Joe Biden Telling Meghan McCain to Have Hope While Her Dad Battles Brain Cancer Will Leave You in Tears
Joe Biden stopped by The View as a guest cohost, and little did we know that his segment would leave us in actual tears. It all started when Meghan McCain asked him about his book Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship and Purpose, in which he wrote extensively about his late son Beau's battle with the same cancer John McCain was just diagnosed with six months ago. McCain started crying almost immediately, and just like the amazing human being that he is, Biden got up and walked over to sit next to her and held her hand the entire time.
"This is the hard part, bear with me, OK," she said as she started crying. "I couldn't get through your book, I tried. Your son Beau had the same cancer that my father was diagnosed with six months ago. I think about Beau almost every day and I was told that this doesn't get easier."
Watch the whole clip above, and get ready to have tissues on hand - because the way McCain breaks down while talking about her dad combined with the compassion Biden shows for her will absolutely break your heart.
Seeing These Aussies Celebrate the Same-Sex Marriage Win Will Make Your Heart Sing
On Dec. 7, same-sex marriage was officially legalized in Australia. Following a momentous "yes" vote in a countrywide postal survey, the House of Representatives passed a bill that would change the legal definition of marriage in the country.
Following the bill's passing, Parliament broke out into song and many Aussies reveled in celebrations of their own. It was a historic moment not just for same-sex couples, but the country as a whole. Take a look at some of the best celebratory pictures ahead!
Are Donald Trump's Teeth Real? An Investigation
On Dec. 6, President Donald Trump took to his favorite medium outside of Twitter - television - to announce that Jerusalem would be recognized as Israel's capital. The decision will result in the relocation of the US embassy to the city, a controversial move that could violate international law.
Yet one of the biggest takeaways from Trump's speech wasn't actually related to what was said but how he said it: he slurred his way through his final thoughts. Many tweeted their thoughts on Trump's vocal issue, inspiring #DentureDonald and the new name of our country, "Unanasighs."
"God bless the Unanasighs." http://pic.twitter.com/KHwppBsKVq
- bobby finger (@bobbyfinger) December 6, 2017
What happened? Given Trump's age and diet, many factors appear to be at play. At 71, Trump is at risk for many vocal-affecting ailments from Parkinson's disease to dysarthria, a speech disorder resulting from weakened facial muscles as a result of brain damage caused by stroke, tumors, or chronic diseases like ALS or muscular dystrophy. Another factor is diet; an inflamed tongue - or glossitis - can sometimes cause slurring and can be attributed to "nutritional deficiencies" from a lack of iron, folic acid, and vitamin B12, according to the American Academy of Family Physicians. Given Trump's penchant for fast food, "nutritional deficiencies" that can inflame the tongue wouldn't be surprising. Another factor could be alcohol but, alas, Trump is a noted nondrinker.
Trump trying to keep his awful teeth in his mouth is whatever the opposite of ASMR is. http://pic.twitter.com/UcYp9H3g5b
- chris person (@Papapishu) December 6, 2017
The most probable reason is that his teeth just aren't real. As CNN found from speaking with speech language pathologist Michael de Riesthal, failing dentures were likely the culprit: de Riesthal noted the president's "working hard to speak" as the result of "having a denture fall or some other alternative explanation" related to a dental device or procedure acting out at an inopportune time.
Because this is a very pressing matter, White House spokesperson Raj Shah has spoken out on the matter in a conversation with the Los Angeles Times: Shah attributed the problem to a dry-mouth episode before noting that "the President is perfectly healthy." Take note, Trump teeth truthers.
This CNN Anchor Was Not Having It When Her Guest Went on a Rant About His Love of "Boobs"
Wow I think Fox Sports Clay Travis is some Stern wanna be. What a total jackass! @BrookeBCNN #cnn #brookebaldwin #claytravis #foxsports http://pic.twitter.com/1sKNnNJC3f
- Alive In Philly (@AliveInPhilly) September 15, 2017
A CNN segment went fully off the rails on Sept. 15 when Fox Sports radio host Clay Travis made a comment so randomly offensive that it stopped host Brooke Baldwin dead in her tracks.
Travis was on air with Baldwin and journalist Keith Reed to discuss ESPN's response to Jemele Hill's comments calling Donald Trump a white supremacist, which she has since apologized for sharing publicly. Both Trump and White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders have called for Hill to be fired in the wake of her comments, raising an important debate about the First Amendment, ethics, censorship, and race. Ostensibly, those were the topics Baldwin intended to discuss during her show, but Travis had other designs.
Travis first attempted to argue that while he didn't really think Hill should be fired, ESPN had a duty to let Hill go because of a precedent they set when they axed former host Curt Schilling following a transphobic Facebook post he shared. Travis's argument was already on shaky logical ground, and then he chose to completely torpedo any shred of credibility he may have had, making a statement more befitting of one of the fourth graders on South Park than a professional sportscaster.
"I believe in only two things completely: the First Amendment and boobs," Travis said.
Baldwin, who was understandably flabbergasted, had to ask him to repeat himself. "Hold on, hold on. I just want to make sure I heard you correctly and as a woman anchoring the show," Baldwin jumped in. "What did you just say? You believe in the First Amendment and b-double o-b-s?"
"Boobs. Two things that have only never let me down in this entire country's history. The First Amendment and boobs."
Baldwin and Reed - who also happens to be a friend of Hill's - were both incensed, and rightfully so:
Don't watch Clay Travis say sexist crap. Watch Brooke Baldwin shut it down. http://pic.twitter.com/mNoodf7NqV
- Eric Morrow (@ericmorrow11) September 15, 2017
While it might be easy to write off Travis's comments as immature and buffoonish - which they certainly were - they also displayed a total disrespect for Hill, the gravity of her situation, the seriousness it deserves, and for the female host of the show and human women everywhere. Both Baldwin and Reed took to social media after the segment was cut short to further share their distaste for what went down.
Now, we'll just have to wait and see if Fox Sports follows Travis's recommendation that ESPN fire its controversial staffers by handing him a pink slip all his own.
Does Donald Trump Have a Dog? No - and That’s Not Even the Craziest Part
Presidents tend to have a lot in common. They are married to spouses who work to carry on American values, with whom they live in the same house and with whom they assumedly sleep in the same bed. They raise largely successful children who don't work for them and who they've never mentioned wanting to sleep with. They are hardworking and smart, available at all hours to fight for America. They rarely take time off for leisure save for brief reprieves with literature. And they have a dog - or two.
Much of the same cannot be said of our current president, Donald Trump. In fact, Trump is the first president in more than 100 years to be dogless. This gaping hole in Americanness shouldn't be that shocking given Mr. Trump's contrarian, "Drain the swamp!" style.
Several presidents have gone dogless, but the last president to be without a dog was William McKinley, who was commander in chief from 1897-1901. However, according to the Presidential Pet Museum, McKinley did have pets: he had a parrot, two angora kittens, and roosters. Does Trump have any pets? The Presidential Pet Museum believes not.
Also of note before McKinley is Andrew Johnson. He didn't have a dog, was impeached in 1868 and apparently "left flour out at night for a family of white mice playing in his room" amidst the political drama. Pet food for thought.
One fluffy, silver lining is that Trump has reportedly attempted to get a dog in recent months, specifically a goldendoodle named Patton. As the New York Post reported in January, Trump was set to adopt the pup from friend Lois Pope, but Pope kept the dog after forming a connection with it herself. Pope claims Trump listed his constant traveling as a reason why he'd be a poor owner. Hmm.
Further proof that Trump seems to be anticanine? He loves insulting people by saying they failed or choked "like a dog" on Twitter.
Mitt Romney had his chance to beat a failed president but he choked like a dog. Now he calls me racist-but I am least racist person there is

- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 12, 2012
We're anxious to know what will become of Trump's presidential pet ownership, but we do know one thing: getting a dog might help solve his failing disapproval ratings. As the Washington Post observes, a presidential dog offers good publicity and bipartisan relatability. They also provide personal benefits like stress reduction and loyalty.
Might not want to let that sleeping dog lie, President Trump.
Controversy Is Brewing Over Starbucks's Annual Holiday Cups Yet Again
Without fail, every year Starbucks receives a surprisingly significant amount of criticism over its annual holiday cups. The widespread coffee chain regularly receives backlash due to its ever-changing red cups and the lack of traditional Christmas symbols. This year, an illustration of two people holding hands has some people up in arms.
In October, Starbucks released a promotional video announcing the year's new red cup design. It features several adorable illustrated figures getting ready for the holidays or simply enjoying a cup of coffee. Since this year's cup is meant to be customized, the video also features text that reads, "The holidays mean something different to everyone." Weeks later, however, people started realizing that a pair of women in the video were presumed to be a lesbian couple.
As a joke, BuzzFeed asked its readers if the new cup was "totally gay." The article also pointed out the pair of gender-neutral hands holding each other on the cup. A colleague of the BuzzFeed writer was quoted in the article saying, "I can attest to the lesbianism of The Hands" - again, as a joke.
Then Fox News got word of it. The outlet included several tweets from people who were upset about the cup and planning on boycotting Starbucks. Fox News also referred to BuzzFeed's article and claimed the publication "asserted the hypothesis is fact," failing to fully grasp the sarcastic tone.
On Twitter, several people began using the hashtag #BoycottStarbucks and claimed the company was pushing its liberal or gay agenda onto consumers. Despite the many negative tweets, others online have also started using the hashtag to mock those upset about the pair of androgynous hands.
Following the hooplah, The New York Times reached out to Starbucks. Sanja Gould, a company spokeswoman, said, "This year's hand-drawn cup features scenes of celebrating with loved ones - whoever they may be," adding, "We intentionally designed the cup so our customers can interpret it in their own way, adding their own color and illustrations."
This Clip of Trump on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air Is Going Viral Because It's So Damn Prophetic
In 1994, Donald Trump appeared on an episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air as a potential buyer for the Banks house. While Trump, playing himself, appraises the property, Ashley Banks interrupts him to say, "Thank you for ruining my life," presumably because she doesn't want to move out of her family home.
Accurate representation of America right now http://pic.twitter.com/PNhFiVXe0L
- Shane (@FourScore64) November 10, 2016
The clip has resurfaced since people who are disgruntled about Trump's presidency can certainly relate to Ashley. A Twitter user who goes by Shane shared the clip and it went viral: the post has already amassed over 50,000 retweets.
Here's the kicker: when asked how he upset Ashley, Trump's response is, "Everybody's always blaming me for everything." Trump might want to get used to that over the next four years.

Melania Trump's wardrobe as First Lady is definitely luxe. You'll find designer brands such as Dior, Valentino, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, and even Kardashian favorite Balmain. This Curve Model Re-Created Victoria's Secret Ads - and She Looked Freakin' Beautiful
If you haven't heard of Tabria Majors, you will now. The curvy model made headlines when she re-created several Victoria's Secret campaign photos. The point of the shoot, according to Tabria, was to "revisit the conversation of average-sized women being represented in mainstream media." She stripped down to her skivvies - in the same exact ones the Angels wore - to show that all body types deserve to be celebrated. She wrote on Instagram, "Just paying homage to a few of my favorite pics/outfits from VS here and showing that curvy girls can rock (and sell) lingerie just as well as straight size models."
Tabria's not the first one to re-create photos in order to make a powerful statement on diversity in fashion. Two months ago, another plus-size model redid Kim Kardashian's sexy swimsuit shoot for similar reasons. Scroll through to see Tabria's empowering images.

Her latest silhouette, a bright orange triangle suit with side ties, didn't stray from the rest.
But it was Alessandra's bohemian-inspired, embroidered kimono that stuck with us, as it changed up the vibe and provided romantic appeal. Alessandra's ensemble was complete with Illesteva Leonard sunglasses ($124, originally $177) in amber tortoise, an accessory that brought together all the shades in her look. 9 Ways to Get Alcohol For Free on a Plane
Getting free alcohol on flights is sort of my thing. Don't judge me (or do - I'll still be sipping away the next time I fly), but I quite enjoy a drink on a long flight. Or two. Or . . . well, anyway. The point is, as a frequent flier who takes red-eyes, international flights, and flights from the West Coast to East Coast often, I've got a system for getting my drink on (responsibly, of course) while not spending all that much money on the pricey airplane alcohol. I could be selfish and guard these secrets with my life, but what's the fun in drinking alone? Cheers to your next flight, hopefully one where free booze flows thanks to these tips and tricks.
1. Be nice!
You'd be surprised just how far this can get you. Flight attendants have to deal with a slew of annoying issues and complaints constantly, so a friendly face among the masses of disgruntled travelers can really stand out. Make friends with whoever is serving you, be genuine, and, if you can, make them smile or laugh. This will encourage them to return the kindness in the form of liquid friendship, if you're lucky.
2. Fly on a holiday.
Flying on a major holiday has its perks and drawbacks. While it can be a bit lonely and disheartening to be on a plane while friends and family celebrate something special, you may just appear pitiful enough to score yourself some free booze, especially if you're flying solo. I've flown alone on several Christmas Days and have gotten free drinks every time.
3. Order extra.
One of my drinks of choice when I'm flying is a Bloody Mary, but I never need the entire can of tomato juice for just one little airplane bottle of vodka - it screws up the ratio, but I hate wasting the juice! So ask your flight attendant to toss in a second airplane bottle if you're feeling extra boozy. Often, they'll throw it in for free, and sometimes they'll even give you several. One glorious red-eye flight found me double-fisting four airplane bottles for the price of one after a fun chat with a flight attendant led to a successful solo happy hour (and a great night's sleep on the plane . . .).
4. Fly internationally.
Many international airlines and international flights will offer free alcohol, depending on who you're flying with, where you're flying to/from, and how long your flight is. Make sure to either ask or check out the in-flight information so that you don't miss out on any freebies.
5. Go to your flight attendant instead of making them come to you.
OK, I definitely don't mean you should bombard them! But if they've already completed the drink service and you're still feeling a little thirsty, try approaching your favorite flight attendant rather than using the dreaded call button. It saves them the hassle of navigating all the way back to your seat, and they may thank you for it by keeping their card reader stashed soundly in the liquor cart while they slip you the good stuff.
6. Be helpful!
If a poor kid (or adult - no judgment) who is scared of flying wants to sit with a family member but is separated from them, offer up your seat. If someone is placed in the emergency exit row and doesn't feel comfortable performing the tasks, switch seats with them. You will help simplify everyone's lives, and flight attendants really appreciate that. It gives them more incentive to pay it forward with a bottle of booze.
7. Let your flight attendant know it's your special day.
If you're flying on your birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, or other special event, let your flight attendant know! You shouldn't expect anything from them, but if you're fun and engaging, your flight attendant may want to help you celebrate by offering you a glass of Champagne to say cheers with you.
8. Fly first class.
This is a no-brainer, but an easy way to get free alcohol is to fly first class, where it's (almost always) included. While not technically free since you're paying for it with the price of your ticket, if you get an upgrade to first class without having to pay extra, then you're in luck! Some airlines also offer free drinks in business class as well.
9. Be a frequent flier of an airline.
Members of JetBlue's Mosaic, American Airline's Executive members, and United Global Services passengers all get the drink upgrades for their loyalty. If you're a member of a loyalty program with an airline, check out what benefits are offered to see if alcohol is included!
Why You Should Never, Ever Check Your Luggage on a Plane
If you check luggage on your flight, you're inviting disaster along for your trip. It's not always that dramatic - sometimes it's just a mere inconvenience - but other times you're asking for more trouble than those extra pairs of shoes that made you upgrade to a larger bag are worth. As a frequent traveler, I avoid checking luggage at all costs - because I've learned the hard way. Unless I'm going on a trip spanning several weeks in the dead of Winter and need bulky sweaters and jackets to stay warm, I'm flying stress-free with just my trusted carry-on. I've had my luggage damaged. I've had my luggage lost and received it days later. I've had to switch flights/airlines last minute in order to make a connection at my next destination city and would not have been able to do so if my luggage was already on its way to be loaded onto my original plane. I've experienced the Hunger Games-like rush to grab my bag off the belt in order to make it through customs at an international airport so that I could catch the next leg of my flight. I've dealt with it all, and you probably will too if you check your bags frequently.
I know, there are exceptions to my "no checked bag" rule - if you're traveling with young children who can't lug their own bags (start them young, I say!), then you may not be able to avoid checking. Strollers, car seats - I get it. There are understandably circumstances when it can't be avoided, but if you can avoid checking, don't hesitate to. It's possible, I promise. Here's why you should keep your luggage with you on your next flight.
1. You save money.
This is a pretty significant reason to skip checking a bag, especially depending on what airline you're flying. While some airlines (looking at you, JetBlue and Virgin!) let you have your first bag (as long as it's not oversize) for free, many costs range from $25-$50 per bag for checking. Paying for a bag you have to wait in a long line to check (and one that may get lost or damaged) really feels like adding insult to injury.
2. You'll get through the airport faster.
Carrying on your luggage means avoiding the lines for checking your bags before you go through security. Many airlines allow you to check in to your flight 24 hours ahead of time (international flights can have different policies since passports are involved). You can get your mobile boarding pass and skip the wait to drop your bags by breezing past the kiosks and heading straight for security. Getting through the airport will be much less painful.
3. Your belongings are in safe hands.
You can rest assured that your valuables are in safe hands, because they are in your hands. When you need to bring items on your travels that have great worth to you, you'll have peace of mind knowing where they are at all times because you'll have control over how they are stored and transported.
4. Your luggage itself will be more protected.
It's no secret that your luggage isn't necessarily being handled with care. It's tossed on a conveyor belt and haphazardly transferred (after a roller-coaster ride) to the underbelly of your plane, where it will be crammed among countless other bags. While it's normal for luggage to go through some wear and tear on your travels, carrying it on means keeping it in better condition for longer.
5. It's easier to travel with less-bulky items.
If you plan on traveling from destination to destination instead of staying in one place, having a small carry-on bag is much more manageable than toting around a 50-pound bag full of things you probably don't even need.
6. You are forced to bring only what you need.
Not checking your bags means becoming a smarter packer. Because you have to optimize your bag space, you'll be more inclined to pack just the basics. You can avoid bringing along things you will inevitably realize in hindsight were unnecessary, and soon packing will be like an art form to you. Having an efficient packing system can make air travel so much less stressful.
7. You have everything you need for delays and long layovers.
If you have to camp out in the airport due to unforeseen delays, flight cancellations, or long layovers, having a carry-on with all of your belongings means having access to everything you could need during that time.
8. You don't have to wait for your bag once you deplane.
After hours of a long flight, the last thing anyone feels like doing is waiting around for that beautiful (or shrill, depending on how you look at it) beeping noise that indicates your bags are on their way down the belt. It seems like no matter how early or late you arrive to check in luggage, your bag is always the very last to come trundling down the slide. If it comes at all. Skip this process altogether and head straight out of the airport with your carry-on.

4 Ways Decluttering Will Improve Your Health
Medical professionals and organizers alike believe that a cluttered home is not just an aesthetic problem - it can lead to very real health issues like insomnia, weight gain, anxiety, and depression. Done & Done NYC has worked with many clients who experience health symptoms related to a messy house and a messy mind. Based on our extensive experience, we have zeroed in on the biggest problem areas in your home, and can teach you how to clear harmful clutter.
1. Cluttered surfaces can create anxiety.
The Problem: Surfaces covered in papers, makeup, clothes, and dishes create a sense of visual chaos.
How it affects you health: You will almost certainly have trouble finding what you need, which can lead to the stressful experience of rushing out of the house every morning. Do you lose important things, like your car keys or work documents in your own home? Increased stress levels can raise your cortisol levels and increase your risk of cardiovascular issues and anxiety and insomnia. It will make you more distracted and less productive. It can also spread stress to your roommates, family members, and co-workers, which can lead to interpersonal conflicts.
The Solution: Schedule a weekend to declutter your home. Purge your closet, open the mail that's piling up, and buy some attractive bins to keep items by category like makeup, office supplies, and other items. Then, establish an ironclad daily routine. Kate's Pawlowski, cofounder of Done & Done NYC, suggests, "after having coffee, spend five minutes on each of the following tasks: clearing tables, loading the dishwasher, fold clothes, make your bed. This way, you will never have to return to a messy house after a long work day, and prevent a clutter relapse by letting things pile up."
2. Messy, unfinished projects can lead to depression.
The Problem: Your knitting is in a knotted pile on the floor of your bedroom. Or you started crafting, but halfway through had to leave to go out. That was six months ago and you still haven't picked it back up!
How it affects your health: The feeling of never finishing a project can reinforce negative beliefs about ourselves that affect our self-esteem. These hobbies are important to our creative lives and should be outlets for our creativity, not a drain on our energy.
The Solution: Create a dedicated workspace for your projects. If you don't have the space for a desk and storage, then organize each project into bins and stack them in a closet. The objective is to centralize your projects in one place so they don't spill all over your house. If you are in the middle of one right now, and don't have the time or willingness to finish: give yourself permission to throw it away, and start again another time. Remember: hobbies are supposed to be pleasurable and stress relieving!
3. A chaotic bedroom can prevent a good night's sleep.
The Problem: Your bedroom doubles as your living room and home office, and the floor is a stew of papers, clothes, and blankets.
How it affects your health: Even if you're not conscious of it, a cluttered bedroom can make you restless and keyed up before bed. Insomnia can reinforce anxiety and leave you lethargic all day long.
The Solution: If possible, take all nonsleep related things out of the bedroom. Your laptop should live in your office or in your living room, as should all work and creative things. Fold your clothes neatly in your closet to keep your floor clear. Kate even keeps her phone in her living room at all times, so she isn't tempted to scroll through her Instagram feed before bed. Make a rule about what goes in your bedroom and keep it totally analog: a good book, a cup of herbal tea, and a snuggly blanket (or snuggle buddy!).
4. Holding onto things you don't use can lead to weight gain.
The Problem: You feel so overwhelmed at home that your meals are a mad dash to the fridge. You have so much on your mind, carving out the time to go to the gym isn't an option. Sitting down to a peaceful meditation in the morning? Please.
How it affects your health: You may not think that clutter, meditation, and weight gain are related, but they definitely are. Peter Walsh, fellow professional organizer, argues that the stress of a cluttered home can elevate certain hormones that cause your body to hold onto excess weight. Not to mention that a calm mind is more in tune with the body, and is apt to choose healthier foods.
The Solution: Once you're finished with your living room and bedroom clear out, move onto your kitchen. Organize your refrigerator into sections. Proteins such as meat and tofu can go on one shelf, vegetables and fruits in the drawer, milk and yogurt on the shelf. Being able to see what's in your fridge will let you shop smarter when at the grocery store, so you always have what you need. Also, your newly organized home will give you the mental clarity to truly be able to ask yourself, "What do I want to eat?" Meals are no longer acts of hurried desperation, but thoughtful and mindful experiences.
Change doesn't happen overnight. Be kind to yourself during this process - you are trying your best! And so am I, imperfectly.
The Obamas Traded the White House For This $5.3M Mansion
When their presidential term comes to end, most first families are eager to return to a life of anonymity far away from Washington DC - but the Obamas aren't most first families. Their younger daughter, Sasha, has a couple years of school left. With this in mind, Politico has revealed that the Obamas are staying put in DC, at least until Sasha graduates.
They've traded the White House for a luxurious brick mansion in the upscale DC neighborhood of Kalorama, just two miles away. This makes Barack Obama the first president to stay in DC after his term since Woodrow Wilson in 1921. Kalorama is home to many embassies and ambassadors' residences, so it already has the security its new residents need.
The Obamas are reportedly renting the nine-bedroom, eight-and-a-half-bathroom estate from former Clinton administration Press Secretary Joe Lockart and wife Giovanna Gray, who paid $5.3 million for it in 2014. The sprawling 8,200-square-foot home was built in 1928, and its traditional bones have been tastefully updated with modern fixtures and decor.
Look through the pictures below to see the luxurious amenities the former first family is enjoying now that they've left office.
The Bestselling Travel Wallet on Amazon Will Organize Your Life, and It's Only $14!
Whether you're traveling or constantly out and about for work, keeping your belongings in place can be stressful. For me, I feel like all of my things become one big messy jumble at the bottom of my purse. That's why I was really excited when I discovered the Travelambo Bifold Multi-Card Wallet ($14). It's currently the bestselling item in its category on Amazon.
So what makes it so special? For starters, it holds a ridiculous amount of stuff. The design includes 15 card slots, one ID slot, and two long zipped slots that will fit cash or even an iPhone. It also comes in 20 different colors - you name the shade, it probably has it. The wallet is made with synthetic leather that's easy to clean. Also, when you snap it closed, it's very slim, so it doesn't take up a ton of space. Basically, this little accessory is my dream come true.
On top of everything, the wallet is RFID blocking so it protects you from identity theft. It's hard to believe it's available at such an affordable price. If you need further convincing, 64 percent of buyers gave this item a five-star rating. Plus, it's available on Amazon Prime, so you can get it in as little as two days with free shipping. Would you consider buying this nifty wallet?
A Flight Attendant Reveals 21 Secrets You Need to Know Before Taking Off
They (graciously) serve us cold drinks and packages of pretzels, and have mastered the art of navigating a tiny aisle full of travelers who choose to ignore the "fasten seatbelt" light. But what's it really like to be a flight attendant? And is there a secret to getting your ears to pop on a plane? A flight attendant who works for a major US airline recently did an IamA on Reddit, and shed some light on the job, as well as tips and secrets for flying.
1. Is there a "good" way to make your ears pop on ascent/descent? Pressure sometimes drives me crazy.
"Look up scuba diving equalization techniques. One of those is probably your best bet."
2. Is it true that cabin crews use tap water to obtain hot water and they use it for tea and coffee?
"Yep. If you didn't see it come out of a bottle, it could've been from the portable water tanks. Tea and coffee always come from those tanks. Some of us drink it, some don't . . . Those tanks are filled at many airports by many different people, and cleaning them is hard. And when you're on three or four planes in a day, it increases our exposure that much more, so we don't [drink from them]."
3. Do you get any kids flying unaccompanied? Is it a lot of work for you when you have young passengers to keep an eye on?
"Yeah, especially during school breaks and summertime. It's not a lot of extra work, and I like to have fun with them if they're cool. Even the most jaded flight attendants perk up at UNAMs (unaccompanied minors)."
4. Is it acceptable/ normal to tip FAs for drink purchases?
"We're supposed to politely decline once before accepting. It's not common, but it is appreciated! Just keep in mind there's more than one of us on the plane, so I'd only do it if you received exceptional service from one of us in particular."
5. What was the worst customer interaction you have had to deal with?
"I had to take a drunk former NFL player (looked him up after) out of my galley when he wouldn't get the hint that my coworker didn't want to sleep with him. That was rough, and I would've been screwed if he had gotten any more violent."
6. I have a close friend that would like to explore a career as a flight attendant since she enjoys traveling. Would you have any advice for her? How can she prepare to become an extraordinary candidate when it comes to interviews or just the hiring process as a whole?
"First, make sure that she wants the job and not the glamour. It's easy to love travel when you're in Paris or Lima or Toronto. Less so when you're in Omaha, Bozeman, McAllen.
To prepare, get as much customer service experience on her resume as possible. Bonus points for supervisor roles. Be nice and personable. Learn a new language if it's possible.
There's a great Facebook group called Flight Attendant Career Connection. Some woman runs it and tries to sell things to people (skip the non-free stuff), but the group itself is a good group.
And finally, do your research. Don't apply for American if you want to be based in Houston. Or United if you want Atlanta. Or Delta if you wanted Chicago. Understand the individual carrier's tattoo, commuting, and pay policies."
7. Have you ever caught anyone having sex in the plane bathroom? If so, how did you deal with the situation? What would typically happen if someone gets caught having sex? Is it usually a charge right off the bat?
"Not yet. If they're being quiet and discreet, I'd probably let them finish on a longer flight. We're supposed to stop them, though."
8. What would typically happen if someone gets caught having sex? Is it usually a charge right off the bat?
"Typically? No. If you get caught, you're told to stop. If you do, and you weren't going at it in your seat in front of everyone, most flight attendants would drop it then (we hate paperwork like everyone else).
If you cause a scene, then we'll have to write it up and tell the flight deck, and then things are out of our hands."
9. Was there ever a moment where you felt like you were certainly going to be in a crash?
"Yeah, I've prepped for an emergency landing twice. It's not fun, but we just fall back to our training and by the time it's over, it's like you were on autopilot and didn't really have time to freak out. Both landings ended up going okay."
10. Which kinds of airline passengers are the most annoying to you?
"The ones who are so wrapped up in their own world they forget that they're traveling with 200 other human beings, and are being attended to by other humans.
Quick story: I had a medical situation on my flight. As I'm attending to it, as a second, more serious situation happens.
I leave the first passenger with one crew member and go to help the other two in the back by grabbing supplies (I thought we were gonna have to use the AED). I heard a call bell go off, but it didn't look important (no one was slumped down or laid out in the aisle like the other two) so I kept going. As I finish up the situation, the call bell rings twice. I run over, and this woman has the nerve to go off on me and yell that I haven't attended to her this whole time (we must've been in the air for 45 minutes out of a three-hour flight) and she 'needs a god damned diet coke.' No care for the two people on the floor, or the flight attendants and EMTs that happened to be onboard. No, no, this woman needed her Diet Cola."
11. I'm about to take my almost two year old on a six-hour flight for the first time. What are some things parents in my position do that totally piss off the crew? And what isn't always done but makes your lives easier?
"Do: Be completely self sufficient. Remember that babies have a hard time adjusting to the pressurization and can't clear their ears like adults. Get them something to chew on before takeoff and landing, that generally helps. Ask for help if you need it. take your time. board early if the airline lets you, and deplane later than others.
Don't: Ask us for milk (you don't want ours, trust me), cooling (I don't have fridges), or heating (I'm not putting your bottles in our ovens). Expect us to have entertainment for a baby for six hours. Honestly, most flight attendants are fine with babies. The other passengers might raise more of a stink than we ever would."
12. Is retaining flight attendant employees/career an issue?
"No, not really. At our airline, five years in is still considered to be fairly junior. At some bases, the reserve cutoff (meaning you get ta set schedule instead of being on call) is more than 10 years of seniority. That's usually the junior-most 20 percent or so. Furthermore, when we hire, we get flooded with applications. It's not hard to find excellent candidates.
In this profession, seniority is everything. The reason you see the older folks on the long haul international is because that's what they want, and since they've been here the longest, that's what they get to work. The short, less productive, trips are worked by a newer staff."
13. What should I do about safely traveling with my guitar in cabin on a crowded flight?
"Get on the plane as early as possible. Get in as early of a group as possible, depending on the airline, you might have to sign up for a credit card or pay for early access. If you ask nicely, we have closets that we sometimes have room in."
14. Have you ever seen someone downgraded to coach or bumped off the flight entirely to seat someone the airline deems to be a VIP?
"Doesn't happen with VIPs. I have a way to look up the VIPs flying with us, they're almost always in first days before the flight. Sometimes though, flights are oversold. That gets tricky and props to the GAs who deal with that. Can also happen for security reasons. Can't say more about that though."
15. How often do you or your peers hook up on trips?
"Depends on the crew. The older crew, not often, sometimes internationally. Some of them have been doing this 20+ years, so I guess at some point the novelty wears off.
The younger ones . . . speaking from experience, on an international widebody crew (staffed with 8+ FAs) with a junior crew, there's usually at least one person hooking up on a layover, be it with another crew member, local, or (rarely) a passenger. Domestically, it happens, but not as often.
As the only straight guy sometimes, it's nice, but hard to toe the line and not come across as a sleezeball. There's 25,000 of us, but in this job, your reputation precedes you anywhere you go. I know of at least two guys who aren't told of plans on layovers because of their reputation."
17. How do you get over the fear that the plane can crash at any time?
"You almost don't. Five weeks of training are dedicated to emergency procedures. We just hope to never have to use that training. But if something happens, I have a worse chance of surviving than you do. It's why we're so cranky about seemingly benign things (laptops away, tray tables up, things unplugged, etc) sometimes.
If the job was all serving cokes and meals, they'd've replaced us with vending machines years ago."
18. Is it true that I couldn't be a FA, because I'm 6'6"? Also do you get to spend much time at destinations abroad or domestic?
"Depends on the airline. Too tall for ours but they go off your drivers license and don't measure you themselves.
Domestic can be as short as 8 hours (which is a joke but it happens). International is usually at least 24 hours, but most of the time you really only get about 10 hours to explore and you've got to sleep twice in that time frame."
19. I'm absolutely terrified of flying. I take medication for anxiety attacks before the plane, and attempt to let flight attendants know about it, but honestly have no idea how to handle it. How would you like someone to tell you? And are there any tips for flying for someone who is scared?
"Absolutely tell us! We'll check on you during the flight. Most of us have friends or family that are nervous fliers too, we understand.
As to how/when, if it's a long flight and you have a chance to get up and walk to a galley, come find us and chit chat for a bit once the service is done. If it's not a super long flight and you can't really get up, try to catch one of us standing during boarding or during the service.
Don't worry about the other people around you, that's my job.
Tips, unfortunately, I don't have any flying specific ones, sorry! General anxiety ones I've picked up though include making sure your diet is balanced (and you're not changing it too much before a flight), avoid caffeine, sugars, and alcohol. Find a good breathing app for your phone and do breathing exercises. Learn to properly meditate. Personally, I like tight clothing when I'm anxious (I like hugs, and tight clothing is close enough sometimes) but if you get claustrophobic, wear loose clothing."
20. When you first became a flight attendant, what were things that disappointed you about the job?
"I don't know that I was disappointed with anything - I'd done my research and I knew most of the downsides going into the job. The biggest thing I wasn't expecting is the lifestyle change. You start and end every trip at your home base, but that doesn't mean you start and end every day at that base. A three day trip might take you through 8 cities, and you may wake up and go to sleep at different cities each of those days. I've woken up and not known what city, state, or even country I'm in."
21. What types of flight benefits do you guys get?
"I fly for free domestically (taxes only), and have heavily reduced rates overseas. I get one friend or spouse that flies at my level, at my cost. My parents have benefits as well. My kids (if I had them) would have benefits. And then there's buddy passes for friends, which I try to never use (too much hassle. If they're an idiot, I get in trouble. If they get stuck, they get mad at me. Easier to just tell people no)."
10 Travel Trends on the Rise in 2018
Often called the wanderlust generation, more and more young people are jet-setting than ever before. We move for so many reasons - the stories, the lessons, the lifelong memories, or to see if the Indian Ocean is really that blue. And the travel industry, like the explorers themselves, doesn't sit still. With the rise of pocket-friendly platforms like budget airlines and apartment sharing, globetrotting is that much easier. So as the industry continues to evolve, so do the types of trips we take.
To find out more about what travel trends are on the rise, we linked up with Jessica Bisesto, a senior editor at travel deals finder TravelPirates, to share her predictions for 2018. From flying solo to stomping grapes, here are 10 travel trends expected to soar in the new year.
Remote Productivity: How to Stay Focused While Working From Home
As I've stated before, like it or not, the workplace is changing. As millennials continue to place value on experiences and express a need for work/life balance, we will see more of the disappearance of the traditional 9-to-5 office setting. Instead, you will see many instances where employees are given the option to work from home or remotely. You'll also see that many will opt for not working with just one company, but instead working with multiple companies in what everyone is calling the gig economy. This new way of working can be a gift and a curse because, on one hand, you have freedom and are not stuck to an office. On the other hand, this newfound freedom may decrease your productivity. So how do you stay focused while working remotely? The following are my top five tips:
1. Show Gratitude
Oddly enough, the work environment puts you in the mood to work. Because of the structure and design, most people don't have to convince themselves to start their work once they're in the office. When working remotely, it may be a little more difficult to set the right mood, especially if you would rather be doing something else. Make sure that you are not in the "I wish I didn't have to work" mindset. Start the day by showing gratitude in general for waking up, for your health, and for your ability to bring in an income. Exercise if you can, build up your endorphins, have a hearty breakfast, quiet your mind, meditate, or pray. Getting you into the attitude of gratitude helps alleviate the risk of being unmotivated and uninspired.
2. Set and Stick to a Schedule
Since you are not confined to traditional hours or a traditional office, make sure you don't just wing it. Time goes by really fast, so if you don't structure your time accordingly, you can look up and not have accomplished much. It is important that you set and stick to a schedule. Whether you decide to work eight hours straight through or break it up into different segments of the day, it is important that whatever time you have allocated for work is dedicated to just that . . . work! Make sure that your work schedule matches with your natural schedule as well. If you do your best work in the morning, set up work time to coincide with this. If you work better at night, allow your schedule to fit accordingly.
3. Remove Unnecessary Distraction
As a society that feels that it needs to be plugged in at all times, it's easy to lose focus on social media, picking up the latest headlines, or simply interacting with your Facebook friends. That's why it's important to turn off your phone when you need to work without distraction. Create a schedule for when you will check your email. Shut off any notifications you have on your phone or computer to assure that something unimportant doesn't sidetrack you. If possible, shut off the internet. Removing unnecessary distractions will allow you to stay focused and productive while working remotely.
4. Choose Your Music Wisely
Your mood can be influenced by many things: TV, the weather, and what you ate for breakfast are just some examples. Music also has a big influence on how you feel. If you decide to listen to tunes as you work, make sure that you choose sounds that are uplifting and keep you positive.
5. Set Boundaries For Your Family and Friends
Make sure that you are not scheduling your work time around social or family obligations. However, also make sure that you are setting boundaries for your family and friends so that they do not become an obstacle to your work productivity. Letting your family and friends know your work schedule is imperative to avoiding any conflict or temptation.

See What's in Store For You in the New Year Based on Your Zodiac Sign
A new year equals new beginnings for everyone. It's a chance to work off of another clean slate, embrace change, and hopefully pick up some improvements along the way. To find out what 2018 has in store for you and to see out how you can gear up, starting now, we've spoken with Athena Perrakis, PhD and founder and CEO of Sage Goddess.
Though there are those who traditionally celebrate New Year's on Jan. 1, Athena is one of the many who celebrates Samhain, the Celtic New Year, on Oct. 31. The Halloween holiday for us was honored by the ancient Celts as "a night of magical border crossing for spirits," according to Athena. The Celts then honored Nov. 1 as the start of their calendar year.
She continued to explain how ancient Celtic priests made predictions about the year ahead (mainly about agriculture and crop cycles) based on what they saw and divined on Samhain Eve and Samhain.
"Even today, some of our mainstream Halloween traditions - like bobbing for apples and gazing into scrying mirrors to look for hidden symbols and messages - have their roots in Celtic practice and lore," Athena told POPSUGAR. "We dress up in masks and costumes on Halloween so that the ghosts who cross the veil won't recognize us in our human clothing or recognize our human faces. All of these fun traditions have their roots in something older and more meaningful than many realize."
And even if you don't celebrate Samhain, it's still an excuse to start making those resolutions early or start anew. See what to expect in your new year, straight from Athena.
Aries
"Consider restarting your commitment to your health right now, Aries. It's well expected in your chart and with the new-year energy surrounding you, now is the time to put your well-being first in your life. Begin a new exercise regimen or new way of eating on Nov. 1 and to try commit to it through the end of December, long enough to create new patterns and habits. You've been sensing the need to make a change in your health, and now is definitely the time."
Taurus
"For you, Taurus, the new beginning looks like a reboot of your professional goals. Much has changed and shifted in your world this year, Taurus, and now is the time to take stock, making any necessary changes and also giving thanks for all of the blessings you've received. Trust your intuition when it comes to choosing a new position or even a new profession. Big changes can pay off for you!"
Gemini
"The magic of this season has you thinking about renewal, Gemini, and the many ways you can be reborn this year. You are looking around and trusting that you have all the information and guidance you need to make progress in your life, but you're missing motivation. Focus your thoughts on what and who you want to become, and take small steps to get started now. Recruit your fire sign friends - Leo, Sagittarius, and Aries - to help support you with their passion and enthusiasm."
Cancer
"For you, Cancer, this new-year energy is an invitation to connect more deeply with your inner circle. You've taken a lot of private time this year so far to reflect, and that's been good for you; you needed that time alone to recharge. But now your inner circle is needing time with you too. Plan a fun dinner party or pay an unexpected visit to those who haven't seen you recently. Book airfare now to spend the holidays with your family. You'll enjoy the time even more this year."
Leo
"Leo, you are so ready to focus on home, family, parties, and celebrations, and that's the energy surrounding this new year for you! You've been busy on the work front, and now - at last, as the ultimate hostess - you can turn your attention toward home and start hosting people for celebrations and ceremonies. The party's at your house, Leo! Make time for yourself too, because with your social calendar, it's important to keep your own personal vibration high."
Virgo
"A new beginning for you, Virgo, reveals that you will be able to work smarter, not harder, using skills you've recently developed and been working on behind the scenes. You knew there was a better way, and it would seem you're ready to share about it! Use this burst of energy and focus to complete tasks you've had on your to-do list for too long. An old friend may reappear, coming to town under the guise of a work engagement. If so, make time to see him or her. A new venture could emerge from your conversations."
Libra
"For you, Libra, a new beginning also means a chance to rest. You've been running hard and fast this year, and it's not clear why astrologically. But you feel like you've had the wind behind you, pushing you to complete unfinished tasks and assignments. Now, you can reflect and rest and rely on your intuition to guide you. It won't fail you!"
Scorpio
"Scorpio, now that Jupiter - the planet of gifts, mystery, and luck - is transiting your sign, you are in the driver's seat! Be very specific and focused when thinking about what you want to manifest right now. It's all possible for you! But only if you narrow your field of vision. Choose two to three projects you want to give extra energy and focus to right now or two to three dreams you really want to manifest this year. Less is more when it comes to focused manifestation."
Sagittarius
"Could it be true, Sagittarius, that you are ready to settle down a little? Maybe just for a little while! Your travel has drained you a little, and you're longing for the comforts of home and rest. Indulge those now because it looks like the holiday season will keep your calendar quite full. It's OK to admit that you need a break or time out."
Capricorn
"You've accomplished many of your goals for this year, Capricorn, but there are still a few things unfinished, and those have your attention at the moment. Think about how best to use your energy now to complete what is undone and also trust that Jupiter's transit to Scorpio will give you added insight as well that you can trust and count on to guide you."
Aquarius
"It's time for something new, Aquarius, and you know it! Of all the signs, Aquarius is the one who has most been wishing for a reboot, and your time has come. What would you create if you had no limitations to consider, Aquarius? Let yourself dream big now and see what can happen. It's all possible."
Pisces
"I see an expansion of your social circle ahead, Pisces, which might surprise you, but it's because many around you are finally starting to seek and appreciate (and trust) your counsel. The season of mystery and new beginnings is a reminder to others that magic is alive; fortunately for you, Pisces, you never forget that! A relationship that begins as a friendship now could grow stronger."

These 23 Secrets From a Former Disney World Employee Will Make Your Jaw Hit the Floor
Is Disney really all it's cracked up to be? Believe it or not, you'll be hard-pressed to find many former or current employees who don't have good things to say - for the most part. Either there's something in the water, or the company truly is great at what it does (we'll go with the latter). A former Walt Disney World employee did an AMA on Reddit that answered some pretty interesting questions - from people having sex in the parks to what really goes on behind the scenes. Spoiler alert: Disney World might actually be the Most Magical Place on Earth.
1. How many people approximately does Disney employ in Florida?
"On average, 75,000."
2. How seriously do they take costume and characters staying on?
"As a character performer, you could get fired for breaking character on stage."
3. Do those who are in the Mickey Mouse costumes and etc learn how to write their autographs as identical as possible?
"Yes, that's a requirement."
4. You get free tickets?
"I had a 'Self Admission Pass' that could get me into the parks for free whenever I wanted. I also earned three guest passes for every 150 hours I worked."
5. How do the character actors cope in the big suits when it is completely normal for the temperature to be pushing 100 degrees?
"If they're outside, They run on a 30 minutes on/30 minutes off schedule. If it's higher than 90 degrees outside, they're only in the costume for 20 minutes at a time."
6. I've had sex at Disneyland as a guest, and expect it would be easier for an employee. As a cast member, how many escapades were you able to get away with?
"The attractions all have cameras on them, so I assure you, some cast member saw everything you did. I actually never had sex in the parks, but I've heard some hilarious stories."
7. Do you miss working there? What's one of your more memorable moments (good or bad)?
"I miss it very much. I had a lot of memorable moments, but if I could pick a favorite, it would be a few nights before I left. I went to see Illuminations with all of my (attractions) coworkers from EPCOT. Our leader let us up onto one of the balconies in Italy to watch, which is a spot that not even guests get to go. I had become really close friends with these people."
8. Is Vista Way still called Vista Lay?
"Yes."
9. How aggressively do they update rides/walkways? Like from large scale rides to small details inside the park.
"It depends on what you mean by 'update'. The attractions have repairs/renovations done to them at least once a year. Every attraction has an opening checklist to be completed every morning, and a closing checklist to be completed every night. The items on any checklist usually relate to safety and show (everything should look the way it's supposed to). If even one of the items on the opening checklist doesn't pass, the attraction won't open until it's fixed."
10. Are there any stereotypes of people that play certain roles?
"I've met a lot of really sweet Rapunzels. Elsa is stuck up. Anna is also a sweetheart. Ariel is a mix. Tinker Bell is also really sweet. Oh and Tiana is always sarcastic and the very few Elena's that I met were such sweethearts and very friendly."
11. If you had a season pass and were forced to spend a year there, how would you plan out your stay as a guest/prisoner at Disney World?
"This would be the coolest thing ever because that means I could spend an entire year in Disney World and do whatever I want without consequences. I'd mess with people so much. Like I'd switch all the dolls in Small World around to all the wrong countries. I'd try to trick character performers into wearing mismatched costumes. I'd figure out how the interactive attractions work (Turtle Talk with Crush, Monsters Inc Laugh Floor) and use those to prank people. Stuff like that. As far as where I live, I'd probably figure out how to set up a permanent camp somewhere in Disney's Animal Kingdom, since that's the most I would be able to afford."
12. How accurate is Swoozie's diaries of an ex-Disney employee stories on YouTube?
"Mostly accurate. Keep in mind, he's a storyteller, so a lot of what he says is exaggerated since it makes for a better story."
13. Have you ever seen someone do anything terrible to the food that worked there?
"I never did, actually. Disney is very strict about food safety. Coordinators/leaders are watching the kitchen at all times, and there are cameras everywhere. I once got in trouble for eating a single french fry in front of people."
14. Did you serve alcohol there? Follow up, any funny stories of drunk parents and their embarrassed kids?
"Duh. Actually, I worked in EPCOT, which most Disney cast members have nicknamed 'the drunk park'. EPCOT houses the world showcase (alcohol from every corner of the world, pretty much), and hosts the annual International Food & Wine Festival. I had to deal with drunk guests on a daily basis, and I have two pretty funny stories pertaining to drunk guests:
1. I worked at a restaurant called the Electric Umbrella in EPCOT. One day, I was working at the counter, and a middle-aged man came up and bought a can of Bud Light. I opened one and handed it too him, and he chugged the entire thing in front of me, then handed it back and asked me to throw it out. A few minutes later, he came back and did the same thing. This happened two more times, then about 30 minutes later, I looked across the restaurant and saw his wife (I assume) yelling at him in front of their kids.
2. An extremely inebriated guest was trying to find Test Track. I spent 15 minutes (I counted) trying to explain to him that the ride he was looking for was right behind him."
15. What was the work culture there like? Any difference between lower-level and higher-level employees in attitude?
"I'm speaking from my own personal experience here, since every role is going to have a different feel to it. Most of the people that I worked with were super into their job. Disney trains us to treat everything as if it were one big show, so we just tried to make it fun. Everyone seemed to genuinely enjoy being at work.
There were a ton of strictly enforced rules and guidelines we had to follow, concerning everything from how you dress to how you have to act when you're 'on stage' (on stage means anywhere that you can be seen by guests). The leaders and coordinators usually had more of a stick up their rear end about these kinds of things, but I never had many problems with them. Part-time and full-time employees have a tendency to look down on/be condescending towards interns, but that doesn't always happen."
16. My sister worked for the Mouse and was treated horribly, especially when it came to housing where she was living with four people in a two-bedroom apartment, how was your experience?
"I had an amazing experience. Everyone seems to have a different experience when they come to work for Disney. It all depends on your perspective I guess. My experience with housing was pretty great, and I'm actually still friends with most of my roommates. I lived in two different apartment during my time there: the first was a one-bedroom three-person in Chatham Square, the next was also a one-bedroom three-person in Patterson Court."
17. Did you save any money while working at Disney? I've heard that they don't let you eat outside food, make you live in certain places, etc. so that in the end you don't really make any money.
"Those rumors are pretty exaggerated. Disney does offer housing to their interns, but they give you the option to live off-site. You can eat wherever you want. The last part is true though. By the end of my internship I broke even with my money."
18. If a person in a costume suffers a heart attack, stroke, etc. in the park, are they just dragged off somewhere?
"Disney has plans in place for situations like that. I'm not allowed to say what they are, but they do have policies in place."
19. So you aren't an ex-employee, then? Barring a lifetime NDA, pretty sure you're allowed to talk about them now that you've left.
"I am, but I don't want to jeopardize my chance of working for them again in the future. Disney keeps tabs on people that used to work for them, almost like a creepy ex-boyfriend/girlfriend."
20. Have you ever seen/interacted with someone famous or prestigious at the park?
"Neil Patrick Harris and Chris Evans. I found out that I'm a few inches taller than Chris, which made me feel really good. Like, I can tell people I'm taller than Captain America."
21. Do they really have underground tunnels for employees?
"Yes, but only at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. They're called the 'Utilidor' because Disney loves making new words for things."
22. Did your dreams come true?
"Yes, all of them. Even the weird ones."
23. Was it the happiest place on earth?
"Yes."
12 Hilarious Tweets Past Bachelor Contestants Sent During the Premiere
We made it, Bachelor Nation! It was a sad couple of months without our dramatic Monday nights, but season 22 of The Bachelor is finally here. Arie Luyendyk Jr., a 36-year-old race car driver and realtor in Scottsdale, AZ, was runner-up on Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette back in 2012. Now he's back and must get to know more than two dozen girls to (hopefully) find the one.
One of the great things about this franchise is that past contestants are never really gone. Many of them end up on Bachelor in Paradise or at least with an Instagram sponsorship or two. But beyond that, many are actually insanely funny as they live tweet new Bachelor episodes! They have an insider's perspective and aren't afraid to point out the good, the bad, and the downright weird.
Mystery Solved! Here's How Old The Bachelor's Bekah Is
The new year started off as every year should: with the premiere of The Bachelor! Blast from the past Arie Luyendyk Jr., a race car driver and realtor in Scottsdale, AZ, was introduced to more than two dozen women - and boy, were they . . . interesting.
Among them is Bekah Martinez, a nanny from Los Angeles. Bachelor Nation quickly realized a key piece of information missing about Martinez - her age. It's not shown on TV and doesn't even say it in her bio. Is she Benjamin Button? Does she even have an age? Well, everyone, she does. And that age is 22.
We can thank the Instagram gods for helping us solve this mystery! Martinez confirmed that her birthday is on Feb. 10, and on that day in 2016, she posted a picture with a #21. Now, I'm no Sherlock Holmes (maybe I am for figuring that out?), but that means that in 2017, she turned 22.
Why is this note-worthy, you may ask? Well, Luyendyk Jr. is 36 years old. So that means when he was on Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette back in 2012, Martinez was 17 years old - and too young to go on the show.
Arie is 36 and he'll be dating women who were teenagers the last time he was on the show #TheBachelor http://pic.twitter.com/CrGzH8UvPr

Martinez's age wasn't brought up in the season premiere, at the end of which she receives a rose. But a season teaser shows some the women discussing it. One woman says, "I think she is reluctant to tell Arie how old she is." And Martinez looks to get emotional about the topic.
Anyone hating on Martinez's age is probably just jealous of all the Instagram sponsorships she's going to have by her 23rd birthday (it's only funny 'cause it's true).
I don't get why everyone is freaking out about how old Bekah is? We all know she's at least 21, let's move on #TheBachelor

Have You Ever Noticed This 1 Song Plays in Every Season of Black Mirror?
"You can blame me, try to shame me, and still I'll care for you . . ."
If you're a Black Mirror fan, there's a chance the above lyrics have been burned into your memory, whether you realize it or not. In each season of Charlie Brooker's dystopian anthology series, Irma Thomas's "Anyone Who Knows What Love Is (Will Understand)" plays in one of the episodes. Most recently, the haunting, romantic ballad is a major part of the season four episode "Crocodile." It's also appeared in season one's "Fifteen Million Merits," season two's "White Christmas," and season three's "Men Against Fire." So, what's the deal with that song?
According to Brooker, it all started with a creative choice in season one, when Jessica Brown Findlay's Abi belts out the song during a reality competition show, "Hot Shot." It's her one chance to escape a life of endless physical drudgery, and the heartbreaking nature of the scene is greatly enhanced by her song choice.
"It was originally selected for ["Fifteen Million Merits"] because it was, it has the sound of a timeless haunting classic, yet wouldn't be familiar to most viewers," Brooker explained to The Wrap. "The idea was to have the character of Abi sing a song of earnest beauty."
The song pops up for the second time when Beth (Janet Montgomery) selects it as her karaoke bar song in the bleak season two episode "White Christmas," and again in season three's "Men Against Fire" when a character sings it while holding someone else at gunpoint.
Annabel Jones, Brooker's coshowrunner, revealed that the motivation behind bringing it back each season was because Brooker "liked the idea of nesting all the episodes together in an artistic universe of sorts."
"Oh, I think you know it is just - it's an Easter egg," Jones told The Wrap. "I think it's something we just love and find very emotive. And it's something that's really worked for us as a motif. And so if we can bring it back in and it adds to the overall sense of the universe or connection between some of the things that we're talking about, then that's great. But it is a lovely piece of music."
It might be lovely, but the song definitely adds an extracreepy vibe to season four's "Crocodile," as it plays over and over again while the episode's unhinged protagonist spirals out of control. Just another day in the life of Black Mirror, right? If your memory needs a refresher, listen to the original version of "Anyone Who Knows What Love Is (Will Understand)" below.
Watch All the Times Jimmy Fallon Nailed It With Classroom Instruments
Along Jimmy Fallon's road to the top, he's given us a lot to smile about - not the least of which are these classroom-instrument song renditions. Ever since he brought Carly Rae Jepsen on Late Night to sing "Call Me Maybe" with colorful xylophones and The Roots, it's become an ongoing act. He's even continued it on The Tonight Show, most recently with "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" and Anna Kendrick. Let's take a walk down memory lane and look back at his best videos.
