame of reference, I took the advice I was given.

I wish I hadn't.

Everyone seems to have an opinion on every facet of motherhood, and it's overwhelming to say the least. While much of the information was amazing and helpful, a lot if it was not.

When it came to food, I went by the book. If it said "6 months and up," I didn't dare give it to you at 5 months and 29 days. Everyone around me was so rigid in what they gave their kids and when, and because they seemed to have good reasoning, I followed suit. Although you pretty much ate everything by the time you were a toddler, I can't help but wonder if the "by-the-book" mentality had anything to do with your picky eating now. Honestly, though, this is small potatoes (pun intended) compared to my regrets regarding sleep training.

I made every mistake in the book with your sleeping. I was so tired and desperate to rest that I would lay you right next to me the moment you would fuss. We BOTH slept like babies. What I didn't consider was how hard of a habit cosleeping would be to break. Several people told me the only way to do it was to let you cry it out. They said it would take about three days, so I listened.

I wish I hadn't.

They were right about the three days, but I still get a choked up thinking about sitting outside your bedroom and crying while you cried. I wanted to run in there so many times, but I didn't. And to this day, you - now 9 years old - sleep much more peacefully with me laying next to you. I feel like it's because of the way I tried to break you of the habit. I regret letting you cry it out and making you feel that I wasn't there to scoop you up and cuddle you. I know it works for some, but it wasn't and isn't for me . . . or you.

These small (but crucial) examples taught me more about motherhood than almost anything else. They helped me realize that for the rest of my life, no matter what I choose to do with you and your sister, everyone is going to have an opinion. I learned to take it all in stride and do what feels right for MY kids. These experiences also greatly shaped how I give advice to other mommies. First and foremost, I don't dole out unsolicited advice. And if someone asks for my opinion, I'm very careful to say that it's what worked for me vs. treating it like gospel.

I'm sorry if my tactics messed with your sleeping and eating. I just didn't know enough and thought it was too reckless to trust my gut. Let this be a lesson to both of us that mistakes happen. All we can do is learn from them and do better the next time. And I promise you that for the rest of your life, I will always try to do better.

Love,
Mom
