Kerry Washington looks stunning wherever she goes - and the Golden Globes were no exception. The Scandal star showed up with gorgeous waves and makeup in Pantone's Color of the Year: Ultra Violet.

Cult director Tommy Wiseau is one of the most enigmatic men in Hollywood, and his film The Room is one of the most fiercely hated (and, somehow, loved) movies in recent memory. At the 2018 Golden Globes, Wiseau got to have his moment in the sun - all thanks to James Franco, who brought Wiseau's story to life in the The Disaster Artist and took home the award for best actor in a comedy or musical.

As President Donald Trump prepared to take office on Inauguration Day, Barack Obama quietly vacated the West Wing. But Obama left something behind during his exit: a letter, one that traditionally passes between two presidents as the highest office in the land changes hands. "We just went to the Oval Office and found this beautiful letter from President Obama. Time and time again, Rep. Maxine Waters has proved that she's sure as hell not afraid to candidly express her thoughts about controversial political figures, whether it be on social media, during television appearances, or at political events. You certainly don't want to be on the California congresswoman's bad side, and it looks like President Donald Trump has officially sealed the No. 1 spot on her sh*t list, with Roy Moore coming in a close second place.

When Moore lost the Alabama Senate race to Democrat Doug Jones on Dec. 12 - a historic and notable moment for the deeply red state - Waters couldn't resist tossing in her two cents on the election results. She immediately fired off an epic (and, yes, rather savage) tweet aimed at Trump, who adamantly pleaded for votes in Moore's favor during the Alabama Senate race.

The tweet digs at Trump's alarming Diet Coke addiction (ICYMI, the POTUS reportedly tosses back a whopping dozen cans of the beverage each day) while also referencing Moore's recent onslaught of sexual assault allegations. And can we please just discuss her hysterical hashtag choice? All we have to say is LOL. This woman has truly solidified her title as the ultimate Queen of Sass.

Needless to say, people are absolutely living for her shade-throwing abilities, which some may compare to that of a freakin' full-grown oak tree.











The Heartbreaking Photos That Capture a Tragic Birth Story

"It was so beautiful and precious. I would do it again, and again, and again," Julie told Ela Wunderli of Itsy Photography, who photographed the birth of her seventh child, Lily, who would die shortly after birth.

In her 36th week of pregnancy, Julie and her family moved from Arizona to California. Having given birth six times before, Julie was an old pro at this pregnancy thing and was having a happy, normal pregnancy. Mixed into her week of unpacking and settling was a doctor's appointment at her new OB/Gyn practice. "At the appointment they wanted to do an ultrasound where they discovered many concerns," she said. "By the next day the doctors told us that our daughter most likely had Trisomy 13 or 18, but they couldn't be sure until after she was born and tested."

Trisomy is the presence of three chromosomes instead of one. The most commonly known trisomy is Trisomy 21, otherwise known as Down syndrome. Trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome) and Trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome) are genetic disorders that include health problems that affect almost every organ of the body. They are fatal diagnoses - more than half of babies affected with the conditions do not survive the first week of life, and survivors do not usually make it past their first birthday.

The room was filled with anticipation during the 20 hours of labor. "Everyone held their breath to see if she would survive the delivery," Ela shared. "She held her breath too! But when the doctors tried to intubate her, she let out a tiny cry and started to breathe on her own. It was a miracle!"

Baby Lily was put on a CPAP (a breathing assistance machine) and rushed to the NICU for monitoring. Later that morning, her siblings arrived to visit her. After receiving hand-washing lessons, they filed into the NICU to welcome their baby sister. Each child had an opportunity to touch her and welcome her in their own way, before moving on to Julie's room to spend some time with mom. Later that day, Julie spent some time with Lily in the NICU, and Ela had the opportunity to capture their moments together.

"I couldn't have been happier to have caught her tiny eyes opening - even if it was only for a split second," Ela shared. "She cried a tiny little cry - and I must say it was like music to hear."

Lily lived for two and a half days. During that time her family showered her with love and threw her first and second birthday parties. She passed away peacefully - tube and wire free - in her mother's arms. Her family wrote her a beautiful obituary:

. . . She spent two-and-a-half celestial days with us. We celebrated her first birthday with lilies, handwritten birthday cards from her brothers and sisters, and a big shiny balloon in the shape of a number one. On her second birthday, we gathered round her. We held her. We hugged her and kissed her again and again. We told her how much we loved her, and how we were going to miss her so very much. And we said good-bye. For now.

Though heartbreaking, Ela says the entire two and a half days were beautiful. "I've never seen a mother so radiant and glowing. The faith of this family was beyond measure."

This Ikea Hack For Families Who Cosleep Is Truly Genius

If your kiddos are the type to wake up in the middle of the night and crawl into your bed, or you got sick of that and already started cosleeping so that everyone can get some shut-eye, this incredible Ikea hack may just be the solution to making sure everyone's limbs are kept to themselves while still having the security of all being together in one bed.

Mama and professional photographer, Elizabeth Boyce, has six kiddos - five of which are under 11 years old - and when sleeping in one bed with toddlers and tripping over older kids on the floor in the middle of the night got to be a bit much, she used her craftiness and some materials she already had to create this cosleeping masterpiece from a couple of Ikea Kura beds and a ton of comfy mattresses.

Elizabeth shared the steps to creating this bed that has room for two grown adults and five children on her blog, but really, the setup was simple. She used the two Kura beds to create pseudo bunk beds for her four middle kiddos, and placed a giant king-size mattress in the middle for her and her husband, and their youngest, Elijah.

So far everyone is loving the bed - the idea was to give everyone enough space to sleep better, and it seems to be working out well for them. Though the bed is one cohesive unit, each child has their own space to sleep with their stuffed animals and pillows, and Elizabeth says, "They are staying in their own beds, which is a miracle!"

This is the bed every cosleeping family didn't even know they needed. Send your thank you notes to Elizabeth, because she is a true genius.

A School Asked For 50 Men to Come to a "Breakfast With Dad" Event - 600 Showed Up

When school administrators at Dade Middle School in Dallas, TX, decided to organize a "Breakfast With Dad" event for their male students, they were nervous not enough fathers would actually show up. So to bolster the attendance rate, they put out a call for help on Facebook, asking for 50 men to come to the event as "stand-in" dads for students whose fathers couldn't make it or weren't present in their lives. And, well, they got a little more help than they ever bargained for.

The school's request spread like wildfire, and come the day of the event, 600 men from Northern Texas showed up to lend a helping hand. The volunteers did everything from engaging the boys in casual conversation to teaching them how to tie their ties. Excuse us while we mop up our tears.

Rev. Donald Parish Jr. of True Lee Missionary Baptist Church told The Dallas News why it's so important for middle-school-age boys to participate in events like this. "When a young person sees someone other than their teacher take interest in them, it inspires them. That's what we want to see happen. These kids need all the support they can get to be successful."

Infuriated by His Daughter's Sexist School Activities, This Dad Wrote a Letter About "Gender Lines"

A dad in New South Wales, Australia, made sure his opinion was heard after his daughter told him about the sexism she experienced at school. The dad, Stephen Callaghan, wrote a letter to his daughter Ruby's school after she explained the gender-specific activities planned as a celebration for her year-six graduation. The girls were scheduled to get their hair and makeup done in the school library, and the boys were to be sent on a trip to Bunnings, a hardware-store chain. Stephen didn't find it very appropriate to divide the celebratory activities in such a clear way - who's assuming all the girls want hair and makeup done and wouldn't prefer to go to the store?

In a letter to the principal that Stephen shared on Twitter, he wrote, "When Ruby left for school yesterday it was 2017, but when she returned home in the afternoon she was from 1968." After explaining the activities Ruby informed him about, he continued to sarcastically ask, "Are you able to search the school buildings for a space-time continuum? Perhaps there is a faulty Flux Capacitor hidden away in the girls toilet block?" referencing Back to the Future. In a separate tweet, Stephen mentioned his daughter wants to be an engineer and doesn't "give a rat's arse about make-up."

No One Could Keep It Together During James Franco's Golden Globes Speech

James Franco took home the award for best actor in a musical or comedy at the 2018 Golden Globes, but it was his hilarious speech that had everyone in the room laughing (well, besides Hugh Jackman). The 39-year-old actor was joined on stage by actor Tommy Wiseau, who starred in 2003's widely panned film, The Room, which The Disaster Artist is based upon, and recalled Tommy's eventful night at the Globes 19 years ago when he couldn't get inside. Franco ended his speech thanking his longtime friends, including costar Seth Rogen, and his younger brother, Dave Franco. "I always said I wanted my own Coen brother, someone to collaborate with," he said. "I realize this year I had my own Franco brother. I love him more than anything." Cue the awws.

When Aziz Ansari walked away with the best actor in a musical or comedy television series award at the Golden Globes on Sunday night for his role in the Netflix show Master of None, no one was more surprised than Aziz himself.

"I genuinely didn't think I was going to win because all of the websites said I was going to lose," a shocked Aziz said during his acceptance speech, before getting bleeped out when describing what it would have felt like if he had lost out on the award two years in a row. "I'm glad we won this one because it would've really sucked to lose two of these in a row; it would've been a really sh*tty moment for me, but this is nice."

In addition to thanking the cast and crew of Master of None, the show Aziz created and stars in as the frustrated actor Dev Shah, Aziz gave a shout-out to the country that inspired much of the second season.

"I want to thank Italy for all of the amazing food we ate in season two," Aziz said, before thanking his parents - who also play his parents on the show - "for giving me so much love."

Aziz's accomplishment is a historic win, as he becomes the first Asian-American to nab an acting honor in the television category. If there's something that Aziz is a master of, it's winning big.

The tone was decidedly different at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards. American Crime Story: What You Need to Know About Gianni Versace’s Tragic Murder

The next season of American Crime Story is getting closer, and thanks to a last-minute switch, it's focusing on an entirely different subject. What was once a season centered around the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Katrina has switched places with what used to be the third installment: The Assassination of Gianni Versace. (The Katrina season is still happening, for the record; it's slated to be the show's third season.) The release of the Versace season has been set for Wednesday, Jan. 17, so in the meantime we can brush up on the facts of the chilling crime. What happened to Gianni Versace? Here are the facts.

A Brief History of the Killer

The name of Versace's killer was Andrew Cunanan (who will be played by Darren Criss). In the two weeks leading up to the murder, Cunanan had killed four other people. His victims were ex-Navy lieutenant Jeffrey Trail, 28, a friend; Minneapolis architect David Madson, 33, a former lover; Chicago developer Lee Miglin, 72, whose relationship to Cunanan is unknown; and William Reese, 45, a cemetery caretaker in New Jersey. Cunanan stole Reese's pickup truck and used it for the final portion of his journey.

The Murder of Versace

Gianni Versace (set to be played by Édgar Ramírez) touched down in Miami on July 10, 1997, five days before his murder. He immediately went to Casa Casuarina, his Miami Beach retreat, with his partner Antonio D'Amico (who will be portrayed by Ricky Martin). At that point, Cunanan was already in town.

On July 15, 1997, sometime around 8 a.m., Versace left on his own and walked to a local cafe to buy magazines. He walked home, and just as he put the key in his lock, he was shot twice. The first shot was directly into his face, at point-blank range. He was shot again in the neck, just behind the left ear. The call went in to the police at 8:45 a.m. D'Amico recently recalled how he felt in that moment: "I heard the shot. My heart just stopped to beat . . . So I ran out and then I saw Gianni laying down on the stairs in blood."

Police Involvement, Possible Motives, and the Chase

Carlos Noriega, a lieutenant, was one of the first police men on the case. An early theory was that this had been a contract hit, organized by the mafia. The clue was a dead bird found next to the body. However, further evidence suggested that the bird was just an unfortunate collateral victim - it was hit by a bullet fragment.

Lazaro Quintana, a friend of Versace, followed the gunman. Eventually, the police were in on the chase, and they came across the first evidence. They found a pile of clothes, the stolen pick-up from New Jersey, and a bunch of identification. The police had their suspect three hours after the crime: Andrew Cunanan.

The Final Stand and All the Unanswered Questions

The search for Andrew Cunanan lasted nine days. Finally, the police received a tip. On July 24, a shot had been heard on a houseboat, just a few miles from where Versace had been murdered. Police surrounded the houseboat and remained there for four hours. Finally, the SWAT team fired tear gas and went in.

When the police boarded the boat, Cunanan was already dead. He had shot himself in the temple with the same gun he'd used to kill Versace. Cunanan's suicide left the world with more questions than answers. The police could not draw a connection between the two men, nor could they pin down a motive. They weren't even sure Cunanan and Versace had ever previously crossed paths. It remains one of the most puzzling crimes in recent history, even more than 20 years later.

If American Crime Story creator Ryan Murphy follows the same formula he did for The People v. O.J. Simpson, chances are we'll get a lot more backstory. After all, Murphy included a jarring scene where O.J. Simpson contemplated suicide, and that did actually happen. In order to fill in the blanks and complete the story, Murphy also took a bit of artistic license. Does that mean we'll leave the season with a sense of how everything might be connected? It sure seems like it.

Everything You Didn't Know About the Cecil B. DeMille Award

The 2018 recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award was Oprah Winfrey, who gave a speech that we can safely say will go down in history as one of the greatest speeches any awards show has ever seen. In case you're wondering exactly what the award is, though, here's the 411 on that.

The honorary award has been around since 1952 (the Golden Globes themselves date back to 1943), and the reason the award is called the Cecil B. DeMille Award is because the famous director was its first recipient, at the age of 71.

Cecil B. DeMille got his start in silent movies but worked until the late 1950s, finishing his last project less than a year before he died, at the age of 77. He is best known for The Ten Commandments and The Greatest Show on Earth, for which he earned his first Golden Globe win and first Oscar nomination.

The award was established to honor someone who has made "outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment." Past winners include Walt Disney, Fred Astaire, Bob Hope, Judy Garland (the first female winner), Alfred Hitchcock, Sidney Poitier (the first African-American winner), Steven Spielberg, Barbra Streisand, Jodie Foster, Meryl Streep, and now Oprah Winfrey, the first female African-American recipient.

During her speech, Winfrey said that she remembered watching Poitier win this award and how profound an affect that had on her as a young girl.

"It is not lost on me that, at this moment, there is some little girl watching as I become the first black woman to be given the same award," she said. "It is an honor and it is a privilege to share the evening with all of them."

Winfrey ended the speech by saying that a new dawn is coming for women everywhere - and her passion makes it hard not to believe it.

Grab Some Tissues, Because Sterling K. Brown Has Revealed When Jack Will Die on This Is Us

The focus of Sterling K. Brown's night at the Golden Globe Awards might have been on his incredible win (and acceptance speech) for his role on This Is Us, but the actor also managed to drop a few spoilers about the hit NBC family drama. While walking the red carpet with wife Ryan Michelle Bathe on Sunday, Brown stopped to chat with E! News during their Golden Globes pre-show, where he let slip a significant clue about when Jack Pearson's death will finally happen onscreen.

"Before this season is over we will see how Jack Pearson dies," Brown confirmed to Ryan Seacrest. "I won't say too much more about it, but there's only eight episodes, so it will happen soon."

The show is in the midst of its emotional second season, which has seen some great arcs for Brown's character, Randall Pearson. Randall and wife Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) set out on an adoption journey, and further fueled the theory-heavy fandom that surrounds the award-winning show. When This Is Us returns, not only can we expect a conclusion to the Jack saga, but also Randall's tense confrontation with his brother Kevin (Justin Hartley), who closed out the Winter finale by driving drunk with Randall's daughter in the car.

The Good, the Bad, and the Extremely Ugly: What Critics Are Saying About Bright

I have to hand it to Bright - the concept behind the film, which takes place in an alternate version of LA where orcs, fairies, and elves live alongside humans, genuinely intrigued me. The idea of Will Smith and Joel Edgerton playing a pair of mismatched cops - Daryl Ward (Smith), a human man, and Nick Jakoby (Edgerton), an orc - who must overcome their differences and their community's racism to keep a magic wand from getting into the hands of an evil elf (Noomi Rapace) was enough to make me stop and say, "You know what? I'll give this insane movie a shot."

Not to mention, Netflix poured a reported $90 million into the project led by Suicide Squad director David Ayer and screenwriter Max Landis and already greenlit a sequel. It couldn't bomb that hard, could it? According to some critics: yes, yes it could. There have been some positive responses to Bright so far, sure, but on the whole, the critiques have been damning. See exactly what they're saying below.

The Hollywood Reporter

The Hollywood Reporter's John DeFore called the fantasy-gritty cop mashup "plenty embarrassing" and said that it's "awkward enough to make Cowboys & Aliens look like a stroke of genius." He added: "Stars Will Smith and Joel Edgerton play it mostly straight here, doing their part to sell the dopey premise, but the screenplay offers viewers little reward for our own suspension of disbelief. The supernatural elements are so poorly explained and implemented they make us wish we were watching some generic reality-based policier instead."

The Wrap

The Wrap's Todd Gilchrist did not mince words: "If this new Netflix production exemplifies Ayer's creativity unfettered by major-studio interference, I'll take a lousy DC movie over . . . whatever this is any day of the week. Astoundingly bad in virtually every way, Bright shares in common several of the shortcomings of Ayer's previous film, including conspicuous evidence of desperate efforts to cobble its under-explained and yet somehow overcomplicated mythology into something coherent."

IndieWire

IndieWire's David Erlich put it bluntly: "There's boring, there's bad, and then there's Bright, a movie so profoundly awful that Republicans will probably try to pass it into law over Christmas break. From the director of Suicide Squad and the writer of Victor Frankenstein comes a fresh slice of hell that somehow represents new lows for them both - a dull and painfully derivative ordeal that that often feels like it was made just to put those earlier misfires into perspective. The only thing more predictable than this high-concept police story is the idea that a year as punishing as 2017 would save the worst for last."

The Guardian

If you're one of the few who enjoyed Bright, you're not alone. The Guardian's Steve Rose commended the film for taking risks, saying, "For all its flaws, Bright is still a headlong leap into a bracingly different new world. Cinema could do with more of that." He also praised Edgerton's performance, writing that he "gives his orc character a credible blend of timidity, dignity and inner turmoil."

Vanity Fair

Vanity Fair's Jordan Hoffman wrote of the film's potential to ruin Netflix's big Hollywood debut. "There is a whiff of an interesting idea in there, but it is buried in tedious scenes lacking clear direction, endless generic (and poorly lit) shoot-outs, and cringeworthy sequences of allegedly witty banter. This movie is an absolute wreck - which is unfortunate, as it is also something of a big debut for Netflix's original-films shingle."

Los Angeles Times

Noel Murray of the Los Angeles Times called it "less than thrilling" and questioned its sequel potential. "It's hard to imagine Bright inspiring anyone to want to see or make a full-blown series of films. Aside from a few nifty ideas and the occasional amusing or exciting scene, this film is a chore."

Vulture

Vulture's Emily Yoshida took issue with the film's choice to merely skim the surface when it came to exploring its racial undertones (even if that was for the best). "Bright turns out to be more interested in its mythrilpunk world-building than any kind of social commentary, which is a good thing, because while it is so-so at the former (the plot holes in this thing), it is clearly out of its depth with the latter," she wrote.

Fortune

Fortune's Scott Mendelson declared Bright "a giant Christmas/Hanukah gift from Netflix to the major studios" since it shows the streaming giant might not be as big of a threat to them as they think. "Congratulations, Netflix!" he writes. "You can make a visually grotesque, dreadfully dull and hopelessly convoluted would-be franchise action movie just as well as the stereotypical Hollywood machine!"

Variety

Variety's Peter Debruge was a huge fan of the daring genre bender. "Bright is the best Netflix original movie to date, and it absolutely deserves to be seen on the big screen, though don't let that stop you from watching it home, as End of Watch director David Ayer's welcome return to the cop-movie genre - following a disastrous wrong turn into Suicide Squad territory, of which we will say no more - fills an intense, grown-up movie niche that Hollywood once did so well, but has since replaced with formula-driven product."

Bright is now streaming on Netflix.

The pair have reunited after nearly 20 years for the upcoming Roseanne reboot on ABC. Although Goodman's character, Dan, died in the finale, the writers couldn't resist bringing him back. Everything You Need to Know About Golden Globe Nominee Mudbound

One of the buzziest movies celebrated at the Golden Globes was Mudbound, a film which has earned Mary J. Blige nominations for both best supporting actress and best original song in a motion picture. The film first debuted at Sundance Film Festival last Winter and was snapped up by Netflix in a small bidding war in early 2017 before being released on the streaming site in November.

For those who opted to check out Netflix's more viral end-of-year items like A Christmas Prince and Bright, though, you might be wondering why it is that this film has gotten so much love from the critics and features so prominently in the award season circuit. So, here's a crash course on what you need to know about Mudbound.

Cowritten and directed by the acclaimed Dee Rees, the historical drama picture centers on a pair of families whose sons fight in World War II and who are irreversibly altered by both combat and their life-changing interactions with people of another race.

Back at home, the McAllan family (Garrett Hedlund, Carey Mulligan, and Jason Clarke) is headed up by Pappy (Jonathan Banks), an elder white man whose affiliation with the Ku Klux Klan makes him both mean and dangerous to their neighboring family, the Jacksons (Blige, Rob Morgan, and Jason Mitchell). The Jacksons are impoverished black tenant farmers who are working toward owning a parcel of land all their own, and although the two are in remarkably similar straits when it comes to their various personal hardships, Pappy continues to degrade the Jacksons.

That all changes once the grown children of each family discover their common bonds - through hard luck that threatens their livelihood, physical wounds, and the mental anguish of war - and the soldier sons in particular form a bond that only fuels Pappy's hatred.

What becomes of all of them is equal parts upsetting, satisfying, and brutally honest in this feature-length examination of what happens when people who are convinced to fear each other finally discover the banality of hate.

Nicole Kidman's performance in Big Little Lies continues to rake in accolades. After winning an Emmy back in September, the actress took home the Golden Globe award for best performance by an actress in a limited series or a motion picture on Sunday night for her role as Celeste in the HBO drama. When we saw Issa Rae's Golden Globes makeup, we were totally entranced. Then the star turned around and we fell in love with her hair.

We Can't Tear Our Eyes Away From Rachel Brosnahan's Gravity-Defying Ballerina Bun

The Golden Globes red carpet was filled with a plethora of head-turning beauty looks, but Rachel Brosnahan's gorgeous getup certainly stood out among the sea of black dresses. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star, who took home the award for best comedy actress in a television musical or comedy, wore her hair in the most mesmerizing ballerina bun that immediately caught our attention.

Is there any such thing as a boring Halle Berry beauty moment? We think not. The actress, who debuted her natural hair at the Oscars last year, kicked off the 2018 award season at the Golden Globes glowing like an actual Golden Globe.

Halle walked the red carpet flaunting tousled bangs and a chic long ponytail, appropriate for the red carpet and beyond. Her skin was beaming thanks to Jorge Monroy for Armani Beauty. He prepped and perfected Halle's skin with Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ($64). Her highlight was a blend of Fluid Sheer ($62) in #6 and #11, and Sun Fabric Bronzer ($56) gave her complexion added warmth.

A Lesson in Styling a Pixie Cut, Straight From Kate Hudson at the Golden Globes

Since shaving her head for a role last year, Kate Hudson continues to rock her supershort hair. At the 2018 Golden Globes, the actress styled her classic pixie cut with a thin velvet headband that stood out without distracting from the rest of her stunning look. Styled by David Babaii, her hair appeared effortless with certain pieces given more texture with product.

Margot Robbie Wore 3 Chanel Lipsticks to Get Her Bold Makeup Look at the Globes

You know what goes really well with a black dress? Bold lipstick! And Margot Robbie clearly got that memo when she chose her beauty look for the 2018 Golden Globes. POPSUGAR exclusively interviewed Margot's makeup artist, Pati Dubroff. She worked with Chanel on this look, which she described as "sun-kissed chic - beach babe gets dressed up."

"Margot [has] bronzed skin from holidays in Australia, and she was quite tan, so I was excited to play up that sun-kissed vibe. And the incredible beadwork on the dress called for a chic lip," Pati said. "The lip color I chose was inspired by orchids I saw on my holiday in Sri Lanka. I went into this orchid room and was taking pictures for an hour. When I was choosing Margot's lipstick, I kept thinking about the orchids! I used three shades to mimic the gradiation of color in orchid."

Pati first applied Chanel Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour in Suzanne ($37) as a base. She explained that this gave a little depth to her natural lip shade. Next, she added Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in La Sensuelle ($37), focusing it more on the outer edges and corners. She finished by applying Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in La Romanesque in the center of her lips for added dimension.

"People don't always understand why, when they use one lipstick, they're not getting the same effect as on the red carpet," Patti explained. "They're not getting the same depth or contour. By layering lipstick, you can get dimension and achieve a more vibrant and plump look."

The secret to Margot's postvacation glow was Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Élégance ($45) dusted on her cheeks.

Margot's bumpy beach waves were created by Bryce Scarlett for Moroccanoil. We love how the style was both glossy and undone, in that the waves were pretty relaxed.
